#i watched 10x01 for this
Text
I have an idea! We can still watch PD without giving any money or views to NBC/DW.
Found a website with great quality and it’s free and has all the eps and will have all the new eps (maybe just a day later) with no relation to NBC. If we want Jay back, we have to affect their wallets starting with 10x01. And that might mean we have to wait a day or two for the ep, but it also means that NBC/DW is not getting our views.
Money talks, everyone! Who’s in?!
Reblog and boost!
(If some fan accs have big twitter/IG accs, feel free to post this there! I only have followers on tumblr and Wattpad, so I will be posting there)

Ps. Tagging some mutuals/bigger blogs so they can see this and spread the word: @eagerforthesky @i-like-sparkly-things @resanoona @anotheronechicagobog @imjustwritingg @xofeno @fank0ne @anniesardors @shipcago

Hey MT!
I noticed some concerns regarding Melissa's return and AMCs overall marketing, so I wanted to weigh in with a marketing perspective that may shed some light. Let me preface this by saying I don't work in TV, but if someone in TV marketing wants to weigh in if I get anything wrong here – please do. I'd love to hear their thoughts and yours, MT. I also want to be transparent and say I’m a Caryler. Take this if it resonates, or leave it <3
Marketing works best when it's directed at a specific audience. There are two major things to focus on (I’m oversimplifying for brevity) – aggravating audience fears and teasing audience desires. When marketing hits the mark, it elicits strong reactions. Then they lean into that to keep the audience engaged and maximize their viewership for a show.
From what I’ve seen with Daryl, AMC focuses on aggravating fears. The fear of Daryl being retconned is big and easy to tap into. It's safe to assume they’re targeting Carylers as their audience pool because we always react strongly to AMC’s marketing tactics. Why not Daryl fans? Because his fans (most of whom adore Norman) are ride or die and will watch no matter what. But Carylers are a larger group that they can count on if they deliver Daryl AND Carol.
From what I’ve seen AMC leans on leaked info or set pics to gauge/tease audience interest. For example, everyone was worried after seeing the set pics of 10x01. The strife in the fandom manifested itself and aggravated our fears for them. Because there was a fear of D0nn^e going canon, the Caryl reunion ended up being spectacular (especially with their foils being present for it). Without that fear, it would've been good but not great.
They aggravate your fears (or let them fester) so they can go in and relieve them later with a big payback. But it only works if you get well-timed sneak peeks of the payback because there's always a risk of losing the audience if they lean too hard into the fears. (For example, "I'm never gonna hate you" after the cave/Carz3kiel tease, "It's a date" placed in between the Reaper arc and Leafy's return, Carol holding Daryl's hand in Outpost 22 after D0nn^e ship baiting.)
Bonus points if the big payback is a big surprise.
Speaking of…
If Melissa is co-leading S2 of the spinoff, why aren't they announcing her return? Many Carylers are openly untrusting of AMC after last year. So announcing Melissa's return is a huge gamble. They give up their biggest advantage if the reactions are mixed (not to mention, lose face). Which may explain why they go out of their way to minimize her involvement (*coughs* upfronts). So when she shows up as a big surprise, the response is overwhelmingly positive after over a year of watching our fears being pummeled (and we feel more forgiving of the story because we’re so excited to see Caryl again).
But in the meanwhile, what they can do is let our fears fester while teasing audience desires to give us a sneak peek into the payback we could get. Why do we keep finding nuggets of info from the cast and crew confirming Melissa's involvement as the premiere draws near? It’s not a lot and not "official," but it’s enough to keep us talking about the “big silver-haired surprise” we get if we tune in.
I wouldn't be surprised if they sprinkle ambiguous easter eggs until the S1 finale to keep us Carylers engaged. Because my speculation is Melissa will show up as our big surprise in the S1 finale.
I won’t go into how much this kinda marketing incenses me. I leave you with this: end of the day, if my speculation is correct, they know canon is the only way they can maximize engagement with Carylers – which is a good thing.
We have a future, everyone. Caryl on <3
*Please* go into how much this kinda marketing incenses you hahaha
Thanks so much for sharing. I’m not in marketing, entertainment or otherwise, but everything you said sounds about right and this has been one of my biggest gripes all year. Continuing these tactics on an audience that already reached its breaking point last year feels manipulative, reckless, and doomed to fail anyway. Maybe a more honest approach isn’t possible for S1 because the quality is just that 👎, but I sincerely hope AMC doesn’t wrongly assume fans will be too excited about Carol’s return to care about the how and why. They tried to use Caryl’s final lines to each other in the series finale to distract us from the shitty spinoff fiasco, which only got mixed reactions at best. I hope they know how to maximize engagement like you said.
Thanks again for your insight. I think it’s super helpful and a good reminder to refrain from engaging on anything that we don’t like. Hold onto your wallets until AMC delivers on its promises.

Still digesting Brokenwood 10x01... Will definitely have to watch again (and again)...
For some reason, though, it gave me a vibe of anticipating when Shepherd retires...? Like Sims teasing Chalmers about still only being a detective constable and then showing him doing quite a bit of investigating on his own. And Shepherd having Sims take the final 'gotcha' interview with the murder suspect... Just gives me 'passing the reins' vibes (even if it wasn't intentional).
Loved the plethora of recurring/regulars/townsfolk in this episode.
Looks like Gina is going back to being a bitch to Kristin...
LOVED Daniel being unable to resist solving the puzzle that was stumping Kristin, but like was respectful enough to let her have her go first. I just love him.
I thought we were overdue for a new bar for Ray. lol

hi aj! I was checking your meta page (it’s so good by the way) and I was wondering if you have some kind of masterpost where you talk about actual dates for certain episodes. I was mainly wondering how much time passed between Sara leaving in season 8, then returning, then leaving again, then Grissom leaving, then Sara coming back in season 10 lol but it’s honestly something that I think about whenever I watch any episode, regarding how much time has passed from a bigger event until then. Sorry if you’ve answered something like this before! Thanks so much for taking the time to answer this too!
hi, anon!
i don't have a masterpost with the full timeline anywhere for two main reasons: 1) because the timeline isn't in a format that is really conducive to tumblr. it's a big, sprawling, unwieldly excel sheet with many contingencies and notes and whatnot (just because the csi timeline is a mess and nothing is as straightforward as it ought to be, unfortunately); and 2) because it's still a work in progress with lots of blanks in it.
that said, i am always happy to answer timeline questions and supply the dates i do have on request!
re: your question:
sara leaves vegas not long after midnight on 11.16.07 (see episode 08x07 "goodbye & good luck");
she is then away from vegas for almost exactly six months. for at least part of this time, she is reportedly in san francisco visiting her mother (see episode 08x08 "you kill me").
sara returns to vegas on the morning of 05.18.08 (see episode 09x01 "for warrick"), catching a direct flight immediately upon hearing news of warrick's death.
sara remains in vegas for a little over four months thereafter, during which time she lives at her and grissom's condo but doesn't resume working at the lab. it is unclear what she does to occupy her time while grissom is at work during this interval.
sara leaves vegas again on 09.27.08 (see episode 09x02 "the happy place") and eventually joins a sea shepherd expedition (see episode 09x05 "leave out all the rest"), which ultimately takes her to costa rica.
grissom reunites with sara in costa rica sometime in early january 2009 (see episode 09x10 "one to go"). sadly, episode 09x10 "one to go" is one of the episodes i've never been able to find a solid date for.
after their rainforest reunion, grissom and sara spend eight months living together—during which time they marry and move to france—until 09.24.09 (see episode 10x01 "family affair"), when sara returns to vegas to "moonlight" at the crime lab while she and grissom await some sort of research grant that they apparently never do end up getting.
thanks for the question! please feel welcome to send another any time.

Hi Dove!! Same q to everyone this week: what are your top 3 wincest episodes, and why?
Happy Wincest Thursday (technically) and thank you for the ask Spike!! It took me a while to get to this because the last time I watched the show I didn't really enjoy Wincest so I haven't actually watched the show from a Wincest perspective and so it was kinda hard finding episodes :D But I finally managed 1x01 Pilot I feel like this is kind of an obvious choice, but I just love their whole introduction. It doesn't really have that whole co-dependent obsession yet BUT it has some hints of it. I like how Dean pretty quickly goes to his brother when John doesn't come home and how he's also willing to let Sam go back to his normal life. He wants what's best for his brother, and knowing Dean, being alone without family is probably one of the worst things for him, but he's willing to sacrifice that to make Sam happy :) Also something something, them physically fighting and pinning each other to the floor being hot shit 2x21 All Hell Breaks Loose This one's mainly for Sam's death scene because holy it's one of the most impactful, gutturally painful (in a good way) death scenes in the show. Dean holding onto Sam, telling him that he'll watch out for him, not wanting to accept the reality of it and trying to calm his brother while he's dying? And holding Sam in his arms, just rocking him after he died? Just pain 10x01 Black, 10x02 Reichenbach and 10x03 Soul Survivor I know you asked for favorite episodes but I'm gonna break the rule because these three just kinda belong together in my mind. I absolutely love Demon!Dean (because squandered potential) so any episodes with him are always a plus. But I love that Sam kind of shows just how obsessive he is too! The idea of Sam hunting Dean is just always so good, because we know that Sam would 100% put all of his energy into it, pretty much neglecting himself and everything else to find his brother and "rescue" him. Also, Sam would absolutely be jealous of what Dean and Crowley had, and that Crowley that Dean actually ran away with him and didn't want to be found. Just so much potential and subtext there <3 Also, I don't know why but I love Dean trying to chase down Sam with a hammer, so many thoughts about that

One Last Kiss
Fandom: Bones
Rating: T
Pairing: Sweetooth (mentions of polyamory)
Word Count: 975
Warnings: angst, set during 10x01, kissage, pre-existing poly, Sweets p.o.v., set in my poly verse
Summary: Sweets and Booth after Daisy drops by.
A/N: technically this is a sequel to my unfinished Sweets/Booth/Bones fic, but it wouldn't leave me alone and I don't want it sitting in my docs forever. Just know that the three of them were in a polyamorous relationship during his stay with them in s8 and they still had sporadic sex throughout s8&9. Title is from the song from Bye Bye Birdie (the lyrics are actually rather fitting considering how the episode goes)
Tumblr media
Lance watched Daisy shut the door behind her as she left the apartment, chewing his lip nervously. He heard Booth shift behind him and turned to face him with a smile he hoped wasn't too guilty-looking.
"So, a baby, huh?"
"Uh, yeah. Look, Booth, I'm sorry I never said anything. I only found out about a month before all this started and we were waiting for the right moment, but…"
Booth closed the space between them and clasped his hands on Sweets' shoulders, his gaze softening as it locked with the psychologist's.
"Sweets, hey, no, I get it, alright. I'm not…I'm not mad at you about this. Hell, I'm happy for you, really. What did Bones and I tell you when you moved out, huh?"
"That even though we weren't living together anymore, it didn't mean we'd stop being a family."
"Exactly. We're a family, Sweets, and Daisy, and little Lance Jr., they're gonna be a part of that family now, too. You have nothing to be sorry about, okay? Me and Bones, we're always gonna love you, and we'll always be here for you, kid."
Sweets nodded, the guilt about Booth finding out about Daisy's pregnancy this way now shifting into guilt about the focus suddenly being on his life rather than the real problems Booth had come here to discuss.
"God, Booth, you came here to work on what's happening with the investigation and I've gone and made it all about me."
"Don't be. Seriously. There's really not much more to talk about anyways, until Bones and the team find more evidence. I'm sorry for the blow up over it when you stopped by the house, I'm just…laser-focused right now."
Sweets pulled away and sat on the couch, gesturing for Booth to do the same.
"I've missed you, Booth. I hate that I couldn't come see you, but Bones told me you said it might compromise the investigation."
"Yeah. I didn't want them tailing you. You don't need that. Visiting me in there, the guys at the Bureau would've stopped trusting you; you needed all avenues open in case something popped up, you know?"
"I understand. It was just hard." Sweets turned to face Booth, not quite able to meet his gaze. "I told Daisy about us, about our situation."
"Oh? Oh…um, does Bones know you told her?"
"Dr. Brennan was the one who suggested it." Sweets looked at Booth, breathing out a sign of relief when he saw that he wasn't angry, just slightly worried. "She said she thought Daisy was the type of person who would understand, and that it was important for her to hear it from me, as early as possible, rather than finding out down the road. And, she was right. Daisy was, is, perfectly accepting of it."
"Is?"
"We've discussed it, and included Bones in the discussion, and she's okay with it if we continue on the way we have been. Actually, she's expressed interest in maybe being included in our dynamic, if you're okay with it."
"Really?"
"Yeah. They haven't done anything, because Dr. Brennan wasn't able to discuss it with you, but it's obvious she and Daisy have a connection that goes deeper than just working together at the Jeffersonian. And, Daisy has admitted she thinks you're appealing."
Booth chuckled lightly, the worry disappearing from his face. He gave Sweets a cocky grin.
"She thinks I'm hot, huh?"
Lance rolled his eyes and grinned back.
"Well, you do have that ruggedly handsome thing going for you. Especially with that stubble." Sweets huffed out a breath. "Booth, can I just kiss you already? Can we just…can I just have that, and we save all the complicated talk for later? I-I know you just got out of that place, and you probably have a shit load of stuff running through your head, but I just need-"
Sweets' babble was cut off by the press of Booth's lips against his, and he let himself just melt into the kiss as an arm wrapped around him, pulling him closer. This was what he had needed, what he had been missing the last three months. Booth's all-encompassing passion as he took the lead. It was present in everything the older man did, and no less evident in this moment as he deepened the kiss, urging Sweets' lips to part. He moaned into Booth's mouth as their tongues met, and fisted a hand into his shirt, clutching him close as the kiss lingered on.
Booth was the one to break away, just as Sweets' other hand crept its way towards his lap, pressing his forehead to the younger's, breath coming out in ragged pants.
"I can't, Sweets, not now."
Sweets swallowed down the whimper of regret, the sting of rejection pushed aside by logic. Booth had only been out of prison for such a short time, of course he would need more time to readjust. He'd barely even had enough time to be with Dr. Brennan and Christine before he came here, it was unreasonable to expect him to be in a place, mentally or emotionally, to want the kind of intimacy the kiss was leading towards.
"It's okay, Booth, I understand, really."
"Thanks." Booth released his hold on Sweets and stood up. "Look, I gotta check in with Bones and see if the team has made any progress. And keep this new guy Aubrey from looking too closely. Man, he gets on my nerves."
"Alright. You'll keep me informed, right? And, you'll call me if you need anything? Anything at all. I'm here for you and Dr. Brennan. So's Daisy."
"Yeah, I know, kid. I'll let you know if something comes up. And..thanks. For this, for everything."
Lance smiled that 'don't mention it' smile of his and watched Booth walk out the door, lips faltering into a worried frown.

M*A*S*H - Viewguide, S10
Are you interested in the long-running anti-war situation tragicomedy M*A*S*H (1972-1983), but there are simply so many asterisks and so many episodes?
Well I can’t help you with the asterisks, but nor can I help myself: I started watching all 11 seasons of M*A*S*H, and bringing back for you my viewing selections, chosen for The Qualities.
— — —
Hiiiiiii guuuyys. So something new has happened, here in the tenth season. Her name is Karen Hall. Who is Karen Hall? Well I've looked into this: a young writer Alan Alda met in a workshop he was teaching, was like, uh, you rock totally, pulls a Daniel Craig on James Bond, and gets M*A*S*H to hire her for last season's ‘Father’s Day’ (none for Margaret's dad with left beef). This season, she’s got four more scripts, and her name is on every episode as the series' new story editor. I kept thinking I was seeing “Karen Han” and going, well of course Karen would freak this, and the thing is that sentence is still right: Karen freaks this. Season 10!!!! My favorite season since Season 6?? Itself my favorite since Seasons 2-3??
And just one more (!) after this, oh my gOD....
M*A*S*H - Season 10 Recommended sequence
10x01-02 ’That’s Show Biz: Parts 1 and 2’ - A U.S.O. troupe gets stuck at the MASH for a couple days, and unlike all the other two-parters they’ve done, this one really uses the pace of having a full hour, seeding so many elliptical details and unexplained behaviors that they are in no hurry to answer just yet. It gives these two an intriguing depth. Also: former burlesque dancer played by GWEN VERDON. Aah-aah-aaaah!!
10x06 ‘Wheelers and Dealers’ - I’m including this one for two reasons. 1) Rizzo, whom I don’t believe I’ve featured yet, and when he’s in the pocket, boy does this raspy Bayou weirdo make me laugh. And 2), I *think* this is gonna prove the last big blow-out finale of BJ being such a jerk to everyone over his family, and we definitely should go out with the bang that is Margaret tearing into him with a perfect diatribe that’s been two seasons coming. Cathartic! And then this seemingly clears the way to shift gears, or change roads, whatever episode-apt vehicle metaphor you want, and set us now humming along the rest of this season with pretty much exactly the BJ I would have expected we’d have at this point when I was in Season 5 or 6: tall mid-tempo California-goofy sweetie who mostly does actually like other people, including his Army-issued boyfriend.
10x07 ‘Communication Breakdown’ - Like, to wit: very next episode, BJ’s slow adorable amazed grin to the mess ceiling at Charles showing his whole ass over the PA (foreshadowing) had me, confusingly, going: [Trapper voice] Hawkeye, I think I’m in love. It’s another Karen/Alan co-pro, baby, and Season 10 is now really kicking OFF.
10x10 ‘’Twas the Day After Christmas’ - Two visiting Englishmen straight out of WWI Britfluence Colonel Potter into adopting their topsy-turvy Boxing Day tradition of having the enlisted ranks swap roles with the officers, and oho, are they also All SO COLD about it, and oho are they doing [short shaky exhale] this:
Tumblr media
10x10 you mean 10/10?
10x11 ‘Follies of the Living - Concerns of the Dead’ - The ‘Written & Directed By Alan Alda’ contribution this season is this Distant Voices, Still Lives ass title (affectionate) heading the episode where Klinger has a fever and is seeing ghosts. HIGH degree of difficulty on this one, my good friend, and for the first part I was like, maybe?, and then we get to the dead soldier hanging out with Margaret in Furious & Marvelous mode, and then the best drinking scene this show has ever done. The pitchest black wry comedy, mostly just gutting. Mostly just exquisite.
10x12 ‘The Birthday Girls’ - Outrageously boyfriends Hawkeye & BJ are trying to become cow fathers, while Margaret & Klinger finally get their mandated bond in adverse conditions outside of camp arc and are like, we have been waiting for your call. Riotous and sweet with an ass script that won’t quit, it's Karen Hall’s ‘The Birthday Girls’, [opening locket meme] my Beloved. ❤️
10x13 ‘Blood and Guts’ - The fact that the villain is a misleading writer is honestly so tasty for this show to do.
10x14 ‘A Holy Mess’ - A riveting turn that features a sort of semantic legal battle around religious sanctuary (COOL), but above all, this is an episode about eggs. Talking about eggs, thinking about eggs, the consuming drama of how the eggs will prepared....this is what I meant about riveting.
10x17 ‘Where There’s a Will, There’s a War’ - Sorry to end a second season list in a row with an aid station episode (and third season I've done this overall), but just, my GOD, take this—
Charles: “I hope you manage to stay beautiful until Pierce gets back to see you.” BJ, sudden quiet dread: “Back from where?”
and go, go!!!!
Season 1 • Season 2 • Season 3 • Season 4 • Season 5 • Season 6 • Season 7 • Season 8 • Season 9 • Season 10 • To be continued

Watching 10x16, Hailey had the exact same look throughout the episode of just being done with Voight and how he continues to do things, it's exactly the same look Jay had through 9b to his exit (especially 10x01). Also the lingering camera shots on her. So I'm wondering if they'll use/include that as a reason for her to leave intelligence (whenever that'll be), her not wanting to be that kind of cop, tired of crossing lines etc
I could see it. I keep thinking back to the talk Hailey had with Voight in the parking lot in season 8… I think it was 8x14. Where Voight and her talk about her relationship with Jay. She also tells voight that intelligence has been the most steady, consistent thing in her life, even though it’s completely unpredictable. A small part of me wonders, if she’s headed out the door, if she will have her own sort of moment where she realizes she needs to get outside of intelligence - that the most steady, consistent thing in her life is her husband. (Don’t argue with me about this, he is - I’m ignoring the writers and what they are currently doing) and have her make her own decision to leave too, paralleling what more or less happened with Jay. And then they ride off into the sunset. It would be so neat to see them do a small circle moment for her character and for their relationship, but I also think that right now I can’t even fathom giving the writers that much credit. 😂💀

Hi! Which are your favorite Jolex episodes??? (Not ones that are too sad please)
Oh, Anon I have a list! The bold ones are my ultimate favorites!
9x09 and 9x10 They really start to like each other and become friends. It's so funny to watch them compare childhood traumas and then con people together.
9x14 Where they work together and then Jo brings him donuts and we can see that he's falling in love with her! 🥰
9x17 Jo tries to talk to Meredith about Alex and I can start to see that she has feelings for him.
9x19 Alex starts to look at her fondly while he helps her with a patient, it's super cute.
9x21 Alex acts all nice to Jo and her boyfriend and then admits he loves her to Cristina. It makes the whole episode worth my own
9x24 Where they get together! Alex finally admits his feelings and they kiss.
10x01 They're finally together and they both just wanna make out but they keep getting distracted/pulled away.
10x03 They're both so horny for each other and they want to sleep together, but they're not sure if it's too soon and the interns are all hanging out at his house. Then Jo greets him with an empty house and this little speech for him, but he just hoists her over his shoulders and takes her to bed!
10x04 A great one because Jo doesn't let him push her away even though he acts like an ass.
10x12 April’s wedding where Alex has this big speech and says that he loves her and he wants to be with her and wants them to be a family and it's so cute.
10x14 The non-fraternization policy where they fake a break-up and then sneak around together!
11x06 Where Jo has a hard case that brings up her past and she’s worried about her and Alex's relationship. Alex just reassures her that she's got him and I love the line, “I'm not going anywhere except home with you.”
11x08 But only the scene at the end where they're arguing and then they kiss. Then Jo makes him chase after her and he does and he slaps her ass 😉
11x12 They tease Arizona together the entire episode! Then he watches her walk away after she walks in naked on him and Mer talking as he just looks at her and says “I'm going to marry that girl.” and he did 😀
11x24 They were kind of fighting most of the episode, but it's still good and I love how they make up the end. Jo surprises Alex with the loft and tells him that she loves him for the first time and she wants to be with him.
There isn’t a lot in season 12 because they fight through most of it as Alex prioritizes Meredith and Jo get’s nervous and I hate it! And when they do have good parts it’s like one scene an episode!
12x03 One of my favorites, (honestly they should have had a real pregnancy scare in this one, but at least they tease it.) Then in the last scene, Alex pulls down his pants and says he wants to make a baby with her and Jo just laughs. (again they should have made a baby!!)
12x20 This one has a really good scene at the end where Jo explains why she has a gun, and why she got it, then why she's giving it up now and he just holds her! 🥺
12x24 I know they're fighting through most of the episode, I like the angstyness okay. But Jo says she's ready to have a baby with him! Then she gets drunk which is hilarious. Alex comes home because he realizes he wants her no matter what….. and then he punches Deluca.
13x06 They have a few interactions together but I like Alex's storyline on his own. It’s also the start of Waffle Sundays!
13x09 Is a really good one because Jo finally tells him about her past and there's just this really intimate scene between them. Alex decides to face the consequences of what he's done and protect Jo. I feel like everything he does going forward from this is to protect Jo.
13x10 Again a really good Jo episode and a really good over episode overall and then she finds out about Alex 😭
13x12 Just at the end when Jo finds out Alex is not in prison and goes and just hugs him! 🥺
When we're into season 14: they're golden era.
14x02 Starting off with Jo sleeping with Schmitt and then he makes fun of her for it. But Ben tells Alex why she's hesitant to get back together with him and they talk. He promises her he's never going to hurt her and she kisses him.
14x03 Where they're finally back together and kissing in elevators again and Jo asks him to come home.
14x07 is a really good episode for both of them, but they only really have a scene together at the end. Jo says she's going to divorce Paul and he asks if she’s sure? She says she is, then she kisses him. Then she tells him he smells like fish because he’s been cutting fish and was on a boat all day.
14x9 and 14x10 are other really good episodes for Jo specifically and Alex is just there to support her through all of it and it's really sweet to her. I love the hurt/comfort we get. Then Jo stands up for herself and Paul dies and she's free.
14x15 Another one of my favorites where they work a case together and Jo proposes to him!!!!
14x19 where Alex works so hard to save this patient, but then she can't be saved so she leaves. Then they have a scene together at the end where Jo says she wants to take his last name and that she wants to have his babies 🥰
14x22 Alex goes to see his mom and Jo just supports him the entire time and when he gets angry Jo gives him a good outlet for his anger and talks to him.
14x24 Their wedding episode!!! The whole thing is absolutely hilarious. It’s so cute, I can't believe they get locked in the shed trying to have sex on their wedding day next to a corpse, but then they get married on ferry boats and it’s so cute.🥰
Then season 15 part one is their silver era of marriage.
15x01 Alex just wants to enjoy his honeymoon and make babies with her, but Jo has this big idea she's trying to pursue. So he lets her do what she loves and then brings her food as she shares her idea with him.
15x03 Drunk Jo and a sunburned Alex as they try to pitch her idea to Bailey for a fellowship.
15x4 with horny Jo just trying to get laid, but Alex has his mind on work.
15x08 Where the electricity goes out in the Loft and they get stuck due to the windstorm. They have a second honeymoon featuring drunk Jo!
15x12 Not necessarily a Jolex episode but it had Holiday jolex!! But it's kind of a sad one, but the scene where she tells him, she loves being married to him. Then she rests her head on his shoulder while their patients get married. 🥺
15x15 Where Alex’s mom shows up and Jo just supports him again.
15x16 With the baby hats! Helen knits baby hats for them and Alex says he wants babies, but Jo gets freaked out. Then she says she wants babies with him but after a DNA test. Also, Jo, Link, and Jackson are such a good trio. Then the rest of the season is just depressed Jo and we don't get any babies 😢
16x01 It has a lot of angst and hurt/comfort between them but they find their way back to each other and Alex proposes to her again and it’s super sweet.
16x02 It's got a few scenes of them together, but basically. Alex offers her a job at his hospital, but then she gets a job at Gray-Sloan. Alex says “I feel used” and she's like “I know but I still love you.”
16x06 Where she dresses up for Halloween and follows him around at work because she wants to spend the day with him. Then they get officially legally married again!
and that's where Gray's Anatomy ends!

some ghostfacers effect headcanons~
glimpsing Reality here!! what Really Happened™️!!
* = from scripts, etc
1x07 Hook Man - Dean blew the sheriff in hook man to let him and Sam off link
"Backside" is gay porn
SAM Yeah, but hustling pool? Credit card scams? It's not the most honest [legal] thing in the world, Dean.
1x08 Bugs
DEAN Hunting's our day job. And the pay is crap.
DEAN Well, let's see honest [legal] (He holds out one hand.) Fun and easy. (He holds out the other, and gestures that "fun and easy" outweighs "[legal]".) It's no contest. Besides, we're [I’m] good at it.
1x15 The Benders - Dean hooked up with a guy in the restroom while Sam was getting kidnapped 😔🙏
2x01 In My Time of Dying - John and Azazel kissed when John made his deal
2x20 What is and What Should Never Be - Carmen is maybe a man from a car ad (and this was all Chuck)
3x01 The Magnificent Seven - Dean: Hey, I appreciate you giving me a little quality time with the Doublemint [Wonder] Twins.
3x10 Dream a Little Dream of Me - *Dean confronts John in his nightmare and stands up for himself*
4x01 Lazarus Rising - Dean crawled out of his grave naked
4x05 Monster Movie happened before 4x03 In the Beginning
*DEAN: For a fed, you’re not a total prick.*
4x14 Sex and Violence
dean and Nick kissed
-
NICK I should be your little brother [yours. *I’m what you need.*] Sam? You can't trust him. Not like you can trust me. In fact, I really feel like you should get him outta the way, so we can be brothers [together]. Forever.
-
SAM You poisoned him.
NICK No. I gave him what he needed. And it wasn't some bitch in a G-string. It was you [me.] [*Nick strokes Dean’s hair*] A little brother that looked up to him [partner,] [someone] that he could trust. And now? He loves me. He'd do anything for me. And I gotta tell you, Sam, that kind of devotion? I mean, watching someone kill for you? It's the best feeling in the world.
4x13 After School Special - Amanda Heckerling was maybe a boy dean made out with (her name is Amanda and they made out in a closet idk) (although this entire flashback and all flashbacks are up for debate because of not only it being skewed by the perspective of whoever is remembering it, but with the Chuck revelation, Chuck having the ability to change and implant memories entirely)
5x04 The End - ghostfacers plus possible Zachariah and/or Chuck effect, Cas's orgy isn't just women because i mean come on now. And Dean and Cas were very much fucking in that future, all the more reason for dean to think he corrupted him.
*"The only thing we have left, Dean and me, is each other."*
5x22 Swan Song - when Dean drives up at Stull, he’s playing Led Zeppelin, maybe Immigrant Song or Kashmir
5x18 Point of No Return
"last person who looked at me like that? I got laid [fucked]."
6x10 Caged Heat - The porn was hardcore bdsm
7x20 The Girl With the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo - Dean has a dumb nerdy tattoo on his ass
season 8 - Benny fed off Dean in purgatory to make him stronger in fights while dean’s human body was in a perpetual state of stasis (and/or they fucked)
8x22 Clip Show - cas buys dean lube with his porn and toilet paper
9x04 Slumber Party - Dean and Charlie are high for the entire episode after they watch Game of Thrones.
9x06 Heaven Can’t Wait - anti ghostfacers effect, headcanon that nothing happened after they left Nora’s and Chuck blipped them ahead in time to the morning giving them false memories because he saw what could happen otherwise. I think he did this a lot (see also: 5x03)
9x08 Rock and a Hard Place happened directly after 9x06 Heaven Can’t Wait
9x08 Rock and a Hard Place - the born-again virgin group is an ex-gay support group
9x10 Road Trip - Crowley and dean kissed to make the deal to let crowley out to help Sam.
10x01 Black - dean and Crowley argued about Anne Marie while fucking male triplets
10x02 Reichenbach - Dean said “I ain't your fuckin boyfriend” not “I ain’t your friggin bestie”
11x17 Red Meat -  "choking on a burger [*auto-erotic asphyxiation*] while binge-watching Charles in Charge." "That was peak Baio."
11x18 Hell’s Angel - "there's times I want to get slapped [whipped or choked] during sex by a girl wearing a Zorro mask. That don't make it a good idea."
Nick was never brought back in s12, lucifer had a different vessel
12x19 The Future - *Cas's vision was like in the script, with him shirtless and Dean thanking him* (I don’t know if this was Chuck’s doing or not though)
13x05 Advanced Thanatology - *Dean didn’t go to the strip club or steal anyone’s bra, he just drank a bunch and passed out on the floor drunk*
13x06 Tombstone - *Dean spread Cas's ashes in a garden with a windmill and a brook.*
13x12 Various and Sundry Villains - It’s Max and Alicia who are trying to steal the Grimoire for Rowena, and Max casts a love spell on Dean, but it also goes differently and they aren’t killing people and don’t die xoxo
14x10 Nihilism - Cas looking through Dean's happy memories, he sifted through a bunch of dean fucking
Michael!Dean flirts with cas
15x07 Last Call - Lorna doesn’t actually exist, she’s Chuck (so not ghostfacers effect, more Chuck effect)
15x18 Despair - Dean said “I love you too” when he was all distraught on the floor of the dungeon ignoring Sam’s calls :(
"Busty Asian Beauties" is gay porn (see: "steam baths" "boys night" on the covers)
*Sam and Dean don’t say “Jerk, Bitch” but “Jerk, Prick”
Sam is vegan.
Dean and Cas hang out and have date nights all the time, and they're constantly on the phone.
Sam and Cas both laugh at Dean's jokes sometimes.
Dean still has the handprint

Tumblr media
@queerstudiesnatural omg rain it is very kind of you to not be mad at my poll <3 lol
and tbh the thing is I Get why people ship it! I mean I literally started watching spn bc everyone talked about them so much (like a lot of people on tumblr in 2012 probably)
plus I love Dean (though I can understand why it could seem like I don't 😅) and I love Cas, and I love Dean&Cas! their relationship is so compelling!! but I also feel like bc I don't Ship them there is basically no content about them that I can really enjoy bc almost every post about them is through that lens.
plus, the tendency to ignore or hate Sam is just so boring to me and I don't get it. all their dynamics are interesting, and cutting either Sam or Dean out makes it less so for me. like, for example, as a Sam and Cas fan 9x11 / 10x01 / 14x01 are interesting because they're defined by Dean's absence—the same way endverse is defined by Sam's!
anyway wow I'm sorry this got so long oops! what I mean basically is just there's definitely no reason to be sorry about shipping them. I just get a little annoyed by the idea that everyone must ship them, and that for some reason it has to come at the expense of caring about Sam

Thoughts on 10x09:
I honestly don't know how I feel about the fall finale. It had moments when it was intense, and the twist at the end was clever. But I felt like the ending felt odd. There wasn't a happy ending or a conclusion to this multi-episode arc. But there wasn't a cliffhanger either, where the ending brought us to the edge of our seats. Instead, the episode ending felt random. No emotion. no anxiety, no curiosity.
Before I get into the nitty-gritty details of the episode, I just want to say TRACY SPIRIDAKOS IS AN OUTSTANDING ACTRESS. Really!! I think all the actors on PD are wonderful and purely talented. But Tracy can dominate any storyline/episode she is given. From the very beginning, she has produced quality content, and she continues to deliver every single episode. And as much as I despise watching sad Hailey season after season, watching Tracy take on a more vulnerable role is a gift.
Now back to the episode. Overall the storyline was good. It wasn't as intense as 9x09 since nobody's job/life was on the line, but it was clear to everyone that the clock was ticking. Time was running out, and they still got no leads. Hailey was losing hope towards the end, and to me, by the end, all she cared about was finding the girls. I felt like she realized that Sean is protected. No matter how hard she looks, as long as Sean had his father by his side, he was untouchable.
I find it interesting how the tables have flipped in this episode. 9x22 and 10x01 were Voight going rogue, and Hailey trying to reel him back in. This time it's flipped. Hailey was willing to cross those blurred lines just to catch Sean. Maybe it was the intensity of the moment. Maybe it was how personal this case was becoming. But she was okay with letting Sean die. She wanted to do whatever it takes to build a case against that monster, and if it weren't for Voight, things would have ended way different. And I think Voight made the decision to call it in because he knew that if they didn't, Hailey would later regret it. So in some way, he made that call for Hailey.
Is it weird that I'm appreciating Voight's presence so far this season? Probably. Is it weird that I enjoyed the Hailey and Voight interactions in this episode? Maybe. Does that mean I like his character and have forgotten everything he has done in the past 10 years? No. There hasn't been much that I have loved from this season so far, but I am liking how Voight is in the background. Like a lot of fans, I also thought that 10a would be focused on the Hailey/Sean arc, and then 10b would transition to Voight/Chief arc. But I guess we're wrong. This Sean storyline isn't over. And I already have so many theories roaming around in my head. 😊
As for Upstead. I am a little confused why after watching this episode, fans are quickly losing hope on our ship. From what I watched, there was not even an Upstead crumb or mention this episode. So my gut is still telling me that Upstead will be fine. I'll update y'all if that changes.
Overall, wasn't the best fall finale, but it wasn't the worst, either. It was decent.

Hi! Could you do a 'what if' Densi hadn't made up in 10x01 kind of fic please? and thanks :)
A/N: So, I might have approached this a little differently than you anticipated, as I am prone to.
***
It’s All Broken
“Ok, just a few more steps,” Kensi coached, hands bracing Deeks’ left elbow and back. Deeks’ teeth were too tightly clenched for him to make more than a grunt of acknowledgment. His muscles felt tense beneath her hands and she could tell how much the effort of walking from the driveway to the front door had cost him.
After a week’s stay in the hospital, he still experienced excruciating pain with most movement and sometimes even when lying flat and still. That, coupled with intermittent and unpredictable bouts of vertigo, nausea, and vision problems, proved extremely exhausting.
“Do you want to go upstairs?” Kensi asked softly, not wanting to add more stimulation than necessary.
“No, the couch is fine,” he muttered, lurching forward a few more steps and collapsing on the couch with a pained sigh, closing his eyes immediately. A fait sheen of sweat coated his forehead and cheeks.
Kensi ached to brush his damp hair away, soothe him in whatever way she could, but she clenched her fist against the urge.
They hadn’t talked since returning from Mexico. Not really. Sure, there’d been a couple chats when Deeks had woken during his first days, but he was only semi-lucid and Kensi wasn’t sure he remembered any of it. Every time she considered broaching the topic, she saw Deeks’ strained eyes and remembered what his team of doctors mentioned about limiting stress.
Kensi was still hurt by what Deeks said the night before they left for Mexico, but regretted her reaction . If only she hadn’t walked away. If only she had taken a breath and let Deeks explain before storming off and stubbornly getting on that plane. So much could have been different if she hadn’t been so damn stubborn and now…now she was afraid it had been too long and they were past the point of repair.
“Hey, I’m not going to fall apart if you sit down for two seconds,” Deeks said, voice softer and hoarser than normal. He peered up at her through the slits of his eyes, concern creeping through the exhaustion. “You’ve been watching me for days without a break.”
“I’m fine,” Kensi insisted. That wasn’t exactly true; pressure was consistently building behind her eyes. Although she’d faired the best, her body still took a beating and now was protesting the lack of general care. “I got some rest when Sam came to visit.” If you considered drifting off in the shower for two minutes rest. Deeks didn’t need to know that though.
“I don’t know want you to get sick.” The concern in his voice nearly undid her and Kensi looked down before he could read it in her eyes.
“Deeks, you just need to worry about you.” She needed to leave before she broke down completely. “It’s time for your next round of meds.” Making her escape, Kensi ran to the kitchen.
There were four orange canisters and one larger white bottle lined up on the counter which contained Deeks’ current medication regimen for the next few weeks. Kensi shook out the prescribed amount according to the pharmacy instructions.
As she turned to pour a glass of water, Kensi caught sight of a slip of paper pinned to the front of the refrigerator with a magnet. It was a note from Deeks to get milk next time they went to the store. Something about seeing his familiar handwriting shook something in her, and she sank to the floor, and sobbed.
***
Deeks didn’t know how he’d screwed things up so horrifically. Kensi could barely look at him and all because he couldn’t keep his mouth shut for once. Maybe if he’d waited for when they were less stressed, when he’d had two minutes to think, it might be different. Maybe he could have convinced Kensi to stay. If nothing else, his relationship wouldn’t be damaged beyond repair.
For a little bit, he’d thought they might be able to fix things after he woke up in that church in Mexico to Kensi cuddling him, bit that had just been a brief reprieve.
The memory of Kensi’s face when he told her they shouldn’t get married, hurt, and betrayed, flashed through his mind for the thousandth time. God, he’d been such an idiot.
He didn’t even know why Kensi was still here. He was beyond grateful, even though every time he looked at her, his heart fractured a little more.
A particularly brutal pain stabbed through his head, and he gasped, clutching at his temples. His ears rang and the light was suddenly piercingly bright, making him squeeze his eyes shut.
Gentle hands cupped the back of his head, smoothing down his his neck.
“Baby, here, take this,” Kensi whispered, pressing a couple pills into his palm and a glass of water as she rubbed circles into his back.
He squinted again, Kensi a hazy version of herself.
“Thanks,” he muttered, handing the glass back. His hand shook with the effort.
“You should lie down,” she said, brushing her fingers through his hair. A suggestive comment was on the tip of his tongue, but he stopped himself just in time.
“That feels nice,” he managed instead.
“Good.”
She smiled, her hair still caught in his hair, less than a few inches away. Her eyes drifted to his mouth and Kensi shifted even closer, and he was sure she was going to kiss him.
At the last second, she pulled away, eyes shuddering in the moments before she dipped her head. Tucking her hair behind her ear, Kensi abruptly moved her hand away. Deeks felt its loss as keenly as if she was miles away instead.
“Kensi—”
“Come on, you need to rest,” she told him. He watched her leave the room, knowing he’d lost everything.
***
A/N: I hope this is suitably angsty. I’m playing up the theme that Kensi and Deeks have once again fallen prey to poor communication.
Thanks for the prompt!

when is P.D. over for you from 9x22 or 10x03?
Oh, friend. I can't answer your question until we know how Jay leaves. Plus it's still possible 10x01 will be a keeper.
Who knows.
All I know is I'm sad and terrified of what they may do in 10x03. I may need a yes/no spoiler before watching that episode.

Hello! Your in-depth analysis of Grissom x Sara is awesome. I have been reading your essays and watching the episodes again. It has given me a new perspective on every CSI Episodes with GSR verbal or non-verbal interactions ( Been on the GSR Ship since Scuba Doobie-Doo S02E05) I have a question about the CSI Vegas S01E01 where Sara Sidle chased Bill Dwyer on the street. Sara took a tumble and almost got hit by a car. Do you think Sara Sidle would have told Gil Grissom about her almost accident chasing a convicted felon given their 6/7 years or marriage? It's weird that it was never mention in the show again but Sara admitted to Grissom that she met Anson Wix. Grissom's reaction was alarmed by what happened her meeting with Anson Wix. Hope you can give your insight about this matter. Thank you.
hi, @hiei29!
thank you for your kind words! i'm glad to know that you enjoy my analyses.
re: your question:
i think sara does most likely tell grissom about her close call with the car for three main reasons:
because, as you note, by this point in their marriage, grissom and sara seem to be in the habit of telling each other everything, as we see when grissom reveals his landsickness to sara in episode 01x03 "under the skin" and when sara tells grissom about her run-in with anson wix in episode 01x08 "pipe cleaner," as well as when grissom makes a direct comment to chris park in episode 01x07 "in the blood" stating that he doesn't even try to keep secrets from his wife anymore (and sara smiles knowingly).
because if sara didn't tell grissom how she came by her photo of bill dwyer's license plate, she would have had a very hard time explaining to grissom the chain of events that led to dwyer's arrest, the discovery of the storage locker, the incrimination of david hodges, etc. otherwise; her chasing dwyer down and id'ing his vehicle was a crucial step in the way the rest of the case unfolded leading up to grissom's own arrival in vegas. (to the same point: the information would almost certainly be in the case report.)
because she's probably still a little sore/bruised when grissom arrives in vegas, and, again, she'd have a hard time explaining wherefore she was so without mentioning that she did a barrel roll across fremont street.
as for when she might tell grissom about her run-in, we can't be sure.
the timeline and logistics for grissom's arrival in vegas honestly doesn't make any sense per real-world logic—how does grissom supposedly make it from san diego to panama to peru to vegas in just a few days' time? and especially when the first two legs of the journey take place by boat? the flight from lima to vegas alone should have taken him at least twelve hours, and yet he seems to arrive in vegas fairly instantaneously once hodges is accused—so trying to pin down exactly when he hops on the plane to vegas relative to the phone call we see between him and sara in episode 01x01 "legacy" is an exercise in futility.
while sara may tell him about what happened over the phone sometime while he's still in south america, it's just as possible that he doesn't get the rundown until after he arrives in sin city.
as for how he reacts to this news, since he's only getting it ex post facto and sara obviously survived (albeit a bit worse for the wear, given the road rash), i'm sure that while he's retroactively afraid for her and probably a little bit alarmed that she would do something so dangerous—seriously, why is it that ever since they've been married, whenever sara comes back to vegas for a visit, she almost immediately ends up in a life-or-death situation of some kind (see episode 10x01 "family affair")?!—he's mostly just glad that she's okay and somewhat grateful that at least she did come up with a new lead in the case for her troubles.
he knows who he's married to; wouldn't be his wife if she weren't being stupidly brave about something.
he might scold her a bit for her recklessness—especially because she wasn't armed at the time of the chase—but he also probably shows her some sympathy/tlc for her sore arm.
anyway.
those are my two cents.
thanks for the question! please feel welcome to send another any time!
