So I am entering to #angeliccosplaytribute because it is a wonderful idea to talk about the cosplayers that inspire me. It is no surprise that one of my biggest cosplay inspirations is one of my very own best friends, @jai_kayee . This girl motivates me to do everything, from serious cosplays, to memes, to very gay visual novels. Even when we don't cosplay together, she still there to be a source of inspiration and motivation. She has offered so much advise since we became friends and cosplay buddies. Even when we specialize in different types of cosplays, I do mostly fabric and extreme headpieces and she does armour and fabric, I still have learned so much. I have shared three of my favorite photos of my favorite cosplays. But this post barely scratches the surface of my love and admiration for Shane. Thanks for letting me gush about one of my cosplays inspirations. Love you bunches girl. I can't wait to see everything you do in the future. My friends

When I was younger it was all about how many friends I had. Now that i’m older (and supposedly wiser) i find it’s more important to have a few close friends, rather than lot’s of acquaintances. 

It's important to have people you can rely on in times of need. Friends that you can share your secrets with, and celebrate accomplishments with. Friends that are genuinely happy for you, or that can sympathise with you when you need them to. 

I have 3 extremely close friends that I wouldn't even call friends really. They're family.

Mini. I have known mini since we were in primary school together. We lost touch for a while when we both moved schools, but became friends again when we were in 6th form. It wasn't until a few months into our friendship that we realised that we knew each other! When I went through a major rough patch in my teenage years, Mini was there for me. She made sure I always had a bed to sleep in when I couldn't go home. She made sure I was well fed. She was there to dry my tears for me. I've also been there for her too but I'll always remember and greatly appreciate how much she has done for me over the years. We have been each other's bridesmaids, had children at the same time, and even lived together for a while too. Mini truly is my other half, and we are best friends for life. The poor woman is stuck with me now!!

Dopey. I have known Dopey since I moved away from home. I met her at the first job I got when I moved here. Dopey is older then me, and much wiser! She is so kind and loving, but also brutally honest. She will tell me if I look ridiculous in an outfit, or if she thinks I'm making a big mistake because she genuinely cares about me. Dopey, her husband, and her daughter became my adopted family. Which was especially handy when I was getting home sick. Their home was always the comforting, safe feeling place that I needed. When we were both going through huge life changes (I was pregnant, and she had just found out that her husband was seriously ill) she decided that we needed some space apart. She couldn't watch our lives just beginning as she felt hers was ending. She also didn't want me to be stressed, upset, or feel like I had obligations to see them and talk about his illness all the time, when I should be concentrating on being a mother. Which to an extent I understand. But she seriously underestimated how strong I am. I would have dealt with it just fine. When my daughter was 1 year old, dopey messaged me and we got talking. We met up a few times for coffee, and then I invited them round to see Tiny Dino. We now message all the time, and see each other at least once a week if not more. We've gotten that closeness back now which I am so happy about. Especially as I love them all as a family and I want to be there for everything, good and bad. I now have my wish and we are there for each other, the way it should be. 

Nee. I met Nee through another job 3-4 years ago. She’s younger than me but is so so mature. She's much more mature than I am! We would go out together, for coffee, lunch, on a night out. We'd have pizza and movie nights with Nee and her boyfriend Xam. I could talk to Nee about anything and everything. When I became pregnant, Nee was one of the first to know, and she was so excited for us! When Dopey dropped her bombshell I felt totally lost without her. Nee picked up my pieces. She supported me throughout my difficult pregnancy and traumatising labour. She visited us in the hospital. When we came home I really struggled, but Nee was there to help me. Without her I just don't know how I would have gotten through any of it. Late last year Nee had her own baby and I started to repay the favour. She is an amazing mother and has now started her own at home business so she can be a stay at home mum. I am so very proud of her. Now our girls will grow up together, in our little family!

I have other friends too, but these 3 have made the biggest (and most positive) impacts on my life. Without them I would just be lost, and I am so grateful  to have each and every one of them in my life. These are my friends for life. My family.
