🌱 Whether it's a joke or not he has a dorky smile after as he laughs, the pet name making him feel warm inside. He probably will try and call you a pet name back afterwards, hoping you'll like it just as much as he did.

🌱 Goes to brag to all his friends the next day. "Hey hey! Guess what?! S/O called me DARLING!!" Nobody really cares too much honestly, they think he's overreacting or even lying.

Honestly I feel bad sitting on this thing when I’ve had such great success with it so here it is:

Let’s make a spell candle for your spirits! This could be for a guide, an ancestor, anything that talks and is a spirit, this candle will work for.

This candle makes sure that only the designated spirit may talk during the convo so you don't have to worry if there is outside communication, it also takes the energetic toll off of them and you during the talk, helps enhance the clarity of the communication and helps foster a positive vibe during the convo as well.

Please remember to ask your spirits for consent before making and read the whole post before getting started.

To start, grab a glass prayer candle, it doesn't really matter what color it is. It could be their favorite color, it could be light blue for communication, it could be purple to represent spiritual realms, it could be just white.

On a piece of paper (the smaller the better), write the following paragraph and fill in the blanks: "I invite only __ energy while this candle is burning, all other spirits are respectfully asked to step aside. The communication with __ is clear, concise and filled with positive intentions"

On another small piece of paper, draw a sigil that draws the energy from source. I do this because without it, the energy draw it creates is pretty significant. Here is my sigil that i use for it:

On yet another small piece of paper, draw a sigil that stands for the intention of only that spirit talking while the candle is burning. I can't really show an example for this because the sigil changes based on what the name is. Either way you do your sigils, it'll be fine. Example intention for the sigil "While this candle burns, only jessica may talk"

Take those 3 pieces of paper, and put them to the side for now. Next, grab these following herbs and crystals and one by one, speak your intention into them and add them on top of the candle. You can soften the wax if you'd like to, but i don't find that necessary, I just throw them on top.

Crystals:

Blue Chalcedony: clear communication, self expression and tranquility

Amethyst: spiritual protection and help guard against negativity and other spirits talking

Obsidian: shield against negative energies, outside spirits trying to talk, and enhance clarity of communication

Lapis Lazuli: effective communication and self expression

Clear Quartz: amplify the energy and success of the spell

Yellow Agate: boost personal power, energy and help foster a positive vibe within the convo

Herbs:

Thyme: clarity in communication

Coffee grounds: boost the energy and success of the spell

Pink Salt: clarity, balance, grounding and healing

Cinnamon: boost energy and vitality of spell

All Spice: protection, prosperity, energy boost, psychic abilities, harmony

Do we really need all this for it to be successful? Not sure, but this is the recipe that has worked and proven successful time and time again. Okay so we have our crystals and our herbs on there, next we grab the 3 pieces of paper and burn them one at a time, putting the ashes on top of the wax.

To finish off the candle, redraw the first sigil that draws the energy from source and then on top of that sigil, draw the same sigil you did for the specific spirit and tape it onto the candle. I usually just draw these on sticker paper and stick it to the candle but if you don't have that, just tape it. Bonus points if you draw a cute design and put it on top! Here’s what my sigils would look like:

Yay! Now we have our finished candle. This candle works well for all sorts of communication methods. Tarot, pendulum, dousing rods, radio, apps etc etc, tho i made this candle with paranormal apps/radio in mind, that's where you'll see the most difference. Make sure you cut the wick well above the ashes, crystals and herbs because we don't want it being drowned out.

Please please please keep this candle within sight when first burning it cuz all those ashes are a pretty decent fire hazard and they most definitely will light on fire. I just poke em out when they do.

❗️The only disclaimers I have for this spell is the fact that it will not be perfect communication, you're speaking across dimensions after all, but it will most definitely help and you'll notice a difference both in the communication and energy levels, especially if you're using an app like ghosttube or a psb7 spirit box. Also, this candle creates a barrier. Please tell your spirit to let you know when they would like to go because they will not be able to leave the conversation by themselves, you'll have to blow out the candle in order for them to leave.

I came up with the tag "fans don't look" precisely to prevent my posts from cross tagging with IDW, since Tumblr is the website of all time. I don't really want to bother anyone with my rants. But the debate can get very nasty and draining, and in some circles, the toxic positivity can devolve into pubicly ridiculing people with an unpopular opinion and basically say they ruin everything for everyone, painting them as the bad guys who make everyone miserable. I've seen it from the sides, and it was more or less told to my face.

I'm not here to deliberately ruin people's fun. I actually feel bad at the idea of doing so. okay so the insaneification of genloss started with sneeg. FANON IS WRONG ABOUT HIM HE IS WRONG IN EVERY FIC THE MASSES DO NOT UNDERSTAND HIM . so basically to be true to the canon sneeg mutual started actually talking about the trauma he would have and how genuinely fucked up he would be and that's how the randy collective started. anyways i touched on the whole being raised by showfall thing which ties into kids theory. charlie and sneeg would have been so so so codependent and toxic and they love each other and they're all over each other like animals but they'll also fight to the fucking death because showfall can just revive them. (there's a creature au as well that is very cool but i'll talk about that later if i remember.) frank was sneeg's boyfriend and he got permakilled for it and i will come back to this (but also. side note. yellow is frank's color. that's the color of the number code ran chose to put into the computer. maybe this doesn't mean anything but i think the yellow connecting to frank and the fact that he was dead was foreshadowing but take that as you will. moving on)

generation loss charlie. everyone talks about him. everyone loves charlie. they don't care about sneeg. charlie knows this and he will use it against sneeg any way he can. he's the favourite and he flaunts that at sneeg and knows showfall would kill sneeg if he said the word. at the same time sneeg knows this and he would be so fucking jealous of that. he would kill charlie for it. he'd regret it but that wouldn't stop him. it's the cain and abel symbolism and it could be explained so much better but i really really love this point so i had to mention it.

another thing about charlie being the favorite. charlie genuinely doesn't have anyone without sneeg. so when frank comes along and starts talking to sneeg and basically taking his brother away from him he gets jealous of that. there's multiple endings to this one but it was an interesting point.

last thing about charlie for now the charlie mutual made headcanons for transfem/transmasc charlie separately and they are so cool. i can't remember who had the idea of aroace charlie but we love that too. we spin him in the washing machine

i have my own version of ran as well. in all my post escape aus they use hearing aids and prosthetic eyes from where the box messed up their face. (SHOWFALL EMPLOYEE AUS GO SO FUCKING HARD WITH THIS ONE. TO ME. i literally cannot forget to talk about this later.) but yeah that's my basic design idea and the headcanons for this guy are crazy. one of my favorites is the one that sneeg and charlie were literally on top of each other all the time being brothers so ranboo adopted that kind of show of affection post escape. they're fucked up brothers your honor

niki is such a fucking fun one to think about too. i don't have much on her because she's actually characterized decently well from what i've seen but @/white-collar-cannibal has an au where she cuts off her hair and just. the butch niki headcanons. it's such a cool concept. because we've discussed her too and as popular hcs go niki was brought in as a teenager. i think we said 14-15 (but don't quote me on that i could be wrong). but the basic idea is showfall made her be pretty and she wants to be like sneeg. she wants to fight and be able to stomach stuff like all the gruesome stuff showfall fed sneeg and charlie as kids and ough. it's just so cool to think about i love her character

I'm truly sorry because it took me roughly 3 days (I guess??? idk anymore TT) to even think of badly summaries (that will actually not spoil the whole premise of each of my WIPs) 🥲🥲… I don't know if this is bad enough but please understand I'm not really good at summarizing it bad (even summarizing it good is no-no to me)

Okay I actually put genderbend on the last two because those two are actually my two genderbend naruhina I was supposed to post this month but since they weren't actually still flesh out just yet, it might take some time for them to be posted (probably within this year, lol I do hope so).

The last one is actually a WIP of mine that I wrote last year. I actually love the premise I've built with it in my head (lol) but only ¼ of what should be written is written so I doubt if I would actually post this or not lol! Sorry for the length of this but I wanted to go through and find particular parts of your series that I really liked and show how I really appreciate the little things you add. Turns out that list was way too long after just one part so switched it to some quotes that I found funny/made me laugh xxx

Every time she saw Quinn, he was in a variation of three outfits: jeans and a jacket, athletic wear, or a game day suit.  Okay but had to bring up how accurate this is, have you seen this man in the past like fortnight? He has worn the same suit to every game, I mean iconic for sure but dude come on aha

The interaction with Quinn and Emma when she asks if he's slept with Sarah yet is also so cute and funny to me aha

They ended with a very off key “Yooooou!” and the camera turned back to the front, showing Elias with a teasing, mischievous glint in his eyes, “Happy birthday, Sarah!” he said. “Thanks for making Huggy bearable!” 

“You keep in touch with everyone who was there that night?” he joked, hoping she would see how ridiculous her worry was. 

“Gee, thanks, Hughes,” she said, flatly. “I had no idea ice is slippery.”

“Can you hold me?” he asked. It came out quieter than he thought it would. I don't even know what to say. I feel so very blessed. Every time I get a message like this - scratch that, this is the first message with so much detail I've received - it just kills my imposter syndrome a little bit more. Thank you for that. I really can't even express how much it means to me.

I'm happy to share my wip list. I've put it below the cut in case someone doesn't want to be spoiled. A caveat, though: some of these pieces are farther along than others. Some are 99% finished, but I'm waiting for a little more context before posting them. Some have barely been started, while others have a good amount of work done on them. I write fics on the side of my regular, full-time job and living my life, so sometimes progress is slow going.

Helpful things

Since the Shoe Spike Post seemed very helpful to a lot of people, I wanted to make another post like it. This one has other helpful things most people don't seem to be aware of. None of this is sponsored or anything, so no affiliate links and I'll try to avoid specific brands wherever possible.

1: Removable shoe spikes, aka crampons (again)

Yeah, I am starting with the shoe spikes again. Price: $10-$30 These will go a long way to help with ice and snow. The first two are more suited for hiking and slopes, while the lower ones are meant for cities and generally even ground.

Drawbacks: Remember to take these off indoors. They'll ruin hardwood floors, and you won't have much grip on tiled floors and the like.

3: Magnetic USB-Charging cables

Pretty simple concept: The little magnetic plug stays in your phone or whatever device, and the cable connects to it via the magnet.

The two biggest benefits of these is the fact that your device's charging port won't wear out, and you won't get any dirt into it either. I've had one of these on my phone for almost 5 years now, and the charging port is still in like new condition.

Drawbacks: Only your magnetic cables will be compatible with the plug in your phone. You can pull the plug out and use a regular cable, but that's pretty fiddly.

4: Remote controlled power sockets

Price: $20-$60, depending on the brand and features

These allow you to turn power sockets on and off with a remote control... as the name suggests. Some are compatible with smartphones and home automation stuff. They are great when you want to automate your home a little bit without all the hassle (or listening devices) that usually come with home automation. I control basically everything in my room with a handful of remotes and sockets similar to these.

Drawbacks: Different brands are usually not compatible with each other and don't lose the remote...

5: Magnetic Shoe lace fasteners, aka Zubits

Probably the most unusual item on this list, so they're going to require a bit more explaining. I also have to go with a brand on this one because these are patented. Price: $15-$25, depending on size and magnet strength

The biggest benefit for me is that these open your shoes much more than usual, which makes it much easier to get in and out of them. They are also much easier and faster to use than regular laces, and the tying strength stays consistent. Installation is also pretty easy, you just have to thread your regular laces through the holes, make a knot, so they don't slip out and cut off the rest of the laces. I've been using these for years as well and the magnets have yet to come undone on their own, and I like my shoes tied tightly.

Not Your Little Girl

After your wildly unexpected journey to the past, you were finally home. Of course, you and Lucifer were now inseparable, mostly because you were now under the strict orders that you didn’t leave his side. You didn’t mind though. You wanted to spend as much time together with him as you possibly could. One day, he ended up needing to go into town to run some errands and you were more than happy to join him. As you walked down the cobblestone street together, you laced your fingers with his. He smiles and gives your hand a squeeze and you find yourself leaning your head gently against his arm as you walk. “Are you tired?” he questioned, glancing down at you. His tone was flat and sounded uninterested, but his crimson eyes were shining with amusement. You knew him well enough to know he didn’t actually mind your antics. You gave him a smirk, “Maybe a little.”

The two of you had just walked out of one of the several clothing boutiques when you happened to make eye contact with another demon across the street. He looked familiar somehow, but you couldn't place it. Not to mention the shiver that ran down your spine at the sight of him. You attempted to steer Lucifer in the other direction. "Hey Lucifer? Can we check out this other store over here-" But you were too late. "Well, MC, look at you. Even in this timeline you're sleeping with the 7 Rulers of Hell. Some things never change." the demon sneered. Lucifer narrowed his eyes, staring down the lower level demon. "MC...? Just exactly who is this fool?" You glowered at the other demon. Who is he? I know him, but I just can't... Oh. Finally, you remembered. "Just some irrelevant demon I've had the displeasure of meeting while I was away." you spat. The demon only snickered, rolling his eyes. "That means nothing coming from some weak human." Oh yeah. Solomon's magic wore off, you thought. You didn't need your more demonic appearance anymore now that you were home safe. The demon was slowly approaching you, his fangs bared and dripping with drool. Lucifer went to step in front of you, his own demon form taking over and his wings spreading out wide. "No, it's okay Lucifer." you said. "I'll handle it." The demon laughed again, "Oh yeah, are you sure about that? You better run, little girl."

Under your breath, you whispered the incantation. Being Solomon's apprentice, you had easily memorized it. You recalled what he said to you as you uttered the final word of the spell. This will give you the guise of a demon. Wings, fangs, horns, and all. You don't have to use this once you return home, but perhaps it could have it's advantages...? Lucifer gasps and steps back as the magic takes over your body. He's gaping at you in amazement as you transform right before his eyes. "I'm sorry..." you murmur, your head down as you feel the magic swirling through your veins. You could feel the horns poking through your skull. The wings protruding from your back. Your claws unsheathing as you flex your fingers. "...Say that again, I didn't quite hear ya." You grin, stepping towards the demon whose eyes were now wide at your sudden change of appearance. "W-Wait you're...?" Now it's your turn to laugh. "It's about time for you to be on your way, don't you think? I've changed quite a bit since I last saw you." The demon hisses, and jolts forward to attack, but you're ready. You use the magic you have learned to send him flying backwards and into the air. Once he lands and regains his footing, he gives you one final snarl and bolts. Good, the coward, you think to yourself.

When you turn around to face Lucifer, he’s looking at you with an expression you can only read as a mix of amazement and curiosity. His wings are drooping behind him. For once, he's left speechless. “M-MC… how on earth did you..? What was that??” You blush, running your fingers through your hair and brushing them against your horns. “Well, it’s a spell that Solomon taught me when I was in the past version of the Devildom.” The eldest demon’s eyes narrow at the mention of Solomon, and you immediately jump to defend the silver haired sorcerer. “But it was purely designed to keep me safe! It wore off once I returned back to our current timeline.” You pause, giving him a wink. "I pack quite a punch when I'm backed into a corner, don't I?" Lucifer sighed, rubbing his forehead. “You never cease to surprise me, MC.” Giggling, you run up to Lucifer, throwing yourself against his chest. His arms wrap around you, squeezing you into a tight hug. “I love you, MC. You’re incredible.” he murmurs into your hair. You feel the spell of your demonic features beginning to fade as all of your attention is given to him. “I love you too. You don’t have to worry so much about me, okay?” You hear the deep rumble in his chest as he chuckles, “Well, you’re still under strict orders to stay by my side. Absolutely no exceptions.”

i'm slowly catching up on the mcu....

(thoughts and opinions of someone who is not, and probably will never be, a comic enthusiast, a film major, or cgi specialist below the cut.)

so. i have heard and read nothing but votriol for just about everything after end game. maybe it was the classic fandom progression where everything gets turned into a cesspool (either the fandom survives and becomes good again, or everything implodes and only incels and tarpits remain). i don't really know because i left fandom spaces for like 3 years, but that's a whole different story.

i dropped off after end game, i'm just barely catching up, so i don't know how a lot of everything else turned out. i've liked the multiverse movies i've seen so far (shang-chi, eternals, multiverse of madness, quantumania). they're not masterpieces, but they're good movies. (please remember that this is my opinion and i'm not an expert on anything except myself. the block button and i are best friends.)

despite starting the movie several times, i can never seem to finish wakanda forever. it just feels... sad. without chadwick boseman. don't get me wrong, the movie is interesting, and i love shuri and wakanda. it just doesn't feel right that chadwick isn't there. call it parasocial or whatever, but idk. when black panther first came out, it was compelling. i fell in love with the story of the mcu all over again, and this character specifically. call it parasocial or whatever. idk. i just can't finish the movie.

i really liked shang-chi, i thought it was an interesting movie and it was very pretty in the special effects/cgi department. i liked the story, and while i wasn't completely blown away by the lovie, i did enjoy it a lot. probably my current favorite of the post endgame movies.

eternals was... well, i didn't much care for it either way. it felt strange and lonely, but i think any movie would feel strange and lonely if it happens in a preexisting universe, and is effecting the whole globe, and yet only a certain set of super powered people show up to help.

multiverse of madness was interesting to me. we got to see two preestablished characters who have never interacted collide in a way that doesnt really happen in marvel movies. it wasn't a crossover of any sort (not like venom in no way home or deadpool's fourth wall references) but it was cool. i haven't seen wandavision (i'm television adversed for the most part, honestly. watching movies is like pulling teeth for me, and focusing on a tv show is worse. to me, the tv is for background noise so i don't go insane.) so i'm missing pieces of background for that, i'm sure. something something wanda wanted kids and so she'd destroy the world to have that or whatever. (i'll watch wandavision eventually) i sympathize with craving a life ripped away from you by circumstances out of your control, and i found myself in tears at that one scene, when the kids are terrified of her.

quantumania was a whole other thing. they're setting up the big bad of the arc. like they did with phase one. those little touches of thanos in the end credits, ths machinations of a monster much bigger than them. this is just a step up, a mulitversal problem rather than an in universe one. they did (*imo*) a great job taking this step through by including the slow build to it. the hints of the quantum in phase one movies has lended itself greatly to the build up of this phase.

quantunmania itself was mid. i didn't hate it, i didn't love it. it was interesting to see the probability storm. i think it says great deal about scott as a person that even when he is split into hundreds of millions of versions of himself, his focus will always be cassie. that's a dad if i've ever seen one. it was also an interesting read of hope, as well, that she came all together to help scott and even though the scotts all helped og scott, they only came together when hope arrived. (the metaphor was like a bright red circle in a youtube thumb nail.) also, i loved the ant mimicry in thay scene. and the ants! the ants were probably my favorite part.

end game was a unique film, with countless hours of work from a HUGE cast and crew put into it. blood, sweat, and tears went into that movie. it's a cgi wet dream. it tied up loose end after loose end, sweeping the plot bunnies together in a neat 3 hour long package. i could wax poetically about end game for 3 hours at least. anway. the point of all this is that these movies are fine. they're not end game levels, but i don't think anything will ever live up to end game. maybe i'm wrong, we shall see. maybe i'm stuck in the past. maybe i'm missing a humongous chunk of context bc i haven't been keeping up with the news surrounding marvel. idk. i'm gonna keep enjoying what i enjoy, and despite it's flaws, i do enjoy marvel.

Hmm but what to cover right now... how about... oh I know! I already covered the other first anniversary set ('Your First Anniversary: A Special Date for Two' ) so let's round that off with the other first anniversary set:

'Your First Anniversary: The Gift of Love'

This contains stories for: Leon, Scorpio, Teorus, Dui, Huedhaut, Ichthys, Karno, and Zyglavis.

Spoilers (for this special story and their main paths) under cut.

You know I was just wondering about why it was an eight and four split but it suddenly twigged: the first anniversary for this lot is all the same because even though their routes are in the second prologue lot both Zyglavis and Karno have a pretty clear presence through the earlier routes that the others do not.

Anyway, that aside let's get to actually talking about these shall we?

LEON

Leon is as disinterested about this kind of thing as always but his words here are just so romantic and sweet.

SCORPIO

Unlike the other Gods Scorpio actually seems to realise that it's been nearly a year since he met MC, which I guess makes sense as he is the one that was originally human. Not that he actually wants to celebrate it.

Actually, possibly what I like about this is Dui & Ichthys fetching MC cos they're worried about how ill Scorpio is in this and know they can't stay. Also Dui remembered how MC helped Scorpio before when the Earth's atmosphere had got to him so had done what she had before to try and help. It shows how close Punishments really are.

TEORUS

The way Teo answers MC seems to imply that he as well actually at least knew it was a year since they met but it's not until MC explains more that he understands why humans would want to celebrate such things. Unlike Leon and Scorpio though he decides that he absolutely must make this one of the best days ever.

This is actually a really sweet one of his, especially his reaction when MC comments on his ability to freeze time.

DUI

Oh Dui, sweet Dui, straight on board with the human customs as soon as they've been explained. And I really mean straight on board - summoning a load stuff the second MC finishes explaining the kind of things humans usually do to celebrate.

But my absolute favourite thing to come out of this one is Dui deciding that his birthday should be this day and why that is. It's just such a nice touch for his storyline.

HUEDHAUT

Oh goodness me... pffft. Hue, please. MC really should know better than to just ask 'Do you know what today is?' an entire year after first meeting Huedhaut because, well...

There are a lot of things the day could be and Hue knows them all because he is just that well read. Or maybe he's making them up to tease MC, I honestly can't tell for sure. (See this is why I called him a nightmare earlier lol).

Anyway when MC eventually tells him (and she at least doesn't think it's teasing for once), Hue's reaction is just glorious. "That's why you're upset." Oh dammit Hue!

The conclusion of this though is really really sweet though, even if yet again MC briefly worries about her past life.

Hue's gentle, thoughtful, kind, and romantic... the trouble is you've got to peel away all that sarcasm and snark first. Did I say trouble? I'm not sure that's the right word... because Hue is wonderful.

ICHTHYS

Owwww. My heart. Of course Ikky immediately goes along with celebrating cos he'd do it anytime if it meant spending time with MC and the reminiscing over events is nice but then it turns to how he used to be mortal and... yeah... I think Ichthys suddenly really understands why this celebration is important to MC.

KARNO

I really don't have anything much to say about this. Karno's giving off those slightly odd vibes again (I mean it's portrayed in game as a joke but the line about wanting to be the first one to meet her has a weird context when you know about how he was the one who granted young MC's wishes). I do think it's a nice touch that he's the one that specifically uses the word anniversary though, even though it's only kinda that for them.

ZYGLAVIS

Oh now this... this is wonderful. Zig knows that human custom is to celebrate but doesn't know what exactly that entails.

What MC decides they should do together is just great. This is another side to Zyglavis and I am totally here for it. Even a brief chink in his armour thanks to struggling with a utensil, though only for a fleeting moment.

As for Zig's surprise gift for MC? He really is a total romantic softy at heart isn't he? 🥰

So since the thing I wanted to do for today still isn't done 😔😔😔 I just wanted to drop in and say happy birthday to one of my favourite series I've ever read. And to thank you for creating it too, of course.

I genuinely love every single word and scene from it, I think about it all the time too. So many things will remind me of it - art, flowers, songs... the word angel... and I'll just find myself thinking about them. Thinking about their video calls while Jungkook was away 🥺🥺🥺 thinking about the body painting scene 😫😫😫 thinking about the fact that they're still not together 😭😭😭 I just honestly love them so damn much!!!

I really wish that my full love letter was done in time, but I'm really excited to finish it! I have some of my motivation back though and I'll even work on it some tonight!! It requires me rereading cmi again and I swear every single time I read it, I find new things to marvel at. New paragraphs to read over and over, new scenes that make me blush and smile so wide, all while having a feeling of familiar comfort at the same time. Here's what I'm currently working with:

It might already be at over 1k words with just a bunch of scrambled thoughts from my reread of the first chapter and some half baked ideas about the structure of it all 😅 We'll see how it will turn out though, we all know how much I like to ramble...

Anyway, thank you once again, Rid, for creating such a beautiful story that I truly adore with my whole heart. I'm off to reread the second chapter now 💞💞💞

Okay, now that I've had some time to rewatch and mull over all the information we have so far, I'm going to try and lay out my thoughts. It's gonna get long, I'd meant to do a strictly novel analysis of the scene before it aired, but life got in the way as usual. But I'm kind of glad, 'cause now I can compare the two.

There will be discussion of both the show and the novel below the cut, so if you're not interested in the novel or spoilers please pass this post by.

I'm going to start this off by saying that I am truly happy with the changes they've made in the show when it comes to the consensual aspect of the story between Kinn and Porsche. Also, as a warning, I'm going to be pulling personal experiences out to try and get my thoughts across properly. And, I don't do posts like this, like ever, so sorry if I make zero sense or talk way too much. I just have a lot of thoughts, and on the rare occasion my brain allows me to comprehensively share those thoughts, I need to take advantage.

Let's start this off from the beginning of episode 4. Porsche wakes up in Pete's bed, knows he kissed someone, can't remember, and spends the rest of the first half of the episode trying to piece things together. I know we like to joke about Porsche having a single braincell (and honestly sometimes boy... lol) but he's not an idiot and he does know how to read people. You can't be a good bartender or survive taking care of your family, young and alone, without having a decent grasp on human nature.

I think when Kinn called him up to the balcony and started asking him questions he left that conversation with a flickering of oh, I remember something happened and now Kinn is acting strangely (a theme he vocalizes later in the sauna). I think he's thinking, what did I do this time to make Kinn act so strangely (soft and flirtatious and joking around) towards me?

After he sees Kinn with his escort, realizes Kinn is gay, remembers what happened on the pier, and that what happened wasn't something he did but Kinn kissing him, he asks Pete if you should kiss someone you don't like (and the subtitles changed so don't at me...) , or aren't in a relationship with (or perhaps intentionally pursuing because you like them). Now, obviously, you can kiss people you don't like, but perhaps are just physically attracted to, and I'm sure something is lost in the translation. That or I'm just reading too much into it and Pete saying you only kiss people you like, 'cause baby boy, that ain't true. Side note, I have a feeling Pete might come to realize it isn't true when we get to the point of him with Vegas, but that's an entirely different egg to crack open. (I have also not read that far.)

Now, here, is where I want to point out just how differently Porsche reacts to what happened and how fucking ecstatic I am that they changed it completely. In the novel, Porsche struggles with a lot of internalized homophobia, though he's okay with Yok, who is trans, he mentions it took him some time to be okay with her, but he still recoils at people he thinks might be gay or someone of the same gender expressing interest in him. He frequently compliments men's looks, not just in a friendly way, and thinks about how attractive some men are, Kinn especially. In the novel, once he really realizes he's physically and sexually attracted to Kinn, Porsche has a fucking meltdown of an internal crisis over it. He even goes as far as hitting on all his guy friends trying to reason out why Kinn would be behaving the way he is towards him, and why he kind of likes it (but doesn't, but does, but doesn't etc.). The boy is a mess and in complete denial.

I'm assuming a lot here, and reading between the lines, but how I interpreted it was, Porsche had, at some point in his youth, like a lot of queer youth, gotten a lot of negative feedback about same sex attraction that really dug into his bones, and so whenever he feels anything more than friendship towards another man he freaks out and tries to bury it, all the while wanting it so badly he can't stop himself. i.e. kissing Kinn back and allowing Kinn to essentially do whatever he pleases while being vocally grumpy about it. In the novel, he doesn't know who he is when it comes to his sexuality, he's deep in denial about being bi, and actively fights against it.

The show ripped that all away and gave us the true chaotic bi king we love and adore, and who he should have been in the novel imo. Show Porsche is open, honest to a fault, accepting, understanding. Now, we haven't gotten verbal confirmation that Porsche is bi in the show, but from everything I've witnessed so far I feel safe in saying he's bi, pan, or just plainly doesn't give a fuck as long as he's getting pleasure from his encounters. He seems open to Kinn's attraction as well as his own, though to say for certain we will have to wait until episode 5, where I'm hoping they touch on this subject some more, and I hope it's on the good side in line with the changes from novel Porsche we've gotten so far. (I'm down for some turmoil about him having sex with his boss, but please keep the biphobia out please please).

As much as I'd like to get more into the lead up to the real juicy stuff, I just don't have the energy. So, let's get into the gritty of it, shall we? The drugging scene. We finally made it here. A lot faster than I was expecting? Absolutely. Does it still feel organic after the previous three episodes? If Kinn hadn't said Porsche had been at the compound for a month, yes, but since he did, no.

Porsche has been with Kinn, Khun, the other bodyguards, for a whole month. He's been learning, adjusting, actively trying to become a better bodyguard. The reasons behind his change of heart seem to be him finally coming to the realization of what a serious situation he's landed himself in. It's life or death, his life isn't the only one on the line here, it's everyone around him as well. He's clearly beginning to really care about the well-being of his fellow bodyguards (mainly Pete, Arm, Pol) and Khun and Kinn.

Also, after episode 3, it was clear to me that Porsche finds Kinn physically attractive, and I do believe wanting some kind of approval from Kinn was another motivator. He's curious about Kinn, he's attracted to him, he's leaning into it.

Kinn, poor baby, is having a beautiful emotional crisis, and a lot of that I think is thanks to Mile really pouring his entire being into fleshing Kinn out and turning him into a "well" rounded person rather than the power hungry, totally domineering, bastard asshole, very surface, no depth, Kinn we have in the novel. The changes they've made to Kinn are fucking delightful, and I'm adoring the added depth and emotional vulnerability they've given him.

In the novel, Vegas sexually assaults Porsche. Without penetration, but Kinn does find him in his underwear with marks all over his body. This was one of the parts I was most worried about them adapting in the show. (I will note here, I have not read past the official translation of 1/4 of the novel--which ends with my favorite spicy scene so far and god I hope they give it to us!--the rest I have sought out from fans so it's not a complete picture). The change they made was nice (as nice as beginning to assault someone can be...), and I'm glad we didn't have to go that far. They've clearly changed Vegas a bit, though how much is yet to be seen. I'm holding my judgment for now.

Kinn's internal monologue during the drugging scene is, well, rough to say the least. But that can be said for the novel as a whole. Reading it felt like reading a fic written by a teenager from the early 00's, and not in the good way. Kinn seems like a consent King, but after telling Porsche he'd stop if Porsche told him to, he doesn't. He fucks Porsche all night long, to the point of needing to take him to the hospital the next day because he's bleeding heavily and in a lot of pain. It has its hot moments, but it's rough and gross, and I'm so glad it's been changed in the show.

What the show gave us is stunning in comparison. What the show gave us is fucking beautiful imo. Porsche, after remembering Kinn kissed him, after witnessing him with his escort, after listening to Pete, Porsche takes all of that information and once again, leans into it. He goads Kinn, he flirts with him, he asks him questions not any normal bodyguard would ask. "If your brother didn't give me up, would you even think to take me back?" Any other guard wouldn't give a shit, but Porsche needs to know. There are so many reasons this could be, but I think the main factors are a need for approval, his newfound desire to protect this family, his attraction and curiosity for Kinn, and a need to prove himself as a competent man, which he is in all rights when he puts his mind to something.

There's also something to be said about an unspoken and underlying desire to be cared for, something Porsche has never really had for most of his life. He's always been the caretaker, for Che, for his uncle even. I know y'all noticed how good he is at taking care of Tankhun? It's because he's in a familiar roll, he knows how to do this with ease. Kinn on the other hand? Someone who doesn't need coddling and caring for? He doesn't know how to handle that, but after his initial rebellion, after seeing some different sides of Kinn, he wants back in. I think, subconsciously at this point, he sees how Kinn would take care of him and he wants it.

Yes, Porsche is drugged. Yes, being under the influence makes consent iffy, but it does not mean Porsche did not give his consent or wasn't able to. Porsche may not have given verbal consent, what he did do is give consent in every other possible way, and that is what Kinn responded to. Porsche joked with Kinn about wanting to see him naked, playfully slapped his hands away, and each time Kinn respectfully pulled back. Those examples are a clear lack of consent, and Kinn responded appropriately to them. But as soon as Porsche changed gears so did Kinn, still yet with reluctance because of Porsche's state and also his brewing feelings. It wasn't one-sided, it was a push and pull on both ends.

I know there will be some who disagree with me, and that's fine. I'm pulling from my own experiences here, and what I saw in episode 4 was consensual and not rape in the slightest. I've done a lot of things in my 30+ years that I'm not proud of, certainly, but even fall-over drunk, even sky-high on drugs, I was able to give and deny consent. Was it a good idea? Of course not. Do I have regrets? Some. But being young and reckless, well, me and Porsche seem to have that in common. I mean, Porsche is in his early twenties, and my early twenties were quite literally a blur of alcohol, drugs, parties, and bad (but fun) decisions.

Porsche was high as a kite, but he was also coherent. Porsche was the one pulling Kinn in. Porsche was the one verbally and non-verbally saying yes, please, I know you want this, I want it too can't you see? Let me show you. Not to mention, no sugarcoating, having sex when you're high is fucking awesome and, frankly, I don't think this is a first for Porsche. Also, I want to mention, and this is really important, if you throw up while you're high it does sober you up a bit. It dampens the experience and brings you back into your mind. I can say this with absolute certainty, I've done it several times.

Another thing I want to point out in regard to consent is Porsche never once told Kinn no. Never once did he tell him to stop. Porsche was smiling constantly, he was taking initiative, he was undressing Kinn himself, he wanted all of what happened. Will he regret it the next day? Probably. We will have to wait and see. But bottom line, the show changed this scene for the better, a lot better.

Anyway, this was less of an analysis and more of a thought word vomit 'cause I've been wanting to talk about this scene for weeks now, and I'm also sick and tired of people saying it was rape in the tags. Kinn did not rape Porsche. Porsche gave non-verbal consent, and yes it is possible to give consent when under the influence, even if it's not a good idea. This is not the hill we need to be dying on. Let's wait for VegasPete for that, shall we?

Dani omg yes, I can't wait for the Brazilian GP! I've read that's it's one of the best tracks and there's so much history because of Senna (yes I saw a documentary about Senna on Netflix) and it's also sort of a home race for Lewis so it will be super interesting. I obviously haven't seen one before, but most drivers seem to really like Interlagos so let's see. Also this F1 page on Insta said that there's a thing since 2017 that however wins pole in Hungary wins the Brazilian GP and I immediately went to make sure who won and it was Lewis! So, that will very exciting to watch, unless Max ruins this superstition too. Honestly this guy, he is ruining everything🙄 (Just a joke please Max fans don't come at me I'm actually kinda fond of him-but Lewis for the win). Horner still pisses me off though. And you know what's funny? I remember a certain question somebody asked Horner at the beginning of this season, about who is the thing he fears for the most the car, Ferrari, or Lewis Hamilton and he went "Fernando Alonso". This also reminded about the Lewis/Charles disqualification last weekend which I still haven't recovered from. FIA, if two out of four drivers ain't making the cut, CHECK THE OTHER DRIVERS TOO! Seriously, they are just doing it to piss us off at this point.

All fic requests are for entirely new fics, no continuing on preexisting WIPs (except for adding onto a series that is explicitly set in the same universe, such as the TMA/BNHA crossover brainrot <3 universe, the todofam-plus-izuku's adventures in vigilantism universe, or The Phantom of Shinomori Prefecture universe. Additionally, I'm also open to anything that would fit into the afohiko peddling series or the in which tim stoker is entity catnip series). If you want me to work on my multichapter WIPs because I have so many of those and never update any of them, I also have an option to Sponsor a WIP!

My rate is $10 per chapter for any requests sent! The first chapter will be roughly 2k words at a minimum, any later chapters will be a minimum/rough estimate of 1k. The fandoms I will write for are listed (alphabetically) below the cut, as well as what kind of prompts I will or will not write:

What I will write:

Crossovers! Any crossover between any of the fandoms listed below. I'll also do a crossover with Tokyo Ghoul on request (just not a Tokyo Ghoul fic, like, on its own. I am not caught up on anything and quite frankly I straight up don't remember who anybody is)
