Pairings: Luka Couffaine X Reader , Felix Graham De Vanily X Reader.
Warnings: swearing!
Felix
Felix Graham de Vanily has never imagined the day when he would be actually in love - but it actually happened and he wasn’t even prepared for it.
Needless to say, it hit him like a truck and sent him to heaven.
This was his heaven, being on a big bed with you and playing with your hair while you watched your favourite show on Netflix.
“I told you he was going to be the bad guy! I knew it all along!” You exclaimed and jumped up, startling him but ultimately, making him smile.
“It was quite obvious my love.” He chuckles and you pout, crossing your arms while you plop back down next to him.
“But he was my favourite character Felix! And he’s probably going to die now too.” You look up at him and he can’t help but smile at your adorable, pouting face.
He cups your face in his hands and you instantly smile when you see his smile. It was contagious. He rarely smiled so you just feel so much joy bubbling inside of you when the blond smiled at you and you couldn’t help it.
He quickly kisses the tip of your nose and you giggle before crawling on his lap, peppering his face with kisses and completely ignoring the show you were watching.
The room was filled with little kissing noises and giggles coming from both of you.
His hand moves from your waist to your thighs, caressing the fabric of the white thigh high socks you were wearing beneath your pink tennis skirt.
His touch comforted you and you close your eyes, resting your forehead on his and humming gently.
“You’re so beautiful.” He whispers out of the blue and you gently open your eyes, staring right into his.
A blush creeps on your cheeks and you part your lips, inching closer to his face to kiss him.
A thought bursts through your head move your lips could touch and you smile brightly.
“Can we go feed the ducks again?” You ask him, your eyes bright and excited at the memory of the last time you went with him.
He took you to the park last time and you fed the ducks together because it was something he enjoyed doing as a child with his nanny. You didn’t know that such a simple activity could bring him so much joy and you were looking forward to the next time you two did it.
His face lights up and he nods, “Of course darling.” He replies and you excitedly hop off of his lap. “Wait you meant right now?” He asks, furrowing his eyebrows.
You were already lacing up your boots so you look at him over your shoulder and pout. “Yes?” You question.
“I thought we were going to..you know..” He looks away sheepishly.
You smirk at him. “Don’t worry Felix, you can have me all to yourself later, I promise.” You say and finish with a wink.
He nods and blushes, letting out a small chuckle.
You finish up putting on your boots and wait for him to get ready before the two of you head out of his house hand in hand.
You two walk through the park, his hand in one of your hands and in the other hand you held a small paper bag full of bread for the ducks.
Children were playing all over the park and people were chatting around you. It was nice to get out of the house with him sometimes, even if he does prefer staying at home.
“Oh look it’s Felix.” A male voice said which was followed by laughter.
You feel Felix tense up and he freezes.
You were quite confused as to what was happening so you decide to turn around and see two guys around the same age as Felix and you.
“Please ignore them my love, let’s go.” He whispers to you and you furrow your eyebrows at them before nodding to Felix.
“I see you got yourself a little girlfriend.” They speak again and you can hear their footsteps behind you. “You’re making a big mistake dating that little pansy babe, come with us and we’ll show you what a real man is like.”
You were livid.
You couldn’t control yourself so you turn around, letting go of your boyfriend’s hand.
“A real man huh?” You say and cross your arms over your chest, walking up to them. “I’d rather die than date one of you hideous mother fuckers.”
They were taken aback, wide eyed, probably not expecting you to talk back.
“Felix is more of a man than you ever will be.” You stare right into the bully’s eyes. “When was the last time you ever got some huh?” your lips curl into a smirk.
“I-i…uhm, well..” he stutters and the other nudges him, mouthing something.
“That’s what I thought.” You say and turn around. “Don’t ever come for my boyfriend again.” You state and grab felix’s hand, looking up at him.
His face was beet red, his eyes were wide and you couldn’t help but grab the back of his head and kiss him right then and there.
He smiles against your lips and you pull away before the two of you walk away from them.
“That was..” He clears his throat. “hot.” He blurts out.
You cover your mouth with your hand and giggle.
The two of you continue your day near the lake, laughing and throwing bread for the ducks to eat.
He made you feel safe and now you were at peace knowing you did the same to him too.
 Luka
You’ve been waiting for this night for a long time.
Your boyfriend’s first opening gig with his band.
It wasn’t something grand and big – I mean, it was just a small pub downtown but you knew this was a big night for him and so it turned out to be a big night for you too.
You were ready to show him all your support and love, wearing your favourite flowy dress and his lucky guitar pick hanging on a silver chain around your neck.
Your friend Marinette was by your side, she even designed the costumes for everyone so both of you were super psyched for what was happening.
You made your way to the back stage and saw your boyfriend, Luka, sitting down on a chair and tuning his guitar, nodding his head to the beat.
“Luka..” You whisper and tap his shoulder.
He opens his eyes and looks at you, a smile instantly making it’s way on his face.
“There’s my favourite girl.” He says and gets up, hugging you tightly while you giggle. “I’m so glad you could make it.” He says quietly.
“I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” You say and kiss him on the cheek.
He kisses you on the forehead and pulls away from the hug, wrapping an arm around your neck.
“Hey Marinette.” He says and smiles at her.
The bluenette grins at the two of you. “Are you excited?” She asks.
“More like nervous.” Luka replies and let’s out a heavy breath. “I’m not usually this nervous but damn, I can’t believe we finally got a gig.”
You look up at your boyfriend with adoring eyes. “Don’t be nervous Luka, I know it’s going to go great.” You reassure him and he smiles down at you, nodding.
Luka is a really calm person so seeing him nervous means that this really means a lot to him. He has been practicing for weeks and you couldn’t be more proud of how far he’s come.
You gasp at the sudden realisation of something and move away from his grasp, rummaging through your little back pack.
“A-ha!” You say and pull out a blue bracelet that you made yourself.
You look up at Luka and smile before handing it to him.
“I made this for you and I want you to wear it tonight for goodluck.” You say, your cheeks heating up when you look at him as he stares at the bracelet you made. “Since you gave me your lucky guitar pick for me to wear, I thought I should give you some luck of my own.” You look down at your shoes sheepishly.
“You’re an absolute angel, have I ever told you that?” He says and grabs your hand, making you look up at him.
You glance down at his wrist and see that he already put on the bracelet.
You get on your tip toes and give him a small kiss on the lips.
“Thank you.” He whispers and tucks a strand of your hair behind your ear.
“Guys get ready in 5” Someone says from the curtains and Luka instantly stiffens up.
You give him one last kiss on the cheek before walking next to Marinette.
“Goodluck.” You say and give him a reassuring smile as you wave at him.
He nods at you and runs a hand through is hair before grabbing his guitar.
You and Marinette leave back stage and make your way to your seats.
The pub was small so it easily got crowded with people.
You sigh and play with your hair. “I’m so nervous for Luka, Mari.” You tell Marinette.
She rubs your shoulder to calm you down and shakes her head.
“He’s going to do just fine girl, you’ll see.” She says and gives you a bright smile which comforted you.
The background music playing in the pub fades away and the lights start to dim.
“La bulle proudly presents, Kitty Section!” A voice says over the speakers and whistles and claps fill the room.
The curtains open and it reveals the band in their designated places.
You glance at Luka and smile at him before the music starts.
Rose was in front, singing her heart out to their original song and Luka was behind her, nodding his head as he played the guitar with passion.
You admired him and his talents, he used to write and sing so many songs for you, little did you know that one day he would actually be performing in front of a real audience.
Luka was vocalising to the chorus with rose and his eyes suddenly find yours.
He looked amazing.
The clothes that Marinette styled them with, his skin glistening under the lights and a few strands of hair stuck to his forehead because of the sweat.
You bit your lip as you kept looking at him. He was so into the song, so immersed in everything and it was so fucking hot to you.
He noticed this and his lips curled into a small smirk.
“Wow.” You breathed out quietly.
Marinette was beaming at the band and clapping. “I know right!” She laughs happily.
You grinned and sat up as they ended and clapped.
The whole pub was clapping for your boyfriends band and you were so happy for them.
Everyone was walking to talk to them of greet them and all you had on your mind was Luka, you just wanted to hug him and congratulate him and maybe even make out with him in the bathroom.
“Excuse me.” You mutter as you try to make way towards him.
Your eye catches a blonde girl in front of him, talking to him and laughing.
You freeze and something bubbles inside of you.
Jealousy?
You weren’t the type to be jealous but you couldn’t help the feeling.
You decided not to think much of it and gulped, continuing to make your way toward them.
“Can you like, sign my boobs?” You hear her say and giggle.
“Pardon?” Luka blurts out, looking at her with wide eyes.
Nope. That was it.
You quickly move between the last few people and walk up to them.
The girl started to unbutton her shirt and you furrowed your eyebrows.
Before anything else could happen you made your way to Luka and grabbed his shirt, kissing him.
The girl stopped her movements but held her hand on the buttons of her shirt.
You pull away from Luka and watch him as he blinks a few times, dazed as to what just happened.
“go show your boobs to someone else you skank.” You spit out, narrowing your eyes at her.
She scoffs at you and flips her hair before walking away from you guys.
You clench your jaw and Luka grabs your hand.
“Hey, are you okay?” Luka says and you huff.
“Yeah, I’m fine.” You look away from him and frown.
“You know, I wasn’t going to sign her boobs.” He says and shrugs.
You look at him and roll your eyes. “Yeah.” You murmur.
“Didn’t know you could be so jealous.” He says in a teasing voice.
It was your turn to scoff and you look at him. “I wasn’t jealous.”
“Uh-huh.” He says and you stare into his eyes for a moment.
He was smirking at you, so calm, while you were red and angry inside at the thought of some bitch showing her boobs to your boyfriend.
Next thing you knew though, you were sitting on the sink of the pubs bathroom, making out with your boyfriend.

Ch. 1 / Ch. 14 / Ch. 16 (Ao3)
Chapter 15: Someone to Lean on
Felix crept through the darkness of the mansion, careful not to make a sound. Allegra’s footsteps echoed behind him in another room, slow and taunting, growing ever-closer as she searched for them. He needed to find a new hiding place soon or he was going to get caught, and being a seeker never ended well for him, especially when the hiders were tucked away in a mansion that they all knew like the back of their hands. The only person he might be able to find was Marinette, and even that was a stretch, as she was apparently a master at this game too. (Or was she just a master at everything?)
“Come out, come out, wherever you are~.” Allegra’s sing-song voice raised the hair on the back of Felix’s neck, and he barely bit back a sharp inhale. That clearly came from the kitchen, and it would only take a few more steps for her to be in the foyer with him. Should he run for the stairs? Dive for the family room couch? Stand in a dark corner and pray to everything holy that she wouldn’t see him?
Felix’s gaze darted around the room for an out. What should he do, what should he-
He spotted a tall coat cabinet in the foyer, not too far from where he was now. Without hesitation, he began tip-toeing towards it, casting wary glances over his shoulder. The hiding place might be a tad obvious, but it was better than standing out in the open.
Quietly, Felix cracked the cabinet door open and slipped inside, pushing aside the coats and jackets as he did. Allegra’s footsteps sounded fainter now. Hopefully that meant she hadn’t heard him-
Felix stopped short when his hand landed on something solid, something that definitely wasn’t a jacket or a coat. He yanked his hand back with a gasp, but before he could yelp or scream, another hand- one that wasn’t his -clamped over his mouth.
“No, no, it’s just me!” A voice whispered. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you.”
Felix took a moment to breath, assessing the person in front of him. His eyes hadn’t quite adjusted to the pitch blackness of the cabinet yet, but he could scarcely make out the silhouette of a small figure with pigtails.
“..Marinette?” He asked, pulling her hand away. How had he not noticed her before? Their chests were practically pressed together.
She nodded. “I didn’t want us getting caught. Allegra’s somewhere in the kitchen right?”
“Last I heard.”
The two paused to listen for any signs of movement. Everything appeared to be strangely quiet now, but perhaps that meant Allegra had moved upstairs.
“Sorry for imposing.” He said once he felt the coast was clear. “I’ll go find another hiding pla-”
“Oh!” Marinette let out a soft exclamation as she grabbed his shoulders and pulled him further into the cabinet, preventing him from leaving. Her gaze snapped to the cabinet door, where, right outside, they could hear Allegra roaming around. She hadn’t gone upstairs. She’d simply stopped in the foyer to listen for more sounds herself.
Felix and Marinette stood stock still in the cabinet, both holding their breath as Allegra strolled closer to the cabinet. Had she heard them talking? Was she coming to check the cabinet? What was going to happen if she found both of them at the same time?
The steps stopped in front of the cabinet, and everything fell silent again. Anticipation twisted through Felix’s stomach as they waited for something to happen. Was Allegra going to pass by or not? Why was she taking so long to decide? Just get it over with!
“I’m going to find you guys eventually~.” The blonde sang, her steps finally receding. “You know it’s only a matter of time.”
Marinette and Felix breathed a sigh of relief when Allegra began hopping up the stairs, and Marinette let her hands fall from Felix’s shoulders.
“That was close.” She muttered. “Maybe you should stay here a bit longer? She might see you if you try to leave now.”
Felix frowned. “Are you sure you’re okay with that?”
Being crammed into a small space together might not be bad in the first minute or so, but standing in their current position any longer than that will most likely bear a certain level of discomfort. What if Allegra comes back before he has a proper chance to escape? He wouldn’t want Marinette to feel as though she were stuck in this enclosed space with him.
“Yep!” She replied, carefree as always. “It doesn’t bother me at all. Do you mind, though? I know you usually don’t like touching other people.”
Felix shifted against the coats behind him. That was mostly true, but.. he’s come to realize that his preference of touch doesn’t apply to Marinette. She’d proven it to him time and again- at the aquarium, when they walked and talked together without him even realizing that they were touching. Then at the café, when she held his hand and it actually comforted him. And now, when they were so close that he could feel the brush of her breath and the warmth of her skin, yet he couldn’t bring himself to care.
He’d never quite found a reason for the strange exception, but it was the first time he’d met someone, aside from his parents, who he felt truly comfortable being around. So, he figured, why question a good thing?
“No.” He answered, his faint smile probably lost in the darkness. “No, I don’t mind at all-”
The cabinet door flung open with a *Bang!*, causing Marinette and Felix to jump back with a slight scream.
“Found you!” A voice trilled, but it wasn’t Allegra’s. No, this voice was far too sinister to be hers.
A woman stood in front of them with a triumphant grin, wearing clothes of whites and blues, and Felix felt his heart stop in his chest when he recognized the round mask on her face and the sharp pieces of her wind-mill-themed skirt. Only that blasted akuma from the café would wear such a costume.
“How did you-” His question was cut off as she kicked him right in the stomach. The extra strength from her powers sent him flying through the back of the cabinet and skidding across the floor, and suddenly, everything was bright and shining above him. Felix coughed and gasped for the air that had been knocked out of him, all the while trying to find out why Whirlwind was even there. Had she been stalking them? Why? Wasn’t her priority supposed to be destroying buildings and not people? Why was there so much light in the room now?
Felix dragged his gaze upwards to see if Marinette was alright, but instead was met with the sight of buildings and streets. Was he in the city again? How was that possible?
The sun blazed down on him, filling him with panic as he realized it was now daytime, despite it being nighttime only seconds ago. Did he fall unconscious? Was that why he didn’t remember getting here? But that meant Whirlwind had to have brought him here.. What would be the point of that?
“Oh, finally! I was starting to think you’d never wake up!”
Felix’s eyes snapped forward, immediately meeting the ferocious gaze of the akuma. Had she been sitting there in her winds the entire time?
“You should really set an alarm next time.” Whirlwind mused as she brought another miniature tornado forward. “It’s rude to keep your friends waiting, after all.”
Felix’s heart officially dropped to the pit of his stomach when he saw Marinette twirling in Whirlwind’s hold. She wasn’t saying anything, but the look on her face was enough for him to know how terrified she was. It was the café incident all over again.
Felix shook his head and took a deep breath. No. No, he could not go through this again. He refused to sit by and watch Marinette get taken away from him a second time.
In a burst of speed, he pushed himself to his feet and rushed forward, colliding with Marinette before the akuma could react. They spun in the air, but in the next second, right when he thought they were safe, she disappeared. And Felix was left holding onto himself.
He gasped and looked around, his mind racing with thoughts of where she possibly could have gone. The city was crumbling beneath his feet now, and he wondered how Whirlwind could have taken them so high in the time it took him to blink his eyes.
“It really was a nice effort.”
His gaze turned to the akuma in question, who was fixing him with a look of feigned pity.
“But in the end, it was futile.” She smiled. “And now you will meet the same fate as your dear, sweet Marinette.”
Felix sucked in a breath. What did she mean the same fate as..
He looked to the wrecked streets below, praying that he wouldn’t find what he was searching for, but it only took a few seconds for him to see her. Marinette was laying amongst the wreckage, her back facing upwards, and she wasn’t moving. Oh, gosh, she wasn’t moving!
He didn’t have time to process his grief, because Whirlwind took that opportunity to drop him as well. Felix let out a scream and flailed around in the air, trying to grasp for something- anything -as he tumbled to his death. Was this how Marinette felt in her final moments? A numbing sense of terror as she watched her life flash before her eyes? Was this how his own life was going to end?
The wind rushed past his ears in a deafening manner, and his heart pounded against his chest. He was painfully aware of the distance between himself and the ground and the way it was rapidly decreasing, growing smaller and smaller and smaller until-
Felix jolted upwards with a gasp, his eyes darting around the darkness that he’d been thrown into once again. Claude and Allan were lying next to him, huddled up in their own blankets as they slept away soundly. A fan buzzed in the background, breaking the quiet-ness of the night with its white noise. Everything was.. Everything was fine.
A sigh escaped his lips, and he ran a hand through his hair as he tried to calm down. A dream.. That had only been a dream.
Or rather, a nightmare.
Felix pushed aside his covers and slipped out of bed, careful not to wake the other boys, specifically Claude. If they woke up now, they would ask questions, and he didn’t want to deal with that. Right now, he just wanted.. Well, he wasn’t sure what he wanted. Perhaps to find a quiet place and sit for a while. He certainly wasn’t going to try to fall back asleep. That would only lead to more horrors.
The echoes of his footsteps felt much too loud, despite him tiptoeing down the stairs, but Felix supposed anything could be considered loud in an open mansion such as this one, especially when it was the middle of the night. He crept through the foyer to the kitchen, where the moon was casting a soft, silver glow across the marble floors and countertops, and shuffled over to the cabinet for a cup. He wasn’t particularly thirsty, but it would provide a decent excuse should someone walk in on him.
Felix leaned against the kitchen island, idly twisting his cup in his hands. The coolness of the water inside was soothing as it pressed against his palms and fingertips, and he gladly pushed the fuzzy images of his nightmare to the back of his mind to focus on that feeling. It was ridiculous anyway, that dream. The chances of Whirlwind coming back for revenge were next to none, and even if she did, Felix doubted she would be able to find them. At the very least the heroes would find her first. So why did he worry about it? Why did he continue to have nightmares despite the fact that over a week has passed since the incident? It was over. They were safe. Felix knew this.
And yet..
A chair in the dining room abruptly scraped across the floor, causing Felix to jump, and his gaze flicked to the kitchen doorway. No one else should be up at.. What time was it again?
Felix looked to the oven clock and almost fell over when he saw 4:00 blinking in a bright green color. Was it really that late? (or would that be considered early?)
“Ow..” A light voice muttered, immediately yanking Felix’s attention back to the dining room. Was that..?
The small figure of Marinette Dupain-Cheng stumbled to the kitchen doorway, holding onto the tip of her right foot as she went. She must have stubbed her toe on the chair earlier, which was honestly a very Marinette thing to do.
“Are you alright?” He found himself asking.
Marinette startled, as one would expect, and looked up at him with wide eyes.
“Oh, Felix! I didn’t think you’d be up this late.”
“I could say the same thing about you. What are you doing down here?”
Marinette dropped her foot and joined him in the kitchen. “I couldn’t sleep, so I figured I would just come down and get some water or a snack.”
Felix offered a small smile. “You couldn’t sleep in a bed like Allegra’s?”
Marinette chuckled. “I know right. Her bed is super comfortable.”
“So why couldn’t you sleep? Is there something troubling you?”
The same way my nightmares are troubling me.
“Oh, no.” Marinette said, idly opening a cabinet to look for a cup. “I just can’t sleep sometimes. My mom-”
“The cups are in the far cabinet on the right.”
“Oh, thanks. My mom thinks I have a mild case of insomnia.”
Felix hummed. A mild case of insomnia, huh? He wasn’t aware that one could have such a thing. Was this a regular occurrence for her? How long had she had it?
“What about you?” Marinette asked, cutting into his thoughts. “What are you doing up this late?”
“Ah..” Felix faltered. He knew she wouldn’t judge or scold him for having nightmares- Marinette wasn’t the type to do that -but telling her about them probably wouldn’t help the situation either. She can’t magically make them disappear, and knowing about them might make her feel guilty or upset. (Plus, telling someone that you dreamt about them was always an awkward conversation topic. She’d no doubt get the wrong idea, and even the right idea was a tad strange. Who dreams about their friend being abducted and murdered before their eyes?)
“Claude’s snoring.” He finally said, casting his eyes to the moonlight that lined the floors. “I swear that man can rival an elephant.”
A laugh tumbled from Marinette, and she leaned against the island next to him. “Wow, I can only imagine. Have you tried waking him up real quick? Maman always wakes Papa up when he snores, and after he repositions himself, the snoring stops.”
“No, I hadn’t thought of that, but I doubt it will help. Claude’s.. condition is quite incurable. He’s acquired a decent handful of detention slips for disrupting class with his snoring.”
Marinette snorted. “Are you serious?”
“Deadly.”
“That’s crazy.. What about Allan? Is he awake because of the snoring too?”
Felix shook his head. “Allan hardly stirs. I assume it’s because he’s had slumber parties with Claude since they were kids. Either that or he has a secret pair of noise canceling headphones that I don’t know about.”
Marinette giggled. “I’m betting on the headphones.”
Felix smiled as well, and the conversation paused for Marinette to take a sip of her water. He took that opportunity to finally drink from his own cup too.
There were so many things that he wanted to ask her, about the akuma attack and the insomnia and several other things, but he wasn’t sure how, or if he even should. Felix had told himself to stop meddling in her personal affairs, lest he become as nosy as the others, but they were alone again. And right now would be the perfect time to get a question or two off of his chest. He didn’t have to ask anything too personal. Just a query or two about the attack. She could always say no, right?
“..Marinette?”
She glanced at him over her red mug. “Hm?”
“Do you mind if I ask you a question?”
A hint of curiosity flickered in her eyes, and she set her mug aside. “What kind of question?”
“Well,” Felix said, choosing his words carefully, “it was about the akuma attack we got involved in at the café last week. You don’t have to answer, since I know it can be a delicate topic, but.. How did you manage to stay composed during the ordeal? You were abducted by a terrorist and dropped from the sky, almost dying, yet you acted like nothing happened when you got back.”
Marinette’s eyes widened, clearly surprised by the question, but she didn’t turn away or become uncomfortable like he expected her to. Instead, she simply drew in a breath as she thought the question over.
“Uh.. I don’t know. Back at my old school, we sort of had akumas all the time. It was like a breeding ground for them really. Still is. So I kind of learned how to deal with the attacks on my own. It’s definitely scary sometimes, but if you let yourself panic, you get captured. Or worse, you drag other people into danger with you. And I can’t let that happen, ya know?”
A deep sense of grief twisted in Felix’s stomach, because he didn’t know what that was like, and it pained him to hear that she did. What kind of school runs such a toxic environment that akumas become a common occurrence? How have they not been sued for the mistreat of the students yet? Was this why Marinette never talked about her old school life?
“Was that why you transferred schools?”
Marinette let out a soft chuckle, and although it was a sad one, Felix still couldn’t believe his ears. How could she possibly find this funny or ironic in any way?
“I supposed it was one of the reasons, yes.” She said, and Felix swore the air was sucked from his lungs when he heard it. She supposed? What did she mean supposed?! What did she endure during her years at Dupont that would make continuous, near-death experiences an afterthought when it came to leaving?
He wanted to be angry. He wanted to be completely disgusted about the gross mistreatment that Marinette had gone through, and a good part of him was. No one should be treated that way, least of all a group of children and teenagers who were supposed to be protected. But he also held an immense amount of respect towards her. After going through so much in only a short period of time, Marinette has continued to smile and be happy and kind towards the people around her. That took a lot of strength that Felix knew he certainly didn’t have.
She truly was amazing.
“I’m sorry you had to go through that.” He said sincerely.
Marinette shrugged, though she offered him a grateful smile. “It could have been worse. I’m just grateful Ladybug was able to fix everything after the attacks.”
Felix held back a sigh. It could have been worse, yes, but it also could have been much better.
“..What was the other reason you left?”
He knew he shouldn’t have asked the question, since it was bound to be too personal, but his curiosity got the better of him. What type of pain or discomfort would rank higher in her mind than terrorist attacks?
Something flashed across her features, but before Felix could place what that something was, Marinette forced at a nervous laugh.
“Uh, you- you know what? Why don’t we talk about you? I feel like you know so much about me, but I barely know anything about you.”
The dodge was more than obvious, but Felix let it slide without complaint. It was only fair, after all. Her life wasn’t any of his business. The fact that she’d answered any of his questions was more than enough.
“What would you like to know?”
Marinette hummed, her posture relaxing significantly now that the subject had changed. “I don’t know.. What about your old school? Allegra said you exchanged schools two or three years ago, right? Where did you go before that?”
Felix’s lips quirked up in a small smile. That was a decent question. “I didn’t. My mother homeschooled me.”
“Herself?”
“Yes.”
“Wow.” Marinette replied, strangely surprised by that fact. “Why did you decide to go to Rosemary?”
Felix heaved a sigh. “Again, I didn’t. When I became a teenager, my mother got the ludicrous thought in her head that I needed to go out and make friends. So she sent me off to that private school without letting me have a say in the matter.”
Marinette didn’t laugh outright, but the moonlight shining through the window revealed the glimmer of mirth and amusement in her eyes. “I take it you would have rather stayed home?”
Felix scoffed. “Absolutely. I’ve been suffering ever since I started attending. The students there are not only spoiled, they’re also mostly morons, which makes them incredibly obnoxious.” He tilted his head in her direction. “You excluded, of course.”
A smile graced her lips. “Of course. But what about Claude, Allegra, and Allan?”
“Oh, they’re definitely obnoxious with the rest of the school.”
Marinette laughed. “Come on, they’re not that bad.”
Felix hummed. “No, I suppose they’re not, but you can’t ever tell them I said that.”
“My lips are sealed.” She jokingly promised. “..Tell me more about your home life.”
The next few hours were spent idly chatting together, talking about him, talking about her, but mostly talking about him. Felix told her about his father’s business and his mother’s quirkiness, about the family dinners they would have and the way his mother insisted on cooking everything with his help. He told her about the books he’d read and how he’d become so engrossed in literature, and, once the topics of his home finally ran dry, he told her about his time at Rosemary and how, exactly, the trio ended up roping him into a friendship. Felix was certain he’d never talked to another person so much in his life, but he rather enjoyed it. Having someone patiently listen to your life story with undying interest actually felt nice, and the few stories that Marinette shared with him were ones he knew he would remember fondly.
The two had fallen so deeply into conversation that they didn’t realize how quickly time was passing until Felix caught a glimpse of sunlight beginning to pour through the windows.
“Uh oh..” He muttered, setting his now-empty cup into the sink.
Marinette turned to the window as well, and she let out a soft gasp at the sight. “The sun’s coming up already? How did it get so late?”
“You mean ‘how did it get so early’.” Felix corrected.
She gave him a flat look, possibly the first one he’d ever received from her since they met. “Don’t start with me. It’s too ‘late’ for that.”
Felix smirked. “Fine, fine. We should probably get to bed though. Allegra wanted to scout out buildings for the Valentine’s party today.”
“Oh, that’s right, I forgot about that.. Do you think either of us will be able to function on two hours of sleep?”
“I’m honestly wondering whether we’ll be able to fall back asleep at all now.”
Marinette laughed. “That’s a good point. Maybe we can just lie down for a second and pretend to wake up. It’s early enough for that, right?”
“I thought you said it was late.” Felix said light-heartedly.
Marinette scoffed. “Late, early, whatever! Let’s just go upstairs and try to get some sleep.”
Felix chuckled. “After you.”
They made their way back out to the foyer, where the white floors and walls were now painted in golden rays of sunlight, and before Felix could even begin moving towards the stairs, Marinette gasped next to him and sprinted towards the other side of the mansion.
“Felix, look!”
Past the foyer and family room, through the wide, open windows, they could see the sun peeking over the horizon, shining in all its glory over the dewy grass and enormous mansions that lined the street.
Felix walked over to Marinette, who was already pressing her hands against the window with awe. Her eyes, round with amazement, sparkled under the sun’s light, and, as cliché as it sounded, the sight reminded Felix of an ocean on a warm summer’s day.
A smile crept across her lips, one that was far more blinding than the ball of fire in front of them. “It’s beautiful..”
Felix turned to the breathtaking scenery in front of them, but for some reason, all he could think about was the way the sun wrapped itself around the locks of Marinette’s raven hair like ribbons and how the freckles on her cheeks looked like twinkling stars when the morning light hit them just right. He somewhat wondered why that was, but as Marinette pushed herself back with a wistful sigh and muttered something about resuming their walk upstairs, Felix realized that he didn’t quite care. She was simply an enthralling person, one who he found himself wishing to be with more and more everyday.

Pity Party ~ Changbin [Request]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
↬↬↬ Word Count: 1.8K
↬↬↬Genre: Angst with a fluff ending
↬↬↬Pairing: Changbin x Fem!Reader
↬↬↬ A/N: Offt I know the feeling of this way too well so I just stopped throwing parties in the end
Tumblr media
The invitations were freshly printed and in your hands, as you walked into the dorms to see your boyfriend sitting with the rest of the boys in the lounge of their dorms, you began waving the invitations in the air.
"Look what I have." You giggled excitedly sitting down next to Changbin who automatically wrapped his arm around your shoulder and looked at what it was in your hands,
"A party? You never throw parties baby." He took the invitation that had his name on and inspected it while you thought about what he said. There was one main reason you never threw parties it was just because you were the quiet one of your friendship group, the girl that was quite reserved normally but this year you decided that since you never really celebrated that you wanted to.
"I thought it would be nice, I never normally do it so it's just a small change." Changbin smiled brightly and ticked yes that he would be coming along to the party then he handed the rest of the boys their invitation so they could accept it as well.
"We haven't been to your place yet so it'll be like a house warming party at the same time, shall I bring some cookies?" Felix seemed just as excited about this as you did but you shook your head at him promising him that you would have everything at the party.
"Just come along and it'll be fun." Changbin looked back at the invitation, it was just like you. Cute but not too showy, simple yet all at the same time brilliant.
"We'll be there babe," You leant down giving him a small kiss on the lips not caring hat the rest of the boys were in the room. Changnbin and you had been together for two years they were used to the skinship by now,
"I have to go, I promised Sooyoung I'd go cake tasting with her for the party." You kissed him again before getting up from his lap, you wished you could have stayed there all day instead but there was lots to do in preparation for your birthday next week and you wanted to get as much done before the date arrived while you still could.
On your way out of the dorms building, you posted the invitations into the mailbox smiling brightly at the thought of all your friends coming. For someone who was quiet and reserved you had a lot of friends, you were a lot like Chan in that case, you were a social butterfly that seemed to make friends with everyone you came into contact with.
Tumblr media
The house was decorated from top to bottom, including the downstairs bathroom since you wanted people to be able to find where they needed to go if they had to go. Music was blaring through the speakers as you walked around the house to make sure everything was in place for the party to start. Everyone you'd invited had agreed to come tonight so you were looking forward to it even though Changbin told you he was running a little late you didn't mind since it was his job and other people would be joining you soon. The jelly shots were laid out on a tray in the kitchen, drinking games were at the ready all you had to do was wait for people to show up and party.
Tumblr media
An agonizingly slow hour passed no one was there in your apartment, you were still sat on the sofa where you'd been waiting for someone to show up at the door. You thought that they'd start showing up sooner or later but as time passed you realised it wasn't happening so you took out your phone to see if anyone had text you to let you know what was happening but there were no new notifications. Changbin must have still been stuck at the studio so you didn't call him and ask when he was coming round, it would make you feel pathetic having just him there when you'd gone through all this effort to throw a huge party. You tried not to think badly at first, maybe they'd gotten the time wrong or something like there but there was a nagging in the back of your head.
Tumblr media
Another slow hour ticked by and you were still sitting on the sofa in the same position alone, music softly playing in the background as the food began to cold, you slid your phone out to check on social media and that was when you saw all of your friends at some new club that had opened up in town. All of them too intoxicated to care that they'd missed out on coming to see you on your birthday or call you to let you know something else had come up, you felt a stab in your chest as you realised they didn't care to be with you.
"Oh..." You whispered clicking through each of their stories to see them all having what looked like great fun, yelling, singing and dancing around the club that was somewhere in the middle of Seoul city centre. Feeling defeated you got up from the sofa and went into the kitchen to turn off the music and start cleaning up but as soon as you saw everything sitting there, wasted and ready for the bins you broke down into tears. It felt like not even a single person had cared to tell you they didn't want to come, they'd filled you with all the hope of them coming only to let you down...Not even that! Not even tell you that they weren't coming because they decided something better had come up. You should have known you were always the last choice, no one cared when it came to you it seemed. Tears began to well up in your eyes so you walked towards the bathroom slamming the door behind you, you needed to shower and get out of the party dress you'd gotten specifically for tat night but the zip was jammed.
"Fuck!" You yelled pulling at it roughly until it busts at the seams and you could step out of the ruined dress and got under the running water in the shower cubicle just sitting on the floor as you brought your knees into your chest to cry.
Midnight struck on the clock in the living room but you didn't feel like it was your birthday at all, you'd spent the last two hours packing up food into containers that you could eat for a while. The cake was sitting on the kitchen side and you debated throwing it onto the floor in a pitty party fit but you knew you'd be the one that had to clean it up.
"Fuck it," You opened the drawers up taking out a candle and lighter before placing it into the centre of the cake,
"Happy Birthday me," You whispered to yourself before blowing out the candle, tears began to well up again. You felt beyond pitiful about crying on your birthday but you felt disappointed after everyone had promised to come, including your boyfriend who still hadn't bothered to contact you about anything.
"Another year of age," You mumbled pushing the cake back onto the side and heading towards the stairs, you just wanted to crawl into bed and feel sorry for yourself a little while longer but the front door burst open and Changbin stood there panting,
"The party is here-" He stopped himself from yelling when he noticed you standing on the stairs in a pair of shorts and one of his shirts,
"Baby? Where is everyone?" He reached out to touch you but you recoiled away from him not wanting him to touch you,
"At some club in town," You mumbled turning away from him as he shut the door locking it behind him, he was trying to follow you up but you slammed the bedroom door behind you.
"Babe!" He called out while he knocked on the door begging for you to open it but you just crawled into the bed crying into your knees as you thought about how stupid you must have looked waiting for everyone to come by and see you.
"Baby come on! Me and the guys were busy that's why we didn't come, let me in...Please." You sobbed harder hearing him beg like that but right now you just wanted to be left alone to cry for a little while. You'd gotten so excited over something that wasn't worth it that no one even seemed to care about, not even your own boyfriend cared enough to let you know he was too busy to come along. You wouldn’t have been so upset if someone had just text you and told you, instead of leading you to believe your birthday was going to be fun.
Tumblr media
The next morning you woke up to the smell of burning and yelling in the kitchen,
"Jisung move your fat ass!" Changbin screamed you rubbed your arms as you walked into your small kitchen to see all of the guys standing around in aprons with birthday hats on their heads which made you feel even worse than last night.
"What's this?" You mumbled to Changbin who came over to greet you with a kiss,
"I thought we could have a birthday breakfast." Minho looked at you and from one look who knew you didn't want them there, he'd heard about last night from Changbin but there was nothing they could have done which you understood but it would have taken one call from one of them to let you know.
"I don't want your pity party Changbin," You groaned as he put a hat onto your head,
"Y/n-"
"No, Chan, don't Y/n me...You weren't here you didn't know what it felt like to be waiting up for everyone to show up only to have them plaster how happy they were everywhere else." Your voice cracked as you began to cry about the night before again you promised yourself not to do this but it hurt, Changbin wrapped his arms around you pulling you to cry in his chest while the other boys left your apartment. There was a crushing feeling in your chest as you continued to think about the previous night, having such high hopes all for it to come crashing down.
"I'm sorry babe, I just thought that if we could make it up to you, it would make you feel better." He cupped your face in his hands wiping the tears off your face as you whimpered a little.
"I just want to stuff my face and watch stupid movies," You mumbled to him looking at the breakfast that he'd been attempting to make but most of it was burnt,
"I have leftovers from last night." You mumbled taking two plates over to the tubs of food that were waiting for you to eat,
"You're going to get cake later as well." He promised you, kissing your lips softly as you walked past him to go back up to the bedroom.
"Where are you going? I didn't plate two plates of food for myself." You mumbled when you saw him attempting to leave through the front door,
"I thought you were upset with me,"
"I am but it doesn't mean I want to spend my birthday alone. Upstairs." You giggled softly not wanting to punish Changbin too much, you knew you couldn’t blame him forever. A small laugh left your throat as Changbin did a little dance before rushing up the stairs behind you

Quiet Game - Felix Drabble
Tumblr media
“Okay, for the next project, I should have the groups posted by the time this ends.” Your professor spoke as she stared at a separate screen to type something out. “And make sure you guys finish by the end of the week. It’s small so the time given should be more than enough.” She said as she read over whatever she wrote.
“Also make sure that you guys pick one person to write everything down and submit it in everyone’s name. That way it’ll be easier to grade.” She said as she looked back at her camera. “I’ll post it and then leave it to you guys. See you in the next class.” She waved before ending the call.
“God, I really hope that weird dude isn't in my group.” You groaned as you threw yourself back into your chair before spinning so you could face your boyfriend who was typing his essay on his bed.
“What makes him weird?” He spoke without looking up.
“He just, like.” You paused as you squinted. “Gives off the vibe, y’know?” You tried, your hand coming up to gesture vaguely. “Kinda like a teacher’s pet, but creepier?”
“If he’s in your group, I’ll do my work in the background so he knows I exist.” He smiled as he got up and placed his laptop down. “Here, we can check it together.”  He smiled as he leaned over you and took the mouse, moving it so he could click on the ‘Announcements’ tab.
“I don’t wanna look.” You pouted as he moved the mouse to click the ‘New Project Groups’ link.
“Well you have to, babe.” He laughed. “You might not even get him.” He reassured as he clicked on it and to your relief, the weird guy was not in the list.
“See, you had nothing to worry about.” He smiled as he pressed a kiss to your forehead. “Now go do your work, I’ll finish up my essay.” He laughed as he made his way back to his bed.
-
“Just so you guys know, I’m totally down to be the one that writes everything and submits it. Just send me your parts and I’ll do it all.” Your group partner, Youngjae spoke up as your group meeting came to an end.
“And if anyone needs help, I can definitely be that person.” Junkyu spoke up. “I have the best links if you feel like cheating.
“All I can offer is help on organizing things, but Youngjae already took that.” You laughed nervously.
“Well, we can work on it together?” Youngjae offered, both you and Felix looking up at the camera in confusion.
“I don’t think her boyfriend would like that.” Junkyu chuckled as he watched Felix’s reaction.
“It’s probably just her roommate.” Youngjae laughed. “Besides, she didn’t say no.”
“I actually have a random work schedule, so I can’t.” You said, trying to sound apologetic, but just feeling uneasy.
“Maybe request off once we finish things? That way we can get it all done in one day?”
“My manager isn’t cool like that. I’d have to ask in advance.” You shrugged.
“Or we could all meet up and get it done in one day?” Junkyu spoke up, probably sensing your sudden shift in mood. “And if you can’t make it, just send one of us your information so we can do it.”
“That works, than-”
“Babe, do you want anything to eat? I’m going out.” Felix cut you off as he placed his laptop aside and got up. The group's noise calming down as Felix was more in the shot.
“Uh, just a coffee, thanks.” You looked at him as he walked out of the room, your focus back on the screen.
“So,” Junkyu coughed. “Let’s work for the rest of the day and call tomorrow?”
“Sounds like a plan.” You smiled before hanging up.
-
“Why didn’t you say I was your boyfriend?” Felix spoke up as his eyes stayed on his screen.
“It’s none of his business, anyways.” You shrugged. “Besides, I won’t be talking to him after this week.”
“But he would’ve stopped trying to get you to go out with him if you had said something.”
“He was not trying to get me to go out-”
“Then why did it take the other one offering to join for him to stop asking?” His voice grew louder as he started typing aggressively before stopping in total.
“Babe,” You said softly. “I’ll say it next time, I promise.” You tried, not liking how quiet he’d gotten.
“You won’t need to.” He said as he smirked to himself.
“What do you mean?”
“Because you can make it up to me right now.” His smirk stayed as he looked at you.
“What are you talking about?” You furrowed your brows.
“Remember that remote control vibrator we bought?” His eyes traveled to the bag that sat in your closet. “Why don’t we try it out?”
You opened your mouth to respond but he was speaking about before you could say anything.
“Wear it during your next meeting.” He said. “If you can keep quiet, I’ll get over it. If you break, well, at least he’ll get the point.”
The thought sent a wave of nervousness but at the same time you weren’t entirely against it.
“I know we bought it for public reasons, but on the off chance that you do break, I don’t want him seeing you like that.” He licked his lips. “So what do you say?”
You felt the heat rise to your cheeks and you slowly nodded.
“Words, baby.” He chuckled.
“Yes.”
“Yes, what?”
“Yes, sir.”
“Good girl.” He smiled.
-
It wasn’t until you were sitting in front of your laptop with your skirt balled in your fists that the gravity of the situation fell on you.
You had to stay quiet.
“My poor baby.” Felix cooed as he rubbed your thigh, the action making you close them.
Of course that only resulted in him turning it up a few levels and you couldn’t help the choked moan that came out as your head fell onto your desk.
“If I want to play with you, I will.” He chuckled into your ear as he gripped your thigh. “Now open your legs.”
You did as he said and hid your face as his finger pushed on the toy, the sudden pressure making you whine.
“I wonder if you really can stay quiet.” He whispered as he sat back up, turning the setting back down before setting up his laptop so he could read over his essay. “Now go on, start your meeting.”
You reluctantly licked your lips as you saw the invite sitting there.
“Do I have to keep the camera on?” You asked shyly, your eyes looking up at him.
“Why? Scared to get caught?” He smiled, his fingers turning the setting up and watching as your face scrunched up. “I guess you can leave it off.” He licked his lips. “But you better watch that pretty mouth of yours.” He warned. “You let one noise slip and I might just fuck you with the camera on.”
The words didn’t process as you focused on the pleasure coursing through you, your mind focusing on the thought of Felix fucking you on camera.
“Hey, why’s your camera off?”
Your eyes shot open as you heard Youngjae’s voice shoot through your laptop, your eyes sending a pleading look for him to lighten up but he only set it one higher up, smirking the whole time.
“I-I’m cleaning.” You said, biting your lip as your legs closed from the intensity.
“I guess cute girls have their flaws, too.” He laughed before Junkyu told him to knock it off.
“Can we just,” You paused as you got lost in the feeling, Felix noticing and turning it off completely, a small sigh coming out. “Can we just get on with the assignment?”
The meeting went on but every word that was said never fully registered the more Felix messed with the controls, making sure you got closer and closer every time just to rip it away from you.
It wasn’t until he leaned over and pressed small kisses over your neck that you snapped.
“I’ll be right back, I have to do something.” You blurted out as you went to mute the mic.
“Please, I can’t do it anymore.” You whimpered, your hand coming up to grab his hair as he moved towards your jaw.
“You were doing so well, baby.” He teased, his hand coming up to grab your jaw and make you face him. “I wonder what he’d say if he saw us like this.” He spoke up, his voice raspy as his hand moved towards your throat.
“Felix, please,” You moaned out as he turned the device back on.
“Obviously words weren’t enough, he’d have to see just how much I own you.” He whispered, ignoring your comment.
“Fuck,” You whimpered as he turned up the setting while applying pressure to your throat, your eyes slightly rolling.
“All I’d have to do is turn your camera back on and unmute the mic.” He smirked as you whined. “Just tap out, baby.” He licked his lips before leaning in, his lips stopping right in front of yours.
“And I’ll give you everything you want.”

"Can you turn that music down, please?"
Ronnie tapped her shoulder softly, which surprised the young girl. Swiveling around and yanking a headphone out of her ear, she crinkled her eyebrows at the balding man. "Sorry?"
"Can you turn it down? It's so loud I can hear it," her manager stared at her with blank eyes, and she nodded gently. Pulling her left hand from the swamp of dishes and dirty water, she dried her hand on her apron, and clicking the volume button to a lower setting. "I get it, Winnie. It's not the greatest job in the world, and you wanna listen to music and your grumpy manager is being an ass," she let out a soft chuckle at his words.
"I'm sorry, Ron. I don't mean to be an ass, I'm just exhausted."
"It's alright, I get it. I worked like you did when I was your age, and I know how much it sucked. It was just better for me because I got paid double what you do," he smiled softly, clapping his hands together.
"Minimum wage is no laughing matter, Ronnie. I eat one-fifth of a lemon bar for lunch everyday," she eyed him fake angrily, and his eyes softened. "Really?"
"No, what the hell," she laughed, covering her mouth with her hand. "Usually it's a bagel or something,"
"Okay," he sighed softly, taking his cap off and running his hands through his hair. "If you wanna close up a bit earlier, I can come in at five instead of seven,"
Her hands halted as she scrubbed a plate, and she smiled gently. "No, it's okay," she finished washing the last dish, and set it on the drying rack. "You have Eliot now, and I'm sure Olivia isn't getting much sleep without you home during the night, so go home, and take care of your son,"
She melted at the thought of his newborn son, and how beautiful he is. She wasn't extremely good with children, but babies made her absolutely swoon. She also knew how hard newborns were to deal with, and having Ron not home to help probably made things hell for his wife, Olivia.
"You sure?"
One solid nod and a tired grin sent Ronnie on his way home, knowing he would recieve a full night's sleep. Despite the intense amount of work, she loved the diner. It was always warm, she always had at least one plate of food if she needed it, and Ronnie cut her a lot of slack.
She dried her hands off on her apron once more, and headed to the front of the restaurant near the island of stools. It was past midnight now, and occasionally there were some older customers who came in drunk, or just got off work. It seemed to be a quiet night, so she figured it wouldn't be too bad if she took a quick pee break.
On the other end of the diner were the restrooms, and she scrambled over there. Her footsteps and the dark shadows in the bathrooms often creeped her out, she went in, did her business, and left. Once she opened the door, she spotted two bewildered teenage boys at the front door, looking around with wide eyes.
"Hey, are you guys open? I saw it said twenty-four hours but—"
He had an Australian accent, and it made Willow purr on the inside. "Yes! Yes we are, I'm sorry," she sighed in embarassment, and rushed to the front of the diner. Her boots, which usually help her feet with the consistent standing, are now a nuisance as she stumbles across the floor.
"Oh no worries, we know it's kind of late,"
As Willow stumbled next to the boy, who she now saw another boy standing next to him with red cheeks. His accent was beautiful, she thought. He was also inhumanely good looking. The one who'd spoken to her had darker brown hair, on the wavier side. He had a larger nose, and his lips were quite full. He was beautiful.
The other one stood silent, and Willow smiled and held menus. "Booth or do you wanna sit at the island?"
"Uh, booth please," the brunette spoke up once more, and she silently led them to a booth that was clean and somewhat in the middle of the restaurant. Gentle background music filled the silence, and all that was heard was soft scuffling as the two boys followed the only girl working.
She sat them down, and the other blonde boy smiled sheepishly. "Here are your menus, can I get you something to drink first?"
"Can I get a coke, please?"
That time, it was the boy who'd she never heard speak. His voice was deeper, almost curiously soft.  The brunette spoke once more, "Do you have tea?"
"Of course, sir. Unsweetened or sweetened?"
"Oh, sweetened please," he nodded thoughtfully, smiling. "I will be right back with your drinks, take a look over the menu and you can let me know what you want at your earliest convenience," Willow smiled genuinely, and she bowed slightly. She didn't even mean to, she just felt odd alone, at midnight, with two teenage boys in her diner.
"She called you sir, Chan," the blonde boy whispered to the one opposite him, this Chan character. "She's really nice, we have to leave a good tip," Chan responded, and that's all Willow managed to hear before she started making their drinks.
The next hour or so dragged on, with Chan, Willow, and the other figure, whom she'd learn is Felix, and her coming back and forth to collect orders, serve seconds, cook said seconds, and giving refills. Each time, Chan would apologize for inconveniencing her as if it wasn't her job, and she would smile softly. She could tell that he would never be rude to fast food workers or people just intending to do their job.
Usually, there would be a chef, or at least someone who can cook, and at least one other person working. The past few weeks had been Willow mostly by herself, picking up extra shifts, and as long as it wasn't busy, she could manage cooking and waittressing. She got paid double time, and she picked up overtime on days where Ron did not want to come in early. He also didn't want to burden Helena, one of his other over-nighters, who'd just gotten back on her feet after a house fire.
She wasn't a bad cook, and she was quick on her feet. She could hold down her own, and Ronnie knew that. Hence he trusted her with his entire diner, on most nights, and to hold the fort down. She would now easily bring home paychecks over a grand, with taxes taken out every week. As her two very cute customers continued eating their seconds, she scribbled messily on her notepad on the counter.
She stood on the inside of the island counter, and was counting expenses. She had a lot of shit to worry about, bills included. Gas, electric, dog food, groceries. She could take maybe three hundred dollars off her bill fund thanks to her mother, but it still didn't help in the scheme of things.
Frustrated, she scribbled out her list. She had to worry about this later, there was no need to worry before she got her paycheck. Her eyes felt heavy, and she tried to rub the sleepiness from them. She had at least five more hours before she could even think about leaving, and she still had to clean this place from top to bottom.
"Do you think we could get the check, please?"
Chan's timid voice broke her from her daze, and her face reddened in embarassment. She had forgotten they were here. Setting her pen down hastily, she shuffled over to grab the printed out receipt, and held it tightly.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to zone off like that," she set the check down, and took notice of their neatly stacked plates with silverware crossed on top. Her cleanup would be very easy, and she absolutely loved when she had customers like this. "Oh, no worries," Chan smiled and eyed the check. "Is it okay if I take these?"
Pointing towards the stack of plates, the other boy, Felix, quickly grabbed them and handed them to her. Underneath the plates, their fingers touched briefly. A sheepish smile followed from both, and she quickly scurried to put the plates in the dishwasher. All she had to do was get them checked out, clean the three plates, clean the milkshake cups, the soda cups, and sweep. Some general maintenance, and if nobody else came in, she was in for a decent night.
"Hey, you didn't charge us for the milkshakes," Chan mentioned softly, slight accusatory tone. "They're on the house," Willow smiled back from the bar island, and Chan cocked his head in confusion, "if that's okay,"
"That's really kind, thank you," once again, a gentle, dimple-filled smile from Chan, and a sheepish, red-cheeked one from Felix. She wished to hear the blonde boy speak again, his voice so rich, so deep. He seemed sweet.
Her first thought was that they were boyfriends. It angered her, but only in a way that two of the cutest guys she'd possibly ever seen were together. It was adorable, to say the least. Little did she know, they were definitely not together.
Willow came to collect the money, and Felix stared up at her. "Are you from around here?"
Her eyes widened, and her mind went blank. That was usually how someone asked if she would be missed had she been kidnapped. "That sounded really creepy, I'm sorry," he clarified, and she loosened her shoulders a bit, "We are new to town, and we don't know where Glarien Avenue is. We just moved in, and can't find our way back. The GPS says the street doesn't exist," he finished quickly, and she nodded gently, deciding on whether or not to tell him.
"Oh, uh," she bit her lip, "the street got a new sign on accident, and the GPS or whatever national database that programs the information never got updated, I guess. If you pull out of here, take a left and go forward like three-ish blocks. There's gonna be a bright yellow house, and once you see that turn right, and then take a sharp right again and if you just keep going down you should see Glarien. If you get lost, just come back,"
It took only five minutes for the two Australian boys to clear out, and for Willow to finally take a breath. As she took care of all of the dishes, she went for the check last. Their total was somewhat cheap, twenty-three dollars, for two full meals, two sodas, a sweet tea, and extra sides of fries.
As she counted out the money, she was thoroughly confused. There were two twenties, and two fives. There was fifty dollars here, and their meal was less than thirty. On the check was a small note.
Really good food, really good service. We hope you have an amazing night, and whatever is left after our tab is paid is yours. Thank you!
An exasperated sigh left her mouth, and she sat in the booth where the two boys sat. Staring at the money in front of her, her chest felt heavy. All of her emotions poured out, and the thought that a strangers kindness' brought her to tears was shameful yet elating. That would be three less hours she would have to work, three more hours of sleep, or soccer practice, or studying. More time to not stress over bills.
She sat there for a few minutes, breathing in and out, as deep as she could. Wiping her face of any tear remnants, she stood up, collecting the money in hand. As she eyed the clock, she sighed inwardly. It was only 2 AM.
Tumblr media
A little less than five hours later, she was walking into the doors of LaPrine High School, with at least two hundred other students. For seven in the morning, teenagers were pretty damn annoying. Squeals and loud murmurs was everything that she could hear, and it made her turn her headphones up louder.
For a private school full of snobby inbreds, there were some okay kids there. Most of them were the scholarship kids, who'd had their fares paid for, like Willow. If someone found out that you were a scholar student, you'd immediately be laughed at and taunted. She managed to keep hers a secret, though. She excelled, and she made sure to throw in an occasional snicker when needed to prove she was just one among the bunch.
She wasn't popular by any means, but everyone knew her. She was a suck up, that was for sure. Every teacher liked her, her grades were impeccable, and she was an all-star soccer player. She managed to have better stats than Ian Rewns, the past all star soccer legend, and he wasn't even a midfielder.
She also was known to stay pretty quiet, and to herself socially. She had a few casual friends, some classmates she talked to, but nobody really close. She was okay with that, she was pretty busy anyways. She had school from eight in the morning to three, then soccer practice from four to six-thirty, and if there wasn't a game, she'd go home around seven, and at eleven she would go work the graveyard shift at the diner. On average, she'd get four to five hours of sleep. Friends, or a social life, just take away from that time.
As she stopped at her locker to pull out her textbooks, she felt a tap on her shoulder. "Ms. Arroyo," it was her principal, Mrs. Samson. "Can you come with me, please?"
It was only two weeks into the school year, so there wasn't much she could get in trouble for. Maybe it was to rearrange her classes? No, every class she had was only alotted for that specific hour, there was no way. Her tuition? God, she hoped not.
"How are your classes so far?" as they rounded the office hallway, Mrs. Samson was making casual conversation. The clicking of her heels intimidated Willow a bit, but she'd known her for over a year. She wasn't as scary as everyone made her out to be. "They're good, I just finally settled in,"
"I know this year seems like it may be hard, but by the looks of your GPA next year, I think you'll be satisfied with it." Praise made Willow purr like a kitten, and her entire body tingled at the realization that this probably wasn't bad.
"Me too," she replied softly, and Mrs. Samson held the door to her office open for her, and they stepped in. Her office was tidy, shades of light blue and gray, and was a little too cold for Willow's liking. "Come and take a seat, hun,"
Unsure still, she took a seat. Her back didn't touch the seat, her anxiety from not knowing why she was there overtaking her comfortability. "You're not in trouble, don't worry," the older woman smiled at her as she took her own seat opposite her desk.
"So, I know you are a busy girl," she looked at her with eyes of compassion, and a soft smile decorated her face. "I have a proposition for you," she continued.
"Do you happen to remember when you did student tours for the incoming freshman?" Her first year at LaPrine, she was allowed to do student tours as community service hours for NHS. She was actually so good at it, and the organization of it, that she got to do it again this summer, and handled it all by herself without any staff. It was pulled off effortlessly.
"Of course, this year too," Willow nodded in agreement, and she waited for the woman to continue. "Well, if you agree to help me for a while this year, I will make sure all of your community hours are taken care of, and anything else you need help with will be considered done,"
Willow wanted her to get to the point.
"What is it?"
"Remember on your National Honor Society resume, you said you're bilingual and speak more than just English? You weren't lying, right?"
Willow laughed so hard she nearly bust a lung, and quickly covered her mouth with her hand. "Mrs. Samson, my last name is Arroyo. But of course, I can speak more than just Spanish, though,"
"You listed Korean, correct?" she eyed a piece of paper, which was most likely her aforementioned resume.
"Yeah, I can speak it somewhat fluently, and I can read Hangul well, I sometimes have trouble writing it, though. I don't imagine I'll be writing Korean letters, will I?" Willow's Hangul was absolutely preposterous, any native Korean would agree.
"No, that's silly," The elder crossed her hands together, and leaned forward. "Starting tomorrow, we have eight foreign exchange students coming from Korea, and you are an exemplar student who also happens to speak said language. One is a native English speaker, and two others speak it fluently. The rest can manage only a conversation or two, so you can understand our worry. I'm sure it would be nice for them to have a friend as well,"
"For the rest of the year?"
"Yes, but I'm sure that they'll manage to speak more fluently as the year progresses," and Willow shook her head, "I'm not worried about the language, I just don't know how that would work,"
"How so?"
"Well, are they all girls? Are they boys? Is it a mix? And won't their classes be much different than mine?"
"They're all boys, ranging from sophomore to seniors, and they're super sweet. Very respectful boys, from what I hear. I promise you, I will make it worth it if you help me out, and at least be a friend and reliable student to these boys. And no, they will not all have the same classes as you, but it will probably be courses you have taken, save for the seniors."
"I will also put in a good word for you to Mr. Ramirez, and how that head position on the team should be an exemplar student and player," she mentioned the soccer coach, and Willow cringed inwardly. She hadn't spoke Korean, in full length sentences, in over a year. She could remember it, but she'd be rusty.
"Okay, but you owe me one. No, more like eight; you owe me eight, Mrs. Samson."
"Deal. Come in tomorrow early if you can, and you can give them the tour. I will be here as well, so if you want to meet me in the cafeteria, I will bring you coffee."
"I like my coffees with extra creamer and sugar."
"Done."

on track + seo changbin
hello lovelies! 。◕‿◕。 this is for anon who requested for a racer!changbin scenario. i hope you like it!
REQUEST BOX IS STILL OPEN. KEEP STREAMING  AND VOTING STAYS. LET’S GIVE THE BOYS THEIR WELL-DESERVED WIN.
Tumblr media
"Hyung, can you stop pacing back and forth?" Hyunjin whined as he threaded a hand through his golden locks. "I'm getting cross-eyed," the younger added, finally opting to stand up and hold the older male by his shoulders, steadying him for a second and sitting him down on the couch. "What if she can't make it?" Changbin faltered as he sat down, hands fiddling with each other as he needed something to occupy his senses.
Today was Changbin's race, one more win and SKZ was on their way to the finals, with Chan next in line to compete and finish off the tournament, that is, if Changbin wins today. He felt the pressure for his group as he first handedly witnessed the boys' struggles and hardships before making a name for themselves within the racing industry. Chan and Minho started off as a duo, but later on discovered the rest of the team through months of scouting within tournaments. Changbin has been training for months for this opportunity and you had been there since day one -- cheering them on in the background, providing connections, and witnessing their moments of triumph and uncertainty.
Although everybody claims that Changbin is one of the team's strongest player, he still needed to be reminded of that fact from time to time. He was scared, more than he would ever admit, but when faced with consoling glances, he'd just shrug it off and act smug about it, but you knew Changbin has his own battles.
"Bin, you have to get ready," Chan said, tapping the younger lad's right knee in the process. "Race starts in an hour and we need to double check everything before you go on track," he urged. The race was about to start and he could hear the commentators voice booming over the speakers, calling on the teams to assemble and do last minute checks, but Changbin resisted Chan's order, he didn't want to go down to their shed unless he saw you first. Chan shot Hyunjin a confused look and the younger mouthed your name in response, Chan nodded in understanding. "Alright, I'll head down first," he offered.
A few minutes later, Jisung and Felix's cheers jolted Changbin from his seat as they entered the room with you. Hyunjin took this as a cue to stand from his seat and join the other two in order to give you two some needed privacy.
"Where's my champion?" you announced as you scanned the room for Changbin. The said man broke into a sweet smile, a relieved sigh escaping his lips as he took in your presence. "You made it!" He cheered, hurriedly walking towards you with his arms wide open. As you neared him, you wrapped your arms around him and planted a kiss on his forehead. "Hi, baby," you gushed, tightening your hold on him. Changbin pulled away first, revealing the troubled expression that masked his sharp features, "I was starting to get worried."
You were staggered at his response, "Aw, baby. I'm always going to be here, you hear me?"
As if on cue, Changbin's lips formed a small smile as he heard your voice -- laced with nothing, but love and comfort. "I know, but this is the first time that we were given an opportunity to participate in the finals," he explained as he dropped his hands to intertwine his fingers with yours. "You guys earned it after all you've been through and I know for sure, that your name will be written as the victor a few hours from now," you reassured which earned you a kiss from him. "I love you, (y/n). I know I haven't been the best boyfriend lately but-," you shushed him, shooting him a playful glare as he attempted to insist and continue.
"No," you shook your head. "You're the best boyfriend and I appreciate everything that you do. Nobody can convince me otherwise, not even you, mister," you added. Changbin sighed in defeat, "How did I get so lucky?"
You lifted your shoulders in a half shrug. "I must've saved the country in my past life," you joked to which Changbin responded with a hearty laugh. "There you go," you paused, noting his now relaxed demeanour, "You have nothing to be worried about," you continued. He nodded and as he was about to lean in, a knock interrupted his advances.
Minho appeared from the doorway. "Time's up, lovebirds," he announced, "Chan-hyung wants you in the station now," he said as his gaze landed on Changbin.  "Got it, hyung," the younger male nodded, giving you a quick kiss before pulling away from your hold and grabbing his gear. "I'll see you out there, champion," you said as you bid Changbin goodbye.
Soon after, gunshots were fired, which signalled the start of the race. The cars' engine roared to life as the contestants continuously drove laps, each of them eager  to grab a winning slot which would allow them to advance into the finals. You fiddled in your seat as you witnessed Chan with the other boys moving in a hurried pace -- their muscles tensed and their facial expressions tinted with a slight hint of nervousness. It was the last lap and Changbin was leading but their biggest rival, GT7, was not too far behind, they were merely seconds away from Changbin's time.
"You can do this boys," you muttered as you bit your lip, a mannerism you adopted whenever you were feeling nervous or anxious.
You watched in fear as the cars neared the last lap.
S. Changbin [SKZ] - 3.28.43 W. Jackson [GT7] - 3.29.12 C. San [ATZ] - 3.31.10
"And there you have it ladies and gentlemen, SKZ's Changbin leads the race with GT7's Jackson and ATZ's San in second and third place, respectively. Congratulations to all participants!" the announcer concluded which earned loud cheers and applauses from the audience, including yourself.
You made your way towards the field, a smile plastered on your face.
"(Y/n)!" the boys called out for you as you approached them. Soon, you were engulfed in a group hug. "I'm so proud of you guys!" you exclaimed. Praises and words of thanks were exchanged, but you guys were interrupted by SKZ's manager calling for Chan and Changbin. "The press wants a word with the two of you."
The two men nodded and followed the elder. It was a routine during tournaments, the press would interview the victors in hopes of getting a story, asking them how they felt at the moment and plans for their team's next move. You watched in awe as Changbin stood there, a gold medal around his neck and Chan's arm around his shoulder with a proud smile.
"I'd never get to where I am today without this man beside me and my team," Changbin answered, gesturing towards where you and the other members stood. "Now, let's be honest. Not only are agencies lining up to make you take their offers, I'm sure the ladies are also taking an interest towards you guys, considering the number spectators today," the reporter noted as she pointed towards the audience, which earned her loud cheers from the crowd that mostly consisted of girls around the guys' age.
Chan chuckled, shooting a wink towards a group of girls, who screamed even louder. "We appreciate the love and support," he answered, unbothered by the ruckus he caused just a few seconds ago. "However, this guy right there is off the market," Chan teasingly nudged Changbin to which the younger lad smirked in response.
"Oh, and who is this lucky lady?" the reporter asked as she scanned the field, finally landing her eyes on you as the boys behind you cheered and hollered. "If anybody gets to be called lucky, that's me. I'm the one who's lucky to have someone as lovely and patient as her. She's been with us since day one," Changbin expressed, voice laced with affection as he shot you a wink.
A few minutes later, the boys concluded their interview and bid the reporter goodbye.
Changbin and Chan sauntered towards your group, politely bowing to the people that congratulated them on their way. "We'll be in the waiting room," Minho announced, gathering the other members, leaving you and Changbin alone.
"Congratulations, baby," you beamed at Changbin, who only pulled you in his embrace as a response. "I'm so proud of you," you added, rubbing his back in attempt to relax his tensed stature. "Thank you, (y/n)," he whispered, snuggling his face into your neck, making you giggle. "Alright, save it for tonight," you blushed as you pulled away and led him towards the waiting room.
"But what about my congratulatory kiss?' he whined.
"I'll give it to you later, I don't want to create a scene in front of your new admirers," you chuckled, referring to the comment that the reporter made a while ago.
"But, baby."
"Keep walking, Changbin."

“Spill it, sister.” The way Hyunjin crossed his arms and tapped his foot impatiently reminded you of your mother when you were in high school, waiting for a confession after sneaking out to a party the night before with the guys.
Suddenly, the ramen hanging out of your mouth that linked to your chopsticks seemed one hundred times more interesting than looking at Jinnie. He was good at seeing through your lies but mostly because you were such a bad liar.
When your only response was a shrug, he let out an exaggerated sigh. “You’ve been acting sus for days now.”
“How?” You asked, still avoiding his gaze, sipping on your straw.
“Well, for starters, you’ve stopped pestering us about what happened at the party.” He eyed you up and down. “Did you remember?”
“Just that we watched a hot ass morning sex video.” You said wiggling your eyebrows. “Really, there’s nothing going on.”
That was a lie.
The only thing that was running through your mind most of the time these days was Changbin. Since that night you went to see him you couldn’t stop thinking about his touch. His skin. His lips. The way he tasted. Changbin got your number from Chan, but you were avoiding him. He wasn’t one to chase or push either, so when you didn’t reply to his first message he didn’t send another.
Chan already interrogated you about the night he walked in on you blowing Changbin, and asked why you haven’t talked to him. You could only assume Changbin told Chan you were ghosting him, and Chan knowing you like the back of his hand decided to mediate. You were grateful, because he never judged you for being an asshole or ghosting people. You were always like this and you had been told by many people that you were “too much”, but not Chan. That’s what made you love him and run to him. Even when you didn’t run to him because you were too self-conscious and didn’t want to annoy him, he’d go to you. Talking with Chan helped you realize you didn’t know anything at all and that it would all be okay regardless.
“You know what your problem is, (Y/N)?” Chan started two weeks after you went to see Changbin at his apartment.
“No, but I’m sure you’re going to tell me.” You were laying upside down on your couch, feet hanging over the backrest next to Chan who was sitting upright typing away on his laptop.
“You avoid thinking about your feelings. Instead of trying to face them head on and figure them out, you just run away.”
Ouch. The truth of his words stung.
“Just slap me next time will ya?” He rolled his eyes at your remark.
“I’m serious.” He closed his laptop placing it on the coffee table before giving you his full attention taking your hand in his as if you were a child. “Look, you know I love you. I care about you and I want to see you happy. That’s why we need to figure this out together. Tell me, when you look at Changbin, what do you feel?”
That was a tough question to answer. “Do I really have to think about that?” You whined.
“Yes.” He said sternly in his dad voice. “We’re going to figure this out together because if not you’re just going to continue this vicious cycle forever and I won’t stand by it.”
Sighing, you closed your eyes trying to find something, anything that you could put into words.
The image of seeing Changbin for the first in over a year at Seungmin’s house party at the start of summer came rushing back. You were sitting at the bar table in the wide living room of Seungmin’s mansion in a champagne slip dress and red lips talking your half tipsy ass off with your girl friend when she gasped at a hot guy who walked in. The place was overflowing with bodies, the heat made your skin slightly damp and the music was loud. There was a mixture of cigarette smoke and the smell of booze flowing in the air, basically it smelled like a good time.
“Who’s that hottie coming in with Felix?” She had asked shouting over the DJ and pointing at the door with her free hand, drink in the other.
Your heart had stopped and the smile you had plastered on your face slowly faded as you saw Changbin walk in, leather jacket, hood up, hat covering his features, but you knew it was him. He was scanning the crowed, high-fiving and bro hugging Seungmin and Minho as they found him. Minho had turned to find you amongst the crowd and nodded your way, Changbin found you but turned away. He never went up to you that night and you didn’t either.
“I feel sad.” You admitted, voice only slightly above a whisper.
“That’s good, (Y/N). That’s a good place to start.”
[three days later]
“Another party?”
Everyone was gathered around in your apartment eating your food and playing video games.
“Yeah, my parents are going overseas again so it’s the perfect time. I think we all could use a good old fashion house party.” Seungmin, respectable Virgo though he may be, was notorious for his house parties. He always had the best DJ’s, the best drinks and most importantly a big house.
“God knows we need to let loose, especially (Y/N).” Felix smirked over at you wiggling his eyebrows, blocking the pillow you threw at him.
“Besides, it’ll be funner this time since Changbin is back and we’ve been hanging out.” The room went quiet at Jeongin’s comment, just the video game sounding in the background “Oh… was I not suppose to say that?”
“Just focus on your game the grown ups are talking.” Hyunjin hushed the younger boy. “Everything is set to go we just need to go shopping.”
“We?” Everything sounded amazing except parties meant socializing, dressing up and being in public. You had a love hate relationship with parties, about as much as you had a love hate relationship with everything else in life.
[]
The weekend came faster than you could have hoped for and that mean the party did too. All you could think about was how you planned to avoid Changbin, though it shouldn’t be too hard in a house that big. You did it once before. The truth was, maybe you were scared to genuinely fall for him, just as he had said he was afraid of falling of falling for you. The only thing you knew how to do when you were unsure of anything was to run away.
Chan was right and you knew it. Your flight instinct was all you were good at but even you knew it would be your downfall eventually.
“Wear this. From your bestest friend in the whole wide world – Jinnie”
Hyunjin stopped by while you were in the shower and shouted a quick goodbye, reminding you to not be “late” to the party before rushing back out in less than a minute. You pulled your towel closer to your cold body before opening the top of the box and pulling out a really short, strappy, silk red slip dress.
“Does he want me to die of hypothermia?” you mumbled to yourself before doing your hair and make up. All the while constantly checking your phone to keep tabs on Chan’s eta. The best you could do was curl your hair and do some basic face makeup since you loved striking more with red lips rather than heavy eyes. Since the party had a rave vibe you opted for a way heavier highlight than normal and sprinkled a bit of body glitter along your collarbones and shoulders.
“(Y/N), I’m here !” Chan’s voice rang out as you heard him shuffling from the entrance to your room.
“Are you rea– damn girl, who are you?” He stopped dead in his tracks taking you in from head to toe.
“Fuck, this is too slutty right?” You turned from your long mirror to face Chan. The dress fit you well enough, but it was so short and low cut you thought your boobs would fall out at one wrong move, not that you had much to begin with, but this dress sure made it seem like you had a decent amount of cleavage. “Shit, I need to find something else to wear. I swear Hyunjin just wants to make me look like–”
“No! Don’t you dare, you look amazing, you are totally wearing that tonight. Just take a good coat so you don’t get sick.” Just like Chan to nag, you couldn’t help but laugh at his comment.
By the time you both made it to the party it was close to 10pm, definitely late. The taxi left you at the gate at the bottom of a small hill. Making your way up you were grateful you opted for a pair of black boots instead of heels. There were a lot of people making their way up to the house and people spilling out of the house as you got closer. The bass could be heard since you stepped out of the taxi and the closer you got the sounds of chatter, heavy laughter and shouting got louder. Crowds made you nervous but holding on to Chan’s arm made you feel better. After a few drinks you wouldn’t be as nervous or anxious. Alcohol had a way of numbing just about anything.
Stepping into the house the heat of bodies welcomed you, almost immediately encouraging you to take off your coat before handing it to Chan who in turn put it, along with his in the hallway closet. You were familiar enough with Seungmin’s house to be able to use certain areas of his place that would otherwise be deemed unappropriated for others.
“Welcome, welcome friends.” Seungmin said greeting you and Chan with a hug. Hyunjin and Felix followed close behind.
“Wow, (Y/N) that dress looks so much better than I imagined!” Hyunjin didn’t trust your sense of taste when it came to party or club attire so he had the habit of picking things up for you ever since you all started partying and clubbing together junior and senior year of high school.
Felix handed you a drink with a sympathetic look, maybe your nervous were louder on your face than you realized. You looked around the crowd trying to see if you could spot Changbin’s figure but by the looks of it he wasn’t here. Even though you were avoiding him, your heart still sank a little.
Get it together, you scolded yourself.
Before you knew it you found yourself on the dance floor passing between Hyunjin, Felix and a couple of strangers. Drinks and shots started to blur as your nervous melted and you started to feel slightly dizzy at the heat and bass filling your chest. The black lights made everything neon and colorful, there were even bubble machines that left residue of shimmer on everyone’s hair, face and body as they burst.
“Whoa– whoa!” Hyunjin shouted as you grinded your ass on a guy, making you laugh and push the stranger away before turning back to Hyunjin, throwing your arms around his neck and his hanging lazily on your hips. Felix had gone off somewhere, probably the bathroom. “Do you think Changbin will show up?”
You shrugged, not wanting to ruin the fun you were having. “Who knows.”
Eventually, you found yourself alone on the dance floor still as Hyunjin went to look for Felix, probably to do other things with him.
The vibrations of the song were filling you when you felt a pair of hands grab your waist letting you know someone was there, but you couldn’t see who since they were behind you. You let your body lean back into the stranger swaying to the song coming out of the loud speakers. He felt strong and warm though he reeked of weed which immediately turned you off, but you didn’t leave him enjoying his body instead.
“Let’s grab a drink.” The stranger said, grabbing your wrist and leading you off the dance floor, weaving you through the crowd. He wasn’t half bad looking, though, the thought came to you like second nature... but he wasn’t Changbin.
You leaned against the bar, letting the coolness of the marble run up the length of your arms, without thinking you placed your forehead down the bar top to cool off a bit. It felt good against your hot skin and the heat of the room.
“Here you go.” The stranger said handing you the drink with a cocky smile.
You thanked him raising the drink to your lips. He had a dark glint in his eyes that made you hesitate. “Fuck!” You shouted as someone grabbed the wrist you were holding your drink with, jerking it away.
“What the fuck did you put in this?” It was Changbin. You froze as he grabbed the glass out of your hand, still holding onto you. He shoved the glass in the guys face, “Drink it.”
“No way, I got that for her.” He said disgust in his voice, knocking the glass out of Changbin’s hand. It shattered on the floor, but you hardly heard a thing over the loud music that was playing. “What? Is she your bitch?”
“She’s not a bitch and what she is to me is none of your fucking business.” Changbin got between you and the guy, shoving his chest.
Fuck, this was not good. You desperately looked around for Chan or Jisung, anyone that could stop Changbin better than you could. You’d seen him in enough fights to know this wouldn’t end well. Of all the good qualities Changbin had, holding back was not one of them.
“What the fuck man, I was just trying to have a little fun.” The guy shoved Changbin back, though it didn’t have much effect since Changbin had a pretty solid build.
“’A little fun’ by what? By spiking a girls drink? You must be one desperate piece of shit if you can’t get a single girl to sleep with you of their own free will.” Changbin’s words made you go cold.
Did he spike your drink when you weren’t looking?
“No, it’s just funner when their helpless.” The guy retorted.
You could feel the rage boil up in Changbin and spill over seconds before he threw his fist connecting it with the guy’s jaw, sending him stumbling into a crowd. The guy couldn’t recover before Changbin grabbed him by the collar throwing him on the ground and shoving a knee into his chest hitting him again and again.
“You low life piece of shit, I hope you rot in hell.” He said between every punch.
Fuck, fuck, fuck where the hell was everyone when you needed them?! You desperately wanted Changbin to stop fighting. The fact that they had garnered a crowd of on lookers but no one was stepping in annoyed you.
“Changbin, stop!” You pleaded but when he didn’t respond you grabbed his arm just as he was bracing to throw it again, “Please, stop!”
Changbin tensed as he turned to face you, his eyes were scary.. on fire with rage. Your eyes must have been desperate because you could feel his anger slowly start to dissipate. For a moment it was as if everything went quiet and all you could hear was your breathing and heartbeat pounding in your ears.
The stranger seized the moment and opening to escape from under Changbin’s hold and book it into the crowd shoving a few people out of the way.
“Fuck.” Changbin mumbled watching the guy run off, running a hand through his hair in frustration.
He helped you to your feet before taking you by the hand and leading you around the bar and up the grand stairwell. His pace was a little faster than what you normally walked and with the alcohol running rampant in your veins you stumbled and struggled to keep up with him, but he didn’t seem to notice. He was gripping your hand so tight you knew even if you tripped enough to fall, he would catch you.
The hallway lead off to various rooms and people were piling around room entrances and playing various games from drinking games to board games. The bass still sounded throughout the house, but you could hear a little more clearly from up here.
“Get the fuck out,” Changbin pulled you into Seungmin’s room where two people were making out on his couch. “Now.” He ordered.
The couple glanced at each other but did as they were told, which was good on their part. Changbin was scary when he was mad. You were dreading whatever was about to happen because he pulled you away from the crowd probably to scold you for almost getting yourself drugged.
The couple left closing the door behind them leaving you in a dim lit room with Changbin angrily pacing back and forth.
“You are so reckless!” Changbin’s voice made you flinch. You know he didn’t mean to, but he still needed to learn how to control his anger. “Why would you take a drink from someone you don’t know?”
All you could do was wrap your arms around yourself and avoid Changbin’s eyes. You felt like you could melt under his gaze, or burn.
“There are bad guys out there, (Y/N), just waiting for you to let your guard down enough so they can take advantage of you.” He was saying it with good intentions but that still didn’t make you any less angry about it.
“So, what the hell am I suppose to do then? Just not go out? Not drink or have any fun?” Your argument was weak but you hated being pushed around. Especially by Seo Changbin.
“That’s not the point, (Y/N) and you know it.” He stopped pacing taking an abrupt step towards you, your back hit the wall. He took another step cornering you in.
From this close you could smell his cologne, warm and musky. His chest was rising higher than normal, his anger still evident in his eyes and the way he set his jaw. Damn he looks so hot... wait shut up this is not the right time, you tried shaking the thought away but Changbin hit the wall next to your head making you jump.
“Look at me.” His voice was strained.
“Make me.” You challenged, the words leaving your lips before you could filter them out as this is a really bad idea, don’t say that.
He grabbed your jaw fingers digging into your cheeks forcing you to meet his gaze. It annoyed you how much that turned you on, you squeezed your eyes shut trying to control your lust.
“Do you like it when I get rough with you, is that it?” Changbin squeezed a little tighter until you opened your eyes meeting his. Fuck, was all you could think.
“Maybe.” You replied raising an eyebrow. “Maybe I just want to see you go insane.”
His dark laugh made you tremble.
“You know what drives me insane?” He sneered, “The fact that we had one decent, open conversation and then you ghost me like a fucking stranger you met off Tinder.”
To be fair, you knew it was coming. You shoved him off, crossing the room before slumping down on the couch, kicking your boots off and crossing one leg over the other so you wouldn’t flash him by accident.
He watched you from across the room as you noticeably gathered your thoughts before starting, “I.. I didn’t mean to do that.”
Changbin threw his head back in disbelief laughing before angrily asking if you were serious. You didn’t reply which seemed to only set him off even more. He crossed the large room in three strides before sitting down on the coffee table right in front of you leaning forward, elbows on his knees, face resting in his hands; but you didn’t flinch or shrink away this time.
“Then why did you do that to me?” His voice was lower now, his eyes were closed as if he was struggling just to say those words. As if he was trying to hid the hurt that was laced in that question.
“Because I wanted you to feel the same hurt that I felt when you abandoned me.” The words stumbled out of your mouth again before you could stop them.
You both froze.
It’s not something you consciously had thought out, but as soon as you said it you realized that was it. That was the real reason you were avoiding him, you wanted to get back at him. You wanted him to feel the same pain and loneliness you did when he left. Of what could have been but wasn’t.
“That’s fair.” Changbin concluded before straightening his back. “I don’t blame you.”
You sized him up trying to find any trace that he was lying, but he seemed a little more relaxed now. His shoulders were slack, his breathing was normal, eyes serious.
“Really?”
He nodded. “There is one thing though.” He said placing his hand on your knee before pushing it off your other leg. “I haven’t repaid you for that one time at the apartment.”
Your eyes widened as he pushed your legs apart. “Wh–what are you doing?”
He smirked at your sudden shyness. “I told you. Paying you back.”
“No, no it’s okay, I swear, just don’t mention it.” You clumsily shot up before stepping a safe distance away suddenly cursing yourself for being barefoot.
He laughed with his whole chest before standing up straight. “Come on, you were not this shy sucking me off.”
Your cheeks were burning, you were positive your face was the same color as your dress. Changbin made his way over to you, pushing your hair back behind your shoulder. The closeness of his body, the way his eyes made trails down your neck and collarbones made you tremble again, you tried crossing your arms to keep yourself still.
He noticed you shaking.
“Hey, (Y/N), it’s really okay if you don’t want to. I would never do anything you weren’t comfortable with.” His voice was soft, worried.
“It’s not that,” You trailed off averting your gaze. “It’s just I’ve never been... You know.”
“Never what?” He raised his eyebrow in that way that said, I don’t believe you,”I know you’re not a virgin.”
You rolled your eyes and scoffed, “Of course not, I mean the,” You flailed with your hand trying to get the point across without explicitly saying it, “I’ve never.. you know.”
Realization dawned on his features, “Oh... you’ve never been eaten out?”
“Fuck, yes, Changbin. That. God.” The fact that he said it out loud made you even more shy.
“You’re so cute when you’re flustered.” He said before pinching your cheek and biting his lip.
“This room’s taken.” Changbin called as a couple walked in barely keeping each other on their feet. He shoved them out before closing and locking the door behind them.
“Changbin!” You squeaked as he rushed back over to you, picking you up off the ground and carrying you to the bed before tossing you easily on it. There was a mischievous glint in his eyes, one you hadn’t seen in a very long time.
“Who let you wear this dress?” He asked pulling at it teasingly; undressing you with his eyes.
“Jinnie bought it for me.” You replied. He took off his jacket, the sleeves of his black shirt were cut off revealing his biceps. “Been working out?” You asked not hiding your want anymore.
“Like what you see?” Changbin asked before pulling your legs towards him so your bum was at the end of the mattress.
You nodded, biting the tip of your finger as you gazed up at him. He ran his hands up your calves and thighs before tugging you a little closer to the edge.
“When did you get so buff?” You asked half teasing. He raised an eyebrow.
“Oh, you know just looking out for my health.”
“Sure.” You rolled your eyes laughing.
There was silence as Changbin took you in again, staring down at you, his face unreadable as always. “Would it be okay if we forgot everything for a little while?”
His words made you catch your breath in your chest. Your fingertips grazed his hands on your thighs, slowly back and forth before nodding hesitantly, “That sounds fun” You breathed.
Changbin smiled before slipping his hands under your dress and slowly pulled down your lacy black panties. He got on his knees and spread your legs open, the motion made you squeeze your eyes shut squeaking in the process, covering your face with your hands.
“Ah, what? Don’t tell me you’re still shy.” Changbin laughed before placing small kisses on the inside of your thighs, switching between the two. There was a soft romantic song playing in the distance, so you tried to focus on it to calm your increasing heartbeat as Changbin kissed and sucked small spots on your sensitive skin.
His breath was warm as were his lips and his hands felt like they were burning on your thighs. It wasn’t long until you felt your body longing for more of him. He noticed the way your breathing started to come slightly quicker, the way your legs started to unconsciously shake with want and desire. He saw the way you bit your lip trying to keep yourself from making any sound, and the way you covered your eyes with your arm, hand clenched into a fist.
He smirked wanting to make you break.
“Oh, my god.” You breathed as you felt his tongue trace along your folds. You trembled at his warm touch. He liked the way you looked from this point of view and the way you tasted on his tongue.
His mouth found your clit and you let out a “Fuck,” as he drew circles with his tongue, the sensation sending waves of pleasure that you had never felt before. It was so much better than touching yourself. He went between licking you up and circling your clit occasionally sucking on it making you whimper.
“That feels so so good,” Your hands found their way into his hair pushing it out of his eyes, he looked sexy from here.
“I’m glad you like it,” He hummed still at your core, the vibrations of his voice against your clit making you shake.
You could feel the heat starting to rise, the way that familiar knot was forming in your core.
But suddenly, you remembered the guy on the dance floor. The way he smelled of weed, the way he pushed his body against your back. The way he lead you off the dance floor and handed you the drink. The drink you almost drank, the one he drugged to...
The sensation hit you like a truck after a few minutes and you could feel the pleasure start to change into something else, your breathing was coming out faster and heavier. The walls of the room started to close in and you felt like you might pass out. Your thighs were trembling and Changbin had to hold them open to keep you from trying to close them.
“Changbin I– I– fuck, I–,” you couldn’t form a coherent sentence and panic started to rise in your chest. There were black dots starting to dance across your vision, you felt claustrophobic, “Shit, it’s really heavy. Changbin, please,”
“Please what?” He asked, noticing panic in your voice. But you couldn’t speak all you could do was clench his hair making him stop.
“I– I need to catch my breath.” Fuck why were you panicking now. You sat up clenching your chest trying to focus your breathing. Changbin was sitting back on his knees, he grabbed your face between his hands trying to get you to focus on him.
“Hey, it’s okay, it’s okay just look at me. Focus on me.” His eyes and voice were calm but you felt a small part of you unraveling. Your chest hurt from how hard you were trying to breath, you tried closing your eyes but Changbin got your attention again, “No, (Y/N) look at me, keep focusing on me. I’m here. I’m real.”
Your eyes desperately searched his face trying to center yourself.
“The guy fro–from be–before, I– I’m having a p–anic attack,” You chocked out trying to at least tell him what was happening. It wasn’t the first time he saw you panic, but it had been a very long time.
“Okay, baby, don’t worry I’m right here. Just breathe. Can you tell me five things you can see? Come on, just five little things.” You could only see a small glint of desperation in his eyes.
“H–hair,” You chocked out looking at his dark hair, “Eyes,” His eyes that felt like home...
“That’s great, baby, really great. Three more. Just tell me three more little things you see.” Changbin encouraged, hands warm against your cheeks.
“Nose” that you loved to pinch when you would tease him in high school, “Cheeks,” they were flushed, “Lips,” they were soft and still wet from eating you out, your eyes stayed there.
“Great. Now four things you can touch.”
Your breathing was still heavy but you were a tiny bit calmer. You touched the bed for a few seconds, your dress, his hair and his hands on your face.
“Three things you can hear.” He continued calmly, voice like honey.
You concentrated, “rain, piano, your breathing.”
“Two things you can smell.”
“Beer and... your cologne.” Your eyes were closed but you were almost in complete control again.
“That’s amazing baby, now tell me one thing you can taste,”
“Dos XX.” You opened your eyes, he was smiling softly. “Damn it, Changbin I’m so sorry.”
You felt so guilty for freaking out like that. It was something that was out of your control but you still felt guilty and week for letting it overtake you like that. Especially now of all moments.
Changbin stayed on his knees looking up at you. You felt so embarrassed. Why did that have to happen now, you cursed yourself again. It had been months since your last panic attack but something about the way that guy tried to drug you made you lose your mind.
You pulled Changbin’s arm tugging him to join you on the bed. “Can you hug me for a bit, please?”
He chuckled before kicking off his shoes and climbing onto the bed. He pulled your body back with him as he sat up right against the headboard. His arms were wrapped tightly around your waist as you settled between his legs. He rested his chin on your shoulder half mumbling half singing the lyrics to I will follow you into the dark and swaying you gently. You closed your eyes relaxing against his chest, feeling the vibrations as he sang the sweet words into your ear. You felt at home in his arms, they were strong and safe. Like a fortress.
After a while of being like this you shifted in his embrace enough to where you could look up at him.
“What?” He asked half worried half smiling.
“Thank you for saving me. Or well, not saving me but you know... saving me. I didn’t realize the guy was a total scumbag. I should have been more careful.” You looked down fiddling with your fingers.
Changbin was quiet for a long time before responding. “If you let me be near you again, I promise I will always keep you safe.”
You met his gaze again. “What do you mean?”
“I mean, yes, I like you. A lot, actually. But I understand if you don’t want to be with me in that way or at least not right now, but it would be really great if we could try being friends again.. like before.”
Like before.
That’s all you had ever wanted. Was to go back to how things had been before, but you weren’t sure if that was even possible anymore. So much at had changed, everything was different. You were different.
“Can we go back to forgetting everything... Just for a little while longer?” You asked placing your hand on his neck, pulling his lips down to yours. You felt tired from the panic attack, but you need to feel something. Something that would replace the fear.
“Are you sure this is okay?” Changbin asked, he was hesitating against your lips.
You nodded pulling him into a kiss, your hands getting lost in his hair. Everything seemed to rush, the way your teeth teased his lips and his yours. The way you shifted yourself to lay down on your back pulling Changbin on top of you as you did. The way his hands slipped under your dress feeling your cold skin, and yours tugging his shirt desperately. You pulled the shirt over his head tossing it to the side before he went back to your lips shoving his tongue into your mouth. You could still taste yourself on his tongue and you blushed.
“I really want you to fuck me.”
Changbin chocked at your comment before laughing, “Damn, you can be really bold sometimes. I like it.”
He wasted no time unbuckling his belt buck, he looked so sexy doing it biting his lip, he knew what he could do to you. Changbin discarded the rest of his clothes and pulled your dress off surprised to see you weren’t wearing a bra.
“What?” You teased.
“Nothing, you’re just really hot.” His lips were hot on your chest, trailing down your stomach and back up again. His hands massaging your boobs before taking one in his mouth, he nibbling on your nipple the sensation making you whimper.
You pulled him by his hair back up to your lips, your legs wrapping around his bare waist pulling his naked body to yours.
“If you make me wait any longer I’m going to go crazy,” You whined pouting at Changbin making him laugh. “Oh, fuck,” he said shaking his head, “I don’t have a condom, I forgot my wallet at home...” At this point you were so turned on you just wanted to hit him, but you needed him so desperately.
“It’s okay, I’m on the pill. Either way, I trust you.” You looked at him as you consented, before pulling his body closer to yours. The tip of his throbbing cock was teasing your entrance and you whined pushing your hips to get closer to him.
Changbin tsked, “You’re so impatient baby girl.”
“I need you, I don’t want to feel afraid anymore.” You didn’t care that the words sounded dumb or selfish, it was the truth.
“You don’t need to be afraid with me around.” He hummed into your neck brushing his head against your cheek, his hair was soft and smelled of mint. “I’ll keep you safe.” his words gave you chills.
“I know that, Changbin.” You didn’t, but you wanted to.
He slowly pushed his tip into your entrance making you squeeze your eyes shut.
“Look at me,” Changbin said grabbing your jaw in the way that was starting to feel familiar. “I want you to know that it’s me, that it’s me and no one else.”
You picked up on what he was hinting at, because there were things he noticed that you didn’t. Like what may or may not trigger another panic attack. He was right, so you kept your eyes open, watching as his face scrunched up as he pushed himself into your pussy stretching you out.
“Oh, fuck that’s tight.” He groaned, voice raspy and deep. “Fuck.”
He waited for you to adjust before continuing to move slowly in and out. You were still slick from before, so even though he filled you up it felt so good. The way he kissed your neck, and left love marks made you whine and tell him how much you had always wanted to do this.
“How many times have you thought about fucking me?” He asked, sitting back on his knees and pulling your waist higher to fuck you at a better angle. These types of positions always made you a little self conscious since he had a full frontal view, but you felt safe under his gaze.
“Too many to count.” You admitted laughing before moaning as he picked up the pace in time to the song that was playing downstairs. The friction felt like heaven and you felt the butterflies in your stomach start to turn into little knots. “Have you ever thought about fucking me?”
“Since the day I met you,” Changbin confessed between moans. “Fuck (Y/N) you feel so fucking good.”
“Changbin,” You moaned his name, eyes rolling back shut. You arched your back slightly as he pounded into you, the increased pace was making you feel hotter. “Fuck, if I would have known you were this good I would have asked you to fuck me sooner.”
He laughed at your vulgar comment, “Where? Like at the hide out?” He slammed into you again making you curse, your walls starting to clench around his cock.
“Yeah, that would have been really fun.” You found his hand and squeezed it. “Shit, I’m getting really close.” “Don’t worry baby you can cum whenever you want.” His words made you go crazy, and he praised you telling you how well you were doing. He pulled your legs up over his shoulder and bottoming you out with each and every thrust.
“Changbin, don’t stop.” You moaned as the sound of his skin slapping yours echoed louder and louder, Changbin’s breathing was hitching and you knew he was about to cum too. “Fuck,” The knots in your stomach turned into heatwaves as you released onto Changbin, he slammed into you harder and faster the friction making you see stars.
“Fuck, I’m gonna cum!” Changbin moaned your name as he came in you, his hot white liquid filling you up and you loved the way it felt. “Shit.”
He fell on your chest letting your legs rest on either side of him, you both struggled to catch your breath but the sound was sweet in your ears. Changbin kept telling you how beautiful you looked in this mess and how amazing you felt. You ran your fingers through his wet hair, admiring his beautiful features as he rested on your chest.
“Hands down,” Changbin breathed, swallowing his spit to hydrate his dry throat, “My favorite.”
You waited for him to finish his thought but he didn’t.
“Your favorite what?” You probed, putting your arm on your forehead still coming down from your high.
“Oh, my favorite sex round.” He said still breathing heavy, laughing. The sound echoing in your chest.
“Yeah, it was pretty fucking amazing.” You agreed. Changbin pulled himself out of you slowly before settling next to you pulling you close. You rested your head on his chest hearing his heartbeat return to normal, the sound bringing you peace.
His hand traced the curve of your waist, and he did that for long time.
Eventually you both fell asleep and sometime through the night, decided to just keep sleeping getting comfortable under the covers and Changbin’s skin pressed against yours.
It was the first night in a long time where you felt like you actually rested well. The morning light woke you and for a few seconds you started to panic, until you saw Changbin’s sleeping face next to yours. Then you remembered the night before, and the amazing things you felt. You calmed your heart and snuggled back into his chest.
“Mm?” he mused lightly.
“Shh, sorry for waking you.” You whispered wrapping your arms around him tightly. He chuckled and fell back asleep in seconds.
That was until Seungmin walked through the door and started yelling every curse word in the book, “What the fuck do you guys think you’re doing in my bed. Wait, fuck, what the hell did you guys do in my bed? Don’t tell me you fucking had sex in my bed that is so fucking gross. Ew! I hate you guys, we’re not friends anymore, get the hell out of my house and wash the damn sheets before you leave I’m telling Chan on you guys..” Seungmin stormed out of the room continuing his rant.
You and Changbin exchanged looks before bursting out laughing.
“I really hope this doesn’t turn into an everyday thing when we have sex.” Changbin said whipping a tear from his eye from laughing so hard. First Chan and now Seungmin.
You prayed to the gods the same thing.

Stargazing - Lee Felix
Tumblr media
“Yah y/n hurry up” Minho yelled. You were upstairs trying hard to pick an outfit for the trip you were attending. Well it wasn’t really your idea, not talking about how much you just wanted to stay home. But your lovely brother Minho had to “take care” of you since your parents were on a business trip once again. The only problem was that Minho already planed to go on a road trip with his friends.
So here you were , taking your time just to piss him off. A few yells and outfits later you finally gave in, took your bag and went downstairs. “Ah finally, the Princess is ready to go” Minho mocked, you just rolled your eyes and shot a “at least I look good” back. Opening the door you sat down, your brother following. He started to drive and made his way to Chan’s house. Chan, the popular handsome guy. All of Minho’s friends were popular, a lot of girls were jealous that you could spend so much time with them.
You didn’t really care, they were just 8 random boys to you, one of them being your annoying brother. Whenever they were at you house, that happened often because your parents weren’t home most of the time, you tried to stay in your room avoiding them as much as possible. It wasn’t like you didn’t like them, every single one of was kind and caring. They treated you like a little sister and you were thankful for that.
Taking a sip from your drink you almost choked when Minho said “you know that Felix is coming too right?” That asshole. You definitely had a weak spot for the fluffy haired guy with the galaxy spread over his cheeks and Minho knew that all to well. Trying to stay cool you just responded with a “mh great for him” looking out of the window you couldn’t see the smirk which was formed on your brothers lips.
A few moments later you arrived at Chan’s house, a few cars stood there. All of the guys were already waiting, Chan, Changbin, Hyunjin, Jisung , Seungmin, Jeongin and of course Felix. “Oh look who’s already here” Changbin laughed. Minho went out of the car to great his friends, you following close behind. “Sorry, this Princess here took her time” you just scoffed and made your way to Jisung, he was the one you were the closest to. He smiled and gave you a hug before ruffling your hair “princess here looks great tho” he said with a wink. You couldn’t see Felix clenching his yaw.
Chan got up and clapped his hands together “great, keep it down lovebirds we have a long journey in front of us! Split up and get in the cars” As you were about to head for Minho’s car again you stopped in your tracks, all seats were occupied. You were about to protest when someone cleared his throat behind you and a deep, all to familiar voice said “Well I guess you’re with me then”
After sending Minho a death glare you turned around and smiled at Felix “yeah let’s go” You quickly made your way to Felix car so you’d get shotgun, placing you pillow in your lap. Hyunjin and Jisung were also with you and Felix, the rest of the boys were in a car with Minho or Chan. And that was how the trip started, all of you wanted to get as far away as possible from home. The atmosphere was relaxed, Jisung, Hyunjin and Felix screamed along some songs which were played on the radio and at some point you just screamed with them.
When the screaming stopped it was already dark outside, you were driving for about six hours by now. Hyunjin and Jisung already took a few naps on the backseat while Felix and you stayed up the whole time talking about everything. At some point the two of you stopped and just listened to the soft music playing in the background, watching his eyes becoming more tired you spoke up “hey Hyunjin, Jisung what about we switch seats? Felix and me are getting tired, your turn to drive” Eventhough they protested at first the car soon stopped and all of you changed seats.
The warm summer breeze had turned cold by now, causing you to shiver as you went out of the car. You were just wearing a thin top and shorts so you couldn’t warm up that easily. Jisung and Hyunjin were still standing outside while Felix and you were already settled on the backseat. He noticed that you were cold and took off his hoodie “y/n” you turned your head around looking at him with big eyes “here, take it” “but you’ll be cold I shouldn’t-“ “just take it I’ll be fine” he pushed you further. You gave in and took the soft material in your hands, sliding it over your head. Felix comforting scent immediately taking over your senses, making you smile.
Felix couldn’t help but smile as well, the sight of you wearing his hoodie which was basically a dress on you, hair all messy and eyes sleepy caused his stomach to explode in butterflies. As he saw that you were still shivering he scooted closer and put his blanket over your legs. You were so sleepy that you couldn’t think clearly, as you felt Felix arm sliding around your shoulder, pulling you more into him you gladly accepted the offer and snuggled even further into his warmth.
Closing your eyes you felt the weight of Felix head on yours which was resting on his chest, after that you were fast asleep. The front door opened and the other two boys came in, seeing you and Felix all cuddled up on the backseat. They smiled as Hyunjin started to talk “what do you think Ji? How long will it take until they realize it?” Jisung just chuckled and replied “I don’t know, but look at them. It’s too cute to be true” he took out his phone and snapped a quick photo, sending it to Minho.
Minho just chuckled at the sight of the two of you “this is gonna be fun”
“What do you mean by you took pictures?!” “Bro we mean it like we said, I’ll show you later” someone laughed. You were still half asleep and couldn’t make everything out but what you realised was that you were in someone’s arms. As you heard the voices you moved a bit what caused everyone to stop in their tracks, Felix voice filled your ears “ssshh let her sleep, she’s tired” you smiled at that and snuggled further into his chest, breathing in his scent. Minho’s voice boomed through the room “Ah Prince Charming and his princess” he yelled “I’m glad to see that everyone arrived safely” suddenly your head shot up, bumping into Felix forehead.
“Minho you little fucker you scared me” you groaned rubbing your head “oh shit Felix I’m so sorry are you okay” Everything was silent by now, you just checked Felix forehead with a concerned look on your face. Well till you realized that he still held you in his arms, he instantly knew what was going on as your face flushed red. “Uhm I- sorry I’ll let you down” and with that your feet were on the ground again. Your brother spoke up again “don’t act like that, you were awake half of the time” everyone was looking at you by now, you felt like dying. “Yeah uh, thank you anyways Felix. Imma go get my room, where’s my room?” You rumbled. Jisung came up from behind “you’re with me” he smiled and you were relieved. Until he spoke up again “and Felix”
Great.
Everyone broke out in a few giggles as you left the room to find your own. It was annoying, obviously. Even though you knew Minho just wanted the best for you he still had strange ways to show it, embarrassing you almost everytime. Sure, spending more time with Felix was amazing but you didn’t really know how to feel about that. You were confused so you just pushed it away and tried not to think about that.
Time went by and some of the guys went to the beach, Jisung stayed back with you. After some pillow fights, a few rounds video games and tons of laughter you just laid on the floor, staring at the ceiling now. You started talking about life, things you never did and still wanted to do. “Woah y/n I didn’t knew you were that deep” Jisung laughed. That was true, you never talked to anyone like that. It was a bad habit but you kept most of your thoughts and feelings to yourself so you wouldn’t worry anyone. You didn’t felt bad tho, it was just normal. After a few seconds of silence you spoke up again „Ji?“ „hm?“ you took a deep breath „I think I like-„
The door opened and Felix came in. Your eyes widened and you prayed that he didn’t heard anything. „Oh uhm sorry, I just wanted to say that the food is ready“ he forced a smile on his face. He turned around and closed the door after he left the room. Making his way back to the others he felt strange. Felix heard what you said and he wasn’t happy about it. Anger overtook him, Minho said he had a chance, he said that you’d have a crush on him. But now he just walked in to you confessing your feelings for Jisung. Felix plopped down on the couch and sighed as Hyunjin sat down next to him. „Lix are you okay?“ he said while laying a hand on his shoulder. Felix couldn’t hold back „did you know that y/n likes Jisung?“
Hyunjin couldn’t believe his ears, was Felix really this dense? It was obvious that y/n and him liked each other, well for everyone but the two of them. There was no way y/n liked anyone but Felix. Yes Jisung and her were close but all of them knew that he was like a brother to her, nothing more. But Hyunjin also knew that Felix was sensitive about the ones he loved, and that he gets jealous easily. He decided to stay calm, he wasn’t in the place to tell the freckled boy the truth. „What makes you think that?“ he chuckled. Felix looked at him „because I just walked in on her confessing“ „What exactly did you hear?“ he asked further. Felix rubbed his forehead „I didn’t hear everything but she said ‚I think i like‘ then I walked in and she looked at me like I killed her cats or something like that“ Hyunjin just smiled but decided to keep quiet. He just patted Felix back and said „let’s go, the others are waiting“ They stood up and went to the rest.
You were concerned, Jisung asked what you wanted to say after Felix left but you just shook your head. Now all of you were sitting on the table as Hyunjin and Felix joined and sat down. Looking at Felix you noticed that he avoided your gaze, his eyes were glued to the floor as he sat down next to you. The food was ready and everyone started eating, Chan and Minho prepared a lot of food. It was delicious, probably one of the best meals you ever had. “What do you guys want to do the next days? We have a week all to ourselves” Chan started a conversation. “I want to go to the beach!” Jeongin announced, with a few nods and smiles it was settled, the beach would be the best spot. After everyone agreed on that the conversation went on. Jokes were made and everyone laughed, everyone but Felix. You noticed that he was oddly quiet and tapped his thigh.
He looked up, “are you okay?” You asked softly so that nobody would hear. His mouth opened but he didn’t say anything, instead of talking he smiled and nodded. After that he broke the eye contact the two of you had and continued eating. You were confused, why was he acting like that? If he heard you before it would make a bit sense, but you didn’t even say his name so that couldn’t be it.
Felix still felt strange. He knew he shouldn’t be that jealous but he couldn’t help it. You were always special to him, even though he never really talked to you. Recalling the memorie when he first met you he smiled softly to himself.
Flashback
It was a cold day in winter, your parents were on a trip again so Minho called all of the boys over. Felix was a bit late, Minho couldn’t hear him knocking. That was why instead of him you opened the door. He was so confused that he thought he knocked at the wrong door but you just smiled and let him in. “The others went to the store to buy some snacks, they should be back soon” you explained to him, Felix nodded and smiled at you “do you also want a hot choclate? I was just gonna make me one when you knocked” you continued. Felix giggled “I’d love to have one, it’s freezing outside” you just laughed and headed for the kitchen, gesturing him to follow.
He sat down and watched as you rushed to make the drinks. Taking in your features he noticed your messy hair and the fuzzy socks you were wearing. You looked more than cute, he hadn’t much time to appreciate you tho because a few seconds later the drinks were done and you turned around and sat down in front of him. “You’re Felix right?” You asked and took a sip from your cup. “Yeah I am” he smiled “sorry to ask but who are you? I’ve never seen you here before” you giggled and Felix could swear he felt his heart beat a bit faster. “I’m y/n, Minho’s sister. I usually stay in my room when he has friends over” you told him before taking another sip. “Ah I see, I wouldn’t mind seeing you more often” he winked.
Suddenly you bursted into laughter, the poor boy looked at you dumb folded. He looked at you as you got up and went to get a tissue, frowning as you leaned closer and wiped some cream from his nose. “You got some whipped cream there” you said while wiping “oh and you got freckles, they’re cute” you continued before sitting back down. He scratched his neck “ah thank you” The two of you continued talking till you heard the front door open. A few seconds later the rest of the boys stood in the kitchen, looking from you and Felix back at the cups and then to Minho. “What is going on here?” Minho laughed, “well you guys just left for the store so your sister opened and we talked a bit” Felix said. “Alright lovebirds, sorry y/n but we have to take your boyfriend with us” Chan said while pulling Felix with him. You decided to play along “I see, have fun see you later babe” you winked. Silent gasps were heard and Felix mouth hung open before a smirk was formed “see you around sweetheart” he said before blowing you a kiss and walking away. You didn’t leave his mind just once after that.
End of the flashback
Everyone finished their food and started cleaning. After that most of the guys headed to bed since it was getting really late, you wanted to do the same so you went to the bathroom to get ready and changed into comfy clothes. Jisung and Felix were already laying in their bed as you came back, you smiled at the sight, took out your earphones, played some music and sank into your own bed.
You didn’t know for how long you laid in bed, an hour? Maybe two. Sleep just wasn’t taking over and you couldn’t tell why. Letting out a silent groan you pulled the earphones out, stopped the music and stood up. Walking on tiptoes so the two boys wouldn’t wake up you sneaked out of the room and went into the kitchen. Grabbing a cup you started to make yourself a hot choclate. It really became a habit, whenever you couldn’t sleep, were sad or felt angry you’d just make yourself a hot choclate. It really helped, you always felt better after drinking it. You sat down on the counter and waited.
Felix woke up by the door closing, letting his eyes adjust to the dark he looked around and found your bed empty. He wanted to go back to sleep but worry overtook him, where did you go? Were you okay? Sitting up he looked over to Jisung who slept peacefully before making his way out of the room to look for you. When he came into the kitchen you sat at the counter, slurping something out of a big cup. “Did you just make yourself a hot choclate at 4am in summer?” His raspy voice startled you. Your head whipped around “Jesus Christ Lee Felix” you hissed, choking on your drink. He just laughed and made his way to sit beside you “sorry sleepy head” Just smiling you gestures to your cup “you want one too?” He nodded “sure”
That was the second time Felix and you came together at a cup of hot choclate, not that you minded. The two of you sat in silence till you spoke up “what’s up with you today? You seem off” “just a bad day I think” he answered with a shrug of his shoulders. After a few minutes you spoke up again “you know I’m here for you right? I mean you don’t have to but If you want to talk I’ll always listen” feeling his eyes on you you stared into your cup which was almost empty. “Y/n?” Felix softly called out for you “hm” you were getting really sleepy, talking was getting hard. “Can I hug you?” the boy beside you asked. You slowly stood up and opened your arms “sure, come here”
Felix basically jumped up before wrapping his arms around your waist, slowly so you could back out if you wanted to. When he was sure you were okay with his actions he rested his face in the crock of your neck, your own arms slinging around his. Laying your head on his chest you could hear his heartbeat, making you even more tired. Felix hugs were great, you felt warm and safe. He held you like he never wanted to let go and if you’d be completely awake your heart would probably burst. Felix didn’t know what came over him when he suddenly asked to hug you but now, with you in his arms he felt happier than ever. You looked so soft and small in his arms, he noticed how you almost fell asleep so he just picked you up “let’s get you to bed”
Feeling Felix picking you up caused you to hold on him even tighter, you were basically asleep by now. After a few seconds you felt him laying you down on you bed but you didn’t want to let go, he was so warm. At some point you spoke up “stay here” the freckled boy thought he was dreaming “what?” “Stay here” you repeated, trying to pull him down to you “please” His thoughts were racing, was it really ok or were you just tired “are you sure?” He asked. You just nodded your head “alright, let me get my blanket then-“ “you can use mine, it’s ok” and with that you managed to finally pull him down. He landed on top of you “oh my god I’m sorry y/n, are you ok?” You just hummed and tightened your arms around him. Rolling on his side so he wouldn’t crush you he pulled the blanket over the two of you before looking down at you with a smile on his lips. You looked like a little koala clinging into him like that, it was more than adorable.
He slung his arms around your waist again, enjoying the moment and pulling you even closer. You snuggled into him and took a deep breath, taking in his scent. With his warmth around you sleep was coming really fast. Before you finally drifted off you felt him softly pecking your head “rest well sweetheart”
As you woke up you felt something warm around you, feeling comfortable you sighted and snuggled even further into the warmth. You weren’t fully awake yet and didn’t want to get up. Closing your eyes you recalled the actions from last night. Suddenly you were wide awake, your eyes shot up and spotted fluffy hair. Senses becoming clearer you felt arms around your waist and someone breathing in your neck. You wanted to panic but thought about it for a few seconds. Felix was a good guy, he cared about you more than the others did. You liked him, you liked him a lot. Giving in you wrapped your arms around the boys middle, laid your head back into his chest and listened to his calming heartbeat. It seemed like all your worries faded away, laying in the arms of the boy you adored sleep took over you fast.
Little did you know that Felix wasn’t sleeping, your shifting earlier woke him up. Afraid of your reaction he just stayed still. He couldn’t help but blush so he buried his face deeper into the crock of your neck. Not talking about the butterflies in his stomach as you wrapped your arms around him and snuggled even further into his chest. You drove him crazy. He would do nearly everything to keep you happy. As you were back asleep he moved a little to see your face, a cheek squished against his chest, hair fuzzy and eyes closed. But, was this okay? He couldn’t help but feel guilty, you liked Jisung after all. Jisung, the guy he called his brother, what if he liked you back? He couldn’t do that to the both of you, giving you a last kiss on the forehead he carefully removed himself from your grip and silently left the room. Making his way to the terrace he sat down and looked down at the beach. He muttered a silent „fuck“ as his eyes filled with tears.
Jisung was awake. When Felix carried you in your bed and when he left as well. His heart swell because the two of you were so cute. He knew about your feelings for Felix, eventhough you didn’t tell him fully. You smile was brighter when he was there, same goes for him. Asking himself how long it would take the two of you he sighted and turned around. Felix was good for you, he helped you to open up again, he didn’t knew that tho. You told Jisung about your hardships and fears, he was surprised when you told him that you had a massive problem to open up to people because some of your old “friends” just used you. Seeing that Felix could and would maybe cure this fear he just wished the best for the two of you.
So that was the first day, six were left and then you’d head home again. It was a great start so you knew this vacation was gonna be the best you’d ever have. Confusion took over as you woke up alone, the space next to you was cold and Felix comforting scent was gone. You turned around and spotted Jisung in his bed, he seemed to be in a deep slumber so you took one of your pillows and threw it at him. “Yah Jisung!” You yelled. The poor boy just fell back into a deep sleep as your pillow hit him and he almost fell to the ground. Shooting up in his bed his eyes were wide and he put a hand above his heart “Jesus y/n! Why are you yelling like that it’s early in the morning!? I almost died because of you” you couldn’t help but laugh at the sight “it’s not that early, do you know where Felix is?” He sighted and rubbed his forehead “I don’t know, he slept in your bed not in mine”
Now your eyes were wide. A deep red blush spreaded over your cheeks and you coughed “w-what are you talking about? How do you even know that you stalker” you hissed, not knowing what to say. “Hey I’m not a stalker, I just woke up earlier and saw it. You two look great together, when’s the wedding?” He joked. Your face looked like a tomato by now, muttering a silent ‘shut up’ you got up and headed outside. Passing the terrace door you spotted Felix who sat outside and watched the beach, smiling to yourself you walked up behind him and slung your arms around his middle, hugging him from behind. You felt his body tense under your touch and heard a silent sob, “Felix?” No answer. Letting go you pulled his arm to turn him but he just stood still and didn’t move. “Felix are you okay?” Still, no response.
Felix didn’t know what to do, he just stood there and thought about a million things he could say to you. There was no way to avoid a conversation with you, he knew that, and as much as he loved spending time with you, he couldn’t continue like that. His thoughts kept diving off to you and Jisung, how he couldn’t confess to you because you liked one of his best friends and how he held you last night, how you held onto him and didn’t show any signs of discomfort. He thought about how it would be to call you his, to hold you every night, he felt his eyes tear up again. “I can’t do this” he suddenly said. “What?” You didn’t know what he was talking about. “I said I can’t do this anymore” he repeated. Felix knew that you wouldn’t let go that easily, in some points Minho and you were pretty similar. It was hard for him and he still didn’t turn around to look at you “please don’t talk to me again”
Those words caused you to break out into pure fear, just staring at his back you couldn’t find the words you wanted to say. Trying to stay calm you took a deep breath “why?” You inhaled again “did I do something wrong? If it’s about last night I’m sorry I shouldn’t have-“ “you did nothing wrong” he interrupted you “I did”. You were beyond confused by now “but Felix we’re friends, why should I stop talking to you?” Friends. Felix hated that word by now, he had to stop you because if you’d keep going he’d break and tell you everything. He did the only thing that came into his mind “I don’t want to be friends with you”
You felt a pang into your chest. What did he say? Did Lee Felix, the boy you dearly loved just tell you that he doesn’t want to be friends with you anymore. Why did such things always happened to you, why couldn’t you be happy. Everything started off so good, you couldn’t believe your ears. Then finally Felix turned around. You looked him right into the eyes, they looked cold and lifeless, not happy and full of adoration like usual. Your own were filled with tears, it took everything in him to not wrap his arms around your smaller frame and comfort you. But Felix stayed strong, muttering a quick “I’m sorry” he pushed past you and disappeared into the house.
You were speechless and didn’t know what to do. Your first thought was to find Jisung and tell him everything what happened, but then you stayed still. Every time you opened up to people shit like this happened, not wanting to get hurt once again you decided to go inside. Making yourself a hot chocolate you went back outside and sat down, getting lost in your thoughts.
Felix immediately went to Chan, he was his best friend and always helped him. Knocking at the door he went in and sat down. Chan noticed that something was off, Felix usually happy eyes seemed empty, cold. “Lix what happened?” That was his breaking point, uneven sobs escaped the youngest throat. After explaining everything Chan just hugged him, after he calmed down a bit he pulled away and looked at the floor.
“I fucked up Chris, I don’t know what to do”
You had finished your drink by now and just stared at the beach when Jisung joined. “Already outside? What’s up with you” he laughed while ruffling your hair, quickly wiping your eyes you smiled back as he sat down next to you. “Y/n are you okay? Did you cry?” He suddenly asked a lot more serious. You nodded and forced a smile, a few minutes of silence went by before you spoke up “Ji?” “Hm?” You hesitated but continued “Can I get a hug?” Turning to face you he just opened his arms, sighting you sat closer and hugged him, wrapping his arms around you he placed his head on yours.
Meanwhile Chan told Felix his thoughts about the whole thing and finished off with a “I think you should go and talk to her, make things clear” This had Felix thinking, he shouldn’t have been so mean, he wanted to apologize. After a few more minutes he spend talking with Chan he got up to talk to you. Walking out of Chans room he made his way trough the hallway until he stood in the kitchen. He guessed that you’d still be there, and he was right. A little smile crossed his face as he saw you outside, but that immediately changed as he came closer and saw Jisung who sat next to you. Still coming closer he saw that he wasn’t just sitting next to you, he had his arms around you, the two of you sat there hugging each other. Felix just stood there and felt his heart break a little more, seeing you with him was even worse than hearing you talk about him, clenching his jaw he abruptly turned around and stormed into his room, slamming the door.
He wanted to apologize, he really wanted to tell you that he’s sorry. But he couldn’t. Deciding that he needed space he packed all his stuff and went to Chan’s room, now Jisung and you wouldn’t be interrupted in whatever you were going to do. Maybe he was overreacting, well he knew that he was overreacting a bit but he couldn’t help it, you were always precious to him, he always wanted to make you his, he just never had the courage to ask you out, and now he was to late. He mentally scolded himself, maybe if he said something before, maybe things were different by now. The thought hurted him, laying down into his new bed he closed his eyes and tried to erase you from his mind. He tried to push his feelings aside and maybe, just maybe he could make things work that way.
You weren’t good, Felix avoided you like the plague. When you and Jisung came back into your room Felix bed was empty and all his stuff was gone, Jisung asked you if you had an idea why he did that but you just shook your head. It was hard, the boy you liked seemed to hate you.
Two days had passed by now, two days of torture for you. Felix hasn’t talked a word to you, he didn’t even looked at you. Everytime you tried to build a conversation he shut you down or just walked away, he was so cold that you felt like you never knew him. You had a lot of bottled up feelings, having no one to talk to made everything worse. Sadness spreaded all over you and you felt lonelier than ever, of course you tried to move on but being in constant contact with him wasn’t helpful. Jisung asked if you were okay a few times, you skipped meals and barely smiled, he was beyond worried. You were always smiling, known as sunshine in the group,he immediately noticed that your smile faded away.
When you woke up today you already felt off, telling yourself it was just because you couldn’t sleep that well you shook it off. The guys wanted to go to the beach again so you packed your swimsuit, a few towels and sunscreen and went to the beach. Everything was great, you played beach volleyball and relaxed in the sun, you still felt dizzy but it was better than in the past few hours so you decided to agree as Seungmn asked you to join them and go swimming. Taking of your sundress you made you way into the refreshing water, it was pretty wavy and you had to concentrate so you wouldn’t fall. Diving right into the ocean you saw Chan joining, he had the volleyball in his hands and threw it at Hyunjin. Only a few seconds later the ball was thrown around and everyone had fun, the wind got stronger and the waves got bigger and with the sun shining right at you your body felt tired and you were dizzier than ever.
Suddenly you heard Minho scream your name and only a few moments later, you felt the ball hitting your head.
That really didn’t help, your head was pounding by now but when the guys asked if you were alright you just responded with a „yeah sure I’m fine“ A few minutes of laughter passed and you tried your best to act normal, you didn’t want to look weak, especially not in front of Felix. It was just then that you glanced over just to see him looking at you, not paying much attention to everything around you a big wave crashed into your back, tackling your body underwater.
Felix watched you a few minutes, you looked weak, almost sick. Your skin wasn’t shining like usual and there were deep circles under your eyes. When you made eye contact it was like the world stopped for a few seconds, until the wave knocked you down. Everyone laughed at first, yes it was a funny sight, but minutes passed and you weren’t showing up. It was like in slow motion, the guys began to panic, Minho screamed for you. Felix snapped, immediately diving into the water, looking for you. Adrenaline and pure panic rushed trough his veins.
You tried to swim but the water was to heavy, pulling you deeper and deeper down. You already gave up when a pair of strong arms wrapped around you and pulled you up, feeling air fill your lungs you started coughing right away holding onto someones shoulders with all your remaining strength. A few moments later you found yourself laying on the warm sand, eight worried faces above you. “Y/n oh my god you scared me to death!” Minho whined into your face before hugging you tight. “I’m gonna take you back to the house” he continued but you spoke up “no Min, I know how exited you were to be here, I can go home by myself” Minho insisted but you felt guilty, it almost escalated into a fight but suddenly someone cleared his throat and a deep voice spoke up “uh I-I’ll take her home”
It took Felix a lot to say those words. He was scared, maybe you’d ask questions, maybe you’d scream at him, tell him you’d never wanted to see or talk to him again because of what he did, but nothing scared him more than you did. Not you in general, but the thought to lose you, when he pulled your limp body out of the water. He was worried about your well being, about the fact that you almost drowned right in front of his eyes.
You looked up at Felix who avoided your ganze once again, deciding to ignore it you swallowed and gave Minho a encouraging nod. „Fine, Lix, please take good care of her“ he finally gave in, surprising you. You started packing your stuff and the boys went back into the water, not all of them tho, when you turned around you ran straight into Felix chest. Stumbling back you almost fell over again but Felix reached out and gripped your waist tight, your hands finding their way to his shoulders, holding them for support. You just stood there for a while, looking at the floor and tried to stable yourself.
„Everything okay?“ Felix asked, that was when you looked up and your eyes finally met. You got lost in his hazel eyes, falling into an endless ocean of emotions. The two of you just stood there, staring into each others eyes. Suddenly his face came closer and closer, you panicked and backed away, grabbing your stuff and started walking. „You coming?“ you turned around giving him a small smile. He nodded and quickly catched up with you, taking your bag he just muttered a small „I’ll take that“
The rest of the walk was quiet, nobody really talked but it wasn’t that bad since the walk wasn’t long. You sat down in the kitchen as you arrived, getting a glass of water and sat down. Felix came in and sat down in front of you „Are you fine?“ he asked softly. You just laughed „after almost drowning like five minutes ago? Oh yeah I’m amazing“ His hands slammed down on the counter „YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY?“ he screamed „I should’ve just stayed there, why did I even brought you home, why couldn’t Jisung do that?“ his voice got louder with ever word „you know what? Fuck you. Leave me alone and don’t talk to me ever again, you’re so annoying you can’t even decide what you want“ his words hurted you. You wanted to scream back at him but he just muttered a silent „I shouldn’t have saved you“
You jumped up, lips pressed together and tears spilling from your eyes. Wanting to slap him you lifted your hand but decided against it in the last second, letting your hand drop you shoved him out of the way and ran out of the kitchen. Making your way up to the roof you sat down and cried. You went to the roof before, to watch the stars, it was beautiful up there. There was a little lounge but you didn’t care and let yourself fall to the floor. You just sat there and let the tears flow, spending hours on the roof just watching the ocean and the beach you waited for the sun to go down so the stars would come out and give you comfort.
It was almost dark by now and the others returned from the beach. Felix, Jisung and Chan sat in the livingroom when Minho came in „Hey Felix where’s y/n?“ his expression changed immediately „I don’t know, in her room?“ Minho got concerned „what do you mean by you don’t know? She’s not in her room, I told you to look after her!“ he started to get louder, „she’s a grown woman why should I look after her?“ Minho couldn’t control his temper „WELL MAYBE BECAUSE YOU LOVE HER?!“ he yelled. Everyone became quiet, Jisung and Chan looked at each other. Suddenly Felix stood up walking up to Minho, yelling back „YES. YES I DO AND IM SO TIRED OF IT, YOU SAID I’VE GOT A CHANCE, YOU SAID SHE‘D LOVE ME BACK BUT YOU KNOW WHAT? SHE LIKES JISUNG! I KEPT DISTANCING MYSELF FROM HER AND MAN IT HURTS“ his voice broke „I just want to love her“
Jisung interrupted Felix „what the fuck man, she doesn’t like me, you’re the only one in her mind, she only likes you!“ his eyes went wide „what?“ „you dumbass are so dense aren’t you? She’s head over heels for you, you really need to go and make things right“ Jisung continued. Felix felt fear running through his veins, he couldn’t believe it, how stupid was he? Looking at Jisung with shaking hands he started to talk „B-But I said awful things to her, sh-she‘ll never forgive me“ now it was Chans turn to talk „Lee Felix go an freaking tell this girl you love her“ „but I don’t know where she is“ Felix whined.
„I think she’s on the roof“ Jisung said „how do you know that?“ Felix hissed. „Because she loves watching stars“ Minho explained. Felix immediately rushed into his room, grabbing his blanket. „What are you doing?“ Minho yelled as Felix ran past him, „Telling your sister I love her, and it’s cold outside!“ he yelled back. Minho just plopped down next to Chan and Jisung chuckling.
„He’s adorable“
Felix was running by now, his head was spinning and he didn’t even knew what he was gonna tell you. He finally made his way to the roof, looking around he spotted a small figure looking at the sky. Taking a deep breath and stood behind you „y/n?“ his voice was barely audible but your heard it. Your head whipped around and you immediately stood up, unfortunately to fast what caused you to get dizzy again. Felix wanted to help so he took a few steps to reach out for you, you just held your arms up, signaling him to stay away. That hurted, but he accepted it and just stood in front of you.
You held your head and took a few deep breaths, Felix presence concerning you. After a few seconds of silence you spoke up „what do you want?“ it was scary how cold your voice sounded. Obviously you didn’t want to talk to him, his words were like knives which he rammed into your chest, you were filled with sadness and anger, just wanting to scream at him. „I wanted to talk to you“ Felix stared „I’m so sorry I-„ „Are you kidding me Felix? After everything you did and said to me you suddenly want to apologize? I opened up to you, I wanted to give you everything but you? You just abandoned me, you ignore me for days just to safe me and act all cute and nice? Oh no a few minutes later you tell me that you regret it“ your voice broke „you basically told me that you want me dead Lee Felix“ he interrupted you „y/n could you please listen-„ „No I can not, you’re gonna listen now. Do you know what you did to me? I haven’t eaten in days because I thought it’s my fault that you suddenly stopped talking to me. I though you were my safe place but you just left, like everyone did-„
„Y/N I TOLD YOU TO LISTEN!“ Felix yelled, he couldn’t take it anymore. His voice was deep and intimidating as he yelled, it scared you whenever he began to be louder. You flinched and backed away. Tears ran down your cheeks and you trembled, Felix heart broke at the sight of you, were you scared of him? Not thinking about it twice he stepped forward and slung his arms around you “no please y/n, baby don’t be scared, I’m sorry! I’m so sorry, I’d never hurt you“ he whispered in your hair. Feeling his arms around you, you finally broke, sobs escaping your lips and tears soaking his shirt.
„Why are you doing this? I thought you’d hate me, you’re such an asshole“ you spoke between sobs, punching his chest and trying to push him away. Felix wasn’t having it, his own eyes becoming wet as he just held you tighter so you couldn’t run away. At some point you gave up, letting yourself fall into his chest, holding his shirt so he wouldn’t disappear again. „Why“ you spoke up again, voice small and throat hurting. You heard Felix taking a deep breath „I thought you like Jisung“ was the only thing he said, confusing you. You mentally rolled your eyes and whispered a quick „the only one I like is you“ to yourself, you felt Felix heartbeat speeding up, he heard it. Your head shot up „F-Felix I didn’t mean it like th-„
His lips were soft and warm against yours.
„Don’t say you didn’t mean it like that“ he said before capturing your lips again, „Don’t say it was just a mistake“ his lips found yours again „you’re my everything y/n“ and again. He meant it, you knew he did by the way he held you tight against him, by the way little tears ran down his cheeks. You reached out and kissed his tears away, that was his breaking point, big tears made their way down his cheeks, meeting your palm halfway. He reached out and pressed you harder against him, his body shook with sobs as he buried his face in the crock of your neck. „I-I’m s-so s-sorry y/n, I s-said a-awful things to y-you“ he whimpered. You softly ran your hands through his hair, kissing the side of his neck while whispering „it’s okay“ Holding each other tight it felt like a big weight was lifted from your shoulders, you could finally breathe again.
After a few minutes Felix picked you up and the two of you laid down on one of the couches by the lounge. He laid down with you on top of him and wrapped th blanked around your body’s. Starting a talk you explained everything to Felix, he wanted to punch himself because he was so stupid after hearing the whole story. You felt amazing, all your worries seemed to vanish, laying outside engulfed in Felix warmth while watching the stars, it just couldn’t be better. At some point you catched Felix staring down at you „what is it?“ you asked while turning around to face him. „You’re amazing, I love you so much“ he said before pulling you up to kiss you again, your lips moved together. Wrapping your arms around his neck you pulled him closer, his finding their way to your waist, doing the same.
Pulling away you pecked his nose, making him chuckle, he started tickling your sides while muttering „you’re so cute“ You laughed and tried to squirm out of his grip, but suddenly you were pinned down with him hovering above you „don’t even try to fight me baby“ he laughed while pinning your hands on either side of your head „I promise you’re gonna lose“ You laughed along, trying to get at least your hands free but there was no change, Felix grip was to strong. „Give me a kiss“ you whined while trying to reach his lips, after some seconds he finally leaned down to give you what you wanted. He gave your hands free and you started connecting his freckles, he just stared down and admired you as you did so.
After some time he spoke up „what are you doing?“ he chuckled, „I’m stargazing“ you joked. He laughed at your cheesy comment and laid down next to you, pulling your body as close to him as possible. Giving you a last peck on the lips he pulled your head in to rest on his chest. Closing your eyes you whispered a soft „I love you Lix“, kissing you forehead he responded immediately „I love you too y/n“
After all that drama you were finally happy. You’d definitely go stargazing with Felix again, even though your favorite constellations were placed on his cheeks.

To Marry a Vigilante: Part 17
------
The altercation with three footballers had several outcomes. First, Marinette was no longer treated as someone weak. Quite the opposite. The smarter part of the school now had a healthy dose of respect for the small french girl when they saw the camera recording Chloé ‘leaked’. The more sport-inclined part of the faculty was devastated by the loss of the three star players, for which they blamed Marinette.
Erica washed her hands about the whole incident, declaring that the poor souls must’ve just rashly reacted to the gossip going around the school. It still hurt her position a bit. Chloé and Allegra masterfully countered any of her minor lies and started spreading gossip about the head cheerleader instead. It was turning into a cold war, where neither side could get any advantage over the other for long.
The initial background search turned clean on both of them. Lila’s mother was an orphan, raised in one of the covenants in the mountains before studying law and politology. She now headed the French Embassy, after previously working in Germany, Belgium, and Spain. Lila’s father was a mystery and his name was not given at any point. The Italian girl often changed schools. Usually, she didn’t stay even one semester there. Lack of any family and trusted friends made her move around with her mother often. Boarding schools were too expensive for a then-starting diplomat. At some point, Lila started to thrive in each new school. Her files were nothing but praise since then.
Erica Layton was born Erica Blake, then Boyle when her mother married a wealthy CEO. Before, she ran a smaller Blake Industry, which merged with Boyle enterprises after the wedding. When Mr. Boyle was shot during one of the Two-face’s robberies, Erica’s mother started to date again. Until last summer, when she married a star baseball player, Lance Layton. The business was clean-ish and there was nothing that could be used against them really. There were some cases of inner nepotism and a bit of discrimination, but it wasn’t even worth a real investigation. Erica herself was truly a mean character, but her good looks, influential family, and good grades made her the “Gotham Academy Golden Princess.”
Damian wanted to get his vengeance. He tried hacking, but Barbara stopped him. It wasn’t as if anything he got that way could’ve been used against her and forging evidence was wrong, and would only hurt them in the long run. Marinette stopped him from going after them as Black Cat, which only agitated him further. He hated the feeling of powerlessness. Well, he loved Marinette more so he wouldn’t go against her orders.
Sabine also did her best, but she was similarly blocked by Barbara, who went as far as to lock the Bat-computer. A woman of many skills, Sabine was still unable to beat Oracle at hacking. She did make sure to always be available and near the school to intervene if any of the teachers tried to punish Mari unfairly. She was doing the same for Chloé, who she slowly came to treat as her child too, just like Cassandra.
Allegra tried to get her mother involved, but Catherine Hamilton-Kane was a woman of high morals and would not use her influence to fight dirty games. “That’s how corruption took seed,” she declared. And Gotham Academy, as a private school, was beyond her reach anyway. It still gave Allegra enough power to at least counter Erica and her mother, who was at best negligent and at worst co-operating with her daughter.
All in all, Marinette and Chloé settled into some form of routine. The school was much better than Françoise Dupont. It was bigger, which meant Lila had a harder time setting up her court. Erica’s power also suffered a major hit when the ‘outcasts’, as the blonde witch called them, took a bit more active role in the events going around. Claude, who was one of the lead actors in the theatre club made sure that no one aligned with Lila or Erica could join. Felix started to slowly push Erica from politics, engaging in subtle games at every front. Even Jon helped by taking over the school newspaper. The guy that was running it previously happily handed over the reins.
There were few minor dramas at school, like the Witch Club, haunting at the theatre, or the weird carnival. Damian and Marinette didn’t pay it much attention. Claude dealt with the ghost quite easily and met Katherine Karlo, who became his favorite actress ever since. Professor Trent was against including her, but when the usually cheery boy threatened him to quit and take over half of the crew, the discussion was over rather swiftly.
Of course, akumas didn’t make it easier. In fact, they were the biggest holdback. Whenever Chloé and Damian did something too drastic, Lila, Erica, or someone associated with them would become an akuma and then their work was in ruin. Every akuma on their side would earn them ‘pity points’ and serve as ammunition against the Waynes’ front.
The investigation proved fruitless. Sure, akumas could’ve been traced, but they actually made sure to never come from the same spot. Sometimes, it was a rundown building, other times a flat over a crowded restaurant; a hotel; a public toilet at the bus station. Adrien was moving and making sure not to fall for what got his father. They had no idea how he could be so stealthy. The cameras never saw anyone even similar to him at any of those places. Sabine was now running the rooftops as Shadowbat, not wanting the press to associate the Miraculous team with Batfamily too much for now. She had been using her old assassin suit (still fitting perfectly) with a bat logo on her chest as her outfit. She mostly just worked with Cass. Black Bat and Shadowbat. They were probably most feared of all dynamic duos in Gotham. Silent, ruthless, precise, undefeated.
Of course, peace couldn’t really last forever. About six weeks since Christmas, when Marinette’s birthday was closing in, the first real hiccup appeared.
--------------
Just before lunch, Marinette’s phone vibrated, as well as several other people’s in the class. When the bell rang, she went to check it. From past experience, she knew that mass messages to students were usually bad. It had Erica and Lila plastered all over it. It was a link to the tabloid article. It opened with a photo of Damian and Allegra, sitting in a coffee shop and drinking coffee. She only read a bit of the content, far enough to reach the first quote of GA student, before storming out. People were giving her pitying looks as she walked toward the cafeteria. She didn’t want to do anything rash until she spoke to Chloé and Allegra. That was a new kind of low for the Mean Girls front. They even dared to attach a message of fake condolences to Marinette.
Unknowingly, the Bluenette was channeling Damian the whole way, making people jump out of her path. Nobody ever saw the Angel (not that anyone would call her that within Damian’s hearing range, or where one of his multiple informants could inform him) so angry. Suddenly, everyone remembered how she took three football players in less than twenty seconds without getting more than a light bruise on her neck.
The cafeteria was completely silent the moment she entered. Everyone expected her to rage at Damian, who was waiting next to the doors to intercept her immediately. To their utter and infinite surprise, she instead grabbed his hand into hers and squeezed tightly. A small smile made its way on her face and Damian smirked too. Nobody (but the ‘outcasts’) had any idea what that was about. Didn’t he cheat on her recently, or for a long time?
The two walked past the baffled crowd toward where Allegra and Chloé sat, already waiting for them. There were no words exchanged between the four, but the two blondes nodded like it was a signal.
Marinette and Damian jumped onto the table in a synchronized show of grace and agility. Everyone stared at them.
“Hi!” Marinette smiled. Next to her, her boyfriend was glaring at certain people in the crowd. “First, I wanted to thank all of you who actually meant it when they gave me their condolences. You had good intentions, even if they were completely misplaced.”
“Tt. I did not cheat on my Habibti. Not with anyone, and especially not with my cousin!” Damian growled at the silent cafeteria. They didn’t dare to respond vocally, but some lowered their heads in shame. While the relation between Bruce Wayne and Mayor Kane was not that well-known, they didn’t hide the connection. “The first cousin once removed to be precise.”
“Point is, the article is full of fake news and we’ll be dealing with it later. Still, I appreciate your effort.” She smiled at those who weren’t angry. Then, her face turned to the cold mask and she channeled Damian. “Now onto those who mocked us or tried to use it to break me and Damian apart. It won’t work. Stop. Don’t. I can’t see any situation where we would break up, and even then, there is no chance either of us would lower ourselves to dating any of you. I trust Damian with my life. I’m his and he’s mine!” She declared.
“I’m hers and she’s mine.” Damian echoed. They raised their joint hands before turning to one another and sharing a quick kiss. Many people cooed at the romanticism of the scene.
Erica and Lila were on the verge of a stroke. This was harder than either anticipated and they were, in fact, slowly losing more than they gained.
A black butterfly entered through the window behind Marinette. As soon as she saw it, she acted without thinking and grabbed it. Everyone looked at her in panic. They saw the muscles in her forearm tighten and after a short moment a bit of some dark substance leaked through her fingers. When she opened her hand, the butterfly was turned into a gooey mess.
“Not today, Hawkass Junior.” She seethed. Then, she left to clean her hand with Allegra and Chloé following her. She rarely was left entirely alone, especially at school. As they walked, people gave her a loud applause.
--------
“Why did it not work!?” Adrien raged in his hideout. Next to him, Nooroo was floating with his head bowed.
“She… she touched it only with her skin. There was nothing to akumatize… master.” The little creature added, forced by the magic of the brooch.
“But why didn’t the akuma pass through her fingers!?” The hero-turned-villain seethed.
“She… She damaged it before it could…”
“I paid a handsome sum of money to have that article published! It was supposed to either break them up or give me my own Scarlet Moth!” Adrien stomped around his hideout. “Now it’s all for naught! I want their Miraculouses! I want my family back!”
Another figure walked from behind him and pulled him into a hug. In the darkness, the only visible details were her silhouette and a predatory smile on her face.
“Don’t worry. We will get what we want soon enough.”
“Did you decipher it?”
“Almost. There are several symbols on it that I have no idea what they mean.”
“Hm… I think I might have an akuma just for the occasion. It will require some setting-up though.”
“Don’t worry. I’ll deal with it. Meanwhile…” She said, her grin widening
“No. Get out of here, Witch.” He snapped.
“Spoilsport.” She muttered and walked away. Adrien felt anger bubbling inside him. Someone was so getting akumatized that day.

------
The first thing you notice when your eyes flutter open suddenly, is the splitting pain pulsing in the back of your head. Then it shifts to the aches that run down your thighs to your calves. You groan at the throbbing pain and lay there for a moment, getting ready to sit up both physically and mentally.
After you’ve prepared yourself to move, you sigh and try to sit up, however, you can’t. You suddenly felt the heavyweight wrapped around your torso. You pout in confusion, then look to see what’s responsible. The questions become endless once you see that it’s someone’s arm wrapped around you. You allow your eyes to trail up the arm all the way to the face that sleeps right behind you.
Gasping, you lightly jump at the surprise of seeing Chan’s face right next to yours. You’re about ready to shove him away until you notice that his eyes are still closed and he’s letting out soft snores. It’s obvious that he’s still asleep… But why is he asleep next to you? That’s the big question of the hour.
You purse your lips as you gently push his arm off of you. For a moment, he flinches and you cringe, thinking that you woke him up. Luckily for you, Chan’s still out cold. When you move next, you make sure you’re careful to not wake him. You quietly slip away from him and get up off the painfully hard ground.
You brush yourself off and look around the room, which definitely wasn’t the bedroom that you were expecting (thank god). Instead, you find yourself in the basement of the boy’s home. More questions arise.
It also happens that you aren’t alone in the basement. Besides Chan, Felix lays on the floor next to the stairs, curled up into a ball and fast asleep as well. Curious as to who else may be in there with you, you turn around and search the room. You find another sleeping body resting a few feet away. Gazing curiously at him, you finally recognize who it is. It’s neither Minho or Jisung that you suspected. It’s Hwang Hyunjin, someone you knew a lot about, but never spoken to.
Frowning, you wonder what he was doing here, or what any of you are doing down here in the basement. Blinking, you stare at all three of them in thought for a while. What did you do last night to end up here?
Then, like a dam breaking open, everything suddenly comes crashing back to you all at once. Everything from you arriving at Felix’s house, to Felix and co. trying to murder you, to Minho coming to your rescue and knocking Chan out with a rock because he was getting a little handsy. In an instant, your jaw drops wide open as you’re at a complete loss for words.
Your body starts to shake as you slowly take a few steps back. Keeping your gaze locked both on Chan and Hyunjin, you fail to remember that he’s set up by the stairs. Taking another step backwards, your shoe collides with a body. Your entire being jumps in fear and you accidentally let a squeak escape you.
Felix groans at the contact and moves his arm out to scratch his leg, where you just kicked him. “5 more minutes…” he grumbles, but his eyes remain closed, though. There’s a cute pout etched on his face as he settles back into his previous sleeping position. You sigh in relief and this time you’re careful watch where you’re going and maneuver around him.
Once you step over him, you go up the first few steps very stealthy. After going around the corner and out of sight from them, caution goes out the window and you break into a sprint upstairs. It’s not until you're halfway up the stairs that you begin to feel a stinging sensation going across your waist to your stomach. It burns, so it makes you look down to see the issue. Your shirt is a little torn up and within those tears, you can see the angry red scratches covering your stomach. They don’t look too deep, but they sure hurt like hell.
You don’t recall getting those marks last night. Then again, everything went by in a flash, so a few things are bound to be clouded from your memory. Besides the pain isn’t what is important at the moment. Right now you need to focus on getting away as far as possible from the sleeping maniacs before it’s too late.
Waving it off for now, you continue your way upstairs and reach the door. You hurry to it and swing it open, not caring if you wake up the whole neighborhood at this point. Then you dart straight for the front door that stands not too far, yet still miles away at the same time. You can’t get out the door fast enough.
Someone in the dining room is alerted by the noise. He stops what he’s doing and stares, “Y/n?” he questions as he watches you try to make a beeline out the door.
Nearly tripping over yourself, you promptly look over to find Minho walking towards you with concern and confusion written all over him. Then his gaze wanders over to where your hand is moving towards the knob of the front door. Quickly, he rushes over and puts himself between yourself and the sweet smell of fresh air that he’s denying you.
“You can’t leave yet,” he says while slowly taking your wrist in his hand to move it away from the knob.
Sorry, but did you hear correctly? “Why not?! Why are you standing around like everything is fine? Do you even remember what happened last night? We need to get out of here!” all the words come jumbling out of your mouth as fear and anxiety sit in your gut unpleasantly. Any moment something bad can happen, so why is Minho acting so strange?
After ranting, Minho simply places his hands on your shoulders, “Calm down. Sit,” he points towards the black dining room table in the next room over.
Your jaw drops. It continues to hang open, even as he directs you towards a chair to sit down on. “Calm down?” you ask incredulously.
“You want me to calm down after I saw Felix acting like a fucking… whatever that was!?” you repeat, “Not to mention the fact that Hwang Hyunjin is here too, for some reason, and he tried to eat me as a late night snack. But thank god Chan was there to save me, then act like a weirdo who creepily sniffs girls!” you exclaim, in complete disbelief at what Minho is telling you to do. Calming down is the last thing that’s on your mind.
Finally a moment of realization hits you as Minho pushes you along. You stop in your tracks and refuse to move any further. Instead you turn to face Minho and jab a finger into his chest, “I bet you are in on this!” you accuse, “That explains why you’re so calm about all this,” you gasp at the sudden revelation you came up with out of nowhere.
Minho stares down at you with a blank face, but it still holds some resemblance of emotion because it’s quite easy to tell he’s not pleased. You gulp at the daggering stare. “Sit. Down,” both words fall sharply off his tongue as his daggering gaze commands you to do as you're told.
Though he is your friend, you sometimes forget how threatening Minho can be. Without thinking, your body has a mind of its own as it walks to one of the dining chairs and makes you sit on it. You could curse your mind and body for betraying you like that, but then again, you can’t blame them.
Sighing in relief, he follows after you and takes a seat across from you. He folds his hands on the table. You look to him expectantly, but he remains silent for a second, seemingly thinking before he speaks.
“I know you must be really confused and scared-”
“Terrified,” you correct.
He gives you a look before continuing, “Yeah and that… It’s not really my place to tell you this,” he starts, “But at this point you deserve to know after all that shit you you went through…” he trails off, trying to find the best words to use to explain it all to you. It’s much more difficult than you think.
As he thinks, someone walks into the room from the hall over, “Hey did you even start making breakfast yet? I’m starving,” Jisung asks sleepily. His eyes are half closed as he walks in. His face is covered in marks that are bruises forming. His lips have a cut near the corner and he looks exhausted. It’s like he hardly got any rest last night. But who could after a night like that?
“Oh hey, Y/n,” he greets nonchalantly before looking to Minho for an answer. Then it comes to Jisung a moment later, “Wait, Y/n?!” he jumps when he realizes that you’re there, sitting peacefully at their table.
He’s sure you would have ran for the hills by now. Thankfully that’s not the case, or that would have been really bad. He’s just surprised that’s all. He wasn’t expecting to see you so soon. Awkwardly, you smile back to the flustered boy.
“I’m trying to explain everything to her right now,” Minho fills in for him.
Jisung’s brows furrow as he objects, “What? The boys will be mad… Especially Hyunjin since he’ll find a way to blame all of this on me,” he frowns.
Rolling his eyes, Minho argues, “Well I think she would rather hear the truth from the only two normal people here.” He scoffs. It shouldn’t be that hard to guess why it would be a good idea to have the other three try to explain it to you.
“Okay, but it’s not really our place to expose a secret as big as this,” Jisung counterpoints, even though Minho literally already told you that. He’s unsure about making a decision like this. The two of them never really dealt with a problem like this.
Sighing, Minho pinches the bridge of his nose. You watch as they argue back and forth about whether it’s okay for them to tell you or not. Another headache forms in your already throbbing head.
Being extremely tired, in pain, and pissed off wasn’t the greatest combination. Their voices faded into the background while you thought of everything at once. Flashes of memories from the previous night reminded you of how absolutely scared you were. You’ve never felt so… helpless before.
For most of your life you’ve never had a reason to feel that scared. The most fear you felt was when you did something bad and you knew you were going to be yelled at for it, or knowing fully well that you did horrendously on a test that you did not study for whatsoever. But never because you had to worry for your own life.
What scares you the most is the feeling of not knowing, though. It isn’t the burning pain dancing all along your body. It’s the confusion that weighed you down the most. Did Felix always act like that? Why now of all times? Is this your fault?
There’s so many questions bubbling in one mind. Eventually it comes bursting out. Sick of the two fighting over something so pointless, you raise your voice, “Well someone needs to tell me what the hell happened!”
At once, they’re mouths shut. They both stare at you, not expecting your sudden much needed outburst. They only blink at you as you huff out a heavy breath.
Leaning over the table, you stare at the two. Barely above a whisper, your voice is still deep and dangerous in warning, “I don’t care whether or not it is your place to tell me. I’m telling you that you need to explain to me why my best friend, your weird roommate, and pretty boy, acted like a bunch of horror movie rejects.” There’s no room for debate in your tone.
You’re so tired. Somehow you’ve become completely different from a few minutes ago. Before, you were frantic and desperate to leave as soon as possible, yet now you’re so done with everything. You’ve had time to process, only momentarily, but you had time. Now you need answers.
“Y-yes ma’am,” Jisung stutters, it’s clear that he’s far more worried about you exploding at him now rather than having Hyunjin get mad later. Minho mumbles about how he can’t believe that’s all it took to shut him up.
The older of the two then resumes his previous position of leaning closer to you with his hands folded. He licks his lips in preparation, “It might sound really ridiculous,” he warns, “But it’s not fiction, I promise. Sometimes there’s things-”
Rolling your eyes, you gesture for him to hurry, “There’s no need to sugarcoat it. Just tell me. Is it drugs? Some kind of hypnosis?” The list of assumptions and guesses could go on forever, but before you can question anymore, Minho opens his mouth.
“It’s werewolves”
Blinking once, then twice, you have to think if you actually heard him right. Once again, he beats you to the point, “Felix, Chan, and Hyunjin are werewolves. Last night was a full moon, so they were way more out of control than usual.” Even after he repeats and clarifies his preceding statement, you’re still not sure if you’re hard of hearing.
Looking away, Jisung stuffs his hands in his pockets while he kicks at the ground. The other waits for your response. The room is hushed as tension rises high. Such an… interesting explanation was bound to make some speechless.
By what you understand, Felix, your loveable friend, who acts like a pesky mosquito because he just “feels like it”, is a werewolf. Someone you have known for a few years, somehow managed to hide the fact that they’re a werewolf as well.
It starts off with a scoff. But soon that turns into quiet giggles. Minho and Jisung give each other a look. One holds annoyance while the other faces uncertainty. The giggling evolves into full blown hysterical laughter. Grabbing at your sides, you laugh harder and harder, even after the fact that both boys look at you like you’re a nutcase.
In your defense though, you can’t possibly believe they’re being truthful for one second. Like seriously? Werewolves? Out of all the things either one of them could choose to lie about, they chose werewolves. You do applaud them for using their amusing creativity.
It felt like you went on for minutes before you finally began to calm down. After devolving into chokes of laughter, you wipe away the tears that were slipping from your eyes. You glance over to the two, who were not laughing along with you.
You take a deep breath of air and chuckle midway through, “You are joking, right?” your eyes continue to flick between both of them, looking for any sign that this is some cruel prank.
Blankly, Minho shakes his head, “Nope”
Your jaw drops as you look to the other boy, “Jisung?” you question, hoping he will be kind enough to enlighten you.
Jisung huffs. He looks conflicted, “Believe it or not, you’ll find out soon enough,” he ominously answers, making you rethink that it’s a joke.
It’s impossible to believe them. And it’s impossible to think you would believe them. There’s no point in lying now. You’ve already seen enough, so why are they being so frustrating about this?
Minho squints his eyes to something past you. “Looks like soon, is now...” he mumbles quietly to himself. You can’t hear him, so you ask him to repeat himself. But instead he gives whatever he’s looking at a sheepish smile, “Good morning, boys,” he greets.
All at once, you can feel your entire being freeze. It only takes a few words to figure out who he’s greeting. Three sets of groggy footsteps approach the room. It’s impossible to turn around. Rather than moving, your body sits straight up as you look to Minho with wide eyes. All the feelings from before you somewhat calmed down, come tumbling back into you full force.
In the moment, both Minho and Jisung feel bad for you (one more than the other). Subtly, Minho unfolds his hands and carefully slides one across the table towards you. You look down at his snaking hand trying to offer its comfort. Instead, you return a frown. Somehow you were able to convey that it wasn’t the time and that you are mad at him now, because his hand retreats to his lap.
In the corner of your vision, you can see the outline of someone walking into the kitchen and past the counter. Daringly, you decide to look in the direction of them. Felix ignores your presence all together and darts straight for the refrigerator. He opens the door to the freezer and sticks his head in. Sighing happily at the cool contact, Felix enjoys remaining peacefully oblivious to you sitting at their table.
From behind you, a round of pained groans and groggy voices ring in your ears. Chan and Hyunjin follow shortly after, evidently muttering something to each other. The two of them step into the room and Hyunjin’s tired voice drowns out for some reason. Chan, like Felix, is unaware of you. Your head snaps away from Felix and opts to look down at your fidgeting hands sitting on the table.
“Hey, what time is it?” Chan’s raspy voice asks. He stretches as he tries to wake up from his horrible night of sleeping on the concrete floor.
Jisung holds a hand to his face and shakes his head in disappointment. On the other hand, Minho pointedly looks at Chan, hoping that he would see the elephant in the room. Lacking in the ability to understand, Chan cocks his head to the side. It takes a second to fully comprehend his surroundings.
Getting annoyed, Hyunjin rolls his eyes and elbows the older in the side and points harshly to you, the first thing he noticed when he walked in. A chill goes through you as you feel the many stares on you. It takes another moment before he realizes that there’s someone else in the room rather than his roommates. He sees your sitting body at his table, back facing him and visibly tense.
The uneasiness seeped into him the moment he laid eyes on you. Memories from the night before were vastly blurry. He can hardly remember anything, but seeing the tears in your clothing and the way you kept your head down, he could use common sense and put two and two together. Guilt found a way to drop in the pit of his stomach since he can practically hear you shivering from here.
He gulped as he waved for the one boy that remained ignorant, “Aye, Felix…” he trails off.
Felix sighs as he hears his name, “What…?” He doesn’t want to leave the refreshing cold air blasting his face. It felt too nice. All nice things come to an end, though, or at least when they’re ruined by Chan calling him again.
Groaning, this time a little more irritated, Felix pulls away from the freezer to lazily glance at the man that’s making it hard for him to relax. Like a teenager, Felix shrugs in exasperation, “What?” he repeats with a bit more attitude. He could hear the cool air from the freezer calling his name to come back.
Felix sees Hyunjin’s scowl first, then Chan’s eyes that keep flickering between him and somewhere else in the room. He follows his line of sight to the table. You can feel your heart pick up the second his gaze lands on you, even when you’re not looking at him. If you were watching, you would be able to see the way Felix’s eyes pop open like a cartoon. The color drains from his skin at the sight of you.
He opens his mouth, stammering to say something, yet nothing comes out. Opting to say nothing at all, Felix makes the hasty decision to turn his back to you and stick his head back into the freezer. You sneak a peek to see his reaction, but are disappointed to see that he isn’t even looking at you anymore. God, how can something be so awkward and terrifying at the same time?
Chan shakes his head at the cowardice of his younger friend. It’s clear that he would have to take matters into his own hands. Putting on a very fake smile, he perks up, “Morning, Y/n! Weird seeing you here,” his voice is so cheery, you totally can’t tell it isn’t real at all.
After he calls your name for the first time this morning, you can’t help but let your body go rigid. For a second, you look to Minho and Jisung for help. Luckily for you, they’re no help at all and only offer either a shrug or an expressionless face. Classic Minho and Jisung. You’re sure going to give them hell later.
Shakily, you turn in your seat to face the boys, giving them a nervous smile that wasn’t meant to be a smile. Seeing them now makes you look at them differently. They don’t have their fangs or glowing eyes anymore. Instead, they looked like they always had. But that doesn’t mean you can’t stop seeing the horror that they were.
Chan saw how hard you were trying to not to make a run for the door, and he couldn’t blame you. Even though he can’t recall much, he’s sure that nothing good happened. And he knows for a fact that he isn’t innocent either.
“H-hey,” you curse yourself for faltering like that.
Deciding to speak up at last, Hyunjin rolls his eyes, “It’s obvious she knows. Stop acting like she doesn’t,” he scoffs. He can’t be the only one with common sense.
Chan’s shoulders drop as his fake happy act does as well, and is replaced by awkwardness and nerves. Before anyone can say anything else, Jisung pipes up quickly, “Minho is the one who told her!” he points an accusing finger towards the boy in question. Minho is just as quick to give him a sharp glare back.
Suddenly your expression of fear turns into one of doubt, “No, what Minho told me is that made up crap about you being werewolves. Please, like anyone expects me to believe that” You take a turn eyeing up all three of them, “Werewolves? More like a bunch of drugged up lunatics…”
Knowing that the boys weren’t nearly as hostile and out of their mind as they were before, was relieving. You can be brave enough to talk to them, but you can’t be caught off guard yet.
For what felt like the hundredth time, the room became quiet. Hyunjin laughed in disbelief at your comment. You raise a brow at him, “Something funny?” you ask, but you snap to something more important, “What are you even doing here, Mr. Bigshot on Campus?”
Jisung was amazed how fast your moods can change. One you’re scared for your life, then the next your insulting each and everyone of them. It’s a talent, really. Hyunjin didn’t bother to answer your question, instead he scowls at you.
Quietly, Chan twiddles his thumbs together, “Well, Minho isn’t lying… We are werewolves,” he admits, looking you straight in the eyes afterward. As uncomfortable and tense he was for admitting such a big secret like that, he still wanted to be sincere. He needed you to know that he wasn’t lying.
“This isn’t funny anymore…” you tell them with a frown, “If you can’t tell me the truth, then I’m leaving,” you get up from the chair and begin to move. You can’t deal with them. If they don’t want to tell you, then fine. They’ll just have to handle the aftermath of you ignoring them from now on.
Minho calls out to you, “Y/n-”
“I don’t want to hear it,” you shut him up. He’s just as guilty as the rest of them.
Felix is frozen in place. He can’t face you, but hearing that you’re going to leave sends him into a panicked frenzy. You can’t leave, not when you still don’t believe them. If you leave, there’s a chance he could never see you again, and you’ll only know him as the monster that hurt you. Then again, if he does tell you, you might still look at him like that anyways. He can’t think straight.
Without much thought, Felix stops you in your tracks, “Wait, Y/n”
You face him, looking indifferent and ready to shut him up too. You don’t want to hear any more excuses. If you’re fortunate, you can leave this place in one piece and never talk to them again.
Conflicted, Felix looks to his other lunatic buddies. Hyunjin can’t be bothered to care about the pleading look Felix shoots at him. At least Chan is more caring and gives him a small reassuring nod.
At last Felix sighs and his shoulders drop in defeat. He never wanted to show you this side of him, but now he has no other choice. The only thing he says to you is, “I can prove it…” before his face completely morphs into something entirely different. Rather than seeing the freckled boy with chocolate eyes, who you care for too much, you see the same monster from last night that beat the shit out of Jisung and tried to do the same to you.
At the sight of his transformation, you jump back, nearly knocking over the chair behind you. “Oh!” you would’ve fallen over if it weren’t for Minho’s quick thinking to jump from his own seat and keep you up right. He holds your arm, but lets go just as quickly after you’re stable.
The hurt Felix felt when he saw your expression is unmeasurable. But he understands that he had to do it. He understands why you’re scared. He’s had the same feeling long ago too. He raises his hand into view, showing off his sharply cut claws, “Do you believe us now?” he hesitantly asks.
All eyes are on you once again, waiting for your response. Would you look at them differently, more than you already did? Would you expose their secrets? Would you run out of the house screaming “Wolf!”? Each one of them thought up a different scenario.
They were all wrong, though. In fact, your mind can barely think of what to do. All your thoughts were strewn around in a fiery hellscape. There’s too much information to process. Although you already saw this, you can’t understand why you didn’t believe them before. In some twisted way, it made sense. But you didn’t want it to make sense. You wanted it to be normal and rational. Perhaps the drug use scenario would have been better than this.
Your jaw slacked open, trying to form a proper sentence, but nothing seems to be coming out right. You stare down at your shoes for a moment, licking your lips in thought. Taking that moment to think your words through, you finally look up at them.
“Can I borrow your shower?” you ask, not noticing how your voice pitched up.
Being dumbfounded, is saying the least. The boys wondered if they heard you correctly, but they know they did. Jisung is the first to speak up, “Y/n are you serious?! You just saw… that!” he throws his hands up, referring to Felix’s woofed out face, “And you want to wash your hair?!”
You bit your lip as you realized that the request did sound a little ridiculous, but you needed to get to an escape. “I just need somewhere to think for a second,” you tell them, feeling shy all of a sudden.
Some of them were still in disbelief, while others could understand. Nevertheless, Felix is kind enough to be one of the few who understand, so he gives you permission. In an instant, your feet are moving and you're going upstairs to lock yourself in the bathroom. Once you’re safely inside, you lean back against the door and sigh heavily.
The only feeling in your mind that you can describe right now are three tiny words, “What the fuck”
You left in such a hurry that you couldn’t allow anyone else enough time to say anything. And you’re thankful for that. You don’t know what other kind of talking you can handle right now.
You stood there for a few minutes, trying to catch your breath and calm yourself down. After you settle down, you push yourself off the door and go straight for the shower. However, passing by the mirror made you backtrack once you caught your reflection.
“Wow I look like shit,” you mumble to yourself, observing your dirt covered face. Not only that, but your hair was sticking up in every direction, and frankly, you’re surprised Minho didn’t make fun of the new look. And worst of all, your clothes appear unrecoverable with all the grim and rips covering you.
You run a hand through your mess of a hair and pout, deciding at last to start the shower. Once the water heat ups, you slip out of your nasty clothes and step into the hot inviting shower. You immediately put your head under the and relax under the warm water cascading down your body. Head empty, no thoughts. You only felt the comfort from the only normal thing you have had today.
What did you exactly get yourself into? Is the last thing to pass through your mind before you succumb to the pleasures of taking a hot shower.

You yawned walking into your house in the middle of the night. You just finished up another 24hr shift at the hospital. You hated staying there overnight, but sometimes it couldn’t be helped. Your patient was recovering well after the surgery and that was all that mattered. You stretched your arms above your head, feeling your stiff back crack. You were so eager to sleep, you took a shower at work, and changed into your pajamas there. So all you had to do when you got home was make it to your bed.
Toeing your shoes off in the foyer you made your way into the living room. Setting your overnight bag down on the coffee table you gently shook Felix awake. “Hey, thanks for watching Minseo.”
He yawned sleepily, sitting up on the couch. “Mm Hey” he rubbed the sleep from his eyes. “Channie-Hyung got home a little while ago too”
“He got back from his trip early?” You gave Felix a pat on his back. “Go sleep in the guest room, it’s late”
“You don’t gotta ask me twice” he stood up, rubbing the crook in his neck from falling asleep on the couch. “G’night” he waved before disappearing into your downstairs guest room.
Absently you cleaned up the snacks and toys, evident of Felix and Minseo’s long night of playing. Once the living room was reorganized you padded upstairs, stopping by Minseo’s room first.
A soft smile graced your face seeing your husband, cuddled in Minseo’s bed, his arm wrapped around her tiny frame as he read her another story sleepily. You could tell he was exhausted, but even in that state, he read the stories so animatedly. Using his different voices and grand gestures. Leaning against the door frame, you couldn’t help but watch them fondly. As he finished the book he looked down at his daughter, the little pout still on her lips, despite loving the story.
“You want another story?” he asked, ruffling her hair. “You’re pouting, how are you feeling?”
“I’m sad” Her pout deepened looking up at him. “When’s mom coming home?”
He smiled, kissing the top of her curly hair. “I’m sorry Baby, you know she has to work. Any time she’s not here she’s saving lives. It’s very important.”
Minseo crossed her arms over her chest. “I know… But I still miss her”
“You sleep better when she’s here don’t you?”
She nodded “I don’t like when you guys aren’t home...Uncle Felix is fun too, but...I like knowing you’re here…” she huffed. “What if I have a nightmare and you’re not home?”
“Aww… Baby” Chan pulled her into his chest, hugging her tight. “I’m sorry...I’ll try to make sure at least one of us is home next time.” Working late nights was pretty normal for him, but occasionally he had to go on weekend trips, and it just so happened that this one overlapped with one of your overnight shifts. “I can’t promise that it’ll never happen again, but we’re gonna try”
“Ok… pinky promise?” she held out her pink, letting him wrap his around it and pressing their thumbs together. “I understand...I just miss Mom..”
“I miss her too…” he whispered softly.
Watching them always warmed your heart. You loved everything about your daughter, but when you especially loved was how she was able to communicate when she was unhappy. And You know it’s because Chan always valued communication. “I’m home” you finally chimed, from the doorway. You almost broke out into a laugh at how Chan and Minseo looked at you. Their heads in perfect sync as they looked at the door.
“You’re home!” Minseo gave you the brightest smile, her cheek dimpling.
“I am” you grinned pressing a kiss to her forehead. “Can anyone tell me why my whole family is awake in the middle of the night?”
“I couldn’t sleep until you got home” Minseo patted the tiny bit of space in her bed. “Sit”
You laughed squeezing into a twin bed with her, it was a tight and cozy fit but the three of you managed. Was her princess styled bedframe digging into your side? Quite possibly but it worked. Minseo practically on your lap as you cuddled at her and let Chan pick another storybook. He leaned over giving you a little peck on the lips, his gaze lingering a little too long; Making you feel shy. “Welcome home” he whispered before pulling away to display the book.
As he read the fourth storybook of the night he had to hold back his laugh when he finally looked back at the two of you seeing you both sound asleep. He quietly got out of bed and adjusted the two of you into the middle of the bed, trying not to disturb you.
He smiled seeing Minseo hug her stuffed Kangaroo toy his parent’s bought for her. Her face buried into the plushie, while you had your arms securely around Minseo. He snapped a photo, knowing this was going to be his new background image on everything.
Chan took a quick shower before throwing on a pair of sweats and a t-shirt. He was working on some lyrics for a client when he looked up and saw you make your way into your shared bedroom.
You padded into the bedroom. “I woke up and you weren’t there”
He laughed, opening the blanket, letting you crawl into bed with him. “Ah, is that where Minseo gets it from?”
“Maybe” you mumbled sleepily. Wrapping your arms around his waist, you placed your chin on his chest. “I missed you”
“I missed you too” he pulled you in for a much deeper kiss this time. His tongue, flicking against the top of your mouth, enticing a little whimper.
Pulling away, you gazed at him with the dreamiest look on your face. “How come you didn’t tell me you got back from your trip early?”
“It just sorta happened. As soon as I could I just made it straight home and then I got wrapped up with Minseo. I was gonna text as soon as I put her to bed.” he chuckled “As you saw, It took longer than I planned”
“You’re so good to her, seriously you’re incredible” your fingers absently played with the collar of his shirt.
“I try, I’m still learning” he grabbed your hand, placing a kiss on it. Being that this was the first time that he’s really touched you for two days. “I’d like to think I’m good to both my girls” he grabbed your chin, making you look up at him. “Aren’t I?”
“Well I’m wide awake right now, how are you gonna put me to bed?” you giggled. “You want me to grab you a storybook?”
“I have a few other ideas” he laughed, rolling you onto your back and pinning you to the bed with his hips. The tiniest of growls, echoed from his throat as he nipped at your lower lip. That playful glint in his eyes turning into something much more mischievous. “You’re gonna have to be very quiet for me Baby…” he whispered huskily, his strong hand caressing your cheek before spanning gently over your neck. He winked before disappearing under the blanket.
End.
Thank you all for being so patient with me, I’ve had like the opposite of writer’s block lately and I’ve had a ton of ideas. But because of that, I’ve been writing a bunch of stories and not finishing any of them lol so I’m super happy I was able to pump out this fluffy, domestic chapter..

day 8: abandoned
prompt from: whumptober pairing: felix x ace notes: just pure angst. i’m sorry ;w; warnings: alcoholism, implied depression, implied child neglect word count: 1180
Escaping the Entity should have meant they’d finally be happy.
And they were, at the start. Felix remembers the relief of being free from the oppressive fog, the smile on Ace’s face when they saw the sun for the first time in years, and the happiness in his chest when Ace agreed to come with him to Germany.
It didn’t take long for things to go wrong.
Felix tried his best to go back to living a normal life, but it proved too much for him. The deathmatches of the realm had been easy to understand, one-dimensional choices where the wrong one meant near-instant death.
After that, how was he supposed to navigate the intricacies of human society? He’d promised himself he would start his life anew, dropping his fake persona to pursue his genuine passions in life, but it was so much more convenient to slip right back into a familiar suit and mingle with old connections.
He did his best to ignore the pangs of guilt when meetings and formal dinners ran long, especially when his daughter was visiting. Ace brought it up, saying the girl was more familiar with her nanny than her own father, and Felix assured him it was “just until this project is over”.
He was lying, and they both knew it.
To his credit, Ace withstood his lies and bullshit excuses for an entire year.
Felix wasn’t surprised when he eventually exploded. Harsh words were freely flowing out, claiming he never wanted this life, being stuck in a country he barely knew the language of and withering away in an empty mansion. That he never wanted to have kids but was willing to give it a shot because he loved Felix, but he wasn’t about to put in effort where there was none to be had in return.
“We didn’t survive years of torture for this!” Ace insisted, and looking at his distressed face Felix realized he couldn’t remember when he’d last seen him smile. “This isn’t me, and I know it’s not you, either.”
Felix wanted to believe him, and in a moment of clarity, dropped his expensive suitcase with its expensive contents to the marble floor and pulled Ace into his arms, promising he’d find a way to make it better.
And then he did the worst thing he could have possibly done.
After a week of absolutely nothing changing, he’d chosen the lazy way out and bought a ten thousand euro watch to hopefully calm his partner down and maybe even get him to smile.
He didn’t think he’d ever seen Ace look as offended as when he presented the gift to him.
“Are you fucking kidding me?” his boyfriend spat.
“It’s the newest—”
“I don’t care!” Ace yelled, animatedly gesturing with his hands as if trying to explain to a complete idiot. “I want you, not the shit you can give me!”
And then, Felix said the worst thing he could have possibly responded with.
“Don’t pretend like my background isn’t why you chose to come with me.”
The look of pure hurt flashing across Ace’s features let him know just how much he’d fucked up.
“After all this time, that’s how you see me,” his lover said quietly, like he couldn’t believe what he was hearing. When Felix didn’t respond, not knowing how to respond, Ace walked away.
And when Felix woke up the next day, all traces of Ace were gone, only the cold emptiness of the family estate to keep him company.
That’s when he hit the bottle.
He doesn’t remember how many days he spent locked up in his study, drinking his father’s collection of rare whiskeys like it was cheap wine, bottle upon bottle to dull out the pain of losing one of the few things that were real in his miserable life of lies.
The maids and nannies came by, and he remembers his daughter’s laughter gradually turning to a worried whimper as the nanny carried her away and told her to “let daddy work”, closing the study door and leaving Felix to wallow in his misery.
And then there was the lawsuit, his ex wanting to get full custody after his daughter told her “papa just drinks juice and acts like a zombie”. Felix hired the best lawyer money could buy and used the opportunity of his daughter not being around for the duration of the case to get even more drunk than before.
He didn’t show up to court and was appalled when his butler informed him that he’d lost the case, because his lawyer had just called for the fourteenth time and “sir, you should really answer your phone and mail”.
He’d had his phone turned off for at least a month at this point, and his email hadn’t been opened in weeks. Felix managed to sit down and glance at his overflowing inbox for a whole minute before feeling like he was going to throw up, angry red exclamation marks and even angrier clients demanding his attention.
He’d slammed the laptop shut and went to sleep off his hangover.
It wasn’t long until Lauren, his business partner, showed up on his doorstep and announced she was buying him out of the company. She was looking even more stressed than usual, dark circles under her eyes from no doubt having to cover for Felix’s work after he dropped off the radar.
She never did spare anyone’s feelings and he always admired that about her, calling him out as the useless piece of shit he knew that he was. But when her expression softened and she urged him to seek help, Felix wished her a good day before slamming the door in her face.
Now left with nothing but the empty mansion that has never felt like a home and a family name that meant nothing, Felix couldn’t help the feeling of rightness spreading through him. He’d always known he was a fraud, a failure of a human being that didn’t deserve any of his success or popularity, and now it was finally proven to him.
He’d been a shitty boyfriend, a lousy father, and a failure of an architect. No wonder everyone had abandoned him.
In a moment of weakness, he sat himself on his daughter’s untouched bed and held his phone in his hand, staring at Ace’s contact. Maybe he could still make it right; now he didn’t have anything to distract him, and wasn’t that was Ace had wanted?
He hovered over the call button, but hesitated. Maybe Ace had changed his number, going back to his old ways of scamming and committing petty crimes, living a meaningless life—
Felix dropped the phone on the floor and buried his face into his hands in disgust, pulling on his own hair in frustration. Even after losing everything he ever cared about to his selfish decisions, his ego still insisted that he was better than everyone else.
And that’s when he decided the best thing he could do for his loved ones was to never contact them again.

Play Stupid Games...
Fandom: Fire Emblem Three Houses
Rating: G
Characters: Sylvain/F!Byleth
Read it on AO3
He’d gone to bed alone for once, ignoring Felix’s dour stare and slipping into his room, decidedly not slamming his door behind him. Sylvain could admit to himself – and only to himself, in the privacy of his own room – that he’d messed up with the professor. And he’d messed up badly.
This was worse than the first time the professor had caught him mid-break-up with a town girl. At least then he’d only made a fool of himself by blatantly flirting with her, meaningless as it may have been. She was more than nice to look at, he had to admit, and it was worth a shot even if he knew it would go nowhere.
This, though… this was just… bad.
His mask had slipped. It was difficult to keep it up, but it was even harder to do around the professor. Something about her made him want to relax, and in that moment of honesty… he’d panicked.
Sylvain strongly doubted that she took it as a joke, even if he’d claimed it was. They both knew he’d been serious.
Groaning, he put his head in his hands and flopped on the bed.
He didn’t bother to get up or uncover his face when he heard the door crack open; there was only one person awake at this hour who would even bother.
“You’re an idiot, I hope you know that. Pull yourself together.”
Sylvain peeked through his fingers in time to see a dark head of hair turning away, closing the door behind him with a soft click.
Shit. Had Felix overheard his conversation with the professor? That was doubly bad.
Sure, he was jealous of the professor. Growing up as a mercenary, protected by the Blade Breaker, living life away from the church and nobility – all while having one of the most powerful Crests in existence! – and not having to worry about the sheer politics involved with it… she was lucky. And he was jealous of that luck.
Jealous because the Crest system had made his brother despise him. It had ended with him having to kill his own kin. It meant growing up being told how he had to choose wisely in order to pass on the Crest to a worthy heir.
And… a part of him really did mean it when he’d said he would make her pay. Collect on that debt. But another part…
Another part was calling him worse names than Felix ever did, because despite himself, he liked the professor. He admired her, even. Sylvain flopped onto his side, staring at the wall and really thinking about what he’d said, what he’d done… why he cared.
The professor had a solid tactical mind. Her refusal to use the Sword of the Creator unless absolutely necessarily was beyond admirable; she refused to rely on her Crest or the (dubious) perks that came with it. Her swordsmanship was excellent – he’d heard Felix attest to that on numerous occasions – and even her magic was solid, though he doubted she’d ever be – or want to be – as proficient as, say, Lysithea or Annette or even Dorothea.
She liked tea, played board games, was an overall amazing instructor, even so far as going out of her way to learning other styles of combat in order to better teach her own students. She didn’t mind going out of her way to returning lost items to her students; even Sylvain had found himself the recipient of such treatment, though he had to wonder, sometimes, how she’d known when an item was his.
And lately, he’d gotten better at reading her micro-expressions. Maybe it was because of being friends with Felix; you just had to learn to read the subtext, but with her, it wasn’t so much what she didn’t say, it was her eyes, the subtlest quirk of her lips when she smiled, the slightest tightening that was her frown.
Sylvain had come to value her smiles, rare as they might be, and today all he’d done was earn not just that frown, but a disapproving stare, and the narrowing of her eyes that he knew meant trouble.
He grabbed his pillow and pressed it against his face, releasing another long groan of annoyance with himself.
And the worst part was… he knew he wasn’t going to be able to suck it up and apologize. He’d just have to continue the charade he’d started.
No one could possibly have predicted the events that happened next.
In the wake of Jeralt’s death, the professor’s quest for revenge against Monica – or Kronya or whatever her name really was – and the girl’s sacrifice by Solon, sealing the professor in darkness only for her to cut through the sky and step out a changed woman (literally), there was no time to really apologize even if he hadn’t been so bent on sucking it up and playing the philandering asshole he’d been for so long already.
Then had come the disaster in the mausoleum, Edelgard’s betrayal, and… war.
He found himself at the professor’s door two days before the Imperial troops were set to arrive, a board game tucked under one arm and a pouch of tea in hand. Sylvain drew a breath, wondering to himself why he was even here, and knocked.
The door opened a crack, then widened when she saw who it was. “Hello Sylvain. Is something wrong?”
“Ah… no, Professor, not… not exactly. Are you free? I brought tea,” he said, lifting the pouch, “and a game.”
Her vibrant green eyes (he was still getting used to those) flickered down to see the game tucked under his arm. “Sure,” she finally said, opening the door fully and stepping aside to let him in. Her room was less than immaculate, which was a bit of a shock. Papers were strewn about the desk, map figures knocked over or placed haphazardly.
It was in complete disarray, and he knew he was right to come, despite his own misgivings. Was she nervous? It was almost too unreal to believe.
“May I?” he asked, gesturing at the little table in the corner. At her nod, he set the game on it and moved the entire thing to the middle of the room, somewhere between her bed and her desk, giving her the option of where to sit.
She’d already pulled out her tea set, setting out cups and saucers on the table once he’d put it into position. The professor even pulled out a small box of shortbreads she must have had tucked away, adding that to the growing collection of items on the little table.
Sylvain poured water from a pitcher into a kettle, heating it with a touch of magic before pouring hot water and tea into the teapot to steep.
The professor had chosen… the desk chair, to his surprise, which left him the only other seat available in the room: her bed. He swallowed a lump in his throat and settled down onto it, angling himself so that his long legs wouldn’t disturb the table between them.
The door, of course, remained open. No doubt a requirement by Seteth, but Sylvain was glad for it for once.
They set up the game in silence while the tea steeped, the professor arranging the board just so. Nervous fidgeting, he guessed, watching her tweak the board into position. He let the silence drag on for a while longer, carefully setting the pieces up.
Perhaps King’s Table wasn’t the best choice of games, all things considered, but he liked games of strategy, and the professor seemed to enjoy them as well. And this way, she could still strategize and hopefully relax a little all the same.
Why do you care? came the voice inside his head. He didn’t have an answer to that.
“King or attackers?” he said instead, gesturing to the board once it was set up.
“Attackers,” was the prompt reply. Sylvain was surprised, actually; she usually took up the more defensive position of the king. But he nodded and settled in for the game, pouring the tea for the both of them when it was ready.
They stuck to lighter topics, for the most part. Places they’d visited or wanted to, sweets they enjoyed, jokes they’d overheard. The professor’s sense of humor had surprised him, once, having been convinced she didn’t have one at all. The fact that it was somewhere between dry and bawdy had frankly been the most startling to him, but once he considered her mercenary background, it made a lot more sense.
She was relaying a tale from her days with her father’s mercenary band when she suddenly stopped, shooting him a puzzled look, her brows furrowing rather adorably. “Sylvain, are you okay?”
He blinked, then flushed when he realized he’d been staring. “Ah, yeah, sorry… you were saying about the horse?”
Her eyes narrowed slightly, as if gauging him, before she launched back into the tale, pausing only briefly to move one of her pieces on the board.
He glanced down as she finished her story, too shocked to register its end, though he knew it was amusing. He would have laughed, even, had he not seen that her finger rested on top of the king piece. When she knew she had his attention, she very carefully knocked it over.
He’d been surrounded and hadn’t even noticed.
“Sylvain, I don’t know what’s wrong with you, but I need your head in the game. I… I’m counting on you.”
He dragged his eyes back up to hers, clearly shocked at the admission. “Why?” She tilted her head, questioning. “Why me? I’ve done nothing but antagonize you all this time. Why would you count on me for… anything?”
The professor began to straighten the board, putting the pieces back into their starting positions, while she considered his question. After what seemed like an agonizing amount of time – though he knew it was only a few seconds – she spoke. “You try to hide it from the others behind this façade of yours, playing the fool, but every time we have tea, you play board games with me. Not easy games, either; you always bring something that requires serious thought, strategy, technique. You’ve even beaten me on numerous occasions.”
She toyed with her teacup, her thumb stroking along the handle absently as she thought of what to say next. “You – despite all your efforts to show otherwise – are one of the best tactical minds I have available. I think the only person who beats you, really, is Claude, and that’s just from how willing he is to play dirty.” A pause and then she sighed. “Okay, maybe Yuri as well, but for the same reasons. The point is, Sylvain, I need you. I need you to have your head on right for what’s to come, because I’m counting on you.”
The professor stood then, pacing around the little space in the back of her room. “Yuri has his orders; he’s preparing escape routes in Abyss for us, just in case we need them.” That drew a frown from Sylvain; it was the first he’d heard of that kind of contingency which meant…
“And Claude’s schemes can only get us so far.” She was worried. More worried than he’d thought.
“Professor…” She stopped her pacing and turned to face him. “I get it. I really do.” He gestured at the seat across from him. “Your tea is getting cold. We’ve got time for another round, don’t you think? Attack again. I think I know where I went wrong.”
This time, he paid more careful attention, knowing that this was, in a sense, another way for her to impart a lesson on him. She’d chosen to be the attacker for a reason, and he’d realized that too late.
She was counting on him to keep their people safe when Edelgard’s army attacked.
The thought sank into his gut, leaving him with a feeling of unease for the battle to come.
“Sylvain, find Claude! He knows the way to Yuri. Get everyone to safety!” It was the last thing the professor had said to him before she’d run off, sleeves flapping in the wind, sword glinting in the light as she cut down foe after foe, headed toward something that shouldn’t have been possible.
He did as she’d asked, herding his classmates, his friends, after Claude, lingering just long enough to see her fall. His heart clenched, a pang of grief he hadn’t expected, but he tamped it down. She was counting on him, after all, and he would not let her down.

shweeeeet see u then
As soon as i see that text, i put my phone down and change out of some comfy clothes and change into shorts and a cropped tee.  I should probably bring a hoodie but i know Changbin has a few in his car.  I swear that man has a whole closet in his car.  I put on a pair of slip on shoes so that way i can take them off when I’m at the beach.  As I’m putting on shoes i see Changbin’s car pull into my driveway.  After grabbing my house keys and purse I head down the driveway to get into the car where Felix and Han are in the backseat giving me the front seat.
“Glad you gave up your hot date with ice cream to hangout with us tonight” Changbin says as he heads down the road to get to the beach.
“You know i was gonna finish Avatar tonight and cry over my love for zuko but NOOOOOOO i’m gonna become a babysitter for 9 kids as they throw each other in the ocean” i say with the slightest bit of sarcasm
“Oh c’mon Y/N, the ending of avatar can wait. theres supposed to be a comet tonight!!!!” Felix chirps from the backseat
“Yeah Y/N the sky is supposed to be clear and we’ll be able to see it pass by, you wont be able to see it for another 100 years!” Han chimes in.
“They’re right Y/N, it’s a perfect night to watch it.  When will you ever be able to say you’ve seen a comet pass by in your lifetime?” Changbin adds to the conversation.
“I’m pretty sure I saw a comet that time where we were all star gazing on Minho’s roof last summer” i say to them as changbin pulls into the beach parking lot.
“Y/N i hate to break it to you, but that was an airplane.” Han says while Felix giggles.
I turn back at the giggling fools and give them a glare.
“I SHALL STAND BY THE FACT THAT IT WAS A COMET YOU TWO” i say back to the boys as Changbin puts the car into park.
We meet up with the rest of the boys who are currently setting up a makeshift fire pit and setting out some foldable chairs, thats when i realize theres 9 chairs but 10 people.  Guess I will have to sit in the sand.  I don’t worry about it too much when i see Chan currently chasing Seungmin with a dead jellyfish on a stick trying to poke him.  We haven’t been here a total of 5 minutes and there’s already chaos.

After an hour or two of the boys running around in the sand, throwing each other in the water, and a quite competitive game of tag, the sun starts to turn the sky the most beautiful shades of orange and red.  Chan runs to his car to grab a speaker and Hyunjin starts a fire.  Pretty soon the boys gather around the fire when Jeongin says
“Guys theres only 9 chairs and 10 of us...”
“I’ll just sit on the sand.” I say as I get ready to sit in the sand.
“Y/N, just sit on my lap” Changbin says quietly as you didn’t hear him walk up behind you
“Nono Binnie it’s fine I-”
“No excuses, now come on” he says as he drags me with my hand in his.
While I’m sure no one saw that encounter, I’m pretty sure they see the huge blush that has crept across my face.  Sure I’ve sat on changbins lap before, we do it when theres movie night at Woojins place.  It’s nothing new between us but my feelings for Changbin push through my mind and soon enough, I’m sitting on his lap trying to make myself comfy on his thighs.  Changbin casually snakes his hands across my waist and i suddenly freeze up.  Well thats new, he normally never does that. I try to relax my body and for some reason, it feels natural.  I suddenly feel safe in his arms.
“Does anyone know when this whole comet thing will come??” Minho says as the music plays in the background.
“According to my phone, it says that we’ll be able to see it pass through around 10 or so.” Felix says as he looks it up on his phone.
“Well since we have time to kill, how about a friendly game of truth or dare?” Hyunjin adds to the conversation.
the group and I nod our heads in agreement as the game of truth or dare starts.
“Seungmin, Truth or dare?” Hyunjin starts off.
“Dare” Seungmin says non chalantly.
“I dare you to run into the ocean with your shoes on” hyunjin says while everyone giggles
“Really? I just bought these shoes ughhhhh” Seungmin sighs as he gets up from his chair and runs towards the water
“I hate this i hate this i hate this” he says as everyone by the fire laughs hysterically
Once he returns back to the shore where the fire pit is, he takes off his shoes and sits down with a huff.
“alright lets see, Y/N truth or dare?” He says as his eyes direct towards me and changbin.
I’m not one to play these games so i decided to play it safe
“Truth” i say
“BOOORRRRRINGGGGGGG” Han says from the other side of the fire
“Hmm, when was the last time you kissed a boy?” he says and the group falls silent
Shit, when was the last time i kissed someone? well besides my cat Lucifer i don’t think i’ve ever kissed anyone? Do I lie and say last week? or do I tell the truth and say no one?
“uhhh never” I say in a quiet voice as everyone eyes are glued to me still.  I can feel Changbins gaze on me as he tenses up a little bit, squeezing his arms a little tighter around me
“You really haven’t kissed anyone? Not even that kid you were seeing last semester?” Changbin whispers into my ear
“No we went on two dates and he was a total square and was really boring, he never initiated anything anyways” I say back
“Alrighty Y/N, you can ask a truth or dare or have someone else pick” Seungmin says as he waits for my response
“uhm, Changbin can pick who goes next” I say as I look down at the sand, my feet becoming more interesting
“Can I dare myself?” Changbin says as the group shares a puzzled look with eachother. It’s quiet for a moment before Chan says
“I mean it’s not a rule that you can’t do it but I guess go ahead buddy”
“Alright, I dare myself that I go on a walk with Y/N for a bit. You guys can keep playing” he says and I perk my head up and turn around facing him, giving him a puzzled look.
“Why would you wanna dare yourself to do something so casual?” I say as I get up off of his lap. My waist feeling empty as I grew used to having Changbins arms wrapped around me
“It was beginning to get boring anyways, plus my leg fell asleep from you sitting on it” he chuckles
As we two walk away from the guys who are giggling and laughing, their voices become faint as all I hear are the waves crashing along the shore. It’s peaceful, it’s quiet, and it’s just Changbin and I.
It’s silent for a few minutes before Changbin exhales and stops for a moment to look at the water and the stars up in the sky.
“How come you never told me you haven’t kissed anyone? Cmon Y/N we’ve been friends for years. We tell eachother everything” Changbin says and I look over at the water avoiding his eye contact
“I just didn’t think it was that big of a deal. How lame is it that I haven’t even had my first kiss and my younger sister has for gods sake? I sound like a loser saying it. It’s easy for you to say, I bet you boast to the boys on how many girls fling themselves at you.” I say with a hint of jealousy at the end.
“I don’t think it’s lame y/n, you’re just saving yourself for someone special. And no I do not brag to the boys about “all the girls I get” when in reality I have a different girl in mind.” He says as he goes and steps in front of me. Faces inches away from each other.
I take a few steps back to get some space between us. He’s acting different. It seems like this girl is really sweet from the sounds of it. I try not to act jealous when I start to ask about her
“Who’s this special girl in mind huh? How come you never brought this up to me? Do I approve of her?” I start to spit fire questions at Changbin before he starts talking again.
“I’ve never brought it up to you because I don’t want to ruin anything that I already have with her. I’ve been so nervous to fully confess my feelings because there’s that thought in the back of my mind that maybe she doesn’t like me back.” Changbin rambles when you cut him off
“Why don’t you man up and do it already? I mean the worst thing she could say is no right? Who knows, maybe she does like you back.” I say and Changbin blurts out
“I like you a lot y/n, like a lot a lot”
Holy shit
Seo Changbin, my best friend of 11 years
Just confessed
That he likes me????
“I- I- really? You’re kidding right? Changbin don’t play with my feelings-“ I say before he cuts me off
“Y/n I’m serious, I’ve liked you for a long time and I didn’t know how you would feel, but I know it was stupid of me to confess you know? I probably ruined everything and now our friendship is ruined and nothing will ever be the same again and I-“ before he rambles himself into oblivion i cut him off.
“The feelings mutual binnie, I’ve liked you for god knows how long” i say as he looks up at me.
“I’ve liked you since that day when I jumped off the jungle gym in 3rd grade and you helped me to the nurses office. I’ve always had those feelings for you but I always pushed them back in my head because who knows how you would feel right? So whenever you went and saw other girls it made me the slightest bit jealous. Always wondering if that could be us someday. So then I went on dates with guys but nothing lasted for more than one date. They weren’t you Changbin. It was always you” I say so fast i almost run out of breath
We look at eachother for a few moments before Changbin wraps one of his arms around my waist, taking his other and tucking a few strands of loose hair behind my ear. We look at each other for a few moments as my hands snake up around his neck, definitely a feeling I could get used too. His eyes go from my eyes, down to my lips, then back up to my eyes.
“Since you never had your first kiss, may I?” Changbin says as he’s looking at me like I’m the finest piece of art in the world. Taking in everyone of my features.
“I’d thought you’d never ask” I say with a grin.
He closes the distance between us and both of our eyes close. His lips are warm and soft. Although I’ve never kissed anyone before I start to follow his lead and mirror what he’s doing. It’s a slow and adoring kiss. Not anything fast or sensual. We take our time to see how our lips mold into one another. We break away for a few moments and Changbin puts his forehead on mine.
“You know for not kissing anyone, it seems like you knew what you were doing” he says with a childish grin
“Eh from all the rom coms I’ve watched I feel like I had a good grasp of what I was doing” I say back before he kisses me again.
I kiss him as if he’s going to disappear from me, pretty soon he has both of his hands around my waist, squeezing my sides earning a quiet yelp from me.  We break away the kiss again and i see him look up in the sky.
“Y/n there it is!!! It’s the comet” he says as he turns me around, hugging me from behind. His chin rests gently on my shoulder as we look at the comet pass by.
“I don’t think I’ve seen anything more jaw dropping than this before” I say as i look closely at the comet passing by.
“Oh trust me princess, this comet is pretty. but nothing will compare to you” he says as he pecks my neck with kisses.
“We should probably go back before the guys round up a search party for us.” i say while leaving his touch and grab his hand, heading back to the crazy bunch of boys.
Once we make our way back to the gang they look at us with questioning looks, we’re both smiling like idiots and our hands are intertwined.
“What took you guys so long??? You missed the comet, you should’ve seen it!” Jeongin says
“Do i even wanna know what happened?” Chan says, raising a brow at us.
“Don’t worry guys, we stopped and saw the comet too. Nothing crazy happened.” Changbin says with a sheepish grin and I start giggling
“Did you two confess to one another yet? I’ve been waiting for this.” Hyunjin says as the boys nod their heads in agreement.
“Yeah Bin, did you finally grow a set and confess? I was getting sick of the late night texts saying “ooooo im in L word my guy” “bro she looks so good today”- UGH” Han continues to ramble while Felix elbows him in the gut.
Changbin and I look at each other and start laughing, he leans down and pecks me on the lips. Earning a few “awws” and an “ew” from Jeongin.
“Does that answer everyones questions?”  Changbin says as we sit back down by the fire.
We sit back down and start chatting at the fire, talking about the comet and small talk in between. For the first time in my life, I feel content with everything. Content with these 8 crazy boys I can call my friends. And Changbin, everything feels so right finally. It feels like all the puzzle pieces have been put together
Changbin was my missing puzzle piece.
And now the puzzle is complete.

"OH MY GOD!!!"
"what the hell happened now?!" hyunjin thought as he had just been woken up by minnie's screams. "did i really sleep till the next morning!" "did she just wake me up for t- i'm sorry but i did not sign up for this." hyunjin was annoyed. he didn't sleep well yesterday since he kept checking on minnie to see if she was okay during the night. "at least i have enough time to get ready and get to work. i'll get you some snacks on my way home although i think minho gave us enough for a full month." minnie told hyunjin while making her bed. "minho... i liked that one, and he clearly liked me." "hyunjin i'm going to take a shower, i'll be right back." "do i also have to take a shower?"
when minnie came out of her shower hyunjin couldn't take his eyes off of her. she looked different with her white dress on. as she was doing her makeup hyunjin climbed up her dresser and kept her company. "do you like my makeup? i tried something different today, you know, tHe gLoW uP pHaSe." she laughed at herself. "she's cute." "i'm done. how do i look?" "beautiful." "hopefully i look decent enough." the girl said looking at her reflection. "i have to go now. i'll see you in some hours okay? be good. bye hyunjin." "how could someone leave her?"
30 minutes had passed and hyunjin was already bored. he turned himself into a human and was currently walking around the apartment. "maybe i should do what she did this morning." so he took a shower and changed into the closet full of men clothing that was supposed to be for minnie's friend. "technically, i'm her friend too so..." he had to recognize it. he looked good as a human. "i can get used to seeing this pretty face every day." he said, looking at his reflection. "what do humans do? should i play music? yea, i'm going to do that." after some time listening to minnie's cds he found himself moving his body to the rhythm of the song. "wait i know how to dance?! i'm the whole package!"
minnie got 10 minutes early to work so she decided to get the boys a coffee and herself a piece of cake from the cafeteria located inside of the building. when she got to the office, she saw that the boys were leaving their stuff, signaling that they had just arrived. "guys i brought coffee for everyone." "yes! minnie my savior, the love of my life! thank you." minho said taking a sip from his coffee. "hey! she's the love of my life!" "jisung stop being annoying she doesn't like you back, let it be br- oh thanks minnie." seungmin said, giving minnie a big smile. "hey don't be rude to the poor boy, he's just jealous of minho and i. here you go dumbhead." she said while ruffling jisung's hair. "i am not jealous! you love me more than him, right?... right?!" "if that lets you sleep at night then, yes, jisung, she does." felix answered his question. "i hate you all." "hey! what did i do?!" "not you, baby, i love you." "i am not your baby, han jisung." "i like this drama." "seungmin shut up!" "jisung don't yell at him!" "are mom and dad fighting?" "shut up felix!" minnie yelled as minho was just laughing in the background until there was a knock on the door. "hi guys, boss told me that he's planning to hire an assistant for all of you so if you know anyone who you think could fit the job you should tell them." seohyeon informed the group of friends. "you done now?" "don't listen to jisung, seohyeon. he's grumpy today. thank you for telling us." minnie told the girl as she was now leaving their office. "what the hell was that?" "you know i can't stand her." "you don't have to be rude to her." "why do you care? go pay attention to minho instead." "are you honestly jealous right now?" minnie asked her best  friend, not understanding why he was acting this way. "i'm taking a break." jisung said as he left to go outside.
of course minnie being minnie, followed him. she saw him sitting on a bench outside looking nowhere. she sat next to him and placed her head on his shoulder. "are you mad?" "of course i'm not mad at you. i could never be mad at you, minnie. you should be mad at me for being an asshole" "but you looked angry." "i just don't want to lose you okay. i'm scared. every day you're closer to the rest of the boys but act more distant towards me." jisung said looking down, minnie feeling her heart ache. "jisung you're never going to lose me. you are my best friend and i love you more than anyone else in this world okay? who was there for me when i decided to move to seoul? you. who helped me through the whole yunho ting? you. who also moved to seoul even though i told him multiple times it wasn't necessary but he is stubborn and does what he wants? yea you. i love you a lot." she grabbed his hands and intertwined their fingers. "i'm sorry i shouldn't have acted like that. you're allowed to have more friends i'm sorry i love you." the boy said looking down. "it's okay, i've known you my whole life, remember? i know you're not like this. let's get back inside, okay? we have a lot of work to do." "oof, don't remind me."
"should i go out? i shouldn't ... right? i'm just too bored. i don't have a phone so i can't text people and i also don't have friends so i definitely can't text anyone." hyunjin said debating whether to go outside or not. "i'm going out. i don't care." and out he went. forgetting he didn't have a way to get back into the apartment but he'll figure that out eventually. he walked through the streets of seoul, many girls and boys kept staring at him since he was a good looking young man. he went to han river and stayed there for a few hours just looking at everything around him. "when does minnie get home? was it 8pm?" he asked himself but then he remembered he didn't know how to read time. "i think i should get going then." he knew he was forgetting something but didn't quite know what. and as he was about to open the door to the apartment.
"wait i don't  have a key." well, now he figured it out.
