I'm going to say it right now but I really heavily doubt once SK flowers is done airing it's final episode next week, we aren't going to get a new anime announcement regarding the other spinoffs and TSS. As much as I love to see the spinoffs getting animated as well as wishing to see my biggest huge OTP's happy moments and such with their older versions in animated form, it all comes down to how well a anime series REALLY does in Japan including money as well. And honestly, I am not 100% certain how popular SK flowers is in Japan but I have this very feeling it's... Not that popular at all on a wide scale.

Sure they have good well pacing in the anime this time, the animation is good and feels somewhat improved since they have the good amount of budget for it, and the way the staff/director handled it overall is pretty enjoyable to watch (and loved that they expanded/throw in stuff that weren't in the manga to make it even more better) While the anime itself does has it's ups, there's also the downs and that is again, being how well received it is in Japan. I have my doubts that we are never going to get the other spinoffs animated and SK in general will never get any other anime adaptions ever again because of these following factors:

According to both websites,animestore.docomo.ne and nico nico douga is where jpn fans would vote which animes are more favored in the specific season and year, in both of these lists, SK flowers is nowhere near ranked on the top numbers as they are either listed in the 27th place, 36th place or in 45th place.

SK flowers does not have a lot of merch being made while it aired. On the other hand, a lot of merch was being made and produced during the time SK reboot aired.

Low engagement of numbers from fans and viewers. When the announcement and anime came out, there wasn't a big wave of fanarts coming out. There aren't as many big huge numbers of engagement either from the official anime twitter where whenever they tweeted out news regarding flowers anime, the numbers on the RTS and likes aren't that insanely high as the numbers were in sometimes 50 to about 100+ but not of thousands and thousands of numbers in the engagement (The same is also applied to the SK hashtag too, new flowers episode would drop and only few hundreds of numbers of fans commented/reacted but not on a higher scale of thousands or more)

Those are all of the things I've noticed and it's why I hold strong doubts we will never get RC, marcos or TSS adapted or any other SK stories getting another anime adaption ever again. That is, unless if the bluerays / DVDS, the upcoming drama CD's as well as other new potential merch (that might be made after the anime is done airing) gets sold well or heck if they even all get sold out then we might have a potential future for SK sequels to live on in the anime department. But for now, we'll just have to see where the future goes.

I bet my money next week when the final SK flowers episode airs, we are likely going to get a new announcement of SK TSS returning with a new manga but under a new title lol

It's come in 3 forms:

1. saying "where were you when the IDF did [X crime] to [Y woman]?" to people they've literally never met and do not know the politics of. They're just assuming that anyone distressed at the footage is a Jewish/Israeli supremacist who doesn't care for innocent slaughtered Palestinian people.

These whataboutery addicts are disingenuous as all fuck, and completely desensitised to acts of violence, so much so that they project their own inability to extend compassion for murder victims on "the other side", onto those whose tweets they're replying to. Victims are just gotchas to them.

But they're cupcakes compared to the next 2 categories.

2. saying that these men's murders of women, abduction of elderly ladies (separate viral incident) and other crimes against civilians is a justified reaction against apartheid and/or settler colonialism, and that Israeli people have had it coming.

I cannot believe I have to say this, but regardless of your opinion on the conflict, whether you’re a Zionist or believe Israel is an apartheid state, if you believe random women, young and old, and their children, being abducted, bombed, raped, murdered and paraded through the streets by men, is a justified response to oppression, then you are dead inside. That’s not brave rebellion. It’s plain old male savagery.

There is, sadly, an academic case which could be made that such brutalities assist the war effort of a nation to gain independence – this being a reference to the fact that the most savage empires, the ones willing to commit the most gruelling acts, tend to be the ones to come out on top during wars. History shows us - think of Rome, Japan, etc.

But your political view on the conflict should have a 0% impact on this fundamental principle: as a feminist, you do not EVER, FUCKING EVER, think that a woman on "the other side" of a mens war deserves to die.

To accuse someone of not caring about dead Palestinian women, as pro-Palestine Twitter have been doing all day, to random stranger who simply said "this is horrific" re: the dead woman in the truck, is:

a) to project your own heartlessness toward women on "the other side" onto them.

b) to further normalise the glorification of violent men, under this false veneer of their crimes being a necessary and justified revolt against whatever type of oppression they have in their society. As if stripping a woman bare and parading her through the streets has ever been a practically useful or ethical war tactic.

And c) to imply that those on "the other side" deserve whatever cruel fate meets them, simply because the male class of their society committed unjustifiable crimes.

I cannot think of anything less pro-woman, anything less feminist, than that.

I took a lot of time to sit down and really think about Leon and what he would've been like growing up, what he would like and how he would interact with others, so I really thank you for mentioning that my headcanons are realistic and thought out! :)

So, for your first question, I honestly think he would prefer a civilian, someone detached to his line of work so he doesn't have to think about it while with them. I did mention in my headcanons that he has a preference for dark colored hair (due to just who he's seemed very close to in canon), but I think other than that?

They can look however, he wouldn't be picky (but really I don't think he would be picky when he was younger? My headcanon about him being awkward, he may be a bit of a loser in his personal life Imfao.)

But!! He could prefer someone the complete opposite of the ones he's constantly around so, in regards to physical appearance, someone who doesn't really care to exercise or isn't chiseled from strenuous activities that comes with fighting bioterrorism.

Dare I say...perhaps someone softer, curvier or plus size? (I never specity it, but when I do write my inserts it's never with someone skinny in mind due to my own body type.)

As for your second question:

it's sort of funny sort of fascinating how river consults the diary about Demon's Run in the show (and maybe another big event i'm forgetting) cause on one hand, it's for the audience, to let the audience know what's happening and that she's future river at that point, but on another hand...

i find it incredibly hard to believe that she wouldn't have everything about Demon's Run memorized. river's general feelings about That as a whole are pretty much up to interpretation as she's river and hides the damage and lies constantly (affectionate) and also they (the show itself) never give her time to do so, but that monumental event in her life? yes, i think it's not impossible to say she'd study it. but it's also pretty easy to tell that she uses the diary as a crutch in an emotional way

for her meeting/reuniting with a younger version of the doctor, it's sort of a shield, she's trying to use it to say "look! we have a future together where you trust me implicitly! i've lived it! trust me" (and here i'm thinking of flesh and stone and the library eps)

with the Demon's Run one, she uses it for herself, it's not a shield for the doctor, she even turns around from rory. she's using it to stabilize herself. but she could also be sort of checking through it, like she's double checking, making sure the information she remembers is right

her childhood was extremely up to whatever you could glean from s6 but to be somewhat raised in that orphanage with the Silence without an eyepatch to remember them, along with the fact that she didn't even remember Madame Kovarian makes me want to believe that she probably has memory issues. it sort of adds up, the diary itself, the reason why she "has pictures of all of his faces" and uses that to justify why she always knows it's him (so late in her personal timeline, she should already know all versions of him it's not that hard. also she was raised to kill him. im sure they taught her that too Imfao)
