I've been listening to songs on Soundcloud more this year and these are just some the past day or so I've been listening to on repeat. ❤️ Of course, knowing me, I had to link them and add a little description as to why... so I put a tab so it wouldn't take up so much space in case anyone didn't want a huge post on their page.

(Classic. I have the edit versions in my 'yearning' playlist bc they just... fill me with life. hard to explain.)

(I never knew the singer till two days ago when I looked up the whole version vs. the edit version I usually have in my 'Likes')

iii. I Bet On Losing Dogs ~ Mitski

(was stuck in my head last night from TT, and had to look up the name from the sound. Found this version so far. I liked the slowed version and muffled version tbh)

iv. One For The Road ~ Arctic Monkeys

(This one is speed up I guess for copyright reasons, but I love this song and not just bc they're my fave band. but I cannot try and air drum to this when it comes on.)

v. Fortress ~ Illenium

(Again, another song on my 'yearning' playlist. the first, in fact, bc this is one of the two songs that first inspired me to create a playlist that screams 'love'. true love. will always be the Scallison song for me bc of that one edit.) (bc of my most recent fic , obviously, but also just because it's a great song. It's also in my 'yearning' playlist. I kept looking for this version bc this is the one that I originally believed the creator had to delete or private bc T-swift's team tried to ban bc it's so good that more people listen to it than the original on the platform, so he had to change the pic and his username. but now it's unprivated and i'm literally thriving. Had to search and search for it again bc I knew it was still on my profile somewhere.)

What about Glorfindel?

Yo, I have so many Glorfindel songs. “The Phoenix” by Fall Out Boy is a good go-to. For Glorfindel, I like juxtaposing high-energy songs with more serene songs like “Shade of Yellow” by Griff, because I think that suits his personality. To me, Glorfindel is cheerful, determined, and extroverted; he’s also soft, has moments of quiet, and finds his inner serenity as time goes on.

“From the Ashes” by ILLENIUM and Skylar Grey is a fun song for Glorfindel’s battle with the Balrog and his subsequent reincarnation.

And let’s not forget “Journey to the Past” from the Anastasia soundtrack. Listen, guys. This song is all about Glorfindel. He returns to Middle Earth, his home in a past life, seeking answers about where he belongs! It’s perfect. I will take no criticism. 😆
