ok so assuming that orv takes place in the year it came out they’re all from 2018 right?
wrong. I am about to tell you something that might be very funny.
TWAS was written 13 years before orv starts right?
and since it’s regression and everyone’s busy with the world ending it hasn’t really moved past that.
guys. This means Joonghyuk is from 2005. He’s a pro gamer pre iPod pre YouTube pre Minecraft era. This mother fucker be playing doom 3, snake on his Nokia (the most popular phone of the 2005s) and minesweeper for his pro gaming I bet. How the fuck do you make money as a pro gamer pre streaming services did so many arcade machines and fish games have his name on them that people are calling him for national tournaments? Like what is going on here.
or the alternative is that Han sooyoung wrote it to take place in the future which is more realistic but less funny. Still very fucking good. Do you think she ever slipped and Dokja learned about like. iPhones several years before hand.

Steve Harrington x fem!reader [1.9k] prompts: "you're so fucking cute" and "I think I'm in some kind of love with you." Soft Steve, babysitter vibes, confessions.
“You’re so fucking cute,” Steve grinned.
“Stop!” Your voice came out a little more whiny than you wanted it to, but you were annoyed, wound up, and your boyfriend was enjoying it immensely.
He poked at your cheek, gentle and teasing, smile still on his lips as he laughed at your reaction. You swatted at him, trying so hard to keep the grin off of your face, trying to hide it with a scowl.
You rolled away instead, sheets mussed underneath you as you shoved your face into Steve’s pillow. You’d barged into his room almost unannounced, the boy not expecting your arrival for at least another hour, due to the fact that you were very much still supposed to be babysitting.
But a trip to the arcade turned somewhat confrontational after you’d spotted some kids barging their shoulders into Dustin’s side, doing their best to shove him out of the way of the machine they had no patience to wait for.
Max and Lucas had immediately stood at his side but these boys were older, taller, had a little more strength and viciousness behind their gangly limbs.
You’d heard the torment start from the other side of the arcade, where you’d been sitting with a book, the neon lights flashing over your pages as you tried your best to block out the sounds of change pouring from machines, tickets spitting out of games and alarms ringing with every win.
There was jeering, swears that were spat from mouths that were too young to really know what they meant and when they rounded on Max, the girl defiant and fiery, as she stood in front of Dustin. You’d leapt to your feet, book on the floor, pages crumpled as you stepped on it in your rush.
The boys had started talking about Billy, about Max’s mom, her stepdad that couldn’t walk down Main Street in a straight line. You had rounded the corner, hip hitting off of the Pac-Man machine just as Lucas was stepping forward, fist raised.
You’d grasped his wrist before it swung, determined that you weren’t dropping any of the kids off home with bruised eyes and spit lips. You’d pushed them behind you instead, one arm holding Max who’s eyes had turned glassy and you faced the teens, all of them wide eyed and stuttering.
You hadn’t meant to get chucked out of the arcade. Not really.
But it turned out that your choice of words weren’t suitable for the kids around you, the ones that had all stopped to watch you rip into these high school bullies, who were all too tall and too old to be messing with your kids.
The manger had eventually trudged over, a small crowd gathering around you as you predicted their future with mean words that made Dustin cackle. Maybe you shouldn’t have used the words ‘virgin, unemployed, loner and mouth breather’ in the one sentence, and sure, maybe it was a little immature for someone of your age.
But Max had stopped crying and Lucas didn’t wanna fight the world anymore, so it was worth it. Even when you had to drop them home early, their pocket change was still rattling in their jeans after you all got told you weren’t allowed back until next week.
You groaned again, voice muffled by the pillow and scent of your boyfriend.
“I can’t believe I got us all banned.”
Steve snorted, running a comforting hand up and down the back of your bare thigh, your shorts riding up from where you’d thrown yourself down, aghast and little embarrassed at your own actions.
“It’s only for four days, babe, the kids will survive.” Steve stretched himself out beside you, pressing kisses into your hair until you turned, cheek squished against the mattress and looking at him. “Besides, I’m pretty sure you’re Dustin's new hero.”
You huffed out a laugh, a sound that Steve took as a reward, beaming at the smile that was now curling around your lips. He let his gaze roam over your features, soft and pretty, and he thumbed at your bottom lip.
You pushed a kiss to it, loving the way it made his eyes flash with something a little more, a little warmer but you judged him with your shoulder, teasing in another way.
“You jealous, Harrington?”
He barked out a laugh, arms folding around you as he flopped back into his pillows, bringing you against his chest. You wiggled against him until you found your spot, leg thrown over his, head on his chest and tilted up so you could look at him.
“What of?” He mused, a rumble in his chest as he dropped his voice a little lower, lips on the high of your cheek. “Your newfound legend status with Dustin or those twerps at the arcade?”
You scrunched your nose, confusion written on your face as you moved over him, body cradled between his spread legs and your chin perched on top of your hands that lay against Steve’s abdomen. You were laying against his hips, chest pressed up against sensitive areas and you watched the face his lips parted at the feel of you. You grinned, knowing.
“Why the hell would you be jealous of some high schoolers that still pick on kids at the arcade?”
Steve shrugged, faux nonchalance dancing over his features and when he looked down at you his eyes shone. He picked at a strand of your hair, curled it round his fingers and grinned.
“I don’t know,” he murmured, “you’re hot when you’re angry.”
“Steve!” You groaned, cheeks flushed and warmth ran through you as you butted your head into his chest. “You’re a fucking menace.”
He laughed, a sound of genuine joy as he pulled you up his body, pressing kisses to wherever he could reach until you met him halfway, lips pushed to his in a kiss that slowed as it deepened.
You leaned back a little, still spread out across Steve’s chest, legs tangled and you sighed, soft and happy as you looked down at the boy, wondering if you could keep him forever. He was looking back at you the same way, as if you were made of magic and gold dust, a smile on his face that made you feel unsteady.
Steve parted his lips, as if he was going to say something before he closed them again. You watched him bite down his bottom lips, thinking hard before he finally spoke.
“Y’know,” he whispered, voice a little rough and low, “you didn’t have to do what you did today.”
You frowned, nose bumping against his in a soft display of disagreement, “what? Of course I did, Steve.”
“No, no, I mean,” he licked his lips, gaze on your mouth, flicking to your eyes and softening. “You didn’t have to stick up for them like that, you could’ve left with them. But I know the kids appreciated it, shit, I appreciated it.  ‘Cause Max… Max doesn’t have a lot of people who would do that for her now.”
“Oh, right,” you nodded, body sinking into Steve’s at the realisation. You hummed thoughtfully, chin back on your perch on his chest, head tilted to the side. “I’d fight for all of them, y’know. Always.”
You wondered when that happened. At what point this gang of misfits with their smart mouths and homemade gadgets, skateboards and dungeon masters, had become part of your life, maybe even your family - a bunch of kids with their hot babysitter with all that hair and charm.
“Demogorgons or sixteen year old assholes. They’re lucky I didn’t have your bat,” you mused and Steve laughed, his chest rumbling underneath you.
He hummed in agreement, bringing his hand to cup your cheek and he smoothed a thumb over the top of your nose, down over your Cupid’s bow and the curve of your lips. Everything he did was soft, warm and he was looking at you like he didn’t understand how he could be so lucky.
“I think,” he started, and you could’ve sworn he held his breath, “I think I might be in some kind of love with you.”
The admission made you pause, your body tense as the words washed over you. It felt like waves at your feet, the heat of a campfire, the feeling you got in your stomach when you hurtled over the edge of the first drop on a rollercoaster.
You saw the nerves in Steve’s eyes, the twist of doubt on his lips as he played with the hem of your shirt sleeve, a weak attempt at being casual despite the words he just told you for the first time.
You played along, running circles over his chest with your fingers.
“Oh yeah?” You asked, a smile in your voice, a new warmth making it impossible for you to sound anything but elated. You felt weak. “Some kind?”
“All kinds,” Steve confirmed, gaze still lowered and not quite meeting yours. His breath was a little shaky. “Every kind.”
You grinned, cheeks sore from it and you wriggled out of his grasp so you could shuffle up the length of him a little more, legs splayed across his thighs until you were straddling him, leaving down until your chest was pressed against his and you could take his face in your hands.
He must’ve seen your smile, it must’ve been contagious, ‘cause he was smiling back , lips lifted at the corners like a weight had been lifted.
Your fingers splayed across the sharp line of his jaw, your thumb pulling a little at his bottom lip and you sighed when it parted for you. You pressed a kiss there, fierce and full of love and the boy barely let you pull away as you spoke.
“Really?” You mumbled against his mouth, teeth clicking ‘cause you were both full of smiles and soft laughter. You tried to act surprised when you spoke, everything about you full of sunshine and light. You felt weightless.  “That’s so weird.”
Steve hummed against you, one arm tight around the small of your back and he pulled you in for another kiss, a little messy and desperate now.
“What’s weird?” He murmured, sounding like he already knew where this was going.
You pushed your lips into his neck, dripping open mouth kisses there before brushing the tip of your nose with his own.
“I’m all kinds of in love with you too.”
You wondered if your own eyes were sparkling the way Steve’s were, bright and shining and like they held the entirety of summer inside them. You wondered if his chest hurt like yours, your heart hammering so hard that you wouldn’t have been shocked if he could hear it, feel it thumping against his own.
You felt like wildflowers were blooming between the spaces in your ribs, like you suddenly had the sun in your chest and the entire solar system in your eyes. You felt magic. You felt loved.
Steve was still grinning, a smile that lit up his entire face, turning his brown eyes to honey and he brought you back to him for another kiss, urgent and full of everything he’d always wanted to say.
“Well damn, sweetheart,” he murmured against you, mouth  too busy to move away from your kiss, his words pressed into your still parted lips. “How ‘bout that?”

︿︿︿︿︿︿ ✎ᝰ . . . .
‘You have given extensive thought behind your decision and give “Brighter Days Inc.” the exclusive permission to remove this person from your memory:’
Stopping your pen under the last word, you hesitate.
‘Maybe this was a bad idea,’ you think with a soft sigh, glancing at the woman in the room across from you; one seat for her, and another for her box of memories. Yours sits beside you, the weight of what you’re about to do hits you quickly, and suddenly any notion of even looking at the box makes it feel like a ticking time bomb.
The woman across from you strokes a thumb across what must be her late pets collar, and you quickly revert your gaze down to the sheet of paper again. The tip of your pen hovers over the “No” option, but drifts over to the “Yes” box, checking it off, and finally, signing your name at the bottom of your page.
The necklace dangling over your neck feels like iron against fae skin as a nurse comes out of the back room, door quietly creaking open as she calls your name. You stand quickly, handing her the paperwork and the pen with trembling hands before grabbing the box labeled “Crosshair” and walking inside.
MEMORY WIPE INITIATED
“Please, Crosshair?” You beg sweetly, dragging him across the arcade to a claw machine, finally having a bit of free time on your shore leave.
You’d been trying to convince him to have a break together with the both of you for a while now, away from the boys and the riff raff of the military, but per usual, he was stubborn about it. He’d offhandedly said how childish it was of you to want to play games with him at an arcade instead of your usual… activities, on shore leave. But you got him to agree, seeing as he can barely ever resist how cute you look when you beg.
“Hellcat, this is ridiculous,” Crosshair crosses his arms and glares down into the machine at the plethora of stuffed animals inside. Your eyes had been on the small lothcat in the middle since the both of you had arrived, and you’ve bugged him about it enough that he considered it. “Even Wrecker knows these are rigged.”
“Where’s that overcompensating confidence?” You tease, pulling out a few tokens and placing them in his hand softly. You glance up at him with a soft and pleading look, one that you don’t yet know (and will never know) gets him weak in the knees. “Please, Crosshair? For me?”
At the sight of your big doe eyes, he scoffs, loading the coins in and barely holding back a smile at your excited squeals and the hand shaking his shoulder gently. It takes him a minute to get a hold on the controls, but after some peeking around the corner of the machine and some naturally perfect aim, he lowers the claw and catches the lothcat.
You gasp, watching excitedly as it stays in the claws grip as it moves over to the prize dump, and as Crosshair retrieves it for you and holds it out.
“Happy now?”
You grin down at the stuffed animal and then at Crosshair before lunging forward, arms wrapping around his shoulders with an breathless laugh, “Thank you.” You grin, nuzzling into the side of his head, and pulling away before he had to chance to hug back.
Overwhelmed with the happiness of the moment, you barely notice the room going dark before the feeling of Crosshair’s surprisingly warm gaze leaves you. You look up, eyebrows furrowing at the sudden void of the arcade.
MEMORY SUCCESSFULLY ERASED.
“Cross?”
“Yes?”
“Am I ugly?”
Crosshair’s gazes narrows, glancing at you as you lay under the covers of your bed. He lifts his arm to hold up the blanket better, glaring at you, but not angrily as tears begin to well in your eyes. He shakes his head firmly, grunting.
“When I was a kid I thought I was,” You started, having his full attention from the second you walked in the room. You scoff softly at yourself, “I can’t believe I’m crying already, sorry.”
Crosshair doesn’t reply, but instead simply reaches over and wipes your tears; a gesture he never would’ve done in the first months of the arrangement the two of you had, but things had changed. You’d changed him.
“I was so lonely as a kid,” You say softly, the words just pouring out of you. “I don’t think anybody realizes how lonely kids are, even after growing up. We just sort of stop paying attention. Like they don’t matter.”
You sniff, and Crosshair doesn’t seem to want you to stop, so you keep going; relishing in the feeling of his warm hand covering your cheek.
“So, I’m like… eight or so. And I have this really pretty girl doll, that I named after myself that I’d just get so frustrated with,” You wipe your nose with the back of your hand, expecting the embarrassment of sharing the personal memory to rise, but it never comes. “It was some standard I’d hold myself to and whenever I’d find myself not liking myself, I’d look at her and it’d get me so mad. I made it to encourage myself, but it was just a constant reminder of my shortcomings as a person. It’s weird. Like… if I can make myself that pretty, maybe people would finally like me,” You finally glance up to meet Crosshair’s gaze, finding that it’d softened into something unreadable to you.
He leans over and plants a firm kiss on your mouth, his hand sliding down to grasp the sides of your neck before he pulls back. His hands start wandering down with his mouth that keeps peppering you with kisses, softly murmuring the word ‘pretty’ between each kiss. You writhe under his touch, a hand rising to cover your mouth as a warmth shoots down to your lower stomach. You relish in how safe you feel under him before he… he…
MEMORY SUCCESSFULLY ERASED
“Why won’t you come home?”
Your voice echos through his head as he stares out into the vast horizon where Tipoca City used to stand; where the home he grew up in with his brothers and met you in used to stand. He scoffs, glancing back at you from over his shoulder.
“That is not my home anymore,” He says in a low tone; a warning to anyone else, but you knew you had a bit more leeway with him. Fists clenching at your sides, your gaze narrowed into a glare. “Now leave. Hunter’s staring after you like a kicked dog,”
You don’t bother to glance back at the man you already knew was waiting for you, but at the mention of his name he seemed to back further into the ship to give you some privacy, trusting that Crosshair wouldn’t hurt you, of all people.
“This isn’t about him, Crosshair,” You snapped, “Come home. Please. I need you, and so do your-”
“I don’t need you,” Crosshair says sternly, pivoting on a foot to turn to face you with a cold glare. You reeled slightly at the look; you’d seen it before, but never aimed at you. “I never had and I never will. And if you were as smart as you made yourself seem, you’d join me on the right side of the battle. Just like how I thought you and Hunter didn’t have anything going on,” You open your mouth to correct him; he knew there was nothing happening between Hunter and you. He was your best friend, but Crosshair beat you to the punch, “But I guess looks can be deceiving, huh?”
It felt like a clear blow to a vulnerable moment you’d shared with him— only him — and it nearly sent you to tears. You reached up, taking the necklace and snapping it off your neck with a harsh glare in the sniper’s direction; another look that had never been sent directly at him from you, but one that he found made his heart break.
“Fuck you, Crosshair.”
MEMORY SUCCESSFULLY ERASED.
The sense of overwhelming dread that filled your chest and sank down into your belly had you jolting awake, eyes darting around the mundane white room as the panic of what’s happening begins to set in.
The heart monitor picks up its speed, and the two nurses rush to your side as your hand shoots up to grab and fidget with your necklace. You’d fixed it from when… when…
Why did it need to be fixed? Who broke it?
Who gave it to me? What was his name? Cross…
The nurse grabs your shoulder as your throat tightens with your hands grip on the jewelry, “Can I keep this one? Please?” You sob, managing to smile through tears at the nurse to your right, “Please let me keep this one.”
‘Crosshair!’ You think, another sob scratching it’s way out of your throat. ‘What am I doing?’
The nurse glances to her coworker and nods gently. She comes to rest her hand over yours, and you let the necklace fall against your chest, but you rest a hand over it protectively. If you couldn’t save your memories of him, maybe this could be the one thing that you do save.
MEMORY WIPE RESUMED.
You can feel yourself being jolted around before finally landing in another memory, your head resting on a warm, firm shoulder and your hand gripped in a strong one in your lap. The person you’re resting your head on… they sit up, and hand you a box which reveals a necklace that relates to your namesake.
You grin, but the figure in front you shifts which causes you to look up.
Hunter.
He’s smiling at you softly, they way he almost always had; save for the first time he met you. You grin back to him, leaning forward on the couch from your kneeling postition to wrap your arms around his shoulders.
He returns your embrace without hesitation, and you allow yourself to feel how perfectly the both of your bodies meld together. The warmth of his body under the civvy clothes you held for him in your personal dormitories on Kamino sank under your own, causing you to pull away.
You barely notice how the room around you starts to shift, any objects affiliated with C4!@#??? begin to disappear, whatever holds your mind in it’s grasp seems determined to keep your attention on the sergeant sitting before you on the couch when you pull back from the hug.
‘Hunter gave it to me…’ You look up at him and smile lovingly, ‘of course he did,’ before leaning over and slotting your mouth over his.
MEMORY WIPE OF ??? COMPLETE.
The nurses gently help you up out of the chair, removing the device from your temples as the doctor comes to greet you. Another nurse holding a box hauls it out of the room as you shake the doctors hand and thank him profusely, grinning at the light and happy feeling on your chest as you turn to embrace the nurses in thanks. The woman at the front desk hands you an envelope of slips to give to your family and friends, and you thank her on the way out.
After leaving the office, you enter the outside of Pabu to find Omega waiting for you. Grinning you sneak up behind her, lifting her up and spinning her around. She shouts your name, but you can hear the smile in her voice as you set her down.
“How are you feeling?” She checks you over, and you smile dotingly down at her.
“I’m alright,” You ruffle through your bag, the feeling of the necklace against your chest making you feel giddy. ‘Why did I feel so bad about it before?’ You think, but quickly shake it off and pull out the envelope. “The secretary said to give this to family and friends, but I don’t think I’m supposed to see.”
Omega curiously takes the large orange envelope from your hands, opening it and reaching in to find a ticket that said that you had:
‘Y/N L/N has erased Crosshair (CT-9904) from her memory. Please never mention their relationship to her again.’
Omega glances up to where you’re walking off with an arm looped through Hunter’s and feels a sense of dread fall to the pit of her stomach.

Valentine's Day Special
Summary: Felix and you meet again years after highschool in a cafe on Valentine's day. When you two decide to go on a spontaneous multiple valentine's day activities spree, will past feelings sprout again?, will Felix finally answer your highschool self's confession?
Genre: fluff, highschool friends reunited(crushes)
Warnings: Mentions of Sex, Fireworks
Tumblr media
Your sister had kept you awake all night until 3 to help her decide what outfit she was to wear for her date with her boyfriend. Sleep was completely lost so you had decided to go on a long jog at 6 am and then got ready to hang out at a cozy cafe a few blocks down.
Ordering your usual latte with a slice of apple pie as you sit down at a table near the flower display outside, reading a book on your kindle enjoying the quiet despite the lack of sleep.
A deep voice speaks out of no where breaking your concentration as you look up in shock, finding a familiar face in front you...
"Hey miss is this seat free...?"
Those honey brown orbs, the galaxy like freckles spread on those plush fair cheeks and that cute heart like smile, The face not matching the voice at all as you come to realize who you were face to face with.
"...Felix?"
Tilting your head as you gasp softly and stand up with a bright smile, happy you encountered an old friend, said man looked down at your face in shock as he took in all your features. It was no doubt you were pretty but you looked so beautiful as the morning sun gave you your golden hour, eyes twinkling with golden orbs.
"Y/n..? Omg it's really you...!"
Felix smiled brightly as he suddenly pulled you in for a warm hug, which you happily reciprocated.
"I wasn't expecting to meet you here!"
Felix exclaimed happily as he pulled away and you both sat at your table to catch up on what's been going with your lives. A while later you got curious about why he was here all alone, fiddling with your fork and apple pie crumbs you finally decide to ask.
"Felix i was wondering why you are here all alone? That too so early in the morning?"
Felix chuckles as he sips on his drink while thinking of a way to word his reason without it being awkward
"Well its valentine's day and I am single but all my other friends are dating I woke up to one of them having morning sex so yeah I had to make my escape so i came here..."
"Oh..."
Felix laughs at the face you make as you nod sheepishly imagining how awkward the situation would have been.
"Either ways they probably would have teased me if I had stayed also I am avoiding social media so I don't get coerced into doing a stream because I am sure even my fans would tease me about being so lonely that I stream even on valentine's day"
You giggle as you imagine all the 8 year olds bullying an adult just because he doesn't have a partner. Suddenly a spontaneous idea comes up in your head as you quickly take Felix' hand and get up grabbing your stuff.
"You know what Felix let's go on a date right now! The one we were supposed to go to in highschool but never could because I moved away. I mean if that's okay with you...?"
Felix grinned as he nodded eagerly making all the uncertainty in your head disappear. You smiled as you took his hand in yours and left the cafe after paying.
Finding yourself at a retro arcade that was empty as you and Felix buy a shit ton of coins for all the games. Trying out every single one from bunch of scammy claw machines to every car racing game.
Any game you found fun you would do. Tetris. You name it you played it. With the last coins you decided to play a boxy zombie game that looked like a stupid rip off minecraft as you tried to distract each other hoping the other would fall into the pit of zombie while trying to bridge with the jammed buttons of the machine. Finally you managed to bag the win for who bridged the farthest by kissing Felix's cheek to distract him.
Smiling as both you and Felix's hands are full holding bags full of the tacky toys and gifts he won for you from the claw machines and all the old timey snacks and games you had won from winning the competitive games as you walk next door deciding to play laser tag since you had won two tickets to it.
Coming out of the place as you whine childishly complaining that Felix was just too fast and he didn't win fairly since he literally picked you up and shot your tag with his laser. Felix in tow teasing you that you were just too slow and small to be able to win and his win was completely fair.
"Let's get lunch yeah?"
Felix asks as he smiles down at you as he takes your hand in his and leads you to the nearby beach that was 10 minute walk away. You guys come to a stop in front of a shack restaurant on the beach itself.
sitting on a table facing the sea as you guys order what you guys are gonna eat while talking about anything that came to mind like you were back in Highschool.
Finishing up lunch as the both of you decide to visit the shops at the beach before leaving, as you browsed shop after shop as you go into a very neon coloured shop looking around at all the vintage and retro stuff as you pick up some old pokemon cards blind packs and buy it while Felix is wandering around buying something of his own.
Now, walking to an old cinema as you chat about what anime movie you should watcha at the cinema. Both deciding 'My Neighbor Totoro' would be best as you go inside the cinema taking some artificially buttered popcorn as you sit down in the empty cinema giggling like middle schoolers.
"Hey Felix earlier I bought these old packs of pokemon cards wanna open them with me like when in highschool?"
You suggested, glad that it was dark in the theatre so that he wouldn't know you were blushing as you saw Felix chuckle as he pulled out what he had bought earlier. It was a bunch of old candy with no nutritional value just sugar. Pure sugar. You grinned remembering how you both used skip classes to watch anime at the library while opening pokemon cards and munching on candies just like this.
"Honestly Y/n I missed this. I missed us."
Felis whispered to you while sipping on his now watered down coke since the ice had melted, you looked at him, eyes full of emotion as you smiled softly.
"I missed us too alot, I wished that i had never moved away then maybe we would be spending this valentine's day as a couple not as just friends..."
Whispering sadly as you look back at the screen hoping you don't start crying.
You feel him take your hand in his as he squeezes it slightly.
"Who says we can't spend it as a couple?"
Felix asked straightforward about his intentions behind the question.
You looked up at him slightly in shock trying to gauge out the joke in his question and intent. He nodded to reassure you that he was saying the truth and what he wanted wasn't to joke with you, it was to be with you. A look into his eyes was all you needed to reassure yourself. Just as you opened your mouth to respond he pulled you in and kissed you. It was soft and warm and full of love, his lips soft against your own as he put his hands on your cheek holding you there as you reciprocate the action. Pulling away after a while as he smiles down at you, eyes beating the ones a certain heart eyed emoji has.
"I loved you before. I love you still. And I am sure I will keep on loving you. That's how much I feel about you Y/n, baking isn't any fun without you when i remember how much fun we used to have when we baked together."
You looked at Felix, eyes glossy with tears as you breathe out shakily, overwhelmed by emotions as you hug him close to you and whisper.
"I love you too, I tried so hard to move on convinced that you probably did too, but this its not just a highschool crush it goes beyond that and I don't want to lose the good memories of you. I don't want to lose you anymore not after i waited so many years..."
Felix smiled as he kissed your head and ran his fingers through your hair to comfort you as he spoke. The movie long forgotten.
"You aren't losing me hell even if you wanted to you won't be able to get rid of me now so don't be sad Sweets..."
"Sw-sweets...?"
You looked up at him blushing like crazy as he smiled and patted your head. He looked like a bright ball of sunshine whenever he smiled.
"Well I am assuming that this means we are a couple now so I am just calling my lovely girlfriend a cute nickname!"
"Well if I am sweets then you are Sunshine..."
You whined as took your cup of coke and drank to hide your blush.
"I don't mind darling"
The nickname teasing fest continued as both of you tried making each other blush by calling each other the cheesiest pet names.
It was 8 in the evening as both of you walked hand in hand now as a couple not friends. Smiling as you walked in a nearby diner and sitting down at the table as your eyes adjusted to the the 90s theme the diner was sporting.
Fishing out some spare change as you put it into the jukebox placed near your table as you grinned up at Felix playing the song that you always did in high school. 'Summer love' by One Direction playing as both of you grabbed your spoons pretending they were mics and singing the lyrics and dancing together like idiots in love which you were.
Dinner ended with you two full and satisfied as you walked to Felix's apartment to spend more time together. Both of you ended up playing mario kart as he started vlogging for memories. That's what he said.
Later you decided that both of you needed a sugar high after as if all that candy earlier didn't do a number on your blood sugar levels.
Both of you in his kitchen while trying to bake brownies at 12:50 am. Flour on both of you as you sprinkled choco chips on the brownie batter before putting it in the oven that Felix had pre heated. Closing the oven door as you get up when Felix suddenly wipes your face with a tissue to get rid of all the flour. You look at him, his face now absent of any flour from the playfight you had when he called you small. Leaning slightly to look at the time.
"Wanna do something? we can turn on the oven after we come back from the last adventure of today..."
You said as you take of the apron and take his hand leading him outside as you walk back to the beach.
"So what is this adventure about sweets?"
"You will see Lix..."
Smiling as you reach the beach and tell Felix to go and sit on a bench while you buy a few things. Coming back with two bags of stuff that Felix had no idea to what it would be used for. You looked at the time on your phone as you asked Felix to countdown with you while your eyes are focused at the sky.
Few seconds later bright explosions were visible. Fireworks everywhere. The colourful sparks littered the sky as you looked at Felix. He was absolutely beautiful, his eyes reflecting the colors in the sky as his hair flowed with the wind and his lips parted in amaze as he looked at you.
"My sister wanted to be extra for her date with her boyfriend so she decided on fireworks at the time when she had first met him."
Smiling back at Felix as you turned to look at the sky when suddenly Felix pulled you in to kiss you. Smothering you with kisses all over your face as you giggled under his attack. Few minutes later he stops as you smile and dangle the bag that you brought earlier in front of him.
"I brought sky lanterns and sparklers so we could have our own little light show..."
"I remember when all our friends went to that park at 12 am just to look at the sky lanterns that everyone released"
Felix said in response to your suggestion as you both pulled out the sparklers and played around for awhile, later taking the few sky lanterns and lighting them and releasing them while holding onto each other like the couples that were in the park the night you confessed to Felix while watching the sky lanterns float in the sky.
Watching as the sky lanterns you released float together while you hug each other. This may be a cheesy holiday for some but this was the day you found your love. The one that would stay forever with you. The love where you would go back home at 3 am and eat brownies and then cuddle and fall asleep on the couch.
This is your love and it is yours to keep forever and ever.
Because just like the sky lanterns you lit you burned bright for each other and would find your way to each other no matter how far you could be.
He was your sun, you were his star.

"Y'all", I hummed as I set my camera up.
I took a step back to show my full body.
"So I got asked out on a date", I said then clapped my hands together and looked at the camera.
"I hope I didn't underdress", I hummed as I ran my hands over my shirt. "I feel like it's a luh calm fit. Can never go wrong with cargo pants and some fours."
"Anyways I'm supposed to be meeting Jack at two. And it's currently", I started as I checked my phone. "Oh lawd it's one forty-five. I'll see y'all in the car."
.☆.
"He told me he like three minutes away so I'm just waiting for him. I left late and still made it before him", I said and shook my head. "Thats a shame."
A knock came from my window and I jumped. I furrowed my brows and turned to look.
I let my window down and side eyed him.
"Why would you scare me like that?", I asked.
"My bad", Jack chuckled. "You ready to go in?"
"Yeah let me grab my purse", I said before I let my window back up and he opened my door for me.
"Thank you", I told him after I got out the car and he closed the door.
"You're welcome", he said as I put my purse on my shoulder then locked my car.
"Say hey to the camera", I said as I turned the camera to face both of us.
He gave me a hug before waving at the camera.
"Hey", he said with a smile.
"So what they got in here?", I asked as we started walking towards the building.
"All types of games. Good food and drinks. Trust me you'll enjoy yourself", he hummed.
.☆.
"Alright so while we waiting for the lady to come back imma show y'all his outfit since y'all seen mine", I said before turning the camera around to Jack.
I zoomed it out to get his full fit. "Okay. He looking real clean, real fresh. You know per usual."
"Gotta make sure I'm looking good for the ladies always", he said and licked his lips.
"You can't be taking me on a date and tryna please the ladies at the same time", I said turning the camera to me.
"I'm kidding", he chuckled.
"Mmhm", I hummed and playfully rolled my eyes.
"If you two could follow me please", the receptionist said as she grabbed two menus before walking off.
I walked beside Jack as we followed her around the arcade.
My hand accidentally brushed against his a few times before he grabbed ahold of it.
I turned the camera down and showed him holding my hand before turning it back to my face.
I'm literally screaming on the inside right now.
"Alright. This will be your area. If you need food, drinks or anything just push this button and a waiter will be with you as soon as they can. All the games have unlimited play for three hours since you got the premium package", she said as she set our menus on the table. "Lastly if you have any problems don't be afraid to come to the front and tell me."
"Thank you", I said sweetly before she walked away.
.☆.
I set my camera up and pointed it towards the basketball game.
He tapped the card on the scanner.
"Three, two, one. Go!", the machine said before letting the balls out.
I quickly grabbed a ball and started shooting back to back. I looked over and saw Jack had a higher score.
I reached over, trying to block him for shooting.
"Kennedy come on you're cheating", he laughed as he moved back from me.
I laughed and stopped messing with him and shoot another ball.
"Player two wins!", the machine chimes.
"You tried to cheat and still lost", he chuckled.
"Not too much."
.☆.
"We found a baseball game", I said after I set my camera up.
I walked to the tablet and typed in our names.
"Okay what stadium we doing", I asked as I swiped through the different fields.
"Uh Tampa Bay."
I swiped through them then selected it.
"Imma put you up first."
"Wait you go first. You played softball, you got more experience than me", he said.
"That was in tenth grade", I chuckled.
"Still."
I playfully rolled my eyes and grabbed one of the bats before going into the batting cage.
I pressed my foot on the base and got in swinging position.
Pitching in three.. two.. one.
The ball shoot out the floor and I swung the bat but missed the ball. I turned back and looked at Jack.
"That was just a test swing", I hummed before turning back around.
"I'm not gone say anything", he chuckled.
Another ball shot out the floor, I swung the bat and hit the ball.
I ended up hitting fifteen of twenty balls.
"Let's see if you can beat that", I said as I put my bat back on the rack.
He walked in as I was walking out.
"Alright let's see if you can hit a home run", I said. "We aiming for a homer!"
He looked at me as he grabbed his bat. "A home run?"
"Yeah. Bring it home, bring it home."
He stepped on the home base and got ready to swing his bat.
The ball shot out the thing and he swung at it.
"Out the park", the game said.
"That's alright. I missed the ball completely the first time", I chuckled.
He shook his head and stepped on the base again.
He ended up hitting seven out of twenty.
"Y'all I won and he hating on me", I chuckled before he gently moved me out the way.
"She won by eight."
"I still won", I said pushing my way in front of him.
"Whatever."
.☆.
"The way it's looking I'm finna order everything on this menu", I said making Jack chuckle.
"Hot wings", he hummed before he chuckled. "That reminds me. You know I watched your last video?"
"You did?!", I said as I looked up at him again and my voice went up an octave. "You watched the whole thing? Beginning, middle and end?"
"The entire thirty minutes."
I looked away from him and back at the menu.
"You ready to order?", I asked changing the topic.
He chuckled. "Yeah."
.☆.
"So I just ordered some fries. They had good stuff on the menu but I didn't know if I'd eat it for real", I said and showed my food on the camera.
I moved the camera and showed Jack's food.
"He got tacos and hot wings. They look so good", I said and zoomed in on his plates.
I set my camera up to show both of us.
"You sure you don't want nothing else", he asked.
"I'm good", I hummed.
I started eating my fries and I could see Jack side eyeing me.
"Why you keep side eyeing me?", I asked turning to him.
"You eating dry fries Kenn."
"Ok and what about it? You know ion dip my fries in no condiments", I chuckled as he just stared at me.
"You gone be starving", he said and shook his head as he continued eating.
Can't lie I was looking over at his plates, his food looked so good.
"Can I have one of your tacos?", I asked and he smirked at me.
"I thought you didn't want anything else", he said, moving his plate over to me.
"I didn't. Them tacos just look good as hell", I said as I grabbed one.
I hummed in delight as I ate it. Taco was delicious.
"Let me get like two wings too", I said and he just laughed.
He slide the plate of wings between us.
"Why you laughing?", I asked while grabbing three flats of the plate.
"I thought you was good with just your fries", he chuckled before sipping on his drink.
"I am. I just wanted to try your food cause it looked good."
"Right", he chuckled.
.☆.
"Don't drop my camera", I warned him as we stood in the checkout line in the store inside the arcade.
"I'm not going to drop your camera calm down", he said as he checked hisself out in the veiwfinder.
"I'm cutting all yo footage out cause they don't want you all in they face like that", I chuckled. "Anyways.. show them the stuffed animal you picked out for me."
He turned the camera around and showed me smiling as I held up the stuffed animal.
"So cute", he hummed quietly.
"He said I couldn't leave empty handed so he said he'll get me this."
He turned the camera back to himself. "She said I could take her on another date. So, win win."
.☆.
"Be safe and text me when you make it home", he said as I started my car.
"I will. You be safe too", I hummed after fastening my seatbelt.
"Alright. Bye Kenn."
"Bye Jack", I said before he closed my door.
I bit my lip as I watched him walk to his car before looking at my camera.
"He know he- chile let me go home", I chuckled before putting my car in drive.
.☆.
"So as y'all can see I got my bonnet and sleeping clothes on and about to get in the bed. I'm just trying to a finish editing this video first."
I showed my laptop before putting it back down.
"Um I just wanted to say I had a nice lil date with Jack. Ian gone lie that's the most fun I done had in a while", I said with a smile. "I didn't really record everything cause I still wanted us to enjoy our time privately."
"But ion wanna say too much cause he already told me he watched the last vid. Ian say nothing too crazy but still", I chuckled. "Anyways I'll just use this as an outro while I'm here."
"Thanks for watching. Like, Comment and Subscribe. Road to three mill baby. And until next time, I love you guys. Byeeeee."

Ch 1 <-
Chapter 2: Yellow Brick Road
WC: 4946 | Ch 2/4 | AO3 <-
They’d been walking for quite a while, nothing to see save for the fields of corn spread out on one side of them, wheat on the other, when they came upon a fork in the road.
Steve stood in the middle of the intersection, peering as far as he could down one path, and then the other, but there was just no way of knowing where each of the winding roads led. He threw his hands up in frustration before settling them on his hips. “Great, just great. Now what do we do?”
“Convenient how no one thought to mention the road split off.” Eddie grumbled.
“Right or left?”
“Flip a coin?”
Steve shrugged, it was as good a way to decide as anything else. “Sure, why not.”
Eddie stared at him expectantly.
“What?” Steve asked.
“Well, I don’t have any money on me.”
“Then why did you suggest flipping a coin?!”
Eddie bristled, as if Steve were the one being ridiculous. “Because you’ve always got spare change on you!”
“It’s those damn kids, always begging me for quarters for the arcade.”
“Did you ever think if you stopped carrying coins, the little shits would stop hitting you up for them?”
Steve frowned. “That’s… hmpf.” Because no, he hadn’t, actually. He started to rummage through his front pockets—a feat, frankly, given how tight his pants were, and wondered how big a fit Dustin would pitch if he were to actually stop handing out free money like he was a goddamn ATM machine.
“Hey!” A voice called out. “Dingus one and Dingus two!”
Steve startled—they hadn’t seen another soul for miles.
He looked all around for the source of the sound and finally spotted something—a lone figure mounted to a pole just inside the split-rail fence, nestled between a few stalks of corn. One of its arms was propped up, pointing, the other resting at its side. He grabbed Eddie’s hand and rushed towards it, swinging his legs easily up and over the wood planks, glimmering heels and all, before helping the other boy do the same.
As they got closer he could see that it was a girl made of straw and burlap—a scarecrow, his brain supplied offhandedly, though her face looked remarkably human and alive.
She winked, and smiled down at them.
Steve gasped, his eyes raking over the dusting of freckles painted over the girl’s cheeks and nose. “No—No way.” He shook his head, taking another step closer. Was every person in this place a version of someone from home?
“Robin?”
The Scarecrow frowned. “Never heard of her.”
Steve deflated. “Right.”
“Is that the way we’re supposed to go? The way you’re pointing?” Eddie asked, getting right to business as if he were unfazed at this newest encounter. Which was fair. It was pretty tame compared to the horrors of the last alternate dimension they’d been trapped in.
“That way’s okay.” She said with a small shrug, before dropping her left arm and raising her right—rotating it like a windmill in the process. “But that way’s pretty good too.”
“Very helpful.” Steve deadpanned.
“Of course,” she went on, ignoring him as she crossed one arm over the other—pointing in opposite directions at once. “People do go both ways.”
Eddie snickered, immediately clapping a hand over his own mouth to stifle his laughter.
Steve felt a rush of heat as he broke out in a full body flush, cheeks flaming. Surely The Scarecrow hadn’t meant—
The thing was, Robin—the real one—had been talking to him a little bit recently about the possibility of going both ways, as it were. He’d been starting to suspect, for no reason in particular, that he might not be as entirely straight as he’d previously thought.
Okay, fine.
There was a reason, and the culprit, cause, and source of his suspicion was standing right next to him, looking at him with those big brown eyes, sparkling with the last remnants of laughter, and smiling in that very particular way that showed his dimples to full effect.
It made Steve feel wild, like a swarm of butterflies had taken flight in his stomach.
He wondered if Eddie knew, if he should tell him, but he wasn’t sure he was ready for that.
It wasn’t the possibility of being bisexual that frightened him. More than a possibility, he supposed—clearly that ship had sailed—what with the way he practically salivated anytime Eddie raised his arms to stretch or reach for something up high, exposing that delicious little strip of tummy and—
Yeah… definitely not straight.
And he knew the other boy was gay, Eddie and Robin had both come out to the rest of the group a few months ago, so, the possibility was there, but just because Eddie liked guys didn’t mean he liked Steve.
All of that to say, his fear lay more in the worry of ruining their friendship if Eddie didn’t feel the same way about him.
“We’re looking for the Emerald City, do you know it?” Eddie was asking The Scarecrow when Steve tuned back into the conversation.
“I can’t say that I do, no, but that’s not much of a surprise. I haven't got a brain, you see.”
“How can you talk without a brain?” Steve asked.
“Seriously?” She quirked a brow. “Have you heard what comes out of most people's mouths? It’s not that hard.”
Well, she had him there.
“The thing is, my words come out faster than my thoughts sometimes, and I just wind up rambling on-and-on until I stop making any sense at all! No one understands me, and I just know if I had a brain it would solve all my problems. “She sighed wistfully, staring off into the middle distance for a moment before seeming to remember that they were there, and snapped back to attention. “What’s in the Emerald City anyhow?”
“A wizard, hopefully.” Eddie said.
“We’re going to see if he can help us get back home to Hawkins.” Steve added.
“Hawkins, huh? That’s a funny name.” The Scarecrow mused. “Well, if he’s capable of interdimensional travel, surely he could handle one measly brain. I’ll even take a second hand one, I'm not picky! Can I come with you?”
Steve resisted the urge to point out that her figuring out all on her own that multiple dimensions even existed was proof enough that she did, in fact, have a brain. He didn’t mind the idea of her tagging along, even if she wasn’t Robin.
“It’s fine with me,” he said, looking to Eddie, who nodded his agreement. “We should warn you though, there's a witch after us.”
“I ain’t afraid of nothing except rabies and talking to girls, which is completely normal.” The Scarecrow paused, thinking it over. “And maybe a lighted match.”
With a little finagling they managed to get her down with minimal damage. Steve held her around the waist while Eddie loosened the nail in the back of the pole, and it would have been fine, but in the heels his center of gravity was a little off, not to mention the uneven ground, so when she was set loose and suddenly he was holding all her weight, it put him off balance, sending them both sprawling to the ground.
She lost a little hay in the fall but quickly shoved it back in, rearranging it this way and that in the front of her top. Steve looked quickly away—it was like watching his sister adjust herself in her bra or something.
“What? You don’t like boobies?” The Scarecrow asked, finally done fluffing herself up.
“Not yours!”
“Well that’s just rude,” she huffed, pushing herself to her feet. She vaulted the fence, and started slowly making her way down one side of the yellow brick road.
Steve glanced up to find Eddie already above him with a hand out ready to help, and he let the other boy tug him to his feet, his skin burning where their palms touched. But Eddie accidentally pulled just a bit too hard and they wound up chest-to-chest, while Steve struggled to find his footing.
“Thanks,” Steve said softly, tongue darting out to wet his lips as his gaze flicked down to Eddie’s mouth, heart beating like a jackhammer.
“Anytime, Stevie,” Eddie whispered back, sounding just as breathless as Steve felt.
They were so close, it would take nothing at all to just lean in and—
“You dweebs comin’ or what?” The Scarecrow shouted from a few yards away.
They broke apart in surprise, sharing an awkward laugh, and hurried to catch up with their strange new friend.
“It’s Steve and Eddie, actually.”
“I’m starving.” Eddie griped for the dozenth time in the last half hour alone.
It wasn’t like Steve couldn’t sympathize, he was hungry too, but Oz didn’t exactly have a convenience store on every corner, and whining about it incessantly wasn’t helping anyone.
Even if he did find Eddie’s whining to be sort-of… cute.
God, he was in so deep.
Thankfully, as they walked, the scenery began to change and the fields that had been flanking them on either side for so long gave way to a grove of trees, and not just any trees–
“Oh!” Steve tugged on the other boy’s shirt and pointed excitedly ahead. “Eddie, look, there's a bunch of apple trees.”
Eddie curled his upper lip in disgust.
“Were you, or were you not, just complaining about our lack of food?”
“Yeah, but I was hoping for a cheeseburger or something, not… fruit.”
“Don’t be a baby,” Steve rolled his eyes as he stepped off the path, heading towards the nearest tree, and reached up to pick one of the many shiny, red, and delicious looking apples.
Before he could even register what was happening, the tree moved, a cluster of its branches wrapping around his wrist like a hand, squeezing tight.
“What do you think you’re doing?” A deep voice croaked.
A voice that seemed to be coming from The Tree.
Had Steve not faced down a demogorgon, demodogs—plural—the Mind Flayer, an entire swarm of demobats, and fucking Vecna, before, he probably would have been terrified at the prospect of a talking goddamn tree, but when he got over the initial shock he was mostly just annoyed that he couldn’t get himself free.
He wrenched and pulled but it was no use, until Eddie appeared at his side, taking hold of The Tree’s other arm—if you could call it an arm.
“Hey man, let go!” Eddie yelled at it. “You didn’t have to hurt him, we were just hungry!”
“How would you like to have someone come along and pick something off of you?!” The Tree barked.
Eddie snarled, bending back several of its smallest branches until the thing squealed in pain. It released Steve abruptly and he stumbled sideways, right into Eddie’s arms, and together they backed up to where The Scarecrow stood.
“It’s alright, Steve. You don’t want any of those apples anyway.” She said, looking down her nose at the offending plant. Er, creature?
Whatever.
“Are you hinting my apples aren't what they ought to be?!” The Tree grunted.
“That depends, are they supposed to have little green worms?”
“Get out of here or I’ll–”
“You’ll what? Grow at me?” She taunted.
The Tree growled, struggling in place and waving its branches at her.
The Scarecrow stuck her tongue out, blowing a raspberry at it, and pulled the boys away by their collars.
They were only a short distance away when she stopped on a dime, whirling back around to face the small orchard. “Get bent by a stiff breeze you weeping willow!”
“What are you doing?!” Steve hissed.
“Getting you some apples, duh,” She shot back. “Come on, catch!”
Steve turned, and sure enough The Tree, along with several of its brethren, were now hurling perfectly ripe apples straight at them. He caught as many as he could, cradling them in the front of his shirt until he couldn’t hold anymore, while The Scarecrow hid behind him.
Eddie, for his part, tried his best, but sports had never been his thing, and it showed. He wound up on hands and knees chasing after a few of the fruits that had rolled away in the soft grass.
The other boy was only out of sight for a moment, but Steve’s heart still dropped when he called out from behind a tall shrub.
Steve rounded the overgrowth in an instant, bracing for whatever new threat had come to find them. He was prepared for a lot of things, a pack of rabid bunnies perhaps, or a sentient rose bush, what he wasn’t prepared to see was a girl made out of tin, and not just any girl—Nancy.
“Nance?”
“I… don’t think that's her name.” The Scarecrow said, circling the other girl’s still form. “I’ve heard of these things. She’s a Tin Woodswoman!”
Steve stared. The girl was frozen like a statue with one arm held aloft wielding an ax, and though she couldn't blink or move her head, her pleading eyes were looking right at him, following him wherever he went.
Suddenly, a sound much like a squeaky wheel came from between her unmoving lips.
“Was that… did you try to say something?” Steve asked.
“Ooooooool ca,” The Tin Woman tried again. “oooooooooil–ca”
Steve snapped his fingers. “Oil can! She said oil can!” It didn’t take long to find the small container with its built-in dispenser stashed behind a nearby tree trunk. “Where should we oil her first?”
“You should probably get her consent before you start in on all that.” Eddie muttered.
“Eddie,” Steve glowered. “Be serious.”
“Not that I know much about these things, but maybe start with her mouth so she can talk?” The Scarecrow suggested.
“Right.” Steve aimed the end of the spout, dispensing a small amount of the liquid to the corners of her mouth.
Within seconds the oil went to work and her lips loosened. “Oh thank goodness I can talk again. Can you oil my arms next, my elbows?” The Tin Woman said.
Steve worked quickly, lubricating all of her joints, but still her one arm was stuck up in the air. Seeing her struggle, Eddie grabbed it and yanked. The limb finally fell, axe and all, the sound of it like an old car door being forced open.
Eddie grimaced. “Oh shit! Sorry, did that hurt?”
“No, it feels so much better, I’ve been holding that ax up for ages.” The Tin Woman assured him, taking a few tentative steps. She only creaked a little.
“What happened to you?” Eddie asked.
“Misread the forecast. About a year ago I came out to cut a tree down when it started to rain. I rusted solid—mid-chop!”
Curious, Steve continued to examine her, wondering what enabled her to walk and talk. Not that it was any weirder than The Scarecrow, really. He knocked on her middle, the sound reverberating like a drum.
“Wow! What an echo! How’d you pull that off?” The Scarecrow asked.
“It always sounds like that.” The Tin Woman shrugged. “I guess the tinsmith forgot to give me a heart.”
The Scarecrow gasped, “no heart?!”
“No heart,” The Tin Woman sighed, hanging her head. “It’s not that I mind not having one exactly, they are easily breakable from what I understand. It's just that, well, it makes me come off kinda cold, y'know?”
Now, this wasn’t Nancy, Steve knew that, but damned if he hadn’t had the same thought about her once or twice after she’d so thoroughly crushed him, calling him and his love bullshit that night in the bathroom at Tina’s Halloween party—and the betrayal that had come after.
Heartless.
He knew it wasn’t strictly true. Those were the thoughts of a boy who’d had his heart stomped on by the first girl he’d ever given it to. Nancy had the capacity to love, and fiercely. He’d seen it in the way she protected the people she cared about, willing to do anything to keep them safe—including him. She just didn’t love him in the romantic way. It had taken him a long time to accept that, to be okay with it and get over her, but as he looked into Eddie’s eyes over the top of The Tin Woman’s pointed funnel hat, he knew it’d all been for the best.
Nancy had a heart, she just didn’t always know how to show it, and he was willing to bet this Tin Woman had one too.
“You should come with us!” The Scarecrow said.
The Tin Woman tilted her head. “Where are you going?”
“We’re going to see a wizard! Eddie—that’s the long haired one.” The scarecrow leaned in to whisper conspiratorially. “And Steve here are trying to get home. I'm in the market for some brains, and I’m sure the wizard could manage a heart for you too!”
“Do you really believe he’ll get you home?” The Tin Woman asked, turning to Steve.
“I hope so, we’ve come such a long way already.” He said.
A shrill cackling laughter filled the air, and in a plume of red smoke The Wicked Witch appeared out of nowhere, atop the roof of a nearby log cabin.
“Long? You call that long? Why, you’ve only just begun!” She sneered down at them, turning her attention on the two newest members of their little party. “And you two lovely ladies, helping them along are you?”
“Yeah, what of it?!” The Scarecrow taunted.
“Stay away from them, or I'll stuff a mattress with you!”
“And you—” The Witch paused, pointing the tip of her broom down at the Tin Woman. “I'll use you for a beehive.”
“You wouldn’t dare.” The Tin Woman growled.
“Oh, the crumpled up wad of aluminum foil wants to play with fire, huh? Let’s see how your highly flammable friend fares against this—” The Wicked Witch raised her hand palm up, conjuring up a fist full of flame that she hurled at their feet.
The Scarecrow shrieked and threw herself to the side, even Steve and Eddie shrank back from the heat of it, but The Tin Woman, who had nothing to fear from a little unfriendly fire, quickly put it out, using her hat to smother the blaze. By the time it was done, The Wicked Witch was gone.
“You weren’t kidding about a witch being after you!” The Scarecrow said.
“About that,” Steve began, rubbing the back of his neck. “I think it would be best if Eddie and I traveled the rest of the way alone. I couldn’t live with myself if something happened to either of you because of us.”
The Scarecrow narrowed her eyes. “Not a chance. I'll see you safely to the Wizard, whether I get a brain or not.”
“Me too!” The Tin Woman agreed.
-
Not long after their confrontation with The Wicked Witch, they continued on their journey down the yellow brick road, where their surroundings changed yet again. The scattered trees thickened into dense woods, dark where the canopy blocked out most of the sun, and the air was filled with the sinister sounds of unfamiliar wildlife.
“I know I said I wasn’t afraid, but I don't like this forest. It’s dark and creepy.” The Scarecrow said.
Steve shrugged, bumping his shoulder against Eddie’s. “We've seen worse. Anything is better than a sky full of demobats, right?”
“What’s a demobat?” The Scarecrow asked.
“It’s like a regular bat,” Steve began. “Except… not at all? They’re bigger than you might think, with gray leathery flesh, and wings, and these long tails they like to choke you with. Their mouths are small but don’t let that fool you, they’re full of razor sharp teeth.”
Eddie glanced at him sideways, a crooked grin playing on his mouth and a light blush spreading across his face. “I dunno, Harrington. I’d pay good money to see you take a bite out of one of those little fuckers again.”
Steve grinned back, cheeks burning under Eddie’s attention. “That so, Munson?”
The Tin Woman gaped at them. “What is wrong with you two?”
If possible, Steve’s face grew even hotter, but as luck would have it a series of bellowing roars sounded off in the distance, and their flirtation, if it was indeed that, was quickly forgotten.
“What was that?” The Scarecrow whisper-shouted.
“Lions?” Eddie guessed.
Deep growls filled the forest next.
The Tin Woman hung onto the Scarecrow’s arm. “And tigers.”
Steve strained to listen for what else might be out there, and heard a long huff and a distinct gnashing of teeth. “And bears.”
“That doesn’t seem right, all in the same woods?” Eddie murmured skeptically. “Lions, and tigers, and bears?”
“Oh shit.” Steve shouted as something came barreling out of the trees and onto the path, coming straight for them.
They all reared back, cowering away from the oncoming threat and The Tin Woman stumbled in the process, dropping her axe to the brick road with a clang.
Steve scrambled to pick up the fallen weapon, twirling it out of habit as he took up a spot in front of his people, stepping between them and the overgrown stuffed toy who for whatever reason seemed to mean them harm. In hindsight he should have known better than to expect Eddie to stay back with the others and let him handle it, for as much as the guy liked to call himself a runner and a coward, not once had he backed down from a fight when the safety of his friends was in question.
Now being a prime example.
Armed with nothing more than Steve’s tied-together discarded sneakers, which he was swinging around wildly like every teen boy who saw The Karate Kid in theaters and decided to try their hand at nunchucks, Eddie joined Steve at his side, facing their foe head on.
“Put ‘em up, put ‘em up!” The Lion sneered.
Steve was pretty sure he’d had footie pajamas that looked like this guy once.
Mid swing, the laces on Steve’s sneakers came loose from their knot, and one of the shoes went flying out of Eddie’s hands, beaming the lion right in the forehead with a loud smack.
The beast’s paws flew to his head, cradling it as he began to cry hysterically. “What’d you do that for, I didn’t bite him!”
Eddie furrowed his brow, looking from the pathetic sobbing creature to Steve and back again. “Were you… going to bite him?”
“...No?”
Steve scoffed.
The lion moved his giant mitts from his face, tilting it up into the light. “I-Is my nose bleeding?”
“It would serve you right if it was!” The Scarecrow scolded.
Now that Steve had a better look at the guy, he realized he’d seen The Lion’s eyes somewhere before. He peered closer, squinting into the oddly humanoid looking face when it clicked.
He looked back at Eddie and mouthed, ‘Jonathan.’
Eddie snorted.
“Hey, can’t you see he’s just scared?” The Tin Woman said, pushing them both gently aside. She gazed down at The Lion with a telling softness in her eyes, and took up the end of his tail, drying his tears with it. “There now, that’s better.”
He blinked up at her in awe. “I-I’m sorry.”
She patted his hand and smiled. “Now, do you want to tell us what that was all about?”
“Oh, I'm just a stupid coward is all.”
“I don’t know about that,” Steve cut in. “I mean, you did come after the four of us all by yourself.”
“Naw, that’s not being brave. I saw you coming and I got scared, like I always do, and decided to lash out first before you could do the same to me. If I was really brave I'd have just come out and said hello.”
“Well, no harm done I guess, but we should really get going.” Steve said.
“But we can’t just leave him here all alone.” The Tin Woman insisted. “What if we brought him along? Maybe The Wizard can help him too. Even if not, the world is much less terrifying when you’re not alone.”
Steve couldn’t help but look Eddie’s way at that, feeling the truth of her words in his soul. They’d been through so much together since their fraught beginnings at the boathouse—made countless trips into the Upside Down before it’d been destroyed, faced Vecna and his hoard of monsters, twice, and it’d all been that much easier to bear because they’d been together.
Eddie nodded as if he’d heard all of Steve’s innermost thoughts though he hadn’t said a thing out loud, and he knew they were on the same page.
“The more the merrier, I guess.”
-
Before long they reached the edge of the forest, which opened up into a sprawling meadow full of bright flowers in shades of red, pink, purple, and orange, growing right over the yellow brick road. That sight alone was enough to take Steve’s breath away, but it wasn't the only thing that caught his attention. Just on the other side of the vast ocean of blossoms was a cluster of tall brilliantly green buildings, a city, shining just like the emerald gemstones it was named for.
“There’s The Emerald City!” Steve shouted, pointing towards the horizon excitedly. “Oh, look! Eddie, we’re almost there!”
But Eddie didn’t respond, he was squatting down at the edge of the growth, eyeing the colorful blooms with suspicion.
“What is it?” Steve asked.
Eddie turned concerned eyes up at him. “Something doesn’t feel right about this, like maybe it’s some sort of trap?”
“How can flowers be a trap?”
“Well, for one thing they’re not just any flowers, they’re poppies.”
Steve crinkled his brow. “Okay…”
“Poppies? Y’know, the thing they use to make opium?”
“Oh!”
“What’s opium?” The Scarecrow asked.
“I don't think they have drugs here.” Steve said.
Eddie tilted his head thoughtfully, and shrugged. “That’s fair, no need to trip balls when you already have talking trees.”
“So what do you want to do?” Steve asked.
“I don’t like it, but it doesn’t look like we have much choice. The only way to the Emerald City is through it, so.” Eddie shook his head, pushing himself back to his feet, and reached for Steve's hand. “I guess we’ll go as quickly as we can, and hope for the best.”
The unlikely quintet formed a chain of linked hands and ran together as a unit through the vibrant meadow. At first Steve thought Eddie had been wrong, that it was just an innocent field of wildflowers, but by the time they’d reached the top of the first small hill he was gasping for air, and his legs felt like they were pushing through molasses, unusual for someone who exercised regularly, jogging at least four times a week.
“Wait, wait.” Steve panted, leaning heavily into Eddie as he tried to regain his breath.
“Steve?” Eddie looked him up and down, worrying his bottom lip.
“I can’t run anymore, I–I’m,” Steve cut himself off with a yawn. “I’m so sleepy.” He wobbled in place, knees going weak. The other boy caught him around the middle, lowering him gently to the ground.
“What’s wrong with him?” The Scarecrow asked.
“I don’t know.” Eddie said, studying his face as he hovered over him, eyes wild with panic.
“I have to rest for just a minute.” Steve babbled, knowing it sounded ridiculous. They were so close to their destination, he could practically see the individual windows on the buildings of the Emerald City, and suddenly he wanted to take a nap? Something wasn’t right, but he couldn't seem to fight it.
The Lion yawned loudly. “Now that you mention it, catching a few winks doesn’t sound like a bad idea.” He swayed on his feet, kept upright only by The Tin Woman’s grip on him.
The next thing Steve knew, Eddie was gently prying his eyelids open, though he didn’t remember closing them. “Fuck, I knew something was off about these flowers. It’s that damn Wicked Witch, it has to be!”
Not that Steve was paying much attention to what he said, because god was Eddie pretty like this—his big brown eyes even larger and more beautiful up close, so dreamy, with his dark curls hanging down around him like a curtain.
Eddie's lips parted in surprise as his hands still cradled Steve’s face. “What did you just say?”
Oh shit, in his tired stupor had he actually said some of that out loud?
“Eddie, I–” Steve managed to force out, but Eddie swayed above him, eyes rolling back in his head for a moment before he tipped sideways, falling gracelessly to the ground beside him.
It was becoming harder and harder to keep his eyes open, and Steve knew it was only a matter of time before he succumbed to the magical sleep that was pulling him under. He turned his head and found Eddie looking at him too, doing the same long blinks, both of them fighting a losing battle.
With his last bit of strength Steve reached out, and Eddie reached too, clasping their hands between their bodies, fingers entwining with practiced ease like they were made to fit together.
As Steve’s eyes slipped shut there was another thunk nearby, the distinct sound of a body hitting the ground, something he had unfortunately heard enough times to know, and could only assume The Lion must have been felled by the same thing that’d gotten them.
The last thing he heard as his consciousness faded away, were the terrified shouts of The Scarecrow and The Tin Woman calling out for help.

Reader is geeting hit on and the trio is like nope she‘s our baby?
I'm gonna go ahead and merge two asks together if that's okay!💋
luckypupsmama asked: Sorry to drop another prompt on you, but what would happen if Nat, Wanda, Carol and baby go out and have to deal with a guy hitting on one or all of them
Warnings: douchy guy who gets his ass handed to him
Words: 1435 words
💋 💋 💋 💋
“I gotta use the bathroom.” You groan, shifting uncomfortably in your seat. The extremely large - and half drunk - milkshake sits in front of you; the whipped cream being the first to go, and when you had dove head first into it, Carol had warned you to slow down.
Obviously, you didn’t listen. Not when there was chocolaty goodness to inhale. The alcohol was an added bonus too. Which is why you probably need the toilet. You never had a good bladder when it came to drinking - MJ would constantly boo you on your nights out for breaking your pee seal first.
Wanda blocks your exit from the booth, her milkshake still had a large dollop of whipped cream that you were eyeing; Natasha and Carol being on the opposite side of the two of you - their drinks: milkshakes also after you had demanded they get because, “Hey, it’s not everyday you get to drink alcohol in an Adult Milkshake Bar; I refuse for you to order boring wine!” - near enough going untouched. You eye their whipped cream too.
“I told you to slow down, kitten.” Carol smirks at you. “Do you want one of us to come with you? It’s getting pretty busy in here.”
You glance around before shaking your head.
“I’ll be fine. Plus there’s an arcade I kinda wanna take a look at...”
Wanda goes to move to let you past but feigns shock horror at your words.
“Detka saw the games arcade, we’re never getting out.”
“I’m offended you didn’t think I’d Google this place the second you told me where we were going, Wands.”
Wanda can only laugh as she pulls you closer for a kiss.
“You have fifteen minutes, kotenok.” She says, licking your bottom lip. “If you’re not back by then I’m sending in the big dogs.”
You follow her glance to Natasha and Carol, who smile and wave sweetly at you.
“Tick tock, baby. Get going.” Natasha says, eyes following you as you slip out of the booth. You jump when Wanda smacks your ass as you pass her, sticking her tongue out at you when you shoot her a playful glare.
“See you in a minute! Time me!”
💋 💋 💋 💋
In your defence, you were on your way back in record time, being a good girl and taking the long way to avoid the games arcade...but...you stupidly risk a glance at the shining lights and theatrical music and well; you decide to use your fifteen minutes of play time wisely. You’re quick to make a beeline for the brightly lit stairs, eyes instantly finding your girlfriends in your booth, talking to one another. One of them makes Wanda laugh and you can hear it from where you are, and it makes you pause on the steps to watch them.
You are the literal definition of a love sick puppy, especially when you see Wanda scoop her whipped cream with her straw and put it into your glass.
“Awww.”
Natasha shifts in her seat and just before her eyes spot you on the stairs, you run off to the next floor giggling.
Five minutes later and you’re carrying your cup of quarters and a small bunch of candy in your hands - your first little win; taking your time to check out the different games.
You’re sucking on a lollypop when you see it.
The claw machine. Or to be more specific, the prize you could win.
A Cookie Monster plushie.
You’re far too enthralled by the need to win the prize to notice the man lurking behind you, watching you with a smug smile.
He leans against the ‘closed’ Pac-Man machine and watches as you waste most of your quarters. When you let out a frustrated “Fuck!” he moves closer until he is leaning on the side of your claw machine.
“Looks like you could use some help.”
You barley even shoot him a glance as you deposit another quarter.
“No thanks, I’m good.”
“Are you sure?” he asks, taking a step closer. “I’d hate to see a pretty thing waste her money. I like to think I’m a claw machine expert.”
You roll your eyes and watch the claw reach down again, nervously sucking on your lollypop, as it grasps the cuddly toy for a second before it drops it.
“I’m fine, honest.”
“Come on now...I’d make it cute...we’d have a Ghost moment and I’d win you that toy and then as a thank you, we’d get drinks and then I’d get my happy ending.”
You ignore him and try again. This time the claw actually grabs the toy and lifts it from the pack. You grin, watching it, but just as it’s about to be released into the chute, the claw just stops, leaving your prize dangling there.
You glare at it.
“For fuck sake.”
“Whaddya say?” The man presses.
“You know -” You stop when you finally look at him and snort. “Gross, dude, you’re old enough to be my dad.”
“Into older men are we?” He steps into your personal space and reeks of alcohol.
“Older women, yes.” You say. “You? No.”
“Oh that’s hot. Do you fancy a threesome? I’d love to see two chicks bone. That would be hot!”
“No, thanks. My girlfriends are pretty territorial.”
“Girlfriends?” He grins. “Jackpot! Are they as sexy as you?”
“Listen, I’m really not interested. Just back off, yeah?”
He tuts, rolling his eyes.
“God it’s a shame. Losing another hot one to the dykes.” He tries to tuck some hair behind your ear but you slap his hand away, offended. “Your lips are perfect for sucking dick - have you ever tried it before?”
“Yeah your mom’s. Back up!”
“You heard the woman,” Natasha’s voice comes from behind you, immediately causing you to grin. “Back up. Now.”
“This one of your girlfriends?”
Natasha wraps her arm around you as Wanda and Carol appear by your side too. They’re holding hands, glowering at the drunken fool before you.
“No way, there’s four of you!”
“Leave. Now.” Wanda growls, taking a step towards him. He looks at her before pulling a face.
“Nah, you’re not my type. Neither is your blonde bimbo here. Red head here I could do with a bag on your head but you...” He motions at you. “Innocence is such a turn on.”
The man stupidly tries to tap your nose and before he can make another comment, you slap him hard across the face. Fuck, does it hurt, your hand stings at the impact and you’re far too distracted to notice the man reeling his own hand back to hit you.
Only, Natasha moves faster; catching his wrist in her hand. She grips tightly, causing him to squeal in pain before kneeing him in the groin, flooring him.
“We will not ask again; leave and stop harassing what is ours.” Natasha growls.
He struggles to his feet, wincing and holding his manhood.
“Stupid...fucks!”
Carol quietly advances on him, glowering at him with such an intensity that has him scarpering away in terror; finally leaving you with your girlfriends.
You sag into Natasha.
“Thank you so much.”
She turns to you, eyes raking over your body, checking for injuries.
“Did he hurt you?” Wanda asks.
“Did he touch you?” Carol asks.
“I swear to God if he did I’ll castrate him in the parking lot.” Natasha growls.
“No, no I’m fine.” You look at the three women individually. “I’m okay.”
You stroke Wanda’s cheek before kissing her delicately.
“There’s one of my heroes,” you whisper.
You stroke Carol’s cheek neck and bring her lips down to yours.
“There’s my next hero...”
You hold Natasha’s face in both your hands.
“There’s my final hero.”
You kiss Natasha and gasp when she slams you back, hitting the claw machine behind you. You’re quick to pull away when you hear the familiar dull thud of a prize landing in the chute.
“Oh my God!”
You spin and grab the toy, excitedly showing your perplexed girlfriends.
“Is that the Cookie Monster?” Wanda asks.
“Mhmm!” Is all you can say before blushing furiously.
Natasha takes it from you, grinning.
“I’ll forever be quite partial to this thing now because of you.”
More kisses are shared and Wanda ends up hugging the stuffed toy to her chest.
“Wanna go home?” Carol asks, lips finding your neck.
“Yes please.” You gasp out when Natasha’s knee presses between your legs.
“Good.” Wanda says, licking the shell of your ear. “Because we’ve asked for a takeaway container of whipped cream and we intend on using it...”

s.coups - arcade
word count : 505
-
"yes! babe, i did it!" you cheered as you bent down to grab a plushie that you had grabbed from the claw machine. "oh my god, it's so cute," you said and went to your boyfriend, who was at a claw machine with different prizes in it.
"dang it," s.coups sighed. "how are you so good at these?" he asked you while pouting.
you shrugged, "it's just luck. you know that. the last time we came here, we had so many plushies because of you," you said to him. "my niece will love this one, don't you think?" you asked him as you put the plushie you won in his hand.
"yea, she will," he smiled. "i'm gonna try this machine a few more times," he mentioned. you nodded your head and took the plushie back from him before putting it in your tote bag.
you let seungcheol keep trying to win a plushie and went to another claw machine. however, it seemed like your luck ran out as you were unable to get a plushie after ten minutes of trying.
you glanced over to see your boyfriend, who was still at the same machine. a little girl was next to him, watching the claw move back and forth in attempt to grab a prize. you smiled at the sight and decided to keep trying to win a prize at the claw machine you were at.
dang it.
you sighed as you lost again. you watched the claw move on it's own and turned around to see your boyfriend still at the same claw machine. the little girl was also still watching him try to win a plushie.
you started walking over but right as you got there, the claw grabbed onto a prize and held onto it before dropping it in the prize area.
"yes!" seungcheol threw his hands in the air, "finally!"
"you did it! you did it!" the little girl cheered as s.coups crouched down to grab the prize from the bottom of the machine.
"good job," you spoke while a smile. s.coups looked up at smiled at you with the cute plushie in his hand.
then, he looked at the little girl, "would you like this one?" he asked her, holding out the plushie to her.
the little girl gasped, "really?" she asked. seungcheol nodded and gave the plushie to her. "thank you very much!" she said to him while hugging the plushie. "mommy!" she yelled and ran off.
you giggled as your boyfriend stood back up. "that was sweet of you," you said to him.
"she was watching me for awhile, and i think she would've enjoyed it more than me," he said. "done playing?" he asked you.
"well, i wanted us to get plushies together, but we can always come here another time," you replied and took the plushie in your tote bag out to hold it.
"give me five dollars, and i'll get us two more."
"you already lost thirty dollars. is that really a good idea, seungcheol?"

Show Me Yours | Matty Healy [30]
chapter thirty, act four: somebody else
masterlist
little Author's note /TW before this act begins. There's going to be alot of talk of drug use and addiction within the chapters coming, if you're not comfortable with these kinds of things please don't read.
Tumblr media
August 22nd 2016
“Tom?”
Tommie looks up slowly at Jamie as he stands across the tour bus from her. She knows that tone, he’s breaking bad news to her.
“Jamie..?” She responds in the same tone.
“Um, a letter came to the Dirty Hit office in London for you.” He fiddles with the piece of paper in his hands, the rustling noise soothing her.
“We’re in Japan.” She points out with a raised brow at the long delay of him telling her. They haven’t been to London in months, travelling straight from the US to Asia and completing shows and festivals out here.
He nods, “I know. It came on your birthday, I brought it with me to America but, I just-. I just… didn’t know when the best time would be to give it to you.”
She nods and gets up from the settee to take it from him slowly, “Not getting, like, sued or deported or anything?”
“Deported? From where?”
She shrugs, “I don’t know.”
He shakes his head, “Not getting sued nor deported,” Then he adds as an afterthought as he realises he has no idea what’s actual beyond the licked seal of the letter, “I hope.”
“We’ve stopped for the day off, the guys are down the front waiting.”
Her breath hitches as she turns it over, she recognises the messy writing and spelling mistakes right away. A few letters are smudged from the use of the writer’s left hand and there’s a drop of something stained on one corner, she hopes it's coffee, but it's probably alcohol.
It’s a letter from her father.
She stares at it a few more moments, until she can hear her name being called down the other end of the bus, then she grabs her jacket and shoves the letter into the pocket, deep down to take it out later.
“Come on, Matty’s getting impatient.” Adam tells her, arm around her shoulder as he tugs her along the long corridor through the living space and kitchen area.
“Uh, where we going?”
“He wants to take that speed train he saw a youtube video about, then go to some arcade because he saw a video on how to hack the claw machines.”
She nods, but then stops herself from walking down the steps, pulling back with one hand gripping the railing and the other the letter inside her pocket, “Uh, I’m gonna stay back, I’ll meet you guys later, send me your address…”
“You sure? You alright?” He asks, brows furrowed in that motherly concern he has only for her.
She nods, “Just, didn't sleep well last night, and I can feel a migraine coming on.”
“Do you want me to st-”
“I think alone time will be best,” She says, “Peace and quiet to get rid of it.”
He nods in agreement, “Okay, I’ll grab you those little chocolate snacks you liked in the seven eleven.”
“Thank you, Ads.”
She heads back into the bus, closing the curtain of her bunk and flicking her little Yoda night light on to read the letter.
Tumblr media
She clutches the letter, doesn't realise she’s crying- no, sobbing- until the curtains rip open with such a force that the wind blows her hair over her shoulders and she’s looking up to the furrowed brows of Matty looking down at her.
“Baby?”
“M-Matt-”
He’s sitting beside her pulling her into his arms right away, lips to her hairline as he whispers, “What’s wrong, Baby?”
He closes the curtain around them, shutting out the bright lights thinking it’s a panic attack or a sensory overload, “Is it too bright? Too noisy?” He lowers his voice and she shakes her head moving the letter to his hand.
He’s silent as he reads it, eyes scanning the page, squinting to make out the words that have been smudged by her tears.
“That bas-”
He drops the letter to the end of her bunk far away and forgotten until she’s prepared to deal with it, moving his hand to trace softly up and down her back as she clings to him.
“It’s alright, come on, let's lie down.”
She nods into his shoulder, making no effort as he tries to move them so they're lying on their sides facing each other.
Matty lies with his back to the curtain, right on the end almost falling out and she tugs him closer with his opened button up.
“What happened to the train?”
He shrugs, “Didn’t feel like it.” That’s a lie, it’s all he’s talked about for the past two weeks, he’s been researching the speed, watching youtube videos on it. He’s obsessed with this train.
“Matt?”
“Hmm?”
“Thank you.”
He nods, hands still moving up and down her back, he smiles as he feels something start nudging at his leg, “Got an intruder.”
Button, who is now a lot larger than when she used to cuddle between them as a puppy, forces her way between them in the tiny bunk.
“Hey, Buttie.”
She spins around a few times, kicking at Matty to move over as she licks Tommie’s tear stained cheeks.
Matty grins as Tommie gives a wet giggle at the dog, quickly promising with a whisper into her head that she’s okay. Button rests her head in the crook of Tommie’s neck, curled up into the curve of her body and huffs as she gives Matty one last taunting kick. The dog’s not stupid.
Matty reaches over the dog to take her hand, resting it on the dog's back and interlocking their fingers together. His other hand scratches Button’s head which is just what she wanted, the dog's lips lift and she twists herself so Matty will scratch a certain point of her back for her.
“Go to sleep, baby,” He says quietly, leaving Button for just a few seconds, which the dog is not pleased by, lifting her head to stare blankly at him, Matty ignores button to move some hair out of Tommie’s eyes, then drags his finger down her cheek before returning it to Button’s head.
“I’ll be here when you wake up.”

August 29th 2016
The man across from her shifts awkwardly, he clears his throat and sips the coffee. It’s too strong, makes her nose hurt and stomach churn.
She sits, sipping from a dr pepper can and watches him, waits for him to make the first move.
“Carol-”
“I go by Tommie.” She says, “I always have, even when I was a kid-”
“I know.” He says quietly, “But you’ll always be little Caroline, the little five pound baby who was so small she fit in her grandfather’s palm.”
“How would you know?” She asks, “When mam gave birth you were getting pissed, like usual…”
He sighs, “Caroli-”
“John.”
He swallows, looks down at the stained table in the little London coffee shop they’d agreed to meet at, not far from the flat she and the guys are currently staying at.
“I know I’ve made a lot of mistakes. Some are unforgivable-”
“Unforgivable?” She scoffs and shakes her head, “Some should’ve landed you in jail a long time ago, John.”
He bows his head, then shakily reaches into his pocket taking out a folded up piece of paper.
There’s a young girl in the photo, wearing cowboy boots and a hard hat, her little red hair hidden by the yellow plastic. She must be around six years old. There’s a scooby-doo scooter that she’s riding one handed, her other hand as a pink ukulele in it.
“This is what kept me going in rehab. Looking at this picture and knowing I ruined her childhood. The thing that kept me going was the knowledge that you were out there doing good, Ca- Tommie.”
Then he pulls his phone out, showing her photos of a toddler, the same pink ukulele sits on the floor in the background, paint chipped with stickers she had put on there herself peeling off. “This is Juliet. Your sister.”
“Does JJ know?”
“JJ lives with us.” He says quietly, “We have a three bedroom house, he’s got his own room, his own stuff. It was his birthday last wee-”
“I know.” She cuts him off, jaw clenched at his audacity, “I never missed one.”
“You’ve missed four.”
“I was ten years old and using my pocket money from nan to buy him birthday presents, John, I think that makes up for it, for escaping when I had the chance.”
He slowly puts the phone away, “I understand, Tommie, that you’re mad at me, at what I did, what I was like- But don’t take it out on everyone else. On JJ, Juliet the rest of the family. You have to understand my point of view. I’d lost my mother, then my father, I was a teenager, I was seventeen when you were born, seventeen, no parents and a newborn child what- What was I supposed to do?” He tilts his head to follow her eyes.
“I was younger,” She tells him, “I had it worse.”
“This isn’t a competition.”
“Your parents died, yeah, that’s bad, that’s horrible, I know I went through it. But my parents neglected me, my own dad beat me, that’s fucking worse.”
“Your mother was no better than me, where was she-”
“Do not bring my mother into this. Yeah, she lived a little but she was there. She made an effort, she worked to give me everything I had, she partied at night, so what? She gave me clothes, food, roof over my head, she gave me love. Yeah, in little bits that I had to scrape the bottom of the fucking barrel for but she gave it.”
“So what?”
“Yeah, ‘so fucking what’, she never hit me.”
He sighs shakily, rubbing a hand over his stubbled double chin, “I’m better, I was sick back then, but I’m better now, I want you to try and understand that.”
“I understand this perfectly,” She lifts her chin, biting her lip when it wobbles, “Mam wasn’t good enough, JJ wasn’t good rough, I wasn't good enough. But some posh slag Iris, from ‘up North’, with a designer vagina ready at your disposal is-”
The only thing that can be heard over the steaming kettles behind the kitchen is a skin on skin slap.
They both pause, John with a hand in the air and her with a hand pressed to her cheek.
His eyes are full of regret, instantly, he flexes his hand and watches her carefully as her hand pushes into her cheek, “Caroline, I’m sorry, I-I… I don’t know where that came f-”
“Same old, dad.” She says quietly.
“I’m sorry, I-” A tear falls from his eye, “I’m sorry, Caroline. I didn’t- well, I-”
She clenches her jaw so tight the bone there cracks and she has to open her mouth for it to pop back into place, “I preferred it better when you’d just hit me and tell me it was my fault.”
He stands slowly, grabbing his jacket and folding it over his arm, “I want you to know I’m so very proud of you, Tommie. Of everything you’ve become. Everything you’ve done alone.”
She doesn’t look at him, she keeps staring straight forward at the other side of the booth.
“Of the woman you’ve become, the things you’re doing. So, so proud. And I’m sorry that you’ve had to do it all alone.”
“I wasn’t alone.”
⋆。 ゚☁︎。 ⋆。 ゚☾ ゚
Slamming the door behind her she jumps as someone says her name, “Tom?”
“Cal?”
His brow raises and he walks around the kitchen counter he was leaning against to meet her at the door, “You good?”
“Yeah.” She nods quickly, turning her face away from him, “I’m going to jump in the shower.”
“How was coffee with your friend, what was her name again?”
“Lily.”
“Right, Lily.”
“Got cut short, she had to go back to work.”
He hums, “Maybe you can try again next time you’re in London.” He suggests and she nods in agreement as she hides herself away behind the bathroom door.
“Hey, Tom?” He knocks his knuckles on the door, “Can I talk to you?”
She waits a few moments flushing the toilet chain to buy herself time as she rubs concealer on the forming red hand print.
She opens the door leaning against the frame and places the fakest smile she can manage on her face as she looks up at him, “Hmm?”
“We’ve been asked back in the studio in two weeks to record a single, a radio single, I was going to ask if-”
“Can we talk about this later? After my shower?”
“This is important to me, Tommie.”
“I know,” She says, reaching to place her hand on his arm, “And I am so so proud of you, I promise… I just feel disgusting.”
“Please.” He lowers himself to meet her direct eye line and she nods.
“Quickly.”
He grins, “Can you come to LA with me? Just a couple days, help me out with writing a song, maybe help with the productions-”
“Cal,” She says quietly, “We’re different genres, you’re country rock, I’m… whatever it is that Mattty feels in the mood for when he gets up that morning.”
He runs his tongue across his teeth, looking away and she sighs, reaching her hand out to touch his arm.
“Let me have my shower then you can tell me all about your single and your ideas maybe you can run some by me.”
He opens his mouth but the door is shut quickly and he leans back against the wall for a few seconds, making his way to the lying room where a brown flowery leather book sits open on the coffee table.
⋆。 ゚☁︎。 ⋆。 ゚☾ ゚
Gabby’s brows raise at the quietness of the usual booming apartment. She looks around, setting her bag down on the settee.
“Tom? You in here?”
Matty told her Tommie and Caleb should be there, but it’s not a single sign of life besides the light coming from the bathroom.
Gabby smiles to herself knocking on the door, “Tommie?”
“G-Gab?”
“Yeah, just me, I picked us up some food, Caleb not here?”
“Has he gone?”
Gabby’s brows furrow and she shifts against the door as she looks around, it’s a little messy, just some clothes thrown over the floor and her bag discarded. But she knows Tommie, knows this mess would usually cause her to go off on one of her cleaning tangents. She can tell something is wrong., “Uh, he must've he’s not here. Everything okay?”
“Uh, yeah, give me a few minutes, I just got out of the shower.”
“Okay… I’ll set up the table.”
Tommie hums in response, still working on covering the mark on her face. Gabby sets the shopping bags onto the kitchen counter then works to pick up the clothes, she tosses them into the washing basket in the corner of Tommie’s bedroom then hangs her bag up in its place on the coat hanger beside the flat’s front door.
Tommie dresses quickly, into some of Ross’ trousers she has to roll six times to fit and then one of Adam’s Oasis t-shirts before walking out to meet Gabby in the kitchen.
“Everything okay?” She asks again.
Tommie nods quickly, “Yup. What’s for dinner?”
“Chinese.”
Tommie nods, pulling some cups from a cupboard down for them, filling one with dr pepper and the other with diet coke, passing the diet coke to Gabby as she moves through the kitchen.
Gabby stays silent for a few more seconds, then decides to break it.
“Tommie?”
“Yeah?”
“Are you sure you’re okay? I mean, I know we haven’t known each other very long, but Matty speaks highly of you-” She sighs and touches her arm gently, “You don’t seem yourself today.”
She nods silently and Gabby’s brows furrow as she moves to place one finger on her cheek, her eyes move around her face as if putting the puzzle pieces together, “Did Caleb-?”
“No,” Tommie stands up straight quickly, clutching her hand desperately, “God no, I’d kick that man’s arse in seconds if he touched me like that. It was-”
She hesitates, but looks at the soft, motherly look on Gabby’s face and relaxes back into the counter, “I saw my dad today, first time since 2012 when I left Wales to move up to Manchester with the guys. I said some things I shouldn’t have and he reverted back to his old ways to get me to shut up.”
She rubs her knuckles at her stinging cheek with a shrug, “My fault, I shouldn’t have said-”
Gabby scoffs, a harsh sound that has her leaning even further back, “Do not blame yourself for your father’s ignorance. If he thinks it's okay to lay a hand on his own daughter or any woman for that matter then there is something seriously wrong with him.”
Gabby’s eyes soften then and she moves to stand right in front of her, “Is that why you left?”
Tommie shrugs, picking at a string on her sleeve and Gabby opens the draw beside them, takes out the scissors and cuts the loose thread. Showing it to Tommie before tossing it into the bin and then taking the girl in her arms.
“Want me to go punch him in the balls?”
Tommie giggles, wrapping her arms around Gabby too, “Nah, I kinda wanna see him fuck up a few more kids lives before we take away his reproductive abilities.”
“Sharing is caring and everything?”
“Sharing is caring.”

Hawkins was a small town but you were always quiet and a loner you didn't really have many friends at all. You worked at the arcade and it was a decent job except for certain customers like a blonde haired basketball player to a adult slob that greased up the machines..It was a normal work day. You were on your lunch break on a normal Saturday the usual customers came and went until a shadow of a short frame came up behind you short curly hair and a lighter voice "hi um one of the games are not working can you check it out?" You were just about finished with your lunch and he seemed pretty kind compared to others you stood up "uh yeah sure just lead the way." He grinned "hi im dustin." "Im y/n glad to meet ya dustin""So do you like nerdy things?"he said walking slowly "mmm i guess yeah i am considered a nerd...." you thought he was trying to make small talk... "do you like dungeons and dragons?" "Well ive never really played but yeah it kinda interests me "He led you to the arcade machine and it wasn't processing the coins hmm there must be a wire loose or a jam but that wasn't in your skill level "sorry kid its jammed or something ill try to get it fixed tomorrow" he looked slightly disappointed You barely noticed the group of people looking at you 2 other boys younger than you and one much younger girl..all wearing the same t shirts Then you looked at dustin as he spun around to maybe his friends "guys this is y/n i think she should join hellfire" a taller much sarcastic boy says "what! But shes a random girl!!" A dark skined boy says back "but eddie said to recruit people he didnt say male gendered"The smaller girl shouts "look mike shes all we've got.. its better to show up with her than no one!" You just watching this happen not knowing what to say The sarcastic one Mike rolled his eyes "fine but if eddie says no im throwing you all under the bus!" Dustin nodded his head"So y/n hellfire is a dnd club at Hawkins high after hours every other day if you want to come play some dnd just meet me outside of Hawkins high at 4:00pm" you nodded "okay i will be there" they left after that and the rest of the night was pretty normal. Sunday passed so fast you basically cleaned your room and watched your favorite movie than fell asleep and it was Monday you got dressed in a tank top your favorite color some ripped jeans and your converse and your favorite jewelry and threw your jacket on. You put some black eyeliner on and you were ready You listened to one of your favorite bands on a cassette player and it was 3:40 so you drove to Hawkins high and you parked and saw dustin he was kinda like a little brother you stepped out of your car and "Y/N yes! You're here!" "Just on time " you look down at your watch and see it change to 4:00 "okay lets go" you followed dustin through the school halls you remembered see you went to public school until freshman year and you got bullied so bad you had to do homeschooling instead you were graduated now though. You watch the door open to reveal a dimly lit room full of people. Mike. Dustin. Lukas. Erica. And 4 others you walk in and dustin moves out from infront of you "eddie this is y/n."A tall handsome intimidating man stands up from a throne of some kind he stepped around the table and stands infront of you his frame slightly towering over you" this is who you found Henderson " he pinched his nose bridge "this girl is what you found she probably wouldn't know anything about dnd or anything!" You felt attacked but little did they know is that you can snap back " this girl probably would probably win anyways" you said with a smirk he stepped closer smugly bending slightly "you think so Princess?" His eyes meeting yours and they felt familiar for whatever reason. "Okay lets play!"

War of Hearts ⎮0

"Ah! F*cking plushie! Come on!"
Yuuka sighed in annoyance as she dropped the toy from the claw machine, again. Several people in the arcade turned to her at her shout and watched her with judging looks. As if it wasn't surprising enough that a young girl was playing here, they were also listening to her reproaches.
When She put her hand into her jacket pocket again, she realized that it was empty. She had spent her third coin and had no chance left to buy a new one. Actually, she was always lucky with these machines, but today there seemed to be a problem.
She looked at the cute plush wolf and pursed her lips. She really wanted to get it and put it on the zipper of her bag.
She clung to the glass of the machine with both hands and cried in a dramatic voice.
“Don't worry wolfie, I'll be back to get you!”
She sighed sadly again and looked around, noticing her friends were already outside. She picked up her bag from the floor and turned to leave.
Today was definitely an unlucky day. When she turned around, she bumped into someone. He was a taller boy than her. When she bumped into him, she held on to his jacket to avoid falling, and the boy held her shoulder to prevent her from falling.
Yuuka quickly removed her hands and bowed slightly.
“I'm sorry, I didn't know there was someone behind me.”
The young boy shook his head
“It was my fault too. Sorry."
Yuuka lifted her head and looked at the face of the boy she had bumped into. He had a beautiful black hairstyle and very stylish clothing. Despite his cold tone, he did not look scary. He had a handsome face and a strange aura. She was sure she had never seen him around here before.
Within seconds, while examining the school uniform, her eyes opened wide when she saw the plush toy in the boy's hand.
"You! I've been trying to get it for hours! How?!"
The young boy looked at the plush wolf in his hand and looked back at the young girl. He held out the toy in his hand.
“You can have it if you want..”
Yuuka was confused. She looked at the young boy without reaction for a few seconds and smiled.
"Really ?"
The boy shrugged his shoulders and handed her the plush in his hand. Yuuka took the plushie he offered and smiled even bigger.
"Thank you!"
The young boy smiled for the first time since they met. He was surprised that the young girl in front of him was actually happy because of this stupid toy, but he found it cute.
“I only played to win something, you deserve it more than me.”
Yuuka laughed and waved the toy in her hand. She put her hand back into her jacket pocket and, grinning, held out her palm.
“I can say that I am really happy. I don't have any money left, but maybe I can give this as a gift."
Yuuka opened her palm and handed the small flower she made from paper to the boy. The black-haired boy looked at the young girl's palm in surprise for a few seconds. Yuuka was embarrassed and laughed, thinking what she did was quite stupid.
"I need to go now. One day I will repay you-“
“Sameoka, Shoji Sameoka.” The black-haired boy replied.
Yuuka nodded and smiled again
“Akashi, Yuuka Akashi. It was nice to meet you, Sameoka-kun. I have to go now."
Shoji nodded and watched the young girl walk out the door. He looked at the paper flower in his hand and turned it with his fingers, half grinning.
"She is weird..." he thought, and then, remembering that he had to go too, he left the arcade.
Yuuka ran to her friends who were waiting for her outside and showed them the toy in her hand. It was no wonder that this stupid plush made her happy, his friends would often win things from that machine for her. But the gift she received from a stranger was a sweet memory for her. Maybe not all men were rude and gross.
When Shoji came out, he smiled when he saw the young girl showing the toy with excitement. But his smile disappeared completely when he saw the two young boy next to her.
He definitely didn't expect the young girl to be with the famous duo of Oya High School. Then he looked at the clothes the girl was wearing. She was not wearing a uniform, but the color of her clothes proved that she could also be from Oya.
The young boy watched those leaving silently for a while. He didn't even notice his friend was behind him. He was startled when a hand touched his shoulder and he turned his head.
"Where are you looking at ?"
When Fujin saw the people his friend was watching, he looked at his friend suspiciously. He didn't like it at all, especially considering his past with Todoroki. Shoji was still confused.
“Don't even think about it, do you know who that girl is?”
“I was just wondering who she was, I'm not thinking of anything.” He rebuffed his friend by saying. He started walking towards the junkyard and Fujin followed him.
Shoji Sameoka didn't think he would see that girl again, but he was totally wrong…

LMK S4 THEORY TIME
Tumblr media
So I was thinking about the box art that came out recently and thought of something we might see in season 4, involving Mei, the Samadhi fire, and her love for the game Monkey Mech.
[!This post contains MAJOR SPOILERS for previous seasons of lego monkie kid, especially season 3!]
Inspired by this thread by colesmonkies on Twitter!
The thread above talks about how season 4 might take place inside a video game, specifically Monkey Mech, or maybe even the unnamed game that Wukong made from S2E6 "Game on". This theory is supported by the fact that Monkey Mech has been a big part of the show since the very first episode, and that it inspired MK's physical monkey mech power - which is the sole thing that separates him from Monkey King as his successor.
This journey into the game (instead of actually traveling to the past) would help tell the story of Monkey King's adventures that were never covered in Journey to the west, like his relationship with Macaque. Because let's be honest, that monkey would never talk about his past problems out of his own free will, especially not that part of his life.
Tumblr media
Some people have pointed out that it was suspicious how MK's arcade machine was highlighted next to MK's staff and the scroll in the end scene. We know the latter is definitely going to be important in season 4, and we know Pigsy removed the game from his store when it kept distracting MK from his work too much.
So why does Wukong have it? Did he just want to have the game for himself to play? Or maybe there's something special about it? And most importantly, how would they get INTO the game in the first place?
Tumblr media
Mei has a big role in MK's Monkey Mech obsession. It's also her favorite game and she's an expert at it, easily beating him (or anyone else, really) every time they compete against each other.
Very early in the series, in S1E3 "Coming home", she reveals a bit about her childhood, her personal life and her family, and obtains her dragon sword. She has grown a lot since then, going through character development comparable to that of MK himself and other major characters.
In S3E6 "The first ring" she is shown to be able to create, or at least modify, other vehicles and transform them into her own, very much like MK's physical monkey mech. She does this by plugging her dragon sword into it like some sort of overpowered USB stick. This particular vehicle is white gold and blue instead of her usual green, the same color scheme as her Monkey mech horse character (and her outfit on the new box art).
Also why did Red son have an input specifically for Mei's dragon sword in his car? I could go on about this but that's a topic for another post
Tumblr media
Mei is insanely powerful even without the sword, or her dragon powers. She has created a fully stocked futuristic secret base, owns multiple personalised motorbikes, put a totally-not-creepy digital tracking system on all of her friends, and probably much more i forgot about while writing this post. She is a massive tech nerd much like Red son, the previous holder of the Samadhi fire.
Thanks to him, Mei has now learned to make the fire her own. This is a huge development, something i assume they won't just gloss over in season 4. I fully expect to see more of her abilities now that she has the fire under her control, especially combined with her dragon powers. We've only seen a snippet of what she can do with it (Including nearly cooking MK alive on like... three separate occasions).
Tumblr media
I was watching the season 3 specials again, and one thing Red son said stuck out to me:
The samadhi fire is more than just an inextinguishable flame. It's an interdimensional weapon, with the destructive power to burn through the very fabric of reality."
Season 3 put emphasis on the fact that the fire could destroy reality. But what if through some training, the fire could also modify it, BEND it? We know Mei can teleport now, so it wouldn't be too far fetched to assume she could use this INTERDIMENSIONAL weapon to travel between realities.
We've seen that Mei can plug her sword into things to give them a "power up". So what i think might happens is that she will use it on the Monkey Mech arcade machine, and using the samadhi fire's interdimensional abilities, somehow transport herself and her friends into the reality of the game where (a big part of) season 4 will take place. She will need to leave her sword plugged in while being in there, which could explain why she doesn't have it with her in the box art.
Tumblr media
TLDR: My theory is that the plot of season 4 will be about Mei plugging her dragon sword into the Monkey mech arcade machine, and transporting herself and her friends into the game thanks to her new samadhi fire powers.
I don't really have an idea for why they would enter the game and how the scroll could to this. Maybe they just wanted some fun, or it was an accident? Either way, they would need to find a way to get out back to their own reality, either by finishing the game or with help from outside. (Red son on Guanyin? Flying Bark? pls?)

EDIT 3/12/2022: MORE THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS BECAUSE MORE SETS CAME OUT!
The man antagonists of the new sets are the yellow tusk elephant, azure lion and golden-winged eagle which are minor characters in Journey to the West. The Rhino king was a character from JTTW that made a cameo in Wukong's game in S2E6, so it's likely that these three new animal-based characters will have a similar antagonistic role.
But what stood out to me are their sidekicks, called "ink demons". These demons are original characters, never appearing in JTTW. @/sonofwu on twitter pointed out that heir names imply that there's a possibility our main cast will dive into the world of a book (the scroll from S3E14?) instead of a video game, or that the characters in the book come alive into the real world of Monkie kid.
Since Mei gets a lot of focus in the sets, and her and MK being the only ones not as their past selves unlike Pigsy, Sandy and Tang, I believe there's still a possibility of her using her sword to take MK and herself into this dimension (either into the book or the game) instead of traveling to the past.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Something that stood out to me as well was the backgrounds for these sets, which appear very similar to the scenery in Wukong's game from S2E6. This could support the theory that they'll travel into this game instead of Monkey Mech.
In one set, MK, Mei, and the original versions of Pigsy and Sandy are shown to be vendors of some kind of stores (for example, Mei being a blacksmith). Maybe this implies that they'll take part in the game as NPC's too, like how the original Tang did in Wukong's game.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also, you know how I said Pigsy, Sandy and Tang looked like their past selves in these sets? They also have VERY similar outfits to their game counterparts! I wonder if this means anything....

𝑳𝒖𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒆
Afternoon sunlight penetrated through the open window frame. The curtains were blown by the wind and disturbed above the small bed. Leaning on the edge of the bed, with her body sliding to the floor and her head nestled on the soft duvet was Lucielle.
It was late afternoon, well past one o'clock. She covered her shoulders with her purple-purple pastel headphones and massaged her eyes. A nonchalant exhale escaped from her lips. A rather significant heat was coming from the laptop that was open on her lap, indicating many hours of continuous work.
As soon as she turned off the laptop and set it aside, Lucielle's phone vibrated again. She reached for it and picked it up:
"I'm here."
On the other end of the line came the voice of her best friend Cery:
"Hey, meet me at the mall later, okay?"
"At the shopping mall, or at the claw machines area?" Lucielle asked with a chuckle. She knew that her friend had invited her there only because the girl had her eyes on a guy who would show up at the arcade often lately.
"You know it! Shall we meet at three o'clock?"
"Sounds good... But I'm a little tired..."
Sniffing Lucielle's intention to retreat, Cery said immediately:
"Let's go. I've read your tarot for today. Undoubtedly, you would meet the destiny of your life there. So you must come! Don't let fate slip out of your hand."
"Absolutely." Lucielle replied with a laugh. "Your tarot cards never say anything good about my love life."
"They do, this time!" Cery gave a solid reply. "I'll see you at the entrance then!"
Lucielle could only agree. It's good to hang out once in a while. She had spent too much time sitting in her room getting her work done. And it was another day off. While others were out on dates, or having fun with friends, she chose to lull in her room for the day.
Lucielle was just an ordinary office worker, living in a tiny apartment full of plush toys that she had won from claw machines. Besides from work, she just hung around at home holding her computer or phone, or spent time and pennies on claw machines at the arcade. Sometimes she got bored and really lonely, but in any case, life still went on. She did not have big ambitions. She just stood outside of this ever changing life, watching others live theirs, as if she was just an observer.
Perhaps all she was waiting for was a magical adventure. An encounter by chance. Something only happened once in a lifetime.
Alternatively, it could be that her wishful thinking came from having read and watched far too much fiction.
She reflected on what Cery had just said, about meeting her destiny today. Then she laughed at her nonsense thoughts. The fate Cery refers to may be a special edition plushie. If so, that would be nice.
It was more than three o'clock in the afternoon. Lucielle stood under a tree outside the building rebuilt from the old structure. What was now the city's largest commercial building nonetheless held remnants of the past. That's how Linkon was — a modern place where the past met the present. Lucielle impatiently glanced at the watch before shifting her gaze to both sides of the wide road ahead of her.
She did not see Cery. But Lucielle's attention was drawn to someone at once. On the opposite side on the same sidewalk, a slender figure stood out from the crowd. Dark curls tinged with purple glow intertwined, resting down his brow and eyes were firmly looking in her direction. Lucielle let go of a heartbeat. The whole street froze and the only thing moving was the stranger's footsteps heading in this direction.
He came to a halt in front of Lucielle. The thin lips curled up into a smile. If someone had painted a dream, it would be exactly like this. Because this was so unreal. Why would there be such a perfect shaped person? Lucielle only dared to look up once, and their eyes met.
"There you are!"
A soft voice spoke, drowning out all the noise in the street, birds singing in the trees and rustling leaves. It was as if the only sound in the universe. Lucielle was perplexed. This was a man she had never seen before, but he gave the impression that he had known her for a long, long time.
Just as she was about to say something, Lucielle heard a loud call of her name from another side. Turning her head, she caught sight of Cery walking happily towards her.
Lucielle raised a hand to wave. Then when she returned to the stranger earlier, he was long gone.
"How long did you wait? Today's bus was running a little late." Cery moved over to stand beside her. "But... What are you looking at?"
"Nothing..." Lucielle shook her head and said. "I’ve just met a very strange person..."
Lucielle paused. How could she put it into words; that she had just met a picturesque beauty?; that he had just vanished without a trace in a split second? She must have been dizzy and she blamed all the milk coffee she had had for the day.
She took another glance at the street, before stepping inside the building in deep thought.

Rafayel darted a gaze across the busy street, where sunlight fell alternately through the foliage, covering her with a soothing aura.
He had found her. In the world where she was truly alive.
Rafayel's mind was as deep as the ocean. Somewhere in the raging waves laid the memory of another land. In that place, she slept soundly, for eternity.
Year 9451,
After a series of catastrophic disasters many millennia ago, the entire world was submerged in seawater.
A new species appeared. They resembled humans but possessed fish tails, with strength and longevity far exceeding those of humans. They were Lemurians.
Humanity entered a new life form. They drifted into slumber inside peculiar cocoons kept in the lowest depths of the ocean. In anticipation of the day the human eventually awoke, the Lemurians watched over them.
However, nobody had ever awakened. The cocoons that the ocean cherished for thousands of years began to rot, eventually dying out.
Those humans’ eyes would never be able to open again…

Reaching out to the glass, Rafayel removed the black seaweed that was holding the cocoon in place. They purposefully obscured the lovely sleeping girl who was drifting in an oceanic dream. He brushed the moss off the metal board attached to the cocoon to the side.
Lucielle Caelum

Her face was pale, but relaxed as if she were just taking a long nap. Not a scratch, unscathed by the outer world. She was the best preserved specimen that the Lemurians had recovered from an ancient natural disaster.  And she was one of the humans placed in Rafayel’s care here.
Rafayel approached the cocoon until his nose came into contact with the glass. He had been to this place thousands and thousands of times, watching her fall asleep and sketching her dreams. Perhaps she was dreaming of the world in which she had lived, where people could walk with two feet on the ground. Little did she know, what awaited her when she woke up was the darkness of the ocean.
Rafayel consequently created innumerable illustrations of the lands, or stories that he had learned about the ancient world. When she woke up, she would see them. She herself would tell him her story before slipping into this never-ending slumber. Rafayel allowed himself the autonomy to envisage her life, her family, her friends. He was daydreaming of a Lucielle he had not ever met.
For millennia when his eyes were only on her, Rafayel had fallen in love.
Yet, despite all their attempts to awaken humans, the Lemurians never succeeded. Eventually, the cocoons were unable to support the inhabitants within. They collapsed, and the tide carried the frail human bodies away, transforming them into bubbles that soared skyward, as though their souls yearned to rise above the waves once more. One after another, slowly, they were all gone.
Except for this only left.
"There is nothing we can do for humans anymore."
"They are too fragile for the world today."
"Let’s give up..."
The Lemurians voiced. But Rafayel, and he alone, had not given up. He assembled a group of other distinguished Lemurians and constructed a machine, before it was too late.
"Must you do this, Lord Rafayel?"
"Lemurian cannot be without a leader. Please reconsider your decision!"
"There is instability with this machine. Once you go back to the past, chances are you won't be able to return here..."
The discussions echoed across the vast sea as they carried on. Rafayel was adamant, though. Prison is when you have to live in darkness and yearn for what you never had. Going back to when it all began and preventing that event of doom was the only way. No matter how dangerous it was, he had to give it a try.
On the day of his departure, he came to see her one last time.
The cocoon that held her did not last much longer. Having to watch her vanish was as if watching himself die. Rafayel's slender hand touched her face behind the glass as he said farewell.
"I'll find you."
And then, he went. The gears of the machine turned, forming countless rolling waves, and then the ocean disappeared. She disappeared.
*
* *
He found her in the third millennium. As vivid as his dream came true.
There were only three hundred and sixty-four days remaining before her world began to crumble.

A few fun little idea I thought of involving the kids teaching the human autobots to do things
Raf would finally be able to properly introduce Bee to video games since his hands are no longer too big for the controller. He can actually play with them instead of just watch.
Miko teaching Arcee and Elita how to do makeup. Along with any of the male autobots who are interested.
June teaching the Autobots to cook with varying degrees of success. (Aka Wheeljack managed to make something explode and was banned from the kitchen)
Bee using his free time to learn ASL since he spent so much time not being able to communicate normally so he was very intrigued when he found out humans came up with a way to communicate without speaking
That’s all I can think of right now but if I come up with more I’ll send them
This is all the yes.
We know Bee canonically spoke CSL!! [Cybertronian Sign Language] So he picked up human sign languages of various types rather quick, which he loved. Him and Raf use it to speak in secret sometimes. Just not in front of Optimus. Optimus a l w a y s knows.
He adores gaming with Bee, and going to arcades together, especially when they play the claw machines. They got kicked out after Bee kept playing hours on just 1 token on a machine, till he got an impossibly high score, or emptied a machine of all prizes.
Miko took over all make up and cosmetics and was delighted to teach Arcee and Elita. The end results were stunning to say the least, and Miko even managed to talk some of the guys into trying it out. Smokescreen actually enjoyed it the most, and insisted on Miko always giving him some red under eyeliner, as it made his eyes pop.
Optimus even allowed Miko to play a bit with make up on him, and though it didn't suit him, he did it if only for the smile on Miko's face.
Bulkhead also let Miko do his nails, and he would take care to not chip any of the paint, especially when she painted the wreckers emblem on his thumbs.
Cooking was a wild ride for everyone.
Optimus and Magnus had picked it up rather easily, as they tended to follow the recipe to the letter to ensure no mishaps, whereas Wheeljack [prior to his subsequent ban from the kitchen] tossed everything that looked interesting in.
Elita was a decent enough cook, but her skills were surprisingly better when it came to baking, as she liked the patience and intricacy it took to make pastries, icing and decorating things.
Arcee, after the fast food dare from Jack, was not keen on cooking, but she was great at prep work, so whenever anyone needed anything washed, cut, chopped, minced, they asked for her help.
Bulkhead and Ratchet, though not fantastic with more complex recipes, could at the very least make decent meals. Bulk could grill better than any of them, whereas Ratchet could make a nice healthy salad, or stew that would fill the team.
Smokescreen and Bee however, were banned from cooking, not because they were bad, they were decent enough, but rather that their preferred meals tended to be instant food, like a frozen pizza, 3 minute ramen, or nuggets in an air fryer.
At least the kids liked it though.

WachowsKids Headcanons 💙💛❤️💖
Here you have some headcanons I have about Sonic Wachowski and his siblings:
They call themselves the "The WachowsKids".
Sonic, Amy and Knuckles love bowling (they're the balls!). Together they make an unbeatable team.
Playing Monopoly is forbidden in the Wachowskis house since Tails used to get very intense when playing the game.
Amy and Knuckles are very competitive, especially with each other. They tend to arm-wrestle to solve almost anything. Once they both arm-wrestled for three days straight over the last cookie from the jar, being fed with only liquids through a straw, and they agreed to have a bathroom break at least twice.
After moving in with the Wachowskis, Tails turned their garage into his new lab (he even built a secret basement for it).
Amy loves exploring the forest of Green Hills. She likes climbing trees and looking for bugs in the dirt, and sometimes she comes back home bringing rodent bones or wild animals like mice, snakes and even a rabid raccoon.
Amy usually helps Maddie at her vet clinic. She wants to be like her someday to help other animals.
Knuckles favorite TV show is 2003 TMNT (and his favorite turtle is Raph. He has a soft spot for Rise of the TMNT Raph too).
Amy has a secret place in the forest that only her and Sonic know about. It's a really tall tree that she climbs up and stays on one of its branches to read while enjoying the view. Sonic sometimes does the same, but he usually takes a nap on one of the branches.
Just like Sonic, Knuckles also thinks the Burger Princess Drive-Thru statue is some kind of oracle. Tails knows it's not, but he prefers not to tell his brothers.
When Amy just arrived, Sonic thought her Piko Piko Hammer was like Thor's Mjolnir, so he tried to lift it and succeeded, claiming happily that he was worthy of its power. Even though that's not how it worked, Amy said nothing because she likes seeing him so happy.
For their first Halloween (before Amy came), Knuckles was scared by Tails, who was dressed up as a ghost, and since he's afraid of ghosts, he punched him so hard that the poor little fox went through the wall.
For their first Halloween together (now with Amy), the whole family dressed up as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Sonic as Leonardo, Tails as Donatello, Amy as Mikey, and Knuckles as Raphael, while Tom and Maddie were dressed up as Casey Jones and April O'Neil. They got lots of candy that night.
Tails favorite superhero is Spider-Man. He admires Peter Parker's ability to build artifacts and other kind of gizmos that he uses in battle. Inspired by the comics, he's been working on a prototype that looks similar to the Iron Spider's legs. He also likes villians like Doc Ock and Green Goblin since they're scientists as well.
Knuckles's was banned from the arcade for life since the day he destroyed the Whac-a-Mole machine. Later, it was Amy who was banned as well.
Knuckles loves snowball wars.
During thunderstorms, the whole family gathers at the living room to play board games to keep Tails's mind distracted from lightning. If that doesn't work, they build a pillow fortress and sit inside to have hot chocolate together.
