absolutely adored dead boy detectives but god did it make me miss when we got more than 8 ep long shows like i love what we got and they did the best with the time they were given but there are so many things that could have been explored if the show had more time to breath

i want to make it clear that i fully support sand's decision to help ray at the end. and i don't mean in a "what this means for their relationship" way. if i am at a party where i know someone - no matter who, whether a stranger, a friend, or my mortal fucking enemy - is doing drugs and the authorities arrive, i go help that person. 'cause what i am, a cop? not to mention that ray is an addict. pigs are the last fucking thing an addict needs.

Born October 5th, 1921, in Nebraska

Died April 8th, 1988 (age 66), in Martinez, California

Joe Ramirez enlisted in September 1942 (age 20) in San Francisco, CA, and he trained with Easy Company at Toccoa. Holding the rank of Private, he served in Normandy, Holland, and Bastogne. He was hospitalized in January 1945, and discharged in July 1945. After the war, he was married for many years, and had children and grandchildren. When he passed away he was buried with his wife, who had passed away 11 years earlier. Further information about him is scarce, but the brief character profile in the Band of Brothers series bible describes him as Mexican-American, and his personality as "sensitive and nervous."

the thing is that like the 8 episode season where each ep is one hour to an hour and a half long IS good IF. if if if. BIG IF. if it's a one season only show in the first place. if the whole story is contained and it is clearly over at the end of the very last episode and it was INTENDED to be that way not just rushed bc it got cancelled. that goes hard as hell. u binge the whole thing and feel hollow at the end and then start it all over again. but doing it with a show that is clearly intended to continue is crazy. if I'm supposed to sit with these characters for multiple seasons and I'm supposed to watch them develop and grow and experience the epic highs and lows of high school football then I NEED silly exposition episodes. I need episodes where people just talk and the action isn't really there. there needs to be a balance between jam packed crazy ep and slice of life ep where the characters get a breather and go on a goofier adventure. the 20 ep season format gives the characters time to become PEOPLE instead of just like. a guy on a screen. do u know what I'm saying

#like band of brothers. perfect format crazy long eps and a short season. only intended to be one season #or like. that show unbelievable with toni collette.#only 8 eps. each ep was an hour. but it was intended to be that way. it was telling one story only with a clear focus and a clear end #but if it's like. a show with many characters and an overarching plot beyond just what the one season you're watching is telling u #then u need. more than 8 episodes a season to get that point across and plant your clues #and get people INVESTED. u know what I mean #it's not that the 8 episode hour long episodes season format sucks. it's that they use it WRONG #anyway death to streaming tho that point still stands. it's been over 2 weeks and this thing (unfortunately) still has a grip on me

#rant in the tags coming so please do scroll away if you enjoyed the finale 🙏#you know how with some things you'll be like 'I had some negativity towards this thing but--#now that it's been some time I feel better towards it'?#my thoughts on the finale have only gotten worse since it released 🥲#being given more time to think on it made me notice more things I had wrong with it #like I really wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt but it is so difficult #when I tried ranking the episodes from best to least favorite #I'd come to realize that I couldn't put either finale episode above the other for the bottom two #they both gave me the same feeling of being doused in ooze 😭#I've written a good handful more thoughts on why I disliked it since the last rundown I had posted #though I'm afraid if talking about this is considered cringe or old news now that it's been a minute since the eps came out lol #I've watched the finale in full two times just to take everything in but I don't think I can do it again anytime soon #I think there's about 8-10 mins of the finale that I genuinely enjoyed #the rest making me want to cry in disappointment or was just 'okay' to me #just gotta 'it is what it is' my way through knowing the show ended like That. we stay silly!#however- writing about it does give me a little bit of relief lol #adventure time #at #fionna and cake #petrigrof #simon petrikov #betty grof #my post #my art

if that is gabrielle in those storyboards and she's a brunette i will be a bit disappointed tbh. like i think it's important that her and lestat look a lot alike to the point where he becomes her male avatar to go out in the world and do the things she wants to do (before he makes her into a vampire and then she can do it all herself w/o him)

#first off i don't think we should be seeing so many tvl characters yet. like i don't want to see gabi or nicki from not lestat's pov #and like i know that both of those characters are relevant to armand's story but only insofar as it relates back to lestat himself #and i want s2 to mostly be paris and louis/armand and the tragedy w claudia and madeleine #like that's so much they have to do already and only 8 eps to get it done. i don't need tvl stuff yet it's not super important #i do think there could be something interesting about seeing armand's view on gabi vs lestat's but not enough that i want to see her yet #second of all i think it's important that the 2 blur. 'you are the man in me' lestat is an extra appendage to gabi #i think it's interesting in the books how much ppl are like gabi looks exactly like lestat but as a woman; they're 2 halves of one whole #i don't normally care about being faithful to book appearances in stuff but this one i'm a bit adamant about #amc iwtv #vampterview

Revenant is soooo mid which is disappointing because I was looking forward to it due to the actors and writer (this isn’t a flop like Jirisan, which I gave up on after 2–3 episodes, but it’s not really good). BUT. BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m suffering from “poor little meow meow middle-aged man” deficiency and Professor Yeom Haesang suffers so much. I can’t believe I was like “Oh...okay” about his casting because I’m planting my palms against his windows, peering at him in his little cage and being fed because he’s had the worst life ever and it keeps getting worse. HAESANG *____*<3

#why are we not talking about him more on reddit/twitter/tumblr and why are there not enough gifs and pics of him breaking down #or looking slutty in his all black ensembles complete with a turtleneck #watch as this man's life continues to deteriorate! ep. 7 and 8 provided such rich sustenance for me #a simp for ajusshideul who are miserable #he's so small and sad and he can't catch a break #yeah okay hongsae is great too and he's a cutie but LOOK AT THIS 40-YEAR-OLD MAN!#technically i wouldn't even count that as MIDDLE age middle-aged but his actor is 46 so whatever #in all seriousness revenant exasperates me a little because you can see how it can be good #especially because there's a frame of reference to base that hypothesis on: signal. lol.#signal wasn't without its flaws but the characters and relationships actually had development and the main partnerships were intense #and the tension was high throughout #revenant is the same thing every episode pretty much #the first three episodes were pretty to really good and i loved the setup #and you have kim taeri hong kyung and oh jungsae and they're great actors #but the directing and writing aren't serving them well and you can see the drop in quality from the beginning to now tbh #there's only so much they can do if they're not being given enough from both #though the little bits that are good are the reason i'm sticking around to the end lol. that and haesang i'm going to be real #like haesang and sanyoung's relationship needed to be parallel soohyun and haeyoung's in a way in terms of how much #they grow to rely on each other and care for each other but we don't really get that

While I know its unlikely I would really love for one of the next episodes of rwby to show a little bit of why Neo was so mad about Roman's death, like little bits of their friendship to show how close they were, so people who didn't read the book can understand Neo a little better and like. how close Roman and Neo actually were.
