somebody said that phone guy is a stealth/warder cuz in the vid we hear what seems like him actually breathing next to the listener, but otherwise only being able to be heard over the phone.

somebody also said he could be a d(a)emon and i kinda agree but idk enough about what they can do stealth magic-wise

as a stealth, callboi/phone guy could phase through walls and doors inside sweeties house, allowing them to stay locked, hence why he assures them that they are. i also saw someone say that the bumps could have been him losing concentration on his magic and bumping into things rather than phasing through them. again, i agree.

and him refraining from touching sweetie further shows that he could possibly be a stealth, because they don’t know which room that he’s in, so it would scare sweetie if he they were to feel him touching them but not see him anywhere or even know which room he was in.

i’m fairly sure that it’s been said that being cloaked suppresses noise from the person (footsteps, etc) so that may include their voice, hence why we don’t hear him actually speaking, and he’s only heard on the phone
