Kind of related to this other picture. The original idea was just about Yonji specifically, but I didn't want Ichiji and Niji to be left out.

The prompt/headcanon was someone saying "What if 124ji only have the power mods, but don't have any emotion change, like Reiju".

Because of their shades it's just funny imagining Ichiji and Niji acting like mafia bodyguard/secret service, like in that meme photo of the bodyguard cats.

...Maybe if he had grown up with all the ~royal stuff~ Sanji might not have the beard, but it just feels wrong seeing him without it XD

I just got really inspired seeing their drawing with Ichiji with a Gallade and did few doddles of kid Ichiji meeting his ralts for the first time. Also I thought it would be a cute idea to give Reiju a Kirlia that later on evolves into Gardevoir. :3c

Vinsmoke brothers with mommy issues without even knowing it

When they see sanji again after so many years, all golden hair and sparkly blue eyes, it all comes crashing down on them. Sanji smiles and it's like the world stops

They get angry at first, lashing out at him, but the more sanji shows kindness to those around him the more they start to remember and the more they yearn

They channel their confusion through violence and the disappointed look sanji gives them makes them feel even more frustrated

They barely remember sora, but sanji's so gentle and he has that glowing look to him, it feels familiar but also so foreign. It all just stirs something in them and they don't know what it is

Whole Cake Island is such a good angst potential for Sanlu prompts. Eagle eyed viewers would be pleased to note that I color grabbed the hand skintones from each of the Vinsmokes, with Judge even being the one holding onto Sanji the tightest, while Reiju is the one behind him, letting go. Alternate version below the cut so you can see who's who!

More "defective Vinsmoke bros".

They're still weird even in Off mode, they're just... well, less grouchy.

In my opinion even in the original they actually can have emotions like love and stuff (analysis here if you want to read), they're just for some reason weirdly irritable at Sanji for being different. So in this AU, when they're in off mode they just don't get angry and more like "I don't care", so they treat him nicer.

They still can't feel sympathy, though, so the bandages and treatment still has to be done by Reiju.

Also I was debating if they would still call Sanji "failure" or not, because the actual word for it was "defective product" in the Japanese raw. It would be sort of ironic hypocrisy, especially if they don't know they're also defective, but I decided they don't do that.
