Leo mask tail theory

Okay so I was rewatching rottmnt for the 500th (fifth hundreth) time and I noticed something really neat about Leo and Raph.

You can't really see it here but Leo has long mask tails just like Raph does. You might not think much of it but I think there's a reason for it and you might call me over analytical but I think it's pretty neat.

What if this was foreshadowing for when Leo became leader? Think about it! The way I see it, longer mask tails mean you're the leader hence why Raph has long mask tails aswell. And it's not coincidence that the only 2 (two) turtles that have these kind of mask tails are both destend to be leader.

Both Mikey and Donnie have shorter mask tails compared to Leo and Raph wich, if my theory is correct, indicates they're not leaders. Leo has always shown to have a lot of leader potential

Take mystic library for example, or when he was sent to Big Mama's fighting ring Battle Nexus.

Raph also has a lot of leader potential and was leader before Leo. Meanwhile Donnie and Mikey are not as leadery as their two older brothers.

Basically what I'm trying to say that if long mask tails mean that you're leader. Than leo's character arc of becoming a leader was foreshadowed since the start of the series

but if it picks up right where it left off. then we might see the whole time skip. maybe each of the 6 episodes is the 6 year time skip.

Your shoes thumped softly to the ground as you toed them off after a long day of work, a satisfied groan escaping you as you finally managed to get inside your apartment. It was much later than usual, but one of your coworkers had called in sick because they needed to look after their kid. Its not like you could fault them for wanting to put their kid first. Sighing as you set your shoes in the shoe rack you kept by the door you immediately made your way to the kitchen, absolutely starving after your particularly long shift. Rummaging around in your cabinets you settled on a package of instant noodles since you didn’t have energy for anything else. Grabbing a pot you filled it with water and tossed it on the stove to boil while you hunted down all the extra bits you liked to add to your noodles. Humming quietly you set them on the counter and waited by scrolling on your phone answering messages from your friends and the fifth apology your coworker had sent after having to have you cover her shift. 

‘I’m so sorry! It just happened out of the blue’

‘Dude its fine, its your kid. Hows the little guy holding up?’

‘Still has a high fever but he did finally managed to fall asleep after some cough syrup’

‘Good. Poor kid. Do I need to cover your shift tomorrow?’

‘Could you?! I’d hate to ask but’

‘Nah I get it. I gotchu dude’

‘Omg the best!’ 

She followed her message up with an almost obscene amount of heart emojis from gratitude that made you laugh. Tossing your noodles into the pot you set your phone aside for a moment to stir the pot. Distracted by the warm smell of noodles and lost in thought you didn’t hear your busted window slide open or the soft, muffled sound of light steps. You turned to grab some seasoning only to freeze. 

Standing in the entrance to your doorway Nightwing stared back with just as wide eyes behind his mask. 

“Why aren’t you asleep?” He questioned and you could feel the moment your brain misfired in shock. 

“What.” You uttered looking at him. Nightwing shifted nervously, glancing down at his hands and your eyes followed his to see your towel folded in his grip. 

Oh, that made sense. 

“Uh, I’m just going to leave this here then.” He chuckled nervously as he rubbed the back of his head. He walked further into the kitchen and set the towel down on the counter, to your shock you realized he was a lot taller than you’d first thought he was. He gave a nervous smile. “So uh, returned your towel. Thanks for the shower and the bandages and stuff the other day.” 

“You’re… Welcome..?” You slowly drew out still trying to get your brain to function with the completely bizarre situation you found yourself in. His eyes flicked to something behind you.

“I think your noodles are boiling over.”

In an instant you whipped back around to see that your noodles had been boiling over for who knows how long.

“Shit!” You shouted immediately diving for the dial to turn the heat off and grabbing the pot. When you turned back around Nightwing was much closer than he was before nearly causing you to jump out of your skin. 

“Sorry, sorry, just wanted to make sure you didn’t burn yourself.” He spoke quickly when he noticed your surprise. He didn’t move back. 

Slowly turning back to the pot you grabbed your seasonings and extra bits to add to your noodles. Stirring in the ingredients you looked over at your bowls and went to grab one. Nightwing beat you to it, offering you the bowl with a crooked smile and a little raspy laugh. 

“You must have just gotten off work.” He observed. 

“Yeah, uh. Long shift.” You explained rubbing the back of your neck awkwardly as you filled your bowl with noodles. 

“I should, um, go.” He motioned back to the busted window he’d climbed in through and you nodded.

“Yeah, thanks for returning the towel…?” You trailed off uncertainly. 

“No problem. I wasn’t going to keep it hostage.” He laughed it off as he began backing away towards your window. “And don’t worry, I’ll be back to fix that too. I’m really sorry I busted your lock.”

“Its okay..?” You chuckled that same awkwardness hanging in the air. You watched as he ducked out the busted window and swung off into the night just as quietly as he came in before his words finally registered. 

“WHAT DOES HE MEAN HE'S COMING BACK?!” You shrieked, panicking. Oh god what if some supervillain saw him hanging around your apartment? What if a reporter saw him hanging around your apartment? You’d never know peace again. 

Screw the awkward encounter, what about your privacy?!

i fucking hate the people who translated the owl house into my native language.

like, my language is very gender and i already half expected something like this. this episode with raine came up and i was so fucking scared of what they'd do.

and then raine spoke and... okay. so they had a male voice actor. no more androgynous voice, mostly. okay. i can deal with that. that means nothing.

and then they went and used "male" pronouns

and i. i'm kinda hoping i misheard. i am so so so hoping i misheard.

like, they just went and misgendered raine, badly (and also turning their and eda's relationship hetero in the process like no she's bi! she likes nb folks too!)

and now all the kids who only watch it in my native tongue - they'll think they're a guy. but raine ISN'T a guy.

and like. i sort of expected this. i was afraid of it. but now i'm just... i'm so disappointed. there was FINALLY someone like me in media, and it's not a big deal, like raine's nonbinary, they use they/them pronouns, they're neither a guy nor a girl, THEY JUST EXIST AND EVERYONE IS FINE WITH IT!!

Hi! I'm the anon who asked you abt the TTRPG Deathclaws thing. I just wanted to thank you for the long and cohesive response and your take on the whole thing! I love worldbuilding and more specifically making animal variants and the reason i asked to begin with was because you inspired me a ton and i wanted to expand upon the ideas you have presented in your super cool blurbs--

But i think itd be better of me to try to respect your art and instead try to make something of my own instead of expanding on something of yours- even if my art of the things i have come up with will never be as visually amazing or indepth as yours. I really adore your art and creativity when it comes to creature designs- thank you for inspiring me.

Heya!! it's time to go on another tangent oh boy

I've also loved worldbuilding and creature design since I was a little kid who was notably bad at it due to being a child. I adored the trend for pokemon fusions and variants when they came through and I was doing them even before they were a huge trend - I filled out books of the things in high school! But not every artist or fanartist particularly starts on similar routes. Sometimes they don't have creative friends to essentially trebuchet their development into creature design early on.

It's not something I can pretend everyone has a penchant for and can just do on a whim - it takes a particularly malleable thought process to just decouple what is into what could be, and how far you can or even want to stretch that. But everyone has to start somewhere! I believe my journey of deathclaw designs started in 2016 as just a tiny scratch on the surface from 'what if they were different behaviourally' to 'what if they were different... visually' - when my only major inputs for design ideas were fallout 4/NV and skyrim, and it showed. Strong designs come from 'what is the purpose of it in this setting' and you reverse engineer traits shared by real or fantasy (and therefore a chain reaction of traits shared by real) animals - and you can only reverse engineer using what you know!

So - save the deathclaw variants as inspiration but also! Make a huge folder of things. Pad it out with a bunch of stuff. Build a visual library. See what other artists are doing with their concepts (this is probably also why monster hunter is so popular, because it has an ecological niche that makes it feel believable) and let that color the world you're trying to build. Let yourself go 'ok this artist did this. so what if I did something similar, with a different color scheme or scale type or animal part? what if it lived somewhere else, how would that affect it?' God knows the bethesda presentation of fallout is incredibly two dimensional and the worldbuilding needs all the help it can get

it's how you get insane premises for fics, AUs, and tabletop campaigns alike - by stepping off the beaten path and showing how much you understand the world when your concepts that fuck it up can still maintain a cohesive and believable presence in it. Though it's still a lot of effort to take any steps along this journey, which is why a lot of people don't like start u_u

So good luck, honestly, and keep being inspired by things!

CJ:

-met mordecai and initially agreed to just be friends with him but ended up developing feelings for him and nearly killed him when he asked out margaret.

-immediately fucked off after this.

-didnt come back till much later to be mordecais rebound.

-fucked off again after being dumped, AT SOMEONE ELSES WEDDING.

-she deserved so much better than him.

-she deserved so much better from the show.

-funny, athletic, cute, and way cool.

My thoughts about getting high with CJ: as long as you don't get on the topic of exes or parents you'll be good. And if you regularly get high with her be prepared to end up possibly dating her.

Her tolerance to weed is probably around 3.5/5. She and mordecai shared a lot in common, I could see her smoking just as much as he does. Itd be fun to chill with her on occasion and share a bong. Shed probably become the bong cloud.

Thomas:

-was secretly a russian spy, sent to steal the park for what he thought was an initiative to introduce the concept to the russians but what turned out to be an elaborate plan for Russia to steal American land to blow up in Russia bit by bit, he then betrayed the Russians and helped save The Park.

-as part of this he was initially depicted as a pushover, and very easy to prank

-did a lot of the grunt work at first then kind of just stopped working and was about to be fired before devising a plan to reclaim The Park's statue from their rivals.

-once the jig was up he went on the lamb from both the Russian government and the United States government.

-pretty much fucked off forever after changing his identity and moving to another country.

-they should have brought him back more, he was finally one of the guys!!!

My thoughts on getting high with Thomas: if it's post secret agent reveal and you can find him he'd be pretty cool to smoke with. He's a very chill dude when he's not fighting secret agents constantly.

His tolerance level is probably pretty low. Id say probably a 1/5. He's got to keep his wits about him most the time so you'd really have to get him to a safe area. Regardless if it's at the park or afterwards he has to be on the look out for government agents so. Be aware.
