pairings:  post covid ! kyle broflovski, kenny mccormick, stan marsh x reader. trigger warnings : age gaps . reader is in her middle twenties , everyone else is forty nine . specific uses of she/her pronouns ,  uses of y/n + l/n ( get that interactive fic extension loaded , lads  ) .  disclaimer : i haven’t written anything like this in a long time .  only interact with this post if you are 18 or above , minors are not welcomed on my blog . small intro of a future series im going to start in a fic form , putting this out there to see if anyone is interested and to get a taste for how alive the fandom is .

kenny has a nasty habit of losing track - it can range from his paper work , to notes when he’s going on one of his tangents and just needing to let it all out before it fleets from mind, to as simple as forgetting what day of the week it is : forgetting dates, scheduled events, that sort of thing. he really cannot coordinate his own life if it meant saving it, he’s just got too much going on, ten fold when it comes to his work -

it was kyle’s idea, actually - listening to kenny apologize yet again for forgetting one of the days they were supposed to meet up on. he sighs, exasperated, annoyed, any rational person would be when plans kept going haywire because someone couldn’t even bother to turn up “have you thought about a personal assistant ?” leaning on his kitchen counter, watching the new snow fall as he leaned into the phone “it’ll help. if it doesn’t, i’m just going to stop making plans with you.”

is he being serious ? no, but still - he’s on thin ice.

kenny starts interviewing a week later, because it really isn’t a bad idea - he’s ashamed that he never thought of it sooner. the applications come flooding through, who wouldn’t want a front row seat to a genius like him ? the things they’d get to witness first hand, new discoveries, seeing his mind in person and with a front row seat. it was too good to be true, nobody in their right mind would pass up the opportunity to put their application through.

after about a dozen interviews, he’s just about ready to give up.

then,,,, you come in - it was like he took a shot of vodka with how you snapped him awake - his eyes trail over you for a moment, he could see straight away how nervous you were - despite how much you were trying to hide it. cheeks were clearly flushed, fidgeting with your fingers before you held out a hand towards the man, smile shaky but bright as you did your best to put on a brave face, a little tremble in your hand as anxiety shot through you didn’t go missed, either  “its a pleasure to meet you, mr mccormick, truly, it’s an honour. ” 

well, right then and there, kenny thought you were just the sweetest little thing he’s ever laid his eyes on. he had his mind made up before your hands locked together, his large palm swallowing yours so easily as he sent you a dazzling smile, if any of his friends were in the room they’d make faces, sending him an accusing glare , they know the look too well and it’s anything but innocent “it’s a pleasure meet you too, mrs. l/n. you flatter me too much, please, sit - let’s begin, it says here that you - “

he has to at least pretend to be professional.

you got the phone call later that night with confirmation that you got the job.  did you dance around your apartment, scream the minute the phone call ended ? absolutely you did. now you have a chance to actually enjoy work, to do something with your life rather than dragging yourself through it, to work along side the brightest mind of their generation.

he called kyle up the minute things were confirmed. telling him it was the best and only good idea he'll ever have again. to which he responds with a "fuck you... wait, what are you talking about ... why do you sound like that?" kyle knows, he knows kenny too well not to know.

when stan, kyle and kenny next have a meet up, it’s an annoying shocked and open surprise that kenny graced them with his presence, for having the ability to turn up on time. after a lot of shit talking, kenny finally falls into speaking about you, a little too much, stan and kyle have no choice but to want to meet you.

I know you probably wanted me to answer in character lol but I feel like giving my honest to God opinion might be better than whatever this deranged dancer has to say

I'm gonna be honest, the three blogs I've started are all because I had really bad fixations on the characters. My favourite characters fluctuate sometimes, and I just have so many pent up ideas that I NEED to share with the world, and it ends up being in rp blog form. This is by far my most successful blog, my unpleasant and infected one coming second, then my emerson blog, and im SO glad this is the one that took off

I think maybe it partially has to do with the interactions its had with bigger blogs, like Hex's jeremy blog ( @/geometricgiovanni ) that helped it be seen (Hex if ur reading this, thank you!) But I also think it has to do with how much effort I've put into the responses thus far.

But hey, i digress. My advice to you, and genuinely anyone out there who wants to start a blog but is too nervous too/has no motivation, just do it! the asks can give you an excuse to draw more and get out of your unmotivated slump, and you can have a lot of fun explaining any lore and/or headcanons you have! Just have fun with it!

Word of advice though, not EVERY ask you receive needs to be answered! if it makes you uncomfortable, or if it has no substance in order to respond to it, or if you just don't want to, you absolutely do not need to! you do not owe anyone in your inbox a response if you do not want to give one.

I know I'm yapping and this probably isn't even the response you were hoping for, but basically a tl;dr: make the blog, have fun with it, and don't feel the need to answer every ask you receive.

Usually you would be jumping on hee and giving her kisses

However, her jaw dropped once you gave her the pregnant test

Heej would be frozen in shock, looking between you and the test, asking if it was really

Smiles so big, hugging you tightly and giving you a huge smooch while squealing

“OMG OMG OMG”

Actually starts to tear up before you tell her and it takes her a second to fully process what you said

And her smile slowly drops as she does

Would give you a soft hit on your shoulder, frowning

Makes you sleep in the guest room because she’s mad at you

On the bright side, Heejin does decide that she wants children now so you do start actually trying for one

When you asked Hyunjin to sit down, she didn’t think much of it

Just assuming you wanted to talk about what you’d dinner for next week or maybe another lecture about how she’s taking up 87% of the pantry space with her bread

But never a confession that you’re pregnant

She would gasp so loudly, covering her mout with her hands and look at you with wide eyes,

Whispering a quiet “really?” behind her hands before smiling and giving you a tight hug

But pulls back immediately once she remembers that you’re pregnant, muttering a small “sorry”

Excitedly asking a million questions per second with a wide smile on Hyunjin’s face while holding your hand in one of hers

The other rests on your belly

“How far along are you” “When did you find out” “Do you know the gender yet?” “Did you tell anyone else yet?”

You couldn’t keep up and eventually give up and say it was a prank

She immediately smacks your shoulder, scoulding you

A bit upset but not too much

Hyunjin gives you the silent treatment until you get her some cotton candy bread from the store as a peace offering about 3-4 hours later

Gives you a big hug after, but does let you know that she doesn’t like pranks like that and too keep them low

Like salt in her food or something

Haseul knew something was off the second she walked into the house, immediately going upstairs and into your shared room

Almost having a heart attack when she doesn’t immediately see you, but calming down once she notices the water of the sink running in the bathroom, along with the light peeking under

She hesitantly walks up to the door, knocking lightly and asking if you are okay and earning a small “okay” in return

Once she opens the door she finds you in front of the sink looking at a positive pregnancy test

It takes Haseul a minute to fully process what is happening, immediately giving you a hug once she does and lifting you off of the ground

“Oh my god, is that real?”

She would be smiling so hard her cheeks will hurt for the next few days

Talking about all of the things that she’s so excited to do before you stop her and tell her that you were pranking her

Is actually so sad :((( starts tearing up and won’t talk to you for the next hour

she can’t go very long without holding you

Haseul makes you apologize and scolds you for pranking her with something so serious

Yeojin was lowkey nervous when you said you had to have a serious talk with her

She thought you found out that she actually kept the lizard she found instead of giving it away like you told her

So imagine her surprise when you shoved a positive pregnancy test into her hand

She squeals so loud, jumping up and down and running around

Actually forgets about you for a minute or two before running back over to you and giving you the biggest hug Yeojin has given you since you accepted her confession

Is speaking at 100M words/ph and you have to slow her down to tell her that you were joking

At first she was in denial “what? no, you just showed me that you are” and shoving the pregnancy test back into your hands as proof

But her smile would drop when you would show her proof of the purchase for the false pregnant test online

She would actually be so upset and a little disappointed in you for lying to her like that

Wouldn’t exactly yell at you, but would raise her voice more than she normally would when scolding you and would make you apologize by getting her some food

Yeojin would still be a little bit upset with you for around two weeks until she forgets about it

You and Kahei were just cuddling on the couch while watching a show when you “blurted it out”

She heard you but it took a good minute for her to process what you said because she was so focused on the drama

But her head would snap towards you once she does, blurting out a loud “what?” with wide eyes

When you confirm she gets up quickly with a smile that she covers with her mouth from shock and a surprised face, asking “Are you being serious right now?”

Gives you such a big hug, just sitting in silence for a second before pulling back and asking questions.

Questions such as “How long have you known?” “How far along are you” “Do you know the gender?”

When you burst out in laughter, seemingly randomly, she gets a little concerned. Asking “what’s wrong?”

Kahei actually gets a little mad and says that she needs space

Saying “that wasn’t an okay thing to joke about”

She eventually, late at night, comes back home to you and explains to you that she doesn’t like you doing those jokes and after she gives you a hug

You and Jungeun were sitting at the kitchen table, having a regular at home dinner date.

However, when she went to pour you some of the wine she bought for the date, you stopped her and said “no thanks, I don’t need any”

When she asked why not as she sipped on her glass, confused because you never said no to wine, you replied with “because I’m pregnant” as if it was the most normal thing in the world

She instantly choked on the beverage, wide eyed and asking you to repeat that

When you did she was very excited, asking if you were serious with a big smile

You, however, just couldn’t hold in your laughter and shook your head, saying no

She frowned and smacked your shoulder, scolding you for saying that and you two went on with your date as regular.

late night/early morning emotional thoughts about miley once again

it breaks my heart how the miley fandom on tumblr died out. i had SO much fun in it in the bangerz era. it was like the second major wave of my miley fandom, with the initial hyperfixation starting in 2009 and going up until the end of HM being the first. even if i was too shy to actively talk to more than like 3 people, i still felt involved and it felt so interactive. to have open discussions going on, to have organic thoughts about things happening, not to mention a couple great update blogs and boatloads of content. it was just great.

i dont think i was fully aware that it was so depleted until when younger now was about to come out and it was essentially a ghost town. it was sad. some time after that i think, i somehow found that there still was an active fandom, it was just on twitter now. that was what really broke my heart. ive had too much social anxiety to ever get twitter (primarily bc the focuses of these fandoms are like. actually on there) and by the time i discovered this, that part of me as far as miley goes had kinda slowed down, likely at least partially as a result of the lack of the tumblr fandom. ive said this before, and i still hate to admit it, but im not at the same level as i was 2009-14, even up until 2016 ish, and theres nothing i can really do about that now. i cant force it. i still love her to bits and have talked about how about a year ago i realized i was neglecting my miley fandom more than i wanted to and worked to make it more active and im so glad i did, but i cant force it to be like what it was then, and thats ok. its not like she herself did anything wrong to cause that.

buuuuuuut there is a little someone else to blame lol.

obviously a certain someone who i started hyperfixating on in 2014 being the only other celebrity i ever hyperfixated on to that degree and is STILL the only other one, being much closer to my age, and being much more accessible to the point where i met her for the first time within about a single year of this hyperfixation and would go on to meet her more than a dozen more times and establish a somewhat personal relationship with her...thats gonna rock the boat a bit. its hard to feel that personal connection with miley that i used to now that i know what a real connection like that feels like. so....i guess if theres anyone to blame, you can only blame miss chloe lol.

bottom line tho, i really do miss that tumblr fandom and wonder what things would be like had it survived through younger now, plastic hearts, and up to esv. but again, i cant force myself to go back to where i was then. its just strange that there are still a decent amount of active fandoms on here but that one practically died out entirely. maybe people feel the opposite of what i do and LIKE being able to interact with the focus of their fandom. i am too nervous for that lol.

OUGH sorry this took a while uhh i don't?? i don't deal with it?? I would hate it if one of those weirdos who gets wEIRD about this kind of fiction started interacting with me. I guess I'm just lucky so far idk. I guess i mostly just remind myself im not making this for everyone, i'm making it for me and people like me. that and trying to properly trigger tag stuff and its like, well, if anyone's upset about this that's kinda their own fault at that point.

ive seeing these anons giving advice and im glad we're all wondering why you aren't more well known. ive been reading acotar but it took me a while to find your blog and i really was surprised i hadn't found it sooner because you're a great writer and you also write a lot, so you should be on searches and stuff a lot. i thought it was because you wrote a lot of dark fics at first and that's not for everyone but you also write a lot of others so im not sure how you don't get way more notes on your fics. i think what the other anon said about interacting with other writers and im not familiar with the examples they gave tbh but yeah there's a few blogs that interact with each other a lot so you know they're friends (azsazz and acourtofthristandmen and more) but if you don't know them or you're not really good at/ want to you don't have to try to interact with them, i think you should bet on interacting with your audience more because that's what keeps people coming back. dont be afraid to post stuff on here either, this is your blog so you can post, especially asks because we do love seeing our asks answered and if people don't see their asks answered they might not keep sending them bc they're basically being ignored.

Honestly I’m very happy with how things are at the moment, like having people write in if they enjoy a fic, offering ideas, giving advice—I’d much rather keep things as they are than maybe having more notes on a fic but less people knowing this blog well enough to want to send in requests or talk?

Okay okay!! So!! I don’t know if this is a common thing other blogs do, but there are people I see interacting and I was thinking it would be fun to include you too? I know some people might find that stressful though and I don’t want to scare anyone off, but I thought it might be fun to tag some of you guys in those tag games? I’d like to clarify it’s not only not spamming things that makes me nervous to respond, but also because I don’t always know how much free time I’ll have in a day, so I often only have mornings to get to talk to people? most active muse: It’s really hard to say? I blog/muse hop a super-sized amount of time. I try to be consistent and get my drafts done, but it doesn’t always work out ;;; so I really am sorry to anyone who waits on me! ; o ; I always come back to each of my blogs if I have enough traction on them, though!

experience/how many years: I started writing on tumblr in 2014, so it’s been roughly...nine years now? But I rp’d as a child with my cousin on our cellphones, haha! We had some stupid ideas of what the world was back then and, thankfully, I’ve improved as a writer and person as I grew up!

best experience: Any time that ANYONE says that they can hear my muse’s voice in my writing? That makes me feel like I am doing the character justice and it sticks with me, you know?

rp pet peeves: It’s hard to say... I try to let a lot of things slide off my back with a simple vent with friends if it bothers me. Nothing is worth STAYING mad at, but the worst experiences I had were people who would take my words and then proceed to turn others against me? Like, I really, really hate this petty childish mannerism that people have about dealing with problems. Turning others against someone is what high schoolers do and I interact with people who are adults, not children! If something offends you, hurts you, or makes you sad, TELL ME! I won’t mind if you need to vent to your friends (notice I use the word: FRIENDS, not just random people in the fandom that you want to make mad at me for gratification of some kind) because it genuinely made you feel bad, but as long as we talk it out or you drop it and move on because everyone has a sour moment, then I don’t care. I just want people to not be immature! 

fluff, angst, or smut: out of these three? angst more than likely. While I enjoy fluff a lot, it turns to this really...clockwork aspect a lot of times, which isn’t inherently bad, but I like things moving around and, out of the three, I feel like angst does that job really well! If I were to push for another category added? It’d be CHARACTER BUILDING (which can be any of those categories, though I am not a smut person) because I find that this really does motivate me a TON! Angst does it a whole lot because muses tend to reveal sides of themselves that aren’t visible a lot, but you can do it in fluff too! You can see the kindness of another that isn’t there often, which is so so so so valuable to development! So, I raze this question to the ground and replace all with character building as my preferences!  

plots or memes: Plots are great, but I really do have to emphasize that we DO SOMETHING with what we make together! I do not like to just plot and then sit there like, “Oh, gosh, do we thread it? Do we...do we do it??? Do I do it?” Because then I get nervous that my plot points were bad and then I get into this anxious cycle about approaching LMFAO ; really, it’s a ME thing mostly because I should approach again. However? Memes are fantastic but they take longer for me to respond to because I sit there going, “Okay, how do I do this amazingly so they’re hooked?” If it’s a random ask box thing, I sometimes answer quicker if there’s a plot behind it, though! But...as some people notice, even that can take forever ; o ;

long or short replies: I am terrible about keeping things short SO MUCH OF THE TIME! If someone replies long, I reply long, but if they reply short, I try so hard not to do TOO much...but sometimes if the reply just speaks to my muse, I get SUPER into it. I also get nervous if I am JUST starting to interact with that person and go ham just to be like, “I AM INTERESTED I HOPE SOMETHING OF THIS IS GOOD ENOUGH!” I wanna be that really attentive partner when starting off because I just want to make it fun for both sides!

best time to write: Sometimes I get super musey at like...3 AM and other times I write like no tomorrow at 6 PM ; there is no time that really speaks to me because I just slam dunk my muse when I get it! LMFAOOOO

are you like your muse(s): Most of my muses are cooler than me! I think in terms of a lot of them, I notice certain patterns that draw me in, but I tend to pick my characters at seemingly random sometimes...but I do love cutesy muses so much since I am a very cutesy individual in life (and by “cutesy” I mean...they are also drawn to pink, stuffed animals, and pretty things). So if I had to define myself close to a muse I have, it’d be...Chrissy Cunningham. I am very much like in a lot of regards except I wasn’t popular in school LOL so don’t read into that aspect of her.
