TW: Death, Heart Attack
Thought I’d share this old art here. Since I made my version of the Ghost Trio, I decided to bring this girl here. Yes I repurposed her into a Hazbin Hotel OC but her true origins are she’s actually a Casper OC.
You know Kibosh is always going “we must scare fleshies in order to protect ourselves”! Even though fundamentally that logic is flawed? Well, I thought of it and what if scaring actually DID have consequences? Hence Megumi.
Now Megumi started off as a young woman named Emiko Yoshimura (Yoshimura Emiko for more Japanese accuracy). She was a bright university student who suffered from a bad heart. Despite her condition, she always had that spark of hope and determination to keep going, even dabbling into art and music. That is until Halloween night where her friends abandoned her in a manor where they thought it would be funny to give her a good scare…and they knew her heart transplant was the day afterwards. So long story short, Emiko was literally scared to death. The monsters who did this tried to desperately bring her back via a ritual, but it didn’t work the way they hoped. Now Emiko is Megumi Kyoufu, the Void Witch. Who uses the powers of fear and the void to scare monsters into submission. While to Casper, she’s the aunt he never had and she always sided with him when everyone else failed him, his uncles probably know who she really is…

marble nymphs and medieval ladies with their gallant knights and Boticelli’s virgin staring at you gentle and half-moon eyed and Goja’s Maja with her rosy cheeks and Liberty guiding the people, hope and anger and action all in one symbol, and women of each of Renoir’s impressionist paintings playful and alive, and Suzanne and Judith and Esther and Bathsheba and all of the women of artemisia gentileschi. imagine having all those pieces of art depicting your face. The plumpness of the cheek painted with such painstakingly precision that now your face represents history. imagine carrying centuries of art in the roundness of the face and just decide to throw it all away just because the last fad says every single piece of softness has to be obliterated. fuck buccal fat removal.
