MAIN MASTERLIST | CHEEK TO CHEEK MASTERLIST
“Shit… Fuck… Fuck! He’s gonna fucking kill me… fuck…”
The mumbles spill from your lips as you take in the scene in front of you. Puddles and puddles of blood covered the floor of your apartment, dirtying your beige tile and all the other surfaces with splatters. David lays in the middle, with about thirty-six stab wounds in his body.
When you and Bucky started the arrangement regarding your list, there were two rules you two agreed to follow - no matter what. First rule: Kills are never completed alone. You two are to complete the list together and help each other with everything that involves the person. Second rule: Bucky is to know everything about the person they’re killing. What they did to you, their name, their remaining family, where they live, what they eat for breakfast; everything.
And here you were breaking both of those rules.
It was too good of an opportunity, you try and convince yourself. Bucky will understand, he’s always so understanding, he never yells, he’s always so nice to you; a choked sob escaped your body as your dirty hands fly to cover your face, tears flowing down your cheeks mixing with the blood now smeared across your skin.
TWO HOURS EARLIER
Bucky always told you to be extremely cautious when leaving the apartment. Even though it had been well over a year, almost two, since your prison escape, you never knew who could be watching. Every few weeks or so, your name pops up in the news, Whatever happened to one of the worst killers in modern history, How did she pull off such an escape from such a high security facility, Is she even still alive, etc.
But as soon as your name appears, it vanishes once more, replaced by some other injustice happening in the world.
Your feet take you inside a small bar, the musky scent intrigues you along with the copious amounts of peanut shells littering the floor. You take a seat on the stool and try not to pay attention to the fact that every single person in the room is staring at you right now. But you can’t blame them; you’ve dyed your hair a pastel pink now, body covered in baggy jeans and baby blue long-sleeved milkmaid top, a gift from Bucky. “You can’t wear that one t-shirt, that’s mine, by the way, forever.” He’d told you. Your rainbow painted toes and fingernails stand out under the dimmed lights of the place.
An older man behind the bar approaches you and places a napkin in front of you, “What can I get ya’?” You order some beer plastered on the wall because as far as you know, you’ve never even tried alcohol before, let alone know enough about it to have any kind of preference.
You take sips of the beer for a while, aimlessly watching the sports game playing on the TV, every once in a while glancing at the pool table where a group of older men play a game together. Suddenly, the stool beside you becomes occupied. You know it’s not Bucky, he doesn’t know you’re here and it’s not his cologne, but for a second you were hoping it was. A parallel to when you sat with him in that cafe all that time ago. When he bought you that apple pie and hot chocolate. I miss him…
You refuse to look over at the man sitting next to you, but you can feel his eyes blatantly staring at you.
“So… what’s your name?” He breaks the silence and asks you. You don’t respond, simply just continue sipping away at your beer.
“My name is David.” He offers. A chill runs up your spine at the name and you look over at him. He looks so familiar… Where do I know him from? Have I seen him at the food market before? Is he Hydra? Did we go to school together? Were we in the Marines-
“Hey officer,” A deep voice curls into your ear, causing a chill to run up your spine.
“Fuck off, David. I’m trying to do my hair.” You don’t bother glancing at him in the mirror as you scoop more gel into your hands and smooth it onto the top of your head. You’ve let your hair grow to long and the strands keep sticking out of the bun, but the thought of asking any of the other women, or worse - the men, for help cutting it terrifies you. You’re still too new.
“Now, is that any way to talk to your higher up?” A large hand wraps around your middle and gropes your breast.
“I said fuck off.” A pointy elbow slams back into his chest, knocking the wind out of him.
“I’ll get you for that, just you wait. Fresh meat.”
Your body runs cold as you make the connection and you feel as though your entire body has shut down. You can feel the cold sweat gathering in your palms and your lower back. A lump forms in your throat and you want to cry; you want to scream. But something takes over, and although you feel terrified, you keep yourself composed; hide your anxiety.
“Do you want to get out of here? My place is only a few blocks away.” You ask, false sultriness dripping from your voice. David smirks at you, clearly not recognizing you from nearly a decade ago.
He takes out some cash and places it on the bar, grabbing your beer from your hands and placing it on top, grabbing your hands after and leading you out of the bar.
Bucky sits on the floor of his living room, practicing his twenty minutes of meditation before bed. Alpine rubs her cheek against the bare top of his foot that’s crossed under his knee, but eventually gets bored before trotting around behind him to start climbing her way up his back. Bucky tries his best to ignore her tiny nails digging through his shirt, but can’t help but chuckle as she makes herself comfortable in the curve of his neck. “Guess meditation time is over, huh baby?” He whispers before gathering her in his hands and plopping her on his bed. He reaches down to roll up his yoga mat when he hears a silent buzzing from his kitchen.
Confused on who would be calling him this late, knowing that Sharon’s visiting a college friend over in SoHo and Sam’s on a date, he sees a number he doesn’t recognize flash on the screen. Bucky hesitates answering, but he knows telemarketers rarely call this late.
“Hello?” Bucky answers.
“B-Bucky?” Your shaky voice sounds on the other end. The sound is watery and raspy, like you've been sobbing your eyes out and screaming for hours.
“Bucky, I-I-I need y-your help… I fucked up,” Your voice is cut off by a hiccup as Bucky goes to grab his closest pair of pants to go over his boxers and he pulls on sneakers before grabbing the keys to his bike.
“Hey, sweetheart? Do me a favor and relax, okay? Are you okay? Are you hurt?” Bucky rushes out as he locks his door behind him before making his way to the staircase.
“I’m so so so sorry, Bucky… please don’t be mad at me-e… I broke t-the rules,” Choked sobs escape you and Bucky has never heard you cry like that before.
“Listen, I’m already on my way, okay? I’ll be at yours in twenty minutes, okay?” You don’t respond as Bucky listens to your crying and you eventually hang up.
Broke the rules? What does she mean by… oh. She couldn’t have… we had our next hit planned for a few days from now. Did she do someone else on the list? Bucky tries not to think too much about it until he can get to yours and figure out what’s going on, his motorcycle screaming through the quiet night.
You’ve been sitting in David’s blood for about an hour now. The liquid is cold, his body is cold, the phone in your hand is cold. Nice going, you’ve really done it now. Not only have you probably just cost yourself your freedom, but you’ve ruined your jeans and the top Bucky bought you. He’s going to be so mad at you; he’s going to be so mad that he’s going to have no choice but to bring you in. He’ll be laughing as the cops drag you away-
Your thoughts are interrupted by a frantic knock on your door, Bucky’s voice calling your name on the other side.
“If you don’t open the door, I’m breaking it down!” He calls.
You slowly stand, trying not to slip in the puddle, before walking over to the door and opening it about halfway. Bucky’s eyes widen and his brows furrowed together as he looks your body up and down.
The blood on your clothes is starting to brown and you’re covered up to your forearms in blood. Splatters decorate your face, neck and hair, and your eyes are puffy from crying.
“I-I-” You begin to stutter. Bucky silently pushes his way inside to see the bloodbath waiting for him. He pushes the door closed behind him and stares at the body laying in the middle of the floor. Your knife still sits standing out of his face.
“Who the fuck is that?”
“Bu-Bucky- I can,”
“What, you-you can explain?!” Bucky snaps, turning to face you, and you’ve never seen him look at you like this. You flinch and take a half-step backwards, bumping into the door behind you.
Bucky turns back around, a flesh and silver hand running through his hair and roughly over his face.
“Here’s what’s going to happen,” He begins, voice eerily even, still staring at the body. “You're going to go shower and wash all of the blood off your body. Then you’re going to make sure this apartment is spotless. I’ll take care of… him. And then we’ll talk when I get back. Are we understood?”
You can’t seem to make any words come out so you quickly make your way to your bathroom and close the door behind you softly.
You shower until the water runs cold and your skin is tinted red. Either from the blood or how hard you were scrubbing, you’re not sure, you just didn’t want Bucky to still be in your apartment when you stepped out.
It’s not that you were scared of him, because you weren’t. You knew that Bucky would never intentionally harm you, both physically or mentally. You were more angry at yourself. Bucky's done nothing but protect you; he’s kept you a secret, helped you indirectly work through your trauma, stitched you up, made you smile and laugh when you didn’t even think that was ever going to be possible for you anymore. You broke the only rules he asked of you. You disappointed him. You’ve put him in an even worse position than he’s already in by protecting your existence.
You turn the knob of the water to the right before stepping out and wrapping your fluffy yellow robe around your body, tying it at the waist. Your apartment is empty when you step out of the bathroom, Bucky nor David occupying the space. Your walk over to your sink and open the cabinet on the bottom to take out your cleaning supplies before getting to work.
Bucky’s calmed down significantly by the time he gets back to your apartment. He checks his phone to see that it’s almost five in the morning before reaching in his other pocket for your keys that he took off the table, slipping the key into the lock and jiggling it until pushing the door open.
He’s not mad at you. Perhaps he was for a bit, but he realized that anger was just fear. Had anyone seen you? Did this guy do something to you? Did he recognize you and that’s why you needed to kill him? Did you kill him because you actually wanted to experience that again? He really hoped it wasn’t the last one.
You're sitting on your bed in the corner of the apartment, splatters still visible on the sheets but the floors are clean. The room doesn’t have an overpowering smell of bleach or cleaner, but there is no trace of a body here, besides the small splatters, but those can be passed off as splashes of wine. You did good.
Your feet are stretched out in front of your as your hands are planted behind your back, propping you up. Your yellow robe is tied around your waist but the edges sit high up on your thighs.
He sets your keys on your table, kicks off his shoes, and walks over to take a seat next to you.
“Did you know I was a Marine before all of this? When I was, like, eighteen?” You break the silence, still staring at the wall in front of you.
“Yes.”
“The guy was my unit chief. He raped me twice during my first week there.”
Bucky remains quiet as you explain, watching your face and it’s calm expression. You hesitate, opening and closing your mouth before opening it once more to continue.
“I went to some bar tonight and he hit on me. He didn’t recognize me, and… I don’t know. I thought I’d scare him or something, remind him what he’d done. But then he was here and he kept trying to feel me up even though I’d push him away. I didn’t have a plan yet. And then he snapped at me and then I snapped back…” You trailed off.
“After I realized what happened, I panicked and I used his phone to call you.”
“I’m really sorry, Bucky.” You say, softer now. You bring your legs up to your chest, wrapping your arms around your shins.
“Okay. I forgive you.” Bucky responds after a moment.
The two of you sit in silence next to each other on the thin sheets. You’re staring at the passing cars out the window. He’s staring at your plant that’s sitting on the small night stand next to your mattress. You’ve changed out the silver tin it was sitting in to a light blue one covered in green polka dots.
You tilt your head to meet his eyes and look away briefly before meeting them again.
“Can… Can I have a hug, Bucky?” You ask, with the smallest voice in the world, your sentence ending in a small crack.
Bucky doesn’t answer and instead scoots closer to you, wrapping his arms around your body and pulling you onto his lap, your thighs on either side of him, chests touching. His left arm wraps around your back and drags slowly up and down while his right hand rests on the back of your head, softly scratching through your still damp hair. Your hands are tucked close between both your chests and your breath fans softly against his neck where your head is tucked into. He silently breathes in your scent, the children’s strawberry soap you use mixed with a homey, warm small that’s just you. He watches out the window as the sky turns from a dark blue to a deep orange; it should be about five-thirty right about now and the morning traffic is about to start.
“There’s a ton of white cat hair on your shoulder, Buck.” He hears you whisper against him, voice slurring a bit with drowsiness, the last bits of adrenaline wearing off.
He smiles to himself and holds you until you're fast asleep, and then stays for a while after that, too.

fuck it, bnha fic idea that wont leave my head
Aight so boom, nezu has a friend? Colleague? Associate? That has the power to bring the future version of a person to the present for like an hour or smth
Due to the usj arc, that whole mall fiasco, bakugou’s kidnapping, and the whole traitor possibility, nezu wants them to use it on class 1-a to see what their up against and to hopefully prevent any situations before they happen
Mineta got expelled after the sports festival for sexual assault and shinso took his place, thus shinso interned, and was at the summer camp
So the person comes and for some reason im picturing a lady, so she comes and the class basically does a lottery on who is chosen.
The woman can only do 3 people at a time, the lottery happens and bakugou, tokoyami and uraraka are chosen
She does her stuff and the pros appear they are confused as fuck my guys
Bakugo’s like “yall better be explaining this shit in the next 5 seconds or someone is getting knocked unconscious”
The woman explains that she grabbed them from the future and once they start talking and stuff the timeline will split and an alternate universe will form keeping everything from the pro’s future intact
Once they explain the pros relax and start answering some questions about their future
tokoyami: “What's the next major event that's gonna happen?”
uraraka: “so this is after that summer camp shit right? So my guess is the war with the meta liberation army?”
bakugou: “Nah nah, internships first remember deku rocked overhaul’s shit to save eri”
uraraka: “Fuck, right we could prevent nighteye’s death and prevent mirio from losing his quirk”
tokoyami: “Don't forget endevor’s fight the the high end nomu”
bakugou: “fuck your right tokoyami, the after affects of the injures lead to an early retirement”
uraraka: “Might as well tell em that kurogiri is shirakumo oboro, shigaraki is shimura tenko, and that dabi is todoroki touya”
bakugou: “Damn uraraka you prepare for this shit or smth?”
tokoyami: “wait this is right after the summer camp?? They better put protection detail on jeanist stat, the hero commission hates the work he’s done with the villain rehab programs! Someone get hawks here, he was made as a double agent the minute he went into the league!”
Meanwhile, everyone as they single handedly put together a timeline wondering wtf they’ve gotten themselves into: 👁👄👁
Plus the scene that started it all:
kaminari: so who’s the #1 hero in your future?
uraraka & tokoyami: [big ass sigh]
bakugou: I KNEW ONE OF YOU DAMN EXTRAS WOULD ASK. ILL BE #1 FOR 6 MONTHS THEN FUCKING DEKU WILL COME ALONG AND RUIN SHIT. EVERY OTHER 6 MONTHS HE SHOWS UP AND PUSHS ME DOWN TO #2. THEN I HAVE TO PUT HIM IN HIS PLACE CUZ EVERYONE KNOWS IM #1. THIS FLIP FLOPPING SHIT’S BEEN GOING ON FOR 5 FUCKING YEARS ALREADY. GODDAM I HAVENT EVEN HAD IT FOR MORE THAN SIX MONTHS IN A ROW, JESUS. NOT TO MENTION THAT ONE TIME WHEN FUCKING ICYHOT BEAT THE BOTH OF US AND I WAS #3. FUCK, YOU TAKE ONE (1) OVERSEAS CASE, AND ALL OF A SUDDEN-
[big explosion]
thanks for coming to my ted talk

Multipart commission work - Harry Hook x reader - part 4 - argument

You tapped the tip of your shoe on the ground, waiting by the kitchens for Mal. She wanted you to help with some food for Ben for today, their little date at the lake grotto in about two hours.
Which gave you just enough time to get at least a couple of dishes together, all of a sudden Mal ran past you, rushing to get her spell book from her bag.
“Mal?” you tilted your head, following her into the kitchen “whats-
“I FORGOT!” she yelled back, grabbing a plate, bread, peanut butter, and jelly and starting to make the sandwich.
“Mal we have time to-“
“take this plain meal, turn it to a scrumptious meal” she muttered to herself, stuffing the sandwich into a bag and handing you the plate.
“come on! I have to get to the grotto!” you sighed and followed her out, tugging down your shorts that were riding up your leg.
“Alright alright i’m coming” you yelled after her, starting to jog after her sprinting form.
How did she run in those chunky heels of hers?
=
You stared blankly at Ben as he finished talking about Mal and her use of the spellbook.
You understood the food spell, the blonde hair spell, the speed reading spell. But trying to spell Ben to forget their fight?
That….Mal needed to talk to someone about that, deleting your boyfriend's memories every time you fought was really bad and she thought it would work out in her favor?
You sighed, rubbing your forehead as Ben awkwardly looked to the side and rubbed his arm.  “so shes been obviously under a lot of stress from experiencing something BRAND NEW to her, and has had constant panic attacks, dissociates, and keeps talking to us about “what it would be like to go back to the isle”. And you yell at her that it's “hard” being a king? Ben, you’ve been trained to be king since you would think, Mal only JUST got into this life, you didn’t think she would need help transitioning from daughter of the mistress of all evil to the pretty perfect lady of the court? Shes not Audrey Ben, she's not me, she needs help learning and settling into the role. And if the spellbook helped her not explode from stress, then it helped.”
Ben looked thoroughly scorned, staring down at his hands in shame. “I know you love her and felt betrayed by her lying to you, which is valid, but yelling at her for something that she wasn’t prepared for and no one helped her in the long run, low blow Ben. Again, her trying to spell you to erase the fight is wrong and I will be talking to her about that, but you have to understand that shes not used to the life of royalty, and needs time to settle, shes not like Evie who just bounced into her life here.” You sighed as you finished your rant, leaning back in your chair and staring up at the ceiling.
“that….okay I definitely overreacted” Ben murmured to himself, leaning back in his chair and rubbing his face. “i’m really oblivious sometimes aren't I?”
“Since you were a kid beasty boy” you laughed, flinching as Evie suddenly walked into the room.
“Ben?” she spoke in a hurried tone, eyes watery and red. You and Ben sat up at that, your eyes drifting to the paper in Evie’s hand.
“Evie? What's up?” she numbly walked over to him and handed him the paper, sniffing slightly. Ben furrowed his brows as he took the paper, he opened it, his eyes widening in shock.
“Mal’s gone back to the isle” Evie muttered, glancing at you, who sat surprised in your seat. You stood and walked over to Ben, reading the note over his shoulder.
“im sorry Evie but I can't do this-“ Bens voice faded out as he read, his hand twitching as Evie handed him the ring he had given to Mal six months ago.
“this-this is my fault!” he muttered in a high pitched voice “this is my fault! I blew it!” a fake smile brimmed on his face, nervous laughter spilling from his lips. “she's been under so much pressure lately and instead of being understanding I just freaked out on her!!” he slammed his hand on his desk. You saw Evie flinch out of the corner of your eye.
“I have to go there and apologize” he realized, standing up fully and staring determined at Evie “ I have to go there and beg her to come back!”
“Ben you'll never find her” Evie tried, shoulders slumping as Ben walked away and stared out the window, hands on his hips. “you have to know the isle, and how it works an!-” Evie stopped, looking at Ben’s face through the reflection of the window “you have to take me with you” she muttered in a defeated voice.
Ben spun around, a hopeful look on his face.” yes” he caught your look “uh-uh are you sure?” Evie sighed and slightly shook her head.
“yeah,” she whispered “shes my best friend…and well bring the boys too because there's safety in numbers and none of us are too popular on the isle right now”
“then im coming too” Evie and Ben looked at you surprised, Evie blinking as she saw the harsh determination in your eyes “the more the safer right? I know i’m, not that “isle girl” you guys are but I need to help get Mal back” Evie nodded.
“Okay but let's get two things straight” you and Ben nodded “you have to promise me I won't get stuck there again.”
Ben kept his eyes locked with hers “I promise”
Her shoulders fell and she smiled a bit “and there's no way you two are going looking like that” you and Ben glanced at each other, shrugging.

“guess whos baack~” Harry sang as he struts into the chip shop, Uma eating at one of the circle tables. She turned and raised her brow.
“Malsy~” he purred, sliding in the chair opposite of Uma. Uma sat up, jaw-dropping.
“Are you for real?!” she screeched, a small smile stretching on her lips.
“aye, ~ saw ‘er in the little runt's hair salon, her hairs a nasty shade of pink now hehe” he cackled, setting down his hook and grabbing the bottle of rum.
“so what are we gonna do? Bake ‘er into a pie? Hang her from the mast?”
“nothing” Harry spit out the swig of rum, looking at Uma with wide eyes.
“n-nothing? Uma she-shes finally in our grasp and yeh want ta to nothing!?" Uma held up her hand, silencing him.
"nothing…yet. I want to see whats shes doing here, and if her friends came along with her, if they did well use them as leverage to get revenge" Harry sighed in relief and nodded.
“aye captain”

Imagine Steve/Avengers walking in to Tony entertaining two soldiers in the common room and being really confused because Tony??? Despises the military??? But then find out that those two soldiers are actually from the “fun-vee” way back in IM 1 and Tony’s fitting them with prosthetics.
ahhh this has been stuck in my head for DAYS anon! I don’t necessarily agree with the assessment that Tony hates the military, per se (doing business with the military and the military industrial complex, however, and all that that toxic shit entails, definitely yes), BUT it’s such a heartbreaking/warming concept I had to run with it! I think I got it right with Air Force vs Army, but the movie was kinda vague—I’m going off of the fact that the driver said “I’m an airman,” which you would not say if you were in the Army.
and since the airmen (and woman) Tony was traveling with in the Fun-Vee are canonically deceased, I thought I’d have Tony do something…well, Extremely Tony™ to compensate…
(::whispers:: also we’re just gonna pretend that the Bucky-killed-Tony’s-parents-revelations of Cap 2/3 aren’t a thing in this vaguely alternate MCU universe. la-di-da, la-di-da…)
***
It’s not surprising to walk into the Avengers common area and see Tony Stark working on something no one can quite comprehend. That’s par for the course, really, as commonplace as days that end in Y. Machines, phones, tablets, watches, the toaster after Hulk pressed the cancel button a little too hard—they’ve seen Tony futzing with just about everything that exists in the Tower (and some things that don’t—couldn’t—exist anywhere else except where Tony is).
What the team isn’t expecting when the elevator doors open onto the communal floor that sunny Tuesday afternoon is a living room scattered with men and women in various states of modest undress, all of whom immediately pivot in place to take stock of the new arrivals. Three men, one woman, and in the middle of their protective circle is Tony, eyes blazing with the same thrill of invention he often gets in the lab, a pair of needle-nose pliers clenched in his teeth.
Steve in particular notices the way Tony looks, because he’s developed a bad habit of doing that over the past year and change, and he’s kind of helpless at this point. Tony’s backlit by the afternoon sun, preoccupied with whatever he’s doing with the strange woman’s arm to distraction, and Steve can’t be judged too harshly—anyone with eyes would drag theirs over the exposed muscles of Tony’s arms, the shift and flex of his shoulders, the firm taper of his waist, the pronounced curve of his a—
“Are we, uh, interrupting something?” Clint has to shout to be heard above the music blasting from all corners of the room.
Tony looks up from his work and waves his free hand, the one that isn’t wrist-deep in what looks remarkably like a prosthetic arm. He makes a ‘cut it off’ motion to his neck before taking the pliers out of his mouth while FRIDAY lowers the rock music to a dull background hum.
“Hey! Sorry, I tried to keep it to the lab, but these guys wanted to see where the Avengers hang out, and I couldn’t say no.”
Steve tears his eyes away from Tony (who should really work the sweaty-and-disheveled-mechanic look more often) to take in the others in the room with him. It’s a panorama of people, and the first thing Steve notices, besides their more obvious differences, is how comfortable they all are with each other, to the point that walking in on this moment feels invasive, almost rude.
The four are all of remarkably different builds and backgrounds, not a similarity between them: an African American man, no taller than Steve was before the serum, sits on the couch; a white man, thin as a rake and twice as tall, is reaching for a glass of water on the coffee table; an Asian American man, whose shoulders are somehow even broader than Steve’s, stands rigidly next to Tony, arms folded across his chest; and the lone woman, whose glossy black hair is wound tightly in a bun at the back of her head. Steve notes the beautifully elaborate Native American tattoo covering the expanse of her shoulders and upper back.
Then Steve notices the high-and-tights, the form-fitting, drab beige shirts they’re all wearing, the combat boots lined up behind the loveseat, and he realizes, much like he did with Sam that morning in DC, oh—these are my people.
“Ah, well, welcome to the octagon!” Clint says with an easy smile, stepping forward to shake hands and say hello like a normal human being. Natasha gives Steve one of her looks before she and Sam follow him into the living room—I don’t know any more than you do.
Bruce, Wanda, and Vision stay behind with Steve to let the first wave through. Steve watches his teammates greet the airmen without fanfare, welcoming strangers into their private midst like it’s routine.
“Didn’t know y’all would be around, else we would’ve stayed outta sight.”
Sam laughs, clapping the sitting man on the shoulder. “Dude, if Tony told us you were here, I would have come downstairs and bugged you, myself.”
“Sure, PJ—you just wanted to see what real Air Force muscle looks like,” the man grins, flexing his barrel chest hard enough to strain his shirt. Sam guffaws and gives him a friendly punch to the shoulder, which the man returns in kind with a fist to the kidney.
Clint is already deep in conversation with the redheaded beanpole, who talks so fast it’s dizzying; Natasha is standing next to the third man, keeping her eyes forward, and together they watch Tony disappear back into his work, muttering things back and forth to each other, so quiet even Steve can’t hear.
“I think all is clear,” Vision says smoothly, drifting forward with Wanda, who is visibly fascinated by the woman’s tattoo until she steps into the throng and sees something that makes her face fall.
Steve moves forward, curious and worried in equal measure. Bruce is hot on his heels.
“—I mean it’s crazy right? It’s crazy, Tony Stark, Tony Stark calls us up out of the blue one day and says ‘You’ll be waiting six months to a year for a decent repair job, let alone a complete replacement, and I owe you guys, come on by Avengers Tower—”
Redhead is gabbing excitedly, gesticulating like Tony does when he’s in the mad depths of an invention binge. Steve sees the glint of metal and hears the whir of mechanisms working smoothly together in tandem and realizes both of the man’s hands are prosthetic.
“Oh man! Oh, man! Captain, sir, wow, it’s—fuck, shit, my mama would kill me for swearing in front of you, fucking—shit, sorry, fuck—ah, damn it!”
Steve smiles and introduces himself—Corporal Bill Levee, apparently, is just as talkative up close. For all that his hand is made of metal, his grip feels remarkably, tangibly real.
While Bill goes back to talking compound bows with Hawkeye, Steve looks at the man on the couch. Sam and Vision are now sitting on either side of him: both of his legs end at mid-thigh, and in their place are what look like brand-new metal limbs, designed to match his proportions exactly. The metal is dark, shiny, beautiful. He looks thrilled. He looks even more excited when Steve approaches, leaps to his feet and doesn’t even balk at the fact that Steve is a head and change taller than him and a superhero—he just steps right up to Steve and jabs him once in the shoulder with a grin.
“Captain Rogers,” he says, and sticks out his hand. Steve shakes it. The man points a thumb at himself: “Captain Freddy Harrison. A little after your time, sir, but an honor to meet you regardless.”
Bill is still talking a mile a minute behind him; Freddy sits back down on the couch and lets Steve continue his “Captain America Meet-and-Greet” but makes him promise to come back and swap stories, which Steve does, happily, even as his mind whirls. How does Tony know these people? Why are they here? Where did these prosthetics come from?
Bruce has joined Natasha, standing apart from the rest to talk to her and her new friend. Steve stops to say hello, as is only right, waiting until he’s entered the man’s line of sight to do so. Only then does he realize that the man has no line of sight, because both of his eyes are prosthetic.
“I’m not completely blind, Captain,” he says, voice low but good-humored. Next to him, Natasha smothers a smile behind her hand.
“Steve, this is Sergeant Daniel Kwon,” Bruce offers. The sergeant smirks and extends a hand—the eyes in his sockets look incredibly lifelike, but don’t move even a fraction of a millimeter. They gleam, still, with an uncanny sense of knowing. Steve has a sneaking suspicion they see more than enough and match his original eyes perfectly.
“I’ll still make an exception in your case, Sergeant Kwon,” Steve replies, shaking his hand, “for not saluting a ranking officer.”
Dan chuckles under his breath.
“Let’s see your battlefield commission and then we’ll talk rank, sir,” he says.
“Ugh, men.”
Steve turns around, and there’s Tony, flipping shut a panel high on the woman’s left arm with a smile. He pockets the pliers and drags the back of his forearm across his glistening forehead. Somewhere in the back of Steve’s mind, a saxophone is blaring.
Honestly, the intrusive thoughts he could deal with, but the fact that Tony looks this good after hours of hard labor really isn’t fair.
“Seriously, barely two minutes in and you military guys are at it like frat bros at a kegger.” Tony looks sidelong at the woman, who rolls her shoulders with a pop and a groan. “How do you manage?”
“Easy,” she says, “I let them drink until they pass out and then I run back to the women’s barracks with all their clothes so they have to walk across the TOC butt-naked.”
“I think we need to compare our respective strategies,” Natasha says, taking Wanda’s arm on her way to greet the other woman. “This is Wanda; I’m Natasha.”
The woman turns to face them. Her features are striking in a way that makes Steve think of old friends from the war, men he met on those rare occasions he had leave. He’d listen to Native American Code Talkers tell stories of land and legacy and home, stories older than anything Steve had ever known. He’d never been so humbled.
“Delores,” she replies, shaking their hands. “But please, call me Del, or I’ll never hear the end of it.”
Steve looks at Tony, who giggles—giggles—and mouths ‘Umbridge.’ Del must have ears like a bat, because she smacks him smartly with her prosthetic arm and Tony yelps before devolving into outright laughter. Steve could watch and listen to Tony laugh—that big, gut-wrenching cackle Tony thinks is unattractive but Steve thinks makes Tony look like happiness personified—all day.
The conversation devolves quickly from there, and within a couple of excitable minutes, the airmen are eager to get a look at the Avengers’ game room. They pile into the elevator, talking animatedly over each others’ heads, placing bets and picking teams as the doors close.
In their wake, Steve’s ears are buzzing, and he realizes with a jolt that he’s now alone. With Tony.
It happens often enough that the fact itself isn’t jarring, but something about being alone with disheveled-frazzled-happy-sweaty Tony sets Steve’s nerves on high alert. Tony is loose-limbed and relaxed, moving in and out of Steve’s space as he picks his way around the living room barefoot, looking for discarded tools.
“There you are,” he coos at a tiny device that looks remarkably like a laser pointer. Knowing Tony, it’s probably a real laser. He pockets it, assumably to put away later (or fish out of the laundry at the last minute).
“Who are those people, Tony?”
“Friends of friends,” Tony replies. Steve also knows Tony well enough to recognize his I am being deliberately vague voice when he hears it.
“Uh-huh.” Steve sits on the arm of the sofa, legs stretched out in front of him. “And who are they really?”
“Who wants to know?”
“Me,” Steve says gently, scratching his palms with dulled fingernails. “They’re strangers, and they’re in our home. I think if you were in my shoes you’d want to know.”
Tony stoops to pick up and pocket what looks like a dissected nine-volt battery. Steve kind of wants to ask, but he’s too distracted by Tony’s ass in those black Levis to ask any cogent questions. Seriously, he wonders, are those painted on?
Only when Tony sighs, and quite heavily, that Steve realizes this was more than just a friendly house call (of sorts) on Tony’s part. He watches Tony stand up, facing the floor-to-ceiling windows bright with the glow of sunset, and admires the way Tony suits the view so perfectly. He looks good all the time, but like this—skin burnished gold, brown eyes honeyed by the light—he’s something else. Someone Steve wants, desperately, but like most things in his life, knows he’s not allowed to have. Tony Stark is beyond him in so many ways. Reaching for him seems futile, so Steve stays on the ground, and looks.
Tony fidgets nervously with a mini Phillips Head screwdriver, twiddling it in his long, clever fingers as he stares out the windows at the city sprawled out beneath them.
“They’re from the same company as the guys in the convoy I was with when I—when they—” his voice sputters out before he can say the words. Steve doesn’t push. He doesn’t say anything. He just waits for Tony to gather himself. It’s one of the hardest lessons he’s had to learn about Tony Stark—sometimes it’s better to let him get a handle on himself, rather than jump in and try to handle Tony for him. It doesn’t change the fact that Steve wants nothing more than to hold his hand, now that it’s hanging at his side like its string was just cut. “A while back I dug into Air Force records, talked to Rhodey, got some names. Five people died in the hit that was meant for me. I figured, the least I could do was find five of their closest buddies who needed help.”
Tony glances back at Steve—the little smile on his lips could break Steve’s heart if he let it.
“And I’ve heard you talk about how convoluted the VA is when it comes to services and benefits and whatnot. I figured, my tech probably took their limbs, I should cut out the middle man and give them new ones, myself.”
Something in Steve’s heart shifts irrevocably before kicking into a whole new gear. By the end of the sentence, Steve knows he’s going to do something incredibly rash, the only question is when.
Funny—ten minutes ago he was coming back from a team exercise, prepared to give Tony a friendly but firm talking-to about missing it, and instead here he is, breathless, heart racing, sitting and listening to Tony talk humbly about fixing people because he knows it’s the right thing to do. Because it’s the least he can do. And isn’t that the wildest understatement Steve’s ever heard?
As if anything about Tony Stark could ever possibly be least.
“You built them all those prosthetics?”
“Top of the line!” Tony smirks, saluting Steve with his Phillips Head. “Nothing more high tech in any of them than a heart rate monitor and some other odds and ends—no rocket launcher eyes, don’t worry. I kept my baser urges in check with these.”
“It’s good,” Steve blurts out, too loud and too fast. Tony inhales sharply, fingers clenching around the screwdriver hard enough his knuckles go white. Steve feels his face go hot and groans. “I mean, what you did—what you’re doing—is good, Tony. It’s really generous of you to do that for those guys.”
Steve crosses his arms across his chest to make himself feel safer, more contained. If he doesn’t, who knows where these ridiculous feelings might go. He feels silly enough as it is, blushing and stammering while dressed in his uniform, sans helmet. Even Tony’s probably wondering why he’s wasting his time talking to a red-white-and-blue fossil when he could be downstairs destroying Clint and the others at pool or showing the airmen around the tower, giving them the bells-and-whistles tour.
Tony looks at the floor, away from Steve. Steve feels it like a physical thing, Tony pulling away, retreating, wanting to hide. Amazing, how a man who almost literally wears his heart on his sleeve still thinks he doesn’t have one.
“Yeah, well,” Tony mutters, “it’s good practice, anyways.”
Steve’s thoughts grind to a halt.
“Practice for what?”
Tony starts moving around, shuffling back and forth across the living room floor, looking for something that probably isn’t there. Steve knows when Tony is avoiding eye contact with him—it happens often enough.
“Just a pet project, nothing major. Hey, have you seen my cable knife anywhere?”
“Did you leave it on the floor? Tony…”
“I know, I know, the only thing worse is Legos, but I was busy! You can’t blame me for—OW FUCK!”
Like a shot, Steve is up and holding on to Tony so he doesn’t hop backwards into the glass coffee table. One arm wrapped around his back and the other hand on his bicep, Steve steadies Tony as Tony searches underfoot for whatever hurt him.
He comes up with a magnet the size of a dime.
“Ha,” Tony wheezes. “Speaking of Legos.” He drops it into his pocket along with the laser pointer and whatever else is in there and hangs his head. Rubbing his brow, Tony says: “God. I could sleep for a week after today.”
Steve keeps holding Tony. He should let go, but opportunities like this so rarely present themselves. Plus, Tony feels so good under his hands, strong and warm and just small enough to envelope in a hug if Steve let himself, if Tony wanted him to, and Tony does look dead on his (adorable, bare) feet…
“What else have you been working on today? This pet project?”
“Hah?” Tony breathes, still wincing slightly from stepping on the magnet. “Oh yeah. For Bucky, when you find him. Ow, motherfucker, that hurt…”
The thing about being in Tony Stark’s presence is, it’s so easy to lose the plot. Tony’s mind moves faster than Steve could ever hope to match, mentally or physically; he’s always one pace behind, catching up. It’s fine, though; he actually kind of likes it, being challenged the way Tony challenges him, delighting in the push-pull of their banter and debates, the way Tony teaches him about science and tech and the 21st century without being condescending. Steve gets to a point where he thinks he knows Tony, how he operates, how his brain works—then moments like this happen, and it’s like he’s sprinted smack into a brick wall.
“What?”
“What?”
“Bucky, you said—are you designing a new arm? For Bucky?”
Tony seems to notice their position at that exact moment. Steve feels him blaze with heat where his hands are touching Tony’s bare skin.
“Uh. Maybe?” At Steve’s look, Tony bites his lip and sighs. “Fine. Yeah, I am. Can you blame me? The thought of Sputnik wandering around the tower with that Cold War-era paperweight hanging off him when I’ve got brand-spanking-new, finely-tuned StarkTech all but ready to go? Perish, Steve, perish the thought.”
Tony is smiling up at him from his place in Steve’s arms, relaxed now, almost leaning into him, and all Steve can think is, he belongs here.
“What’s that face?” Tony asks, curious but still smiling. He pokes Steve in the middle of the forehead with a cheeky grin. “Keep frowning like that, your face’ll stick.”
When, apparently, is right now.
When Steve reaches up and takes Tony’s hand, he gets to watch Tony’s thoughts run into the wall, for once.
When he weaves their fingers together, he gets to watch Tony’s mouth click shut and his eyes go wide. Super-hearing means he can count the beats of Tony’s racing heart without having to feel them. Steve’s telegraphing every movement, every feeling, as much as he possibly can now that words seem to have escaped him.
He must manage okay, because the look that passes over Tony’s face is the same one Steve’s seen in the mirror a thousand times since the day he realized he was halfway in love with Tony Stark: wonder, one part lost, one part found.
When he leans down, slowly, Steve gets to watch Tony’s beautiful eyes flicker and shut. He counts the dark lashes where they rest on Tony’s high cheekbones, breathes in his smell and listens to the shudder in his exhale before drawing him in for a kiss that draws everything else to a quiet, blissful blank.
When Tony pushes his fingers up into Steve’s hair, scratching lightly at the nape of his neck, Steve drops his arms around Tony’s waist and pulls him in close with a soft groan. He’s warm and messy and still holding that damn screwdriver, but he kisses Steve soft and eager like it’s the only thing he wants to do for the rest of his life, folds himself into Steve’s embrace like he wants to build a home right there in his arms.
One day Steve will tell him he already did, a long time ago, and it wasn’t the least of anything.

Both men were longtime taxi drivers from Romania. Both were worried about paying their bills as Uber decimated their industry. They were best friends. And both had struggled with depression.
Nicanor Ochisor’s wife dragged him to a doctor in March to get help. Two days later, he hanged himself in his garage.
“I didn’t know he was so depressed,” his friend, Nicolae Hent, said.
Mr. Hent had taken antidepressants. He wished he could have told Mr. Ochisor that it would get better.
“I didn’t know. I still feel bad even now — why I didn’t know that,” Mr. Hent said recently as he drove his taxi through Queens.
Mr. Ochisor was one of six professional drivers to commit suicide in New York in the last year — a crisis that has prompted a flurry of legislation to address the despair plaguing the industry. Most were men in their 50s and 60s anguished about their finances and feeling hopeless about being able to retire.
Many taxi drivers are under incredible stress, but Mr. Ochisor’s story shows how difficult it can be to convince those with severe depression to talk about it. Life behind the wheel of a taxi can be solitary and the job tends to attract independent-minded people who might not feel comfortable talking about emotions that can carry a stigma.

But city officials are urging drivers to seek help. In August, the City Council approved a cap on Uber and other ride-hail vehicles — the first major American city to rein in the booming apps. Now the Council is considering a separate set of bills that would establish a health fund for drivers and create “driver assistance centers” for mental health counseling and financial advice.
One bill aims to help taxi medallion owners saddled with massive debt. Corey Johnson, the Council speaker, said the city was considering several measures to do that, including a partial bailout or a hardship fund for medallion owners who drive their taxis — not for large-scale owners like Michael Cohen, President Trump’s former lawyer who with his wife owned more than 30 medallions.
“For the smaller individual medallion owners, what can we do to help them get out from under this crushing debt?” Mr. Johnson said in an interview, adding that the Council should vote on the bills by the end of the year. “We’re trying to figure out a way to do that.”
The recent string of suicides and the intense publicity they have received are now prodding drivers to speak more openly about their mental health — with each other and with their families. As their industry collapses, the conversations among drivers are different, from sharing photos of their grandchildren or talking about hobbies like winemaking, to discussing how they are going to survive.
Lal Singh, a taxi driver for three decades, said he had thought about suicide as he endured long hours driving his taxi and worried about paying off the loan he had taken out to buy it.
“When I hear that somebody did suicide, I was thinking about me,” Mr. Singh said as he waited at the taxi parking lot at Kennedy International Airport on a recent afternoon. “I’m going to be one of them one day.”
Mr. Singh, who is 62, owes about $6,200 a month on the taxi medallion he bought in 2000. He often drives a long stretch of Manhattan, from Harlem to Wall Street, looking in vain for passengers.

“When you have nothing to do, we are suffering,” Mr. Singh said. “What are you living for?”
At the airport taxi lot on a recent afternoon, taxi driver after driver complained of mounting debt and of feeling abandoned by the city, which has made millions of dollars selling medallions. A taxi medallion, the aluminum plate required to drive a cab in New York, once sold for more than $1 million but is now worth less than $200,000. Many drivers still owe hundreds of thousands of dollars in loans.
One taxi driver, Muhammad Anil, said his children had seen the headlines about the suicides and asked him if he was O.K. Mr. Anil, 57, told them he was fine, though he is concerned about the more than $500,000 he owes on his medallion.
“I don’t want them to worry about me too much,” he said.
Middle-age drivers may be particularly vulnerable. The suicide rate for people between the ages of 45 and 64 has jumped in recent years, more than for other age groups, said Barbara Stanley, a psychology professor at Columbia University. Suicide is a deeply personal decision and it is difficult to know for certain the factors that drive a person to make that choice.
The drivers, Dr. Stanley said, “might have been depressed in the past or had a vulnerability to depression and you combine it with these terrible environmental stressors and that’s a recipe for disaster.”
Still, many drivers are resistant to the idea of therapy.
“They’ve driven their whole lives,” said Meera Joshi, the city’s taxi commissioner. “There’s a tremendous amount of pride involved, rightfully so. Part of our messaging is that there’s no shame to needing mental health help.”
At 70, Harbans Singh still works 12-hour shifts in his taxi to pay off his medallion debt. Mr. Singh said he was not interested in counseling, adding that he relied on his Sikh faith.
“We don’t need counseling from the T.L.C.,” he said in reference to the city’s Taxi and Limousine Commission, which oversees the industry. “I don’t trust the T.L.C.”

Many drivers have said the best way to help is to offer them financial assistance. But the city is in a difficult position. Any bailout of medallion owners could cost billions of dollars, and officials have said they cannot offer residents a payout unless they are indigent or legally broke. Lyft, another popular app, had discussed the idea of a $100 million “hardship fund” for drivers, paid for by the tech companies, but only if the city dropped the proposal for a cap.
Marlow Pierre, a taxi driver who leases his medallion, said the best solution would be to further restrict Uber.
“Let us get back to business,” Mr. Pierre said. “All these guys want to do is work.”
Two days before his death, Mr. Ochisor saw a doctor and started taking an antidepressant. But it was too late. “He was worrying too much,” Mr. Hent said. “He told me many, many times, we have to work until we die.”
Gabriel Ochisor has taken over managing his father’s taxi, which his mother Helen and another driver still operate. The taxi failed a recent inspection because of a ripped seat.
“I can see why you would get stressed and pull your hair out,” Gabriel Ochisor said.
Mr. Hent sought help from a doctor around 2005 after a crippling anxiety attack, due in part to the stresses of his job. He started taking two antidepressants and learned coping strategies. He took up tennis.
“I saw how many people are sick in America” with depression, Mr. Hent said. “I said, ‘Oh I can take care of this.’”
Now Mr. Hent, who is 62 and owes about $130,000 on his medallion, is pushing the city to assist taxi drivers. He spoke at a recent Council hearing, waiting three hours for his turn — time spent away from making money in his taxi.
“I’m not going to kill myself,” Mr. Hent said. “I won’t kill nobody. But I’ll fight until I die.”

Do i have to inform my car insurance company if i move?
I'm under my dad's insurance. He is listed as the primary driver. My mom and I are under the same policy. It expired on 10/15 and we renewed the policy the same day for another 6 months. Well, I am moving tomorrow to another county about 30 miles away and we didn't think about the insurance. I am also about to turn in to the DMV a notice of change of address. Do I need to notify the insurance company? Since I am living on my own, will it force me to be on my own policy? Another sideball question: I am in ownership of my mom's car and my dad is in ownership of my car (my car is newer so Dad wanted cheaper insurance). However policy does match me driving the newer car. How could we do this with me moving out with the new car (not the car that I own under DMV).""

I'm trying to get auto insurance for the second 6-month period of having my car. Commission - Harry Hook x Reader- do I love her? Do I love her not? - part 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media
commission from @musicarose
And for the multipartner is the idea that Harry, Uma and Gil get a chance to go to Auradon. They want to destroy the barrie. Harry tries to seduce and use Ben's best friend (Reader) for it. In the time he really falls in love with her. When the truth comes out, the three have to go back to the island. She is devastated and ashamed. When Harry comes back, he tries to convince her that he really loves her.
=
Harry squinted as he stepped out of the limo, six months after the core four had arrived at auradon, the next group had finally been invited to join.
Uma, Gil, Dizzy Tremaine, and himself, Harry Hook, were finally setting foot on auradon ground, six months after the start of King Bens “bring vks to auradon” project.
He, Gil, and Uma shared a glance, they were going to burn this place to the ground.
“Welcome!” there he was King Ben, the purple traitor by his side, her once dark purple hair a lighter lilac. “I am so happy you are all finally here, I apologize for the wait, the council was being very stubborn”
Ben walked forward, trying to shake their hands, which Harry begrudgingly reached out and shook Bens's hand, giving a tight-lipped smile.
Ben laughed as Dizzy declined the handshake and leaped into his chest, wrapping her arms around his torso.
“thank you thank you thank you, Ben! Oh! Do we get ice cream? Is there a pool? Closets?! Wheres Evie!?” Ben gently put Dizzy back down on the ground, patting her head.
“Evie’s actually getting your room ready, I’ll take you to her on the tour, now! Let's get started shall we?” Uma sighed, reluctantly following Ben nodding her head for Harry and Gil to follow.
“so! 20 years ago, my father---”
=
“so” Uma started, a “pretty” smile on her face “we’re’s our rooms? Im exhausted and im going to need to rest up for my classes tomorrow!”
Ben grinned, pulling out his phone “of course, now you'll have a roommate as we already placed Dizzy with Jane, so (y/n) will be your roommate”
Uma raised her brow “who?” a girl came from around the corner, wearing a denim jacket with a black shirt underneath, a short dark blue skirt, black ripped tights with dark blue converse on her feet.
“that would be me” you chirped, patting Ben’s back as you passed him. He smiled, gesturing to you as he began to speak.
“This is (y/n), my best and oldest friend”
You grinned, turning to uma “so if you would follow me to our room?”
Harry smirked, swaggering forward bowing slightly as he grasped your hand and brought it to his lips
“well” he purred “never known such a bonny lass lived in auradon~ if I knew tha’ I would’ve accepted the invite sooner~” you laughed, heat building up in your cheeks.
“well aren’t you a charmer~” you teased, pulling your hand out of his, and patting his shoulder. You turned back to uma “so the room?”
Uma sighed and nodded, waving off Gil and Harry, letting Ben lead the two boys to their room.
You noted Uma was silent as you walked to your room, you hoped she liked the way you decorated her half of the room.
Uma raised her brows as she entered the room, expecting pink everything, getting ocean-themed murals across the walls, transitioning from sunrise breaching the sea to a moon reflecting across the water.
On what she assumed to be her side of the room, was a four-poster bed with sheer ocean green curtains, an ombre teal-turquoise duvet with light blue sheets.
“huh,” Uma muttered, walking up and pushing into the conch shell pillow.
“do you like it?” you asked, flopping down on your own bed, uma gave a shallow nod, she did, she honestly did.
“that’s good hope you don’t mind all the art, I have anxiety and painted helps me calm down” uma hummed, glancing around at the walls.
“I like it” she muttered, smiling slightly. you grinned, bouncing slightly. “I hoped you would!” uma squinted, spinning in place to get a full look at the room.
“so do you know where Harry and Gil are at?” Uma asked looking back over to you, which you nodded at.
“yep, from here it's left down the hall, take two lefts and you'll be in the boy's dorms, 213” Uma nodded, flinching when you tossed something to her, she quickly caught the item, glancing down at the dorm key.
“so you can get back in” you chirped, uma nodded once more, turning and heading out the door.
=
“shes bens friend right?” Gil mumbled, messing with the tv remote “shed probably has some sort of access or knowledge of the wand right?” harry and uma stopped, looking over at Gil, who shrugged.
“what?”
“gil” uma grinned “that’s it! We’ll get close to her, and then bam! We get her to steal the wand and Auradon will be ours!”
Harry cackled, smacking his knee “aye! Now, whos gonna start?” uma grinned, remembering how giggly (y/n) had gotten when harry had kissed her hand and flirted with her.
“you” Harry blinked, dropping a cookie he had been reaching for “you are going to do your thing~”
Harry gave a feral grin “seduce and steal em blind?”
“aye!” Uma cackled, already tasting revenge~
And you sat in your room, humming to yourself, not knowing what the three new VKs were planning for Auradon.
And as for Harry, well….he was in for a ride.

"In Alabama, is it hard to get insurance for a Jeep if...?
i'm turning 16 soon. Getting my intermediate license, then six months later i'll get my real license. I've been looking at Jeep Wranglers, but i've decided I need something that gets a little better gas milage. So now i've really come to like Jeep Grand Cherokee's. The price of the Jeep isn't a problem, I can pay for the gas too. But the insurance is another. Does anyone have any clue how much insurance might be? I think my mom is with progressive if it matters. Thanks in advance!

Really dumb questions about car insurance?
This is my first time buying a car, and I have a question that may be kind of dumb. I live in Illinois, so it is illegal to drive a car that's uninsured. I don't have a car now, so I don't have a way of transferring insurance or whatever. - What do I do when I find a car and buy it and need to take it off the lot? I don't know what kind of car I'm getting, so I can't really get the insurance ahead of time. - If I did get pulled over for whatever reason, would the police be understanding if I just bought the car? - How quickly do insurance companies usually get you covered over the phone (particularly, Progressive)? - Do you have to pay a deposit? When? - When would my first actual payment be if I pay once every 6 months? I know these are dumb and basic, but please understand that I have never ever bought a car or gotten car insurance.""

How much will I pay for motorcycle vs. moped insurance in Wa state?
How much will I pay for motorcycle vs. moped insurance in Wa state? M/19/3 accidents? First of all, I'm tired of trying to get quotes online. Could someone with some experience or knowledge around this give me a fairly accurate ballpark of what it would cost to insure myself? I live in Washington state, I'm a 19 year old male, and I've been in 3 accidents. The first was early December 2010, the second was late December 2010, both. Both were my fault, rear enders, and low speeds. The first one earned me a ticket for basically not paying attention, no injuries occurred. The first was a little over $3000 in damage, the second was 500-1000 and totalled the 99 vw jetta. The third accident was driving my girlfriends car and my insurance company was never involved. It was about 1600 in damages and was determined to be 50/50 fault by her, and the other drivers insurance companies. There will be 3 people total in the house, all of us drive. I'm looking into either a mid-late 80's Honda, a Rebel possibly, some kind of cafe racer, or a newer 2000's moped. All used, I'm looking in the 600-1000 range. Lower cost health insurance recommendations needed?
I'm hoping to be working in a few more days thru a staffing agency but their insurance isnt very good, over $800/month for my son and I and VERY limited medical. He has ADHD and has to have coverage. I doubt if we qualify for any state assistance too. But I've looked at a few individual plans thru various carries and they arent much better... for just over $350/month we're both covered (not including dental or vision) but the deductible is SUPER high does anyone know of any insurances with individual plans with a decent price and coverage. We're in California""

Hi guys my friend is selling his Piper Warrior and I'm interested in purchasing it with no licenses. Obviously I would have my friends who are CFI qualified with me every time I am in the aircraft until I do acquire the license. Will my Insurance go any higher if paid off by Collision ?
I bought my Acura in 2006 and have been in mint condition since then. Recently, the snow plougher scratched my car and didnt leave a note. I called the manger of the snow plougher and filed the police report. He took the responsibility but during the report he said that he will give the name of the driver and vehicle later. After few weeks when I didnt hear I called the manager and he said his company will not cover anything and I can do whatever I can.... I called my insurance company and they are willingly to cover through my insurance - Collision, instead of comprehensive. The repair is $2000 + rental car for 9 days ~$2500. My deductible is $100 for collision and $50 for comprehensive. Do you think if they use Collision my insurance rate will go higher ? [Ofcourse I dont have any choice at this time. my insurance company said they cannot file a lawsuit or anything against the snow plougher company]""

In Alabama, is it hard to get insurance for a Jeep if...?
i'm turning 16 soon.
