Oh _lovely_. Everyone go turn this off:
Enhanced Visual Search in Photos allows you to search for photos using landmarks or points of interest. Your device privately matches places in your photos to a global index Apple maintains on our servers. We apply homomorphic encryption and differential privacy, and use an OHTTP relay that hides [your] IP address. This prevents Apple from learning about the information in your photos. You can turn off Enhanced Visual Search at any time on your iOS or iPadOS device by going to Settings > Apps > Photos. On Mac, open Photos and go to Settings > General.

🌟 New
Your communities are now sorted by their title, not their URL/handle, since you can’t see that in the list.
We’re slowly rolling out the ability to add a campaign goal and a special action button to your Blazed posts.
🛠 Fixed
Some of you were unable to queue or draft posts on Monday. This has now been fixed.
Many of you were unable to find your posts yesterday in the search and tag listings. This has now been fixed, and the posts are being re-indexed, which could take up to 24 hours.
🚧 Ongoing
We are aware that ads are interrupting background audio in the latest version of the iOS app (36.5) and are working on a fix.
In the iOS app, adding tags to a queued/drafted reblog will remove its queue/draft state, meaning the action button switches to “Reblog” which publishes the reblog if tapped. The fix will be in version 36.8 of the iOS app. For now, either add tags to those on the Web, or be extra careful about checking the action button before tapping it.

★ Blog Introduction ★
-Blog is on hiatus, unfortunately-
I post Oreca Battle, Otoca♥D'or and ORE'N related content within the Overseas community whenever I feel like it!
This blog is dedicated to post about lore, news, artwork, videos, and anything related to both games with the help of existing information in the Japanese/Overseas community and wiki.
[Press "Keep Reading" to learn more about these games]
♡ About Me ♡
Salutation! My name is Rachelle, I've been a fan of Oreca Battle since 2018, and I also have played the English version of the arcade game for 1 year and half, but due to the pandemic, some of the machine has been moved away... (More about me in my main blog @pirate-fan-rachelle) My Oreca Twitter -> @RachelHeart16

What is Oreca Battle?
Released in March 2012 [JAPAN] Oreca Battle is a trading card arcade game where you scan your card, fight monsters, collect them, raise them, and combine them into new monsters! This game set in a fantasy world of Oreca where each chapter tells a story of different protagonists in different time & place. English version of this game has been distributed and available for certain Asia countries (Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Taiwan). Oreca Battle has a Sister game called "Otoca♥D'or" (a rhythm arcade game with similar mechanic as Oreca Battle that's targeted for girls)(a game that's also share the same universe)
This game has 5 Manga titles (two of them being illustrated by “Posuka Demizu” herself) and an anime adaptation in 2014 (available via Crunchyroll or any Anime streaming site)(-Optional but not a recommended way to get into Oreca Battle-)
—(Please keep in mind that some of the Oreca mangas are spin off/not canon to the actual in-game lore and the anime adaptation's storyline is completely different from it's manga adaptation!)—
Unfortunately the game's service has been shut down in March 31st 2022 after it's 10th anniversary (due to running out of card materials), which means it's English translation has been discontinued after New Chapter 3 Phase 3 being implemented. Thankfully some of the machines are still active in certain location thanks to Japanese players.
This series has:
Anime adaptation (2014)
Official Program series via KONAMI's YT channel (134 EPs)
Pandora's Medal (Coin Shooter Spin-off game)
CoroCoro Manga Adaptation
Portable device, Toys & Merchandise
iOS App (way different than the arcade version)
Official Youtube Channel (2024)
OST Playlist/CD
Two sequels (ORE'N & Oreca Battle 2)

What is Oreca Battle 2?

Official Release Date: December 17th 2024 Oreca Battle 2 is the sequel of the original series, it has been beta test in May 2024 after ORE'N's release. Just like the first game, you scan your card, fight monsters, collect them, evolve them, and combine them into new monsters! The story set in 10 years after the event of Oreca Battle 1
On May 10th 2024 Oreca Battle Twitter announced Oreca Battle 2's first beta test held at Sapura Yokohama Asobi Town (Northport Mall 6F) for location test until May 12th.
This series has:
Official Youtube Channel (2024)
CoroCoro Manga Adaptation
Pandora's Medal (beta test on March 2025)
Official Program series via Oreca TV

What is Otoca♥D'or ?

Released in March 12th 2015 Otoca♥D'or is a Japanese arcade rhythm game (and the Sister game of Oreca Battle) developed by Konami and released in 2015 as part of their Bemani music game line. It combines music rhythm gameplay with magical girl themes, fashion, and battle elements. You play as a magical girl, known as a "Doll," who battles other magical girls by performing songs. The better you play (hitting rhythm notes accurately), the stronger your performance becomes, allowing you to deal more "damage" and win stage battles.
This series has:
Short 4-koma manga
Music Videos
Merchandise
OST

What is ORE'N?

Released in April 15th 2024 (beta test in late 2023)
ORE'N is a Japanese exclusive digital trading card game and the spiritual successor to Oreca Battle for browser (Mobile & PC), with new characters, new settings, new mechanic and new stories to tell.
Just like it's first game, you fight monsters, collect them, evolve, and combine them into new monsters!
The new story take place in a world that's mixed with medieval and futuristic setting (and heavily implied to be the future of Oreca Battle).
This game also has a fully-voiced interactive manga that's illustrated by Posuka Demizu via Shounen Jump+, and it's connected to the game itself.
• Unfortunately, KONAMI consider ORE'N as NFT game due to the use of Resella. However it doesn't use Cryptocurrency, but rather use real life currency such as JPY ¥, while it doesn't sound harmful, it still gives a very "bad name" to the original first game
※ The admin of this blog is an F2P/Free-to-Play Player, I don't buy anything using real money, the real purpose of me playing this game is to archive everything that's related to Oreca and the updates.
-It's up to you whether you want to play this game or not, I don't really encourage you to play it-

Hey Kiki, I noticed in your story masterlist for FMU the “volume one: bad decisions & worse consequences” that it’s reached to 20 chapters, does that mean the volume one of FMU is “finished” now?
No HAHAHA. Okay funny thing.
I have a weird thing with <br> formatting. I like my chapters in my indexes to have no spacing in between. But it’s a pain in the ass to do in the iOS app because there’s no way I can edit HTML or do <br> lists without the bullet points thingy. Anyway this is just me being insufferable.
So I had to copy paste and I got tired at 20. So yeah I have to do the whole copy paste thing again.
I’m not even quite sure what I’m gonna do in terms of volumes—I might divide the story into two with a lil hiatus in the middle, or I might just scratch the whole volume thing. We’ll see!

*if u add it to firefox and it asks u to paste the url in use the format below thatll allow you to search directly from the browser search bar instead of just redirecting u to the Ecosia homepage

Catching Up on Tech News
1. Foursquare's Strategic Shift: Foursquare recently underwent significant restructuring, laying off 105 employees, which accounts for 25% of its workforce. The move aims to enhance operational efficiency and financial stability. This isn't the first time Foursquare has faced layoffs, having experienced similar cuts in 2020 and 2022. The company has transitioned from a consumer-focused app to a provider of enterprise data services, with its future financial outlook remaining uncertain.
2. Google Pay Enhancements: Google Pay is upping its game in the digital payment sphere by introducing new features geared towards enhancing the shopping experience. These include smarter shopping with rewards, flexible payment options through buy now, pay later (BNPL), and improved security verification methods using biometrics or PIN. These updates empower users to make informed decisions, maximize rewards, and enjoy a streamlined and secure payment process across various transactions.
3. Microsoft's AI Innovation: Microsoft's Cocreator feature within Paint is revolutionizing digital art creation by transforming quick sketches into realistic images in real-time. With options like Layers, Cocreator, and Image Creator, users can blend text and sketches seamlessly, adjusting creativity levels and styles. However, this feature currently requires specific hardware capabilities, limiting its accessibility to Copilot+ devices.
4. Apple Addresses Photo Bug: Apple swiftly addressed a bug in iOS 17.5 that caused deleted photos to reappear on iPhones and iPads. The fix was rolled out in iOS 17.5.1, which users can install via Settings > General > Software Update. While the root cause of the issue remains speculative, theories include indexing glitches, photo library corruption, or synchronization issues with iCloud Photos.

Favorite iOS Safari Extensions
On iOS (iPhones and iPads), Safari is the undisputed leader of the browsers, primarily because Apple puts very tight restrictions on other browser apps that makes it very difficult for them to offer the same features that Safari does.
Thankfully, you can install extensions to tweak Safari's behavior and customize websites, as long as your device is running iOS 15 or higher. Here are the Safari Extensions I use on a daily basis. Many are free (or at least have a free version), and all work on both iPhones and iPads.
For desktop computers and Android phones, you can also check out my recommendations for Firefox addons)
Last updated March 2025 (fixed broken Bypass Paywalls Clean links, added StopTheMadness)
Index:
AdGuard
Noir
uBlacklist
Userscripts
Sink It for Reddit
UnTrap
Vinegar
StopTheMadness
AdGuard
This addon is free if you just want to use the built in adblocking lists. For a small yearly fee, you can pay for "Pro" features, which allows you to add any custom adblocking list to the app, as well as providing DNS-based system-level adblocking that can block ads and trackers inside any app on your phone. Note that it gives you two options for the system-level blocking, local VPN and native DNS; using the VPN option can drain your battery faster than normal in my experience, so I recommend using the native DNS instead. Between AdGuard and the two YouTube-customizing extensions below, I haven’t seen an ad on YouTube in Safari in months.
Recommended custom filter lists (in addition to the built-in default lists):
Bypass Paywalls Clean (you’ll also need to install this userscript using the Userscripts Safari extension mentioned later in this list for maximum paywall blocking)
Huge AI Blocklist (if you don’t want AI art or AI images of nonexistent chimera animals cluttering up your search results)
Fuck FuckAdblock
Noir
Adds a dark mode to any website. It's using heuristics (fancy guessing) to figure out which website colors need to be changed so that it's darkened, so sometimes it can make mistakes. In that case, it has a built in way to send a bug report to the developer, who is pretty responsive in my experience; he updates the app around once a month in my experience. You can also turn off darkening for specific sites right from inside Safari.
uBlacklist
This addon hides search engine results from specific domains. Example: you can hide images results from AI generator sites, OR if you search for tech support advice and one of those stupid auto-generated sites filled with SEO garbage but no actual information keeps popping up, you can use this addon to hide everything from that website, right from the Google/DuckDuckGo/other search results.
Recommended filter subscriptions:
Huge AI Blocklist
Userscripts
Allows you to install userscripts and stylesheets that customize website behavior or appearance. The addon can check for updates of your userscripts and uses iCloud to synchronize them across devices too, which is really nice. The userscripts I use are:
Bypass Paywalls Clean (removes news website paywalls)
Amazon Sponsored Products Removal (self-explanatory)
Redirect Fandom to BreezeWiki (bypasses ad-filled fandom.com domains for indie wikis or an ad-free proxy site. The link documents 2 userscripts with slightly different behavior; use whichever you prefer).
Sink It for Reddit
I switched to only using Reddit in the browser after the whole API/third party apps fiasco. AdGuard blocks the ads in the web interface, but there were still a lot of annoyances because Reddit constantly bombarded you with prompts/popups trying to get you to switch to their app so they could track you and sell you ads. Sink It for Reddit removes all of those popups and lets you customize the behavior of the Reddit website too (tapping a post can open it in a new tab, back to top buttons for long posts, and video downloads, among other things). Constantly being updated too, which is nice to see.
UnTrap (USD $1.99)
This extension cleans up the YouTube interface in the browser. You can hide Shorts, Explore, Trending, and multiple flavors of Suggestions (videos, playlists, etc.). It also stops autoplaying videos, and has a content filter you can use to ensure you never see certain channels or even specific videos by ID, username, or keyword/regex. There are over 50 options you can tweak for the video playback page alone, so if you’re looking to remove an annoyance from YouTube in Safari on iOS, this is the addon for you. Note however that this is the first extension I’ve recommended that does NOT have a free version.
Vinegar and Baking Soda (USD $1.99)
This extension replaces YouTube’s custom video player with a standard HTML5 one. This means that YT videos will play back using the standard iOS video player interface, including all of the accompanying benefits: better interface, Picture in Picture/popout videos work, videos continue playing in the background even if you leave Safari, etc.. I was even able to start a YouTube video in Safari, lock my phone, and then continue playing the video and hear the audio over my car’s speakers via CarPlay. These are all normally locked features reserved for YouTube Premium subscribers. You can also set a default quality that it will use so YouTube won’t use auto” and set you to 360p just because you’re using a phone.
StopTheMadness Pro (USD $14.99)
This app is really only for techies who use mobile websites a LOT; for me the very high price tag is worth it primarily to stop the following web annoyances:
Stops websites from disabling features like copy and paste, pinch to zoom, context menus, or text replacement/autofill
Adds a warning when you’re exceeding the length of a password field (too many poorly coded websites just chopping off the extra characters without telling me and then the password I recorded is wrong)
Stops autoplaying video (looking at you, YouTube and news websites)
I’ll be honest, this app has a LOT of features and the number of options can be overwhelming. It has dozens of things I did not mention, and some of them even overlap with other items in this list. For example, if you have this you probably don’t need Baking Soda or Vinegar because this app has options for enabling native Safari controls on all videos, setting default YouTube quality and subtitles, etc.

What is HTML5 and its uses?
HTML5 is the latest version of HTML, which is the standard markup language for creating web pages. HTML5 was released in 2014 and has since become the most widely used version of HTML. HTML5 includes many new features and improvements over previous versions of HTML.
New Features in HTML5
Here are some of the new features in HTML5:
Semantic elements: HTML5 includes new semantic elements such as <header>, <footer>, <nav>, and <article>. These elements provide more meaning to the content of a web page, making it easier for search engines to index and understand the content.
Multimedia support: HTML5 includes built-in support for multimedia elements such as <video> and <audio>. This makes it easier to embed videos and audio files into web pages without requiring third-party plugins such as Adobe Flash.
Form validation: HTML5 includes new form validation features that allow developers to validate user input without requiring JavaScript. This makes it easier to create forms that are more user-friendly and accessible.
Canvas: HTML5 includes a new element called <canvas>, which allows developers to create dynamic graphics and animations using JavaScript.
Uses of HTML5
HTML5 is used for creating a wide range of web applications and websites. Here are some examples:
Responsive web design: HTML5 provides many features that make it easier to create responsive web designs that work well on different devices such as desktops, tablets, and smartphones.
Mobile apps: HTML5 can be used to create mobile apps that run on different platforms such as iOS, Android, and Windows Phone. This is done using frameworks such as Apache Cordova or PhoneGap.
Games: HTML5 can be used to create games that run in a web browser without requiring any plugins. This is done using frameworks such as Phaser or PixiJS.
Web applications: HTML5 can be used to create web applications that run entirely in a web browser without requiring any server-side processing. This is done using frameworks such as AngularJS or React.
Here are some resources that can help you learn HTML:
W3Schools: W3Schools is a popular online learning platform that offers free HTML tutorials. Their tutorials are designed for beginners and cover everything from the basics to advanced topics .
MDN Web Docs: MDN Web Docs is another great resource for learning HTML. They offer comprehensive HTML tutorials that cover everything from the basics to advanced topics .

🌟 New
If your account email has not been verified, you’ll see a new alert at the top of your Dashboard on web warning you that some features may be unavailable until you do so.
On web, the blog view that appears when you click a blog or a post while browsing Tumblr now interacts with browser history a little differently. When you close the blog view overlay, you’ll now skip back to the history entry for the page you were on prior to opening the blog view, as opposed to creating a new duplicate entry for that page.
🛠 Fixed
On web, we’ve fixed a bug where some pages (such as Activity) would jump to the top if you opened and then closed the blog view on them.
For a few hours yesterday, post indexing and emails were delayed. This has been fixed.
🚧 Ongoing
In the iOS app, we are aware that blog descriptions of a very specific length are truncated and not expanding on tap.
We are aware that using an x.com URL in a Link block no longer screenshots the Tweet. While we look into this, you can get around it by replacing x.com in the URL you want to share with twitter.com.
🌱 Upcoming
No upcoming launches to announce today.

🛠🍷🥰
Wow, that's a huge glass of wine! Thank you (for the ask, not for the drink lol)!
(But also, thank you for the drink.)
🍷 Do you drink and write?
Usually not, but sometimes it's fun. There's this very particular type of creativity only red wine can unlock. Other drinks only make me sleepy, not creative.
Always edit sober, though! :D
🥰 How do you feel about reader interaction? Are you open to receiving questions about your fics?
Y E S! My comments on AO3 are unrestricted on all fics, please go ahead and ask whatever you want to know about any of them. I'm not looking for constructive criticism, though. (But if you find a typo or a punctuation fail, please do let me know lol. It shouldn't happen with multiple layers of spell and grammar checkers, but sometimes I add something last second before hitting "publish", and sometimes my brain is not braining while I do so.)
🛠 What tools/programs/apps do you use to write?
Sit down and enjoy that glass of wine, this'll take a while... xD
For spontaneous short fics (and for plot bunnies that came out of nowhere), I use Google Docs. It's great because it auto-saves, and I can access my docs on any device.
Then I have Scrivener for fics that require a bit more planning or are more than just one scene.
I made different templates for the different kind of fics I usually write (and should I ever feel like I'm 100% happy with my ever-evolving templates, I'll happily share them!); and it's perfect to organise and keep all plot bunnies in check.
How was I ever able to live without the Corkboard and without being able to shuffle scenes and around like index cards? I love this fucking Corkboard, I love the binder, I love that I have a template that groups all "Save the Cat!" plot beats into the three acts of the three-act structure. And my god, do I love that I'm also able to customise the theme of my Scrivener and turn it into a pastel rainbow. Absolute eye candy! <3
I very recently treated myself to Scrivener for iOS, and I'm so happy that I did! Again, Google Docs is great for some quick note-taking, but being able to add a new index card to my WIP's Corkboard wherever I am? Priceless!
For mind maps, I use Scapple. It's from the same company that makes Scrivener, Literature & Latte. Good to organise thoughts, not necessarily a must-have. There are free mind map tools out there. I just want to support Literature & Latte.
I also use voice-to-text, because that's something that really helps me whenever I feel like I can't write. The words are there, the stories are there, but I can't fucking write them down for whatever reason.
After experimenting with different free options (let me know if you're interested in my thoughts on them and which I would recommend), I settled for Nuance Dragon Professional 16, the best dictation software on the market, but also fucking expensive. I don't regret this. It's probably overkill if you're only using it for fanfic.
I don't use the mobile version, Dragon Anywhere, because it's a subscription based service now, and fuck that. It's probably really awesome and all, but I am not paying €150 per year for this.
So, to save money, I use my €1,000 dictation software with the free dictation app ALON Dictaphone to dictate chapters or scenes on my phone. There are probably better apps out there, but I've been using this one for more than ten years and I like it. You can organise your voice notes with labels, so you always know which fic they belong to. It also synchs with all cloud services out there (I use it with my free Dropbox), and I can access the files on my laptop when I need them. Dragon 16 can transcribe these files without playing them, which is really nice, because a) I don't have to listen to my own voice and b) I can do something else on my laptop and don't have to stay quiet while it's transcribing.
For spelling and grammar, I use LanguageTool. The free plan offers all I need, and it integrates with Google Docs and my browser. The best thing about it is that you can choose which English accent to write in, and it will tell you if an expression you used belongs to a different accent and offer you an alternative.
For a quick final edit, I use ProWritingAid and Hemingway Editor. I like that you can choose the genre in PWA. I dismiss a lot of their suggestions, though. There's a reason I chose passive voice for this one sentence, dammit! xD
AutoCrit also offers interesting editing tools. I'll give it a go at one point, but for now I've only played around with the example text a little.
So, yeah. That's basically it, I think.

Wijzigingen
🌟 Nieuw

Why Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) Are Becoming the Standard in 2025
The digital landscape continues to evolve, and businesses are under pressure to deliver faster, smoother, and more accessible online experiences. In this context, Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) are emerging as the future of mobile and web development. By combining the best features of websites and native mobile apps, PWAs offer an innovative solution that is both cost-effective and performance-driven.
As we move into 2025, the demand for fast-loading, responsive, and engaging digital platforms is growing. For business owners, understanding the benefits of PWAs is critical for staying competitive and meeting user expectations.
What Are Progressive Web Apps?
Progressive Web Apps are web applications that behave like native mobile apps while being accessible through a browser. They use modern web capabilities to deliver an app-like experience, including offline functionality, push notifications, and device hardware access—all without needing to be downloaded from app stores.
Unlike traditional web applications, PWAs are designed to work seamlessly across devices, offering high performance, reliability, and improved engagement.
Why PWAs Are Becoming the New Standard
1. Speed and Performance
PWAs are optimized to load quickly, even in poor network conditions. They use service workers to cache content and run scripts in the background, allowing users to access the app instantly and without delays. Speed is a critical ranking factor for Google and directly impacts user retention and conversion rates.
2. Offline Access
One of the most notable features of PWAs is their offline functionality. Users can browse previously visited pages, view cached data, and even interact with features without an internet connection. This is especially beneficial for users in regions with unreliable internet service or businesses that operate in remote areas.
3. App-Like Experience in a Browser
PWAs bridge the gap between mobile websites and native applications. They offer features like:
Push notifications
Home screen installation
Full-screen mode
Background data syncing
This mobile-first experience helps businesses improve engagement without requiring users to go through the friction of app store downloads.
4. Cost-Effective Development
Instead of building separate native apps for iOS and Android along with a website, businesses can develop a single PWA that functions across all platforms. This reduces development time, maintenance costs, and overall project complexity, making it an ideal solution for startups and small businesses.
5. Improved SEO and Discoverability
Unlike native apps, PWAs are indexable by search engines, giving businesses a significant SEO advantage. With proper optimization, a PWA can rank in Google search results, helping attract organic traffic. This feature aligns well with modern content marketing strategies and provides long-term visibility.

Industries Benefiting from PWAs
Progressive Web Apps are not industry-specific. They are being adopted across various sectors such as:
Retail & E-Commerce: For faster checkout, offline browsing, and better mobile conversions.
Healthcare: To provide consistent user experiences for booking appointments and viewing medical records.
Travel & Hospitality: For itinerary management, offline travel guides, and real-time updates.
Media & Publishing: To deliver dynamic content with high engagement rates and push alerts.
Banking & Finance: To offer secure and responsive mobile banking experiences.
The Role of UI/UX in PWA Success
While functionality is crucial, user experience plays a central role in the success of any PWA. A well-designed interface ensures that users stay engaged, understand how to use the app, and complete desired actions with ease.
Businesses investing in mobile UI UX design services can expect:
Higher engagement and user satisfaction
Improved navigation flow
Optimized mobile layouts for varied screen sizes
Better accessibility and compliance
In 2025, design-centric development will continue to gain importance, making UI/UX a critical component of every PWA project.
PWA Adoption by Big Tech
Leading companies are already leveraging PWAs to enhance performance and reach wider audiences:
Twitter Lite: Reduced data usage by over 70% and increased engagement.
Pinterest PWA: Increased user engagement by 60%.
Alibaba and Flipkart: Achieved better conversion rates through responsive PWA interfaces.
These examples highlight how businesses of all sizes can benefit from implementing progressive web technologies.
Conclusion: Future-Proof Your Business with PWAs
In an increasingly mobile-first world, Progressive Web Apps offer a unique opportunity for businesses to improve performance, reduce costs, and deliver exceptional user experiences. Their hybrid nature and versatility are making them the go-to solution for companies looking to innovate in 2025.
