summary : the crushing weight of everything and everyone changing is a bit too much. jean wants to bear the burdens with you.

warnings : hurt/comfort, mostly just therapy for my crumbling mental state, amateur symbolisms (?), established relationship, no use of y/n (im trying smth new) not proofread!!!!!

a/n : this is kinda like flaws but worse? idk I just needed to write something to comfort me and I'll be nothing if I don't use my writing to fix me <3 anyway! self projection as always but I love you if you relate to this and I'm always here to listen if you need someone to talk to. I'm also probably gonna take a hiatus after this fic but we'll see (I'm here to talk to regardless of that!) <3 i honestly don't expect this fic to get that much traction but anyway! enjoy!

you were used to contradictory sentences. double negatives that were only meant to confuse you, double positives that you thought meant anything but, adorned with a sarcastic smile and a roll of the eyes that left you needing to figure the meaning out yourself.

jean was a walking contradictory sentence. he was a walking double negative, one that you didn't know how to understand. he was blunt but sweet, cold and warm, never being in one spot with his feelings, always on his feet but not running away. somehow he stayed.

all your friends were moving on. every one - sasha was moving out with her boyfriend niccolo, a chef who she had become extremely close to over the past year and who treated her in the highest of regards. your other roomate, Mikasa, was also moving out, but not with her boyfriend, eren, as you had suspected but instead for a chase of starting a new flourishing business of selling handcrafted oxidised jewellery online. that and being closer to eren, she had explained to both you and sasha.

Marco wasnt moving, per say, but he was already applying for his masters in law to broaden his perspective, and there was a prospect of him going abroad for his soon to approach future. he was currently visiting his extended family. Connie, surprisingly, was the first of your friend group to actually get a job at a marketing firm, and even if it was sort of exhausting, people praised Connie's charms and puns that made people buy the products. he was also helping Mikasa with her business, alongside eren and armin.

jean, currently making dinner for the pair of you in your mostly empty apartment, was also interning for an architectural firm. well, he hadn't started yet, but he did get accepted with the interview he gave last month.

and you? even though you were currently looking for new roomates to occupy the now empty spaces in the apartment, you felt lost. sure, you had a plan, and had also applied for a handful of internships, but that didn't mean you knew what you were doing.

you were used to keeping things and people in boxes. it started ever since you were in middle school and had just heard about books like Harry Potter and divergent, books that had a clear distinction of which people belonged where. you'd define people with those distinctions so it was easy to figure them out; it was easier to think of someone in a faction or Hogwarts houses or godly parent instead of actually trying to figure them out with all their complexeties. eventually it graduated into astrological signs that were probably all bullshitted anyway, and into MBTI types. there was always an explanation for something, and if it wasn't given them you'd find it out for yourself as you always had. but you couldn't go by those simple classifications anymore. they were too narrow and too claustrophobic.

but you also hated too-wide expanses that came with simply existing. the expanse of your unknown lifespan, the limitlessness of unlimited time, the enormous amount of things you had yet to learn. it was easy to get lost in nothing. how did your friends and family and all the people around you ever manage to make a clear path for themselves with a multitude of stops and landmarks when you didn't even have the basic gravel and stone and concrete to get started on making a road for yourself? would you be yet another chapter that ended in a fullstop in their thick books that they'd flip away from? the change - the uncertain steps - were never something you looked forward to.

helping mikasa and sasha move out was a challenge, another full stop in their books, helping Connie by teaching him how to properly format professional emails was another landmark that he passed, seeing Marco off at the airport before he caught his flight was another certain step.

the wide tumultous blue of the sea that you were floating in and it's unnerving depth used to be somewhat manageable. you had been swimming with your friends for a long time until your fingertips got all shriveled up, but now it seemed as though they had all swam away from you and towards a shore they were looking forward to, but you werent. the horizon line was all you could see, and you dared not to open your eyes underwater to see how deep the water was.

you were happy for them, ofcourse you were. you loved them with all your heart, and sections of your essential heart were left only for them with their names carved into the ridges of your brain. but the change was too much, too empty, too wide, too limitless, too uncertain.

a knock on the wood of your bedroom door made you turn your swivel chair towards the noise, and jean stood there against the doorframe, leaning on it. "dinner's ready. didn't know which movie to watch, though." he said, and only half of his words are registered by your ears.

you nod, your lips quirking up only slightly. "I'll be there in a bit," you say, watching Jean's brows knit closer together. you loved the way his forehead crinkled in obvious worry and concentration, but you didn't have the tongue to speak out your admirations.

he tilts his head. ever the observant, he asks, "what's wrong?"

his tone is patient. his words demand acknowledgement.

you sigh a little, knowing you can't hide anything from him. you thanked that quality of his, even if it was a little inconvenient at times, because his unrelenting persistence was the reason you felt so loved today, the reason you and jean had gotten closer in the first place.

your shoulders slump, "i dont know how to explain it," you say, because it's true, but also because even if you could explain it, you wouldn't know where to begin. but you begin anyway, even though you know it would end with you trailing off. jean would understand anyway as he always had. "just.... everything's changing... and I, i dont know, i dont really like change, I guess." there's a pause and you refuse to look at his face which you're sure is observing yours carefully as he always does. "it's just...too much." you say, shrugging at the end. "it's too much and I don't know how to deal with this. like everyone's dealing with it better than I am and I don't even know if I've....if I've grown much, if at all. i dont know what I'm supposed to do. i dont know what my role is, like i just, i wish there was an author writing my life so I'd know what to do because I don't know how to...how to do everything myself. i-" you didn't know when the lump had formed in your throat, refusing to be swallowed down anymore after being ignored for months on end. "i dont know anything, jean, and it's scary." you say, and your eyes don't shed tears even if theyre stinging. you wish you could cry just to get it over with.

you were probably overreacting. everyone was doing so great with themselves, and at the end of the day, it wasn't a big deal. so what if everyone would move on with their lives? wasn't that what was supposed to happen? so what if your friends would probably forget you? shouldn't you be glad that you had them in the first place? wasn't it better to have felt alive for the first time than to not have felt it in the first place?

warm and sturdy arms wrapped around your unshaken frame, and you were pulled away from your rolling chair to sit down on your bed. the mattress dipped comfortably under you as it always had and jean smelt like he always did and you took comfort in the predictability. your sheets would smell the same today and tomorrow and the day after, your clothes would be in the same closet, your mirror would be in its same place in the bathroom and jeans arms would always hold you softly.

he held you for a couple minutes as you wallowed in your own sea. your legs were in his lap, leaning your weight on his arms. your eyes were closed, and you felt his warm hands rubbing circles in their place on your thigh and on your back.

you speak again, feeling the need to be understood even though you already were. "i just wish that... that I could freeze time whenever I have a good day." you say, and it's the final nail in your coffin and the final scoop of dirt on your grave. it's all you have to say, it's all jean needs to hear as he holds you a little tighter.

he hums in thought, no doubt thinking of a proper response. sometimes you wish you could take a peek inside his head, just to see, even for a useless moment, what he was thinking about. and more selfishly, if it was about you.

but that didn't matter because who was jean if he didn't speak his mind? his cheek rests on the top of your head and you can feel his warmth, and you wish you could let his warmth spread all over you, you wish that it would ignore the barrier of your skin and go straight to your organs and muscles because your warmth hadn't felt like it had been yours for a very long time and Jean's heat would be much more than welcome. but that was wishful thinking and you feel him kiss the top of your head instead, and you accept it.

"you know," he finally starts, and you can hear his heartbeat. "when we first met I had one of the moments you're talking about. the want to like.... somehow freeze the moment and just relive it forever." he says. you don't move, you don't dare remove your head from his shoulder afraid that if you did, he'd be another thing lost to the depths of your mind.

he continued. "what I'm saying is, i know what you're scared of. that your friends will forget you and move on without you. but... i dont think they will. i dont think anyone can. don't you think just like you have parts of them in you that they have parts of you in them? I've seen it. sasha started talking like you like a month after you guys moved in together. Mikasa likes buying flowers now. Marco texts like you. Connie has so many jokes that only you'd understand. and i-" he says, cutting himself short with a small breathy chuckles that makes your heart dangerously stutter, "i dont think that, god forbid, if we were to ever not be together, i dont think that i would ever be able to forget you. but that's probably because I'm in love with you and that's not changing for atleast this lifetime," another short laugh, "i dont think any of our friends, any of your past friends could ever forget that you existed. i mean, you'd always be there. youd always exist even if it is in the back of their minds.

"and you don't have to know everything. it's not a race. it's just...a nice walk, if anything. you don't have anyone or anything to catch up to. you can take your time, love, and i know it's hard convincing yourself of that, but you can. and if it's any consolation," he says, grabbing your hand that had formed into a loose fist on your knee, encasing your hand in his, "I'm...I'll be here. even if we aren't talking, which I'm pretty sure won't happen, but even if it does, I'm here. i will be." he says, squeezing your fist.

his words breathe comfort into your lungs that rested inside the prison your ribs had become. your chest felt a little lighter, the stubborn knots in your stomach were slowly undoing themselves and maybe his words didn't undo any damage nor did they paint over it but they did help heal.

you breathe in deeply, burrowing yourself even further in his shoulder, and he thankfully gets the message as he holds you tighter, like he's the only twine holding you together. you nod, and he kisses the crook where your shoulders meet your neck.

"thank you," you whisper, something that could get lost in his clothes but he catches it and shakes his head. you know what he's going to say before he even says it and you smile a little.

maybe jean was a contradiction to himself, a double negative, a not not persistence. and maybe you did feel lost, maybe time had swam away from the desperate deathgrip you had on it. but jean was there. he wasn't a fullstop or a chapter, he was more of a "okay, and," sentence, something that continued over with a comma, and he wasn't a guide that held your hand towards the shore, but he was more of an insistent presence that helped you not drown by holding your hand. he wasn't the shore itself, but he did provide the comfort of finding footing against the depths.

not a race, not a stand, just a walk. a walk with your hand in Jean's, a walk with uncertain but hopeful steps.

not a book, not a chapter, just scribbles of incoherent but excited writing in a diary.

i did that as an example just bc i saw one person complain they were boiling sting down to that and yukino in 100yq SDJKFHSK aye aye cap

before read more is when they each realized they had feelings, after is when they started to do anything with it

spoilers for gmgs and alvarez??? if people havent seen them yet

its after the gmgs and probably during the dragon king festival that sting realized he really liked natsu

like natsu kicked his ass in that 2v2 and i feel like most dragon slayers would find that hot so he probably started to realize his idolizing of "the salamander" has turned into a crush around then

which made him a bit more angry at fairy tail and a bit more willing to try and fight them in the final brawl. where he, again, got his shit wrecked. and not even by natsu

and during the festival when nearly everyone was bandaged up and already running on fumes natsu was one of the few who wasnt nearly that bad

so when the fight was nearly done and natsu was able to be on the ground and not flying on a dragon he was the only one who could move quickly

bc sting nearly got impaled by falling debris an there was no chance he could move out of the way an ultear had long since turned back time already an there wasnt much light he could hide in

natsu was able to shove him out of the way and the debris only grazed their legs. gave sting a concussion, falling down on the brick road with all the force of natsu fucking dragneel in a protective state, but that was better than death and oops there goes my heart

natsu probably realized in the alvarez arc somewhere

natsu woulda had no thoughts before that. the most hed think about sting is as a friend in a lesser way to gajeel, since they both started off "bad" but gajeels in his guild and sting wasnt so. more time to bond with gajeel

when sting ate rogue's shadows natsu could feel it. hes fucking unconscious, yeah, but hes also draconic and demonic fire. he can feel the presence and absence of warmth. so when warm light meets warm darkness, he can feel it

it absolutely did not help that little "are you a dragon or a demon" thing going on in his core but it did pull him towards the right answer faster than canon. just more painful and it just kinda sped the whole thing up more so natsu was burning up on lucy's back before they could fully get to porlyusica

the realization wouldve come at the end when everyone had time to share their side of the story. saying "im neither. im human" doesnt really affect your instincts and whatnot. hed already be looking between rogue and sting when someone mentioned they were doing something after he had passed out

he had long since realize rogue's shadows could be cold and warm. he figured it was rogue doing something wacky while sting did something wacky. learning sting fought through starvation, ate rogue's shadows, and beat someone up WHILE STILL FIGHTING STARVATION. and it was ALL FOR NATSU. his heart went soaring. even if he just thought he was amazed and/or proud of how far sting had come. so he,,,, didnt actually realize it

when sting realized, he also already thought natsu and lucy were together. hence his constant idea that hes just gonna be the idiot pinning in the background to an obliviously thickheaded, taken man for comedic relief

when natsu realized-without-realizing, not only did he not actually realize it, but he just kinda. shrugged. and he started wanting to get to know sting more and train with him more and fight with him more but like. thats just typical friendly behavior to natsu

and sting actually let natsu do all that. he let natsu pull him away from guild master work to talk and train and go on quests and whatnot. but it just meant that sting could throw flirts straight at natsu's face and get either a too-serious answer, a too-joking answer, or a blank stare bc what in the hell does that mean

sting would walk over to lucy at some point in time and be all "look your boyfriend is far too fucking dumb. i love him but i respect that you two are together but also can i go on fake dates with him. please think of the comedy of me, sabertooth's master, saying i go on dates with lucy heartfilia's boyfriend. thatd be so fucking funny"

but then lucy just looks at him and is all "my,,, my what? are you saying natsu's my boyfriend?"

sting would look back at her and nod and hed be confused bc. what does that mean. and when lucy starts busting a gut laughing her ass off hes even more confused

when she finally calms down shed say "natsu's more like my dumbass friend who couldnt tell the difference between flirting and shit-talking in a fight. i cant deal with something like that in a partner. hes all yours"

so sting gets excited. hes thinking about all the dates and all the gifts and all the funky little pickup lines and then he realizes just what lucy said and he realizes that not only did she immediately knew who he was talking about. meaning hes already so fucking obvious. but that natsu straight up doesnt get flirting. which is also obvious but to have it confirmed

he had run off after quickly thanking lucy. so when he realized this he was already way too far away. his hearing sucks but he KNOWS lucy is laughing her ass off and honestly he would be too if he wasnt the one smitten with a dumbass

sting would just say fine. whatever. all those fake date ideas he had were just going to be real dates whether natsu would say they were or not.

sting got desperate to call everything a date. he even called them dates TO NATSU'S FACE. and he wasnt getting it

he saw lucy and gray and happy and cana and laxus and minerva and gajeel and mirajane fucking strauss tease natsu! hes sure erza even got in on it!! hes sure lisanna and yukino got in on it!!! natsu just kept saying how good of a friend sting was and how proud he was of his accomplishments. WHAT WAS THERE NOT TO GET

sting even kissed his cheek one time. natsu saved his ass on a quest. again. for the like eighth time. but this one was actually a mistake and not the dramatized little mess ups sting does sometimes to see what natsu would do. so he thanked him with a kiss to the cheek and natsu just SMILED and said "that's what friends are for!" WHAT.

sting didnt even know how natsu couldnt tell the difference between talking smack and flirting

until natsu "talked shit" in a fight and THAT WAS FLIRTING. THAT WAS STRAIGHT UP FLIRTING NATSU WHAT THE FUCK.

but noooo natsu would say hes was talking SMACK. STINGS BOUTTA SMACK YOU UPSIDE THE HEAD AGAIN DUMBASS

when the training had finished and natsu said that sting just. went on a rant. about how different shit talking and flirting was. he went into details. he gave examples. he made sure to start trying to kick natsu to make sure he was paying attention because their adhd asses liked to just look off at butterflies every fucking second without something to do

sting got so riled up he started throwing white attacks around at natsu. natsu started throwing fire back but he was asking questions that just KEPT. MAKING STING. SO ANNOYED. BECAUSE HOW HAS NO ONE EXPLAINED THIS PART OF MODERN HUMAN BULLSHIT YET.

it was when stings voice got so scratchy and his throat got so raw that he finally stopped giving natsu a fucking crash coarse in modern romance. he stopped fighting and back on the ground. and it was silent

until natsu walked over, straddled stings hips, and said "so... all that time we were eating and talking and fighting, you were trying to mate me?"

and sting drags his hands down his face and looks up at natsu with the least impressed expression he can while honestly very embarrassed. he cant even say anything again. so he just nods.

"yknow you couldve just said 'hey, want to be my mate?', and i wouldve said yes"

"BULL FUCKING SHIT"

"i mean i wouldve asked you to wait because it only took until you started throwing white magic at me just now to realize that i liked you but. i probably wouldve said yes a few months ago."

"FUCK YOU, NATSU DRAGNEEL"

"do it yourself, coward"

happy and lector, who had taken to the sky the moment they started using magic, just sigh when that made sting start sputtering. natsu probably didnt even fully realize what that meant. but the exceeds are just glad the long and torturous slow burn is finally fucking over

I JUST FINISHED READING THE TRANSLATIONS FOR BOOK 7 AND GOSHHHH so spoilers under the cut i guess???

azul was in jamil’s dream but was just kinda there,, but ill take azul crumbs any way i can!! at least it wasnt anything bad LOLLL bro called jamil master 😭😭

also vil’s screaming and all that was HILARIOUS i think ive seen ppl say it was bc he had a fear of heights but it seemed more like motion sickness? im not sure, but he was so dramatic i love it.

BUFF EPEL ALSO HELPPPP i used to think iy was actually a fanedit until recently so seeing it in canon was just… unbelievable HELPP

ALSO ROOK I ALREADY SAID THIS BUT HE WAS SO CUTE IN BOOK 7, like the way he gushes abt his interests and even idia relating to him, is so,,, so me. he’s me. I LOVE SAVANACLAW ROOK AS WELL!! he looks AMAZING. also i think he has freckles?? im guessing he like, covers it with makeup or something now but THEYRE SO CUTE.

ALSO I JUST LOVED THE SCENE WITB KALIM LIKE,, coming to the realizations of jamil caring about him as a servant, not as a friend. it wasn’t very addressed so plainly in book 4, so it was really refreshing to see and a big step for kalim and jamil in my opinion!

ANYWAY, since we r going backwards, i am SOOO HYPED FOR OCTAVINELLE’S DREAMS! azul is likely to be last and im looking forward to see his dream the most, but im really curious to see what jade and floyd’s will be! maybe jade’s will be something abt,,, uhhh mushrooms. idk really. it’s a mystery and IM SO EXCITED FOR IT.

ALSO, this is not gonna happen soon but im really interested to see cater’s dream as well! from hints in the story, we can tell that cater isn’t as cheery and happy-go-lucky as he puts himself out to be, but they never directly say it. maybe in his dream, they’ll examine that theme a bit more? then again, he wasn’t the one who overblotted so it might not be that serious? im not really sure but im excited for it anhway!!! IM EXCITED FOR RIDDLE AND ACE TOO!! riddle’s is bound to be pretty good considering how he overblotted, and that seems to be the theme so far, but we know next to nothing about ace.

like, we see who he is on the surface but do we really know what a happy dream to him is? like, his aspirations and all that.

unimportant, this reminds me of the time i was thinking about a danganronpa x twst crossover and STRUGGLED with what ace’s would be. i ended up just picking ultimate basketball player, but it still doesn’t seem entirely accurate. we don’t really know much about the inner workings of his mind or what he was like before arriving at nrc so im really curious to see what his dream will be.

EITHERWAY, im rambling and i doubt many people, if ANY 😭😭, will read this but goshhh i have so many thoughts i love this book so much😭🙏🙏🙏 peace and love guys.

You get captured by an evil guild. You have sexy time. Then Gajeel and Natsu fight for your hand.

Rising up early you felt a hand that's not your hand. Looking over you see a pink haired cutie. You immediately think of what happened last night. But for the love of god you cant remember. Too much booze. Your fully clothed so nothing weird happened. Though mating season is coming right up quickly.

'He couldnt possible love me. Yea were just friends unfortunately' You take a shower change and get ready for your day. Natsu is rustling awake, yawns and stretches his arms.

"Morning sleepy head" you state and pet his head as he gets out of your bed.

"Could you light my burner please?"

"Sure no problem" as he yawns he flicks his finger and a tiny flame popped out while smiling. He inserted it into the hole and waited for the fire to rise.

'Finger? Hole? Give it a rest brain I know your in heat' you think to yourself. After making a huge breakfast mainly because he eats so much, you both and Happy merrily go down the road to the Fairy Tail Guild. Meeting up with Erza, Grey, Lucy, and Wendy, and Carla we all looked at the poster board and wanted to do different things. So you took a poster that said to slay A Chimera 120,000 jewels. You all part ways but agree to meet tonight and your off on your own down the road once you get to the location you were caught off guard

"Wh-" as you were knocked unconcious.

~A Full day later

"Wheres (n)? She didnt meet up with us last night, but I thought she was just tired." Natsu says concerned.

"It is strange how one hundred percent of the time she checks in and this once she didnt" Erza announces.

"Well let's go look for her" Grey says. Lucy, Wendy, Carla and Happy nod at this.

"All right let's check what quest she was gonna do ah there! Slay a Chimera 120000 jewels. Shes crazy, alone? Wow!" Lucy states dumbfounded. "Let's go!" Natsu yells as he runs out the guild doors saying he has to find her frantically.

~At The Spot

Natsu sniffs the air sniffs until he finds your scent until he finds your beaded bracelet that's been torn off.

-Natsus POV-

"This was hers she had it on this yesterday morning" I say as Grey opens his mouth.

"What are you sleeping around for pick one all ready" Grey punches my head. Suddenly a huge robot dragon emerges from the ground. Emblem is a dark guild.

"Now that I have your attention dragon slayers. Behold one of your own is about to be sacrificed" The evil guild master Vugo yells and laughs maniacally.

"But (n) isnt a dragon slayer let her go or I got a bone to pick!" I yell and tremble with anger.

"Actually she is a dragon slayer of gravity Natsu. She made me promise not to tell anyone but she is gonna die!" Lucy exclaims which makes me even more mad grunting clenched jaw.

'Why didnt she ever show me? Why didnt I know about this?' You think quietly to yourself.

"Shes behind dragon proof armor in my robot you idiot's. The timer had been set oh looky only three minutes left until she dies into dust." Vugo Yells down to the team.

"NATSU HELP!" I hear (n)s voice muffled from the robot.

'She must have been here all night while we were all at home. Poor (n) out here all alone with no one to help' I think quietly to myself.

-(n) POV-

"Well I'm sorry I wasnt here earlier you must have been scared and felt all alone well I'm here now!" I hear Natsu yell as he powers up. Everyone stands back. Lucy is the only one who knows you have a crush on Natsu. Well maybe Erza knows too or just suspects it but she never says anything.

"Hey Natsu the weak point is there!" Happy yells over to Natsu who's powered up. Everyone gets ready.

"Okay I'll work on the robot, you guys get the creep!" Natsu yelled as he jumped up with fire feet then double jumps towards my direction as your blacking out you hear glass break as your ripped out of the holder. You feel so warm against his skin as he holds your freezing body you can only make out the others dragging Vugo behind them as you look up to see Natsu you pass out in to his chest. You could have sworn he was blushing.

-One Day Later

I follow Erza and Natsu follows me by being hooked together. Which makes everyone follow. We all arrive on the second floor and hear Erza talking then we see them as we all come up the stairs.

"Oh dammit you kids just fix everything up send Gajeel to the med ward there" the master says as Erza, Grey, Wendy and Carla walk off.

"Um okay but drinking wont solve this but your lucky I'm stocked all. The. Time." You say without mercy. You pour some wine into two glasses.

"Okay by me and hey thank you for before noones ever done that for me before" sipping your wine.

"Well I'm glad I could help any... you seem to have been very in love with her shes lucky.." you chug your wine and begin again while Natsu chugs his you refill his glass.

"It wasnt meant to be. My heart was just looking for you this entire time (n)" Salamander says in a matter o fact tone. Which makes you blush very red.

"Oh yea what are ya thinkin my lil salamander" he chuckles.

"Oh man you guys are so screwed tomorrow goodnight" Happy says interjecting.

"Okay Happy" we both say.

"Let's drink to us" you say but then Natsu raises a glass

"Lets drink to love" he says and I nod and cheers with him. Eventually you both finish six bottles of wine and curl up with Natsu as Happy curls up by the fire place. You and Natsu wrap your arms around eachother you deliriously kiss him all over as he passes out you fall asleep as well.

-The Next Day

Rising up early you felt a hand that's not your hand. Looking down you see a pink haired cutie. You immediately think of what happened last night. But for the love of god you cant remember. Too much booze. Your fully clothed so nothing happened.

'Wait this is deja vu' you think. You look at Natsus resting peaceful face. You bend down and kiss his lips.

dude ive been dissociating so hard specifically about monster hunter?? like i just laid down on my bed and i was holding my cat and. the organic wind from my fan IT. i couldnt imagine myself as anything other than vik in astera just snoozing somewhere and the wind is hitting their face like. ITS SCARY sometimes i can feel myself there thats how bad the autism is its . MY HOME THATS MY HOUSE!!!!!! im. im going insane just a little like IS PLAYING MONSTER HUNTER EVEN ENOUGH? would it EVEN be enough.. I WANT TO GO THERE!!!!! but i cant. im gonna think about it a whole lot against my will tho you better believe my brain is gonna be like wow. you just ate. this is like monster hunter!!! SHUT UPPP..... IM SAD the autism beast is like teasing me

never remind me how much monster hunter means to me cuz i WILL cry about it

i think its extra special cuz like. WE KNOWW ALREADY im agoraphobic the only times i go out is when im WITH A GROUP OF FRIENDS, or im going straight into a car and on my way to a different building. it makes me really sad cuz like. my sibling is mean about it, they pick on me for never going out and never getting sun but. YEAH ID REALLY LOVE TO. id love that more than anything, im just... scared

but when i play, im not!!!! im viktor, master rank hunter of the 5th fleet, i go out on expedition for DAYS just enjoying the beauty of life, the beauty of the new world.. i do whatever i want and i go wherever i want and im not AFRAID, because no one can hurt me out there. no one WOULD hurt me. monster hunter feels so. AND never get me started on how i feel about the MONSTERS, no im. the autism is so severe . mhw is on par with FNAF in terms of how deeply engrained it is in me. like fnaf changed my life shaped how i grew up and who i am as a person, MH WAS A LITTLE LATE TO THE PARTY, BUT.... i dont have 700+ hours in fnaf do i 😼😼 ive played that game for 72 hours straight when i got back into it in 2020, i played that game til i RUBBED THE WASD KEYS OFF MY SIBLINGS KEYBOARD. i played til i got carpal tunnel and even after i put on a wrist brace to TRY and make it feel better I STILL PLAYED!!!!!!!! i literally wasnt taking care of myself NOT DRINKING NOT EATING LIKE. ONLY A LITTLE IN ALL THAT TIME I WAS OBSESSED...... can you blame me?

ive said it before, monster hunter is an autism special that like. HAS BEEN COOKING ALL MY LIFE, and it only was finally released on me in 2020 cuz like. i used to grow up watching my older brother play it!!!!! even if i was like 7 i still remembered names of monsters and they stuck with me FOREVER to the point where like. when i was 11 i named characters after some of them on my shitty dA art alright it was so. He went to talk but we both stopped to look at Bethany, since we heard her yelling.

She stood there, infront of Ellie Williams, pointing her finger in her face, both stopped.

When I first got to the QZ a year ago, she was the first person to catch my eye. When I first saw her, she was walking down the hallway with another girl, holding a small book and laughing. I caught a glance of the book and it was a pun book. I also caught the way she hung her head back while laughing, smiling bright. She was the only thing on my mind for weeks after that.

I later found out her name and the name of the girl she walked with. Riley. They were best friends and roomates, and apparently Ellies only friend.

My roomate was named Bethany, she was popular. I made my goal of staying at the QZ to be liked. I didn't really like Bethany, but she was nice to me, saying the boys would be all over me, so we became friends. It wasnt until a week of staying and being Bethany's friend that I realized she was a bully. I almost thought her, Ellie, and Riley were friends, since I had never heard their conversations, only seeing them talk from afar. But once Bethany dragged me with her once she saw Ellie and Riley, there was a pang in my heart once she slurred out insults at them.

And I didn't do anything. I just stood there. In fact, once Bethany turned around for my reaction, finding it funny to bully them, I laughed with her.

It was like that for months. Just so I could fit in. I even got a boyfriend by the third week of being there. His name was Daniel, I didn't care for him one bit, so when I found him only two weeks after dating, making out with some other girl, I had to hold back an eye roll to act sad.

Then almost a year of being at the QZ, dating a new boy named Trevor, still laughing and watching Ellie and Riley get bullied, Riley left.

Nobody really knew where she went, she just kind of vanished.

"What? You aren't gonna speak back now that your fucking girlfriend is gone?" Bethany said to Ellie.

"Just give my shit back" Ellie said, you could see how tired she was from getting bullied in her eyes.

I looked down to see Bethany holding Ellies walkman and headphones. Bethany turned to me and scoffed, bumping her elbow to me. "Look how fucking pathetic she is, Raine"

I normally wouldnt have said anything, just nodded, but I needed to start doing more stuff for Bethany to stay my friend and Trevor to stay my boyfriend.

"I know, she must cry herself to sleep now that her dyke relationship is gone"

I looked to the ground as I spoke, not being able to look Ellie in the eye. Bethany laughed. "Totally, her only friend is dead and she has nobod-"

I wasn't expecting it, even though this has happened countless of times, but Ellie swung a punch to Bethany's face. Bethany stumbled back, and the walkman and headphones she had flew out of her hands.

I took a step back, watching as Ellie swung another punch, causing Bethany to trip and to fall on her back. Ellie got ontop of Bethany and continued punching.

ok i finally feel coherent enough to post my spiderverse thoughts. theyll be under the cut and ill tag this post "atsv spoilers!" (as well as anything else i rb.) if you havent seen the movie id advise against checking the notes as well jic someone replies

so like. first of all what the fuck. i was fucking slackjawed from the last 30 minutes of the movie starting to getting home and sitting down. absolutely MASTERFUL movie in every way imaginable. i dont have the words in my head rn but its just. GOD. fuck. i will be buying the artbook when it comes out

individual points:

-i really really do love the curtains are blue style gwen trans allegory good fucking god. WHAT THE FUCK shes so good. by no means the main character (i was actually kind of worried when thebmovie started like i do love her im glad she got some shit but ibwas like...is this gonna be from her pov the whole time when miles is here...it wasnt!) but i adored her in this shes so ficking full of issues

-HOBIE. HOBIE MY FRIEND HOBIE. i really enjoy his presence in the movie- when hes mentioned once or twice before appearing i thought hed have a rivalry with miles but that was absolutely not the case. in retrospect its really funny that miguel grabbed him for his fucked up spiderverse shit giving that his entire MO is anarchism but if he were not there miles would absolutely be hurt or worse. im INCREDIBLY excited to see what they do with him in the next movie- especially because i can kind of see him as a parallel to aaron in a way? such free spirits ...artistic .... also i dont have as much to say about him but god pativr is so good i love him. i LOVE HIM

-peni was my favorite character in the first movie when i was younger but i had since grown like...worried about her showing up in future movies because of her stereotypical portrayal. its probably too early to give a clear for now nor is it my place to comment on the actual content of that BUT for what its worth she seemed much more faithful to the comics' tone in this movie- it seems that the implication was that peni experienced her comic run in between movies? her mech and outfit are far different. she was fucking HAGGARD when she first showed up. ham and noir coming back in the next movie will be nice but i do hope that they replace hams voice actor.

-miguel is so fucjing fascinating. people either seem to desire him carnally or hope he dies and im definitrly not in the former and im like.....nnnot entirely in the latter. intetesting character excited to see where he goes! what the FUCK was his problem though. you are a GROWN MAN trying to tear a 15 year old asunder because hes like hey i dojt want to stand idly by and watch my dad perish dude. he sucks and is horrible and i want to study him. jessica also really but she seems less fucked up and more like...willing ti take care of her responsibilites despite the emotional toll. excited to see if they clash more in part 2

-i dont even have the words to describe the animation but everyrhing is so beautiful. a few characters have sketch guidelines on them despite being 3d! the first fight scene of the movie contains a chararacter from a fucking da vinky world and hes in sepiatone and its fucking GORGOEUS.

-miles. ohhhhhh milesmilesmilesmiles saving the best for last. what do i even say man the progression of his arc, the way the smallest action of his from the first movie set off a massive chain of events, the turmoil he goes through and comes out stronger. his PARENTS. HIS RELATIONSHIP TO THEM HIS WORRY FOR THEM. i nearly screamed when he went in the wrong universe and aaron was there, AND HIS DAD WAS DEAD, THE THING HE WAS TRYING TO PREVENT. AND THEN ALTERNATE MILES BEING THE PROWLER. IS THE IMPLCIATION THAT EARTH 42 MILES WOULDVE BEEN THAT UNIVERSES SPIDERMAN BUT BECAISE THE SPIDER LEFT HE BECAME THE FUCKING PROWLER???? FUCK MAN!!!!! i need to see him thriving i hope he gets home okay. amazing movie amaaasizinngngnnn
