do you have any directors commentary on the recent two updates? 👉👈 the color palette is absolutely lovely! and and and WOLF!! :DD
OH BOY DO I
In the original draft of this chapter, Wolf stays a, uh, wolf until like the 4th update. Instead of actually managing to get his teeth on the master sword, Loft threw him off immediately. The Deku Tree still said the line about all three of them being heroes and Slate is like. “Including the fucking dog????!” I thought it was very funny but a) it made some scenes later down the line a huge pain and b) I was tired of drawing wolves ALDKDKD
You may have noticed Wolf’s scowling in the bg of almost every panel. That’s kind of just his face, but also right now my guy is nursing the world’s biggest migraine from popping the shadow crystal out of his skull. He can stay wolfmode for a while, but it’s still technically a curse. It’s not consequence free, and there’s an upper limit for how long he can spend in that form. Anyway, cut him some slack if he’s a little prickly for a bit.
There were a lot of comments about Loft being strong enough to toss a wolf over his head lol. My hc is that he’s one of, if not the strongest Link sans any magic items like power bracelets or gauntlets. He’s actually not even as strong now as he was during his quest. Wolf maybe has him beat now, but he can still get tossed lolol
It might seem like Slate’s really taken everything that happened at the end of ch1 in stride, but don’t worry. He’s simmering. Loft is grateful for the opportunity to get distracted by something else. Maybe that’s why he was so willing to approach the wild animal he’s never seen before lol
This maybe goes without saying based on the events of the last two updates, but Slate never had wolf link with him during the events of botw. He doesn’t recognize Wolf.
I’m really glad ppl seem to be liking the colors bc I struggled with them so hard on both updates 🫠literally days of me turning to my roommate and going “I think I’ve never made anything worse” and them going “it looks good stop being dramatic” WKDJDK I have this thing where if I had an idea in my head for what an update should look like, and what I produce doesn’t meet it somehow, I start seeing in fucking. shrimp colors. Posting always gives me a confidence boost back lol.
these pages were cursed in general bc like. this doesn’t usually happen but I think I redrew every panel in this update at least 5 times each. that’s part of why it ended up being late SKDJF
I REALLY like the idea of being in the presence of the Triforce and having access to its power being this eldritch, divinely horrifying experience. The sort of thing that is impossible to explain to anyone and also haunts you forever. Loft spends a lot of time actively trying not to think about the Triforce. Just, like, remember that about him.
Like how tears in reality are shown through holes in the literal comic panels, I tried to show the concept of reality bending in the form of a panel stretching and twisting like a ribbon ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ I hope that came across. Triforce lore varies a bit from game to game, but I’ve come up with my own internal logic for bonus links that combines all the ideas I like lolol. We’ll learn more about it in due time!
Tumblr media
I also really like this parallel :D I intentionally set up the panels so past and present loft would line up like this. i love getting to draw flashback links it’s so fun to think of ways to convey what they used to be like, and how their quests might have gone for them. Past Loft’s not having a great time by the time he reaches this point lol
Tumblr media
I think that’s all I’ve got for now. Thanks for asking :D

You like these questions? I have more!!!
Is Redstone closer in nature to a base or an acid? Does it have corrosive properties if left unchecked and unregulated?
Does Redstone have a catalyst and if so what happens?
Can Redstone be used as seasoning? Is there a hybrid you would attribute a strong enough palette to safely consume it?
What is the general consensus on whether Redstone is dangerous? Are there people who believe that it should not be used?
How does Redstone react with Skulk? Additionally, how does it react with mobs spawning from the Deep Dark such as Wardens?
Would Redstone ever be considered a fashion statement, and if so, as what kind of clothing piece? Could you, if you made it thick enough, potentially knit with Redstone?
Can Redstone be used as a spell component for witches and evokers?
Is Redstone a unlimited resource, and if it isn't, what are the precautions on how much you can use?
Will Redstone alter properties of inherently magical things, like end crystals or totems of undying?
I have so many nessecary and unessecary questions
oh nice questions! (just for the sake of efficiency i'm gna put asterisks by any questions i had answers for already, everything else you can assume i'm making up on the spot lmao)
*Is Redstone closer in nature to a base or an acid?
neither! it's more like a scab :)
*Does Redstone have a catalyst and if so what happens?
no it does not, at least by my understanding of what a catalyst is in this context
Does it have corrosive properties?
hmm i'm gonna go with no
*Can Redstone be used as seasoning? Is there a hybrid you would attribute a strong enough palette to safely consume it?
can? yes. should? no. safely? well, tango's still alive, so...
*What is the general consensus on whether Redstone is dangerous?
the general consensus is that yes, it is dangerous, though the extent of the danger is unknown. safety measures are taken out of an abundance of caution
Are there people who believe that it should not be used?
probably. none of the hermits, obviously, but it would be very easy to disapprove of from a number of angles. at least a few people being Anti Redstone seems pretty much inevitable
*How does Redstone react with Skulk?
...see me after class
Would Redstone ever be considered a fashion statement, and if so, as what kind of clothing piece?
not clothing but i bet there's some level of prestige associated with the color of redstoners' eyes. whether they're considered good or bad would be pretty context-dependent though
Could you, if you made it thick enough, potentially knit with Redstone?
no, but you could probably dye clothes with it
Can Redstone be used as a spell component for witches and evokers?
i don't think evokers have much use for it, and i don't think witches use extended potions (could be wrong there, but also i don't consider the witches to be canon to the game lore)
*Is Redstone a unlimited resource, and if it isn't, what are the precautions on how much you can use?
the stone itself exists in unknown but presumably finite quantities, the signal it emits is infinite
Will Redstone alter properties of inherently magical things, like end crystals or totems of undying?
i don't think so? it does extend the duration of potion effects, though

‼️ TWST BOOK 7 SPOILERS ‼️
Hey Kallisto! ITS RAY HERE! I just saw this post about Grim's cape and I just wanted to drop these things here because the moment Malleus's overblot design was revealed in TWST JP, I immediately got reminded of this.
Tumblr media
Grim's color schemes during the Halloween events correspond to Malleus's colors, but what I also thought was interesting was that Grim's Glorious Masquerade outfit resembles something...
Tumblr media
Like....I'm not sure if I'm overlooking things or not, but I just needed to share this JSBSJSNJSJA
NABXHDJSJSW HI RAYYY!! I feel my brain cells floating around and trying to connect…this mystery needs to be solved 。゚(゚´ω`゚)゚。
I actually never paid much attention to Grim’s Halloween costumes, so these color palettes really surprised me! This case with Grim is fascinating because I remember when I first saw him, I thought he was connected to Ignihyde, not Diasomnia. I really don’t know what to make of these design connections expect for Grim’s curse/blessing 🧐
Although curses and blessings can technically be used by any capable mage (e.g Vil), nearly every time we’ve seen them in action were by Fae. And if Grim’s curse/blessing involves 1000 year old magic, AND he’s a magical fusion between a Direbeast and an animal…I’m betting on Fae being involved 🧐 It really is strange how he’s been getting more connections with Malleus though. Of course, I could throw in a Crowley theory haha, but I really don’t know what to think anymore! ∑(゚Д゚) Design connections between Malleus, Grim, and Crowley…I’m sure it’s nothing important 🤪
Actually, perhaps its foreshadowing how Grim eating the blot crystals will turn him into the monster from the prologue? 🧐 Specifically triggered once he eats Malleus’, which is one of the most powerful blot crystals? Ahhh 🧎🧎🧎
Actually actually (everytime I go to post this I think of another idea LOL), it’s interesting how Grim wears Malleus’ color palette in the HALLOWEEN event, where Malleus dresses up like a long. A long…it reminds me of his father’s title: Ryūgan Duke Levan or 竜眼公レヴァーン. 🧎 All these visual connections need a diagram 😭😭😭 Grim resembles OB Malleus in the event that Malleus dresses up like a long which also may connection him to his father Levan….and backtracking to the masquerade, Grim looks like OB Malleus in the event that Malleus wears Crowley cosplay…
Maybe we’re onto something after all?? Or am I just going in circles -v-
Also Ray, overthinking is all we do here LMAO 🧎We just bounce ideas off one another and see what sticks 😝 Thanks for sending me this, I had no idea about Grim’s color palette!!

Rajbow week day 3: Any AU
I know I’m late but uni started back up so I’ve been busy :( Better late than never!
This is an AU I’ve been working on, on and off, Gem AU! More info under the cut if you’re curious, it’s LONG.
This is Gem AU, works like a lot of the other SU based AU where it’s a different universe than the cartoon, they don’t exist alongside Steven and the crystal gems or anything like that. They’re in their own bubble, the only similarities is that they’re gems with powers and some core ideas like gem rebellion.
Since this post is for Rajbow week, I’ll only go over their basic information (They’re the most complete as of now anyway.)
Tumblr media
Raj is a Celestine. (Fully goes by Raj in the rebellion)
In this AU, Celestines are entertainers, specifically ice skaters. His summoned ‘item’ are a set of ice wings, similar to Lapis in canon. (The hockey stick is something he requested further into the rebellion.)
He has ice powers where he can summon ice, but not fully manipulate them. For example, he can turn frost the floor as he skates, he can summon spikes of ice to use as weapons, but he can’t freely shape the ice.
Because they’re versatile, Celestines are considered decently high-end, and are often accompanied by a Snow Quartz. ;)
Tumblr media
Bowie is a Fluorite. (Fully goes by Bowie later in the rebellion)
In this AU, Fluorites are battle strategists, ranked much higher than pearls but still works under their assigned bosses. In Bowie’s case— Well…It’s unimportant now. His summoned weapon is a dagger, perfect for stealth.
Fluorite has the power to purity, this encompasses minor healing, cleansing, sometimes the more trained Fluorites can delete data from technology too. He was also given technology similar to Peridot and Pearl’s display screens.
Tumblr media
This is a very outdated ref, since I completely overhauled their colors, but it’s fine I’ll update it later.
This is (outdated palette) Purple-Blue Ammolite! (He/They)
Ammolite is Raj and Bowie’s fusion, and their combined weapon is a scythe. (At this point, Raj had already acquired his hockey stick) However, Ammolite also has heart-shaped wings from Raj’s ice wings and Bowie’s digital screens.
Ammolite is an extremely stable fusion. They’re not exactly a permanent fusion, but Raj and Bowie do spend a lot of time fused, and they could stay fused for as long as they want. They have Bowie’s wits, sass, and the need to always look good, and they have Raj’s impulsiveness, loyalty, and pure unadulterated energy.
This post is getting too long, I’ll probably post about it once I have more content for the AU, but if you got this far and is curious, feel free to send in an ask! Thank you!

Do you accept orders from Yandere wally? If yes, you could do wally with the reader, where the reader rejects wally's dating request. The reader only sees Wally as a friend, and the reader is also determined to get out of Welcome Home and back into his real world.
Welcome Home, Darling: A Wally x Reader
Warnings: mentions of stalking kidnapping and bits of yonder behavior
A/n: I had fun writing this I hope you like it
_______
You open your eyes and blink a few times, blinded by the bright light. You look around and feel a surge of panic. Where the hell are you?
This is not your bedroom. The walls are not white, the floor is not carpeted, the ceiling is not plain. This is not your house. The furniture is not modern, the TV is not flat, the phone is not cordless. This is not your world. The toys are not electronic, the books are not realistic, the posters are not cool.
You are in a room that looks like it belongs to a freakin' children’s show, with colors that hurt your eyes, shapes that make no sense, and patterns that clash with each other. The air smells like candy and flowers, making you nauseous. The window has curtains that have smiling suns and clouds on them, mocking you. The door has a sign that says “Home”, lying to you.
"Home? What kind of sick joke is this?" you mutter to yourself as you get out of the bed with a quilt that has pictures of animals and flowers on it. It feels soft and warm against your skin, but you don't want to feel it. You kick it away from you as if it's infected.
You walk over to the dresser and stare at the mirror that is covered with stickers of stars and hearts. It shows your face, but it doesn't look like yours. Your hair is a different color, a neon pink that glows in the light. Your eyes are a different color, a crystal blue that sparkles in the dark. Your skin is a different tone, a lemon yellow that contrasts with everything else. You look like a cartoon character, not a human being.
"Who are you? What have they done to you?" you ask yourself as you touch your face, feeling for some sign of your old self.
You notice a display of makeup on the dresser, next to the mirror. They look like products from your favorite 80s brands, not makeup from a dresser. You see a compact with a blush and a bronzer, a palette with eyeshadows and a highlighter, a tube with a mascara and an eyeliner. You see a lipstick, a lip gloss, a lip liner. You see a brush, a sponge, a curler.
You feel a surge of curiosity and excitement. Maybe you can use the makeup to change your appearance and make yourself look more like yourself. Maybe you can use the makeup to have some fun and express yourself. Maybe you can use the makeup to escape from this nightmare and pretend it's all a game.
You grab the makeup and start applying it to your face. You don't care if it's too much or too little. You don't care if it's too bright or too dark. You don't care if it's too bold or too bland. You just care about feeling something other than fear and confusion.
You turn to the closet and grin at the sight of the clothes that beckon you inside. They are just right for your style and taste. They look like outfits from your favorite 80s movies, not clothes from a closet. You see a denim skirt with a graphic tee, a floral dress with a denim jacket, a pair of high-waisted jeans with a striped sweater. You see a pair of white sneakers, a pair of ballet flats, a pair of ankle boots. You see a bunch of headbands, earrings, and necklaces.
"You've got to be kidding me," you say as you jump up and down. "Is this some kind of treat? Cause it's a welcome diversion."
You grab some clothes and change into them quickly. You don't care if they match or fit well. You don't care if they are clean or wrinkled. You don't care if they are old or new. You just care about feeling something other than fear and confusion.
You hear the phone ring on the nightstand next to the bed. You walk over to it and pick it up cautiously.
"Hello?" you say hesitantly.
"Hello, apple." you hear his voice say cheerfully.
You shiver as you recognize his voice.
"Is it another one of your paintings?" you ask sarcastically.
You have no idea who he is or what he wants from you. You have never seen him before in your life. You don't even know his name. He just calls himself Wally Darling, and he calls you apple. He acts like you are his best friend, his lover, his everything. He says he loves you more than anything in the world. He says he brought you here to make you happy. He says he wants to spend every moment with you. He says he will never let you go.
You are terrified of him and his delusions. You don't know what he is capable of or what he will do to you if you don't play along with his fantasy. You don't know how to escape from him or from this place. You don't know if anyone can help you or if anyone even knows you exist.
You feel hopeless and helpless as you listen to his voice.
"No, it's not a painting this time." he says softly.
You hear him slide something under the door.
"It's a ticket." he says eagerly.
You look down and see a piece of paper with colorful letters and numbers on it.
"What is this?" you ask suspiciously.
"It's a ticket for our date today." he says excitedly.
"Our date? What date?" you ask incredulously.
"You know, our date. The one I asked you yesterday." he says casually.
"You didn't ask me anything yesterday." you say angrily.
"Yes, I did. Don't you remember? I came to your room and asked you if you wanted to go to the carnival with me today." he says confidently.
"I don't remember that." you say firmly.
"That's because you were asleep." he says slyly.
"You asked me when I was asleep?" you ask disbelievingly.
"Yes, I did. And you said yes." he says proudly.
"I did not!" you say defiantly.
"Yes, you did. You said yes in your sleep." he says insistently.
"That doesn't count!" you say desperately.
"Of course it does. It means that deep down inside, you really want to go with me." he says persuasively.
"That's ridiculous!" you say dismissively.
"No, it's not. It's romantic." he says dreamily.
"It's creepy!" you say fearfully.
"No, it's sweet." he says tenderly.
"It's insane!" you say frantically.
"No, it's love." he says passionately.
He pauses for a moment, then adds:
"Besides, it's too late to back out now. The carnival is starting soon, and we have to be there on time."
"Why? What's so special about the carnival?" you ask nervously.
He chuckles softly and says:
"Oh, apple. You'll see. You'll see soon enough."
He hangs up the phone and leaves you alone in your room.
You stare at the ticket in your hand and feel a chill run down your spine. It’s a glossy paper with rainbow letters that spell out “Welcome Home Carnival”. It has a barcode and a number that says “001”.
You wonder if you are the first or the only one to receive this invitation. You wonder what Wally has planned for you at the carnival.
What does he mean by “you’ll see soon enough”? And what will happen if you don’t go with him?
You feel like you are in a trap with no way out. You feel a cold sweat on your forehead and a tightness in your chest.
You feel like screaming, but you know no one will hear you. You wish this was all a bad dream that you could wake up from. But it’s not a dream.
It’s Welcome Home.

Cure Masterpiece (PreCure Unity Linkage)
Tumblr media
“The Princess of Inspiring Artwork! Cure Masterpiece!”
For PreCure Unity Linkage (You can find the roster Here), I decided to pull off a Hugtto and give almost every PreCure Ally + Redeemed Villain a Cure/Black Pepper treatment!
Here is Yui Nanase, who has become Cure Masterpiece!!
And for those of you who ask- she’s NOT this season’s Green Cure despite her dress being green- that’ll be Yuuki Aihara, who’ll be getting the Cure form of Cure Champion. Instead, she’s a RAINBOW cure!!
More is below, btw.
Tumblr media
I used a Renaissance style princess dress for her outfit- because the Renaissance is one of the greatest time periods for art and creativity in general. Also, the skirt will be shortened for her normal mode and extend for her Mode Elegant- with Teardrops being on the bows (Even if you can’t see them in the picture)! And she gets Acrylic Paint Flowers and Watercolor Water Lilies for her alternate Mode Elegants.
Tumblr media
Her shoes will look like this- albeit more clean, girly, and colorful with Crystal teardrops on them. (Her earrings are the tips of paintbrushes btw!) The painting is Shoes by legendary artist Vincent Van Gogh.
Also, Here are her keys:
Dress Up Masterpiece
Elegant Acrylic
Miracle Watercolor
Premium Portrait
And Attacks:
Masterpiece Illusion
Acrylic Illusion
Watercolor Illusion
Portrait Miasma
Last but not least, I pulled off a Cure Scarlet and gave her a new weapon- the Masterpiece Palette! She can insert her dress up keys into the brush to unleash her attacks.
Also, if you want me to do anyone else’s Cure form from PreCure Unity Linkage, just lemme know!

Betamon TCG
Tumblr media
6-color version:
Tumblr media
Card: Betamon (ST9-03 Starter Deck Ultimate Ancient Dragon)
I really love Digimon World, and played it at least as much as both Pokémon Silver and Crystal combined when I was a kid. And Betamon was my favorite rookie! It just sucked it always became a Numemon right after.
It's inspired by how Drak (draklord1 on Discord) draws sleeves for the Digimon TCG Simulator project
Edited to include the light outline around the subject
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It appears the Drak sleeve I used for artwork and palette sizes (Lopmon (ST10-03 Starter Deck Parallel World Tactician)) don't have this outline, while most of their other sleeves do have it

i meeeeannn like so much shit man!
I spent the entirety of last year following on livestreams. That was my experience, dodgy sounds and extreme barricade closeups. So this was like a slap in the face a punch in the stomach.
-His voice is phenomenal. After watching almost every livestream last year I was always anxious what it would sound like actually live and it was beyond perfect. The confidence added to it as well. There was a discussion before the tour started on one blog saying how Louis doesn’t sound loud enough (as loud as harry’s show because surprise, that’s always the metric to measure) because he doesn’t turn his mic high enough. And the suggestion was due to his confidence and blah blah blah. Wow fuck man, you were wrong. His voice was loud and crystal clear. I’d say my seat definitely helped in that as well, but yeah no he was fucking loud!
-Him liking the SIBWAW lights and then telling us to keep going and us being like “yes master” and continued to lift our hands up and down to finish the song. Giving us an unnecessary workout. Like my right arm is going to be sore af tomorrow.
-Him completely forgetting his first speech. I’m like ‘why the fuck is he angry at us for?’. Me and my friend were discussing how he’s going to say Toronto because the Academic singer pronounced the second ‘T’ so heavily...but then he completely forgot to speak and I thought we’ll end the show without finding it out! It felt personal ok?!
-The screens malfunctioning and completely turning off during holding onto heartache, made me question every effect in the screens later. Like was everything on purpose or was it the effect of the screen fuck up esp since there was a dead pixel that was driving me nuts. Regardless, the visuals on the screens are unreal. I can watch them with the music overlaid on top all day. Also the color palette of the lights on the stage for different songs were so so so nice. Mixed with the smoke mmmm beautiful vision.
-The rainbow project. man oh man. I saw the videos and I saw my own video and it does it no justice. I was in the upper red section so I got to see it all with a good view and it was perfection. Literarily surrounded by light. I always admire the fan project organizers. They are so fucking good and don’t get enough credit. Honestly I want to send them a gift basket or something.
-505 killed me. Like on the floor dead. “I crumble completely when you cry...” is a moment. I want to be in a session with him when he picks a song to cover. Like what goes on in that process?
-The band. Incredible. Michael. Incredible. So grateful he gets to tour with Louis so he can give him his moments. Like he OWNS his solos.
-People at the first two shows were saying how young the crowd was...I was surprised by today’s crowd. From the moment we walked in, people were definitely younger than me (34) but it didn’t feel as young as I thought it would be. Also loved seeing plenty of people older than me being there with their friends and you can tell they’ve been here a while. Diverse age group is always welcome.
agh man the only reason I’m not keyboard smashing is because I did that already in the streetcar but out loud to my friend. But my reaction to the entire gig is essentially one endless keyboard smash.
-Also finally after the show me and my friend got the orange hoodies because we wanted to look like traffic cones.
Definitely suffering the post concert blues. But at least I get to visit new york in july and attend the final one. Although nothing will beat Toronto because Toronto is home!

I happened to see a good chunk of the Netflix Persuasion. I can't give a complete review or analysis or whatever, but I have thoughts.
This movie has some very pretty colors. I like cool color palettes, what can I say?
There was one shot of a purple sunset where I was like, "Oh, I could live in this picture."
The aesthetic was so trendy I couldn't take it seriously. The clothes were that 2019 Little Women cottagecore vibe with lots of poorly-fitted textures and layers and colors. I laughed out loud at the Big White Text announcing LYME or BATH, because it's such a specific vibe.
I tried to detach from any notion of it as an Austen adaptation, and just enjoy it as its own movie that just happens to take place in a history-flavored fantasy world where everyone uses modern speech. Because sometimes those stories can be fun. It still didn't work.
Because it mostly just confused me. It was this weird mish-mash of genres and tones that didn't really blend together. Oil and water. It was Pinterest and Hallmark and Austen and College Humor and Instagram and Feminism and it's all felt like it came from completely different movies.
It was trying to be a sincere period drama love story and a goofy parody at the same time and it just didn't work.
Like, there were some sweet moments in it. Anne talking about poetry to Captain Benwick was rather nice.
But then you've got things like the weird octopus-sucking-my-face story Anne tells at Lady Dalrymple's. Even that could have worked okay in context, because Mr. Eliot jumps in and turns it into a metaphor about identity, which helps to cover for Anne's awkwardness and shows that he's willing to help her out. But then they keep bringing up the octopus as a sort of pet name and it's just so weird and doesn't fit with the rest of the story.
I've gotten ahead of myself so I'm going to backtrack to some specifics.
Mary Musgrove was excellent. Spot-on. I love how she's visibly younger than Anne. First adaptation I've seen that emphasizes that.
It was interesting how they emphasized the Mrs. Clay storyline. It actually sparked some interesting thoughts about the differences between the male social climbing of the sailors (shown in a positive light in Austen) and the female social climbing of the marriage-seeking ladies (shown in a more negative light).
I've never had a clearer picture of why Mrs. Clay matters so much to Mr. Elliot. Even in the book, it's a bit muddy, but it's crystal clear here. Mr. Elliot telling us his schemes straight-out did have the benefit of making the story very easy to follow.
I've got to back up again.
They completely altered the Anne/Wentworth storyline by mixing around all the plot points.
After they go to Bath, Wentworth seeks out Anne, says that they haven't had a chance to talk, and tells her how he always admired how good she was in an emergency. And this was before the staircase scene. I was extremely confused, until it hit me--this is a dream sequence! This is how Anne wants it to play out, but then she'll wake up!
But no! This actually happened! Wentworth says all this very sincerely and passionately, leading up to him declaring...that he wants to be friends. (At least there's context for "We're worse than exes--we're friends.")
It completely alters the trajectory of their relationship. Instead of jumping from the passion of hatred to the passion of love, Wentworth has gone to the other end of the pole--friendly indifference. He likes Anne and is totally okay with her marrying someone else.
I think they changed it so Mr. Elliot could be a serious contender in the love triangle. Wentworth has let her go--can she find happiness with someone else? I'll admit it's an interesting change, even if it's not Persuasion.
But it also seems like they're trying to make Wentworth a Suitable Love Interest for the Twitter Generation. Wentworth gets weirdly bristly with Mr. Elliot. Then Wentworth apologizes because Anne is a strong woman who doesn't need his protection. He tells her she should have been able to be an admiral. He's being mature and letting go of his resentment and wishing her well and showing that he doesn't like Regency Gender Roles. It's like they're shaving away his character growth in favor of a bland Nontoxic Relationship (TM).
But then Anne likes Mr. Elliot because he's bad? He openly talks about how he's trying to wreck her father's relationship to get the title. He insults her family. And she likes it.
This version of Anne holds her family in contempt. She doesn't like them or how they treat her and she openly disdains it. So she connects with Mr. Elliot. But the book Anne seems sad for her family--she doesn't like their behavior because she wishes they could be better people. She has compassion while movie Anne is resentful.
Persuasion is all about restraint. This movie is all about lack of restraint. People speak bluntly and say what they think and openly insult people. It's a completely different culture from the usual Austen movie, because it's modern culture. Which emphasizes how little we value good manners and restraint.
It's also weird how in changing the story, they also turn it into a generic rom-com. There's a more blatant love triangle between the good boy and the bad boy. Wentworth is starting to fall in love with Anne, but he's got an opportunity to advance his career, and he has to decide within a few days, oh no! It's textbook romcom plot points.
There was another point that I'll probably think of later.
EDIT: Oh, I just remembered! I think it was that the movie was so interested in the vibes and emotions of each individual scene that it didn't bother to try to stitch them together in a coherent whole.
The ending kiss looked 1000% like the cover of a cheap romance novel.
And the final moral of "don't let anyone tell you how to live your life" feels so simplistic and selfish and weird.
Overall, I'm not angry. I'm just confused. It's not the type of movie to arouse any kind of emotion other than "Huh???" And maybe a bit of regret that they couldn't have done better things with the interesting bits.

my helluva boss 2024 trailer analysis part 1
(keep in mind that this is all just speculation and analysis, so i can be totally wrong in the end lol)
apparently blitz and millie are going to be on a solo mission on earth together because looks like moxxie will be filling out the paperwork (b plot with moxxie and loona maybe?)
Tumblr media
this could be a coincidence but every scene of her and blitz in this ep (it's probably the same episode because of the background) millie seems upset. is she perhaps upset with blizto?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the c.h.e.r.u.b. are going to work for the d.h.o.r.k.s., it makes sense (and there goes my theory that the cherubs were going to work for the i.m.p., oof)
collin looks hesitant, just like in the scene before the fight in ep 4
also they are in a baby high chair lol
Tumblr media
blitzo used a portal to leave a message (?) for d.h.o.r.k.s. (maybe he got it from where barbie worked or he's using the crystal that stolas gave him)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
just imagine the message being "we lived, bitch", that would be hilarious xD
this scene looks like a trial. maybe it's about stolas and stella's divorce?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
blitzo is wearing the same clothes in these scenes, so i think it's from the same episode (or same day)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
he seems very hurt by stolas' decision, im really hyped to see the entire dialogue
Tumblr media
this scene seems to me like he's about to grab stolas' hand but he avoids it and blitzo ended up leaving his house. from the angle i don't think it's that far from the scene of him crying
Tumblr media Tumblr media
from the silhouette this is blitzo's mother, and since he doesn't have a scar yet, this is a flashback before the accident with fizz
and it will probably be a flashback with dialogue, because we can't do lip reading like we could do in s02e06
and her skin is more pink, like a succubus 👀
Tumblr media
i can't tell if this scene of them is the same as them on the street because the color palette is very different, red is more in the pride ring and blue/cold colors are lust
maybe they teleported to another ring to escape
Tumblr media
what we know is that on blue street loona, moxxie and millie are together
there is someone with a full robotic body, we can be sure of this because loona destroyed it and we can see the wires
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i would guess that it is a mecha and piloted by the cherubs. he character's nose is very similar to cletus
Tumblr media Tumblr media
then we have millie and blitzo fighting, blitzo's eye is greenish and has no pupils, so he must be possessed or someone is pretending to be him
Tumblr media Tumblr media
then we have millie very hurt. i think this is not real. of all the episodes, the one that would fit the most would be the ghost episode, but she's wearing her normal clothes and not a disguise. so maybe this is an indication that it is a blitz hallucination
Tumblr media
i wonder if this dialogue was millie speaking consciously or if she ended up being possessed and the ghost said all of this. right now i believe in a mixture of the two: the ghost possessed her and he made her say something that she had been keeping inside herself for a long time
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and then we have blitz having a possible panic attack and millie worried. most likely after this dialogue from millie
Tumblr media
ha! i knew that blitzo's father had interfered in his relationship with fizz while fizz was still recovering
i wonder if these flashbacks would be while blitzo is being possessed or if we will have a truth seekers 2.0, because it looks like they will be caught again by the d.h.o.r.k.s.

❤️FEATURE: @thebrickdwarf
Hi all
Let's go somewhere far far faaaar today. I have a big weakness for space and when combined with great photography… common, can't resist.
Blue and black, the best colors of space that could exist. I really like this color tone palette and with that gold helmet touch… perfect.
I like the simplicity, a couple elements, one banjo and 2 minifigures (who else likes vidiyo minifigs?) but don't be fooled, to make something look simple you have to prepare quite a simple setup. We got the foreground, which gives us this sense of depth of the frame. We got a clever lighting setup that illuminates vidiyo minifig head and crystals in the center of the frame. And finally spaceman playing on banjo sitting with alien - only in lego space.
Great frame @thebrickdwarf , thanks for sharing it with us on our discord Congratulations
As you all know we do not use IG hashtags anymore to search for photos to feature. It's just undoable in the new era of Social Media and the only way you can share your work is on our Discord where I invite you. It’s really simple

This time: Catra goes fishing, She-Ra has most of Aquaman's powers, and the scripts get even more unbearable to type. We all learn a lesson about capitalism, but perhaps not the one intended.
Transcript/Image ID below the cut
[Image Description: 14 comic pages from the She-Ra mini-comic, “A Fishy Business”.
Cover: Mermista (in her mermaid form) and Starburst She-Ra swim around underwater, smiling at a school of seven bright yellow fish. The Princess of Power logo is up top as always, and at the bottom of the page in blue, outlined in a desaturated red, is the issue title, "A Fishy Business". Below that, the copyright info reads, "Illustrations: (copyright symbol) Mattel, Inc. 1986. Hawthorne, CA 90250 U.S.A. PRINTED IN TAIWAN. All Rights Reserved. (registered trademark symbol) and TM designate U.S. trademarks of Mattel, Inc."
Page 1: A desaturated pink caption box reads, "In the forest near a stream that began at Crystal Falls, Catra was busy making mischief. She stood back to admire her handiwork, a big waterwheel over the stream. Along the wheel were small fishnets, and on the bank was a giant goldfish bowl filled with water." We do in fact see Catra standing before a giant wheel, though it can't really be described as a waterwheel because there's no way for the water to turn it; its only adornments are the 'nets', which look more like baskets but you saw the caption! Who am I to disagree? A slanted, equal-angle channel runs from the wheel closer to the bank, a sort of reverse salmon cannon into the fish bowl. Catra isn't wearing her mask, her clawed gloves are only silver bracers here, and her outfit still strays closer to red than pink. She has a crosscut or rip-cut saw in her right hand (can't say for certain without a closer look at the teeth), and a claw (heh heh) hammer in her left. Her gloves are only silver bracers here, so she doesn't have any claws, and her outfit is straying closer to red than pink.
A yellow caption box at the foot of the page reads, "PRODUCED EXCLUSIVELY FOR MATTEL BY: PENCILIER—JIM MITCHELL. INKER—TODD KUROSAWA. COLORIST—CHARLES SIMPSON. EDITOR—LEE NORDLING."
"'There. As long as I don't get wet, this water-stuff is a snap to handle," says Catra, with an evil little grin.
End Page 1.
Page 2: ""Now to see if it works." She said. Catra pulled a lever that released the wheel, and the wheel turned in the water. As the wheel went around, the fishnets bought up fish from the stream. The fish were then dumped into a trough that emptied into the goldfish bowl." [sic] on that whole paragraph. It's like they took a concept script for a picture book and just turned it into a comic with absolutely zero editing or forethought.
Speaking of no forethought, Catra sure has made this contraption within sight of the Crystal Falls, notorious hangout of Mermista and Friends. She's gripping a lever with both hands (now gloved) and looking back over her shoulder instead of facing the wheel directly. Skip Simpson, bless his heart, seems to have colored her skirt black on autopilot despite Todd Kurosawa's careful delineation. In his defense, Skip was colorist for the whole first wave as well, so he's still getting used to Scratchin' Sound Catra's adjusted color palette. Four concerned-looking fish are scooped up and deposited in the goldfish bowl.
Catra seemingly lies down in the sand to prop her chin dramatically on one hand and smirk at the captive fish. ""You don't know it yet, Fish-face, but you and I are going into business together."" Seriously though, who put all of these quotation marks in the dialogue bubbles? Why didn't Lee Nordling stop them? What kind of editor are you, Lee? Whatever. Three of the fish gape at Catra in shock.
""I can see it now. I'll open the first marine world in Etheria," says Catra. This seems to be an attempt at genericizing Marine World (now called Six Flags Discovery Kingdom), which at the time of publication (1986) had just moved to Vallejo, California and was moderately big news, featuring such wild headlines 'professional basketball player called in to pull bolt out of dolphin throat', 'tiger bites the shit out of football player at pep rally' before Vallejo moved them over from Redwood City. The year after the move they dropped an orca on William Statner (who was, tragically, completely fine). Basically, I think Catra is envisioning an animal theme park with a heavy aquatic slant, rather than a flooded planet situation. But it's the kind of theme park which puts chimps on motorcycles and an elephant on water skis. So look out.
End Page 2.
Page 3: A pink caption box reads, "Catra saw herself as master of the show. The fish would do wonderful stunts! Catra herself would be the star. And how the crowd would cheer! Handsome men—maybe even Bow—would be madly in love with her." Oh so I didn't need to explain Marine World. Okay. Well I'm leaving that in anyway. This one's for you, Norcal.
Catra imagines herself in a series of fanciful situations, whipping the fish into a cheerleader-style pyramid (her gloves are bracers again, but the rest of her costume is Scratchin' Sound Catra-accurate, including ripped silver tights and a silver skirt); staring dreamily at Bow, who's offering her a bottle of milk; and waterskiing behind four moderately sized fish, which feels optimistic even for this fantasy.
""So do some aerobics while I sew up your little swimsuits," says Catra, actually looking pretty reasonable despite the fish's shock. Can a fish do aerobics? I guess it doesn't specify that you get your oxygen through air instead of water, but I feel like it's implied.
End Page 3.
Page 4: A pale pink caption box reads, "A few days later, Peekablue was riding in the Sea Harp near the beautiful Crystal Falls while Mermista swam alongside. Adora and Spirit stood on the shore. "Peekablue! Mermista!" Adora called. "Let's pick some berries for lunch." But just then a young seal swam up to Mermista with a message.
We see the Crystal Falls in the background, and Mermista with her seal friend in the foreground, but the midground is the Sea Harp sitting on dry land next to Adora and Spirit. Is it not a boat…?
""Oh no! He says his friends, the sunfish and the tuna twins, are missing. And no one has seen the bluegills since yesterday,"" says Mermista, translating for a distressed seal with emanata that seem to indicate seal-speech.
""Hmmmm, this could be trouble. I'll go look for help!" says Adora.
End Page 4.
Page 5: A pink caption box reads, "Hidden in a spot behind some trees, Adora raised high the Sword of Protection and said "For the honor of Grayskull, I am She-Ra!" And in a magical flash, she became the Princess of Power. Then, she changed Spirit into Swift Wind." Because god forbid we draw an action pose, I guess.
Starburst She-Ra raises both arms to show off her cape, and Crystal Swift Wind raises both wings. They're so sparkly that light refracts all around them, twinkling and vibrant.
End Page 5.
Page 6: A pink caption box reads, "Peekablue and Mermista were glad She-Ra had come to help. She-Ra suggested they split up. Peekablue said, "I don't want to get my lovely feathers wet, so I'll follow the stream leading into the forest. With my many eyes I'll be able to see any fish who went that way. Then I'll meet you later."" She-Ra stands beside Peekablue in front of the Crystal Falls, and Mermista watches them from the water.
A pink caption box reads, "Then She-Ra and Mermista dove into the Crystal Falls pool."
She-Ra dives, Mermista just looks like she's floating downwards. It must be hard to slow down enough for a human (super-powered or not) to keep up.
End Page 6.
Page 7: A pink caption box reads, "Deep in the blue-green world, the two friends passed great sweeping fronds of sea moss, sparkling stones, many-colored shells, and the broken columns of old ruins. But, oddly enough, no fish. And no one seemed to know where they were!" She-Ra and Mermista swim past a coral reef, some decaying, vaguely Grecian ruins in the background. There's not a fish in sight.
""Have you seen our friends, the fish?"" She-Ra asks an octopus, who shrugs and says, ""Nope."" Apparently She-Ra can breathe underwater in this one.
""Fish should stay in one place, like I do," says a bivalve, "Then they wouldn't get lost!""
End Page 7.
Page 8: ""Then I hope Peekablue has already found them,"" says She-Ra, looking concerned.
A pink caption box reads, "But Peekablue found something else. As she followed the stream through the woods, her eyes searched the water. "I can see all the way to the bottom!" She exclaimed. But then her special eyes noticed something further upstream." Oh shit. Her brand.
Peekablue is shown wandering alongside the stream, Catra's contraption bleary in the distance.
End Page 8.
Page 9: ""Why, it's a wheel! I wonder what…?"" says a pink caption box, which was probably supposed to be a thought bubble.
Another pink caption box reads, "Suddenly Catra rushed out of the forest. "What do you want, Feather-head?" "Catra! What are you doing here?" Peekablue asked. "I was taking a catnap. Now go away!" "Hummph!" Peekablue said as she walked away. But she thought, "I'm going to tell She-Ra about this.""
I really think they're doing this dialogue-within-captions schtick to torture me, specifically.
Peekablue is shown looking startled, the Crystal Falls once more in the background, as Catra leaps out of the bushes in front of her.
End Page 9.
Page 10: A pink caption box reads, "A little later the three friends met at Crystal Falls. Peekablue told what she had seen. She-Ra said, "I suspect Catra knows where the fish are. Let's find out." "Wait," Mermista said. "I want to go along." She dove, then flipped out of the water, her silvery tail dancing on its surface for a moment." We see Mermista, surrounded by a few perfect tendrils of water, suspended above the surface as Peekablue and She-Ra watch.
A pink caption box reads, "Then with a spin she landed delicately on the shore on two legs!" and we see a four-stage, Animorphs-style transition between her two forms.
""There. I'm ready!"" says Mermista, to a smiling She-Ra. Her hair is a little more purple than usual, but it plays off the yellow in the background well.
End Page 10.
Page 11: A pink caption box reads, "The friends soon found Catra's waterwheel and watched as more fish were caught in the nets. She-Ra said, "I thought so!" On the ground nearby were blueprints for Catra's plans, and She-Ra looked them over. "An amusement park! Leave it to Catra!" She-Ra stopped the wheel, but Catra, who heard their voices, came running. "
She-Ra stares at the plans in apparent wonder as Peekablue and Mermista look over her shoulder. Fifteen of the yellow fish are trapped in the fishbowl. Mermista's pants are orange. Peekablue is smiling for some reason.
""Just what do you think you're doing here?"" asks Catra, who looks mildly affronted with her hands on her hips and a single eyebrow raised. She's missing her gloves again.
End Page 11.
Page 12: ""Saving my fish friends from your clutches!"" says Mermista, with no expression whatsoever. Her necklace, which is a shell on the toy and a simple pendant in the Filmation show, is a tiny yellow fish. Presumably it spits water the same way.
""They're mine now, Miss Scaley-tail! Now go away before I…"" says Catra, with a mild frown.
A pink caption box reads, "But Catra had no chance to finish her threat because Mermista quickly drenched Catra with her water spray. "Yeee-ow!" Catra screeched, as she jumped back. "I think you're the one who should leave, Catra," said She-Ra "while we try to undo your mischief.""
Catra is soaking wet now. Would have been nice to show that action, instead of just telling us about it! Would have been a nice break from shot-reverse-shot close-ups! She-Ra, Mermista, and Peekablue all smile at her. Her gloves are still missing.
End Page 12.
Page 13: A pink caption box reads, "As Catra ran off, She-Ra lifted the giant fishbowl overhead and dumped it into the stream. "I think it's time you fellas went back home to Crystal Falls," she said. And the fish were very happy to do so." The illustration shows She-Ra doing that. You know, redundantly.
""I don't think we should leave this here either, She-Ra. Catra may use it again," says Peekablue, pointing at the wheel contraption.
""You're right, Peekablue. And I think I have a good idea," says She-Ra.
End Page 13.
Page 14: A pink caption box reads, "Later, under the water at Crystal Falls, She-Ra and Mermista turned Catra's wheel into a ferris wheel. The nets were replaced by little seats. Their friends rode happily 'round and 'round! Mermista said, "I wish Catra could see her waterwheel now!"" The fish have set up a tiny admissions booth and everything. Various sea creatures gambol about.
In an oranger-than-usual 'moral' font color, She-Ra says, ""Yes, and I wish Catra would learn that it's not right to use others to get ahead."" Girl, what? You mean the fish? You guys just assaulted her, stole her waterwheel, and undid days of work because she didn't immediately agree to your demands. Now is the time for a moral about how removing species can negatively impact a biome, or against cruelty to animals (not that 1986 was necessarily ready for that). Is this a good time to mention Mattel owned The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus for a couple years?
""Now—how about a ride?"" She-Ra suggests to Mermista, beckoning her on. They won't even fit in the tiny little seats. Stop benefiting from using others, She-Ra. It's immoral.
End Page 14.
End ID.]
