Okay, so ignoring The Burning Maze in TOA. Imagine Jason hearing about Leo building his new life at the Waystation & he already knows Piper is working on her new mortal life. It leaves him questioning where he fits in now. What is he supposed to do? He still has to finish the shrines to the minor Gods, but after that, what purpose would keep him around? He was raised by Lupa during his crucial years, and then at 4 was sworn into the Legion. Yet, he's become too Greek to stay around Camp Jupiter. He doesn't fit in like he used to. And he's too restrained to really fit in at Camp Half-Blood.
It hurts because the two people closest to him seem to be adjusting just fine to new lives, and he has no idea what he'll do when this task is done. This giant question lies at his feet, and he doesn't want to search for the answer, the real answer. Because, if asked, the answer would be Son of Jupiter, Juno's Champion, and former Praetor.
Under all of Juno's memory meddling, behind the child soldier, beneath the abandoned toddler, Who is Jason Grace?

i don't think bakugou is that kind of useless dad that can't do anything without you helping him, but i do like the idea of him being a slightly frazzled new-ish dad 🥺
katsuki decides to take the baby with him on his run to the grocery store because you deserve a break, however small, and everything is fine, honestly, like. he can handle it.
but he is standing in line to checkout and there is drool on his shirt and his hair is a little messed up and sticky from being tugged on and he's got his items in one hand and baby on his hip.
your little girl has entered into that phase where she just likes hearing herself make noise, so she's clapping her hands together and just babbling, sometimes too loud, so loud that it attracts attention.
and katsuki is sort of bouncing her a little bit to keep her from getting squirmy, mumbling, "yeah, dah dah dah dah, i know," right to her ears only, giving curt nods to any of the older ladies in the store that coo over the sight of them.

pairing: stalker!seunghan x reader
content: stalking, threats
hong seunghan is following you again.
your headphones are resting on your head, music long since paused in favor of listening to the tired pants of your dog, your ragged breathing, and the occasional click of seunghan's tongue. his footsteps echo in sync with yours, only his sounded deeper and more menacing as his feet padded on the concrete behind yours, heavy shoes following your path. streetlights are far and few between, stretches of darkened road somehow more comforting than the golden yellow on the weathered poles.
another pole gets closer, illuminating the soft fur of your dog that keeps glancing behind you, tongue drying, and canines glowing yellow as he pants under the artificial golden light. you get the urge to scold him, the persistent looks making nerves rush up your spine because you can't convince yourself that seunghan's presence isn't just in your head.
not that you could ever convince yourself of that anyway. seunghan is everywhere. seated in the corner of the dingy bar you work at, lounging in his pristine black car as you run errands, always just out of sight. he even sits on your front porch in the form of abandoned rotten flower petals and a soaked valentine's day letter that is now nothing more than hardened paper and smudged ink.
you never dare open his letters now. at first, the curiosity was too much to take and you would rip through the neat envelopes and let your eyes wander the pages but it always left you looking over your shoulder, shutting your curtains long before the sun had set, and trying to calm your racing heart.
you can see seunghan's silhouette from the corner of your eye. he's moving calmly, nonchalantly swinging his hands back and forth like he's bored. you don't like the idea of seunghan being bored, recalling one of the letter he had written before you stopped opening them, realizing that it wasn't just some joke taken too far.
in the letter he detailed how bored he felt with your reactions. he questioned how he could really scare you, what would push your buttons enough to make his heart race in anticipation while yours raced with fear. he let you know what he was capable of, letting your imagination fill in the blanks while still letting you know that no matter how far you wondered, he was planning something worse.
even after so many notes, seunghan had never approached you. he only lingered, hovered. his cologne in your nose as you served costumers, his inky hair in crowds, his piercing eyes through dimmed windows, his dried cum painting pictures of your unassuming figure left neatly on your doorstep, always accompanied by a single flower.
your dog came to a halt, kicking his leg to scratch behind his ear. you gasped, feet too close to his bouncing tail as you came to a stop, too lost in your head to allow more room. seunghan's feet keep his slow pace, closing the gap between you and him. he clicks his tongue, an amused air in the noise, almost teasing. your back straightens and you pull on your dog's leash, whispering commands at him as you begin to walk.
you hear a deep chuckle as you begin to jog, his footsteps far too close for comfort. you apologize to your dog as he struggles to keep up, his confused eyes darkening as you leave the illuminated area of the streetlight.
seunghan disappears when you round the last corner. he always does, but you keep a quick pace just in case. seunghan never follows you to your doorstep. not that he doesn't know where you live, he does, he evidently knows much more than that. you believe he likes to play with you in that way, making you anxious as you walk the stretch of road on your own, activating the blinding lights with your movement as you rush to your door. you internally scold yourself for not bothering to twist the lock when you left, a terrible habit that you know seunghan has noticed.
you spare one last glance, seeing nothing but the darkness between trees and powered-down houses, your dog's sniffling nose, and decayed red flower petals sticking to your shoes.

I see him Hera. When the moons in the sky are at their fullest, the wolves howl and the grass dances in the midnight breeze. He’s there. I see him staring back at me in the fields. I see him Hera… and he looks so tired.
-
It would be a hundred times easier
If we were young again
But as it is
And it is
We're just two slow dancers, last ones out
We're two slow dancers, last ones out
And the ground has been slowly pulling us back down
You see it on both our skin
We get a few years and then it wants us back

When Steve and Eddie start dating Wayne pulls Steve aside and is like “I know this sounds odd but you’re gonna have to take him on walks every once in a while.”
And Steve is just like “?? Sir? He is not a dog?”
Wayne gives him a slightly haunted look, muttering “sometimes I wonder,” under his breath before clearing his throat and telling Steve to just trust him on this one.
Steve thinks this is probably something Wayne had to do when Eddie was a child to get him out of the house but the man is a full-grown adult now, Steve is not gonna walk him.
He kind of forgets about it until one day. Eddie’s been staying at Steve’s for the week and he gets home from work only to find the kitchen absolutely wrecked. He finds Eddie in another room standing in a pile of books. He very slowly approaches him, putting his hands out and making his voice soft and as carefully as he can being like, “Hey, babe, what’s up?”
Eddie whips around, eyes big and wild, rambling almost too fast for Steve to understand. “I needed to make a cake but I didn’t have a recipe so I improvised and that did not work so I went to find a recipe and did you know there are like fifty-year-old medical books here? There are so many descriptions of gross stuff in them.” He waves one of Steve’s granddads old books around and Steve has to lean back to not get smacked by it.
“Yeah… my granddad was a doctor,” he says all while eyeing him warily.
His hair is frizzier than usual and he’s about to turn around to grab more books and Steve does not know what this is or what to do? Should he do something? That’s when he remembers what Wayne said about walks and the way he had looked, a bit stressed and disbelieving. It’s about how Steve is feeling right now so he might as well try, right?
So he grabs Eddie, pulling him along towards the door, making up the first excuse he can think of. “Speaking of my granddad, he built a tree-house for me in the woods behind the house, let’s go look.”
He walks into the woods at the wrong opening, leading them kind of far in before turning around to wander and pretending to look. He finally steers them back to where the tree-house actually is, all in its tiny rotten glory, and right at the edge of the lawn.
“Guess it was closer than I remember,” he says with a shrug as if dragging Eddie around for twenty minutes insisting it was further in is in any way a believable mistake.
Eddie gives him a look like he’s acting insane, which, okay fair but Eddie did start it. And anyways he looks better now, judgmental as all hell but better.
“Cool,” He eventually says then stomps back inside.
Eddie spends the rest of the day making fun of Steve for getting lost in the woods where he grew up but he’s not climbing the walls anymore so Steve counts it as a win.
After that he brings Eddie on regular walks, tells him it’s because he doesn’t do sports anymore and needs to move, doesn’t always feel like running and it’s boring going alone. Eddie accepts it easily but also says it’s so weird because Wayne will also drag him along on walks, and, like, what about him attracts these people who need to go on walks all the time and can’t do it alone?
Steve and Wayne have a pact to never tell Eddie, they do not even want to imagine how that would go because Eddie is a drama queen at heart and their system is working (until years later when Steve and Eddie live together hours away and Steve goes on a trip with Robin, he comes back to Eddie on his way to turn their living room into a greenhouse)
