here my rendition of a indian Rapunzel as the rapunzal story i was told before disney
here rapunzal was a daughter to two stupid peasants who thought stealing and eating magical fruits from their neighbors garden wont have any negative consequences
their neighbor ended up being a witch who asked baby rapuzal as payment for her stuff
yada yada tower yada yada prince happy ever after

peoble are upset w the rumors of avantika playing Rapunzel in a live action tangled and guys....
I hate to break it to you but she is perfect for the role- expect a long winded explanation post soon my friends we have much to discuss
coming from a non biased source of course like there's literally no reason I would want my favourite Disney princess to represent my culture like nooo course not!!!

I literally could not give less of a fuck that rapunzel is a blonde white german girl. the most important part of her character is the LENGTH of her hair. that's what makes her rapunzel. the colour of her skin or the colour of her hair does NOT matter at all. if they cast a white actress to play her, you do realise she's still gonna have to wear a wig bc oh you know, no one has hair that long?
"oh but rapunzel is german-" okay! since you care so much about her german ethnicity, why do you keep casting white people that are NOT german? you lot really are showing your true colours with this whole avantika rapunzel FAN-cast.
yup, the worst part is this so-called live action movie doesn't even exist. it's BARELY in development. some rando on the internet decided to fancast avantika as rapunzel, it became viral and now bitches are cramming in avantika's instagram comment section even though- let me repeat it again- THIS LIVE ACTION MOVIE DOES NOT EXIST.

the new easiest way to find racist millennials is cast any poc in a disney live action where the original animated character was white

Me: posts about antisemitism
Person: "why didn't you mention this specific Middle Eastern actress who is facing racism and antisemitism"
Me: "me mentioning one issue does not erase all other issues. And also I looked it up and that actress is Indian and not Jewish so I don't know why I would talk about her being racially targeted when I'm talking about antisemitism"

My Fancasting for Live action Rapunzel I know it’s gonna be confusing as question if you want
if you don’t know already the Indian actress Id star for my fan cast Rapunzel live action would be the princess herself Sai Pallavi.
No this isn’t for the Disney casting I have different opinions in Disney’s castings but what I’m talking about if there was an Indian Remake in the one of the languages itself I’d like Sai pallavi to play Rapunzel because I feel like her Acting nature is perfect for the role.
And no it’s not because she’s light skinned
I’ll explain if I get more interest or I get bored

actually kind of crazy how much racist abuse i've seen hurled at avantika vandanapu for being cast as rapunzel in tangled because like yeah obviously don't be fucking racist but also avantika vandanapu was literally not cast as rapunzel in tangled in the first place

Ignoring the pathetic racists, an Indian rendition of Rapunzel would literally be the most gorgeous thing ever. Like y'all never seen a Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie? Pushpa? Countless others, which showcase how visually stunning the culture is?
In my opinion, The Little Mermaid (2023) being set in the Caribbean was such an upgrade from the original - I much preferred the scenes on land rather than underwater BECAUSE it have us something other than generic European village #4. People are so damn afraid of the idea that fairytales can exist outside their snowy-white bubble, and I think they should be publicly shamed.
