so what i've learned is that for mitch marner specifically any points earned in a blowout game don't count actually. especially not in a blowout game where he helped swing the momentum. also points super don't count if you got them in games 1-4 of a potential 7 games series because idk reasons. being the first maple leaf with a round 2 gwg in half a million years doesn't count the most obviously because it wasn't a game 5, 6, or 7. it doesn't matter how you got to games 5-7 but if you're not putting up points in that exact stretch of games then well you're just not built for playoff hockey apparently. unless your name isn't mitch marner of course.

AHH I just meant that while rivelia is a popular specialist/specialist ship (maybe the most popular one actually?), it's often liked from a very... fanon perspective. People really enjoy the Angry Red Character and Calm Pacifist Blue Character trope (i do too!) but in canon rivelia just isn't really like that? At least, not to the extent that people usually think of them in fanon.

People often focus on that dynamic of angry/calm for rivelia when there's a lot there that can be really interesting! Like Riven's dislike and distrust of Helia at first actually being residual feelings of dislike of Sky (and assuming that Helia would be another Sky). Or how Helia never disliked Riven, even when he was being a little bitch to him! Or how Riven understands Helia's more negative feelings in ways that even Flora sometimes doesn't. Or Helia being able to express annoyance with Riven without Riven considering it a personal attack or challenge like he still does with some of the others. Or Riven still getting really worried when Helia does dangerous shit on missions (in a way that he really doesn't get with the other guys). Or Helia always being a quiet comfort for Riven and being there when he wants to vent.

There's just... a lot that goes into their friendship that people often miss because they end up focusing a lot more on the angry/calm or fighter/pacifist dynamics. And like,,, there's nothing inherently wrong with that don't get me wrong, but I wish there was more rivelia content that was based on their canon relationship! I think riven/nabu (rivbu? naven... ??) also gets that fanon treatment of angry/calm when again, so much more goes into their friendship! But for rivelia specifically, they just have a lot of potential as a pairing (platonically and romantically) but so much of it gets missed out on :(

The thing about not believing the hoards of queer ppl saying that mike is gay is that "as a straight person" you don't see the world the same way we do. And when a straight person clocks a gay person it isn't for the same reasons. As gay ppl we see the "signs" cause we've been through the same experiences ourselves. For a straight person you see a gay man having a high voice, or being extra flamboyant, or dressing "girlier". When actually, sure there are gay men like that (and straight men too.), but you probably would not be able to tell if you walked past a queer person on the street. ESPECIALLY in the 80's. Cause gay ppl have always had to HIDE. we aren't clocking anything OUTWARD. (Unless it's a queer signal, specifically worn or said so other queer people know that they're safe) we are seeing the same behaviors and experiences that we ourselves have gone through.

You don't see mike as gay cause he seems "normal" to you. He's just a guy who is in love with a girl who he barely talks to. He's afraid of saying I love you, we've all been through that right? Dude.. my ex boyfriend totally did get me into conspiracy theory shit, even if unintentionally (i think its intentional im sure he believed in that shit. Would not surprise me at all.) At the time i was already pretty isolated from anyone online who mightve countered any of my dumb spiritual or alien related beliefs because of some dumb shit i said online making most of the friends and followers i made online generally avoid me, depending on who it was. I was just a regular pagan and then he showed me this weird video with all this weird conspiracy theory symbolism in it. I looked it up later on and looked up the meaning of the symbolism and came across a whole bunch of stuff posing itself as Secret Information The US Govt Doesnt Want You To Know About, etc. And then i just fell deeper into the conspiracy theory pipeline, traded my paganism for new age beliefs, and goddamn dude. Like we both got suspended from school bc he had a dumb idea to dumb shit there and i spent my time in detention fucking. Trying to read "the emerald tablets" or whatever tf. Its all coming back to me rn.
