in your original timeline, the sorcerer had known he never had much of a chance compared to the brothers that you lived with in the house of lamentation.
compared to the 7 demon brothers, who you had a close-knit relationship with, and who you'd formed pacts with because of your unwavering tenacity and kind heart, who was he to compete for your affection against them?
when possible, he constantly grabbed the chance to give you the comfort of another human. he knows it better than everyone elseー how lonely it gets being the only human in a place filled with otherworldly beings.
he felt that it was all he could give you that the brothers couldn't, anyway.
the great sorcerer, solomon the wise, constantly reduced to a sulking mess whenever you'd rejected his plans due to the brothers always coming first in your eyes.
whether it being levi needing a player 2, or asmo needing a lab rat for his new cosmetics, he'd always been pushed aside for the brothers.
when everything was turned on it's head, and when the both of you were sent to another timeline, he saw this as his chance.
he felt too guilty taking advantage of a situation as painful as this (to you, at least.) as a chance to gain your affections away from the overprotective brothers.
he feels only an iota of guilt in his heart when you visit his bed chambers at night, afraid to sleep alone, and tearing up due to missing the brothersー your version of them, at least.
softly, he runs his hand through your hair, and strokes it, as if he was soothing you. you quickly fall asleep next to him, his warmth only serving as extra comfort to you, and he stares.
how long can he keep doing this? how long can he have you? before everything is back to normal? before he's back to playing second fiddle? he knows this game of house won't last forever.
but, for now, he'll treasure it.
he'll treasure coming home with you, groceries in hand, and cooking dinner together in the kitchen.
he'll treasure doing laundry with you, making a mess of the floor in the process as you splash water at each-other.
he'll treasure your movie nights, where you're cuddled close to him because of the cheesy devildom horror movie he (purposefully) picked out.
before he loses it, he'll treasure it all. he'll keep it close to his heart, as the one thing he refuses to have ruined.
solomon shuts his eyes, dreaming of a universe where both of you come home to each other everyday, where he isn't second to the brothers, and he falls into a deep sleep.

Just started playing Skyrim as Edward Elric, here's a few highlights of my run and the Lore:
I'm playing on legendary survival mode because Ed's life sucks <3
One of the essential goals is to level alchemy up to 100. I will also be playing as a mage (which I've never done before so this should be interesting)
I'm not allowed to kill ANY PERSON. Not even bandits. Because Ed's a staunch pacifist so the 'people death' counter stays at zero for as long as humanly possible if not the entire playthrough. This is only for people, though, so draugr, animals, monsters, robots etc don't count. (I'm not sure where dragons land on that but I've already killed one so I guess it's too late to ponder it)
Also im not allowed to use soul gems. Those are functionally philosopher's stones, so Ed's not keen on that
I will also not be using any shrines/amulets because Ed's an atheist
Only steel and iron weapons! He's the Fullmetal Alchemist after all. Preferably one-handed weapons, as the sword arm is his go-to.
Enchantments are allowed (outside of soul trap for obvious reasons) as long as they come with the weapon when I find it, and I can't recharge them or make my own since I can't use soul gems
Leather armor because Ed wears leather in canon. Presently looking for a red outfit that looks anything like his coat. I'm thinking the vampire armor will be my best bet
I've got no mods otherwise I'd add a dwarven centurion follower and have that be my Al
As it stands, though, I've come up with a story that Al is functionally dead but Ed can summon his soul to fight for him in the form of conjuration spells. So far I've been summoning 'Al' as a wolf familiar and even a storm atronach when I found a scroll for it
(I considered dressing a follower up in armor so that they can be 'Al'. Still thinking about it but i kinda like the conjuration thing)
Ed's 'journey' lore wise is researching the Dwemer, since he thinks their disappearance could be related to Al's body being gone. I'll be reading every book possible about the Dwemer and researching every possible Dwemer ruin when I find it (I don't know a lot about the Dwemer anyway so me and Ed both are learning Together)
I'm also gonna be going to hermaeus mora's creepy realm cuz that's probably the closest to the truth dimension im gonna get (I've never finished that quest before this is gonna be fun)
I've got no Winry stand in but every time I upgrade my armor and weapons I pretend I'm stopping by Rush Valley or smth. Winry is there in spirit
I will be punching every godlike being in the face whenever humanly possible because that's what Edward Elric would do
That's it so far, I'll keep you updated on what's going on with the pipsqueak as i go along✌️

do you paint traditionally? i think your art style would look beautiful in oils. theres some pieces of yours i look at and think: one day i will see this artist in a museum! not that that wouldnt happen with your digital art too.
First of all this is incredibly sweet and made my put my hands on my face. Thank you!
And I do paint traditionally! I haven't for a few months now that I've moved away and I no longer have the time nor the space to (I'm not studying art :P) but I've posted some of my traditional work :]
Here are more that I've never posted, though

Well. Okay.
Under the cut are a couple Team Fortress 2 OC's and a lot of yapping related to them. Nothing particularly interesting related to the main game and its epic cast, sowwy.
Some less-coherent doodles trying to figure out The guy that I'd imagine as the main- [embarrassed but accepting sigh] Self-insert for the game. This is Oleg! He's an obnoxiously superstitious/religious Russian on the run after taking part in several riots, stealing a bunch of gear from cops, and also The Goat Incident. Weird little man. Or, I guess, not little, he is pretty tall, and very much an adult, even though he has something of a baby face for some weird reason.
The man's mostly just kinda grimacing miserably most of the time - the job of a mercenary pays well, but it's the people he has to work with and fight against that make it rough on him. He's just so tired all the time, and anxious about everything, and just wants his Goddamn paycheck and to stay out of prison. He can still get pretty mean on the battlefield (both in terms of the average Domination line and in terms of how bloodthirsty he can get), but hey, which one of these people isn't.
I like to think he's sort of a complete third piece to the Doctor-Firefighter-Policeman trifecta. All based professions in theory, but the mercs mirroring these professions in practice are first of all insane, and apply their tools in the effectively opposite directions to their job descriptions. I've got more to say about him, but that's for if and when I make a proper reference image of him.
Initially, instead of drawing up a proper Tenth Class[tm], I just made a fourth category. For shits and giggles. You may or may not recognise these faces, and if you did, I'm flattered! ... Although I'm kinda spoiling their actual names in the tags anyway. Oops.
Behold! Servando, the Messenger (Mexican, previously a postman, an easygoing but irritable nerd emoji of a man), Reina The Bouncer (Japanese, previously a bouncer at a bar, a reserved but kind-hearted gentlewoman with definitely no ties to the Japanese mafia), and Aidan the Odd-Job (Irish, previously a handyman, a friendly if a bit gullible gentle giant).
They're all functionally civilians that were way too good at their jobs, and drank just enough lead-poisoned water to be more functional than the average Teufort resident, but still deranged enough to sign up for the Gravel Wars. They all just want to help end this once and for all, because the commotion was making their previously comfy-cozy domestic three-way married life a bit challenging.
