Went off of Tumblr for like 2 weeks, happiest weeks of my life. I regret the supernatural fandom SO HARD.

cause on one hand, I love the artwork, and head cannons. And there are many fun and awesome people!!

On the other hand, shipping culture is awful?? Awful on tumblr. I've been harassed over ships, or gotten hateful comments over posts??

I'm still newish to this platform and I just liked having a place to state my opinions on random niche things just for people to go "erm IDC you hateful person!!" :(

Or I'll make a joke (not even hateful) about shipping culture as a multishipper, and someone butt in rudely about how I'm judging people who don't multiship?? Swear it's just so toxic sometimes my God.

Oh gosh, for now I'll just use my current favourites.

ABSOLUTE WRECK, Z E R O RIZZ

L e v i a t h a n (Obey Me); the wettest of cats. Would be a wreck before the date, during the date, and a week after the date. It could be something as simple as watching anime together and he'd be a wreck. Would practice talking with Henry 2.0. He would be DYING if he saw me in a suit or a dress. Is shaking in his sneakers and sweating his ass off.

Mild Wreck, Awkward But Endearing

Azul Ashengrotto (TWST); would probably practice EVERYTHING before a date. He even made sure to make it at the Lounge so that everything would go according to plan. Practiced what he was going to say at least five times to himself while getting ready. Would be nervously shaking in his boots, not quite to ass sweating levels though.

Viktor (Arcane); he spends most of his time in the lab tinkering on stuff. Would probably mutter to himself what he was going to say, but would rather listen to my interests or rambling about his current projects; I encourage the rambling. Would be a tad nervous. Also would fumble over his words depending on how dressed up I am. Probably would get clammy hands.

Julian Devorak (Arcana); he acts all suave, but he's a massive dork. Rambles to himself before the date, and Mazelinka would swat him gently on the head with her spoon to get him out of his own thoughts. He blushes easily, so his face would be pink the entire time. Is all talk, zero bite. Melodramatic theatre kid. (If you played his route, you know what I'm talking about).

Just Is Themselves

Jaehee Kang (Mystic Messenger); CAFE DATE. She would mentally rehearse what she was going to say, and trying her best not to be awkward; she hasn't gone on many dates before. She would smile and compliment the look, the only hint that she really liked it would be the faintest tinge of pink to her cheeks. CHERITZ LET US ROMANCE HER I'M BEGGING-

Jade Leech (TWST); wouldn't overly plan what he was going to say, as he wanted to see how the date would progress if he were just himself. Would complement the look, and we would probably go to something we're both interested in. Wouldn't be nervous, as he wouldn't go on a date if he didn't think it would go well.

Not Nervous, Rizz Master

Grelle Sutcliffe (Black Butler); when she likes someone she goes all in, and doesn't really plan anything in advance. Would gush over the outfit, especially if it matched, or had similar design elements of her own. I would be the nervous wreck in this situation, and stumbling over my words. Just SHE. (I love her so much, it's not funny)

Floyd Leech (TWST); he doesn't really act much different, and wouldn't see a point in getting all nervous and rehearsing lines. The only thing that would maybe be different would be the amount of PDA... and teasing and playful flirting. It wouldn't be overly serious, more so casual and fun, reflecting his own personality.

Rook Hunt (TWST); so he would practice, but not the conversation, just the poetry he made. Laying on heavy with the French compliments (I can understand you, you know). Would kiss the back of my hand, and wink. Again, I would be a nervous wreck in this situation. ESPECIALLY if he did unexpected PDA, like SIR-

i'm okay with it. cause my mind knows the difference between fictional and not fictional aka happening in real life. i'm okay with writing cnc and all that.

but if you think people write too much about rape and non con, i don't think it's the fault of the writers. maybe it's their way to cope with something that happened in their real life? we don't know that. and we shouldn't judge people just cause they write/post something we don't like.

so if you think there are too many rape and non con posts here on tumblr or wherever else, just don't read them. it's as simple as that, you don't have to read them. just scroll over the post and ignore it. most writers have a trigger warning at the top, or down below in the tags. very easy actually.

I think if there wasn't such a stigma and negative connotation applied to fetishes, where people act like they're inherently predatory and that those that have them have no respect for people or their boundaries when it comes anyone that can potentially fulfill said fetish, then accusations of things being fetishes even in cases where they aren't wouldn't matter

Like I do have a bunch of fetishes and they're not just preferences that influence what I'm attracted to, they're fetish status and I think that's fine. I'm not ashamed and I'm very chill about everyone else's too because I don't react or judge based on disgust factor and I know they're not inherently immoral to have, no matter what they are. It doesn't rule or control how you act and embracing them doesn't inhibit you from being good to others and not involving people who don't want to be involved

I know that I have certain ones where people will assume it says something about my morals and whether I'll respect people/be sensible around things that can appeal to and fulfill them (Example: body type) but I know it's not true for myself and many others. It does stop me from being as open as I'd like to be about them to the point I'm always on the fence with promoting one of my other blogs but I'm not ashamed, I just don't want drama from close-minded people

Most people have fetishes, I feel like it's very rare not to yet 98% of people aren't just going around dehumanizing anyone that could potentially entertain them and being inappropriate with people who didn't consent just on the basis of having them. And you don't just pick them and you can't choose to just switch them off, when it comes to people having issues with certain kinds existing at all lol. You can only choose how you go about it and whether you'll respect people's boundaries and not physically bring them into it if they don't agree to it

My fetishes do seep into concepts I create a lot and if too explicit and obvious they go on the appropriate blogs or the appropriate tags. I'm using a character to fulfill it who happens to fit the bill very well. And if someone accuses me of dehumanizing real life people, despite not even seeing how I can be respectful and sensible around those who could potentially entertain them, then I think they're just silly and it doesn't bother me. Fetishes aren't inherently predatory and dehumanizing and people are still capable of respecting real people and keeping things fantasy/only physically involving people when they consent

And it's because of this that when I see someone go "Um this person fetishized XYZ they're a bad person", it doesn't matter to me and I don't need them to insist that it isn't one for it to be okay. I understand that sometimes it isn't and someone is being wrongfully accused but I think that would be met much less negatively if it hadn't been so stigmatized. So instead I'm like "Alright, so what if it is a fetish for them?" if I can see that they're clearly sensible and respectful and safe and sane and consensual about it Idc. Go be free and get your rocks off however you want then, that's awesome I support you

Took me a while to pick which OC I wanted to do this, but I picked my Courier Six, Mrs. Ramona Fawkes

Basics:

Height: 176 cm/that's around 5'7''

Sexuality: well, she's bisexual, but she doesn't really think about her sexuality she's too busy trying to survive

Gender: she/they cowgirl yeehaw. Again, she doesn't really think about it, but she sometimes gets mistaken for a man bc of the way she dresses and doesn't mind being called a guy. so. take that as you will.

Extra: She knows some neat gunslinger tricks and doesn't mind showing them off. And she has a deep voice with a southern twang.

Ramona is very closed off and it takes some time and work to gain her trust, but it's worth getting on her good side, because she's incredibly loyal. Which comes with her bad habit of putting others' needs and wants before hers. She often avoids her own issues and rather deals with other people's problems.

Despite her closed off nature, she's pretty easygoing and cracks a lot of jokes in a sarcastic manner. You feel like you can talk to her about anything and she won't judge you, but you'll soon realize that you don't know anything about her, because she doesn't talk much about herself. There's a lot of baggage she refuses to share with others, unless she learns to trust you.

While she might not be the most morally righteous person and doesn't mind drilling a bullet between someone's eyes, she still believes there's good in people and tries to find a more peaceful solution before she reaches for her revolver. You could say she's this grizzled gunslinger with a heart of gold and one of the fastest hands in the Wild Wasteland.

In a cubical in an office building in a crowded city, you blinked tiredly at the computer screen in front of you. It was pouring down rain outside; it had been all week. The pattering outside, mixed with the many nights of insomnia, was slowly putting you to sleep. That was until the alarm signaled the end of the workday.

Immediately, the sound of dozens of fingers tapping on keyboards halted and was replaced with the owners standing and promptly leaving.

In your cubicle, you stretched your fingers while you waited for the flood of people to exit the building before you did. You had started this tradition to avoid the awkward social interaction that came with parting with your coworkers.

"We're going to the bar. Care to join?"

"No, thank you,"

"Alright, see you Monday."

"See you then."

"Good-bye,"

"Good-bye."

No. You hated small talk and preferred to stay a few minutes later and clean your desk than speak with your coworkers. But then there was always that one very different coworker.

Why he even worked an office job, you didn't know. For a long time, the two of you never spoke, his sly and confident exterior was new and foreign to you. You'd only ever read about characters like him, and while it intrigued you, it also scared you.

So for a long time, you kept your distance. But, what you didn't know was that while your eyes were avoiding him, his were glued to you.

Ajax told you that he started the job simply because if he didn't find something that paid better than his last, he'd be kicked out of his apartment. It wasn't exactly ideal, sitting at a desk all day, but work is work.

It took him a month before he even met you at work. The office space was large, and the cubicles were high, and that offered minimal social opportunities. In fact, he probably never would have even met you if he didn't accidentally fall asleep at his desk and miss the alarm.

He awoke like a hurricane and scrambled out of the now dark office, trying to smooth out his wrinkled shirt and disheveled hair, quickly inserting himself into the elevator that just happened to be open. The one with you in it.

You pressed yourself into the farthest corner, hoping that if you kept to yourself, you might avoid conversation with this loud and intimidating man. You'd never been so close to him, blinding you to how tall he really is.

Ajax stared at you. He's never seen you before, and it intrigued him.

"Hello," Ajax's voice sounded through the enclosed space of the gray elevator. This ride has felt ten times longer than it usually takes, equally awkward for both of them. "I haven't met you yet, I don't think."

You knew it. You knew he was going to say something- it just wasn't in his DNA to shut up for any extended period of time. You panicked.

"I've seen you before."

Why. Did. You. Say. That.

Ajax stared briefly, opening his mouth to say something, but you spoke first.

"I-I'm sorry," You stuttered. "I mean, I've seen you before, but I haven't had the chance to introduce myself."

Ajax laughed. You were quite literally trembling with shyness as you held your bag as close to your person as possible. Whatever fingers weren't clutching your bag were playing idly with the buttons on your white collared shirt, drawing his eyes briefly to your chest and further drawing you in on yourself.

"It's no problem," he said, focusing his gaze back on your eyes. "I'm Ajax."

"I'm-" the doors to the elevator opened and revealed the empty and bland ground floor of your shared office building. "My name is y/n."

With a grin, Ajax stepped out of the elevator. The two of you walked outside together, stopping under the balcony that protected you from the pouring rain. The sun had long since set and left the parking lot wet and dark, only illuminated by streetlights and passing drivers. You sighed. It wasn't raining when you got here this morning, so you didn't bring a jacket. You should've known better, it always rains in this city. Ajax did.

"Did you drive here?" Ajax asked.

You shook your head. "No, I took the subway."

"Cool, me too. I'll walk with you."

Before you could protest, he took off his jacket, draped it over your shoulders, and pushed you out into the rain. The two of you ran the entire way to the substation, lucky that it was a short distance from work. Once underneath the safety of the dry subway station, Ajax adjusted the coat until it sat comfortably on your shoulders and took his hands off you. You don't believe you've ever been touched so much by what was practically a stranger. Yet, somehow, you didn't mind it.

The two of you took different trains because you both live on opposite sides of the town, and after that, he created two new traditions for you. One where he would pay you a visit when he clocked in and one where he walked you to the station every night. He would be the only one talking some nights, but you were happy to listen. Ajax's sudden, if not pushy, friendship revealed to you just how lonely you truly were.

Your entire life, you have gone without any real friends, opting to bond with animals or keep your brain busy with books. Ajax was like a breath of fresh, new air. Something you never knew you were missing.

Soon enough, the two of you were going to dinner together while your coworkers met at bars. Most of the time, it was the local diner, but occasionally for special days such as holidays or days when you would get pay raises, he would take you to a fancy high-end restaurant. No matter where the two of you ate, he always paid.

You met eyes with Ajax's as you peeked over your cubical walls. You had heard his voice radiate throughout your office as he laughed heartily with your fellow coworkers. He stood by the coffee maker, idly stirring a cup that steamed in his hand, when his eyes shifted and met yours. Immediately, your heart lept as if it were acting on its own. He gave you a broad smile, successfully turning your cheeks red and hot. Retreating quickly, you hid behind your cubical.

Alas, your half-hearted attempt to hide from Ajax failed as he poked his head around the corner. "What are you doing?" he laughed, making your cheeks burn brighter.

"Nothing," you replied. You eyed the cup of coffee in his hand and quickly changed the subject. "Where's mine?"

Ajax's eyes flitted to the cup before setting it down on your desk. "Didn't know you drank coffee!"

You didn't. And you felt that he knew you didn't and was testing you, so you took the cup and drank just to prove him wrong. Burning water flooded your mouth as you choked back a gag at the bitter taste. Was this idiot drinking straight black coffee!?

Setting the cup back on your desk, you coughed into your arm and fanned your mouth, desperately trying to find some relief from the sweltering heat. Ajax simply laughed and took his cup back. "Too bitter? I do have to say I make mine a bit different at home."

You waved him away, reaching for a water bottle from your bag. "You're a jerk."

"Maybe." He took a swig and sighed, completely unfazed and definitely rubbing it in. "Anyways, I didn't come over here to torture you. I have a new destination for dinner tonight."

"And where would that be?" You asked, fumbling with the cap of your bottle.

"My apartment."

You involuntarily squeezed the water bottle, sending water onto your lap. "Your apartment?" you parrotted.

"Yeah! I wanted to make you dinner this time. I've got an old recipe from my grandma that I used to have all the time when I was a kid, and I wanted to share it with you!"

This would be the first time you visit Ajax's apartment. You've fantasized about his apartment, how it may look, and how it would smell. This idea frightened and excited you. Thoughts of how you would look inside it and what that would lead to crossed your mind as well. Those fantasies were spawned from the recent after-work dinners loaded with tension, especially after what happened just the night before.

Ajax held the umbrella he had the foresight to bring along as the two of you walked to the train station from your dinner date. With a firm tug, Ajax pulled you closer underneath the umbrella with him. "You're getting soaked," he said. And when you began to protest, he smiled at your defiance. "No need to be shy. I brought this for the both of us."

He had you squeezed underneath the small span of the portable shelter, leaving little room for personal space, and you squished against his chest, and while you didn't want to give up so quickly, you did enjoy the intimacy of it all. As your feet struggled to keep up with his brisk pace, you gazed up at him, a hand placed on his chest. Ajax met you with his dark blue eyes. You expected his signature devilish grin, or maybe for him to stick out his tongue or comment on how small you were compared to him like he usually does- but he didn't.

Instead, his pace slowed ever so slightly, pink slowly spreading across his cheeks. His lips parted, and you expected words, but nothing came out. The look in his eyes sent shivers down your back and butterflies into your chest, absentmindedly making you clutch his shirt. You only noticed your grip tightening because of his reaction. He winced and let out a short, sharp breath, breaking the prolonged eye contact. You quickly let go.

Soon enough, the two of you were parting at the train station. As you cast your gaze over your shoulder to see Ajax one more time before you left, you saw him watching you, face still covered in a light blush as you boarded.

"Sounds like a plan," you said. "As long as you promise your coffee preparing skills don't overlap with your cooking!"

Ajax laughed and brushed a finger across your cheek as he walked back to his cubical. A simple action that rendered you useless for the rest of the day.

There was a huge part of the fandom I was missing (when I rarely saw art on a fic I thought it was like from Pinterest sue me and never clicked in links that take you out of ao3 because I found them suspicious). Anyways, Im losing myself here. What I mean is: Im so grateful for all the fics, fanart, everything related to them that feels like these open love letters for this ship that I also wanted to give a gift to y'all (its my love language) so I created my fic! Opinions on lukercy? *asks deviously*

I mean...idc? Like, Lukercy ain't really my cup of tea- but it's not like I hate it or something. I don't rly do PJO ships besides Thaluke- and even there I'm just as good with them being platonic. So Lukercy, like any PJO ship, is just sort of ...there, at least for me. But I genuinely love the shippers! Like even if I personally don't ship it the guys that do are some of the chillest, most respectful non-toxic fans in this fandom. Which...okay tbf the bar is in literal hell- but I do genuinely mean it! To share a little anecdote here- So when I first read the PJO books I had this series up on my main where I posted my thoughts and reactions to the chapters. This obviously attracted some older fans who talked with me and commented, all really nice and innocent stuff. Thing was, I was always very pro-Luke ever since TLT. I genuinely loved the guy- to the point where he unironically was the main draw to the books for me. In comparison, I didn't really care for Percy and CHB people, as I found them rather bland compared to the TA demigods all things considered.

Which- out of context that is nothing bad! Absolutely not- it turned into one though when someone at some point asked my thoughts on Percy/Percabeth. I replied to them with the things I said above, that I find them rather bland compared to Luke and that I don't rly care too much for them. And MAN when I tell you that reaction was WIIILLDDD. They went on like an 8 messages rant in the notify section of that post about how I "just don't get it" and "Am so unfair" and just "judge characters on the amount of trauma they have" 💀 Genuinly that is a forever PJO fandom core memory now. They even demanded me to talk about and dig into Percy like I did with Luke because they "knew that I could do it since I did it with Luke". That shit was crazy- they sounded like my teacher wanting me to write more in a poem analysis or sum T-T Fr the only reason I didn't block them then and there was bc previously they were pretty active with my posts and nice to me- had that user been a stranger they would have been blocked SO fast. After that they just interacted less and less with my stuff and I haven't spotted them in my notes since lmao. So yeah, that's my fun story of how a Percabeth Shipper/Percy fan basically demanded that I go and analyze their favs just bc I could do it, and they wanted me to. And, well- say what you want but that certainly never happened with any Lukercy shippers XD Some of my oldest PJO mutuals and friends are Lukercy shippers actually, genuinely great ppl! I think all the hate you guys get is just genuinely weird af like??? It's a fictional ship between two fictional characters, calm down man. Yes I can see how some ppl might be uncomfortable with it and would prefer to just block the tag and users who like it entirely- but it ain't that deep. Go outside. Hug your family. Get some hobbies. IDK just stop treating a fictional yaoi ship like the plague itself. At this point it just straight up borders on weird how worked up some ppl get XD I do read some fics and like some art, mostly bc, again, a good amount of nice mutuals of mine ship it and I'm just supporting their work. TL:DR : Not my cup of tea, but I love the guys who ship it and never had one single bad experience with them. As opposed to everyone else. Also ppl should stop hating on it so much and just move on if they don't like it.

judging the art alone, not the fact that we get a new anime or anything exciting like that, just the art alone... it's very pretty!

yea this is very pretty. the kid looks great, small and good, and his hair looks feathery and neat, so I approve. I think they nailed his general proportions, I think they'll do a great job at keeping them consistent during episodes! the image to the right does looks a tiny bit like a 3d asset, which is a bit jarring compared to the previous anime style, but I'm flexible towards this change. even if he looks like a video game cutscene character, I usually love cutscenes!!

but here's the drama I'm sure you're here for. yes, unfortunately, there are some wee things that I don't love as much🤏

the first thing, it really doesn't matter and I should shut up about it now... but YOU asked so ajdjfksksk why did they have to shrink sebs jaw cmon my favorite art of him ever was during the Greenwitch arc so don't tell me I'll NEVER be able to see that style of him animated😫 I just like prominent features man. I know he's meant to be pretty but but but....

ah okay. heres the main thing that I think most people may agree with.

these are two screenies of sebster from the teaser. honestly, as ☆luxurious☆ as his lashes are, I'm not a fan of the left image. the airbrush on his hair feels a tad overdone. I love the attention to detail, especially in the one on the right, it shows a lot of love! but there's just something about it that's a bit off for me.

and I think after 24 hours I've finally figured it out: it's the colors.

the realization started to hit me when I saw my favorite edit so far here by @ashxketchum. the colors have been edited to be much more saturated and warm. and I think this is exactly what is missing here.

I even tried my own hand at it, and yea personally, I think slapping a saturation, tint, and just a BIT of contrast on the whole thing can do numbers on it.

already I like it(no I'm not just praising my own work, it's not the best edit out there I did it in 30 secs). I think the reason for this is because the background is very rich in contrast and warm tones, so the characters(particularly sebastian who is all black) stand out when they are muddy and low contrast. I love stylistically when contrast is high, but that's just a personal thing, and I shouldn't hold a studio to those standards.

I tried it for the poster too though, which again I felt was a bit off. official art has never been the most top tear, and the poster is GOOD, the background is awesome and the two peeps looks amazing. but my problem with it was clear once I did another color edit.

again, I feel like everything was very muted in the left original, not to mention a tad monochromatic. I really think a kick of contrast and hue could do wonders.

BUT. I know that at the end of the day, it's not a big deal. I don't really care. would it make my day or whole year if they slapped a color filter on it, or continued to work on the color grading of the scenes? probably yea! but my opinion isn't obsolete, and most of all, I look forward to and respect the artists decisions.

so no I'm not "fixing" the art😅😒.
