Artist note: I’m so proud of this :))) I know it’s a lot of dialogue and reading, but dialogue is grueling work for me. I’m glad with the art and for the amount of pages I made in such a relatively short time span -w- page 5 was super fun to work on. A lot of blood, sweat, and hours here... :) The backgrounds were a big bore tbh, but I finished them! Yippie!

WE'RE IN THE HOME STRETCH NOW GAMERS

incase its not clear, anything with the blue shit on it is not yet painted at all yet. margaret's hair will be easier than the other two's because its blurry and its mostly shapes instead of individual hairs. my entire day was spent just painting these idiots' clothes.

also worked on bjs mouth and moustache more. still wanna fix up hawkeye's mouth and eyes a little but thats tomorrows issue, i need rest.

I am very sleepy. i will go to bed at 1 instead of 2 am tonight [no i wont, but i WILL lie down at 1 instead of 2]

tomorrow, we finish. i realize it looks like theres a lot of blue on the screen but you must understand. doing blurry un-detailed things takes less than half of the time it takes to do a small portion of a face. i will persevere

I don't know anything about swans so maybe this isn't accurate, but I do have a pet bird and holding him like Leo is holding Donnie would be an INCREDIBLE show of trust. Sleeping so close to a human-not even napping, full-on beak under his wing fast asleep, even my 'tiel doesn't normally sleep like that when he naps on me. And allowing Leo to wrap his arms around his wings means Swanny must feel VERY safe with him. It's sad and heartwarming all at the same time.

I FUCKIGN LOVE THEM they're so good... entirely platonic m/f relationships have always made me so happy, because they rarely exist without eventually becoming a weird romantic thing

so to have Frank and Julie be best buddies!!! that's so important!! i love it! also they're just so cute... they have the same sense of humor... Julie makes Frank laugh... they tease each other... they play games... they love each other so much!!! whenever i see art of them or they're being pals in a fic, my shriveled heart grows half a size <3

i'm currently having a fascinating flareup where everything in my body is on fire, but instead of sleeping through it like i used to, i'm combating the physical urge to leave my apartment at 4:30 AM in my good shoes and literally just run as far as i physically can before i finally collapse and have to call a lyft home. this is not a practical thing to do when you still have a migraine that means you cannot look at streetlights or headlights or the rising sun. so i googled "why does pain make me want to run," because i thought surely this isn't just a me thing, maybe there's a pinched nerve somewhere or a muscular issue i can resolve, i Know there are subreddits Filled with chronic pain tips, whatever. unfortunately, google is not built for this kind of literalism, and so the entire first page of results is just ["you forget to cherish her" voice] "Oh..... Sweetheart..... Poor Suffering Babbu.... Honey Bunches Of Oats..... You Are So Afraid..... Of Your Own Self....."

It started with the ringing of Villain’s phone. He wasn’t surprised to see Hero’s name pop up. He admired the too-small circle with her picture on it. It was impossible to tell by looking at the emblem, but Villain knew it was a picture from their first date.

To think it had been five years ago...

Villain’s picture on Hero’s phone had been a more recent photo, one from their engagement. An image of him kneeling with the classic black velvety case. It was warm the day of their engagement- Villain didn’t dare propose on a cold day; it would have led to an obvious refusal.

He used to joke that warmth was the only reason Hero even liked him. “You scorn me constantly,” Villain would tease. “You only like me because of the heat I so generously produce.”

“As if you have any control over it! You can’t help that you’re so warm, but it is definitely a plus,” she would ultimately agree.

Now, they were married- and, oh, hadn’t it been a dream? Looking for homes, buying a home, getting groceries, coming home to one another, holding each other at the end of the day. It was all Villain wanted in life, and for so long, it seemed impossible. Yet, here they were; her joyful face was beaming at his under the name ‘Love of my life’.

Answering the phone, Villain jokingly began, “Yes, honey, I remembered to get the bread and eggs.”

The voice that answered wasn’t Hero’s.

Life is about to get more chaotic than we thought 🥹 so I'll remain a little more quiet than usual!

We can get into our new home early so we'll spend the weekend painting walls and cleaning next to garden maintenance.

On top of that I need to help my mom plan a funeral for her father (I haven't seen that man in 10+ years- I don't care much so no condolences please).

And next week my lovely Virtue is coming to visit for a while and I CANT WAIT!!
