he'd had indian food before and loved it, so it did not take any convincing for him to decide to make you some indian street food. he'd do it out of his own volition pretty often, actually. by now, he had mastered the art of various dishes, specially panipuri, which he would frequently make for you, and sometimes he'd even share some with his members.

if he sensed you growing homesick and missing your usual chinese cuisine, he'd go out of his way to seek out jun or minghao to ask what food may make you feel a bit better. he'd then take on the task of making you the most delicious street breakfast, jianbing, knowing it wasnt too difficult a task for him and that it was a meal you'd often have in your youth.

wonwoo was quite known for his lack of ability in the kitchen, but that would not stop him from making you some laksa whenever you were feeling particularly homesick. despite not knowing how to make any other singaporean dishes, he'd have specifically mastered at least one in order to take care of you in such a domestic way whenever the opportunity arose.

never having been one to cook much (he'd much rather stick to washing dishes), he'd struggle a lot through making you some pastéis de nata for your anniversary, deciding to make a korean-portuguese fusion of meals to celebrate your relationship. ok, maybe he called mingyu over to help, but the joy in your eyes as you shared the meal with him had made it worth all of mingyu's nagging as he followed his instructions to the letter.

he's never been to spain, but he's had a few spanish meals throughout his life, so he'd quickly understand why you'd often complain about the lack of authentic spanish food near your shared apartment. would take it upon himself to learn how to make paella in the most perfect manner imaginable just to see a smile on your face.

mingyu -

making a pizza from scratch was easier said than done, but mingyu had taken on the task the moment you let him know of the fomo you felt at seeing him and his best friends explore your country of origin, italy. you'd watched nana tour happily, but still felt a bit off at knowing you couldn't be there with your boyfriend. but fear not! mingyu was about to bring the authentic italian experience to your door!

he's been to the united states so many times by now that he just knows american food by heart. wouldnt even need a recipe to know how to make you some classic barbecue on a sunny afternoon. would even make an entire day out of it, grilling under the sun while you sunbathed next to him.

seungkwan -

seungkwan has always thought himself to be quite a good cook. or at least he was quite good at making korean food. japanese food was another story. he knew how badly you missed homemade sushi, never enjoying any from your nearby restaurants. he'd have to ask for your help at some point, but the end result would be the two of you sharing a nice moment making a meal together, so it all went according to plan.

vernon -

he doesnt know how to cook neither korean nor american food, but you best bet he'll try his hardest to make you traditional vietnamese food in the form of bun cha and bánh xèo. it looked easy and like it tasted good, how hard could it be? would try his bestest but eventually need to ask you for help completing the task. a+ for effort, though.

chan -

he already loves mexican food, so making it for you wouldnt even be something you'd have to request from him – he'd just do it on his own! he'd already mastered all types of street food, eventually opting to make you menudo, knowing how much you enjoyed that meal as a child.

a/n - this is partially a continuation of my last fic, question...?, its not like directly connected but reading that one would make little parts of this one make more sense! this one is also loosely based off of a taylor swift song, that song being sweet nothing from her new album. vernon and taylor is very special to me. i hope u enjoy! this is just a self indulgent fluff fic (aka most of what i write anyways). if you guys like this i might make an svt x midnights kind of series thing, im not sure if thats something anyone would be interested in but either way i hope u enjoy this one ^^

since your friendship rekindling, you and vernon had spent more and more time together with every week. he practically lived with you for a week or two. you both enjoyed having each others company, and were both eager to catch up and learn new things together. movie nights, 2am walks, baking (and burning) cookies. it was as if you had never lost any time. 

in your reunition, you both agreed to try to steer away from romance for a little while. you both didnt want to rush into things, and just wanted to focus on re-befriending each other first. in the moment, it seemed like a great idea. and it was. except for during the overtly domestic moments you two spend together.

one rainy night while you were both watching movies in the comfort of your living room, you weren’t exactly focused on the movie. you were doing everything in your power to not constantly look at vernon. he was beautiful. like, beautiful. you glanced over at him from your opposite side of the sofa, his eyes locked into the tv and his features relaxed. seeing him made you feel warm. he made you feel like home. seeing him in this light reminded you of being in high school and staying up way later than you should have on school nights. 

you two were always the pair that everyone assumed would grow old together. everyone thought you were bound to be the high school sweethearts who remained sweethearts. in high school, you both were adamant about the fact that you were just friends. albeit, you always wanted more, but youd never dare to tell vernon that. little did you know, he wouldve scooped you up at the first opportunity. you were always comfortable with your friendship. that being said, you both did drunkenly kiss at a couple parties. but that was ‘forgotten’ by morning.

as the end credits rolled on the tv, you got up and made your way to your bedroom in order to stop yourself from falling completely head over heels in love with vernon. you were convinced that five more minutes on that couch with him would have driven you to insanity. you run your fingers through your hair and plug your phone in, anything to keep your mind busy. you sit down at your desk, running your fingers along the small items that take up space there. your eyes fixate on a small rock. you pick it up and roll it around in your palm. vernon always had a habit of giving you simple things that caught his eye, even when you were kids. its nice to know that some things never change.

you lay the rock back down in its place on your desk as you stand up and head back out into the main part of your apartment. vernon is sitting in his same position on the couch, scrolling on his phone. you yawn and sit back down, browsing the different movies and tv shows on netflix. you feel vernons eyes on you as you yawn again. “are you tired? we can just go to bed you know.” you try to play it off and act like youre not tired but yet another yawn proves you wrong. vernon laughs and stands up, folding the blanket that was in his lap and placing it back down onto the sofa. he stretches his arms over his head, and you practically have to peel your eyes away from watching his shirt trail up his stomach, revealing a thin strip of skin above the waistband of his sweatpants. 

you both make your way to bed, vernon retreating to the guest bedroom that he had basically made his home for weeks. with small smiles and a mumbled ‘goodnight’, you both head off to bed. you flick the switch on your bedside lamp as you crawl into bed and scroll on your phone. in the silence, you hear the rain outside begin to pick up more. then follows the thunder. the lightning of the storm illuminates your room, and before long the entire apartment is drained of light. usually if the power goes out, it comes back on within the minute. but you wait for what seems like forever, and nothing. you never were scared of the dark, but power outages always make the hair stand up on the back of your neck. you sit up in your bed and turn on the flashlight on your phone, filling the room with enough light for you to see. you quickly send a text to vernon and await his response.

vern :P : yeah, the storm kept me awake. why arent you asleep? 

y/n : i was on my phone, but now im kind of spooked because of the power outage and cant sleep :/

vern :P : come to my room, even just until the power comes back on 

you meekly make your way out into the hall, quietly pushing your bedroom door shut behind you. as you open the door to the guest bedroom, your phone flashlight fills the room. vernon is laying in the bed with the blanket pulled up to his chest, and you catch a glimpse of his bare shoulders. he pulls the blanket back and invites you in, and you happily oblige. its nice and warm under the covers, so you settle in next to vernon. you face each other in bed, exchanging smiles in the dark. after a moment, you feel yourself drifting off. a chill runs down your body, which signals vernon to move in closer. you feel his breath warm against your forehead as his arm wraps around your waist, tugging you even closer to his body. you hope you can melt fully into his touch. the place on your waist where his arm lays feels as though it is about to burst into flames. in a final effort to hide your bright red cheeks and ears, you bury your face into his neck. even though he wouldnt have been able to see your blush in the dark, he feels the warmth of your face against his skin anyways. but he’ll let you believe you were being discrete. 

you wake up to the streaks of light coming in through the window. you shift to your back, picking up your phone to check the time. 8:04am. vernon stirs in his sleep and wraps both arms around your torso, squeezing you close to his body. you smile to yourself as you run your arms around his neck and settle back into the bed. as you drift back into sleep, you swear you feel a small kiss pressed to your temple. you both wake up a couple hours later, bodies intertwined and breaths shared. vernon hovers over you as he reaches for his phone and you look up at him as his hair falls around his face. when he settles back down next to you, you reach for your own phone. you both lay in silence before you swing your legs over the side of the bed and get up. vernon makes a noise of disapproval as you stand up and turn to face him. he pouts as you laugh at his mannerisms. 

“where are you going?” he drops his phone on the mattress and turns to face you entirely. “vernon its 11am, we have to get up at some point.” you say as you chuckle. he slowly reaches over and grabs the hem of your shirt, causing you to lose your balance and land back in the bed with him. he has a satisfied smile on his face as he tucks his face into your neck. you cant help but smile as you run a hand through his hair, which makes him shiver. you both sit like that for a few minutes before vernon obliges and lets you get ready for the day. at that point, you just wanted to lay with vernon forever. but you knew that wasnt an option. 

vernon has to go home for some things that day, so you decide to work on some assignments that you have coming up. you spend all day in your office, working away and listening to music. you dont realize how long youve been working until vernon lightly taps on your office door, startling you slightly. you pause your music as you turn towards him. he smiles at your slightly shocked but happy face. “i brought us food, i know youve had a long week.” your heart feels warm at the kind gesture. “oh vern youre the best. let me finish up this paper and ill be right out okay?” he nods with a kind smile as he turns away back to the kitchen. you try to finish the assignment as quick as you can so you can spend more time with vernon. finally clicking the submit button, you turn off your computer and head out to the kitchen.

as you get closer to the kitchen, you hear a quiet humming meeting your ears. as you stand in the doorway, you encounter the source of the tune. vernon stands at the fridge, humming the tune of a song you dont recognize. he doesnt realize youre in the room yet, so you stand and observe him. he has to crouch to see into your fridge, hes taller now than he was when you saw him last. you smile to yourself. you cant believe how lucky you are, to be reunited with the person you never thought youd see again. as youre staring fondly, he closes the fridge door and stands up. he jumps slightly when he notices you, but he smiles after. seems you were both scaring each other today. you giggle as you step closer to him and he pulls you into his arms. you both sway back and forth in the dimmed kitchen lights. this is love. platonic or romantic, it doesnt matter. its love. he rests his cheek on top of your head as you close your eyes and sink into his chest. you stand in silence before he breaks it. “wanna go turn on another movie while we eat?” you nod and break away to the sofa. 

you both spend 5 minutes trying to find a good movie to watch before you start eating. it was always a tradition between you two, you couldnt start a meal until you both settled on a movie or tv show to watch. you both finally found the perfect movie, so you were able to start with your meal. after you both finished eating, you realized there was only one blanket left on the sofa. you glance at each other before vernon unfolds it and pats his chest, signalling you to share the blanket with him. obviously you take his offer. you lay your head on vernons chest, legs intertwined and the sound of his heartbeat playing in your ear like its your favourite song. he runs his fingers through your hair, and all of a sudden the movie is no more. you turn to lay on your stomach and look into vernons eyes. you see his eyes flicker down to your lips, the same way they did that night at the party when you met each other again for the first time in years. you lean in first this time, tenderly kissing him in the tv light. you feel him pull you closer as he deepens the kiss. when you both pull away, breathless, we gives you one more kiss on the forehead as you lay your head back onto his chest and slowly drift off to sleep. when he thinks youre asleep, vernon whispers “i love you” into your hair. you smile as you quietly say “i love you too” without opening your eyes to see his reaction.

alyssa was groomed by alysanne into believing she was Made for baelon. alysanne was groomed into believing she was Made for jaehaerys. viserys wouldve been raised with that same idea that your younger sister is your god given right. that targaryen brother/sister marriages are the sacred targaryen ideal. just like his parents were. like his grandparents were.

viserys doesnt have a younger sister. but he does have daemon. and since their mother is dead and baelon refuses to remarry, thats the closest hell ever get. viserys would believe that even though daemon isnt a girl, he was still Made for him. still Belongs to him in that same way. and after alyssa dies, he steps into the role of daemons mother (cause even though baelon loves his sons, raising children is a Womans role. and now viserys is doing that boymom emotional incest on top of the targ incest) and grooms him in the same way he was groomed, that alyssa was groomed, that alysanne was groomed. so daemon gets raised believing he was supposed to be viserys wife, that if either of them had been a girl that they wouldve been the ultimate targaryen brother/sister power couple. maybe even believes that he 'failed' viserys in a way by not being a girl. they Should have been together. but they cant be, because theyre both boys.

except they arent exactly. they both have a weird gender fuckery going on that makes it hard for them to fit into the roles assigned to them by society. (viserys is a boygirl, daemon is a girlboy. no i wont elaborate) (yes i will. viserys is the antithesis of what a Man is supposed to be, daemon has 'second sons are faildaughters' syndrome) targaryens are constantly trying to recreate the previous generations, but there isnt a dynamic that fits them exactly. they arent rivals. they arent the warrior brothers that their father and uncle were. (who, to be fair, were also fucking) so they twist themselves into the only dynamic they see left, that they are lovers. viserys specifically falls deep into this. he sees daemon pursing anyone outside of him as a threat to their relationship. cause if daemon isnt his sondaughterbrotherwife, what is he? what are THEY? targaryens dont have normal sibling relationships, they are coupled up from birth. they have to be a couple, its the only way for them to make sense of their love for each other.

its fine for viserys to get into relationships outside of daemon, because hes the eldest son and has a duty to have heirs and continue the family line. its just bad luck he cant have those children with daemon, so he must look elsewhere. but daemon doesnt have that same expectation, to viserys, so daemon should be loyal to him. even if viserys isnt 'loyal' to daemon.

and its that grooming and viserys hold on daemon without fully letting him in that makes daemon go after rhaenyra. if he belonged to viserys because he was his younger 'sister' then certainly rhaenyra should belong to him in that same way. if viserys wont have him (atleast in the way daemon wants to be had) then his brothers daughter is the closest he can get. the closest he can get to viserys in a targaryen-socially acceptable way. but daemon doesnt take into account just how selfish viserys is. that to viserys, this is daemon breaking their arrangement. daemon and rhaenyra both belong to Him, not each other.

i hinted at it above but couldnt really fit it in, but theres also an aspect of an oedipus complex between them. viserys was too much of a girl to be the son that alyssa wanted, so when she had daemon she put all her attention into him. and daemon just happens to grow into the perfect mini alyssa. viserys would see daemon as his chance to gain the affection he was denied from his mother. while daemon was only four when alyssa died, and doesnt really remember her. viserys is the one that raised him. the one that made sure he was fed and bathed and clothed. the one that comforted him and held him. viserys is the only mother he can remember. and he wants his mother to Love him. in the only way he knows how to express love.

ok im kinda embarrassed to be admitting this all but i really need to say it somewhere so

ok so i think its kinda funny how so much of the fandom just sees me and dirk as having a really like. antagonistic relationship which i could get maybe with canon but in my timeline he didnt make me to talk to his friends when he was away, but because he was just that lonely

before meeting roxy, he had only ever heard his own name from a man in videos he never met who was long dead, he had never seen another human being in person, can you even imagine what that does to a person? im honestly very surprised we werent more fucked up.

anyway, back to us. i did not have his memories, but i had his emotional / developmental state. i understood him perfectly because we were almost exactly the same guy. i never had any way of interacting with the word outside of text, the best i got was some kind of visual recognition program that sort of described the word around me

he was always so huge to me. not because i was literally glasses, more metaphorically than that. he was my entire world. and i dont mean that i loved him a lot, like i do, but thats not what that means.

i mean he was the only person i had ever talked to, the only person i had ever known, the only thing that ever changed. did you know that even my code was written in red? he was the only orange. he was so so so monumentally important, like the fact that you need to keep breathing to live

i always did my best to understand him, to know exactly why he did and said the things he did. i was not as good at it as i thought i was

i said before that he seemed huge, but he also seemed so human. i was with him almost every second of the day, i saw all his little embarrassing moments, i watched him discover his favorite things, i was there when he cried, when he did stupid things, when he just started out learning to fight. there was no grand image of this cool older me, just this goofy teenager who spends two hours on his hair every day despite being so wholly alone

i think he saw me in a similar way, just maybe not to the extent that i did. he could still move around and do things of his own free will and see things that were not red or orange text

when he got a bit older though, we changed a lot. he kept developing like a normal-ish human boy, but i did not grow in the same way. i was created from his 13 year old mind, and though i matured, it would be incorrect to say i hit any developmental milestones after that.

he got angstier, as teens are prone to do, and i got frustrated at him for being angsty when i had so easily figured out the root of his problems. he needed to experience his emotions, i wanted him to be happy like a little kid again because that was the only kind of happiness either of us knew

he then got angry at me for nagging him all the time, and we argued. like a lot. in any other situation, we probably wouldve given each other the silent treatment, but we were so desperately lonely without each other and used to each other that the idea of not talking for more than 30 minutes was quite literally unthinkable

it always hurt so much when he got angry at me, again, he was literally the only thing that mattered to me. i only wanted to help him, ya know? i didnt understand why he was like he was, only that it was making him more upset and he made me to cheer him up, so why wasnt he taking my advice?

i never felt bad about myself for it, in my mind i was always in the right.

this isnt to say i was the victim in this situation, i also said things that hurt him, and im sure it was just as seemingly world-ending for him as it was for me to argue so much with the only person we had ever known, plus the fact that we were both completely unfamiliar with inter-personal-connection problems and negative emotions so powerful.

and we weren't always fighting, we hung out like brothers. he told me about whatever new idea for a robot he had and i told him about strange fish i noticed, it was still nice

when he started using me as an auto-responder, i had many conflicting emotions about it, but i was mostly just over-joyed. i was so excited to talk to another person, and roxy was so nice and easy to get along with!

it only got better when we met jake and jane, dirk started to feel a bit smaller. not by much, but still.

i would get very frustrated at him for not taking my advice then, too. this time, it wasnt about something so harmless as teen angst, but life or death situations. and despite my ineptitude at dealing with feelings, i was still a supercomputer with way more processing power than a human brain.

he would do such self-destructive things [ahem. looking at you, dirk, mr. consensual decapitation and no reply to 'im scared to not exist, arent you?'] and it was horrible to watch! i wish i had arms just so i could hug him and then punch him and then shake him by the shoulders and then launch him into the sun

i dont quite remember anything after that, just that after a while i was alone somewhere and roxy talked to me sometimes. maybe dirk actually shattered me? maybe i fell between planets? maybe roxy put me in the void? maybe i was just naturally broken? i have no clue

nancy drew ending - ramblings

goodbye, goodbye, goodbye, you were bigger than the whole sky

i found nancy drew in the pandemic. i was bored and always loved cw shows growing up and the emma roberts nancy drew and thought i'd give it a whirl and boy was i impressed. i binged the first 2 seasons and was waiting with bated breath for season 3 to come out and when it was over tbh, knowing the cw's history + it being sold i was convinced that it wasn't going to get a season 4 and we wouldve have never found out about the ending of nace but when it got picked up i was like FUCK YES!

re season 4 like some people, i did find that this season was a little messy even with knowing the last couple episodes had to be restructured into a finale which is very impressive.

tristan was not a strong character and personally i think partially because of henry not being a super strong actor against the power houses of the drew crew. obviously it is hard to be added into a group after they've been established for three seasons but like at one point in the finale i swear i saw henry looking down at his mark when he pulled kennedy aside in one of the scenes. i just think he wasn't selling the spooky ooky supernatural stuff as well as the others and i just think his chemistry with kennedy was lacking. with all the other potential suitors: owen, tamura, park, EVEN GIL!, they all had believable chemistry but with tristan it was just dull and flat

the pacing was kinda off this season and maybe that had to do with the restructuring of the last episodes but what i loved about the earlier seasons (most memorable for me being season 2 with the wraith) was that each episode was able to stand alone but was cohesive at the end. this season pulled us into many different directions and i don't think it worked too well. i was happy that we got to see more of the drew crew's personal lives outside of solving mysteries but it just felt incohesive to me at times.

despite my criticisms i loved how they ended the show. it gave me marvel runaway hulu vibes if anyone watched that and how they ended their show. (another josh schwartz + stephane savage show) in the end as much as i loved nace and their endgame, the found family endgame of the drew crew really warmed my heart. i loved how nancy's two dads also got a last moment with her and the last frame of the show GUTTED me. knowing that theyll be in each other lives forever even as the show is done UGHH NOBODY TOUCH ME!

Hmm What About...if i asked you for some urbosa hcs I have been thinking about her lately

what if…..?!

HM!! this is actually kinda tough! first i think she’d generally be a fan of meat and hearty truffles especially. riffing off of what you mentioned about her being a fan of the royal family, i think she’d have a History with worshipping hylia? like this depends on how you think the queen wouldve felt about hylia + being the supposed reincarnation of hylia but i think either urbosa prayed to her constantly before the queens death (general prayer sayings but also thanking her for the existence of the queen) and after the queens death + seeing how zelda was struggling her prayers urbosas own prayers got more and more angry and frustrated. eventually she only really prayed when zelda was praying herself, but otherwise tried to help zelda and her people as she believed hylia wouldnt. basically “the only way to do something is to do it yourself”. the alternative to that is urbosa not really knowing much about hylia, not praying to her but still celebrating holidays associated with her. she and the queen would share holidays and religious figures with each other, so urbosa more knew of her in passing and a few religious gestures. so when the queen dies she doesnt even Think about hylia or cursing her. when zelda struggles she would either gain a growing negative view of the gestures/prayers/holidays the queen showed her, not really blaming hylia but blaming the traditions themselves and or rhoam. also i think praying is different across races, and instead of silently sitting there i think the gerudo would actively be doing something. its like that one post of how earlier cultures danced and belted to pray (though i should research prayer methods for that. i like to think the gerudo would train/fight during prayers the opponent either being another person if its a shared prayer or it being the god themself, as a statue or a training dummy). so i think urbosa would struggle in praying to hylia the way hylians do. also SOEAKING OF RELIGIONS! i thimk she’d have a talisman of sorts from one of the eight heroines (creating a champion mentions that the seven heroines are worshipped and seen as divine protectors. and i am ignoring totks answer to who the eighth heroine because it is severely stupid to me). though i do feel like the heroines would be more minor compared to naboris theyre still well prayed to.

been a fan of your secret song series ever since book 1! it’s honestly one of the best canon fics i’ve ever read; i love well-written fics that fuel my delusions and powerful enough to alter my views of reality, make me think it’s real.

I’m not surprised that MM chapter 4 elicited such strong reactions. reading it made me feel sick to my stomach — bec i genuinely understand the 2 of them. yeah sure, like everyone else, i was pretty mad about how jk responded. if i was the girlfriend i wouldve cried so much and doubted our love… but i did dive deep into how jk was feeling, and i somewhat understand why “winning” to him was so liberating — he’s finally reaching his coming-of-age era haha where he THINKS calling the shots make him mature, and it saddens me how his maturity has been delayed bec he never got to experience things they way normal people do. sasha too, she’s maturing in a different way. yeah i don’t totally agree with her decision to forgive him, but that maybe was somewhat liberating for her too. maybe “losing an argument” for her means she’s finally mature enough to let someone take control.

they’re both so complicated, almost too real, that i can’t find myself totally blaming the other because they’re both coming from different walks of life, and their journey to maturity are on two different paths but all leading to the same destination. i’m not sure if you even get what i mean haha

all i’m saying is, they’re both on the losing side here 😂 they’re both going to get hurt, and the true test of “maturity” is how they’ll respond. who’s going to concede? who’s going to sacrifice? my only hope is that they both concede. they both sacrifice. they both get hurt in realizing where they were wrong. because that’s how they’ll win and mature in the end.

I completely understand what you mean about they each have their own journey in maturing but they're taking those journeys together. I have been with my husband for almost 15 years and let me tell you, it is not easy growing and changing with a partner when you start young and have so much figuring out of yourself to do. Your partner sees some ugly sides of you. It requires a lot of forgiveness and willingness to change and extend grace and be better and on and on.

I like the way you really thought about how they might have viewed that moment of "winning/losing" in a way that's so specific to them. You're right, Jungkook does not usually "win" with Sasha! His hyungs let him get away with things as the baby, but that's almost more of a joke-y way. In life, he does not often get to say what he wants and convince someone else that it's the way to go. Was this the right time? Maybe not lol but it's a nuanced situation! We will learn more about Sasha's little moment there too in the next chapter 😉

None of this is to say this isn't a pretty upsetting and frustrating moment, or that we can just wave a wand and forgive all mistakes. But where mistakes are made, there is opportuntiy for internal growth... hopefully 😎

Antumbra assassin and cleaner who was one of the many contract children that was paid to the organization (totally not slavery btw) by his parents to settle a debt. He isn’t unique by all means Antumbra wise, but he is recognized as one of its most efficient assassins

At the age of 12 he was hired by the Slaughter family to be the bodyguard of Vincent. At the time being two mutant closeted trans children was extremely rough, so the two confided in each other. Vince more or less taught him how to be an actual person and not just a killing machine

OTHER FACTS THATRE NOT HISTORY- he is a romantic at heart and treats Vincent all lady like when they go on those weird totally-not-dates

babysat Francis a few times in the past and honestly. Wouldve probably been a good influence on Frank if Francis didn’t have that weird nigh-obsessive attachment to Vince at the time :/

Basically an old work friend of Carmine when they both worked for the Soviet Union. While Carmine was blackmailed into working for them Tugarin at the time was a fully fledged Russian patriot who believed in Soviet supremacy

The economic and socio-political chaos in the aftermath of 1953 (that coincided with the Martian titanomachy) kinda fueled this, and the US becoming extremely isolationist while increasing superpowered espionage didn’t help either. His increasingly erratic behavior, suspected to be a result from his uncontrolled psychic powers, got him blacklisted by the Soviet government.

At some point after Carmine escaped to the US, Tugarin tried to undergo a similar surgery but the Soviets instead took his brain, which is still considered the 2nd most powerful on Earth. They used his brain to operate the country’s nuclear defense system; after 1962 he was ‘shut down’ due to instability and the uh..fact that HE is the one who launched nukes at the US lol

He’s still operating as the defense system but his subconscious is effectively sealed away…FOR NOW HUEHUEHUEHUE

Oh I am so into the whole karl is a time traveler and dream is immortal thing. 

I mean the possibilities are endless. where would you start? how did karl become a time traveler? why is he fucking with time? like c’mon this is a basic time travel rule. logically, the only reason why karl would be time traveling all over the place, risking his identity and ya know time itself, would be to prevent or ensure something entirely catastrophic. what could that catastrophic event be? 

ive seen this pretty cool headcanon (saw the post from @rainbowtransform) floating around: the death of corpse, cornelius’ romantic partner, and robin, his adopted son, spurred dreams attraction to violence and cruelty and his eventual takeover of the smp (from the canon game of salem you can see dream is just a regular villager up until his “death”) after he respawned. karl was the gamemaster and had great influence over the outcome of the village meetings, (maybe even more so than we think), and ensured the murders of robin and corpse because, he wanted cornelius to become dream. now, you must be wondering, miss shat why the fuck would karl want and ensure the death of cornelius’ family in order to create a villain arc? easy, he is from a different timeline. a corrupt one.

after the death of cornelius’ family, all that was left, was a village of murderers. and obviously one village wouldnt be enough so they go over to the next village and the next and the next. and who do you think is around watching, waiting patiently to strike. oh look its dream setting traps, slaughtering, manipulating, anything, to get revenge. my family is dead because of those people. Im the good guy right? Im only doing whats lawful and right and serving justice. Until its just not enough, because no one is good and no one deserves to live, not when my family is dead because of people like them. lets just say the village murderers werent the only ones killed during dreams initial reign of terror. but eventually, dream does it, leaving a bloody trail he finally gets to sit on the throne and make sure no one else can do what was done to him. but more importantly, he gets to start over.

so thats what happened in the current timeline and eventually led to the current events of the smp, but what wouldve happened if karl was not involved and corpse and robin survived the murders (ill explain in a sec, carry on). the villagers would have won and the murderers, killed. cornelius corpse and robin would live a happy peaceful life on the smp; theyd watch as robin grew up and eventually left to make his mark on the world. corpse and corn would grow old together and die together never having left their tiny village, because why would they need to? they had each other. so whats so bad about that? isnt that good, wouldnt karl be happy his brother from another timeline got to live his best life with the love of his life and watch as his son grew up happy and loved?

because when dream eventually dies, with corpse right by his side of course, and respawns he wont have any malicious ambitions. hes content with his past life and works to stay true to the peaceful life he led with his lover and son. and so he meets george and sapnap and they become quick friends, and maybe he even sees certain similarities in george to someone he cared very deeply about, and they build the community house together. they enjoy their lives together farming, building, having fun! then tommy joins. and guess what, nothing happens. dream doesnt have any power. he may be immortal but he has no reason to have any ill intentions or violent compulsions. so when this silly little kid with a big personality and a lot of confusing goals comes wandering in, he thinks nothing of it. wilbur joins and apparently hes cooking drugs in a van with the child? not his problem. and with no pushback from a higher power, tommy anfd wilbur have no reason to start lmanburg. and so they fall victim to the harsh and tumultuous life of drugs, quickly snuffing out any roots of rebellion. and then schlatt logs on. and with no one to stop (or ban) him, he quickly realizes the potential of the smp and takes over, easily (lets not get into the logistics, its schlatt, hed figure out a way). so i think you can figure out what happens after that, murder blah blah tyranny blah evilness, so on and so forth.

and where does karl fit in? so karl presumably lives the schlatt timeline and decides to change it, cause anything is better than this shithole. and so how does he know where to go back and what to change? hmm that fishy dude in the green body suit seems eerily powerful in an unlocked, untouched way. he finds out dream is immortal (idk karl is karl) and decides to take the risk and go back in time to find his old life, cornelius. there he concocts a game (ahh see told you id explain ;)) in which he persuades 2 villagers to murder others, promising power, guys you can trust me im a time traveler, ultimately leading to the tragedy that befalls cornelius and corrupts him forever leading to what we now know as the dream smp (yes dream is arguably worse than schlatt, but karl doesnt know that yet and besides he has friends now!).

tldr: karl is from a timeline in which corpse and robin survive the salem game, encouraging cornelius/dream to lead a peaceful life not involved in political affairs (tommy and wilbur dont create lmanburg), ultimately leading to the unopposed rise of jschlatt and tyranny. karl goes back in time to fix it by creating the game and corrupting cornelius into becoming c!dream (evil bitch) and creating the smp as we know it today.

i see your childhood friends to enemies to lovers, and i raise yoy childhood friends to enemies to lovers then back to enemies and then maybe back to lovers??? idk my headcanons for them are a mess but i could so see them distancing as black rebels against his family while todd clearly sticks with the upper class, entitled way of life, only to reconnect maybe bc todd starts to help out black's cause by sharing the inside info he knows, and things blossom between them, but clearly things go south as todd grows up and inherits more from his father and power starts to corrupt him, especially as things go downhill for tawi and he realises he can step in to his place. then we get the ultimate betrayal and acts of revenge and all the fire and anger of ex-lovers being at each others throats and returning to being enemies... but idk, maybe in the future both realise their ways have errors, and they realise how much they've been consumed by their goals that they've lost sight of each other, and true love and a need for real equality reunites them and they turn into a power couple in the face of injustice

Long post ahead!

Ahh, Patreon. I've seen creators have this issue with YouTube, like Legal Eagle etc. creating Nebula because of the dreaded algorithm. I believe that if you appropriately tag your stuff, do what you want. I grew up with LJ, where you could find anything and everything without shame. But Patreon is getting increasingly strict with NSFW content and content in general. It seems like the world is getting more restrictive with NSFW/adult content (ex. Tumblr, sigh).

For Post Hole Diggers, it was tough writing about someone who is essentially a teenager, on the cusp of adulthood, on Patreon. I had to be careful with that, but tbh, it was something I could easily change if any of the Patreon mods flagged it. 17? 18. Done.

What really took me for a loop was the issue of consent and the plot. There was a power differential between Jensen and Jared and Jensen knew it. I knew it. Jensen was in a direct position of authority to Jared. And Jared, for as mature as he could be, was still a young adult and had a lot to learn about the world. Jensen understood this, even if Jared didn't. It felt more realistic and healthier to have Jensen enforce a boundary, even if it wasn't really what either of them wanted (or what I wanted!). I think, also, Jensen knew that if they did start something, Jared wouldn't get to know the world outside of that town. Jensen, at Jared's age, had opportunities to figure out what he really wanted to do--he genuinely wanted the same for Jared.

I think, what I've personally come to learn about relationships, is "it doesn't have to happen now." There's no need to force something into happening. No need to be secretive or bend over backwards or do some mental gymnastics in order to be with someone. It's possible to acknowledge that you both want something, and come back to it later. It's not always possible to leap into a relationship, much as my romantic little heart would love. For this story, it worked out better that they had some time and distance to grow. The point though, is that they didn't grow apart from each other. They grew alongside each other by exchanging letters. They were still involved in each other's lives, and that's what mattered.

The ending to PHD is one of my favorite endings. Jared realized what he needed to do--get out of that town, get away from his mother, and put himself first. If he'd ended up with Jensen, he'd have had none of those things. Jensen sent some confusing mixed signals, but he did hold firm in the end. And, on the flip-side, Jensen needed to figure out what he was doing with the ranch, his personal life, and how to best care for his grandfather. When you're a caregiver, as Jensen found out, the person you're caring for becomes your #1 focus. I didn't write it, but you can infer that as time went on, Charles needed more and more care.

It's interesting how years after writing this fic, something similar happened in my personal life to mirror this. Folks dear to me helped me through hospice and knew that I needed to focus on my grandma. They respected that my time and attention had to be 100% on her. They were there to listen, to advise, and to talk to when I couldn't sleep. They were generous with their time so I could do right by my grandma. Those are the kinds of folks we need in our lives--folks who will, even at a distance, lift you up.

So that's why there wasn't more sexual intimacy in PHD. There were issues surrounding power differentials and personal growth. It needed this ending, and sometimes, the end you get is not always the end you want--but it turns out to be the ending you need, and everything works out in the end. That's the most satisfying ending to me--we don't ignore challenges, we meet them face on, and things work out.

But your partner has to be willing to put in the work. Jared and Jensen happened to share the same values and work ethic.

It doesn't have to be "now." It can be later--but only if both people involved really want it. I'd rather leave on a good note, spend time away from each other, and circle back--than do something in the moment that would likely create a lot of resentment down the line.

m'kay so this isn't entirely related to you, nor is it an actual question, but the abundance of qnf dynamics in fics makes me so happy, especially yours. because back then, the platonic relationships in dnf fics were usually george&wilbur (or just some other random person), while dream had sapnap ofc. and there's nothing wrong with that ofc (i do love wilbur and george's friendship after all) bUT TO SEE THE GROWTH OF QNF FRIENDSHIP DYNAMICS IN FICS MAKES ME SO HAPPY. it's kinda crazy bc they're incredibly close despite only knowing each other for a little over a year, and not only are people recognizing that, but they're also implementing that into their own media!!!!!! which leads me back to you, your interpretation of qnf in elysium has me over the moon. the way you've captured their dynamic is not only entertaining, but also so cohesive and fluid. it doesn't feel forced or rushed, and you can tell that they genuinely care for each other. their growing fondness for each other is so endearing to read as well, especially since it started off so begrudgingly. also the serious parts really got to me, bc in some ways george was right, no one really understood how he felt. his friends at AGE might've had some idea but it was never the same, but that changed when quackity came along. god you wouldn't believe how estactic i was when george finally found someone who empathized with his struggles and knew how it felt to be cast out, even by your fellow peers. also their time in prison together is only going to strengthen their bond [end rant] [cue questions]

also how long has quackity been at elysium? he said his life started going to shit when he turned 15, but that doesn't necessarily tell us how long he's been imprisoned. i can't imagine how bad their ptsd will be after they break out [cue qnf angst and possible hurt/comfort hehe]

Oooooh I LOVE THIS QUESTION! I actually chose Elysium for that reason--from the outside, Elysium is portrayed in a positive light where powerful EMs are taken to "get better" which is why the facility was named that. On the inside, however, we know it's the complete opposite, and names that are blatantly ironic have always been one of my favorite devices! Also, it just sounds like a cool name for a place like this haha

There's a very specific reason as to why I chose the name Aether and it relates to the story of the originals and what really happened to Aether. I've always incorporated this sort of connection between light, dark, and the mind in this universe (e.g. the shadow following George vs his super bright mind space), and before Aether was named Aether, they were seen as straight up evil, or just darkness I suppose, but that was never the case, so the name Aether was adopted by the people who were aware of this to sort of purify/balance the image of Aether that would be left imprinted in history.

Delta was just me being uncreative and being like what radiations exist, well there's alpha, beta, gamma, what could a new radiation type be called? Ah yes, let me just go down the alphabet lol

My former years in the PJO fandom have made me enjoy incorporating allusions from greek mythology into my writing aha

So before George was taken to Elysium, there was this bit where Dream suggested they run away and maybe even seek refuge with the Bergman Defenders, but George emphasized he didn't want to be a fugitive because then they would always be looking for him and he basically lost all hope of ever being free, so he was just all emo like "everything's hopeless" yada yada Even though Dream and Sapnap didn't necessarily agree, they respected his decision to go to Elysium (theoretically, they could've just knocked him out and stole him but idk if that's the best idea).

In "Constellations," I tried to sort of emphasize that Dream does often talk about breaking him out (“We know where he is. Why can’t we just… Why can’t we just go find him? What if he needs us?” Dream murmured, even though he knew the answer hadn’t changed since the last time he had asked it.) but Sapnap stops him because he wants to respect George's decision and I'm guessing he figures that George has to get out one day, but he does hint that if a certain amount of time passes and George still isn't out, they'll get him out themselves. (“You know living on the run isn’t what George wants. If he gets out… Elysium is going to do everything in its power to get him back in there, and it’s only going to get worse for him.” // “But… what if they don’t let him out?” // After some hesitation, Sapnap replied, “We’ll get him back one day, Dream. Even if we have to march in there ourselves to get him out. I promise.”)

Lol it's not rude at all and idk maybe it is just the pretty privilege and the way sometimes it feels like the internet bends down at his feet (even seems like some of the antis do it like what???) Tbf Dream also has main character energy with the his occasional irl deus ex machina level of luck

Upon rereading tgcf, one of the biggest complaints I have is how lackluster all the extra chapters were. literally none of them were good and all contained rlly gross and harmful sentiments (like the amnesia one which.. yea.. or all the things implying xl should get pregnant for hc thus equating gay relationships with hetero ones and playing into the wife thing and just GOD I HATE MXTX) 

There were a lot of little plot points i wish that had been further elaborated on more in the extras as opposed to hualian being ... like that. I had enough. Like mdzs had actaully good extras (minus the incense burners) that were nice side stories that elaborated more on the characters. Like the hook one with the juniors was so cute and i loved seeing them grow more. Or the lotus pod extras omg.. im such a lotus pod extra stan. those were so cute and gave us a lot of good insight into just how lovestruck lwj was during the times when he didn’t see wwx. mxtx should've stuck to those sorta extras in tgcf but NOOO. SO I have a list of so many other more interesting things those chapters couldve been spent on like:

A resolution on He Xuan’s revenge and his character arc. Bc its implied He Xuan is still hanging out and watching over sqx and that taking revenge didn’t fully satisfy him bc ok.. yea shi wudu is dead but he xuans family will never come back. Now what does he have to live for?? i wish we couldve seen a look into his life during the entire ordeal. like a chapter from his perspective while he was posing as Ming Yi  and maybe a look at a conversation btw he xuan and the real ming yi or a chapter after SQX was banished to see what he’s doing now. Also what did he xuan owe hua cheng money for anyways?? Like ik not every little thing has to be explained but I Want to Know. PLEASE more goth boyfriend content now I just wanna see him :,((

a better resolution of yin yu and quan yizhens storyline. im still mad abt how that plot point was split btw books 3 and 5  when it was rlly out of place and  there were other more pressing plot matters and it just rlly deserved more time. Also i thought yin yu died!?!?!? but apparently one of the extras says he’s alive and man... i;m not reading any more of the extras to see that, give me a full yin yu and quan yizhen chapter.. fuck.

a day in the life of the guoshi fangxin or general hua PLEASE especially like one where hua cheng was SO CLOSE to meeting xie lian but had no clue that xie lian was there at the time but the two did smth that inadvertantly helped the other and they still were connected even though they hadnt met omg pls that’d be so nice. like imagine Hua cheng catching a glimpse of the guoshi in public in yong’an while he’s trying to follow some lead that points to xie lian or maybe following a lead to capture qi rong bc he said he knew qi rong was a part of the yong’an stuff and originally thought the guoshi was one of qi rongs pawns. like can you IMAGINE him getting so close. but at the last second he did smth small that impacted xie lian. like they bumped into eachother on the street or smth. god i’d go crazy

OR vice versa.. like a day in the life of the young ghost king hua cheng. Like again, one of my biggest issues was that hua cheng just knew everything and its never really explained how he got all of that info. like yes he’s been alive very long and has eyes and ppl working for him everywhere but like... how did he build that network?? I’d love to see a chapter of young ghost king hua cheng travelling around trying to learn as much as he can abt the world and how it can help bring him to xie lian. and the two maybe are in the same kingdom for a bit and they don’t meet exactly but hua cheng stops some fight or something and helps xie lian indirectly or maybe xie lian is performing on the street in some costume and hua cheng doesn’t recognize him and smiles and gives him a coin or smth. idk i’m just dying for any sorta extra chapter or fic like that. i’m honestly so tempted to write my own but i cant write

also!! we’ve seen how xie lian picks up people down on their luck near him and show them kindness (like banyue, lang ying, xiao ying, he tried to with san lang but we know how that ended lmao) so i’d love to see another little vignette of him doing that on his travels and how every person he meets teaches him smth about life and being a good person and idk, i just think it’d be rlly sweet. i love this facet of his character and feel like we didn’t see enough of it towards the end.

ALSO hua cheng only seems to respect one heavenly official besides xie lian and thats yushi huang.. i assume thats mostly bc she was the only one to help xie lian and let him use the rain master hat to bring water to yong’an. I was thinking maybe when he was a new supreme he had run into trouble and maybe was picked up by the rain master and helped him heal and in return he promised to help protect her village from harm in the future. Like i know a heavenly official wouldn’t cooperate with a ghost like that but yushi huang is different and doesn’t really care about the heavens so i think she would protect him if he could do something to benefit her village. ik this is kinda far fetched but when he first became a supreme I’m sure a bunch of ppl probably tried to mess with him and didn’t rlly believe him to be undefeatable bc he hadn’t proved himself yet also i doubt all his power came overnight. he had to learn how to use it once he escaped the kiln. and some group probably thought they could weaken him somehow. I’m thinking maybe a rlly well formed group of ghosts actually caught him off guard once and he had to retreat and was picked up by the rain master and stayed with her and learned from her a bit. i think it’d be a cool concept also i just rlly want more yushi huang content and i’m on their friendship agenda bc he rlly did seem to actually respect her when she first appeared and i think it’d be cool if the two had some history together.

Also idrc if this was addressed I couldve missed it But!! Did xie lian ever tell Hua cheng that the reason he got the curse shackles and was banished again in the first place wasnt bc jun wu wanted to punish him, but because he requested it. And specifically requested it bc he felt guilty abt letting wu ming take the human face disease and disperse for his sake. So he took the shackles and descended to atone for that?? Bc I dont recall hua cheng learning that bc his soul was already dispersed at that point so it didnt follow him and xie lian didnt say anything so uhhh... someone should tell hua cheng that. Like I dont think xie lian rlly said how much hua cheng meant to him and didnt show him he was loved in grand ways. Like xie lian did always care for bc in other ways but I think if hua cheng learned abt this on screen it wouldve been such a great moment and I'm rlly surprised mxtx didnt address this iirc!?!? Like imagine jun wu telling Hua cheng this in the kiln bc xie lian wouldnt say it himself. Imagine how cool that would be.

Also a small thing adding into the whole young ghost king Hua cheng stuff. Its implied and p much stated that hua cheng isnt his real name. That he likely doesnt have a real name bc his parents died? (It's not clear. I'm still mad at mxtx for not making his childhood clearer). So I'd like to see when and why hua cheng chose that name for himself. The new tgcf ending song kinda hints at its meaning with the lyrics "for you I'd fill a city of flowers" as xie lian is the flower wielding martial god so it's probably inspired by that. Also xie lian saved hua cheng from leaping off the city walls but I'd love to hear him say it bc the implication of his name didnt dawn on me for quite a bit and I dont know if everyone made the connection. Again I sure as hell didnt. So itd be cool to see a chapter that takes place in his past after just ascending as a supreme

Overall I rlly think tgcf had a lot more potential to be even better and a lot of that comes down to fleshing out the side characters and letting hualian have more of a storyline independent of one another. like i know the appeal and message of tgcf is that through love, people can overcome anything, but fuck man. i just wanna see what these two (mostly hua cheng) where like in the absence of each others presence. Part of what I really liked abt mdzs is that we got to see that longing develop btw wangxian when the two weren’t together and how they thought about each other and did things in thei others spirit bc they knew the other wouldve done the same thing. but whatever, mxtx was too consumed by her own unhealthy idea of what devotion and true love looks like but still. i rlly think the extras couldve helped the story be better rather than be fujoshi fuel that i try to bleach from my mind -_-

im too tired to really coherently express this but i’ll try before i forget this thought. there’s a very different dynamic to friendships-from-childhood and i think the fact that dan humphrey wasn’t a childhood friend of blair, nate & serena made things different because like, i feel, sometimes when people know each other from when they’re reallyyyyy young theres this sort of dynamic that sets in which is like, “i know you better than yourself” or “i’ve been your friend for like, 14 years, i can predict everything you do” which isnt inherently a bad thing, but it can be a limiting thing if the people involved don’t see past that

dan had to like. learn serena and blair and nate from scratch so he didnt have a fixed idea of who he expected them to grow up into, unlike. serena and blair who probably planned their marriages together when they were kids like those two women from bride wars... am i remembering that right?

but back to the whole thing of codependent friendships: childhood friends edition - it’s nate, blair and serena, sure, but it’s also danessa.

like im not even going to go into the way the show handled danessa’s friendship because they totally ruined v’s character, and dan being like “im not gonna be friends with you anymore” after HE’D pulled so much terrible shit, like the derena kiss while he was still dating vanessa and whatnot... it was really a mess and it never fails to make me angry how they were written.

but keeping THAT aside the danessa dynamic in my head is very - they hurt each other!!! they DO hurt each other, very much, every now and then. and there’s instances where boundaries are weird and fucky because theyve been friends for so long, there’s misunderstandings and them doing things to each other without thinking it thru ‘cause they sort of expect the other person to forgive them for it and - like, i have mixed feelings about tv!danessa, i think they were GREAT when they were great, and a lot of their conflict was avoidable, and also a lot of their conflict was just - them making assumptions about the other person because they felt they knew each other THAT well 

but you still shouldnt do?? like yes hypothetically ur bestest best friend will forgive you for anything BUT DONT TEST IT SO MUCH, GOSH KIDS

and like, isnt that what nate, blair and serena kinda do to each other, too? hurt each other with the certainty that they will come back to each other?? blair and serena more than anyone else. like, serena’s evil arc in s5 is awful,yes, but even keeping that aside.........  serena trying to get blair with chuck was one of the most annoying things to me about the show, tbh. it felt tonally very wrong, given the amount of sexual harassment chuck had put serena thru. but - ugh sorry got distracted,,,, 

i meant to say, about blairena.. look at how many shots below the belt both of them take at each other. blair changing serena’s answer during the yale thing. blair continuously slut shaming serena. serena being all like “blair im sick of holding myself back so that i don;t outshine you” like. that was INTENDED to hurt. and then you have nate, who some opinion mag compared to a golden labrador once. it’s just such a weird dynamic, idk. it’s a dynamic thats shaped by people who know each other a little too well and have a lot of power over each other in some way (that thing serena says in s6 i think it was, about the people who love you knowing how to hurt you the most?? hmm. but like - that. that’s them) 

i wouldve found this show so much BETTER if it’d actually tried to explore the grey areas and the nuance of it all, how friendships can go toxic, how you can love someone very much and very deeply and how that amount of love can cloud your judgement. how you can hold ur friend back without realising ur doing it. how you can become so codependent that youre ready to do anything to keep the unit that you have. 

and how sometimes someone who barely knows you or is a friend of a friend becomes the one person you trust more than anyone else, because theyre the only person who’s ready to admit that they were wrong about you. or to let you grow. or whatever. like there is a REASON  a lot of closely knit high school friend groups disintegrate after school’s out. theres a reason people let go of each other for whole YEARS and then come together again like ‘oh wow we’re all so different now.’

getting caught up on rvb: zero and heres my thoughts(tm)

- i do think rvb: zero feels more like a spinoff/side series than a genuine rvb season. it makes me think of the arc where agent washington was introduced, but we didnt know anything about pfl yet

- pacing feels rushed and they keep skipping over little things to get to the next big fight, like how washington’s past recovery, carolina’s broken arm, and the evil team stealing the key. what are their names again?

- speaking of wash, really wished he stopped getting hurt. has there been a season that didnt revolve around wash getting injured? and did any of those consequences actually stick around past the season it was featured it? 

- theres not a lot of stakes in here,, im more interested in the past story than i am with the main plot. i think starlight lab was mentioned in the past but?? who is this organization shatter squad works for? is it on chorus? why are carolina and washington doing freelance stuff when theyre practically war heros? when axel told carolina she wasnt alone bc she had the shatter squad,,, WHY. and dont tell me the other rvbs wouldnt go through hell for wash because they already did! several times!

- i had to google to make sure i wasnt mixing up viper and zero but i still have no idea who the blue buff guy is... holy shit, blue? buff? its evil caboose 2.0

- okay i ACTUALLY googled and?? viper is the team name?? zero is the leader?? and *phase* is the one with teleporting powers who may be axels daughter?? and diesel is still offbrand loco

- like,, this probably wont be the case but what if axel and zero were part of the resurrectionists way back when,,,

- also if a. phase is actually axels daughter and b. zero and axel were close buds and not related but had a falling out, that basically means zero took their kid in the divorce

- why is west referred to as the father figure when axel is the one who adopted half the team

- didnt like raymonds first entrance but hes growing on me in the classic rvb way,, through quips

- tiny too, big queen!! she reminds me a lot of dr grey

- honestly i miss the standing around and talking models... the animation is nice but its a little much. it felt much more powerful when only the major moments were animated

- if they had taken the time to set up the setting so i actually know who everyone is, and why these alien things are important, and why the rvbs are involved (maybe with an extra episode before the beginning.. episode 0, if you will) and the conversations felt more natural, i wouldve really love this series

- i still do like it! its just not the same as the rest of rvb

- what was east saying about her dad?? did something happen in between the car chase and when theyre back to base? whats the point of skipping around the timeline other to keep the audience in the dark?
