Good evening vex community, I have something for you. I'm thinking about convex au to the song "is it cold out?". Both Scar and Cub lost one of their eyes to make a deal with the Vex, but they have a third eye. But because Scar has played so much with the power of the Vex now, Vexes have started to take something else away from him, because now even the souls of the hermits he kills don't feed Vexes so well. (Yes, when Scar killed someone with a bow, he ate some part of this Hermit so the Vex powers are maintain) Scar uses powers more and more, exceeds the limit, which damages his body. That's why Vexes took something away. Cub will be the first to learn about it.

/I made a little description of this moment, maybe then I’ll turn it into a real fanfic/

Cub flies to Scar as soon as he feels the pain and dizziness in his head. He feels cold from all of Scarland. The harsh frost and blue light shine more and more from their pair of earrings. Cub's is looking for Scar, calling him again and again and yet he’s partner is silent until Scar heard Cub land behind him.

“Scar, are you okay? You didn't answer me when I called,” Cub walks closer, and Scar adjusts his dark glasses, despite the fact that it's already late evening and the stars are up in the sky. His face burns from the cold, from being afraid to touch it.

"Yes, of course I'm fine! I was just lost in my thoughts,” Scar's legs glow with a blue haze as he uses magic to stand. Cub hasn't seen his wheelchair in a very long time, goosebumps run up his spine, because he knows better than anyone that it’s forbidden to use this magic all the time.

"Scar, I feel something has changed in you, you know you can tell me everything, my friend"

"Yeah, Cub, thank you for that," Scar clenches his fists, and breathes through all of his chest, but the air just sizzles with its coldness and the bitterness of magic in lungs. "Then can I ask you something?"

"Sure, anything," Cub smiled a little as he tries to warm himself up and hopes that this smile will warm Scar too.

Scar reached for the black glasses with a trembling hand. Cub takes a step back and feels a pain in my back, as if needles are sewing patterns right on the vertebra. The white eyes "look" and do not see, and the second scar on the face burns blue.

"Cub, don’t you feel cold?"

Hermitcraft - Basic History of Teams!

Alright. Buckle in.

Only a few days from now, and Hermitcraft 10 will begin! If you're new, I hope this helps!

Hermitcraft has existed for over ELEVEN YEARS now! While very few have been here for every single season, with the exception of our lovely Tumblr Resident, and official Tumblr Sexy Man Joe Hills, and our derp Xisumavoid.

You are under NO obligation to watch every season. There are probably few, if any, active users in this community who have. It's just not possible to watch it all. You don't need to watch the previous seasons to enjoy our community space! While there are a lot of back-references, for MOST people, it doesn't extend to lore and actions any older than season 6.

Most of the Hermits are associated with specific other members, despite ALL OF THEM taking turns collaborating, interacting, and sometimes building whole new dynamics and factions in the process. Some of the team-ups that you'll see referred to in fandom-spaces and the occasional one-off mention from our creators, include:

(Season 5) NHO, New Hermit Order - Docm77, Ethoslab, Bdoubleo100, and VintageBeef. Living in a jungle while having "fights" with others. Attempts to tax those who enter their jungle, had traps around it, and criticized the then-popular AFK Fishing Farms. Bdoubleo100, or Bdubs, especially enjoyed stealing from these. (Season 5-6) Convex, or ConCorp - GoodTimesWithScar and Cubfan135. One group I am the least familiar with unfortunately. They built a brand around the Vexes, with their business having pretty extreme low-morals that includes pollution and war profiteering.

(Season 6) ArciTects - Very close to be naming "BuildStone", it was proposed by and founded by Grian to Mumbo, later giving an invite to Iskall85. The purpose of this alliance was for builders to help redstoners, and redstoner to help builders. It accumulated in the ATTEMPT of founding the "greatest shop in the history of Hermitcraft", Sahara. It was, hilariously, a very large failure. Grian miraculously managed to entirely ruin the system with a single baked potato. No, I don't know how.

(Season 6) G-Team & Team STAR (Superior Tactical Alliance for Retaliation) - The Hermitcraft Civil War, consisted of a long list of minor conflicts in which various members of Hermitcraft blamed other people for pranks they committed, eventually spiraling into the confusion that was The Civil War! G-Team: Grian, TangoTek, Iskall85, Joe Hills, ZombieCleo, StressMonster101, and iJevin. Team STAR: Docm77, WelsKnight, FalseSymmetry, ImpulseSV Xisuma, RenDog

Mumbo Jumbo acted as a mole in Team Star, for the G-Team. He created this commercial for Team STAR. Team STAR made a very iconic diss track, which was soon remixed. It is a...Very iconic piece of Hermitcraft fandom. The result was Joe Hill's Response, in his short video also remixed by the same creator. Albeit missing the additions of the totally real voices of the other G-Team members

(Season 6) Area 77 & The Hippies - (I didn't finish Hippies POV and i didn't watch anything of Doc or Scar's POV of this unfortunately) Area 77 was founded by (unsurprisingly) Docm77, and GoodTimesWithScar, where they were doing experiments and studying abonomalies. SOmehow, this lead into Grian, once again, turning against them and forming The Hippies with the help of Ren, with Impulse soon joining. The conflict primarily consisted of them griefing Area 77 with flowers.

(Season 7) Boomers Demolition - Early game business formed by TangoTek, Bdoubleo100, and ImpulseSV which consistedo f almost exclusively non-duped TnT demolition, and was very fun!!

(Season 7) The Mycellium Resistance/HEP (Hermitcraft Environmental Protection) Hermicraft 7 saw Grian introduce the Hermitcraft Mayoral Election, created with the idea of putting Mumbo in as a puppet-government. If I had a nickel for every time Grian tried to start a puppet government (at this point) I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird it happened twice. Grian and Mumbo lost. In it's place was GoodTimesWIthScar. As Mayor, they had further control over the shopping district. Scar's promise was to replace the shopping district's Mycellium with grass. Despite very happily admitting that grass looked better, Grian, in a moment of nostalgia, decided to replace some Mycellium. Scar proceeded by putting caution tape around the area. This spiraled into The Turf War

Mycellium Resistance: Grian (Mother Spore), ImpulseSV, RenDog, XBCrafted, iJevin, Ethoslab, StressMonster101, Docm77, and Mumbo Jumbo HEP/Mayor Scar: Scar, Bdoubleo100, Keralis, Xisumavoid, TangoTek, Cubfan135, FalseSymmetry, Mumbo Jumbo, who joined due to them having the better vault. Etho had intended on being a double-agent, selling information to Scar. His information, however, was useless on purpose and decided to pledge full loyalty to The Resistance.

(Season 8) Boatem Hole - Grian, Mumbo Jumbo, GoodTimesWithScar, ImpulseSV and PearlescentMoon more or less stumbled and tripped into forming a group after innocently stacking boats and crafting tables and crystals on a pole, dubbed Boatem Poll. They then proceeded to create a hole down to bedrock, and eventually into the void, called the Boatem Hole. It was a large plains biome which was turned into varying mountain terraforming and the like from all of them and was connected in some small ways.

(Season 8) The Big Eyed Crew - Bdoubleo100, Keralis, and TangoTek. Tango did not, in fact, have big eyes and instead wore sunglasses to compensate. They had a town and shopping area and was occasionally dragged into pranks by the Boatem Crew.

(Season 8) Octogon/Goatem - Docm77 and RenDog! Main rivals with Boatem (thus the Goatem - pole of goats) had a mega business, game-breaking creations, and jaw-dropping spidery teal-and-deepslate creations. Weird Science!

(Season 9) Soup Crew - ImpulseSV, PearlescentMoon, GeminiTay. Made the CRAZIEST combo-base where all their different themes blended into a cohesive build

(Season 9) Buttercups - Grian, MumboJumbo, and GoodTimesWithScar. What's up, Buttercup? They formed after an incient where Scar and Grian blew up a massive, complex tunnel bomber in Doc's base. They could not understand how to repair it, and left a few diamond blocks before conflict started. They dragged Mumbo in, and had a robot fight with...

(Season 9) The Perimeter - Docm77 and RenDog. Doc's base, known as The Perimeter, teamed with Ren to attack the Buttercups using walking redstone creations to do a robot fight. Due to an issue with one of the server's plugins, they all re-logged, breaking one of the bots and ending with Buttercup's bot to do more harm to itself than the Perimeter's, but ultimately the destruction did prevent Doc and Ren from getting any further. Ren and Doc then launched flying TnT dupers, which looked like butterflies, towards all of the Buttercups' bases and camp. They stopped them both, with one butterfly destroying The Perimeter's own bot even further.

I am so sure that I'm missing some, but I am losing my mind with all this trying to remember them all!! I hope this could give people an idea of who they might enjoy watching!

Where did the Vex cub + scar headcanons come from? I love them I just don’t know if they’re referencing something in particular or if it was just kind of a collective “yeah I like that”

It's because of convex.

I have seen only s6 (grians pov) and then forwards but in seasons 5 and 6 (and im not sure about s4) scar and cub had convex/concorp and did pranks with vex masks on.

I'm not the best person to ask as I do not know much about convex as I haven't seen those seasons from their POV

I mean... yes and no. They are both whores for it but for different reasons. They get different things out of it. Yes, because possession is the vehicle by which they become full Vexes and access their powers. Scar wouldn't be so possessive of his Vex head if he wasn't into it. But there's more to it than that.

To me, what makes me say Cub has a possession kink is that for him, it's all about the lack of power, the giving up of control to a higher being or authority. It's about willingly giving your body to Something Else to use as It sees fit. (Or unwillingly, as was the case with the skulk.) It's like being in a 24/7 total power exchange/TPE relationship, to borrow some BDSM language. Cub's not in charge, because he doesn't want to be; he just does what he's told, and he's fine with that.

And ofc Scar does have that to a certain extent, because he does place the Vex as a higher authority. He still has his Vex head that he's so possessive about, he has the giant Vex head in Scarland, the Evoker in Main Street, he won't kill Vexes beause he's Not Allowed To, it's there. He's willing to serve and embrace the Vex and give them a presence in Scarland.

But to me, this isn't about Scar giving himself over to the Vex in the way Cub does. To me, this is a show of power. It's signposting what he is, what power he has access to, who he is. Scar is a Vex, and you can't go to Scarland without being able to see that. It's a threat, and a reminder, that the ConVex never went away. ConCorp didn't die at the end of s6 with Scar on his diamond throne. That lore never ended. It wasn't like wizard Scar or tycoon Scar or Elf Scar or any of the other various characters Scar has played over the years. They come and go, but Vex Scar is forever.

Contrast that with how Cub leans into it, but he isn't building Vex shrines in his base, he's not having Evokers everywhere, it's not something he shows off, because that's not who Cub is. With Cub, you don't know what's hit you until it's too late. You never see it coming. Things seem normal... until they really aren't, and you can't remember how we got here, but that's what's happened.

Like, when the crossover happened, Cub hid one (1) skulk catalyst under the sheep/cow/animal farm at the Hermit base on the first day for shits and giggles, and that seemed fine. Talked about building a cake empire. Sure, why not? Built a house out of blocks from every empire, which was a nice touch. Becomes a monster slayer bc why not and also cool giant battle axe. And then all of a sudden, ya boi decides to go into a swamp and get his ass possessed, and starts pranking hard for a couple of weeks before finally getting cured and escaping back through the rift. Like. LIKE. IT WAS LIKE FIVE WEEKS. ALL OF THAT HAPPENED IN LIKE FIVE WEEKS. There's no way we could have predicted ANY OF THAT given where we started. Especially given it was his idea. Just go to another server and get posssessed for Lore Reasons nbd. Lore that Shubble also took on as well later on in her series when she got skulk possessed while Supreme was around. Lore that Cub still leans into even now, which makes me see him as serving both the Vex and skulk, since he hasn't just left the skulk lore behind either. It's left residue that he isn't interested in dropping.

(as an aside, I find it SO INTERESTING that of all the character lore Cub has, there's nothing for the old man -> young Cub transition. He just entirely changed his default skin bc he wanted to at the start of s8 and left it at that. Which is fine! You do you, Cub. But you better believe I'm gonna fill that lore gap if he won't. XD)

Meanwhile, Scar was hanging out at Tumble Town, and having a lovely time of it which included building trains and Western-style buildings and ponderosa pine trees and not getting possessed by swamp skulk. SEE. IT'S NOT HARD CUB I PROMISE.

So yes, Scar has a possession kink, but it's nothing like Cub's. For Cub, he serves the Vex (and the skulk); for Scar, the Vex serve him.

Concorp

(I did not check for mistakes or I did I kind of forgot) 

Concorp is the main company and is fueled by its casinos, Aqua Town. Aqua Town is where they get most of their workers due to most people getting cheated out of their money and then getting landed into debt.

Then Concorp comes in and promises them a better way of paying off their debt if they work for them. Concorp has them work for a certain amount of time to pay off their debt. But most workers never leave the company after paying off their debt. No one knows why.

Concorp takes over the bigger aspects, It takes over companies and has conned many politicians. They play a big part in politics and make sure Aqua Town isn’t found out. They have shops that are known to have expensive pricing, but you can never leave their stores without buying at least one item. There was even a rumor Where Concorp was pulling the strings behind the mayor election.

Concorp was founded 2 years after Aqua Town. Aqua Town was Young Scar and Cub's base plan before they put Concorp into motion. They need money first.

Convex is what you call the top leaders, or the CEO’s. Scar, Cub, and False. They are the top Vex. Scar has control over Aqua Town, Cub has control over Concorp and False has control over their money(finances) and is sort of an assistant to Cub. She is basically the COO but plays a big part in Concorp. She makes sure the workers are doing their job.

Scar and Cub meet at a party(age: 16-17), it was a celebration of a new alliance. This alliance was Scar and Cub's parent’s own company connecting. They grew up in rich families but weren’t given much as kids. Soon they found themself hanging out with each other more after meeting each other.

They grew close and soon became lovers, married at the age of 24-25, (after graduating college), and founded Aqua Town at the age of 26-27. Concorp was made two years after the founding of Aqua town, it had always existed just never had a proper estate. They are now in their early 30s and are the top company in the city.

Together they would take over the world, a Romance to die for. (Yet again just a gist)

“And that’s game.” Cub threw down an Ace of hearts and an Ace of clubs, he had called in his cards. Scar gawked at his cards, “God, I hate how much you can bluff.” Scar threw down his own cards with a huff. He crossed his arms and puffed out his cheeks like a child.

“It's all in the name of the game love,” Cub spoke his face even and calm, but his voice full of victory and taunt. Scar sighed his face full of defeat and got up. Scar's shirt was unbuttoned to his naval, his pants loosely undone as he walked over to Cub. He pulled his hair out of its bun and let it fall to his shoulders and behind his back. He shook his head, undoing some of the tension in his hair.

Scar made his way to Cubs chair, he put a hand on Cub's armchair, his other hand rubbing his thigh. He placed his knee in between Cub’s thighs, softly placing a light amount of pressure on his crotch. Scar muttered something under his breath before pushing back the chair. Cub watched as Scar straddled his lap, “Is that so my dear?” Scar's voice full of mischief, he tipped Cub's face upwards.

Scars thumb and index finger softly pinched at Cub's chin. His hair fell over his shoulders, shining in the dim lighting. “I think you might have to show me a thing or two.” Scar whispered his thumb rubbing Cub's bottom lip. Cub's hands slid to Scar's waist and he slowly rubbed at the exposed skin, Scar radiated heat.

“I wouldn’t mind showing you a thing or two for a price.” Cub pulled at Scar’s pants hoops, pulling him down until their noses were touching. His voice was smooth and full of desire. Scar chuckled against Cub's lips, his hand now cupping his cheek. “What kind of price?” Scar asks innocently, his other hand unbuttoning his shirt.

Cub's hands slipped through the opening of his shirt, his hands roaming the rough and warm skin. “I think you know what kind of price I mean.” He pulled Scar down for a kiss, his hand gripping Scar’s waist tightly. Dry and bitten-up lips meet soft and thin lips. Light brown hair fell over Scar's shoulders and covered their faces.

Scar moaned into the kiss and pulled at the collar of Cub's shirt. Deepening the kiss, causing Cub to let out a groan. “God, I love you so much Dear.” Scar whispered on to his lips.

“I know, My love.”

Extra:

Scar got Grian to work at Concorp as an assistant for about a year. He would be Scars and Cub’s Main assistant for building. Grian was too cute not to make him an assistant. Scar already knew he was cheating, but wanted to see how it would play out so he didn’t say a thing. (he also had a really cute poker face.)

about scar not realizing he’s an allay; what if cub and scar were both together in an illager base for a time, a vex and an allay, neither realizing scar was an allay at the time. they later go on to form convex and everything, their abilities differ slightly (like scar being good at finding things) but since there’s only two of them they just assume all vex hybrids’ magic can differ like that. they use their different skills to their advantage when running concorp.

then allays pop up one day and everyone has that realization of ‘oh! scar is an allay’ and everyone realizing But scar, cub tries to explain it to him but scar is just kind of like “…nah thats crazy im a vex like you lol” not sure if he’s just in denial or he genuinely doesn’t put the pieces together? maybe he feels silly for not realizing it sooner?

"HEYYY Y/N~!" Scar sings as he flutters in the room. I look up from my paper about some feedback about Scarland people sent. "Hi Scar! What's up mate?" I respond with a giggle at the end from him trying to flut his wings back in a comfy placement.

"Y/N Y/N Y/N!!" Cub zooms in. "Will you come have dinner with us? It's your favorite~!" Scar and Cub singy-song together. "I can't guys. I have so much to read and pin up." I sigh from my old, uncomfy office chair. "But save me some? please please??" "But it's date night! we can neVER skip date night!" Scar begs, trying very hard to sound sweet. "Pretty please!" Cub adds to the end.

"Oh. Oh no." I tear up a little from my mistake. 'Date night was tonight! I thought it was tomorrow!' I think to myself with guilt almost crying from my thoughts being so cruel to me. "Hey hey, Lovely one! No need to cry! you just forgot about it. We still love you." Cub says as Scar picks me up -like the strong man he is- and hugs me as my thin rat-like tail twists around his hips. Cub skrichs my ears softly. Scar and Cub softly try calm me down (it doesn't work very well [ ..]) as they walk me to Scar's elven tree house.

Scar sets me down on a couch and Cub let me cling to him in overwhelming shame. "I'm s-so s-so s-orr-y! I hiccup from crying kinda hard. "It's okay! Sh sh sh." Cub comforts as he rubs my sore back. Scar comes back with sweaters for eveyone. A green cat themed sweater on himself, a cyan science themed sweater for Cub, and a F/C F/T/P for me. after Cub put on his sweater and wraps me up in mine, Scar comes in with F/F and some grape soda. "So. How are you doing?" Scar asks nervously "Okay." I deadpan. I'm tired from crying and the hoards of work I was doing. "Wanna watch Wall-e?" Cub asks. Scar turns on the television but waits for your reply. "Can we watch F/DP/M?" "Sure! Sorry for making you cry Cookie." Scar softly says while cuddling up to me, carefully moving my tail as to not squish it. "It's not anyone's fault. Don't worry." I say while getting comfy inbetween the 2 vexes

"Then why did you cry?" Cub asks genuinely "Did we do something? Did something happen? DID SOMEONE HURT YOU OR YOUR FEELINGS?!" Cub kinda panics when he got to the last 2 bits. Scar also makes it clear he worrys the same. "No. I over thought. It's nothing that can be/could've been stopped." I says as the 2 calm down a bit.

Scar grabs me to his (bangin' scitties! ٩(๑òωó๑)۶ wait. I mean... [꒪ω꒪υ]) chest and Cub snorts in annoyance (at Scar) and scoots over to hug my hips/thighs. 'Oh, how my boys make me feel better.' I think to myself.
