Annie Cresta

There's not that much info about Annie, and not from Annie herself ... Which made her lots of fun to draw, just to figure her out.

On the left she's in her wedding dress which she got from Katniss. We know that it's green and has a very specific embroidery that makes it uniquely one of Cinna's works.... And wow, did I give it my all with the embroidery. (Never again!) It now has a very vintage flair to it which I think would have appealed to Annie.

In the middle, it's what I imagine her to wear during her Victor's Crowning ... if she even made it that far. Maybe she would still be in shock for a while until she was breaking down during her interview with Caesar? That's how everyone would know about her mental state after the Games. I imagine she would be forced to wear something sexy and very distinct for District 4 so it's mostly blue. The cape is a reminiscent of waves and a sea shell.

The upper right would be her after being freed and bright to District 13. She was described as "lovely, but bedraggled".

The last one ... well, I had some white space left. 😜

when i was a freshman in high school, i got yelled at in drama class because we were watching Shakespeare in Love and during a sex scene, i turned around to my friends to roll my eyes, "ugh can you believe the filmmakers found this worth putting in the movie for some weird reason? boring!" like it didn't even occur to me that someone might unironically enjoy that kind of thing

and i internally went, "movies are weird, oh well better somehow simultaneously remember and yet shy away from seriously analyzing this moment for another FIFTEEN YEARS" and friends, that's

had the longest, most honest conversation about belief with my dad today and on the one hand god is it exhausting because they've gone to such an insane place christianitywise, but also? the fuckin growth this man has gone through just to be able to have that conversation is so. it's not comforting, but god is it something to be able to have that conversation period without shouting and tears and just. walking away from it so unfulfilled every time.

Now that married women in their fifties are talking about their husbands making AI pornography of them, every last shred of my trust in men is gone.

They can be "good" for decades until a new technology, a new fad, a new feature, whatever, comes up and they see their wives and think they already have access so they can go around and try it out. "We're already married," "It's fake so it's no big deal," "I just wanted to spice up our sex life again," any excuse they can think of to undress and degrade the one they're supposed to love and respect without her consent.

I can't take it anymore. No man will get the benefit of the doubt. I'd rather die alone.
