could you maybe elaborate on the whole ”cold season is a nightmare” thing? like maybe how many times he gets sick? that would be totally awesome. (ur work is legit so good, i aspire to write sneezes that good one day🫡)
of course! thank you so much, i’m glad you enjoy my writing :) i hope you enjoy this sick eddie ficlet! (slight snz kink steve)
“Can I get you anything, love?” Steve asks sympathetically. Eddie is strewn over his lap on the couch, breathing congestedly and trying not to let the grim reaper take him away (his words, not Steve’s).
“A new immunde systemb?” Eddie jokes. His pink nostrils flare delicately, raw and bothered from hours of sneezing.
Unsurprisingly, Eddie caught another cold. He’s never been particularly healthy, but cold season always kicks his ass. It seems like every time he gets healthy again, he gets knocked down by some illness. Of course, hanging out with kids all the time hasn’t helped.
Eddie’s chest rises and falls abnormally as his breath catches. Steve reacts before Eddie does, grabbing the (already damp) bandana from Eddie’s lap and massaging the sick boy’s nose.
“Snff… heh…” a sneeze teases the sick boy. His brows are furrowed, mouth slightly agape, pink nose trembling with anticipation for the expulsion. Steve rubs at Eddie’s nose softly with the fabric, either trying to coax out a sneeze or quell the itch. Eddie’s nose decides on the former.
"h'PSHHH! eh EH'K'TSHH! N'GXSHT!"
His body jolts forwards with each sneeze; Steve frowns sympathetically, catching the string of sneezes in Eddie’s bandana.
“Bless you,” he mumbles, shifting to relieve some pressure in his pants.
Eddie relaxes back into Steve, snuffling against his wrist and shutting his heavy eyes. The trailer fills with quiet congested breathing as Steve plays with the ill boy’s hair. They have a few minutes of peace before Eddie’s nose starts twitching again.
He sniffs harshly, not eager to sneeze again, “You’re shidding.. snf… me.”
Steve presses a sympathetic kiss to Eddie’s warm forehead, frowning at the heat. He lifts Eddie off of him and stands up, leaving his ill boyfriend on the couch temporarily. He wanders over to the kitchen and grabs some medicine, a thermometer, and a mug of tea.
"eh'KTSHUH!" Eddie sneezes wetly, resulting in a heavy sniffle. Steve blesses him and returns to the couch.
“Open up,” Steve prompts softly, positioning the thermometer under Eddie’s tongue.
“Well, areb’t you a handsombe nursde. Where’s your dress?”
Steve rolls his eyes and flicks Eddie’s shoulder, “In your dreams, Munson.”
Eddie mumbles a sarcastic comment, but stops when the thermometer nearly falls out of his mouth. The two boys sit in silence as they wait for a temperature reading.
Eddie scowls as a sudden prickling in the back of his nose grows. He brings his thumb and forefinger up to his nose, scrubbing the raw skin roughly.
"k'tshh ih'ntshoo hih'p'TSHH!"
Three sneezes tumble out of him, caught in his bare hand. The thermometer falls onto his lap.
“Shid,” Eddie fumbles for his bandana, cringing at the moisture on his palm.
Steve swallows dryly, his pants creating a tent and his stomach filling with heat.
“Holy shit,” Steve breaths quietly, completely smitten with the sneezy boy, “Bless you.”
Eddie looks up at Steve after giving his nose a soft, but productive, blow. He smirks, “Sorry I’m just so… snddff… sdeezy.”
Steve flushes red, “Shut up,” he quips embarrassedly. He places the thermometer back under Eddie’s tongue.
Luckily, Eddie’s nose decides to calm down for a while. He takes a few fever reducers and curls up on Steve’s lap again, falling into a feverish sleep after a few minutes.

Dean sits at a table, a large burger in front of him. Theo is sat next to him and hangs up a cell phone and looks at it speculatively.
"Thanks" Sam says to the barman. Sam walks over to the twins and sat down opposite them, setting the beers down. He looks to Dean "You do realize there's red meat within striking distance, right?" Dean shrugged.
"How many times I got to tell Richie, he's gonna get himself in trouble?" Theo says, setting her phone down on the table.
"Theo, you're assuming he's missing. I mean, maybe he just bailed"
"He's a moron" Dean says "I mean, he's a sweet moron, but he's not a coward. He wouldn't just bail"
"I got to go find him" Theo says.
"All right" Dean says. He nods and puts his cheeseburger down "I'm gonna go ask the bartender chick, Casey over there"
"Meanwhile I think I'm gonna trail this Trotter guy" Sam says.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah. I don't know. Something about the way he looked at me last night. Maybe there is something going on here"
==
Later Theo walks back in the bar while Dean walks off with Casey. She sits at the bar and lays her head on the bar only for a couple of minutes pass and she pulls her phone out, waiting for an answer before it does.
"Theo?" Sam says in a hushed voice.
"Sammy"
"Yeah. Hey. I can't talk right now"
"You, okay?" She asks.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just, uh...meet me at the bar in 20 minutes, okay?" Sam hangs up.
"Sam!" Theo signs and puts her phone in her pocket before resting her arms on the bar and rests her head on them. Someone clears their throat and she lifts her head up to see Corey, who smiles at her and hands her a beer.
"Here" He says "You look stressed"
"Thanks" Theo takes a sip of the beer "Perks of being an older sister looking after her little brother" Corey huffs.
"I get that" he says, opening a beer. He raised his towards Theo's and she does the same, and they clink them together.
"I thought bartenders weren't supposed to drink on the job" she says, taking another drink of the beer.
"Yeah...Good thing my shift ended 20 minutes ago" Theo smirks.
"And you waited to make a conversation with me?" He nods "I'm honoured"
"So, what do you say we get out of here and head back to my place" he says, winking at Theo. She smirks.
"Sure" Corey grabs his jacket and comes around the bar and the two walk out of the bar.
==
Later, Corey is leading Theo down into a basement.
"Looks like the maid's day off" She jokes, Corey seeming surprised at something. Theo approaches, continuing "Everything okay?" Corey kisses Theo.
"Make yourself comfortable" Theo strolls around casually.
"Oh, I forgot to mention. Richie was a friend of mine. When I realized I could track the GPS in his cell phone, I swung by earlier. Give him a proper burial. It's better than rotting in some demon tag-team's basement" Corey launches himself at Theo but is stopped by an invisible barrier.
"What the-"
"Oops" Theo kneels down, and peels back the corner of the rug, which is covering a devil's trap she had drawn "Tsk, tsk, tsk. Isn't that a buzz kill?"
"Not fully" Corey says "My 'tag-team partner'. My sister. She's with your brother" Theo shrugs.
"Okay. Dean knows she's a demon. Just like I knew you were" She says "I say she's rotting in the trunk of the Impala trapped by a Devil's trap just like this one if he didn't exorcise her yet. I guess you do know the feeling of older sibling stress" She stands up "Sorry, Corey. But you're going back to where you came from"
"I don't think so" Corey says, laughing. Theo takes out a book and begins to read in Latin.
"Spiritus immunde, undolara. Pasonitote ..." Corey closes his eyes as if meditating, and suddenly a breeze is blowing into Theo's face, and spinning the chandelier above Corey. Theo recollects herself, and begins reading again "Spiritus immunde, undo-" The pages from Theo's book are pulled off by the mystical breeze. As she looks down at the book all the pages fly off and the book as well. Corey opens his eyes and smiles. Underneath the book, now on the floor, a giant crack form. Suddenly the bricks around the door cave in. Theo looks shocked and turns to look at Corey, who looks pleased "What are you laughing at, Ass? You're still trapped"
"Hmm. I see you are to" Later, Theo lights candles and examines the rockfall. "Lose something?" She laughs.
"All you demons have such smart mouths"
"It's a gift"
"Yeah, well. Let's see if you're smiling when I send your ass back to Hell. Hey, you might see your sister again"
"Without your little exorcism book? Hey, go ahead"
"Spiritus immunde...un, guh..." Theo begins authoritatively.
"Having a little trouble there, toots" Theo clears throat and begins again.
"Spiritus immunde, undolare, Pasonitote" She takes a breath, tries and fails to remember the next phrase.
"Nice try, but I think ... you just ordered a pizza. Guess you should have paid more attention in Latin class" Corey says sarcastically smiling.
"Hey, I don't know what you're smiling about. You're not going anywhere"
"And, apparently, neither are you" Theo walks towards the window at the far side of the room.
"Yeah, but I got somebody coming for me and he exorcised your sister. He also has another spell book"
"Oh, right- Dean. Everyone says he's not the sharpest knife in the trio"
"Everyone?"
"Sure. You Winchesters are famous" Corey says "Not Lohan famous, but you know..."
"Well, that's...flattering. I'll be sure to let the boys know when they get here" Theo says as she turns back to the window.
"If they show up first" She turns to face him with a confused look "What, you thought it was just me and my sister? There's a third member. 3 against 3" Theo gives him a death glare "You shouldn't underestimate, Theo, it might be the death of you. You can give me hard eyes all you want, but the fact remains, we just have to wait and see who shows up first-" He pauses "The cavalry..." He smiles "Or the Indians"
==
Hour’s past and Theo moves a wine cask over to an opening, that daylight is apparently streaming in through. She holds out her cell phone to try to get a signal.
"Why don't you relax?" Corey says.
"Why don't you kiss my ass?"
"Why, Theo, you're a poet" He says "I had no idea" She groans as she couldn't get a signal and puts her phone back into her pocket "Look, we don't have any effect on the outcome of this. We might as well be civil"
"Civil, huh? Killing Richie- that was, that was civil? The guy was harmless"
"That knife he pulled on me and my sister? Didn't look so harmless" He says.
"Ah, a knife wouldn't hurt you"
"No, but it would damage this body. And Corey has such a fine body, I wouldn't want to see it ripped" Theo laughs.
"A demon with a heart. Wow" She says "Well, you know, there's a bunch of dead people in town that might disagree with you"
"Hey, I didn't pull any triggers"
"Yeah? You did something"
"You want to know what I did-what I really did?" He asks "I had lunch"
"Lunch?" Theo questions.
"Me and Trotter" He explains "We had cheeseburgers, and I just pointed out the money that could be made with a few businesses that cater to harmless vice. So, Trotter built it, and, man, did they come. Supposedly God-fearing folk, waist-deep in booze, sex, gambling. I barely lifted a finger"
"That's it?" Theo raises an eyebrow.
"You don't get it" He says teasingly "All you got to do is nudge humans in the right direction. Some whiskey here, a hooker there, and they'll walk right into Hell with big, fat smiles on their faces. Your kind is corrupt, Theo. Weak. Our wills stronger. That's why we'll win"
"And that's how it ends?" Theo says.
"No" He disagrees "That's how it begins" Theo sits down next to the Devil's Trap and leans her back against the wall, Corey following.
"So, demons take over. I thought the meek shall inherit the earth"
"Oh, according to your Bible. It's only a book, toots" He says.
"Not everyone would agree"
"Why? Because it's God's book?" He pauses "Do you believe in God, Theodora? I'd be surprised if you did"
"I don't know. I'd like to"
"Well, I don't see how you and your God, have done such a bang-up job. War, genocide - it's only getting worse. I mean, this past century, you people racked up a body count that amazed even us" He says "It's our turn now, and we're gonna do it right this time" Theo hears a noise and looks up towards the grate "Don't be hopeful, Theo" She gets up and walks to look at the window "You're not delivered. It's only the wind" She sighs and starts to pace around the Devil's Trap.
"You know, you're piling it pretty high up there, dude" Theo says "I'm not sure I'm buying"
"Why would I lie?"
"Demons lie"
"Some do. Some are true believers"
"Believers in what?"
"What, you think humans have an exclusive on higher power?" Theo looks surprised before chuckling.
"You’re kidding, right? You have a god?"
"Sure. His name's Lucifer" Corey says.
"You mean the Devil?"
"Your word, not outs. Lucifer actually means 'light bringer.' Look it up" Corey starts to explain "Once he was the most beautiful of all God's angels, But God demanded that he bow down before Man, and when he refused, God banished him. Tell me, Theo. How do you like bowing before lesser creatures?"
"Lucifer's really real? I mean, you’re not pulling my leg, are you?"
"Well, no one's actually seen him, but they say that he made us into what we are, and they say that he'll return"
"Oh, yea? And, uh, you believe that?"
"I've got faith"
"Mmm"
"So, you, see? Is my kind really all that different than yours?"
"Well, except that, uh, demons are evil"
"...and humans are such a lovable bunch" Corey pauses "Dick Cheney"
"He one of yours?" She asks.
"Not yet, Let's just say he's got a parking spot reserved for him downstairs" Theo laughs.
"Hey, speaking of downstairs...what's it like down there?"
"What, Hell?" Corey asks.
"Yeah"
"That's right. You booked a one-way ticket with that deal" Theo laughs "You're not gonna like it, Theodora. And, um, judging from the trouble you've caused, I don't think you'll be getting the presidential suite. No, it's a pit of despair. Why do you think we want to come here?" Theo looks sombre. She then sat back down on the floor, leaning back against the wall. Corey then laughs a little.
"Kind of funny, don't you think?" Theo gives Corey a confused look "You and me sitting here like a couple of regular folks"
"Yeah, it's hilarious, you know, in that...apocalyptic sort of way"
"You're all right, Theo" She scoffs "The others don't describe you that way. But, you know, you're - you're likable"
"A demon likes me" Theo laughs "Sorry, I don't know how to respond to that"
"You could say thanks" Corey pauses "That deal you made to save Sam - a lot of others would mock you for it, think it was weak or stupid. I don't"
"It's been kind of liberating, actually. Y'know, what's the point in worrying about a future, when you don't have one?"
"Still, a year left. You're not scared?" Theo leans her head against the wall.
"Nah"
"Not even a little?"
"Of course, not" Theo says with the briefest of hesitations. She then stretches languorously on the floor, Corey sighing.
"Why, Theo, if I didn't know better, I'd say you're trying to gain a reaction from me" He says "Well, it would be one way to spend the time...but I don't think you'd respect me in the morning" She props her head on her hand and turns to face him.
"That's okay. I mean, hey, I barely respect you now" She says "Hey, can I ask you a question?"
"I'm an open book"
"So, the gate opened. The demon army was let out. What now, huh? I'm not seeing a big, honking plan here"
"Honestly, there was a plan. Azazel was a tyrant, but...he held us all together"
"Azazel?"
"What, you think his friends just called him 'Yellow eye'? He had a name. After you did him in, it all fell apart" Theo smiles.
"Sorry about that" She says "So, what? No chain of command?"
"There was" He pauses "It was Sam. Sam was supposed to be the grand pooh-bah and lead the big army, but ... he hasn't exactly stepped up to the plate, has he?"
"Thank God for that"
"Again with God" He says "You think this is a good thing? Now you've got chaos, a war without a front, hundreds of demons all jockeying for power, all fighting for the crown. Most of them gunning for your brother. For a record, I was ready to follow Sam. Me and my sister and the third guy"
"Theo?!" Said woman looks up hearing her brothers.
"Looks like you win" Pounding on the door it heard and Theo stands up.
"Theodora!" Dean shouts, pounding on the door.
"Check that way" Sam says to Father Gil. The brothers walk off in the other direction around the house.
"Sam! Dean!"
"Theo?" Sam questions.
"Sammy, Dean, down here! The basement caved in!" Dean leans over a grate.
"Theo. Hey, hold on, okay? The three of us are coming"
"Who's three"
"We're here with the father" Theo glances back to Corey, who is smirking. Theo is quick to turn back to her brothers.
"Guys, be careful!” Sam and Dean turns to see Father Gil, going black-eyed.
A shot is fired just past Father Gil's head, destroying a small statute. He whips around to see Bobby, and then uses his powers to fling him aside, followed by him then throwing Sam into the windscreen of the Impala and Dean onto the ground besides the Impala. Father Gil leaves, and blows off the door of Corey's house, entering it. Sam, groaning, rolls off the hood of the car and looks to Dean, who stands up slowly. Before rushing to where Bobby lies on the ground.
"Bobby, you alright?" Sam asks. Bobby nods.
"Yeah"
"How did you know where we-" Bobby hands Sam the rebuilt Colt.
"Go!" Ruby suddenly appears.
"You heard the man. Go"
==
Loud forceful bangs shove the stones aside, Theo looking nervously towards Corey. Father Gil smashes in through the cave-in and Theo rushes him only for him to point a finger at her and she goes flying backwards. Father Gil then looks to Corey.
"Where's my wife?" He questions.
"Last time I saw her she walked out of the bar with Dean" Gil walks closer only to be stopped by Corey.
"Stop!" Gil looks down on the floor to see the Devil's Trap before keeling on the floor and punching the concrete, breaking the devil trap. Corey steps out of the Trap and Gil puts his hand on Corey's shoulder.
"You alright, I can't have your sister biting my head off for letting her brother get hurt"
"Yeah" Theo stands up and Gil turns to face her.
"Where's Casey?" He demanded.
"Well, my brother sent her ass back to hell. Where she belongs" Gil stepped towards her angrily and Corey grabs his shoulder.
"Leave her be, she just has a sharp tongue" Gil ignores him and grabs her throat, lifting her off the floor.
"A tongue I'll have great satisfaction cutting out"
"Don't kill her. Let's just go" Corey says "Gil, please" Sam appears and shoots Father Gil with the Colt, causing him to drop Theo. Lightning emits from the wound and circles Father Gill, who twitches and dies. The gun is then pointed at Corey.
"Dean, wait!" But Sam shoots him, and the bodies of Corey and Father Gil, no longer possessed, lie dead on the devil's trap. Dean rushes in as Theo stands up slowly and stares at her younger brother as he slowly lowers the Colt, and the bodies bleed out.

Bobby and Theo are walking outside on a busy sidewalk, not much haven changed since the demons were killed.
"Well, what do you think, Bobby?" She asks "About what we did here, you think it made a difference?"
"Three less demons to worry about. That's not nothing" He says.
"Yeah, but Trotter's still alive"
"Humans aint out job, sweetheart" Bobby wraps an arm around her shoulder.
"Yeah, but you think anything's really gonna change" They walk across the street "I mean maybe these people do just want to really destroy themselves. Maybe it is a... a losing battle"
"Is that you or the demon boy talking?"
"Ohhh, it's me. Demon is dead, and so is that hot stud it was possessing" Bobby sighs.
"Well, had to be done. Sam was saving your life"
"Yeah, but you didn't see it, Bobby. It was cold" Theo says before she stops and turns to face him, making him stop "Bobby"
"Yeah?" He asks.
"Back in Wyoming, uh, there was this moment. Yellow Eyes said something to be"
"What'd he say?"
"That maybe when...Sam came back from" Theo shrugs "well wherever, ... that maybe he came back different"
"Different how?"
"I don't know. Whatever it was, it didn't sound good. You think...think something's wrong with my brother?" Bobby pauses briefly.
"No. Demons lie. I'm sure Sam's okay"
"Yeah. Yeah, me too" She says "Can- can I ask you something else" Bobby nods.
"Go ahead"
"When, um, when I'm dragged to Hell - can you make sure my brothers don't do anything stupid"
"Theo, you’re going to Hell. I don't think they'll be fine after losing you, you’re the only mother Sam has had in his life and the only person Dean can talk to you" Theo looks down "And you’re like a daughter to me"
"I need you three to stay together" She takes a deep breath "Promise me that when I'm gone, you'll stay with them" He shakes his head.
"Theo..." He trails off, his eyes glass over.
"Please, Bobby" She says "I don't want them being alone. Not in a fucked-up world like this. They'll need you. Even when they say they don't. They'll always need you" Bobby hesitates before nodding.
"Okay" The two embrace.
"Thank you"
