I've been so busy with personal projects I haven't checked tumblr in a while 😭

Anyways. Got a question, beside rock trolls, do you like to see Branch being with other genre's? I mean ik it's probably gonna be a yes so I wanna ask abt who you think will adopt Branch lol.

I like to see Branch in Country because I wanna see him as a cowboy and a sheriff. I think he'd do a decent job cause his always out on protecting Pop Village so it'd make sense I think.

Also because I think he looks cool being a cowboy.

It's funny you sent this because the other day a friend of mine showed me some art of Branch who was adopted by Delta Dawn and it was sooooooo CUTE (crunchy_coookies_ on IG).

I think any adopted by other tribes has cool potential, but Rock and Country to me feel like ones that Branch would most line up with personality-wise.

Branch I think aligns with a lot of country ideals. He's hardworking, skilled, self-reliant and doesn't ever take shortcuts. He can also appreciate a sad tune.

Funk would be interesting because I think Essence and Quincy are great parents, and Branch is something of an inventor himself, so I think he'd have fun there.

Techno you could do some interesting comparisons to Pop trolls! On the surface they like loud parties, are super colorful and overly friendly, but you could examine how they differ in those aspects! Very interesting for Poppy to wonder why Branch would regain his colors when TECHNO tried to help as opposed to them.

Classical I think Branch would fit in the least, but that might make for some interesting interactions! I think he'd love the lack of hug time there. And lack of hugs in general.

Overall I think any adoption fic/au has the possibility to be super cool once you start getting into the worldbuilding!

At first I thought it might be Kuya's house, but from what I remember, it doesn't really look like that. It can't be Quincy's because his is larger than that, and it can't be Blade's because his building is more janky-looking...

3) I spy, with my little eye, TWO cups!!! 😈

This appears to be one of those window sill seats that people turn into couches. It's very cute to picture Edmond and Eiden chillin together in this comfy little area, eating cookies and sipping of hot cocoa! (At least, assume it's cocoa, because Edmond.)

Man, romancing a character in warframe feels impossible. Not because i have zero interest, but because i cannot decide between who to pick.

Do i romance Aoi? She's extremely pretty and reminds me a lot of an old friend i once had a huge crush on, and i feel like she would just get me man.

But then there's also Quincy (Man, with Quincy and Ordan karris as crushes, i'm starting to maybe see a pattern 😭) he's not just handsome as fuck, but i don't doubt that man is a ride or die type of guy. You're either in or you're out, and buddy, i am in.

Ough, but then there's also Amir, i see a lot of myself in him with his traits being very neurodivergent, I feel like this dude would get me and probably go out his way to make sure that not just his accommodations were met, but also mine, and that warms my heart. He is also very handsome too, and i would very much like to rock the same kind of style of clothes as him.

I'm not really that bothered about Arthur, Lettie, or Eleanor. Those three feel like just good friends to me.

Artists of the Month (February 2024 💖)

1. Escape The Fate

What can I say? I love Escape The Fate and have always loved them, but this month I listened to them a bit more, for no reason in particular other than to just vibe lol ♥️♥️

I replayed a lot of their songs throughout the month, mostly "Fire It Up", "Ungrateful", "Invincible" and "My Apocalypse". Amazing band 🥹😭💖💖

2. glass beach

After listening to their first album last month, a few of their songs have been in rotation on my playlist 😅♥️

"yoshi's island" and "bedroom community" are their two songs I listened to the most, and that will probably be the case for a while ♥️

Yes, BTS is top five again 😁💖

I listened to Love Yourself: Her, The Most Beautiful Moment In Life parts 1 and 2, kept listening to songs on their album Wings (especially "First Love" 😭💖), and watched some more music videos with @casetotu 😅😁♥️♥️

Oh boy I could make a whole post about him lol. 😬😅

But to keep it short... Yes I like some of Eminem's newer (2010s-2020s) songs, yes I think he's an amazing rapper, yes he's on my favorites list, and yes he was number four this month. Most played songs were probably "Gnat" and "Stronger Than I Was". Next lol. 😂😐

5. Nas

Both Nas and Eminem, in my opinion, are only getting better with time. 😅

I mean... "Can't Forget About You", "Rare" and "Michael & Quincy" were some of my most played this month, but just about anything from those albums is a banger to me so yeah 😭💖💕

i wrote my first crossover fic! they're not usually my thing so it seemed kinda wild to do but i was really surprised how naturally the characters worked together. plus i was really happy to see a few other people excited about it 👍

What’s something you learned about yourself as a writer?

i learned a lot about myself and my identity through writing characters i love! especially exploring relationship anarchy and other non-traditional relationships, it gave me the language to describe how i feel about my friends and people who are important to me overall 💞

also that i'm way more likely to get a fic done if i can crank out a draft/outline in one sitting 😭🙏

What piece of media inspired you the most?

nu: carnival! i’m thriving with relationship anarchy being built into the canon 😩👌

What fandom(s) did you write for this year?

sk8, nu:c, and one deltarune fic! also posted some one piece but it was stuff i wrote the previous year

What ship(s) captured your heart?

the sk8 cast polycule, primarily four wheels (adam/langa/reki/tadashi), kept me Running for a good chunk of the year. i love all the different dynamics and history between the characters and it's really fun to explore how they can work in all different ways.

also some combinations of quincy/kuya/blade of nu: carnival, there's a lot of fun (potential) history going on there and i have Many more ideas i'd like to execute in 2023

”Tadashi likes you,” Ainosuke continued. “He may not always show it, but he’s fond of you. He likes spending time with you. i don’t have specific examples but certain characters (particularly ainosuke) love taking the wheel and changing the entire course of the fic so that’s always an adventure

i think i’d like to finish my big four wheels fic! it’s a silly one based on a cheesy romcom and i have it all outlined i’m just. always tired and swamped with events and deadlines. but i’m hoping to sign up for less and focus more on my own stuff, less on current trends or w/e and just write things i want to write at my own pace.

1. What got you interested the game? What kept you playing?

my friends were into it early on and finally dragged me in a couple months after release. i'm so reluctant to get into new media but i'm pretty sure i was in the midst of a Mental Health Moment(tm) and desperately needed a distraction so i picked it up on impulse one day.

i was most interested in olivine initially bc religious trauma vibes, but all the other characters CAPTURED me (also the horny obviously)

2. Who was your first SSR?

garu! and then i rerolled my account for zest for life and got buckeye miracle quincy

3. Who's on your home screen? Do you tend to stick to the same character/card or switch it up? Do you have Eiden onscreen with them?

currently rei's SR, but i usually tend to rotate between variations of quincy & whatever my current favorite event boy is

i don't usually have eiden on bc i like to zoom in and they don't both FIT but i like hearing his little exchanges with everyone

sometimes they're frustrating but i have fun with them! the rewards are nice and if i can't figure something out i know zerophos on youtube has my back 🙏

19. What's your favorite thing about the game overall?

i like that the relationship anarchy is simply canon. my romance repulsed ass wouldn't wanna deal with like, serious jealousy drama or "what are we" convos, it's not my thing. eiden calling his clan members "my buddies i hang out with" is the best thing in the entire game to me personally

20. Got any wishes for the future of the game? (Story, events, new characters, etc?)

rei sort of answered my prayers for some sort of medical man but i would LOVE a character who's like. an actual doctor. like a HEALER but not in the magic way. also if we ever get some sort of medical/hospital themed event i'll Die

I’m team “Ichigo can do whatever he wants; he’s done enough for these people” but this is pretty brazen even with that allowance. XDDD Because Ichigo’s really just gonna sit on top of Hitsugaya’s desk, be like “yo, I’m using your place!” and all the while aggressively not using his title?

Which Ichigo’s already done once this arc, to which Hitsugaya’s response was the TV-14 equivalent of muttering an off-guard “what the fuck?” under his breath. But now he’s pretty sure it’s not some misunderstanding and Ichigo is really Being Like That, because now this child is IN HIS HOUSE, ON HIS DESK, asking for his hospitality.

On the other hand, he’s Ichigo, and he’s done enough for these people already, and what is Hitsugaya gonna do otherwise? Throw these children out on the street in the middle of an active shooter situation?

I love this whole scene, though. The filler arcs are so good for giving us all these random interstices that offer a version of how the Gotei functions.

Like, every single throwaway scene is pure gold???? At least for someone like me, whose two interests in life are Hitsugaya and Gotei protocol.

Examples:

- Crime Scene Cleanup: Hitsugaya returns to the 10th after the world’s most boring fight with Bear Bount (though it occurs to me that this is the first time we see Hitsugaya’s bankai in the anime, outside of the 2 seconds he’s engaged with Aizen, so I suppose there’s that), and has a talk with his officers about the practical aftermaths of said fight: There is a shitton of ice encasing the southern districts of the Seireitei, and now they have to... wait for it to melt. So they can send a team. To retrieve and bury the body.

- Quincy Erasure: Despite Ishida having run around Soul Society for like a week very recently, the only people Hitsugaya’s officer announces are Matsumoto, Renji, and “the Substitute Shinigami,” so Chad and Ishida don’t rank. Ishida is merely “the injured,” despite being decked out in full Quincy uniform. Either that’s insignificant or the officer doesn’t know what a Quincy is, but either way the colonial erasure goes HARD.

- Best Laid Plans: In this arc, the 10th is a great example of an event or program being absolute chaos and complete dysfunction, even as the people behind the scenes are working very hard. Like, the Gotei response to the Bount Invasion is an absolute clusterfuck, but Hitsugaya has really has been working this entire time (even though Yamamoto technically already fired him from this project? maybe?) and honestly is not doing any of this badly. Matsumoto gave good and timely intel (and we know, because Mayuri read her report), Hitsugaya does somehow actually know what everyone else has been doing and, big picture, what is going on. There is a level of communication happening here that is frankly an about face from a few weeks ago, because I do not think the entire 10th Division paid any attention whatsoever to the Ryoka thing.

- Matsumoto consistently pulls people back on track in this arc (when she joins up with Chad and Bunny Bag to fight the Old Man and the Sea Bount, Chad and Bunny Bag are yelling about what kind of fish his doll resembles and Matsumoto is just like, “It doesn’t matter what kind of fish it is!!!!”) and is also the one who points out that no one’s eaten or slept in over 24 hours and that’s just not sustainable. Where this line of thinking ultimately goes is uhhh the subject of another post, but all in all they’re being very level-headed about all this. 

- And the triage process!!!! Because like, Ishida’s just been lying on Hitsugaya’s office floor for who knows how long. The first thing Hitsugaya asks him is, “Are you in pain?” because that’s something that matters. Possibly more than critical life-threatening injury? I mean, based on the tenor of the room it’s safe probably safe to assume that Ishida isn’t about to drop dead. But the fact remains that Hitsugaya bothers asking about Ishida’s pain level at all.

Only after that does he come and assess Ishida more closely. After all, Ishida did just say that he was cool with the pain because the Bount invasion was his fault and he should suffer for it (ISHIDA NO), so who knows what kind of gnarly soul injury someone in that headspace could be hiding. 

But all is well

and since Ishida doesn’t want pain relief, and Renji informs him that the 4th is overburdened by the number of injured across the Seireitei, but that he’s been in touch and a medic will come eventually, might as well just leave Ishida be. No sense in rushing something that will be handled in due time. 

And at least this way, Ishida can’t rush off on an Oedipally-charged one-man offensive (which is, of course, exactly what he does about 9 hours from now. I’m so sorry, Ishida. This whole arc did you so dirty).

Like Quincy, he's protecting the village because of some sort of promise with a now-deceased member of that community. (Yes, I know that in Quincy's case his friend later told him to forget about that promise, but my point still stands.)

Of course, unlike Quincy, Umi was never a part of the community himself, and he doesn't have much affection/ investment in the current community. (I don't think him saving the child in an earlier chapter goes against that idea. After all, it's a basic moral principle to protect kids.)

And look, I get it. Whoever he made a promise to was extremely precious; even more so in the context of a yokai's long life.

HOWEVER, THESE BITCH-ASS VILLAGERS DO NOT HAVE ANY REAL RESPECT FOR MERFOLK---OR FOR NATURE IN GENERAL.

Can anyone like tell me how permanent banner in NuC work? Because the characters on the banner are garu and quincy but when i see the probability of the SSRs they're all the same so it's not a rate up system type thingy??

So i thought it doesn't have a rate up (even though i got both of their SSRs lol) and try to pull for other characters but i get quincy again after 3 pulls or so. So it seems there's a rate up system going on. ➜ At first, Victoria did nothing more than a couple hums, nods, “yes/nos” to anything Keres said to her. Frankly, given her stature, it wouldn't be surprising if Keres found her…. Err…. Intimidating, to say the least.

➜ But, Victoria is a woman who seeks benefits through information. And so, over time, she began doing as much research on Keres as possible.

↳ If I'm being honest, this woman is fucking terrifying with how thorough she is in gathering info on people 😭

➜ Through this development, she'd discover that Keres was, in fact, childhood friends with Vil. Safe to say, Victoria was Not Pleased. And no one did Not Pleased like Victoria Shard. (She kinda just disregarded that information, as she didn't deem it important enough to benefit from it.)

➜ For the first few interactions they had together, Victoria would only speak to Keres if it meant possibly getting more information about them. Over time, however…. She learned to care for them.

➜ She'd notice how tired Keres would usually be, especially when it came down to following Crowley's errands, doing paperwork, taking over for him from time to time, etc.

➜ Thus, leading to the present day. Victoria , though not openly admitting it, shows concern for Keres — and, by most accounts, treating them with the respect they lacked from Crowley.

Artists Of The Month (August 2024) ⭐

1. Metallica

So, continuing what I was doing last month, I kept listening to discographies of some of my favorite artists. Metallica was one of them, and well they have lots of albums so here they are. 😅♥️

And their discography... Metallica in the 80s? Yes. Yes always. Amazing run of 4 thrash metal classics. I think we can all agree those 4 albums are some of the best metal albums ever.

90s and early 2000s...? Uhhhhhhh... Well the self titled was great. 🙂😭

Anyways yeah, Metallica was artist of the month by quite a bit lol. As for songs, didn't replay much songs in particular, maybe "Creeping Death" and "Seek & Destroy" a bit. ♥️

2. The Used

As for The Used, amazing discography mostly 💖

Their debut has to be my favorite album by them, but not by much at all, since just about every one of their albums are consistently great (maybe "The Canyon" wasn't as good to me as the other ones, but they never really missed ♥️)

As for songs, there were a few I replayed a bit, mostly "Watered Down" and "The Lottery" (The Used and Caleb Shomo ahhhhhhh 😭💖💖)

3. The Pretty Reckless

The Pretty Reckless being here was a combination of both hearing their discography and playing a few songs on loop lol. 😅💕

Well first of all, all of their albums so far have been great (hard to ever miss when you have vocals by Taylor Momsen tbh 😭💖). Death By Rock And Roll was my favorite, but not by much. 😅♥️

As for the songs I looped, "Heaven Knows" was probably the song I played the most this month in general lol ♥️

Other songs I played a lot were probably "Make Me Wanna Die" and "Miss Nothing" 💖

4. Nas

Nas' discography is... Bumpy as hell lol. Bumpier than Metallica's, they had a solid decade at least. My experience hearing Nas' discography was like a coin toss every time, never knew if I'd love it or not. An amazing album could follow a 1/10 lol 😂😭

I'm undecided on which is my favorite album though. Illmatic, God's Son and Hip Hop Is Dead, as well as the King's Disease trilogy (mostly KDIII), are all in contention 😭♥️

As for songs, there were a few I played a lot, maybe "Michael & Quincy", "All Bad" and "Get Down" were the three I replayed the most 💕

5. Architects / You Me At Six (they tied 😗)

Oh damn look another draw 😭

With Architects, I finished listening to their discography again as you might have expected ig (amazing music 😭♥️), and yeah replayed a few songs a bit, like "Doomsday", "Gone With The Wind" and "Naysayer" ♥️

As for You Me At Six, I didn't actually listen to any of their albums this month, they are 100% here based on individual songs I played a lot, mostly "If You Run", "Deep Cuts" and "Save It For The Bedroom" 😁💖💕
