Word of Honor - I realized something in Ep. 16

I realized that there was something that they probably cropped/zoomed in on the video in order to censor.

The Scorpion King and Zhao Jing are talking, and at about about 29:44 you can see Scorpion's arms move up for a fraction of a second. Then it zooms in a tiny bit to basically just show Scorpion's head, and Zhao Jing from like the top 4th? of his torso up. At 29:45-:46 you can see part of Zhao Jing's robe move a tiny bit. Scorpion is clearly pulling on part of his robe in a playful manner and they were like, oh, uh, we can't show that..... but if you pay attention that's definitely what is happening... I got the "vibes" between them already from this interaction, which is the 2nd time they're shown together. (Ep. 15 shows them talking but with Zhao Jing purposely obscured, so you just know Scorpion has some mysterious "godfather" -- the subs on Youku say "father" but "godfather" is what it said on Netflix, I believe, and may be a better translation for English speakers to understand they are NOT related...) I was surprised that not everyone gets the relationship they have with each other, tbh. Even if it's not clear earlier on, when that metaphor of the "gambler" comes in, and Scorpion says something like "I am a gambler too"..... I mean come on. But not everyone realized it? (Based on comments on YT videos and some people's reactions I've seen) Still, I wasn't aware of this little robe pull, at least not consciously, until just now. I just love noticing those little details. Knowing how much work they put in to include things, even if they might have been censored later, is fascinating (and really special!!!) to me.

I was curious how you manage to keep features consistent when you draw them? Do you use models? Is there a model for Crowley? He is very handsome.

I don't use models per se, but I sometimes keep files of photos or art that resembles the subject.

Crowley is based a bit on the French actor Alain Delon who was once considered the handsomest man in the world. He doesn't look exactly like Delon, but that is in my head when I draw him. I recall reading Neil and Mr. Pratchett once considered Peter Sellers for Crowley.

There is no reference for Aziraphale because he is entirely in my head and I can't really find anyone who looks exactly the way he does. I recall reading that Neil and Mr. Pratchett thought of Brian Dennehy at one point, but my head canon Aziraphale won. I think a Brian Dennehy Aziraphale would have been amazing, though. Anyway, he is actually kind of hard for me to draw because his facial structure is a bit outside my usual style. His face is a bit long and his eyes closer together than I normally do, and if I'm not careful, he slips away. He appears younger and more classically handsome as an angel than he does in his corporeal form, but I think he's quite fetching as a bookseller.

Michael Sheen is so perfect in this role it is really hard not to leak bits of his performance into the graphic novel edition, but I have to resist the impulse. I am not allowed to use any of the show actors as models.

I adore Michael Sheen. Who doesn't?

Adam is also a head canon character. He is a perfect young Greek God, so that's kind of drawing on a day with a Y in it for me.

The inspiration for Newt I'm keeping a secret. I submitted a number of sketches for Newt. The show Newt dug in deep and I had a hard time shaking him off.

The Them are based on kids I knew. They're in my head, I don't need any photos. They don't really look like the kinds in the show. The book version of Pepper, for example, is a freckled red-head.

Anathema is an amalgam of features that don't come from one person, which I think fits the description of the character. She's also unusual for me to draw but she's easier to draw than Aziraphale. I nail her every time.

Hastur is a caricature of the stereotypical English upper class you'd see in broadsheets 200 years ago. I have a file of pictures of Anthony Ashley-Cooper, 7th Earl of Shaftesbury for Hastur. I considered making Hastur more handsome in a Duke of Hell sort of way, but I think Hastur likes to be scary. I keep thinking of Peter O'Toole when I draw Hastur, too.

I feel kind of bad basing Hastur on Lord Ashley because he was a wonderful person and I'm sure he didn't go to Hell.

Ligur is a broad caricature of Danny Devito. I obviously can't use a DeVito portrait. That would be wrong. But I can tweak from there and come up with a general idea of the face I want to use.

Beelzebub and Metatron are head canon, and don't look a thing like they do in the show. I postulate some demons prefer to look like their angelic selves, and at other times prefer to be fearsome. Crowley can look fearsome when he wants, for example. In the book, Beelzebub appears as a young man in red flames.

Shadwell was drawn from reference at the direct suggestion of Neil.

Madame Tracy is based on a certain person, but no one you would have heard of. The original source might not be flattered, but I love Madam Tracy. She's really easy to draw because she's a bit over the top. I'm sketching around her scenes right now because I don't have final approval on some things yet. So she might need some changes later.

War is head canon, very easy to draw. She's a knockout. No reference required.

Famine looks a lot like Famine in the show, actually, but that's what Famine always looked like, pretty much. Except he has the grey eyes he has in the book.

Pollution is initially described as being a forgettable white guy, but later described as looking like a romantic poet, which strikes me as being memorable. Because he's only on one page in his forgettable white guy phase, I chose not to make major changes in his appearance between those panels and later when he appears as his true self, because that's a bit more confusing than it needs to be in the graphic novel edition. He's rather glamorous as the essence of Pollution, though. No reference needed.

Dog is a dog.

While I do give every detail a lot of thought, I am sure other people have other opinions. I understand that, and hope you enjoy what I do anyway.

Reactions to Crazier Bastard's Chapter 312

Brief summary: Dark Bear is a mutant NPC. Cale scams DB into becoming his subordinate. Cale's group meets a former hero.

The 7th Evil, Hell of Time, is a collection of fairy tales with cruel sides

The 3rd Evil, Hell of Darkness, was the most heinous and notorious place among the Eight Evils, with the most deaths recorded

Dark Bear is a mutant NPC, which is an odd NPC that occasionally appeared because of a loophole in the system

Mutant NPCs can speak well, and travel anywhere

Count Lupe II is a mutant NPC too

Dark Bear actually works as a messenger to convey Neo's will, and is a boss in title only, meaning other bosses look down on him

Cursed blood for a demon means having the blood of a demon's enemy, mainly the blood of the divine race, or a god

Because the two bloods are incompatible, it can cause pain and be fatal to the half-demon

If Cale's half-demon with cursed blood setting was not chuunibyou enough, Cale was now a half-demon and half-angel/god... 🤣🤣🤣 I had read some comments on the previous chapter, so I wanted to clarify that this was all made up by the system AI, One. This was the setting the AI gave Cale for his NPC account. Cale is not really a half-demon... I think? 😂

Because of the Hell of Darkness's reputation, DB was seriously scared of Cale who was its hidden boss. The chapter did not explain why he was scared of demons though.

Count Lupe II had the nickname, Ghost of Darkness. I had some confusion about this nickname because the Korean word "gwishin" meant ghost, but Lupe was a demon, right? In Korean, gwisin was generally a ghost, and could either be good or evil. Japanese folklore called them "kishin", and had a more evil spirit or demon side to them.

To note was the numbering of the Eight Evils did not meant a hierarchical power ranking, but was more their order of appearance.

Moving on, it was funny how scared DB was of Cale, and only the kids could comfort him and calm him down. And when Cale tried to calm down DB, it only worsened DB's state. 😂😂😂 There was also this scene:

DB: *talks about how the Hell of Darkness is the most evil and realizes Cale was its hidden boss* I-It's not that! I'm not badmouthing the 3rd Evil! O-Of the Eight Evils, it is the greatest! Cale: Yes, yes. I am the greatest Evil. CH and the kids: *looks at Cale strangely* Hong: *shakes head in disbelief*

DB also began praising the Hell of Darkness, to the extent that Raon muttered that Clopeh was a better speaker than DB. 😂

DB: *explains what cursed blood is* Everyone: *silent* The kids: *stares at Cale with wide open eyes as if very interested* CH: *looks at Cale as if he was a puppy that got into an accident somewhere* Cale: (No- This time, I really didn't do anything! The system AI, One, was the one who registered me like this! It's not my fault!)

DB then misunderstood that Cale was planning to takeover and become the hidden boss of the 7th Evil too, like how he was with the 3rd Evil. Cale took advantage of the misunderstanding, scamming DB into becoming his subordinate, and promising to make DB as the new boss of the 7th Evil like Count Lupe was the boss of the 3rd Evil.

Come to think of it, I mistook DB as the previous lord of the 7th Evil. That was just a mistranslation caused by MTL. Sorry about that.

DB guided the group to Neo's house where the control point was located. And Cale learned that the control point was going to be used to connect Aipotu and the New World. It was also a conglomeration of powers, an explosive trigger, that would soon destroy 80% of Aipotu.

I found it funny that the Dragon Lord's house was made of sweets, like the house in the Hansel and Gretel fairy tale. 😂 And it had a knight as a gatekeeper, who was a corrupted former hero.

Ending Remarks Cale's scam was a success and he gained a new follower. Next chapter would be the fight between Gisk and CH. One told Cale to find a hero, but she did not say to only find one, right? Would Cale save this former hero from corruption?

Stop Kicking Elain out of the NC

She doesn't want to go. She doesn't want to leave her family. The cauldron turning her into high fae was unfortunate, but in typical Elain fashion (my favorite quality of hers) she made the best of a terrible situation and adapted to her new home, her new body, her new life. She has friends. She glows with health. She is mending the relationship with her sisters. The male she loves is there.

Why would she want to leave?

And if anyone brings up the fact that Cassian said she couldn't pull off a black dress - I swear to god I'll be convinced you've never read a book before. Cassian, the Miranda Priestley of Velaris, declaring Elain doesn't look good in black does not mean she is being rejected by the Night Court.

Do people not read? Did you not read how Nesta had to stand out to be Eris-bait, and if Elain, gorgeous, sweet, with beauty-that-could-bring-a-king-to-his-knees Elain was done up like the rest of them, the chances of Eris following after Nesta would have been slim? They had to make her look muted, to purposefully fade her into the background. That is ALL.

Now let's get into the even worse arguments for booting Elain out of the NC. Specifically,

She belongs in Spring (with Lucien)

She belongs in Day (with Lucien)

She belongs in Autumn (with Lucien)

Do you see what all those have in common (other than being surface level awful arguments)? They all center around Lucien. Who currently, Elain avoids like the plague. But I'm getting ahead of myself, lets go one by one, slow and steady:

Elain does NOT belong in spring

Why is this a thing, even? Because she likes flowers and Feyre said "oh elain would like it here?" That's it? Are we reducing people down to their hobbies now? Nesta likes books, should she also move to Day? Mor likes...wine I guess, should she move into a tavern? Amren likes puzzles, ship her to Dawn? Azriel likes Elain, let's put him in the Prison??

Or, oh wait, Tamlin should lose his court and Elain and Lucien will rule? How. Genuinely, how? Lucien is already an heir to Day Court & Autumn Court. How would the magic pick him of all people if Tamlin somehow dies/gives up his court? Wouldn't it pick someone...of Spring Court descent?

P.S Flowers also grow in the Night Court.

Make it make sense.

2. Elain does NOT belong in Day

First of all, right now, nobody knows about Lucien's parentage except for Feyre/Rhys and LoA (maybe). Helion doesn't know. Lucien himself does not know.

For Lucien to become high lord of Day, y'all realize Helion would have to die, right? Why would you ever kill off such an icon? And even if he just casually lives there while Helion still rules...a lot of things would have to happen for this to occur, like: Lucien's parentage is revealed, Helion accepts him as his heir, likely a blood duel between Beron/Helion over LoA, If Beron wins THEN Lucien becomes HL of Day, but if Helion wins then Eris becomes HL of Autumn...all of this would have to be covered in one book before they can even think about moving to Day and living happily ever after. You know, if Elain ever actually gives him the time of...day.

Don't even give me the "but Elain needs sunlight"!!

P.S. The NC also gets sunlight

Elain is not a plant. She does not undergo photosynthesis and need to go to the Day Court to physically be alive. Elain does not need light she IS the light. What's not clicking folks? Her name literally means LIGHT. Some variations say fawn/deer, but mainly she is light.

3. Elain does NOT belong in Autumn

This argument is more rare, but I don't understand it either. Why would she go live in Autumn as the reluctant mate to the 7th son of the awful Autumn HL? Autumn court cannot be this interesting to y'all, that you would be totally okay with not hearing from feyre/rhys/nesta/cassian/any of the IC, just to read a story about Elain avoiding Lucien in different climate/setting? Autumn exists in the NC too, you guys. She can ignore him when the leaves change color there, just as much.

And all of this, is only centered around Lucien. Because if you just asked this sweet flower child what she wanted, I can guarantee you, her answer would be to stay right where she is: home.

If she weren't mated to Lucien, would you still be sending her away to Spring/Day/Autumn?

This isn't even a ship thing at this point, like...Lucien doesn't currently have a home right now? Why are we tearing Elain away from her home to go live with a mate she does not want? If Elucien ever did get together, it would make so much more sense for Lucien to just move to the NC instead. Because Elain sure as hell is not going to live in her ex-fiance's manor, far away from her sisters, with a mate she didn't ask for and his rude bestie who literally made a r*pe joke about her (yeah, not understanding the Jurian & Lucien friendship here either).

Stop kicking my girlie out of the night court. She's staying where she belongs. If she leaves, it will be her choice. Not because her mate lives somewhere else. Not because she likes flowers. If she stays, it will be because that is her choice.

time and time again me and my astrology friends have noted that Gojo Satoru is "the stereotypical Sagittarius" according to the tropical astrology - you know the larger than life personality, the "teacher" and the classic funny guy who is known to not commit to women (still not expressively seen in the mangas or anime itself). Moreover his technique is very jupiturian in it's own way - expansive and divine, note the word divine because he has actually quoted few religious and spiritual references during major rebirths of his ( gojo vs toji arc ) and if you don't know what that is I suggest you to read the mangas or maybe wait for the season 2 of the anime. but today i'll be discussing on the sidereal astrological significations of Gojo, the strongest and show you how he embodies this nakshatras and their archetypes surprisingly well.

Gojo satoru is born on the 7th of December 1989 and because i was unaware of any specified birth place i searched up the location of the actual Gojo Shrine which is in Tokyo. Gojo is known to be a kuge family descendant of the sugawara clan, which dominated the imperial courts in kyoto during the heian period.

Sun in Jyeshtha nakshatra

the vedic astrology system uses the current planetary placements in the cosmos thus it is 24 degrees late than the tropical zodiac as vedic astrology uses sidereal calculations.

He is the strongest fighter, the strongest sorcerer - sidereal scorpio's ruling planet mars' raw strength matching with the nakshatra lord mercury in magic and sorcery as mercury is between the air and earth realms - between the heaven and the earth. He is the teacher now teaching the basics and essentials of the jujutsu society. he is the head, the King and is supposed to know better than other because no one is above the God King.

Satoru is known to eat sweets, he has a sweet tooth just like how Indra indulges in Soma rasha before wars because it fuels him adds vigor - Gojo consuming sweets to stimulate his brain but ultimately getting a sweet tooth - which unsurprisingly Indra is known to be a very regular customer of Soma aswell.

It's surprising how the nakshatras manifest through characters. More info in future. I don't think i'll be considering the moon sign and the rest of the chart yet as we know very little of gojo satoru even though the significant events of his past does strongly show his moon nakshatra purva bhadrapada where one has no limitations and is free but needs to reign themselves in to pass through the spiritual tests and attain self mastery. i think i'll be making another post on that later on.

I've been working on Jungkook's FS chart for a long time right now and I got somethings to say but I also want you opinion about it since you are analysing jk's chart :

So I think she is a cancer dominant for sure this is something I think we all agree about

His spouse is going to be famous it's that leo fama in his BPC and his 7th house Lord is in his 10th house and in his natal chart fama conjunct briede in his 7th house so I think that's clear enough

She is a Gemini Venus hands down , Gemini venus is in his BPC and in his DC chart and I always got the vibe that she has venus-pluto aspects so she is a Sagittarius pluto ( and here we say sorry for all the people who were born after 2008😭) so she is born between 1995-2008 and she has venus opposite Pluto , and if she is a Gemini Venus that will make her and jk have a compatible Venus signs , libra and Gemini and that's totally great in term of relationship I think 🤷, I also got the vibe that she has venus-lilith aspects

I got that vibe of virgo rising or sometimes a Virgo moon or both or some Virgo placements for sure I don't know but I can sense that virgo energy everytime I do a tarot reading about her energy I don't know if it's true but that virgo moon in his DC chart and Virgo rising in his BPC are things that we can't ignore right? And if she is a Virgo moon then her moon will conjunct his moon and conjunct his sun if it's in close degrees and what should I say about that 🥹, and if we think about it well if she has a Virgo rising then she has a Gemini MC and if her Venus is in Gemini there's a huge possibility that she has venus conjunct MC and that's a great indicator of fame or artistic vibe so she maybe will be known for something related to art or music or writing songs with the Gemini here and jk himself got this aspect so maybe 🤔

The only planet that I didn't know what sign it will probably be is her mars some people will say Gemini mars I totally get that but I don't think a Gemini mars will work well with Scorpio mars ? Maybe a cancer mars 🤔 who knows 🤷

Fashion is Political

Fashion in the 70's, 80's, and 90's was hugely political both in the UK and USA. Goths, punks, preps... It was an entire identity. I didn't paint my nails black, dye my brown hair with translucent red or purple highligts, and wear mesh layers just for the aesthetic, it was an entire philosophy that had political, moral, and social ideas baked into the culture those clothes represented. When I wore a yellow sundress, a hat that hid the highlights, and stripped the color from my nails to visit certain relatives it was because that was a Sundown Town and the ideas represented by the counter-culture I belonged to very well could get me hurt when walking around alone. Yes, I look entirely white (got some Japanese but so far back it doesn't show, and I'm basically French and Bulgarian) but that kind of conservatism didn't (and still doesn't) take kindly to those who support the queers, freaks, and weirdos.

And it's still true, if not quite as much as it used to be. Social cliques still dress alike, but it isn't as quietly political the same way it was then. People don't seem to associate fashion with a political statement using style as much as they use modesty and cleanliness, but it could be that I've just become Officially Old now that I've got a stripe of white in my hair. It seems a bit more on the nose these days, or more accurately on the head. I have a lovely bright red knit newsboy hat I had to stop wearing around 2016-17.

Yeah, but so what?

Fashion changes over time, so let's start with some 1970's makeovers and work our way to the 90's!

The Marauders Prequel: Kinktomato, and all the similar disclaimers, but I respectfully disagree entirely with giving Sirius, James, or any of the other marauders a Punk aesthetic. Sorry JKR, but what you have James and Sirius wear in your prequel needs a tweak. Sure, they wanted to fight against 'traditionalists' which sounds like it's punk... until you realize that the Light was the status quo before Tom came to power. The Order of the Phoenix is a vigilante group working to protect the Establishment and prevent change. Yes, realizing that while reading the 7th book hurt me in my heart too.

I have to throw JKR a bone about her recent nonsense, but she's right in the manner of a broken clock that the rebellious counter-culture going on in the Wizarding World was being backed by the Traditional Family Values set. The politics in the Wizarding World do not match up well with the real world, mostly because if you think too much about it the political aims of the Death Eaters implode. For blood purity, leader is a half-blood who hates the rich and treats the high society types with deep contempt; were not in power and had to have a guerrilla movement, members included half the House of Lords. You can't square those circles, so we get the Light Preppy types like the Marauders and the Dark Preppy types like Draco Malfoy, and then we have the punks and the goths who are the outcasts and queers that get indoctrinated into one or the other set. Don't blame me, I didn't write the books.

The Marauders should look a bit like The Monkees.

James and Sirius were not in with the queers and freaks, they did not read dark poetry in black clothing with sharp lines and heavy makeup that obscured bruises, they were Preppy Jocks and bullies picking on the outsiders. Remus Lupin might be 'one of the good people' who got wizard AIDS, but he's at best masking to fit in with a powerful social group for protection. The black leather with the rocker band t-shirts look? No, no. Put that boy in a polo shirt and chinos. Give him a cable-knit sweater or a blazer over a robe. (And many people do give these things to Professor Lupin, but I mean from the jump.) They'd all be clean-cut, perfectly groomed, and wearing light colors because their political movement is literally called The Light. Black T-shirts with a phoenix on them? No ma'am. White or yellow shirt, embroidered (or screen print to look like embroidery) phoenix. Yellow blazer jacket on top with creamy muggle trousers in a high-water boot cut to show off expensive white or tan boots. (The high-water boot cut on the trousers are muggle 1960's, but wizards lag behind on muggle trends.)

Moving on to the Dark Side

Snape's our punk, or maybe a broody goth gremlin reading poetry books. All via thrift-shop [charity shop] finds, of course. The set of upper-class future Death Eaters he eventually starts to hang out with would have started out in clean-cut expensive dark-colored robes, but might have embraced a morbid aesthetic, as we see Bellatrix wear in the movies. This would be a case of convergent evolution in a sense.

Snape dressed like that due to the poverty and muggle influences in his life, and I headcanon that he liked to visit a record shop and stim his autistic brain with niche experimental music just like I used to at that age, but the morbid and shocking aspects of Goth or Punk aesthetics parallel with Voledmort's completely unrelated skull and snake symbol inspiring trends among his more loyal followers, who are rich enough to be trend setters and social influencers.

Snape very well might have made friends with those awful boys because they liked the casual clothes he started to wear on weekends once his mum started tossing some money at him and telling him to get his own shopping done so she could get back to her crossword puzzle (or maybe he got a summer job at a bakery.) Snape chose that look because if he's styled punk (violent) or goth (morbid) the rips his father puts in his clothes when he gets tossed around are there on purpose and it's just a nice coincidence that the stains in the second-hand clothes he gets on clearance at the charity shop get hidden by the cheap black dye he uses to get that grey and black look. This way, it is not just because he can't afford better and washes both himself and his clothing in the same portable tin washtub.

This convergence was accidental, but the artfully tattered cloaks and general look of the Death Eaters in the movies is something I can get behind - minus the Victorian trousers on the men, of course. The movies make the clothes way too muggle especially for the pure-blood set! Regulus Black spent nearly a hundred galleons getting a robe made of the finest linen and fur, snipped and cut so artfully to look like it was moth-eaten and torn even though every edge is properly hemmed and trimmed with a bit of lace that merely looks like a frayed edge.

Then Voldemort got Blown up

Look, the actress has red hair and a preppy lavender top - it's too perfect a reference image for Lily Potter nee Evans in a fashion post.

The morbid aesthetic that was so popular in the late 70's doesn't just go out of fashion, it is jettisoned like the toothbrush mustache. Yeeted from a seaside cliff. Dropped in a ditch full of burning petrol. Abandoned at the side of the road in a bag. Morbid? Don't know her.

Draco Malfoy, as I earlier teased, wears the fashion of the Dark upper class. Flowing perfectly tailored robes with a rope belt. Crisp and clean lines, no jagged edges or anything to even suggest aggression. 90's pure-blood fashion is soft. For the girls, more color, but we are going to backpedal so hard nobody will ever think we were associated with that guy we don't name. Draco Malfoy's non-uniform robes are like spun clouds, opulent and decadent in beautiful pristine velvet, shining satin, and resplendent metallic embroidery. While Snape and the generation of men older than him now wear waistcoats over their robes to look proper and all buttoned up, Draco's set is all about looking sleek, clean, and comfortably ready for a dramatic breeze. I don't think there is a large difference between what boys and girls wear, the gendering is all in the accessories and embellishments. Lace for girls, metallic piping for boys.

I'm talking flowy, I'm feeling swishy, I'm saying that 'looks like a dress' was a completely fair take from Harry's perspective. Yes the above characters are female and Frieren herself wears a lot of white, but you get the idea. The Dark Lord is dead, we need a rebrand yesterday. More lighter colors even for Dark-aligned [read:Tory, Conservative] families. No evil here! Nope, nope nope.

Harry is a Self-fulfilling Prophesy in More Ways than One

Harry accidentally has a hand in this trend in his earlier years, since he is wearing Dudley's castoffs and he's incredibly famous. Baggy is in! Just relax, chill, be comfortable. Dress like you just don't care what you look like. (You know, pandemic style.) He wears jeans, and probably most of his bottoms are jeans. They are one of the most durable things any boy Dudley's age would wear, and so wouldn't be as destroyed as the rest of his wardrobe by the time Harry got his hands on it no matter how hard Duds is on the trendy fast fashion clothing Petunia buys him. Petunia, a social climber, is set on making sure her family looks like the next rung up on the social ladder after all.

Later, when we can assume Harry has bought at least one wizard outfit that isn't his school uniform if he's got enough money on hand to buy Omnoculars, he's probably taken his fashion cues from himself indirectly. He likely gets his advice from Hermione and Ron, who get their fashion sense from looking at their peers, who get their fashion sense from... the trend of super casual heavily muggle-influenced baggy clothing in mismatched colors that Harry started as a first year.

Bit harder to find male examples than female ones, but that's fashion gifs on Tumblr.

Shorter robes with jeans underneath - or knee-high socks or dhoti style trousers in blue heather fabric that look like jeans provided you have never seen jeans before in your life. Open, short robes over closed-front ones, aping an overlarge muggle jacket over a robe. Floppy shapeless clothes held on with an overlarge leather belt. Squashy hand-knit jumpers. Girls in the Lighter political side also take cues from muggle women's fashion, which is more form-fitting than traditional wixan wear and shows off the legs. In the muggle world, this is the time of the babydoll dress, slim-cut trousers/jeans, and tightly tailored suit skirts for women.

Imagine way, way, way more gold embroidery on the above dresses.

And, because I can, because it's headcanon time, 90's Indian/ Bollywood fashion influence on the Light side after James Potter is martyred because #Indian Harry Potter is real and I love him. Music, clothing, art, it is in style among those who honor James and Lily's sacrifice. Harry's green eyes looks so bright next to chestnut brown skin. He can speak to snakes because his ancestry includes a bit of naga blood, not because of the Horcrux. Petunia certainly never taught him about it, and he's confused when an especially devoted fan sends him blessings addressed to Hindu gods instead of the Christian or pagan ones he hears about more often at Hogwarts. One of the Patil twins asks him what's wrong with him expecting, from his attitude and excitement about Christmas, that he's a devout Christian who hates his dark skin. Then they monopolize some of the time he's not teaching the D.A. or in detention to Educate That Boy.

We've done 2 sessions on them from the Heteronormative perspective, so far, in Conversion Class, just because that's the material we have to teach from. So our Rabbi was really excited that the first one we actually got to experience was an MLM wedding- and we were all excited, too.

The couple that was getting married was the couple who actually does all of the tanning and processing of hides for the parchment our Synagogue makes out of Kosher Roadkill. I've met them a few times, and they're such lovely people. I was so happy to be able to go to their wedding; they chose this super lovely "Mushroom and Sage" woodland theme, and their Chuppah was a bunch of actual sticks, with rainbow handprints on their Tallit canopy 😭

One of them has a daughter who is just so lovely and full of energy. I love her to bits and pieces every time I see her. She was dressed as a "Ring Bear". When she was finally released to go, she zoomed up the Isle, ha. Then she got to the point where she was supposed to give the rings, and couldn't decide which parent to actually give the rings to. Finally picks one, gets halfway to him, then decided nah, turns around, and zooms to the other parent instead 🤣 It was so cute.

When they did the circling, it was so sweet. The way they looked at each other was so heart melting; Partner A circled Partner B 3 times, then Partner B circled Partner A 3 times, and then for the 7th they put their hands together and circled each other.

After they read the Ketubah (and the other one- basically a prenuptial, I think? I can't remember what it's called now, though), they did a formal adoption ceremony for the daughter, where Partner B formally adopted her as his own. Then they did a name change ceremony so that her Hebrew name was formally changed to reflect her new father 😭 We all almost cried over that.

They had her break the first glass after the naming ceremony. Then they broke their own individual glasses at the same time.

The dancing afterwards was so much fun. I didn't participate because I was already sore- and honestly, probably a good thing, given how much pain I was in yesterday. But it was lovely to sit there and watch and clap, and sing, and everything. Then they led Shabbat Service together; they had such incredible singing voices, and I loved the way they led service. We weren't invited to the wedding / Shabbat dinner after service (understandable!), so we left after and grabbed Sonic on the way home.

It was such an incredible experience. And I got to meet someone else who was very clearly disabled and into vintage, and was also a Cane user. So I don't feel as alone in my community anymore, now that I finally know I'm not the only disabled one my age; it felt good meeting so many more people from my community in general now, too, finally. Ahhhh. I didn't feel nearly as out of place this time. It's slow going, but it's going, and I'm starting to feel better 💜 I love my community so much (and more and more, each time I get to go).

If you're fine then congratulations! haha. Making these kind of decisions isn't usually easy.

Transit is not a technique that works the way most people think it works. When ancient astrologers talked about transits they were usually talking about the overlap of the solar revolution chart and the nativity. If your solar return (SR) has a planet on the sign of your natal 7th house, then that planet is transiting your 7th this year. The kind of transit that you're refering to will only be relevant if the planets involved are relevant for you this year, if at least one is the current time lord.

But there's also other techniques, like primary directions or progressions (this last one more recent and less used by traditional astrologers) that can show important changes in life. The presence of these can show bigger and more impactful life-altering events than the ones only indicated by the SR.

I have an example of this in my own life: I had my biggest break up and the passing of my maternal grandmother happen on the year when Venus was the time lord by profection (12th house profection). Besides the 12th, Venus also rules my 7th house, which has to do with partners and also the maternal grandmother. On the SR that year, Mars was on top of/transiting my natal Venus, which indicates severing, separation. It doesn't help that my Venus is in the 8th, and the fact that it's in a dual/mutable sign can indicate doubling, more than one thing being signified, and of course, there were two events in the same month indicated by the same configuration/transit. The fact that I'm ruled by Mars can mean I had agency in at least one of the events: I broke up with him. But in primary directions you could also see Venus was finally setting in the western sky. Big events, changes or transitions happen when you see planets reaching and passing an angle in primary directions, and the setting of a planet usually means endings.

I could take a quick look at your chart to see if I can easily identify something if you want. And if you're interested I'm available for full readings.

In terms of potential, I'm not quite sure. My first thought was Draco (Duh) mostly because I wish so badly that they kept the scene in the final movie where he threw his wand to Harry. That alone would probably do so much for his character, and I am very likely going to do something with it in the fic. Plus the whole really weird hug with Voldy thing, kinda seems like Voldy is trying to have a relationship with him that parallels Harry and Dumbledore's. Anyway, Draco's SO uncomfortable all the time in 7th, it makes me very excited to get to it :) I also think Narcissa is pretty interesting since she kinda parallels Lily, and the fact she lied to the Dark Lord TO HIS FACE and protected Harry...I know I make Narcissa out to be just a very overbearing mother (and bad cook) but I hope to make Draco see the other sides to her later on, when he gets his head out of his ass. For now, she's sort of just comic relief, but there are some things set up in the very first years that will come back in the later years.

(also i REALLY need to add neville in some more--thematically he's super important, but he just doesn't get that much screen time yet. I'll have to think more about how to integrate him, but definitely he will appear more in 3rd w/ other characters. Other characters I plan to include are Cedric, Luna, maybe Cho? Draco would probably blackmail Lockhart into taking the gun and shooting Umbridge twice. He isn't stupid enough to try to kill Voldemort with a gun (are the horcruxes around in this hypothetical?also Voldy lived in like. WWII? Although he's ignorant of love magic stuff, he is probably deeply aware of the dangers of Muggle weapons, which maybe relates to his desire to conquer them) but Draco would love Umbridge dead, and he'd want more blackmail on Lockhart lol. The man's main fear is losing his reputation so that's probably a better punishment than death. If it's sixth year Draco he might just shoot himself though

I have mentioned that Draco doesn't want to date as a minor or date minors even if physically the same age due to the weird age gap/time question thing (a really big issue in isekai/transmigration imo, and the bit of this fic that makes me want to just make it platonic--seriously. I read one where this grown man DATED A SEVEN YEAR OLD B/C HE WAS IN A CHILD'S BODY??) but Harry will obviously not be thinking about that since for all he knows, they're both normal kids. Can venus placements show where a guy will meet his spouse?

This is a new series that I wanted to try because when I would read people's charts I would always find out how they meet their spouse by at least 90 percent of the time.

In the beginning I was bad at this stuff but now I'm pretty good. I learned fast in 2021 that finding out how someone meets their spouse cannot be reliant on a jupiter a venus placement so as of today I don't even use it. Yet I am still successful with the results.

You gotta think also using that method is bad because someone may end up becoming a homosexual. Then they marry someone of the same sex. Which at least 95 percent of astrologers will miss. I come across lots of videos of people saying jupiter and venus can show how someone meets his or her spouse. I want to do a research study and I think it's great content.

Let's start with Will Smith and his chart is a perfect example as to why the tropical and sidereal charts do not even show the same thing especially when it comes to meeting a spouse.

First Let's look at his sidereal chart instantaneously once I see the 7th lord or ruler in the 4th house. I know tons of ways how he met his spouse. One way is in his home, vehicles, residence or the state he was born in. Surprisingly he met both of his wives in the country he was born but it's still not a definite answer.

Today.com had the information and you can see he met his first spouse through his friend actually. Yes he went to meet Jada through the introduction of friends but instead he met his first wife. Which is funny right because he was gonna meet Jada the same exact way he met his first wife?

Ok in 1994 he legitimately met Jada and in his sidereal chart venus is in the 6th house of jobs. He met Jada at his job called the fresh prince of bel Air as proven in this article by peoples magazine.

Here's the catch though venus in his tropical chart is not in the 6th house.

In fact nothing really shows will Smith meeting his spouse in the ways he actually met them. The closest placement in his tropical chart you can say is his 7th lord being in the 4th house.He met Jada in a home environment but was it actually really his home? If you get what I'm saying. Unless he actually lived on the set, which is pretty common for actors to do. Yes wherever you stay even temporarily for a residence falls under the 4th house. It could even be for a week

This means his tropical chart is useless in determining how he met any of his wives. Unless he actually really lived on set. I guess with venus being in the 5th house and the 5th house having to do with stage play, performing arts, entertainment and I guess acting in this case. Yet it's still not definite answer like if you paid me money just to say that you wouldn't even believe what I'm saying.

Unless the venus aspect on to the 11th house is why he met them through his friends. See this is too sporadic, erratic and not concrete enough for me to tell a person that had sent me money this type stuff. Which is why I would rarely use a venus placement to do this.

If I look at his moon chart there is a similar placement in their that shows meeting his spouse in a home like setting.

A part from that. The 7th lord is in his 11th house so you can see how he met his wife through his friends in the moon chart.In his moon chart venus is in the 1st house and obviously he met Jada in person. If you think about it the moon chart shows better ways of how he met both of his wives. Let's focus on the sidereal chart and the venus placement it's in his 6th house of jobs so I guess the venus placement worked in this case.

Had will went to an astrologer who only reads tropical before he met his first wife. To find out how he would actually meet his first wife. Then he would've gotten it wrong. Let's say I was alive at that time then I would've gotten it correct because I don't even like using tropical nowadays to find out how someone meets their spouse. For reasons exactly like this.

Now Imagine a close friend of yours suddenly wearing your same style of clothing after not seeing them for a long time, would you not be creeped tf out? I must emphasize this is not a bf/gf or a spouse, this is just your friend suddenly dressing like you when they've never done that before and their sense of fashion isn't even remotely similar to yours, be honest, would you not find that just a little bit OFF?

Only in Boruto would Sarada see Boruto completely Sasukefied and not question it, and only would Boruto see Sarada wearing his style of clothes and not question it, but thank god for Kawaki being the only realistic character in this sequel who pointed out how fkin weird it is.

Like Im sorry even tho this is fiction that is a HUGE elephant in the room you cant possibly not address, but only in Boruto would you see them do just that.

Aanyway Im glad its confirmed now that Ikemoto is the one writing and not Kishimoto like majority of us already knew, it would've been really disappointing if Kishimoto was the one massacring their characters like this, but Im glad our intuition was right that no matter how bad Kishimotos writing may be at times it was never THIS bad.

Im not even a fan of Boruto's but even I think its tragic and ridiculous what Ikemoto has done to him, Sarada too, its actually insane how night and day the writing is from when Kodachi was writing and after he left, they are like two completely different stories when you compare it now, so the reveal that yea once Kodachi left Ikemoto has been writing full time isn't a surprise because it showed without it even having to be said, thats how you know the writing quality had to be BAD anytime you could immediately tell something was off.

Kishimoto/Kodachi's vision was vastly different than Ikemotos, that much is VERY apparent, and hey Im all for letting him have some creative freedom since Kishimoto did hand him the sequel but there's creative freedom, and then there's just doing whatever tf you want with someone else's legacy just because Kishimoto is too uninvested in this sequel to stop him.

Its honestly sad seeing Kishimoto and Kodachis vision be trampled on like this just because Kishimoto rightfully has no interest in this sequel and therefore doesn't invest a ton of time and effort into really overseeing the story and direction, he just looks over what Ikemoto writes, maybe comments on some things, but gives him the greenlight regardless because this is IKEMOTOS sequel, because had Ikemoto not had taken on doing the sequel himself Kishimoto had no intentions on doing it, he said he was done with Naruto for now and he meant it, so you cant even blame him for not being that invested in the story and what happens because he said from the very beginning this isn't what he wanted, so it makes sense he's leaving the story primarily done by Ikemoto with just some minor input here and there and thats it.

All this could've been avoided if higher ups just respected Kishimoto's wishes about not wanting a sequel, but instead we get essentially Naruto GT.

I cant answer for you, but the only reason Im still reading atp is because I've invested so much time into it already that I might as well finish it, its my unwritten rule that if I get far enough in something that I should just finish it regardless of how bad it is. The reason I stuck by as long as I did before I reached this point was because I wanted to see how my faves, Sarada, Kawaki, and Mitsuki would develop, I wanted to see what caused the FF, and I wanted to see the interesting future Sarada and Sasuke were supposedly gonna have.

But now? Im just here to finish what I started, Im not enjoying this manga anymore, Im not optimistic about it improving, Im just gonna see it through. This doesn't mean I suddenly hate my faves nor or that I hate Boruto in general, no, let me be very clear.

I hate IKEMOTO'S Boruto, Kishimoto's was fine, Kodachi's was fine, Ikemoto's is abysmal.

Honestly with this confirmation you could pretty much say this really is Naruto GT since its not written by the original creator, Toriyama also had some mild involvement with GT but it wasn't a canon sequel to DBZ since it was mainly created by someone else, so you might as well call Boruto Naruto GT atp cuz thats how tf it feels and tbh? I'd welcome that because at least then, like GT, we don't have to acknowledge it as a official sequel and canon events that happened after Naruto that completely destroyed its legacy, it can just exist as a non-canon 'what if' scenario.

Ngl tho but it is hella weird that Ikemoto's vision is a heavily sexualized Sarada obsessing over a guy and her entire life revolves around him, and some weird chad protag Sasuke clone all the ladies want gary stu power fantasy is a weird hill to die on as a writer If Im bein honest, that sounds like a weird self insert fanfic just sayin.

About a while ago, a good friend of mine pointed out that my characters reminded them of the main characters in the new MiHoYo game; [Honkai: Star Rail] With screenshots to support.

Feeling flattered and inspired. I've decided to do a simple drawing of my characters posing as such with some alterations. The picture below is the reference;

The idea was really cute and the general vibe of the main cast does remind me of my own characters. Sadie is Stelle, Jamie is March 7th and Hector is Dan Heng.

I decided to give them color-matching clothes but of various patterns just cause I wanted to try different looks. This color bar is very special and although I only use 3 of the main colors, I did still use the remaining 2. By the way,

As much as I have known of the world and fanart of Genshin and now, Star Rail. I know I definitely won't play this game due to its limitless nature cause Lord knows that I can't help myself.

I do however love its character designs~ At the moment, I really like how cool Kafka is. She has so much Mommy Dom energy! The main character; Stelle is also a beautifully designed MC and I was told that she/ they are a huge flirt towards other playable characters and has a thing for trash cans?
