So this morning I was minding my business and watching instagram reels while I waited for my ADHD meds to kick in and all of a sudden I saw this REALLY fantastic little art animation to that Mama's Boy song depicting a trans man (made by @ unluckyy.dog on insta). It was really evocative, but I had this nagging suspicion that the guy looked super familiar, so I opened the description to be BLASTED by the information that this was in fact an animation depicting Aaron from the Aphmau minecraft roleplays (the tag was for MyStreet specifically). Cue memories FLOODING back to me, and I went a bit nuts and read the wiki and tried my very best to brush up on the original Minecraft Diaries series. Turns out it's not really very well documented (the synopsis on the wiki skips a lot of relevant info and has a habit of just. Assuming you know who a character is and why they're there) so I'm sorta doing my best to string the events together with mostly memory.
I didn't really think today I would be designing my headcanons for characters from fucking MCD in 2024 as an adult, but honestly there's a lot of really cool ideas and moments in those videos, and these characters have just REALLY stuck with me over the years, and I want to give them a bit of tribute for how much they mattered to me as a kid.

I always forget how much time I invested in my Inanimate Insanity interest until I go and look back and holy shit I drew how much shit constantly???
#the amount of art that I have for Inanimate Insanity is no match for literally anything else I've drawn ever#all human versions tho cuz I draw. humans.#rn it's happening with Sonic too like I just like to draw things as humans. the opposite of a furry as one would call me#tbf tho the Sonic guys are like cartoon-y enough animals that I still enjoy drawing them normally#Inanimate Insanity tho like those guys are objects but tbf I do enjoy drawing objects#but I prefer humans much more personally#plus I like figuring out a balance between like Real People and okay well they are a little different they have colourful hair and like#a bit off human biology where like idk their hair is a big more liquid vs normal hair#but I mean they are still basically Humans just a bit more ~magical~ in order to fit some of the story beats in the show#same goes with Sonic characters like Sonic has gotta be super fast and like I'm figuring out how Tails could. Tails. I dunno like#hair that is slightly more? alive? having control over his hair? cuz humans don't have tails so would Tails having ONE tail make him#Tail? instead of Tails? plus it would be a Human tail vs a fox tail unless I bend the rules more#tho tbf I prefere the hair thing since like you wouldn't even see a human tail with clothes in unless specifically tailored for that#idk what the Shadow lore will be honestly cuz like I GOTTA MENTION THIS AGAIN. #i really dont know much about her <- understands nothing about engirls#but i have thoughts about her#and about the tsukinaga family in general#OHHH thats how im gonna motivate myself to do work. if i finish the essay i can draw design concepts for the tsukinaga family#i think the parents are genuinely loving and want to be supportive towards their children but dont really know how especially with leo#basically all we know is that he considers himself a burden to them and that they'd be better off without him#which isn't true!! they love him a lot and they love ruka and they love their nonexistent eldest daughter who ive made up bc i refuse to#accept leo being the oldest#but they're really busy and its a little hard to make ends meet and with leos big sister moving out theres more for his parents to do#and they don't get to slend as much time with their kids as they want to#and leo is. leo. and hes really not doing well#amd so when he starts not going to school his parents are ao worried but they dont know what to do#and they get more stressed and have a few arguments#nothing big or really serious but still#ruka is the youngest and tho her parents love and dote on her shes still. not doing great either#i like to think she was close with her big sis and so her moving out wasn't very nice and that combined with leo entirely breaking down and#her parents getting more stressed...poor ruka#we see from that part of lionheart that shes REALLY worried about leo but cant help him or. he won't let her help him#and ofc he feels so bad for making her worry he tries to be a good brother but. hes goung through a lot#anyway idk if any of this made sense enjoy my silly rambles

Lot of ppl would prolly say "hey we know u got a life and you're busy u cant always draw" but my ass has had so much time the past several years and I just couldnt get myself to draw
Well, I'm finally on a waitlist for an adhd diagnosis bc maybe just maybe not being able to do the things I want to do (and my responsibilities) wasnt just a depression thing oops
