Hey everyone, With so many studyblr’s out there, I have been motivated to start my own studyblr too. I recently finished my igcses and I am soon going to start AS level. ( I would love to get any advise on A levels)
For A levels I have planned to take physics, maths, further mathematics, economics and AS English language ( I might drop English) as I am planning to study computer science and management at university.
With this studyblr, I’ll be posting a lot of my own material for instance:-
~study / motivational stuff ~ bullet journal snaps (which I recently started) ~ study tips and resources ( for igcses is coming soon) ~ notes ~ coding pics
(These are just to name some)

The Ultimate IGCSE ECONOMICS guide (TIPS & RESOURCES):-
Economics igcse is not at all tough and one can easily get an A* with hard work and determination.
1. UNDERSTAND ALL CONCEPTS
Understanding concepts is very essential as without it you won’t be able to apply them in analytical questions ( especially the ones that start with ‘DISCUSS’ which is usually for 8 marks ) and moreover you may struggle in MCQs too. For understanding concepts, read the chapters in the book before attending the class so that you can participate more actively in class discussions. ( Pay attention to discussions as it can give you new ideas to make your answers more attractive to examiner)
2. MAKE NOTES
- I highly recommend making flashcards for definitions ( include diagrams such as PPC if necessary)
Example for flashcards (source @studybuzz )
- For a subject like economics where you have to connect concepts to each other, making mind maps of each chapter is very helpful! You won’t have to go back to book to read the data all over again, this helps to save time.
Example for mind map (source: @sushi-studies )
- Use Cornell note taking method when you are taking notes during classes as you can write articles/ references your teacher tell you to read on left side.
3. DO ALL THE ASSIGNMENTS
Attending assignments that your teachers gives you or practicing past papers throughout the two years and getting them CHECKED helps you to achieve the kind of LANGUAGE the examiner wants. By developing the skill, you can really understand what essential content is needed and how much of it is needed ( usually depends on the amount of marks the question is for)
4. PRACTICE MCQ PAPERS
MCQ papers are really scoring! By scoring 30/30 in MCQs you will have high chances of getting an A*. Literally no kidding, do all the MCQ past papers (you will thank me later). Make it a habit to do almost 5-10 MCQ past papers per week.
Helpful resources:-
1. FOR ME THIS BOOK IS A MUST HAVE : Economics for Cambridge IGCSE & O Level Revision guide. It has revision summary for each chapter, key economic terms and arguments you will need to recall and apply to questions in your final exams and moreover more exercises. The best part about this book is that it has more than 10 pages of structured answers.

2. For definitions this book is pretty good :- A-Z Handbook 3rd edition economics. ( this doesn’t mean you should not make flashcards or notes for definitions, always do that this helps you to remember them more efficiently)

All of things mentioned above are literally your gateway to getting an A*. Don’t stress, eat healthy and sleep sufficiently. I wish all of you best luck for your exams! Ask me any questions or doubts, I will be happy to answer them! :)
