I really love the idea of Buck being the one who's been secretly in love with Eddie the whole time. Because when it comes to Eddie, he doesn't really seem to give much thought to dating until someone pushes him to it?? But Buck always seems to be thinking about how to be a better person (choosing to go to therapy, being open about what he wants in a relationship and such). So in my head, between the two, Buck is the one more likely to figure it out first before Eddie. And he's just sweet enough to think Eddie might not want this so he supports Eddie dating others and even dates people himself (thinking that this thing with Eddie will never happen so why not). It's like, he's pining but not in a "i will stay miserable about it" way??? Does that make sense?? Buck's just the kind of person who is like 'you might not love me but i will steal the moon for you, i will fight the world for you, i will bring you all the stars in the universe'.

Eddie is the kind if person who needs to be told "hey have you ever thought about dating buck? how he checks all your boxes? how you're both raising a child together and have each other's backs and are comfortable with each other?" and it makes him go OH, i never thought about that. And then he starts seeing Buck in a whole different way you know. Like, here's the person Chris likes, who will protect Chris and takes care of him like his own, who knows his family, who will always come save Eddie no matter what, who's been there for Eddie's highs and absolute lows. Like, all the things Eddie worries about when finding a partner is something Buck already fulfills. So why not date Buck?? Why did he never think of this??

Stranger Things Fic Recommendations

These last few months I've been reading a LOT of ST fan fiction and just wanted to spread word on some of my all-time favorite fics. Most are primarily steddie, but what can I say? I'm a sucker for those two lol.

Completed Fics:

without a flashlight in the dark by jurassicqueer (kukurosaki)

Takes place in s1 where Steve gets dragged into the Upside Down instead of Barb. By far one of my favorites. 10/10 recommend. It's a completed work with a little over 8,000 words and I wish I could read it for the first time again and again. Beautiful!

flight risk by Ayes, itskleo

This is probably one of the most popular ones on my list, but if you haven't read it yet, please, please, please check it out! The writing is phenomenal and these guys really know how to write a story (also the art that accompanies each chapter is just too freaking good). I've also been reading However Wild by them and it's really good as well but I digress. Steve is famous rockstar Eddie Munson's bodyguard and no matter how hard Eddie tries to shake Steve, he just can't. Then he figures out he doesn't really want to shake him off anymore... and need I say more? Go read it!

Black Out Days (Fairground Nights) by OonionChiver

Oooh the angst in this fic just doesn't stop. I absolutely love it. It's a completed work and a total binge read, though with almost 140,000 words there's no way you can get through it quick enough. It also kind of f'ed me up emotionally and I'm so glad it did. The fic is pretty much steddie to the max and I absolutely loved it. I feel like it's impossible to not want to reread it after finishing btw, so you've been warned in advance lol.

another completed steddie fic at 154,000 words. Steve's car constantly needs fixed due to the Upside Down stuff and Eddie is the one always having to fix it up. Steve's nail bat is an "art project" and that just cracks me up. This fic is a beautiful slow burn with lots of pining. I'm in love.

smoke signal by Adure

Adure is possibly one of the strongest authors I've ever come across on ao3. This one shot was just phenomenal to read. I loved reading outlaw Eddie in this. It was just so well done. aaaahhh, just thank you so much to Adure for this one. I'm forever indebted to you.

New York Hardcore by CaptainHoney

Probably the best Punk Steve fic there is, or at least in my opinion. It's just a 7,418 word one-shot, but that's all you need because it's such a satisfyingly whole read. however... if you do want more (and you will) then you're in luck because it's part of a series including an Eddie POV as well as a sequel one shot.

Jackrabbit Underneath by Grey_Lark

Probably one of my favorite Steve has powers fics. He has empathic powers, but doesn't know it, and that's just funny to me. This one is definitely not steddie and romance is not what the goal of this fic is, but the interactions with Tommy and Carol truly make it chef's kiss. It's incompleted but has over 210,000 words of content to tide you over until the next update. It's probably one of the most beautifully written fics I've ever come across.

Our Love to Admire by hibud

UGGGHHH, I'm literally dying to read more it's so good. Another Steddie fic that takes place after s4. It's one of my favorite tropes: enemies to lovers, but the author provides background as to why they don't get along and I just love it! It's also incomplete, but updates regularly. There's already over 200,000 words of poetic writing to satisfy you until the next update.

If I Ever Leave (You're Coming With Me) by roughvoiced, Sharpbutsoft (BuckysButt)

It's giving The Outsiders kinda vibes and I honestly wish there were more fics like this. I'm also a sucker for blonde Steve, though I had no idea until reading this. Eddie is still wanted for murder, but Steve manages to make them both disappear together on a road trip before Eddie gets arrested. Currently it's only 3 chapters in with 37,599 words, but so much has already happened and I just love it.

Eek! Another Steddie fic where Eddie is involved in all the Upside Down stuff since s1. Currently in the middle of s2 with 110,000 words in. The character development in this story is just top-notch. I swear this couldn't have been done any better. Can't wait for the next chapter.

Just Close Your Eyes ( the sun is going down ) by httphimbo

A hunger games au fanfic with steddie. I don't even know how I managed to come across this, but I'm so glad I did. I just remember going, hey that's a TS lyric so it's gotta be good, and then immediately getting hooked by the storyline. Every chapter leaves me on the edge of my seat. I'm so gone for this one guys. It's a WIP, but there's already over 25,000 words and it's a little over half-way in.

9, 14, and 21 for the relationships asks?

9.) When you write, do you plan out the stages of a relationship, or just let it flow? Do you have any works where the characters seem to "write themselves"?

I'm much more of a seat of the pants type writer than a planner, so I'm much more likely to just let it flow. But at the same time, I'll often have at least a general idea of the phases of the relationship. The whole friend to crush to mutual pining nonsense to crashing ridiculously into dating sort of thing. Or variations thereupon. :D

There've definitely been a lot where the characters seem to write themselves, though. The Pied Piper's Army of Rats series has both to some degree. There've been some changes here and there, but once I started working on it the series has followed the general plan for the Cisco/Hartley ship from the start. The two of them having to learn to trust each other, then become reluctant friends, start noticing there's this attraction brewing, move in together to get Hartley out of STAR Labs and further from Eobard's control, the Out of Time/Rogue Time event really polarizing their feelings for each other and demonstrating that in two separate timelines Hartley chooses protecting Cisco over his own safety, and then finally they hook up afterwards.

There's still stages to go, getting comfortable with living together as a couple all of a sudden and Hartley still wanting a space that his sister can move into with him when she turns eighteen. (It's been hinted at, but Jerrie's doing late admissions to local colleges in Central & Keystone that offer things she's actually interested in, but knows her parents won't support her through. She's done regular admissions already for the 'approved' places for business and science degrees she has no interest in.)

But then the other big ship of the series was Barry/Iris/Eddie which swung in out of nowhere and refused to be quiet. I just love Westhallen too much, I couldn't resist the opportunity to slide it in. And, honestly, those three just work. I don't really have a set plan for them, to be honest. I'm just winging it. Which, admittedly, may be why the latest fic in that series is yet unfinished. But I'll get there.

14.) Are there any relationship dynamics/tropes you want to write in the future, but haven't yet?

I've been inspired to write Reverb/HR - definitely a bit of a crack ship there. And that'll likely take the sunshine/grumpy dynamic to much more of an extreme than I've taken it before. So that's a specific one that's coming up.

But overall, I'm not really picky about the relationship tropes I write. I'll probably eventually even write something with Hanahaki disease in it, just so that I will have tried it once for the challenge of it. The more I write, the more I realize that some things I write not because they are tropes or ships I specifically like, but because I enjoy the challenge that writing those things presents. It's why I like fix-fic writing, because there's definitely a challenge there in taking something that feels broken to me in some way and determining how to make it work better.

I think this is why I'm looking forward to getting around to the mpreg request fic I was sent. Though I'm also kind of glad it's far down on the list of fic requests, since it is out of my usual comfort zone. Gives me a lot of time to figure out how I want to make it work - backstory on the characters for how they reach the point of wanting to have kids, the circumstances for which its possible, how much real science can I use to back up the hand-wavey fictional science... and then also writing it in a way that it can still be an enjoyable fic for those who might not usually read that trope but are still choosing to give it a chance. (Like myself, though I've still read plenty of it over the years.)

21.) Not all relationships are romantic. What's your favorite non-romantic relationship that you've written about?

Lisa and Hartley as QPPs. Clicking as friends at first but the later coming to realize how important they are to each other and how comfortably they've just kind of come to living together... the Missy Verse is probably one of my favorite little ongoing series because of them. I may not add to the series a lot, but when I do it tends to be heavy on the side of looking at how their relationship grows from a regular platonic relationship into a much more queerplatonic ship.

so like, here's the thing:

hen is observant

sometimes you just gotta be. sometimes you gotta know to read all the people around you so you know who's a threat, who's a mess, who's gonna need an extra pick-me-up at the end of the day

and sometimes it's just, like, fun to know what's going on with everyone else

but when it comes to buck and eddie????? god, hen has no fucking clue

she watches them sometimes - eddie puts a hand on buck's shoulder, buck grabs eddie's bicep, they fling their arms across each other's shoulders - but it's all innocent! easy! there's no romantic tension she's picking up on, there's no love-filled gaze she can find to intercept

but???? sometimes they just say things. like, eddie will ask buck if he's done the grocery shopping. buck. who doesn't live with eddie, but apparently does his grocery shopping????

oh! and they'll compliment each other. excessively. regularly. buck's hair looks good and eddie looks great with stubble and those jeans are nice, man, as if buck wasn't totally looking at eddie's ass, come on!

see and she doesn't even think they're uselessly, pathetically pining. that's too obvious. she would know.

it's either that they're together and they're just very good at hiding it, or they're just best friends who are like that.

and well, call hen nosy, but she wants to know

so she visits eddie's house very early one morning. she works up a whole excuse in her head - i'm here to pick up the tray i left behind at the last potluck on my way to many other errands this fine morning - and she plans to just....... see

of course, she sees more than she bargained for

because buck opens the door shirtless

the boy has never learned of modesty, it seems

he's very confused at her visiting at 7am on a wednesday, but hen lies like a champ and buck frowns and gestures her inside, and she takes her little look around, and....

god she can't even tell.

there's a blanket screwed up over the couch and a cushion that seems to have fallen on the floor - buck might have slept on it or they might have not cleaned it up from the night before

and the photos! god the photos - they're everywhere. buck and eddie and christopher; they're on the walls, on the sideboard, the mantle. but they're just sprinkled around, between other photos. there's no secret wedding photo that she's missed - just days out at the zoo or the park or the beach

she doesn't even know what to make of the photo strip on the fridge from a fair - they look so happy and she just cannot tell if this is brotherhood or romance

(she could ask them, but a) its not her place to pry, b) she could be interfering if they aren't together yet, and that's against the rules of the firehouse bet about them, and c) she just really wants to figure it out, okay?)

buck gives her the tray and asks if she wants a coffee, but he clearly doesn't mean it as he yawns the whole way through the question, so she declines and begins to head out, having learnt nothing new--

and then eddie walks out of his bedroom

also shirtless, because neither of them know to cover up in front of a lady

and smiles politely at hen, wishing her a good morning

she's on her way out, and the two follow her to the door. she takes one look back from the porch and sees eddie throwing his arm around buck's bare shoulder.

she just has no idea

maybe next time she'll try and set up one of the boys on a date and see if the other gets jealous - but knowing them, they would've planned ahead and would remain totally calm the whole time

hen gets in the car and resolves that one day, she'll figure it out; the mystery that keeps her on her toes

(back in eddie's house, the minute the door is closed, eddie asks why was she here so early?

she came to pick up her tray, i don't know, buck replies. she was acting weird the whole time - especially when you came in

that's odd. eddie shrugs. they've all been acting like that recently - watching us super close

i mean, they all know we're dating, dont they? maybe they're just being weird.

buck kisses eddie, because that's what you do when you're six months into a relationship. its probably best that they dont address this morning with hen - whatever's up with her will probably fix itself)

brokeback derry and everything else by Amuly, rated E

27 years in between, richie and eddie reconnect in their 20s and meet back up in derry twice a year to remember and love each other before going back to their lives and forgetting. so much pain. there’s a lot of sweet stuff in there, but you can see shit’s gonna get complicated from miles away and the anticipation almost gave me stomach ulcers (in a good way). ultimate angst with a happy ending.

another “they meet and fall in love without remembering” fic, and even though it’s not complete yet, it gets regular updates. oh, also, i’m obsessed with it. they’re long distance fuck buddies who can’t admit they’re in love, and then they get hit with the childhood memories! and everyone lives! what’s not to love!  also PLEASE read kisses take like mint and every other reddie work by this author, they are all fantastic

AU where adult reddie meet at a first aid seminar for work (immediately fall in love), become friends, become best friends, and finally get to be happy. has some super repressed eddie and intensely pining richie, which is always fun, and genuinely made me laugh out loud. also please check out this author’s other reddie fics, there’s some super sweet kid reddie in there that really warms the heart

the mind's a funny fruit by joldiego, rated T

eddie wakes up barely alive in derry, has 0 memory, calls himself richie, and moves in with some lesbians. an absolute must read that ought to be on every reddie fic rec compilation. i read this a long time ago and just thinking about it makes me want to read it again.

now what i'm gonna say may sound indelicate [WIP] by IfItHollers, rated E

it took me entirely too long to find this fic since i joined the fandom, and it’s truly a fucking masterpiece. it’s almost at 200k now and still unfinished, and the slow burn is excruciating, but this is a legendary fic for a reason. eddie spends the first chunk of this fic in the hospital recovering from the massive chest wound, and then he and richie move the recovery to ben’s cabin in the woods. the author’s notes for each chapter are a story in themselves

signs of a new lifetime by swordfishtrombones, rated T

one of the sweetest, most romantic reddie fics i’ve ever read. a fresh take on a classic concept: post-ch2, they’re in love, they haven’t said/done anything about it yet, BUT!!! it’s not angsty! they are all cute and giggly like “you say it first!” “no, you say it first!” and it makes me fucking MELT

back-to-back recs from the same author! bc i love these fics so much! sort of similar to the last one in that they both know what’s up and just haven’t said it, but this one’s got the angst! i didn’t know when i read it that it was the same author as the other fic, and i thought how funny, i found another reddie author that perfectly captures this pair in such a wonderfully romantic way! i also just noticed there’s a follow up to this so now i have to go read that immediately

for the love of god please read this and the other work in this series. it’s a ch-2 fix-it with some intense action sequences and major pining, and it has haunted me since i first read it

okay this one is really just 30k of pure smut but it’s also so sweet and features a mini sexual awakening for eddie and some insecure richie with an emphasis on how much they love and trust each other. also it doesn’t hurt that the smut is fire, like does anyone else want that twink obliterated, or is it just me?

eddie lives, richie confesses, things are chill and then they’re not. richie’s career flourishes, which is always nice to read and is what ultimately catalyzes eddie’s gay awakening and realization of his love for richie. it’s got some sad angsty parts and a very sweet ending, and it up there as one of my favorite reddie fics of all time

richie and eddie break up [WIP] by skeilig, rated M

a refreshing and realistic take on life ch-2 for the losers, because being in love at thirteen doesn’t mean you can fall into a perfect relationship at 40. i’ll admit, i’m hoping this will ultimately be a “richie and eddie get back together” fic, but it’s still a very good read (and often very funny in the second chapter) at the moment in the midst of their break up

i resisted reading this fic for so long, recently broke and binged all of it, and now i’m like frothing at the mouth for updates. richie’s a closeted actor/comedian who meets eddie, a professional Dom, when he needs help researching a role. they become friends, they develop crushes, richie realizes he’s a sub, and it’s just so much fun to read

there’s a lot more fics to rec so i might add on to this in the future, but in the meantime my biggest tip for for reading fanfiction that took me embarrassingly long to figure out: focus on the authors! if you read something you like, check out the rest of the work by that author bc odds are you’ll like that too. i mentioned it in a few specific works above, but check out the authors catalogues for these fics. if i included every work by these authors that i loved, this list would be miles long

Okay, just a few thoughts after watching 4x07/4x08/4x09 and 4x10...

(I know, I'm catching up fast hahaaha)

Blind Dates because why not?

So, let me see, Eddie is with Ana, and Buck is jealous and trying to express his true feelings by reading the book 5 Love Languages as I wrote in my previous meta here.

Now, what dies Buck after this? (I'm sorry But I have to compare this situation to Destiel in season 10). When Dean comes back from being a demon, Castiel is jealouse because Dean had been with Croqley the whole time, the "summer of love", as Sam calls it. So, what did Castiel say when Dean praised him about his looks? Practically, he says: THERE'S A WOMAN IN MY CAR WAITING FOR ME.

And Dean is like WTF DUDE? YOU CHEATED ON ME?, and immediately after that... Dean has a dates app. And he goes for a blind date.

So, why this ship (Buddie) wouldn't follow the same trope?

It does. That's why we had Buck going to a blind date he got from a dating app. Voila! Because it socks. Poor Buck.

"Traitor" Albert? Or "Traitor" Eddie?

Let's check this again...

Buck could be playing the traitor role here, with his broken heart, but we won't talk about it. Because the traitor is Albert. Yes. Oh no wait... it's not him...

Okay, Buck is projecting on Albert all his frustrations and feelings and brokenhearted about Eddie, why? Because he CAN'T STILL TALK ABOUT IT, HE CAN'T EXPRESS IT AS HE WISH. So, it's easier to blame Albert fo his misery, because Albert is his friend and Buck sees him as a friend. So easy yo blame him, call him traitor because he dated that failed blind date girl. It's easier to feel he is the third wheel between them, and not the third wheel between Eddie and Ana. One doesn't hurt, and the second hurts like hell.

Taylor coming without her will, to the rescue and Buck calling her FRIEND, it's another sign that speaks about in which level we are with Buck. Buck is not focused on getting a woman. He wants Eddie. He sees Taylor as friend too. The only person Buck doesn't see as a friend is Eddie.

More examples of this? Okay, but I need to talk about another Destiel parallel here...

Pining so Loudly

Eddie's big date with Ana is here! Oh no wait, it wasn't that great, right? She taught him maths... what kind of date is that? Not a hot date, believe me.

But well, Buck doesn't know about this, and he is just babysitting Christopher, also maybe making Christopher to call his dad several times during the date? Just saying because Eddie said I'M SORRY AGAIN, when he picked up his phone. Again means... it wasn't the only tome in that date he had to answer to his son (and Buck). Very, very McDanno, right?

But i wanted to compare this with one of the most destiel episodes in the show, the infamous 9x06, in which Dean drives Castiel to his date. And he just stays in his car pining for the angel.

I had the same vibes when I watched Eddie coming back to his home and Buck saying: you're late. And ghe exchange of heart eyes gave me cavities. But well... thing is... Buck has not problems about asking Albert about his date, but he stutters, and babbles and goes all nervous when he has to ask Eddie about his date with Ana? Okay, do you see the difference I wanted to point here? Because IT'S LOUD.

Albert's Accident foreshadowing Eddie's

Episode 9x10, Albert is in bad shape but we had a baby born at the same time. What does it mean?

Because Buck made Albert his Eddie punch ball, we know something bad will happen to Eddie because it happened to Albert.

Now, the newborn... what does it mean? I think is very symbolic and represents Buck realizing HE LOVES EDDIE and not in a platonic way. Desperate to make Eddie to see him in the ambulance, to open his eyes, as a parallel with Chim trying to make his brother to wake up and open his eyes. Romantic love and brotherly love.

I'm sure We spot the difference...

the end scene for community s3 e4 because those idiots dancing around a room gives me so much serotonin it is unreal. i have lost track of the amount of times i’ve watched that scene this year, it’s just so good and wholesome

ummmm i can’t remember the episode because it is late and i am too lazy to google but the orphan black scene where they’re all dancing bc they just dodged a major bullet and i just love it so much bc it makes me Happy. also the song choice just slaps so hard i love it

the scene after beth wins the world championship and we see everyone who supported her lose their minds??? one aspect that wasn’t in the book that i loved so much like the abandoned orphan girl made something of herself and had people who loved and supported her and ugh the love i have for the queen’s gambit is something else

also jatp scene at the end when they realise they can touch each other….. luke and julie holding each other’s faces is something that just means a lot to my touch starved self

Gen, gay pining, friends taking care of each other, the whole package.

Yuletide 2017: Dear Creator Letter

 Dear Author,

All of the general likes and dislikes listed in the main part of the sign-up form apply, but I just wanted to use this to expound on the ships and provide some prompts. You don’t necessarily have to go with any of them, anything that fits my general likes is fine if those speak to you better than the prompts do.

Maeve Millay/Hector Escaton- Westworld (TV)

In my opinion, these two have the most interesting and complex relationship in the entire show. Its gradual development and the emotional depths it reaches as the first season goes on hits all of my sweet spots: tenderness only expressed for each other, badass team-ups, both fighting for similar causes, him willing to follow her anywhere, sacrificing for each other, the relationship starting as something kind of casual but becoming much more intense and closer to love near the end. I’m more than okay with PWP with them, but honestly they have so much more that I would be ecstatic to also see some ~emotions~ come into play with any kind of PWP (lol pun not intended). 

Anyway here are a few prompts for them if you’d like to use them:

Maeve makes it back but Hector doesn’t remember anything from their relationship and she has to fight to bring him back to her

Happily Ever After scenario where Maeve is reunited with her daughter and the three of them try to make a go of being a family

Despite not knowing who she is, Hector is fiercely jealous of anyone Maeve interacts with

Maeve and Hector make it into the real world and explore what the West in reality has to offer (sleeping under the stars, enjoying nature, building a house together, etc.). Can include Maeve’s daughter for extra domestic fluff.

Eleanor Shellstrop/ Tahani Al-Jamil- The Good Place (TV)

The existence of this show is a gift and while I ship Eleanor with both Chidi and Tahani, I’m craving more stories between Eleanor and Tahani; love me some size difference. But also, I really love how opposite they are in terms of personal interests and lifestyles, but when they work together or just get along casually, they make a super sweet, adorable team. 

Here a few prompts:

Tahani and Eleanor finding creative ways to get around the height difference between them

Kinda porny, but I would be down for their first time having sex where Eleanor has some experience, but is still nervous cause it’s Tahani and does her best, but Tahani hasn’t really had much experience at all so she loves whatever Eleanor is doing (I’d be mostly ok with eating out, fingerfucking, or scissoring, nothing gross that hits my dislikes)

Tahani trying to find the perfect, over-the-top to tell Eleanor how much she loves her, but Eleanor reassuring her that she doesn’t need to prove anything to her, she’s already perfect

Anything exploring the version of the Good Place where Tahani was Eleanor’s soulmate, porn, feelings, domesticity, partnering to figure out what’s happening (can also have bittersweet ending since that version gets erased)

Ethan Hunt/Benji Dunn- Mission Impossible (Movie Series)

Probably one of the most canon, but not actually canon relationships in any movie series ever, especially when you track their development from workplace acquaintances in Mission Impossible 3, to basically married in Mission Impossible 5. Kind of a Q/Bond vibe except with actual interaction through three whole movies and genuine emotional depth in their bond (and Benji gets to go into the field). Their rapport is great, the love is obvious, and just in the span of one movie they cover at least 3-4 different romantic tropes, so yeah they’re amazing. 

Prompts: 

 Already established relationship but the team doesn’t know and they decide to get married and the team STILL doesn’t know until it comes up casually in conversation or during a mission

Ethan comes back from a mission badly hurt and Benji stays with him, dressing his wounds since they can’t risk a hospital and of course, sex happens

The old classic, pretending to be in a relationship for the sake of a mission but it’s awkward since they’re pining for each other except Benji’s trying to keep his feelings in check and Ethan wants to use this an opportunity to make a move on Benji

Ethan finds himself irrationally jealous when Benji either has to seduce someone for the sake of a mission or is close to someone else at IMF and he finds a way to stake his claim. Can either be established relationship or pining for each other. 

Lorraine Broughton/Delphine Lasalle- Atomic Blonde (movie)

Oh boy, not only was this relationship simultaneously red-hot and super sweet, it was canon! The ending is garbage, but two capable spy women falling for each other in the 80s is exactly my jam and I basically want nothing but happy AUs for these two.

Prompts: 

Everything in the movie still happens except that Lorraine lied about Delphine being dead. She managed to survive and as soon as the interrogation is over Lorraine disappears from the CIA and reunites with Delphine somewhere far away and two live happily ever after

Student and College Professor AU

All the ways Lorraine told Delphine she loved her and all the ways Delphine always knew

Delphine attracts plenty of attention both on purpose and by accident and Lorraine has no qualms about destroying anyone who tries anything

Eddie Kaspbrak/Richie Tozier- IT (2017 movie)

So yeah, just like virtually everyone else, I fell in love with their rapport and relationship after watching the movie. These two are basically two halves of a whole and I seriously love how much they banter and bicker but are also fiercely protective of each other. Eddie never forgets Richie and Richie would go anywhere for Eddie. I could wax poetic about how amazing the two of them are together and there’s so much potential for fanfic, especially considering there’s a whole second movie to speculate on in regards to their relationship as adults. The one thing I want to stress though, if you decide to go the PWP route, that they be consenting adults over 18. Anything lighter than that, like kissing/making out, is fine with them as pre-teens.

Prompts:

Eddie is a fierce fighter when angry and I kinda want a spin on the “protective boyfriend” trope that’s been cropping up in their fics. Richie and Eddie are cornered by bullies but they pick on Richie this time and break his glasses/hurt him and Eddie just...loses it. He fights back so savagely they’re scared off and Richie makes a big show about what a “big hero” Eddie is, but is actually in awe. Would be great if ended in fluff/kisses, can be established relationship or not.

Fic set in the future/second movie where they both come back to Derry as adults and old feelings bubble to the surface. They try not to give in, but fail especially when they face Pennywise again and decide to try and make a life together in the aftermath. (Despite the ending in the book, I only want a happily ever after for these two).

A third, Pennywise-free reunion reveals to the rest of the Losers that Richie and Eddie married and adopted a kid. Everyone gets emotional and smothers the kid with affection.

Richie has become more touhy-feely with Eddie after the summer of 1989 and Eddie, even though he knows he shouldn’t, really likes it

Holland March/Jackson Healy- The Nice Guys (movie)

They’re so married it’s ridiculous. Honestly my favorite odd couple since forever, there’s genuine love for each underneath the facades and rapport. The chemistry is perfect and their situation is perfectly set-up for Jackson to be Holly’s second dad. Anything involving them living together or figuring out how to be more than partners or just falling into married, domestic bliss without the marriage part is highly encouraged. 

Prompts: 

Holland has to seduce someone for a case. Jackson doesn’t deal with it well. 

Holland realizes that Holly tells Jackson things she doesn’t tell him and it unnerves him until he puts two and two together and realizes she’s behaving as if she has two parents again.

Jackson and Holly make the best team when it comes to tormenting Holland.

Jackson and Holland want a nice quiet night of sex just for themselves but keep being interrupted because they have a daughter and parents never get to rest.
