okay so my opinion here might be a bit controversial but i'm so cray cray i'm so brave i'm such a warrior in this fandom i'm just gonna say it:

i don't really like the zosan...

(btw i don't wanna spread hate but i'm too lazy to censor the ship name and tbh idk if it also shows up in the fyp if it's said in the ask??? i talk a bit negatively about it, so don't read it if you ship them in case it might bother you <3)

i love their dynamic and i've been saying they need to fuck since, like, the moment they started fighting on screen. the sexual tension is immaculate, please, just fuck already god- half of their problems would be solved asap if zoro pinned sanji against a wall already and fucked him so hard he spoke french.

i like the fact that although they're always arguing, they understand and trust each other when it comes to serious stuff. like yeah, we fight but we are not letting this affect the crew as a whole. they're just two very proud bastards who hate admitting they don't actually dislike each other that much. their whole dynamic is great in canon!!!! love to see them. i enjoy them a lot. they need to fuck already (saying this tho does not mean i ship them to an extreme extent. i just know gays when i see them).

however!!! i think my dislike towards the ship comes mainly from the fandom. because personally i enjoy them in canon and i like the content some people make of them (god knows i reblog zosan more than it looks like), but... the 90% of the content and shippers just make them so out of character they stress me tf out. i see a zosan shipper and i never know if they're the good kind or not and i start shaking with fear. and i'm a person that believes in "ship whatever tf you want bc everyone has different tastes and i'm not that crazy to fight over fictional characters and what other people like", but, y'know, bad experiences from my past idk.

they're not even in my top 10 op ships, but they exist. they're there. they're fun. they're cool, i guess. i feel very indifferent about them and if i see a cute/hot zosan thing i'll reblog it. but i don't seek content of them, y'know (unless i'm in a very sanji nsfw mood and the horniness takes over my original preferences. sometimes i just want sanji to be topped, i apologize).

but yeah, i'm very "meh" about them and the thing that makes me not really like them is the fandom, mostly. because there are some zosan shippers out there that just....................... they remind me of kiribaku shippers saying their ship is queerbait when it's very obviously NOT queerbait and claiming them to be canon when they're obviously not canon and etcetcetc. that, and the fact that a lot of people write/draw them extremely out of character. personally, for me soft zosan (i love soft zosan bc i'm a softie) could only work after a long-ass development and they'd still act like the idiots they are. that being said, nsfw zosan works every time in every universe bc, again, the sexual tension is tangible, man. and somehow people manage to do it out of character????? lmao.

people are SO obsessed with this ship bc it's easy to sexualize and easy to write because "haha boys fucking haha fighting haha" which is uhhhhhh not my thing, really. like i do love nsfw zosan but it also has to be written extremely in character and- idk i think that it's just on me.

basically, i'm indifferent about them and when i see people so so so hyped i just don't really get it. and then there's people that actively believe that they're queerbaiting and that instantly makes me angry, which translates into not liking the ship for a while. and when i go back to being indifferent and liking some stuff of them, i just don't really care much? and then i see someone writing them ooc and i dislike them again and- that over and over and over again.

and okay this whole thing seems stupid but i've had past experiences in fandoms and tbh saying that you don't like THE popular ship is like yelling at the shippers to attack you.

but, yeah, to summarize: i'm indifferent about them. i like them in very specific situations and content. most of the shippers and ooc content make me mad (which is like, most of them). but!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the thing is: when zosan is done well, zosan is great. but when it's done out of character??? i can't fucking stand it.

i'm kind of contradicting what i said about not liking them because i do like them?? i just don't like them THAT much or to that extent and it has to be a very specific flavor?? and the shippers and content make me so mad sometimes i just stop reading fics or looking for content idk. i guess what i'm trying to say is that:

-> canon zosan cool

-> fanon zosan makes me dislike them

5. Do you respond to comments?

I always try my best to reply as soon as possible wether its an ask, reblog or comment. (Excluding wattpad, as i see that more like people annotating their reading and generally don't want to bother them. But i do always read them and appreciate them, and if something stands out or if someone comments a lot i will respond)

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Ooh i once killed reader off dramatically lol ("Car Crash" blurb) but I think the general reader's concensus would be Caught Me Slippin' , which I didn't even intend to make that angsty, but people cried (allegedly). And honestly, while i apologise for the emotional damage, i do take it as the highest compliment to be able to evoke such feelings.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Most of my stories are quite happy and i'm not sure how to rate "happiness".

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I am actually surprised how scarce the hate is, and usually in the form of anons, because I always expect people to hate me. But thats on insecurities. Honestly, writing on here has always been amazing.

9. Do you write smut?

Yes. I hate it tho 😫 like, love smut in theory and concept but it's a bitch to write.

10. Do you write crossovers?

I love a lengthy and extended au, often inspired by other works (Not Wholly Evil is basically Stranger Things x Pirates of the Caribbean) but i think the only clear "crossover" i (remember to) have written would be Murder on the Dancefloor ??? which would be a tom holland x Strictly Come Dancing crossover lmao. I do often think about tv show crossovers in concept tho, but doubt i'll write any.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Yup. Shit sucks.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes, but it was done without my permission and uncredited (which is still stealing!!) so that sucks.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I've dabbled in co-writing, haha, several times avtually, but for one reason or another, none of the projects were ever published. Would love to one day actually fully co-write something with someone on here.

14. What's your all time favorite ship?

Ngl, i'm not sure I have one. Probably why all of my stories are 'x reader'.

15. What's a WIP that you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

At this point I think this about every single one of my WIPs and that's writer's block for ya.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Hmm...i'd like to think the expression of emotion, showing how characters feel. And maybe world building- or thats at least my favorite thing in AUs. Maybe also details (either motives, references or foreshadowing)

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I'm horrible at pacing. Always feel like i go too slow with the plot and then suddenly too fast and its all a mess, especially when it comes to series. Also just general knowledge on things; i feel like i don't know enough things to write about when it comez to daily and regular life, or even how to normally interact with people so that makes things hard when trying to be realistic. I also feel like i don't know enough words??? So things get really repetitive.

Oh, and this is also an aspect of writing- i'm horrible at getting feedback in the form of proofreading. It makes me physically sick having someone go through my work like that, and I barely do it myself. Which may result in some horrible typos/mistakes. And i do apologise profusely for that. Believe me, if you caught a mistake in my fic, i still think about it to this day.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in different languages?

Its always better if the writer is familiar with the language. Things you're comfortable with writing translate over better to the reader. It's like in movies/tv, its always better when you have an actor speaking a language they actually know. And if you don't know it, 1) ask yourself why are you writing it then and then 2) better research the hell out of it.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

My first fic, that has since been deleted for a long time, was on wattpad and it was for a youtuber lmao. (peak 2013/15 era, thats all i'm gonna say)

I knoww, it's really hard, I'm pretty indecisive as well. I've seen AND loved all of those series, other than Alice in Borderland, I actually haven't heard about it before. And all honestly those are all so different so how are you supposed to choosee. I don't think I can choose one at all, tho I will say that I enjoyed Atypical a lot as well, I feel like it has a very similar air as Sex Education, tho a very different plot. Amd a recent favourite of mina has been Cunk on Earth. I found it really funny. I don't know if you know it but it's a comedical documentary in a way. This character: Filomena Cunk goes around museums and good schools and asks experts questions on history. And the experts don't really know what she's gonna ask and some react very smartly and insightfully while some are just completelly stunned. She asks questions like (were humans from the same flesh as we are or were they made from pork or beef?). I like the humor in it a lot. And there's one point in which she asks one expert if the Romans invented anal bleaching. His reaction is priceless🤭.

I saw @lord-of-dice-and-kinks is taking a break from tumblr. Hope he's okay:) and social media can honestly be so draining.

Hm I guess the thing about fetlife that I don't like is that since you have to register to see how it is I don't really get to see if it's something I will like if that makes any sense. And I also don't like that you put in your city, I know it can still be anonymous but I don't know. As much as I know it's completelly okay I'm kinky and that if someone is on fetlife as well it's nothing that will shake the world, but I feel like in order for me to comfortably explor this side of me I just really like anonymity.

Hm🤭okay so maybeee I have a thing for Tom Riddle fanfictions. Well I haven't read one in a while but it was my thing. One of my favourite fanfictions in Unsphere the Stars. It's not necesarilly kinky but I enjoy Tom being a dark character and it's really well writen.

No spoilers, but there's definitely spicy scenes🤭I'm sure he's enjoying your research hihi.

don't worry haha i get it <3 i, too, have my fair share of old venti fics that i am hesitant and unsure about! i am definitely a better venti writer now than i was in the past. i think it takes practice because, truth be told, venti is enigmatic and is not an easy character to write.

it's unfortunately very common for me to see people treating venti that way, and it bothers me a lot for very personal, trauma dump-y kind of reasons, so that's all i'll say about it.

but my point is that alcoholism isn't funny. venti is an alcoholic. he is not well. he's fucked up because of all the shit he's been through and all the things he's had to do in celestia's name (taking part in the destruction of khaenri'ah). like? it's not fucking funny so why are we acting like it is?

It is definitely my oldest and dearest OTP.

They just have?? So much in common??? Both have parental issues stemming from having a psychotic parent, both were ABANDONED by said psycho parent, both have roots in eastern europe, both have ties to the mystic arts, and both have mutations that are feared and extreme even by freaking mutant standards.

They just have a lot of chemistry together idk. They have personalities that balance each other out pretty well, Kurt's outgoing and playful nature balancing against Wanda's more introverted and aloof personality. They're very aesthetic together too, not to mention that they canonically make beautiful babies together lol. I'm still mad that WATXM ended before TJ made an appearance because everyone knows they were building up to it.

Geez, I remember when I used to lurk on Nightscrawlers back in the day looking for Kanda and Kurtty stuff to read (RIP basically a dead forum nowadays). Even tho they don't talk much, I also shipped them pretty hard in Evo too. They had similar feel to the whole Kitty/Lance thing, except Kurt and Wanda would have actually made it interesting because of all the above listed reasons on top of being on opposite sides AND because Evo Wanda was pretty loyal to Mystique, whom Kurt had a lot of complicated feelings about. There could have been a lot of subject matter and drama that could have been milked there.

I'll admit that I haven't picked up the comics in like... uh... a few years haha, so I'm admittedly a little out of touch with what Kurt's been up to lately but I still have a whole drawer full comics that feature Kurt. The Nightcrawler backissue collection from 2004 are still some of my most prized possessions. I really wish they hadn't dropped the idea of Kurt being a sort of supernatural detective (almost like a John Constantine-type character) because that was a really, really cool idea.

It's been a hot minute since I've really been in the Xmen/Kurt fandom for a while, but man, when it gets brought up I go off like:

It's a bit wild seeing you get into Dark. I watched it a few years ago and at this point couldn't give more than the most general high-level description of it, but the gifsets you're reblogging are shaking loose my memories of it. It's been a fun reminder of the show!

Have you finished it yet, btw? I'll be curious to hear your thoughts on the ending. And if you're looking for a show to fill the void once you've watched all of Dark, I highly recommend the SyFy series version of 12 Monkeys (tho I think it's on Hulu now). It's got a few thematic similarities and really tight storytelling, I love it for a lot of the same reasons I enjoyed Dark. The movie Coherence might be another one to look up once you finish Dark. :D

Haha I'm glad you've enjoyed re-living it vicariously through my new obsession! I got into it because I watched 1899, loved it, was devastated by the cancellation, and was thinking about checking out Dark for a Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese actually concluded arc to hopefully soothe my soul. And then my housemate (who is German) told me she prefers Dark and I would love it and should watch it, and suddenly everyone was telling me that so here I am.

I started it before I had to isolate, but finished it whilst having Covid, so I think that's affected how much this has become a Fully Consumed By Blorbo Thoughts thing. I kind of know that once I no longer have to quarantine, it's going to move into a more balanced 'this show is spectacularly made and I love it and will always want to talk about it and reblog the content', but I probably won't be Consumed in the way I am now (if not least because I'll have a lot of other stuff to do!) so I'm frantically trying to write this fic whilst The Urge Is Upon Me haha.

I remember watching the film of 12 Monkeys yeeeeaaars ago, should definitely check out the TV show! And I'd not heard of Coherence, thanks!

To answer your questions, I loved so much about it! Episode 6 and 11 live in my heart forever (I even rewatched them). There's so many good things about this show. Dream has taken over my heart, the second we saw him captured, his body almost unhuman in that trap (Sturridge did an amazing job in training, and in acting. Ngl I'm very much in love). And the shot of him in the cage, sitting like the Fallen Angel painting by Cabanel, I was done for. All the characters are incredible. I love so many of them, for so many reasons, but Dream, Death, Hob, Matthew! They won my heart. Calliope was my favorite story, I loved seeing that side of Morpheus, and Calliope is. She's amazing. I love her so much and I don't want anything bad to ever happen to her ever again (also thank you thank you thank youuuu to the writers for not explicitly showing us what Madoc did to her. Showing him disheveled with a scratch on his cheek was enough for us to understand what happened). Also episode 5, even if it was uncomfortable and gory and disgusting and eww, was INCREDIBLE TO WATCH. The construction of the episode was so good, every single detail was thought through, and the story leading to it was very satisfying. But contrary to episode 6 and 11, I'll probably have a harder time rewatching it haha. Also, the whole season is so fucking pretty, I was often dumbstruck. Also how dare they break my heart over Gregory. I've known him for 5 minutes but I loved him so much 😭

Idk anything about The Sandman except for what's in the show, so I don't have any expectations or ideas about what's to come, it'll probably be Lucifer-related tho, given the ending? Also I'd looooove to see Hob again, that man is everything. And Johanna, because, Jenna Coleman. And Death. And Calliope? Oh, I wanna know more about Orpheus, also!

I made it a while ago cuz it's hard finding Tomodachi Game artwork or fan content (or at least for me lmao) so I decided to make one myself

I feel like Yuuichi would frustrate Light a lot, and that would be seriously an interesting interaction to see! For Yuuichi and him I feel like it would be like 2 cats fighting each other for their pride and fun, rather than L playing a cat to chase the mouse, Light (ik it's more complicated but that's it simplified). And also, I haven't finished the manga yet so I might be wrong, but Yuuichi has the ability to make general "friends" or alliances. Hence him taking all of the punishment for Kokorogi, and forming a bond with Tenji. It's not really friendship, but it's more than Light using and treating people like Takeda as his subjects

Again, haven't read the manga completely so I'm probably wrong. Just Yuuichi doesn't have a god complex while Light does. I think that played a huge part in Kira's demise. But idk who would actually win because of course they both have their flaws

But yeah totally!! They would be like two cats fighting for the best spot in the livingroom with the first rays of sun.

While Light is a great manipulator, Yuuichi is great at reading people...to manipulate them, so any attempt on lights side i feel would go like

Light: i'm going to use him against my enemies without him knowing

Yuuichi: lmao this guy wants to use me against his enemies. I'll play his game and see if he's of any use to me.

I just want to see how yuuichi gets on lights nerves with all the faces he has in his arsenal (insert cat meme). And you're so right, while Light uses people and never gets any further than that, yuuichi worries about his friends (his thoughts at the end of the second game is all i need), but he doesnt trust them anymore poor thing

On the other hand light could just go: damn it! He's using me. He thought i wouldn't notice? Haha loser now try to guess your heart condition in the next 40 seconds.

And so far (in the manga) yuuichi hasn't shown any sing of having a god complex, and its unlikely, hes very grounded in how he sees himself jsjdjd he really says yes im poor yes im a monster but those things are unrelated...kind of.

Ok I read your post. Literally sat down with my cup of morning coffee first thing in the morning and read it start to finish. I was busy traveling which is why I'm just getting back to you now though, by ask because my followers probably aren't expecting a reblogged discussion of top/bottom dynamics on my otherwise sfw blog.

So let me know if I'm getting this right:

Like, Bakugo wanting to give something to Izuku he would never give anyone else (the vulnerability, I mean!!! not, y'know, access to his... god, just forget it). And their relationship has shifted so fundamentally since when they were kids, multiple times, and opening up (figuratively!!) in such a way to Izuku is just another way for him to shift from whatever toxic shit they had going on earlier to the mutual love and understanding and willingness to be vulnerable with each other they have now. I don't even know if that makes sense. The point is, I totally hc them as vers now.

Also Izuku taking charge. It really is such a huge part of his character, becoming stronger and a leader and more confident and it's so easy to set that aside and focus on his cute, bubbly side but my man's got both! Honestly it's why I tend to avoid fics in general, and fandom too (tho I'm weak and couldn't stay away from mha/bkdk tumblr). I'm always afraid that the versions of characters in my head will be fanonized. I hope I didn't do that to Izuku and Kacchan, ykwim? :| (If you ever wanna like, idk, 👉👈 check out one of my fics and tell me if you think I got them right, that would be cool but no worries if not.)

Also I get what you mean about the feminized Izuku, no shade to anyone who likes that (I mean, he did wear a maid costume in MHA Smash and he does look cute with puppy dog eyes and bunny ears) but omega/bunny/thicc/size-difference Izuku isn't really my thing because... Well, I prefer canonverse too and I've rewatched dvk2 like four times and for me it really hammers home that their power dynamic has evened out so any dom/sub-type dynamic doesn't feel like it fits.

Like, I'm happy about all the friends I'm making, and I have a very visceral need to have many many bkdkbks to scream about our boys with, but at the same time, there are a lot of ways in which I was happier in past fandoms where I wasn't involved in the fandom beyond reading and writing fanfic. Yes! I haven't really read Dickens but yeah I think the names Havisham and Compeyson are from Great Expectations and there's Ebenezer Scrooge from A Christmas Carol and lots more I didn't recognise--I think it might really add to the whole viewing experience if you know a little more about the characters they're all based on but I also think the series takes a lot of liberties with the way they're adapting them which isn't that surprising considering they're putting like a dozen different characters into one story. 

I love that you have an English literature major! Like that just sounds so cool to me <3 I'm currently getting a master's degree in education and I'm always sad that literature (especially non german literature) is only such a small part of it. Although, that makes sense bc I'm studying to become a primary school teacher (I'll probably end up doing sth else tho) so ofc I can't just focus on literature 🙄😂 About the subtitles, I'm also just so used to having them on even if I don't need them most of the time so yeah it's a bit frustrating to not have them.

I'd recommend cooling your arm, but uhm someone once told me that's not good, so I'm not really sure about it. Maybe putting something soft beneath your arm while writing can help when you're leaning on it?
