It's anniversary of A Very Bad Thing Happening (TM) with my ex-best friend/crush IRL. She's since changed schools, so no use rubbing salt in the wound.

I just need I few days to recouperate and scream into a pillow /srs

so this is a little sad maybe but i'm afraid i'm gonna be going on a bit of a hiatus. things have gotten hectic lately and i unfortunately don't have the brain power to try and write more consistently

i know i never update frequently but i tried :')

usually writing for me is a good way to either distract myself or enjoy my free time. despite how many projects i've got in the works, all i'm doing is staring at my scene unable to type at all

i can't say i know how long this break is going to be but fingers crossed it won't be too long, especially since it feels as though i've barely started

ATLA thoughts

I have...so many thoughts about the new ATLA series. I will collect them into a review I think because otherwise they will stay in my brain like a hive of angry bees and disturb my mental rest at all moments.

I didn't hate it, and it wasn't as bad as I was worried it might be (even as I went in cautiously optimistic and open minded). My biggest problem is probably that it was made in a time where the 8 episode arc rules. I think had it been 12 episodes they could have really done it justice. The characters and relationships really suffered for lack of time in which to develop. At 8 episodes everything was plot (when it wasn't exposition, dear lord the exposition).

My other issue was the writing. The actors did well with what they were given but they literally had an existing script right there and instead they just churned out the most trite, rote phrases to ever be said in a tv drama.

Hello, tiny life update bc I've disappeared again.

Mental health is absolutely kicking my ass atm, so I've only had the energy to do uni work. I'm hoping that the supplements and probably a sun lamp will help with the seasonal affective disorder, but winter does hit so hard lol.

And my mysterious hip pain is back! which is really not ideal as I haven't been sleeping well as is. I'm blaming doing a competitive sport for 8 years of my life for it. Hopefully it'll go away like last time.

However, I am still cooking up my shop!! I've got some fabric ink coming so I can hopefully make some totes, shirts and patches. I'm also working on finding somewhere to have prints made. At this point it'll hopefully be opening after the new year?

But yeah, that's why I've disappeared recently. I desperately hope to be back soon.
