Do TERFs know the etymology of the word "lesbian"? I get the feeling that most lesbian TERFs, for one reason or another, don't know much about the history of the lesbian movement.
If you're a TERF or other radfem reading this, tell me in the notes what "lesbian" means to you

Okay, I'm feeling like a nosy bee 👃🐝
Eepie friends, I'm curious - in what funny, ~unexpected~ ways has the Token Brainrot™ affected your life? Example:
I was watching Shrek with my family over the holidays, and I had to physically stop myself from tearing up during that Hallelujah scene, because it kept reminding me of Vessel's cover 🙃

Wait. WAIT.
Just before AO3 went down for maintenance (like, ten minutes before), I noticed that tumblr had implemented commas to make long numbers easier to read.
And now, after the site’s been restored, it’s back to displaying the numbers without commas.
Did adding commas into numbers break AO3?!

kind of just wondering if this is a common thing with other star trek fic writers (or fic writers in general really), but when y'all write do you hear the character's voice in your head?
like for example, when I write a piece of dialogue I'll be able to hear how leonard nimoy would deliver the line as spock, or if it doesn't sound right immediately I'll fiddle with it until I can hear his voice. and often I'll try and communicate the speech pattern/cadence I hear with pauses and "stage directions" and the like (whether or not this is a good strategy, idk, that's just what I do)
but basically I was just wondering if other people's writing processes look a little bit like that too? or if you don't hear the character's voices in your head how do you go about writing dialogue?

People have already talked plenty about this, I'm not saying anything new here, but man. I adore how Nightow used this anime-ism against us. Vash's hair at the beginning of Trimax stood out at first, yeah, but there's been a lot going on to distract us, and it was a cool anime-like design choice. Whatever.
So by the time this hits us, it's a bucket of ice water over the head. Because while we'd love to see Knives limit his own powers and be hindered from harming others... Vash is in far worse of a state. And he's not the one learning this.
And even if he was... at this point, we know he probably wouldn't care about himself. It's absolutely horrifying.
Well-played, Nightow.

No you know what fuck it. I like monsters vs aliens. I legitimately enjoy it a lot. “We could save every city on the planet and they’d still treat us the same way they’ve always treated us...like monsters.” Shut UP that is good cinema

Fun question; What do you think Moominpappa's Memoirs is about, exactly? Either thematically or literally.
I'm curious to see how other people see it (and no don't say stuff like "it's about a bunch of dudes sharing a braincell and messing around" because never have they actually shared a braincell on any matter, they have very different fractions of braincells specializing in different things.)

Just the Dark Mirror AU where Takua and Vakama are together and Vakama is both very young(less than 500 years old) and very traumatized due to his visions and seeing just how far Tuyet will to make Matoran fall in line
Takua, having lost his friendship with Jaller, looks after Vakama because not only does he have visions, but he's also just not good at moving hiding spots. Even when Jaller asks Takua to just hand Vakama over to Tuyet, Takua feigns ignorance and refuses
A bit of a cross-over/fun image: Imagine the two walking somewhere, hand-in-hand, and Vakama, being the Bionicle-verse version of a child, keps his hand over his eyes and sings a song from Ta-Metru as he and Takua walk to who knows where. It's quiet enough for no one to catch them, but loud enough that Vakama can hear himself sing. Maybe after Takua’s capture, Vakama IS left on his own, and he walks through deserted streets, hands over his eyes, and quietly singing to himself, but ensuring he's not caught by having it be some kind of "Honor to the Toa" type song
That is until he runs into Pohatu, who's admittedly surprised to hear singing nowadays and surprised to see Vakama himself, who's still younger than 500 years old
Knowing he's alone and he's a sitting duck, Pohatu leads Vakama to where the Resistance is chilling out, where he eventually reunites with Takua and where Takanuva sees the Turaga of his universe still as a Matoran, but barely even a tool-maker yet so broken, and the skeptical look he keeps giving Takanuva does not make him feel better

Hey Baldur's Gate III kittens!
Do we know how Gale ended up on the nautiloid?
We kind of have an idea for the others but Gale was a recluse in his tower.
How did he get there?
