back in around november, my younger uncle, who is unmarried and has no kids, gifted me zelda botw and totk, specifically because he'd heard about what happened with my older uncle. when my older uncle found out at thanksgiving, he asked me to give totk to him. i told him i was busy with college apps and haven't opened it yet and he said it was fine, and that he would play it and give it back in a few days. i refused, saying that i wanted to open my own game when i wasn't busy, and my mom, who was also there, agreed with me and said that i deserved the experience of opening a present and enjoying it on my own time. he tried a few more times to convince me unsuccessfully and eventually relented.

two months ago i opened botw and am making very slow progress on it because i just don't have the time to finish it as quick as i'd like. totk is still in the plastic on my dresser. a few days ago my uncle messaged me asking for totk, and i ignored it. my mom told me just to tell him i already lent it to someone, but today he turned up on my porch while i was waiting to go to school and asked me for it, and in my exasperation i said, "i haven't even opened it yet." he again told me to let HIM open it and that "he'd give it back in three days after finishing it," and just to let him have it. i told him no. and then i told him no several more times. at one point he got annoyed and said, "fine, be like that," and walked away.

some additional context: my uncle is not broke. he makes six figures and has a very good engineering job. he bought a ps5 almost as soon as it came out. he makes the conscious choice not to purchase his own games, i guess because he feels no need to when he could just borrow them from us instead? my family doesn't make a lot of money but my mom saves up so we can have games, usually as birthday or holiday gifts. i have never borrowed a game from him except botw because he doesn't have any to lend. i also feel like if he really wanted zelda totk that bad he could just buy it himself, because he can definitely afford it. my mom, maternal aunt, and cousins (not his kids) are all on my side, and my aunt says that my younger uncle doesn't like my older uncle and would be pissed if i lent them to him. on the other hand i just feel bad for holding out and being difficult because i want to open it on my own time, and i even though i don't like him as a person i still feel guilty for being rude to and pissing him off because he's my mom's oldest sibling.

beomgyu and you decided to hang out today and you guys chose on gaming together. you both sat infront of the large tv to which the ps5 was connected to. “i bought a new game recently, wanna try it?”

beomgyu looks at you and you nod with a smile. he removes the cd from the case and places it inside the ps5. as the game is starting beomgyu runs to the kitchen to grab some snacks and you smile softly when he brings back all your favorites. he knows you too well.

once the game is loaded he teaches you the basic rules and controls of the game. after he explains everything you nod with a determined look, “i’ll show you how good I am gyu!!!” while your boyfriend just chuckles at you. you two play together and in the midst of a battle you suddenly forget which controls to use.

“w-wait! gyu noo!” you desperately call out to him so he wouldn’t beat you but beomgyu laughs, “not today baby!!”. and so you end up miserably losing to him. you sulk and beomgyu chuckles, finding you cute.

he makes his way behind you and places his hands on your small ones which were placed on the white ps5 controller. he guides you where to move and where not. “press the x button to shoot and triangle to sprint, okay? and make sure to remember that you can only sprint for 5-10 seconds because your stamina can get low”

but for you it was hard to focus on what he was saying. you couldn’t help but stare at him rather than the game that was being displayed on the tv. he was just so handsome. you heard nothing he said because you were already way too occupied admiring your attractive boyfriend.

“you understand?” he looks back at you and you cluelessly blink. beomgyu catches you staring at him and chuckles. he takes the controller from your hands and puts it down before lifting you up to place you on his lap.

his hands rest on the small of your back and he smiles at you. he tilts his head and leans closer. soon enough you feel his soft lips against yours. he kisses you softly and you follow, your hands gripping onto the material of his hoodie. he pulls away for a split second only to catch your lips once again.

this time you pull away to catch your breath but it seems like beomgyu can’t get enough of you. he cups your cheeks and places a long peck on your lips. he slowly pulls away, looking at you with a lovesick expression. you place a peck on his lips as well, followed by a small giggle.

“take a picture it’ll lost longer” he says smugly before pulling you closer to him from the material of his hoodie you were wearing, gaming long forgotten.

MY HIGHLIGHTS OF 2023

Got to watch Across the Spider-Verse in theaters. Trust me when I say that this is a movie made for the big screen.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 and the Loki season finale proves that Marvel isn't COMPLETELY out of ideas.

What If...? Season Two was a lot of fun for me.

Got a PS5 and finally was able to play Night in the Woods for the first time than relying on other people playing it.

Bought Spyro: The Reignited Trilogy and Crash N. Sane Trilogy in an attempt to reignite my love of gaming (Ha).

Doctor Who became good again.

Finished It All Started with a Jacket.

Bought a bunch of LEGO sets that gave me a good (albeit expensive) hobby.

Bought two different kinds of Ninja Turtles action figures. Ones based on the Mutant Mayhem Turtles and the others on the IDW comics. They're awesome and seeing them together brings me joy.

Watched The Owl House finale, feeling so happy that my favorite characters all got this mega happy ending.

WHAT TO DO FOR 2024

Make that webcomic that I've been wanting to make.

Try to cool my temper.

Look for a job that doesn't make me want to shove a TC up someone's ass so hard that it gets lodged in their throat.

Watch more TV shows and movies that aren't animated or superhero related.

Summoning Sturm in RE Mercenaries: A How-To Guide

So, now that you understand why Sturm is THE BEST, time to back up and explain a bit more about how to use him, and why it's down to me to tell you.

For the completely unfamiliar, Mercenaries is a challenge mode that unlocks on completing RE8. As of the Winters Expansion, you can even unlock playable characters like Heisenberg and Lady D, which is every bit as awesome as it sounds. As Heisenberg, you can do cool shit like flinging sawblades and summoning Soldats ‒ but the instructions do not mention that summoning Sturm is possible too, and you aren't likely to find it out by accident.

I can state this with confidence, because I didn't find it even in all the time it took me to score an S-rank on all 12 stages (yes, even the hard ones) as Heisenberg ‒ which unlocks the coveted Heisenberg Statue (TM).

Once unlocked though, the statue sits in your entrance lobby and shows you pointless stats on previous runs ‒ stuff like 'stages completed', 'hammers slammed', or... wait, 'Sturms summoned'? Hang on, Heisenberg can summon Sturm? SINCE WHEN?

This was legitimately my first clue. There was only one person to ask, and that person was google.

If you're in doubt that this is one of the best kept secrets in all of RE lore, to reiterate, googling "Heisenberg" and "summon Sturm" still produces only a handful of results (and several of those are now links to my last post about it). Fortunately, one of those was some clever dude who'd spotted a curious option buried in the Mercenaries keybindings on PC, just under Heisenberg's magnetic field activation command, and labeled only 'Change Minion'.

Not a lot to go on, so let me explain.

You use your Soldat summon by selecting your fourth weapon slot (4 on keyboard, D-pad-down on controller), then hit the 'fire' button to deploy it (left mouse button on PC, right trigger on controller) . There's a considerable cooldown between uses, so you can't just spam it for an easy time.

However, if you hit the 'Change Minion' button after switching to your Soldat, but before hitting 'fire', the icon in the bottom right of your screen should change.

You are now in Summon Sturm Mode.

Surprisingly, there's no unlock required for this. Unlocking Heisenberg requires an A-rank on all 6 easy-level stages, and many of Heisenberg's more exciting abilities have to be bought or found at random. Sturm, however, is available wherever Soldats are sold. It's very weird that it's so well-hidden.

Do note: hitting Alt again will not 'change your minion' back. To switch back to Soldat-mode, just hit 4/down again. Or switch to any other weapon (slots 1-3), then back to 4 again. Sturm-mode is not sticky: if you've been flinging saws or flash grenades while waiting for the cooldown to clear, you'll have defaulted back to Soldat mode next time you want to summon a minion, and you'll have to hit Alt again. This can be a little annoying when you're under pressure, but so it goes.

How-to on PS/XBOX

How to summon Sturm on PS or XBOX is a thornier question: instructions for controllers aren't as detailed as the keyboard shortcuts. Fortunately, another of those few google hits was a guy on youtube who'd figured it out on PS5: according to him, the trick is to hold X, and spin the left analog stick (the one that controls the camera) through 360 in a counterclockwise direction. Which is a lot more complicated, and worth testing.

Now, I don't own a current generation Playstation or XBOX, but I do have both an old PS3 controller and a knockoff XBOX controller, which I sometimes use for PC gaming, so I tried it out. And on both, what I found was that you didn't need to hold down any button: simply spinning the analog stick 360 degrees in either direction worked. Doesn't seem to matter where you start the spin either, as long as it goes the whole way around.

I can't 100% guarantee it's the same on a real XBOX/PS, but if that's how you game, I recommend you test it out in the lobby before trying it in a level. Your Soldat-gage doesn't charge in the lobby, but you can still see the icon change to Sturm to show you've got it right (and please do let me know if so!)

Sturm: An Advanced Strategy Guide

So, having now told you all about why Sturm is awesome, is there ever any reason not to summon Sturm? Because on paper he seems to have everything over your regular Soldat summon: does comparable damage on the first run, and then he keeps going ‒ where's the downside?

Well, after extensive testing, I'm here to tell you Sturm does have one weakness. Your Soldat will pierce through anything ‒ including heavily armoured enemies, like Soldat Panzers and, er, enemy Sturms, which are otherwise invincible from the front.

Summon!Sturm, however, sometimes won't damage armoured enemies. Honestly, it's not totally consistent that he'll just bounce off, but it's happened enough times to qualify as a pattern. Sometimes he'll work, but often he won't. Even regular un-armoured Soldats with their fingers crossed arms covering their weak spot can sometimes be a problem. So take that under advisement: your Soldat is more reliable, even if he's mostly less fun.

Sadly, this also means that summoning Sturm to fight Sturm isn't often going to work: enemy Sturms remain frustratingly invincible from the front, and will charge straight through him. And as soon as there are two Sturms on the field, keeping track of which one can hurt you and which one can't is like playing Russian Roulette with a chainsaw.

Sturm's also worse with obstacles. Summon your Soldat in the Factory level's Foundary area, and he'll punch through anything to reach his target. Sturm may well just get stuck on a table.

This is not to say summoning your Soldat is always the sensible-if-boring option. Sturm not only sticks around longer and can hit enemies who haven't even spawned yet, he can also hit an enemy more times as he barrels past.

Take the ever-annoying Varcolac miniboss that leaps out at you at the start of the final Hard level, the Bloody River II. Your Soldat will take a nice chunk off its health gauge, but won't finish it off.

But Sturm? Sturm will take it down so fast you won't even have to wait for him to turn around.

(This is not just a fluke, for the record ‒ I've tried this with both of them more than once.)

Speaking of damage, both Sturm and your Soldat are affected by most any ability which boosts general damage ‒ even some of the ones that look contradictory. Infighter? Will boost damage on any enemy they hit standing close to you. Out of Reach? Will boost damage on any enemy they hit further away. Fickle shooter will boost damage even when they hit multiple enemies with one hit. And as for any other attack, bonuses stack and multiply. But Break Shot is generally going to be your most useful single bonus (50% extra damage to anything on full health, which is most enemies Sturm and Soldy are going to hit).

The one I'm not so sure about is No Brainer, since I'm not sure if your summons can actually pull off a headshot. Maybe it's possible, but don't think I've seen it happen.

By contrast, I don't think your magnetic field has any effect. It'll boost damage done by the hammer and other projectiles by double (or more), but doesn't seem to have any impact damage done by summons.

From all this testing, I've also learned that your standard cooldown between Soldat/Sturm summons is 1 minute ‒ reduced to 40 seconds if you buy the S.O.S. ability. Who you summon or how long Sturm bumbles around for doesn't seem to make any difference there.

Alas, I have had very little luck summoning Sturm to help me fight Miranda. She just spends too much time in the air to be a good Sturm-target ‒ a real shame, because she'd otherwise make a great gif to finish on. But in lieu of that, have a gif of Sturm doing truly absurd amounts of damage while boosted with multiple assorted damage upgrades (which he's not in most of the gifs above).

Lovely Admiration for Astarion from FangGirls

So I purchased a new Bluetooth Keyboard for my iPad. It lights up and has 7 different colors to choose from. Normally, I want to continue my fic as my OC runs up to the Vampire Ascendant and lives in his lavish castle with him.

But I am distraught by terrible writer’s block and lacking a chance to play the game cause I’m not dropping 600$CAD for a PS5 system. I bought two books of the D&D lore based on vampires, one of them will come this Tuesday. Also picked up a book based on Critical Role.

I’m kinda am confused with my admiration of said vampire. I find he’s quite the attractive bad boy and I see AliExpress selling art that claims “I Can Fix Him.”

Seen in the beginning of his origin run, he wants to take everything from Cazador. He wants to become the Vampire Ascendant. He wants complete control of himself and never fall to become a vampire pawn.

Then people say as Tav should not let him ascend. He should not continue the cycle that his sick sad abusive master had on him. Staying as a spawn is the good ending for him.

Did they actually play the game?

When you first meet him, he’s caught you in a bind, ready to slash your throat in wanting the scarlet liquid for himself. Once he understands the situation, he is reluctant to join your party.

I’m not saying Ascendant Astarion is a bloody bastard. Then again, Spawn Astarion was a new awakening for him, thanks to the tadpole implanted in him. He’s eager to do anything he wants, like finally walking into the sun and salivating on other creatures for their blood. No more rats for now on.

He was never a lawful good character at the start. Becoming the Ascendant Vampire is true to his coy nature.

Then there are fans who reflected that Astarion is a survivor. For defying the abuse from Cazador, fanggirls reflect themselves onto him. And that’s OK.

If I ever do purchase a cameo by Neil, I was hoping to use it for mental health reflection. Yeah, I got the letters off Etsy. I used them to read and cheer myself up, knowing a fictional vampire will always have my back.

I know he’s quite a busy man. So I know he won’t do it. Under these scars I pray, like a shooting star in the rain.

Anyways, I’m ranting again. I dunno why I read this. I am using my fic to escape reality at times. I must sound really pathetic for voicing my opinion of the Ascendant Vampire. I just hate when fanggirls say he’s evil. As in he kicks puppies for a living.

Sure, you can call me out for being a n00b. I don’t know any better. That I’m using previous vampire encounters on my admiration for The Pale Elf.

But it stings that some people will think liking Ascendant Astarion means you suffer from a mental illness. I do like him and I have a mental illness for 20+ years. I find it insulting to be called “delulu”. It makes me want to defend a fictional character, despite I’ll never have an encounter with him.

So yeah. This is my rant. Don’t like it? Don’t follow me.

I read something about how Sony is already planning to make the PS6 because the PS5 wasn't meeting their financial goals. Similarly, I saw something about Microsoft wanting to try working on the next Xbox- both want to try and make the graphics the strongest ever-

God they just do not fucking get it man. The ps5 and Xbox Series SeX are fine, they just came out and they're so strong you can barely differentiate life from them. The graphics are not the issue here- actually, scratch that, the REALISM is not the issue here. The issues are

Price. Nobody can fucking afford those things in this economy. Why are we fucking charging almost a month's rent for a game console 10 people bought?

Availability. I can count the number of times I've seen a wild PS5 last year on ONE hand, man

There's no fucking exclusives worth getting. Horizon? Okay, great, but is there ANYTHING else you can't get for cheaper on the PS4, Xbone, or pc's that are still running just fine? This is the huge things- Remember when Sony used to have a strong lineup of Sly, Spyro, Crash, Jak and Daxter, and eventually Infamous? Remember... Well, Xbox had Halo I guess? I guess Gears of War, but other than that I can't say I can remember anything good that was original and exclusive.

Graphics- Remember how I changed my mind? That's because these big companies think we need to be able to see the exact excretion of sweat from a pore in a horse's nutsack, when we really don't? What's needed is something more cartoonish like the PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube era, something that sticks out and isn't lost among games that look exactly the same. This, combined with Exclusives, is why Nintendo just has more memorable games.

Here's my opinion: Stop trying to pursue reality-level graphics and start trying to pursue fun ideas again that don't just appeal to your average brain rotted CoD or EA sports player. Plenty of adults still love cartoonish games like Mario, and you still make a game look GREAT that lasts years later (Okami is a huge one, but also look at Sly 2 for PS2, Sonic Colors for Wii, etc).

Also, stop trying to use top of the line parts that will either get scalped or never sell for way too much. A game console should be no more than $360 max imo, and you don't need to make its "exclusives" completely 1 to 1 with reality because it's just gonna look bad in 5 years. You need something that looks FUN, that appeals to all ages and not just either little kids or adults that think they're too "adult" to enjoy something other than your copy paste war zone or zombie apocalypse.

Focus on stability and accessibility, not a pissing contest to see who can go bankrupt first.

LIFE AND GAMING UPDATE

So big news, I finally have a job!!! It took me 3+ months after graduation to find a job. I haven't started yet but the paperwork is in the process so that's good.

Also, I finished Cyberpunk 2077 yesterday. I played on my PS5 and I played a female V. I did all the side quests that I could find and I beat it in about 90ish hours. I decided to play it once it was mostly fixed due to the bugs and crashes at launch. I also bought the piggyback guidebook, but I did not look through it until after I beat the game. I would rate the game 9/10. I would recommend it to people who want to experience it or even those who played it at launch and were discouraged by the bugs. I will queue up some last posts and then edit my Cyberpunk screenshots to post around the time of the Phantom Liberty DLC release.

So like I said I played female V with female voice acting. I thought my V was fire. She was a badass punk with a good heart with a nomad background. I romanced Judy. When I saw her in the game trailers it was love at first sight.

For the ending, I went with Panam, once a nomad always a nomad. I also chose to save V and let Johnny go with Alt. I did not think the ending was going to hit me this hard but man Night City really did leave a mark. I loved how the city was, the NPC's and the side stories were amazing. I cried at the end when I realized that my time in Night City was up. Yes I know I could play the game again but the first time is special. I really liked Johnny. In my playthrough, he and V were friends (in my head at least). I also liked Takemura as a character even though he is an Arasaka kiss ass lol. In the epilogue credits, he told V to go to hell because Hanako died. Also in the Panam ending I did not expect Saul to get his face caved in like that. F*ck Smasher. I killed him for Johnny because I promised him I would do it.

I really liked the Kerry side missions. They were my favorite from all the romance side missions. They were fun and deep. I also really liked Kerry's guitar song that he plays on the yacht. After the mission, I went to YouTube to find it. How Kerry talked about living. I also liked Brendan the SCSM. I wish there was an ending to Brendan's story where he would not get reset. I also liked the psycofan gig by El Padre. I liked how it involved Johnny and Kerry. I feel like it made Night City more alive, idk.

My favorite apartment was the first one in the Megabuilding. I liked how you could change the appearance of it, also Nibbles was there lol. My favorite vehicles were the black Rayfield Caliburn and Jackie's Bike. (Yes, I liked that they were fast lol).

LOOKS AT YOU WITH BLOODSHOT EYES. i really wish i had the foresight to draw something for the anniversary but it just didnt happen. i think i still will draw something but it will just be late and thats ok. anyway I would like to share MY experience with the series ❤

my first ever rac game was tools of destruction. my dad brought it home one day and i had no idea what it was, I dont think HE knew what it was, I have no idea why he bought it. we never had a ps2, only a ps3, so nobody in my family had ever played the og trilogy. I didnt even know there were earlier games in the series for several more years. idk exactly how old I was, maybe 8 or 9, so this was a few years after tod's release (2009-10??). I watched my dad play it, and I thought it was the most awesome shit ever. I rarely actually played it myself cause I was bad at video games but I had such a huge crush on ratchet i wanted him to be my catboy bf so bad (some things never change 😑....) but my little brother became OBSESSED with it and played it over and over and over. he was only like 6 so he couldnt even read and didnt know the actual title of the game so he just called it "THE ROBOT GAME". i remember being so fucking confused and pissed off by the ending LOL. we had quest for booty pretty shortly after that and played that a million times too. i dont even think i registered that it was a separate game from tod and tbh i still think of it as tod dlc.

next was the acit demo, which again we played a million times, until finally our parents got us the full game (again a few years after release so probably around 2011-12). I distinctly remember my brother and i thought qwarks line in the opening cutscene "space. its big. so big in fact, that if you lost your car keys in it, they would be almost impossible to find" was the funniest shit ever and we quoted it constantly.

(and when I say "we played", i mostly mean i watched my le epic gamer brother play while I pissed him off with my backseat driving the entire time. sometimes this ended in physical violence.)

I might have played some of tod or acit again, i dont remember, but it was just something I used to like as kid.

and then well. spring 2020. I think a lot of people returned to things from their childhood after the pandemic started because all that fear and uncertainty makes you want to return to a seemingly simpler and safer time, especially if you were living away from your family and had to suddenly move back in with them like i did. so during quarantine I replayed all the rac games we had just for kicks, and it reignited my passion for these games and reminded me just how special they were to me. i became so intensely obsessed with them (especially acit). MY HORRIBLE SON DEX WAS BORN. (dexo is 2 years old now awwwwwwwwww) and ciro lent me his copy of the og trilogy ps3 port and I played the original games for the first ever time. and as luck would have it, rift apart was announced at e3 during that same period. kind of insane to think about. there was no way I was gonna get a ps5 so I just watch other peoples playthroughs 1 million times. i still wanna play it so bad 😭

ratchet and clank isnt even a game series its like a brother to me. its everything. its so important. learn your herstory. for some reason I was under the impression for a long time that rac was a super mainstream series that everyone has played. that a playstation and a copy of acit was made free for all americans by the president. but unfortunately the fandom is so so small with barely any active members on tumblr. there was a HUGE surge in content last year cause of rift apart, but 90% of people quickly forgot about it and moved on. i am eternally grateful to my rac mutuals and followers that continue to post and talk about it. o7

I'm pretty excited about my progress so far this year and the year isn't even over yet. SO, this is a bit of a brag, but I'm feeling myself today.

Slowly been switching from Chrome to Opera. The free VPN, free system clean up, connection to the gaming news and ish, and connections to other socials kinda sold me. I still use Chrome for some things, especially writing, but…that's kinda it.

Finished Midnight Suns…which…is an absolutely amazing game that I vastly underestimated when I first started playing it and put it down for two weeks (only to pick it up again and become absolutely enamored). Easily one of my favorites now and I'm hoping they add some story-based DLC at some point, but I imagine they're going to save it for a sequel. (Just saying, I'm shipping tf out of Caretaker/Agatha Harkness). Also, even though it's player's choice regarding character creation, it just makes more sense for Hunter to be female (especially with the connections to Salem during the Witch Trials), but I'm a tad biased.

Finished the main storyline of Control. I'm still playing the Foundation DLC, but overall...an absolute blast. Loved the tie-in DLC with Alan Wake and the suggestion of sequels for both. It's super cheap on PSN and PC and allows for cross play from PS4 to PS5 in case that's a thing you're concerned about. If you just want to focus on a single player experience, this game is far too good for it's own good.

Currently playing Last Judgement. I played the first one and it's just...such a good effing game. My goodness.

Nearly finished a book since I've invested in a Kindle. If you know me, you'll know that a single book in roughly 3 weeks is quite the accomplishment for me.

Fully modded my 3DS. I'm thinking of investing a Raspberry Pi and making a little...classic gaming PC. I just might. There's a lot of 2023 still to come.

Currently modding the Retroid Pocket 3+. It's a lovely handheld, but not for the faint hearted (or anyone new to the emulator hobby) to mod tbh. I plan to start streaming from Steam or PSN to it, but we'll see how that works out. Just...wouldn't recommend it without following a tutorial.

now i didn't realize it was online by default. i'm nervous about online games. mostly worked through the social anxiety irl, have not even attempted to engage with it in games. so, i started alone, as expected. got through the whole first leg of the trek by my lonesome. second one too. then, to my utter surprise, upon loading the third map, i saw another little dude. they chirped at me and it sunk in that had been dropped into someone's world, and they in mine. but i'm a chronic explorer, i thought, they're going to get annoyed with me wanting to search every nook and cranny. not so! i learned quickly about journey's game design and let that worry pass; we would only ever have the same goal.

we quickly established communication, the language of which i would bet is pretty common. two chirps for thank you, one for you're welcome, big chirps and twirls for celebration, gentle repetition for "this way!", fervent repetition for "get over here get over here it's coming", and every other kind just to remind each other that you're not alone (and replenishing their scarf). my and my companion turned out to be very talkative, chirping and twirling at each other nonstop. even during the hardest part of the journey, where the pauses lengthened, both of us feeling the strain, one of us was never long to check in, though our chirps grew smaller and smaller.

as we ascended the final terrible stretch, i thought i'd lost them to the flying beasts. knocked far and away into the snow, well out of sight. i felt genuine heartbreak as i sat in safety and chirped, swiveling my camera around, waiting for exactly too long for comfort before i saw their white bubble extend from the corner of my screen. i went out to chirp at them and escort them to safety, and then they got clipped again, this time staying in sight. i truly hadn't been expecting to feel anything like that tonight. i fell off a ledge on the broken windswept staircase and they jumped down after me just so that we'd stay together. i stayed when they struggled to get back up to that very staircase again.
