A day off for the captains

DAICHI SAWAMURA

wishes to sleep in on his days off, even though he keeps waking up at his usual early time. does his workouts in the morning, his post-workout routine, and all that jazz. he tends to stay inside during his days off because he needs peace and quiet to gain back his energy, but he also goes grocery shopping when he has free time. in the store, he charms the lil’ old ladies with his huge smile and just as big arms as he helps them with their bags and reaching high shelves (even though he is one of the shorter captains on this list cough cough). gets himself a guilty pleasure treat and goes back to his house. prepares a hot cup of coffee and sits down to read a book. he alternates between reading motivational books or thrillers. if you are also free, he loves to go out and take you out for lunch, a walk, or grab some coffee. he doesn’t have much free time, so he cherishes the time he spends with you.

OIKAWA TOORU

he loves sleeping in but always wakes up before noon. he needs his beauty sleep. the first thing he does is go to a nearby coffee shop to up his caffeine intake and buy a nice, flaky, sweet pastry. sometimes he sits down and eats there, sometimes he goes back home and enjoys his sweet time alone. it’s on these days when oikawa’s screen time rapidly increases because he always has something on his phone open and running. a podcast is always being played as he’s doing a workout, washing the dishes, or preparing an easy lunch. he also has a few youtubers he frequently watches. he also has you on video call all the time whenever you’re free and he loves to talk your ear off about his day – definitely compliments the pastry he has eaten. if you two can’t meet for the day, he has the biggest pout on his face and says he misses you all day long – is the type to buy and send you food with one of those apps, and then you two call while having lunch together.

KUROO TETSUROU

he is the type to lay in bed for hours before he gets up. his tiktok fyp is filled with those funny animals compilations, those singing cats and Reddit stories. he listens to the craziest of stories as he makes breakfast and sits down at the table with a cold brew in hand. takes his sweet time eating breakfast and scrolling through his phone. makes sure to text you once he’s fully awake and will tease you if you’re in class/at work and he’s the one with a day off. his preferred time to work out is in the evening, so he has lots of free time to spend. idk why i think he’s the one to meal prep for the upcoming few days, but he does just that. has to have a TV series marathon – he is a Pretty Little Liars watcher – fight me. once his workout is over, takes a bath and has a whole ass spa day in that bathroom because he takes good care of his body in every way possible. loves the feeling of laying down on clean sheets with his skin all clean and moisturized.

BOKUTO KOUTAROU

can literally sleep the whole day. a day off equals a cheat day to him most of the time. he sleeps in and loves to order the foods he loves most. it’s usually a phone call or text from you that wakes him up in the morning (his morning voice tho *-*). once he’s actually out of bed, he makes the biggest cup of coffee he can, turns on the telly, and listens to some news he finds on the first channels. closes his eyes 100x times while he’s on his couch and dozes on and off. the caffeine would then kick in and then he has the need to go on a run. his mind: the more he runs, the more food he can eat later on. he does exactly that when he gets back home and is literally jumping in excitement when his food arrives. he puts the ice cream he ordered in the freezer for later (to eat when he’s crying over a rom-com) and scarfs down the food. takes a well-deserved afternoon nap and then ends the night with a crying session, the ice cream soothing his sensitive heart.

What steps would you take in order to track down a thief? Not too far, honestly. I accept things pretty easily so if I’ve processed that I’ve been robbed, I am most likely to just let it go. I’ll feel like shit, of course, but I would just let it go and scold myself for failing to be attentive.

What is something that one of your family member collects? My mom used to collect printed table napkins from different restaurants, but obivously she hasn’t been able to continue that for the past year and a half. My dad and brother used to collect magazines but both stopped a few years ago.

What would you do if you were able to have lunch with the queen? The journalist in me will probably just ask her questions about her everyday life, how she spends it, what she’s into and what she’s not into these days.

If you got to create a new flavor of ice cream, what would it be? This is a little hard considering there are a lot of small businesses out there already getting creative and quirky with ice cream flavors so it’s just hard to tell if a certain flavor has already been invented or not. One thing I haven’t seen, though, is curry. I’d buy a pint of that in an instant.

What are some questions that you would ask your favorite celebrity? His latest vlog finds. He once shared a video of this smaller content creator, so I’m guessing that’s what he likes doing in his spare time and I’m sure he would have a bunch of other just as interesting recommendations.

If you were able to set up a stand, what would you sell? Street food.

Would you like to go deep sea diving? Why or why not? Yeah. I’m always willing to try daring, not-the-safest-thing-in-the-world activities haha.

What would life be like if you lived on a cloud? The realist in me just wants to say I’d plummet straight to the ground.

What is something important that you've lost, and did you ever find it? I lost a rosary that came straight from the Vatican. No, I never found it again. I feel bad about it not because it’s a religious object, but because it came from my grandma.

Have you ever moved to a new school before? If so, how did it feel? I mean, I had to change schools when I was moving up from high school to college, but I’ve never changed schools within the same chapter of my studies, like in the middle of elementary or high school. But to answer the question, it had been a very liberating and empowering experience. I hated the rules in my Catholic school and there were so many elements from that place that made me hide so much about myself. The fact that I could wear shorts and curse and attend rallies and cut class and make my own class schedules in college felt incredibly freeing and satisfying.

Do you enjoy autumn leaves or spring flowers more? Why? I wouldn’t know. I experience neither over here.

What is your favorite sport to play? What about watch? Table tennis. Favorite to watch would be either tennis or pro wrestling.

Have you ever gone on a cruise before? To where? Yeah. It was an East Asian cruise so I traveled to Shanghai, Jeju, and Fukuoka.

What would you do if you were invisible for a day? Probably go to the bigger houses in the village and see how fancy they get.

Depending on where you live, why might a day of school get canceled? Typhoon, floods. A lot of places are incredibly prone to flooding, so as long as it’s been raining super hard the chances for a class suspension will get high.

What types of transportation do you think we will see in the future? I dunno. It seems like we’re at that point where everything is in the process of being invented or perfected already. 

What were some of your toys you always played with when you were little? I liked kitchen sets and anything with lots of buttons, so like toy telephones or cash registers.

If you were a movie star, what would a day in your life be like? I have no clue apart from the fact that I’m just glad I would assumedly have more than enough money to buy whatever I’m craving whenever I want hahaha.

If you invented a time machine, what year would you like to go to, and why? Realistically I wouldn’t change a thing; but if I had to answer this question I’d go back to 2016 and never ask out Gab a second time, so that the next four years wouldn’t end up being such a waste of my time.

What is something that you like to do while on vacation? Try food I’ve never tried before. The more unconventional or obscure, the better.

What are some common places that people tour when they come to your city? There’s the waterfalls in the upper part of the city – I’m just not sure if it’s still a popular spot but it certainly was when I was a kid. There’s also an art museum that I’m certain is a lot more frequented now.

What's one food that you did not enjoy as a child, but do as an adult? Curry.

How would having no electricity affect your daily routine? I wouldn’t be able to attend work, at least not for the whole day. It would also feel a lot warmer without the electric fan, which would in turn make me cranky.

If you had one wish, what would it be? A renovated room with a dedicated corner for all my merch.

If you were given a certain amount of time to live, would you want to know? Yeah for sure, I would want to know in a heartbeat.

What would you do if you were able to stop time? I don’t know what I would do, but that would be a nice...opportunity, I guess? to experiment with or try out certain decisions and see how well or unwell they would work out to be. So that when time resumes, I’d know better on how to best handle a situation.

Do you think that long distance relationships would be for you? I wouldn’t actively go for it, but I’m not shutting down the possibility either.

Is there a popular social media platform that you don't have an account for? I have one for all the main ones, I think. Even Instagram, I made an account not too long ago to finally join the platform.

How old were you when you found out about Santa, the Easter Bunny, etc? I never knew the Easter Bunny was a thing until I started taking these surveys at like 14. I never really believed in Santa either, and the only figure I was super disappointed to learn that it didn’t exist was the tooth fairy.

I have a feeling it would go something like this:

The door bell rings as a new customer walked into the bakery. Mike was just putting a new batch of bread in the cabinets as he heard the person come in. 

“Excuse me!”

Mike turned around to see a beautiful woman no younger than her late twenties come into the shop with a business uniform on. Mike assumes she came here after her work since it was late in the day. He didn’t say anything. He just looked at her simply nodding to her as if saying ‘go ahead’.

“Aha well.. I’m hosting a small get together with my friends from high school, and we all love sweets so I was coming here to get some, I hope you don’t mind, I didn’t see the closed sign,” She says fixing her [H/L] hair into a clip so it’s not in her face. Mike walked over behind the counter and gestured to the display case with a bunch of different colorful pastries. 

The girl walked over to the counter with sparkles in her eyes, seeing all the delicious looking food. How was she to choose? Well in the end she picked 6 amazingly perfect choices for all of her friends. 

As she was at the register, she was studying this man’s features. ‘He’s not a talker, but he is a looker,’ she thought. She was secretly hoping this man would ask more about her, but she knew that wouldn’t happen. 

He finished putting the money into the register and gave her her change. “Thank you for your business. Please come again.” The man finally speaks and nods to her. The kind gentleman also walks her to the door to show her out. “Thank you for all your help... Mike... ha, that’s a cool name, maybe I’ll see you around,” the woman says and then walks out of the bakery to the direction which is probably her house. 

Little did the two know, that they would meet again...

As time went on, you would visit the bakery a few times a week to get some bread or pick out a sweet treat for yourself

You didn’t know this but Mike really liked having you come around to where we worked.

Mike isn’t much of a talker, he’s more a serious type. 

So he rather have you make the first move

Though the two of you really hit it off one time during your weekly visit,

So after that, you became a regular customer.

You found out Mike is actually a smug kind of guy when he gets to open up to the person.

After you making all the conversation, he began to start with topics too.

well it all started when i heard oh! by snsd and i was like wow these girls are so pretty and i love that dance!!! and i was like 9 or smth i have no clue but i was young so i fell in love with snsd and for ages that was the only kpop group i listened to but then!! a few years later i saw a clip of the speed dont tease me choreo on tumblr and i was like holy shit thats cool which then led to me finding a video of bts dancing to their song and so i ended up getting into bts, then got7 then exo. then i went off kpop for a bit and i returned in july and fell in love with svt and a ton of other groups

Well i cant remember the last time i read a book which is really bad actually i need to start reading more again ( i read a book last summer, that was the last time i do remember actually) oh!! but i watched hidden figures the other week and it was really good and although it wasnt sad i cried at the end lmao i was just so proud of those women like they did that!! they really did that! ok this is a kids movie but i actually really like it so whatever its called oliver and company and its got good music o shit actually whilst im at it treasure planet is a really good movie too
