How to Manifest Money in 7 Minutes: The Rapid Abundance Challenge (Backed by Success Stories)
Tumblr media
Discover how to attract money in just 7 minutes using science-backed affirmations, actionable steps, and real success stories. Transform your financial energy today!
The Power of a 7-Minute Money Miracle
When I first shared my 7-Day Money Manifestation Challenge, it went viral—125,000+ views and thousands of success stories flooded in. But what if you could unlock similar results in just 7 minutes? This condensed, high-impact version of the challenge combines neuroscience, mindset shifts, and rapid action to help you attract cash flow fast. No fluff—just actionable steps to manifest money now.
Why 7 Minutes? The Science of Speed and Intention
Research from Carnegie Mellon University reveals that brief, focused affirmations rewire the brain’s neural pathways, boosting confidence and decision-making. Similarly, a 2020 study in Frontiers in Psychology found that 7 minutes of daily visualization significantly increased participants’ motivation and goal achievement.
Translation: Your brain doesn’t need days to shift—it needs clarity and intensity.
Success Stories: Proof That Speed Works
Sarah, 34: “After doing the 7-minute ritual, I landed a surprise freelance gig paying $500. It took literal minutes to manifest!”
James, 28: “I found $100 in an old coat pocket 10 minutes after reciting the affirmations. The universe works FAST.”
Lena, 41: “Used the challenge during my coffee break. By lunch, a client prepaid for 3 months of services. Mind-blowing!”
These stories aren’t magic—they’re mindset meets momentum.
The 7-Minute Money Manifestation Routine
Step 1: Affirmations (2 Minutes) Speak these aloud with conviction (science shows verbalizing amplifies impact):
“I am a prosperity magnet—money flows effortlessly to me.”
“Today, I act on inspired ideas that generate wealth.”
“Abundance surrounds me—I see opportunities everywhere.”
Step 2: Visualize Cash In Hand (2 Minutes) Close your eyes. Imagine holding physical money or seeing your bank balance rise. Engage all senses—feel the texture, hear the notification cha-ching, smile at the security.
Step 3: Take Micro-Action (2 Minutes) Send a pitch, list an item for sale, or text a client. Motion fuels manifestation.
Step 4: Gratitude Lock-In (1 Minute) Say: “Thank you for the money I’ve received and the abundance on its way.” Gratitude signals the universe you’re ready for more.
Tips for Amplifying Results
Repeat Daily: Consistency turns sparks into wildfires. Bookmark this page or watch the free video here [video] for quick access.
Engage Publicly: Comment below with your wins (e.g., “Manifested $50 in 7 minutes!”). Social accountability triples success rates (Forbes, 2022).
Pair with Audio: Watch the [original video] while following these steps—87% of users report stronger focus with guided audio.
Your 7-Minute Countdown to Abundance Starts NOW
Money manifestation isn’t about waiting—it’s about activating. In the time it takes to brew coffee, you can reset your financial energy, spot opportunities, and take inspired action.
Ready? Set your timer. Speak your truth. Watch abundance rush in.
P.S. Drop a comment within the next 7 minutes—your story could inspire someone’s breakthrough!

★ financial guide for the rising signs [2nd, 6th, 10th] ★
Tumblr media
★ aries rising ★
your financial success is built on consistency and long-term stability, not quick wins. with taurus ruling your 2nd house, money grows when you treat wealth like a garden, planting seeds that will pay off over time. you thrive financially when you own assets, build slow but steady income streams, and develop financial patience. stop chasing instant gratification—your wealth is strongest when it’s rooted in something tangible. luxury and financial comfort are meant for you, but you have to build them brick by brick.
your 6th house in virgo makes you a high-efficiency worker, someone who functions best when there’s structure, organization, and refinement. you make money by perfecting a craft, streamlining processes, and offering exceptional value. your best financial move is to create a system that allows you to scale your work efficiently. you’re at your worst when you’re working aimlessly without a clear financial plan.
your 10th house in capricorn means you were born to lead, build, and accumulate wealth over time. you’re meant for legacy careers, business ownership, and high-status roles. people respect you when you take charge, so stop underpricing yourself or playing small.
how to make money effectively:
develop long-term wealth strategies—real estate, investments, high-end services
charge premium rates for expertise and reputation
create a financial structure that supports stability
what to avoid:
chasing quick, unstable money
overworking without a strategy
switching careers before establishing mastery

your 6th house in libra means you work best in aesthetic, harmonious, and collaborative environments. you aren’t built for chaotic, high-stress jobs. you thrive in team settings, networking-based careers, and industries that blend beauty with logic. financial stability comes when you learn to balance your workload instead of overextending yourself.

°💸⋆.ೃ🍾࿔*:・Your 2H Sign = How To Make More $$$ 💳⋆.ೃ💰࿔*:・
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Your 2nd house is the part of your chart can show you the best side hustle ideas to increase your income. Look at the sign on your 2nd House cusp, its ruling planet, and any planets sitting there. They symbolize out how you monetize.
The 2nd House is the House of Possessions: movable assets, cash flow, food, tools, anything you can trade. The sign on the cusp sets up your style of 'acquisition' (Taurus = slow‑build goods, Scorpio = high‑risk high‑reward holdings), while the ruler’s dignity and aspects describe reliability, or lack thereof, of income.
Planets inside the 2nd act like tenants shaping the property: Jupiter here inflates resources, Saturn conserves but can pinch, Mars spends to make, Venus monetizes aesthetics.
Because the 2nd is in aversion to the Ascendant (no Ptolemaic aspect), you often have to develop its promises actively: wealth isn’t “you,” it’s something you must manage. So, let's look at the kind of side hustles you can do to increase your revenue!
Tumblr media
♈︎ Aries 2H: Physical, Fast, ACTION-Driven
(Aries rules motion, competition, fire, physical activity, force)
Personal trainer or group fitness instructor.
Manual labor gigs like junk removal, or yard work (physical and gives instant results.)
Motorcycle/scooter delivery (Uber Eats, DoorDash): speed + autonomy? Very Aries.
Selling refurbished sports equipment.
Pressure washing services, which is oddly satisfying AND includes aggressive water blasting lol.
Fitness bootcamps in local parks (Mars rules the battlefield… or, in this case, bootcamps)
Pop-up self-defense workshops
Bike repair and resale (hands-on + quick turnaround)
Car detailing (mobile service). You vs. grime. Who wins? You.
Sell custom gym gear or accessories.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
♉︎ Taurus 2H: Sensory, Grounded, Product-Based
(Taurus rules the senses and the material world, it’s a sign connected to beauty and pleasure)
Bake-and-sell operation (bread, cookies) at markets. Taurus=YES to carbs and cozy smells.
Meal prep or personal chef (nourishing others = peak Taurus.)
Sell plants or houseplant propagation, you’re growing literal value.
Create and sell body care products: lotions, scrubs, soaps… (Venus-ruled.)
Furniture refinishing for resale.
Offer at-home spa services (facials, scrubs.)
Curate and sell gift boxes (Venus loves a well-wrapped present.)
Do minor home repair or furniture assembly.
Build and sell wooden plant stands or decor (wood + plants + aesthetic = Taurus.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
♊︎ Gemini 2H: Communicative, Clever, Multi-Tasking
(Gemini = ruled by Mercury = ideas, speech, tech, variety, teaching)
Freelance writing or blogging.
Transcription or captioning services.

⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆
On a random Friday night, after finishing your late night shift, you started drinking your sorrows away in front of a liquor shop. You weren’t dealt a lucky hand at life: you lived with a raging alcoholic mother and an extremely abusive father until you were 19. You couldn’t wait a day longer to move out. You moved in with some college kids in a slightly sketchy, but very cheap, neighbourhood and got yourself a job - it was barely enough to live off, but it was something at least.
You were desperate for a better job. If you wanted that, you needed a college degree. To have a college degree, you needed money. But to have money and savings for college, you needed a well paying job. But well paying jobs were, more likely than not, given to people with qualifications - such as a college degree. Your head was spinning as you realized life was such a Catch 22. You got very drunk and very sad rather quickly.
It was getting late and you were already buzzed enough on affordable soju. You decided to go back to your shared apartment. You didn’t even know the names of the people you lived with - or cared enough to get to know them.
Walking was the cheapest option, even if it took you nearly an hour.
You were crossing a Han River bridge and stopped when you were halfway across. You looked down at the fast flow below you and wondered: what would kill you? Would you die of a heart attack before impact? Or would the impact break your neck? You chuckled. Fuck me, what if I drown? That’s a horrible death.
It wasn’t your first time thinking about death and suicide but you’ve never been this close. The railing wasn’t too high, you could climb over it easily. You looked around. Noone would save you if you slipped in. Being this intoxicated would numb the pain of dying, too.
“Hey, sweetheart!” -a man grabbed your shoulder. You gasped and jumped back, eyes wide in fear. “You got a lighter?” -he coughed. You shook your head. “Any cash for a lighter?” -again, you shook your head and gulped, taking one more step back. He was kind of old and out of shape, you could outrun him. “Where are you rushing, sweetheart?” -he grabbed your wrist. Very tightly. You hissed at the pain.
“There you are!” -a deep, baritone voice spoke from behind you. You whipped back your head, but you couldn’t register who it was, as he immediately hugged you. His soft fleece hoodie smelled great. “Me and your mom were worried sick about you, honey!” -he spoke softly to you, then his tone quickly changed. “Let her go!” -your wrist got lighter in an instant. “Play along, kid.” -he whispered.
This is a rescue mission. He’s trying to save me!
“Dad!” -you played along and fake cried in his chest. “I’m so sorry! I will never ever run away!” -you waited a couple of seconds before you asked in a whisper. “Is he gone?”
“Yeah, you’re good.” -he said in a normal tone now and let you go.
You got a chance to look at him in the streetlights.
Your breath got caught in your throat as you looked at him. He was tall and handsome - his voice totally suited him. Messy, dark hair. Deep eyes. Thick, strong brows. High cheekbones and the most perfect jawline you’ve ever seen.
“No need to drool!” -he nudged your arm with a smirk, as he started walking away.
You ran your fingers through your hair, giving it a bit more volume. You licked your lips to make them look more shiny and desirable. You wore a black top with a zipper in the front. You lowered the zip, hoping to catch his eyes with your assets. You hurried your steps and walked next to him.
“Thank you!” -you said.
“No problem. Zip that up!” -he pointed at your cleavage, without looking.
“Ok… Prude!” -you rolled your eyes but zipped up anyway. He chuckled at your comment and added.
“Have some self respect, kid! I’m twice your age.”
You frowned. The way he put emphasis on the word ‘kid’ did not sit well with you.
“No way! How old do you think I am?”
“19.” -he said.
“Okay, that’s scary. I am 19!”
“No way!” -he feigned surprise that made you giggle a little too loud in your drunken stupor. He wasn’t making a wild guess. “You dropped this earlier.” -he got out a small, slightly dirtied and worn Hello Kitty purse from his back pocket. Your purse!
“What the…?” -you gently took it and put it in your shoulder bag. “Thank you so much!” -you bowed.
“I would have given it back earlier, but you kinda ran away.”
“Oh…” -you did remember someone calling after you when you left the liquor store but, instead of stopping, you kept walking and hurried your steps in the hopes of getting rid of whoever was calling you ‘miss’. It was this handsome stranger trying to return your purse.
“I checked your…” -he started, trying to explain himself, but you cut him off.
“How old are you, oppa?” -you asked, trying to hook your arm under his, but he pulled away.
“Nearly 38.”
“Woah, you’re ancient! You could be my dad!” -you blurted in utter shock.
“Exactly. No funny business.”
“But you look like you're in your 20's.”
“I’m flattered, but you must be hammered to think that way.” -he chuckled softly. It was so soothing and calming.
You smiled.
“Thanks again.”
“Don’t mention it, kid.”
“You wanna get some ramyeon? My treat!” -you winked.
“I’m good. Take care now, ok?” -he was ready to leave. And so were you.
To another world - far away, without any more pain and suffering. You made your peace and came to terms with what you were about to do before you got distracted. You were tired of your life - you felt like you had nothing to live for and no one would miss you. Your plan to kill yourself didn’t waver - it just got slightly delayed.
You nodded at him with a tired smile. He reciprocated and slowly started to walk away.
But something felt off.
He was only a few steps from you, when he heard the quiet thud of your bag on the asphalt. He turned back and he saw you - on the other side of the railing, ready to jump. To die. His blood ran cold in his veins. He had to act quickly.
“What the fuck are you doing?!” -he ran up to you and grabbed you from behind before you could fall to your death.
“Let me go!” -you screamed. You were fighting teeth and nails, squirming and screaming, but he was stronger. He scooped under your leg with one hand, while the other one held your torso firmly. “Let go!”
He managed to lift you over the railing, back on the safe side of the bridge. He lost his balance and fell back, with you on top of him.
“Shit…” -he cursed under his breath. You scrambled yourself, ready to jump again. But he grabbed you in time. You were kicking and screaming - tears desperately falling from your eyes. You were both sitting on the ground; his legs secured over yours, his arms wrapped around you - one across your midriff, the other holding you back by your upper sternum.
You tried to peel him off of you, but you couldn’t. You continued to cry, not listening to whatever he was saying. You didn’t care - you wanted to jump. You had to! You bit his arm, your nails dug into the back of his hand so deep, you tore his skin and drew blood. Instead of letting you go, he was holding onto you even tighter.
“That’s enough!” -he ordered. His strong, deep voice boomed loudly next to your ear. You stopped your struggle. You stopped crying. However, you were still shaking like a leaf. “I’m gonna let go now and you are not jumping off this bridge!” -you nodded, your chest still heaving from the fight. But so was his. His entire being was trembling. He was terrified that he was just a couple of steps away - literally and figuratively - to witness a young girl’s suicide. It hit close to home. Too close. You reminded him of himself years ago, when he tried to take his own life. “Got it?!” -he asked sternly.
“Yeah…” -you muttered.
“Louder!”
“Yes, I got it!”
He untangled his legs first. Then let go of your body.
He stood up, cursing under his breath and he picked up your bag. You, however, sat still on the ground, staring at the railing. Your head was still hazy from what just happened. You were scared - and after the adrenaline rush, you felt slightly more sobered up. What was I thinking?
“Let’s go, kid.” -he reached out a hand to help you on your feet. You looked at him with teary eyes.
“Where?” -you sniffed in a shaky tone.
“Let’s get that ramyeon and talk.”
You found a hidden corner shop open and sat at the weathered wooden table.
“Shoes.” -he said.
“Huh?”
“Give me your shoes.”
“The fuck? Why?”
“I’m not taking my chances of you running away. Shoes. Now. Come on!” -he even did a hand gesture, hurrying you.
With a big - and loud - eyeroll, you took off your pair of bordeaux coloured Converse and handed them to him. He tied the shoelaces together and tossed it over his neck, like a loose hanging scarf.
Even though you offered to pay for food, he treated you. Your stomach growled pleasantly at the warm and filling grub. You didn't notice how hungry you were - at this stage, hunger was part of your everyday life.
“When do I get my shoes back?” -you asked after you finished your meal.
The chopsticks stilled in his hand - the hand that you scratched not so long ago, tainted with dried blood - mouth open for the next bite as he looked at you.
“After we talked.” -he replied. “Why?” -he asked, referring to your attempt.
“I’m tired of it. Of living.” -you dropped your eyes. “It’s too hard.”
“Don’t I know…” -he let out a big sigh.
“Have you…?” -you asked gently, not trying to pry into his personal life and troubles. He didn’t respond. You understood but you wanted to know. “How?”
“I’m not giving you tips, kid!” -he suddenly smacked you on the nose with his chopsticks.
“Ow!” -you pouted, leaning back, even though it didn’t hurt one bit. “Okay, fine. How did you keep going then? Give me tips on living!”
“Music.”
You frowned.
“Music. Like how? Did you just listen to it or…?”
“I produced music.”
“Ah.” -you nodded. “So you’re a musician of some sort?”
He let out a heartfelt laughter - rich, deep and honest. It was refreshing for him to meet someone who had no idea who he was. Of course you didn’t, you were younger than his band's first album - and you didn’t seem to be into the genre he was known for.
“Yeah, a musician of some sort.” -he chuckled and finished his ramyeon. He got the cardboard meal boxes and threw them in the bin nearby. “Don’t you have a passion to live for?” -you shook your head. “Family?”
“You mean my alcoholic mother or my abusive father?” -you let out a bitter scoff. “I don’t think so.”
“Kid, listen to me!”
“Stop calling me that!”
“Nope.” -he sat next to you. You folded your arms in front of your chest. “I recently got a second chance. Your chance is just around the corner.”
“You really think so?” -you looked at him.
“I know so. How does the saying go? The darkest hour is just before dawn, right?”
You let out a soft chuckle. He was right - somehow his words struck a chord in you. Maybe it seems like not worth living right now, but perhaps tomorrow will be the best day of your life. You should never let yourself run out of tomorrows. Ever.
“Thanks.” -you leaned on his shoulder. He didn't pull away - he understood you needed it. “Now, can I have my shoes back?” -you reached for them but he grabbed your wrist.
“Under one condition.” -he caught your gaze. It wasn’t charged. It wasn’t romantic. But it was nonetheless caring. “You’re gonna keep living to the fucking max.”
“Okay.” -you nodded.
“You’re gonna get your ass in gear and you’re gonna keep going. Even if it’s tough.”
“Okay.”
“Louder!”
“Okay!”
“With passion!”
“OKAY!”
He gave you back your shoes. You put them on, fiddling with the laces, when it hit you.
“Wait, I don’t even know your name!”
But he was already gone. Your stranger left - just as unexpectedly as he appeared out of blue, he disappeared into the night.
⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆
8 weeks have passed.
Your little pep talk with that handsome stranger back in March still resonated in every fibre of your body. And you turned your life around. You realized there were a lot of communities for young adults like you. You started studying - not at a college level, but you did classes that would credit you towards a fancy degree.
You moved in with like minded people - people who came from broken families, some of them worse off than you. And they all kept going and kept you going.
“TUDUM Live is on in 5 minutes!” -one of the girls shouted as she turned on the TV in your shared dormitory.
“Can’t wait for T.O.P!” -another one giggled.
You sat on the sofa, popping a handful of popcorn in your mouth. You weren’t into the Netflix series so you were completely oblivious to what you were about to watch. But your first class didn’t start until 10.30am, so you thought you’d watch the first half an hour at least.
You enjoyed the pink overall dancers - or as you learned, The Pink Guards of Squid Game - their performance was absolutely fantastic.
Then two prominent actors came in - you’ve actually remembered seeing them in movies and series before - speaking in English to the crowd. They introduced three more actors from their recent hit, Squid Game; Park Sung-hoon, Kang Ae-Shim, and T.O.P.
“Oh, my God!” -you choked on the popcorn. You immediately recognized him. The guy who saved your life just 8 weeks ago. He was wearing a black suit with sparkles on the jacket - very fancy opposed to his dark hoodie on the night you’ve met - and sunglasses. He was dressed to the 10’s.
“Shhs!” -you were hushed.
You watched eagerly. He looked absolutely stunning. He spoke in English and Korean, his voice deep and booming - if only you could hear more of him; the crowd was so wild and loud it drowned out him almost completely.
After the countdown, the Squid Game Season 3 trailer began, and you left.
You grabbed your phone from your nightstand, typing at the speed of light, hoping you could find him online. You didn’t need to search for long - he was very famous.
You found his Instagram. He recently posted 4 sets of photos. He looked incredible. It was a long shot but you wanted to say thank you to him:
Dear TOP-ssi,
idk if u ever read this, oppa, but u saved my life. literally. maybe u don’t remember, but u pulled me back before i could jump, we had ramyeon and u gave me a pep talk. i turned my life around for the better since. i couldn't have done it without u. thank u, i’m 4ever grateful for u
You didn’t expect him to do anything with your message, but you wanted to let him know what he’s done for you. It was out there for him to know, if he ever wondered.
After that you got ready and went to your class. By the end of it, you had two notifications on your phone:
ttt liked your message
ttt replied to your message
Your heart was throbbing in your throat as you opened the app, your hands shaking so much you thought you'd drop your phone.
I knew you’d make it, kid ;) keep going!
That was all - nothing more, nothing less. No hidden agenda.
But it meant the world to you.

billy pulled the door closed behind himself ever so carefully, making sure not to alert anyone else who might still be awake in the boarding house.
he turned towards the room to look at you; waiting infront of him expectantly- yet still a bit nervous, akin to a tense game of cards. it was his move now.
you leaned into his touch as he brought a hand up to caress your cheek, stroking gently with his thumb. “my beautiful girl,” he spoke softly, quirking the corners of his lips up into a smile.
“are you sure you’re alright with this, darlin’? we don’t have to.”
but oh, how you so desperately wanted to. because it was him, because it was billy.
-
he had wandered into your life by chance; a raggedy stray appearing in a saloon on a friday night, just looking to make some cash off of a game of poker.
you were there, too, hidden behind a humble stage curtain. you dusted some lint off of your dress and cleared your throat before donning your guitar and revealing yourself to the bar patrons with a confident, nearly sanguine smile.
“why hello there, everyone! d’ya miss me?”
and you had the instant attention of the majority of the tired souls in the saloon, ears and eyes becoming alert. if there weren’t smiles, there were whistles, cheers, claps- and other things inbetween.
there was no argument amongst the patrons that you were special. you held a strong and awfully charismatic persona when you were up on that stage, performing each weekend. when you had first started singing publicly, give or take a year or so ago, it took time for the people there to pay mind to you- but there was only so much they could do before your cadence, your charm, drew them in. and now, the townsfolk always looked forward to your appearances.
“oh please, don’t flatter me! it’ll all go to my head. how’s ‘bout we get to some songs instead, boys?”
a bit of soft laughter could be heard, dispersed throughout the room, before some more scattered claps- and a low chatter returned within the building while you propped yourself onto the stool at the center of the platform.
“learned this one from my father- i hope y’all enjoy it, an’ feel free to sing along if ya’ know it too.”
you began to strum, and the noise in the room lowered at your command. if anyone wasn’t paying attention before, they were now.
“O bury me not,”
and the raggedy stray finally looked up from his hand of cards, sapphire blue eyes taking in your beauty for the first time.
“on the lone prarie.”
your voice was amber honey flowing over a silver spoon, it was devistatingly sweet on the tongue, and all the more addicting. even the most haughty cowboys couldn’t help but lend an ear to you.
“these words came low, and mournfully
from the pallid lips of the youth who lay
on his dying bed at the close of day.”
of course, it didn’t hurt the fact that you were pretty. anyone would agree. but the men there stopped bothering you with crude requests and comments a long time ago- you’d established that it wouldn’t be tolerated, that you weren’t some woman of the night who’d play into the egos of these dogs who assumed they were above everyone else. and what were they to do?
nevertheless, you were alluring. you had a voice that charmed snakes and tempted songbirds to whistle along. so, eventually, they left you be. and that was the way it was.
“he had wasted and pined ‘til o’er his brow,
death’s shades were slowly gathering now
he thought of home and loved ones nigh
as the cowboys gathered to see him die.”
some of the patrons softly sang along to that folk song, including the one that sat a bit further from the stage, who had laid his cards aside later than the others.
he wasn’t fully aware of the small smile etched across face, but he was aware of the way your dress draped gracefully over your legs, the way your hair flowed freely upon your head, the way your eyelashes batted against your skin each time you blinked, the way your hands held your guitar.
he was well aware that he had not seen a lady like you before.
and well after you finished your set, and you had taken time to sit down at the bar and thank the bartender for your drink, he found it in himself to approach you.
and if you were a bit apprehensive, he took mind of that, and kept a small distance whilst lowering his hat from his head.
“hello, ma’am, how are you doin’ tonight?”
you couldn’t help but soften your hardened expression just a bit at the sight of him; eyes that bore right into your heart and pleaded innocence, even though you had heard the chatter throughout the bar that night;
that he had accumulated bounties, that he was a force not to be reckoned with,
that he was ‘dangerous.’
“quite alright, thank ya’, can i help you, cowboy?”
you were curious, but you weren’t downright stupid. you’d certainly dealt with worse, and the demeanor of this man begged that he had no distasteful intentions, but there was further convincing to be done for your guard to come down.
“i just wanted to say- you’ve got a real beautiful voice. it was a nice treat after the day i’ve had, ma’am.”
his voice was soft, and he carried himself well, though you could hear notes of nervousness in the way his breath hitched slightly halfway through his speech. you tilted your head a bit, furrowing your brows.
“you’re william bonney, isn’t that right?”
he shifted his stance, breaking eye contact to look down towards the hat he held in his hands. he cleared his throat and looked back up at you with a coy smile.
“yes’m, so you’ve heard- i’ve heard em’ talkin’ about you too, albeit, for much nicer reasons, miss y/n y/l/n.”
and if the way your name rolled off of his tongue made your cheeks a couple of shades pinker than usual, that was your business and nobody else’s.
he was good looking, that couldn’t be denied. good looking in the kind of way that carried much more depth than anyone you’d seen before. good looking in the way of his strikingly blue eyes, his brown hair that curled up at the ends, the button up shirt and pants that complimented his figure perfectly, his strong, yet softened, demeanor.
“so, s’it true? what they say about you?”
“depends what they’re sayin’, ma’am. maybe, maybe not.”
“well, are you as dangerous as they say you are?”
“only when i need to be, ma’am.”
he was definitely a gentleman- that, or he was putting up a real good act. it wasn’t often that you were approached out of genuine, unsolicited interest. but william- who now insisted you instead call him billy, went silent each time you even looked like you wanted to say something.
and on the two of you went, having conversation through the rest of the night. he didn’t let on about a lot of things, he’d gotten used to being a man of few words. he wanted to know everything about you- as much as you were comfortable saying. and to his delight, you had lots to say.
the both of you were a few drinks in by the time you were sat side by side, filling the near empty saloon with laughter.
“and- and then what?” his smile was sickeningly wide.
“well, my mama always told me i should never let a man use me as a doormat, so i grabbed my saddlebag an’ swatted him right in the groin!”
billy chuckled lightly, imagining that scenario before taking another sip of his whiskey.
“serves ‘m right, the men here know less a’ how to treat women than they do knowin’ when’s appropriate to draw a gun.” he huffed out.
you set your elbow on the counter, resting your head on your hand. “i bet your mama’s real proud a’ you, billy. she raised you just as anyone should.”
he held his smile for just a second before moving to look down at his glass. he remained silent for a few moments, and you followed suit, understanding why.
“m’ sorry, i didn’t know-“
“no, it’s alright,” he looked up at you, offering a smile once again. “i hope that she is. i’m always just trying my best to do what’s right- what’s just. sometimes the law doesn’t wanna paint it that way, but i know what i’ve seen and done.”
and you trusted his word. you had let your guard down like this for the first time possibly ever with anyone who wasn’t family. you and this raggedy stray were both different birds, flying far from the flock. having his company was something new, something exciting. and you hungered to know more.

I never walk about after dark
It’s my point of view
Cause someone could break your neck
Coming up behind you
Always coming and you’d never have a clue
Moving out of my hometown wasn’t on my bingo cards for this year and moving out of my hometown for a research project was 1000 percent not on my bingo cards. Yet somehow I was packed up and on the road within three months of starting my project.
I’ve always had a weird niche for all things history, but especially history that just seems to vanish into thin air. I began to become extremely interested in towns that are no longer on the map due to poverty, weather change or even these people becoming hunters and gathers. Packing up and moving out in an instant. It all started in my senior year of college. I was studying geography at my local four year college in my hometown of Nevada.
Honestly I hated college all the long hours, all the homework and also having a full time job on top of that, but I had a full ride so I decided to suck it up. My very last year I had some space for a filler class that got me extra credits so I landed on the study of United States Lands focusing on increase and decrease of population throughout the recent centuries.
Personally I thought the class was going to suck, but to my surprise my professor was amazing. Towards the end of my final semester we began to learn about Pleasant Town Oklahoma. A once booming town immediately vanished off the face of the earth.
“Now class you may be asking yourself why was this town so rich? And I’m here to tell you it’s because the mayor at the time in the year 1915 had connections with our president. They hid money, fabrics, food and all types of expensive items within this small town” Mr Wayne stated
“I mean with hiding all this stuff how did they become so wealthy?” One guy had asked, my eyes darting to him
“They were being paid off for hiding these things, however the money was dirty money, so they created many businesses to get the cash flow moving. From one store to one man’s pocket to the next and then next thing you know that dirty money is in George's hand who lives in Virginia! It was all an amazing scheme, very smart. But as you can see it didn’t last long nor did it end well” He had stated as he clicked the laptop to show the next slide shown on the board
“Within three years of this operation this small town alone was bringing in about $100,000 a month which is over $2 million dollars in today's money. So then you ask yourself how does such a rich state with so much money just disappear? And all the money too?” He states scratching his chin
“So Professor Wayne….what exactly happened to them?” I asked after raising my hand
“No one really knows” he states uncrossing his arms and leaning off the desk
“I mean there has to be a reason right? That’s a lot of money to just disappear” I state as I jot down notes
“Well here’s the other thing, there are many rumors dating back to the creation of Oklahoma which was 1907. Sources have stated that Pleasant Town is evil and I’m talking demonic evil. People have said the reason the cash flow never stopped was because they were all a cult and seemingly used one another as sacrifice.” He stated clearing his throat
“Sacrifice?” I questioned raising my eyebrow
“Well yes! In many cultures it is stated if you do a blood sacrifice for the devil and/or sell your soul then your wishes shall come true. Their wishes were to stay wealthy. This came with problems however” he says as he sits down at his desk
The whole class was on the edge of their seats waiting for him to go on.
“Many of these men had short arms and deep pockets. Making it very easy for one man to kill the next out of greed” Wayne goes on
“And didn’t they get caught? I mean the president wouldn’t allow that” one classmate states
“Very true! The town was very small, only about 80 people now if 10 people suddenly die many eyebrows are raised. For a while they covered up the stories claiming a sickness like smallpox. The mayor decided to bring animals claiming this would make them richer since they produce meat, eggs and milk. Now he wasn’t wrong, but the animals were used in these blood sacrifices to hide their tracks” he says nodding his head
“God these people were ahead of their time” I blurt out and crossed my arms over their chest
“Oh they were, but that might’ve costed them their fortunes and their town” Professor Wayne states
“So that’s it? They just left? And what now?” I asked him
“It’s stated that they just separated, leaving most of the money to the whole state of Oklahoma. Afraid the president was after them or maybe they danced with the devil for too long and ended up paying the price” he states bluntly
“And the price is?” I asked him
“Death” he says frowning a bit which caused a chill to run up my spine
“But this is all speculation. About 30 years later Pleasant Town was rebuilt and supposedly none of that cult stuff was brought to that town. And till this day it’s still up and running. I believe the population is only about 200-250 people max?” He says rubbing his chin in thought
“I mean that’s just sad… we’ll never know the truth” I said to him shutting my notebook
“I mean you could always go and visit, spend the summer there. See what it’s like……anybody up for a challenge” he says laughing as the class shudders in fear and averts their eyes to the floor
I mean I was super interested in this lost town with such a dark history that suddenly reappeared 30 years after weird cult shit was happening. I could always take the summer off from work since I graduate in May….. take a road trip to Pleasant Town Oklahoma. Find the real history and report back to Professor Wayne.
My thoughts were interrupted when the bell rang and he bid his goodbyes to the class. Everyone was quick on their feet out of the door, but I stood back very interested in talking to him.
I trotted over to his desk as he shut his laptop, stuffing it into his book bag. His eyes darting up once he felt my presence
“Ahh Ms. Y/L/N…. You seemed very intrigued with today's lesson, planning a weekend getaway?” He asked me playfully
“Funny that you mention it because I was thinking more of a whole summer get away” I stated
“A whole summer?” He says brows lifting immediately
“I’m really interested in this town. I mean a mayor in on cult rituals to bring tons of cash in and the president not having a clue? And then they just vanished? This is like a movie sir” I state as I ramble on
“I mean it’s all just speculations Y/N” he says smiling at me
“I know sir, but is there any way I can get your research on this town so I can study it a bit more? I plan on building a whole case for this and figuring it out” I pleaded
“You’re really interested in this aren’t you?” He asks opening his bag up
“I really am Professor Wayne” I say back
“Here, but listen this is a tight knit community. Don’t go digging your nose where it doesn’t belong. Tread lightly this isn’t your turf, okay? In a town like that with such a small population and a dark history, you don’t want any enemies” he says handing me the folder titled “Pleasant Town”
“Yes, and thank you sir” I stated nodding my head
After that I finished my final semester two months later in May. Between work and classes I built up more of a file on this town jumping from a folder to two binders stacked with information.
Two days after my graduation I did some research on the town. This place had no hotels, no motels and for sure no air bnbs. That’s where I ran into my first problem, attempting to find a place to stay.
Searching on Zillow I had found a house for rent. In the middle of nowhere. One gravel road and corn fields. From the pictures it did seem there were few houses across and next to it, so I figured that was perfect. I'd make friends with neighbors.
I mean the house was decent for the area. Seemed to be a two bedroom two bathroom house. The bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom down stairs and one upstairs. Had a pretty average sized kitchen in the back of the house, a dining room to the right of the front door, a living room to the left of the front door, the stairs faced the front door, and then there were small hallways that lead to the kitchen. And there was a basement that seemed small, well kept and empty. It sucks to say I actually liked the place
My second problem began when I called the realtor a very old southern man by the name of Beaufort Smithson. I dialed him that morning and from the moment he heard my accent he seemed to turn a cold shoulder.
“Please sir” I pleaded with him
“Listen ma’am you sound young and not from these parts. What bring someone like you around this small town” he states deeply
“Well I’m from Nevada and it’s just so crazy here and I’ve been looking to stay somewhere a few states away that’s quiet and small” I state
“But you’re looking to rent from June 1st to August 31st…. We do 7 month rentals” he says bluntly
“Well I want to see it I like it first” I say lying through my teeth
“Can’t you see from the pictures if you like it or not” he says sucking on his tobacco tucked in his lip
“I can have the full rent for those three months ready for you in cash” I state desperately
“In cash you say” he says as I hear his chair squeak from underneath him
God these people really were money hungry till this day…
“Yes sir $800 a month for 3 months I can get you that $2,400 in cash June 1st” I state
“Well little lady you have yourself a deal. Now get yourself a pen and paper and jot this down. June 1st 12 in the afternoon we’re going to meet at the gas station in Pleasant Town” he states spitting his tobacco into a styrofoam cup
“Uhhh what gas station is that sir?” I ask as the pen dangled in my hand
“Sweetie we only got one gas station down yonder….you can’t miss it” he says chuckling
“Right…. Well thank you Mr. Smithson, my names Y/N Y/L/N, and I’ll be seeing you on June 1st” I state
“Well alright darling see you then” he says chuckling
“Oh by the way I look like-“ but I was cut off
“Oh trust me I’ll know what you look like…..safe travels” he whispers before hanging the phone up on me
That phone call made me slightly regret my choices of spending my summer with some shit kickers than on the Las Vegas strip…..
I spent the last two and a half weeks packing, purchasing what I know I won’t find in Oklahoma and doing more research.
I think I was on page 4,000 on google before I found a new article with information I hadn’t seen before. I placed my plate of pizza down as my eyes scanned the laptop screen quickly.
It was a newspaper clipping dating back to the year 1953. Only 70 years ago…. Interesting. The title stated “Farm owner questioned in the massive slaying of all his animals” my brows furrowed.
There’s no possible way that 70 years ago these cult killings continued? But my fingers scrolled down further as I began to whisper
“Confused and angry farm owner, Thomas Sturniolo was seen today yelling at cops as he was taken out of his small Pleasant Town home. After all his farm animals died and weird things happened around town he was suspected of killing his animals in a weird cult-like way. Demanding he be let loose, and that the town was crazy and out to get him because he is the wealthiest farmer. Insisting his competition killed his livestock and not him.”
My eyes couldn’t believe what I was reading…this was pretty recent honestly. This was happening around the time my grandparents were young children… I printed those news clippings out along with many other clippings of his arrest, his release and his disappearance…..
Adding them to my binder as I finished my pizza. This was so insane to me, and this would make a great conversation with professor Wayne after my studies.
I opened up my email and decided to email my professor.
Hello Professor Wayne! I hope your summer treats you well. In about three days I am off to study the lost town of Pleasant Town Oklahoma. That folder of information you gave me has grown into two large binders, and I found more information today. Down below you’ll find links to news articles dating back to the 50’s about weird cult animal killings! I think you’d find it fascinating! I’d like to update you here and there through my three month stay, and then maybe when I get back we can discuss all my findings over lunch! Thank you for your time! Hope to talk to you soon. -Sincerely, Y/N Y/L/N
Two days later I was all packed up into my car. About four large luggage and two duffel bags…. I was well prepared to say the least. Saying bye to my family and friends I began my venture to Pleasant Town.
My venture was a full day, and I made sure I counted for gas breaks, nap breaks and food breaks to make sure I got to Mr. Smithson at 12 on the dot.
June 1st 11:25 am- 35 min ETA Pleasant Town Gas Station
I was coming across the entrance to the town. I was jamming out to SZA, bobbing my head I looked over to my right smiling as I read the sign
“Welcome to Helltown….once you get in you’ll never get out!” It read
My smiled dropped, I snatched my sunglasses off my face and turned the radio down….. a cold sweat began to form on my back as I looked in the rear view mirror
What the fuck was that? I was becoming increasingly anxious and wondered if I just made the worst mistake of my life. I rubbed my lips together in anxiety as I gripped onto the steering wheel harder.
I chose to shake it off, there has to be a logical explanation for this I thought to myself. Putting my sunglasses back on, I turned my music up a little bit and continued down the silent road.
My map told me 1 minute, and slowly I pulled up to a very old and very dusty gas station. Coming to a stop as the gravel left a smoke trail ahead of my car.
I put the car in park and hopped out, stretching my back and cracking my neck. Suddenly an old man hopped out of his large red truck. Spitting tobacco on the ground as he waddled over
“You, young lady must be Y/N?” He asks as he sucks the tobacco
“Yes sir I am” I state as I smile and place my hand out to shake his
Looking down as he smacks his lips, he firmly shakes my hands.
“Good to met ya, welcome to Pleasant Town” he states coughing
“Thank you Mr. Smithson” I state smiling once again
“Well uhh” he states smiling at me
“Oh right” I say, eyes going wide as I walk over to the passenger side. Grabbing the envelope with all the money in it.
“Here you go, $2,400 cash” I state handing the envelope over to him
He grabs the envelope and takes the money out, beginning to count it
“300,400,500-“ he says flying through the money
“Uhh what’s with the welcome sign saying welcome to Helltown? Once you get in you’ll never get out?” I ask pointing over my shoulder
He immediately stops counting, sucks his teeth and looks up at me through his lashes
“Idiot teenagers who have nothing better to do than destroy property that isn’t theirs” he states as he goes back to counting
“Oh…” I state rocking back and forth on my heels
“Alright it’s all here! Thank you sweetheart. I’ll drive you to your house just follow behind me” he states stuffing the money back in the envelope
“Thank you sir” I state as he turns and walks back to his truck
I hop in mine and wait for him to go, following closely behind him I take in the surroundings. Trees, dirty roads, corn fields, farm houses, large stacks of hay and pretty decent sized homes. They were just super outdated.
It was only about a 15 minute drive, but man it felt like forever. I’d hate to get stuck with no gas on a road like this.
Pulling up to the house he pulls onto the gravel driveway as I do too. We both hop out and we walk towards the house. We walk up the steps and wait on the front porch as he digs around for the keys.
Looking around I take in the surroundings, there’s quite a bit of farms around here…. My thoughts are interrupted when he finds the keys and opens the door. Allowing me to walk in first
“I had my crew clean up the place for you” he states shutting the door
“Oh, do you own a cleaning company?” I ask looking at him
“No.. I get these young boys out here to do what needs to be done around these parts” he states bluntly
“Oh the young teenagers who mess around” I say laughing
“No, I send those boys to work the corn fields…. The older men do the hard work round here. The cleaning, the lifting, the shootin” he says sucking the tobacco
“Shooting?” I ask as I turn to face him
“Yup they shoot the ones for my man down under” he states looking me dead in my eyes
“What?” I ask as I began to get nervous
“Oh I’m sorry sweetheart I must be confusing you, you see my dad loved to hunt but he’s too old now and lives in my basement. He has me send out the young men to shoot for him and bring him back some animals” he states chuckling
“Ohhhh yeah” I say laughing awkwardly
“Well young lady this is your home now” he says handing me the keys.
“Thank you” I say meekly
“You got your dining room, living room, and kitchen all down here fully furnished as you can see. Bathroom down here one upstairs and both bedrooms upstairs. Oh uhh I’d suggest food shopping early in the day, you don’t want to be out late at night around here….that is due to the wild animals of course like bears and coyotes” he states looking at me
“Of course” I say nodding politely
“Make sure you lock your doors at night. Especially the back door….. animals in the kitchen are never a good thing” he says turning around to head to the front door
“Got it” I state
“And uhhh we’re a family here….youre house is my home….or whatever the saying is….my house is your house….ah you know what I mean” he says shaking his head
We bid our goodbye and I watched him drive off. My hairs on the back of my neck are standing up. This whole conversation was making me nervous and uneasy. One other thing I realized was I’d be having no WiFi here. However my phone had 5G and the service wasn’t awful here shockingly….. I immediately sent an email back to Professor Wayne
“Just got here! The house is actually super nice. It's very historical and artsy. The realtor is a total creep though. His name is Beaufort so that explains a lot! He said some weird things and made weird analogies. Making it seem like beyond the naked eye there’s more to this town…. I’ll keep you posted”
I hit send and slid my phone back into my pocket. I placed the keys in my front pocket and walked outside. The warm sun kissed my skin as I squinted. Walking over to my car I popped the trunk and began to take my luggage’s out.
Suddenly I felt like there were eyes on me. The way the area got super quiet. So quiet you could hear a pin drop. I looked over my shoulder in the least scared way possible. There was nobody there. I rubbed my forehead and let out a breath.
“Y/N relax” I whispered to myself as I took my last luggage out
However unbeknownst to Y/N, she was in fact being watched. A young man on the second floor of his parents house. He stood in his room peering at the young woman through his sheer curtains.
His gaze was dull as he stared out the window, sweat trickled down his forehead, his mouth hung open slightly and his breathing became deep. His fingers swirled and tugged at his red flannel.
She was like out of a movie. He had never seen a woman like that down here. Those are the ones his mom warned him about. The type who didn’t like boys like him, the type he should….hate. However when he looked at her he couldn’t hate her….she seemed precious….precious just like his horse Bertha.
“Young Man! What did I tell you about standing at that window” he heard from behind him, he jilted and turned around
“I’m sorry mama…I wasn’t doin nuffin” he states as he looks at her
“It is not polite to stare at people you aren’t a child anymore. You don’t do that” she says to him
“I wasn’t looking I swear” he says with pleading eyes
“Well you go on now. Your father and I are leaving for the afternoon” she says to the boy
After his mom leaves he pears out his window again. The young woman had stopped to talk on the phone. He was so fascinated by her he simply couldn’t look away.
I hung up the phone after saying bye to my mom and pulled out my second luggage. Rolling it into my house and coming back out to get my third luggage. I huffed out a breath of air and wiped the sweat off my forehead
I leaned over to get the third luggage but it was stuck on something. I sucked my teeth and began to tug on the handle harder.
“Need a hand ma’am?” I heard from behind me
“OH SHIT” I yelled turning around and grabbing my heart
“Oh im sorry darling I didn’t mean to scare you” the young man states backing up a bit
“No it’s okay, I’m new to town so I’m a bit jumpy” I state shaking my head
“My apologies for sneaking up behind you, may I help you?” He asks looking at my trunk
“Yeah please that would be great” I say smiling as I tried to control my breathing
The young man grabs both of my luggages for me and I grab my duffel bags. We walk to the house and he leads the way to my other two luggage’s.
“Thank you so much” I say placing my bags on the couch
“My pleasure sweetheart” he says nodding his head
“I’m Y/N” I say sticking my hand out
“I’m Matthew, but I go by Matt” he says wiping his forehead with the inside of his shirt. The shirt lifted just enough for me to get a perfect view of his lower stomach.
Damn…why were the shit kickers in a creepy town always so hot…. I guess the movies aren’t wrong..
“Well Matt thank you once again, can I offer you some water?” I ask him
“Water would be nice” he says smiling a bright smile
We walked to the kitchen and I found some old glasses left behind. I rinsed it with water and then gave him some water from the sink.
He drank the full cup, allowing the water to dribble down his chin and to his neck. My gaze ever so slightly following the head of water.
“So, what brings you to this part of town darling?” He asks, his accent so thick I couldn’t even focus
“I come from a busy town and I’ve always wanted to move to a small rural area. Pleasant Town seemed just right” I state licking my lips
“Once you see what this towns like you’ll go running for the hills” he says smirking darkly
“What do you mean by that?” I asked clearing my throat
“Well we hunt, we drink beer til we’re piss drunk and race in old cars for fun, we sneak into farms at night and tip over the sleeping cows…. Amongst many other things” he states handing the glass back over to me
“Oh that’s nothing compared to where I’m from” I say placing the glass in the sink
“And that is?” He asks crossing his legs as he leaned against the wall
“Las Vegas Nevada” I state nodding
“Never been” he states
“You should visit one day” I say
“If I ever leave this town” he states swallowing thickly
“If you ever leave?” I question once again
“Well you know this place is home I don’t know how I’d do in a big place like that” he says smiling at me
“I suppose you guys are pretty far behind on a lot” I say giggling
“Oh trust me aren’t we all” he says kicking himself off the wall
“Well uh thank you so much Matt I don’t mean to keep you” I say to him as I begin to walk out the kitchen
“Oh no worries darlin” he says as he follows behind me his thick cowboy boots hitting the wood in all the right places
He opened my front door and began to head out
“I’ll see you around neighbor” I state to him
“See you around, oh and if you ever feel like there’s eyes on you….that's because there is….you know small town haha we can’t escape each other” he says coldly before adding a laugh at the end
“Right…right” I state smiling at him and blinking quickly
I watch him walk across the street and head into the home. I lock my car doors and shut my front door. Locking the door before walking to the kitchen back door, locking that one as well.
I spent the rest of the day sweeping up, cleaning and setting up my room. I hadn’t realized how late it gotten or how hungry I was till my stomach growling woke me up from a small Power Nap.
I got up and realized it was 8pm, I wasn’t sure what food stores would be open, but it was worth the try. Ignoring the warning not to go out at night I grabbed my house keys and car keys.
Locking the front door, I got into my car. Turning it on I put it in reverse. I looked over my right shoulder and when I went to look over my left Matt was there and had banged on my window.
I jumped out of my skin and hit the breaks. Rolling my window down I was breathing heavy
“Sorry sweetie” he says as he looks down at me
“Is there something I can do for you?” I asked him genuinely curious
“Oh me? No no, but you, you shouldn’t be out at this hour” he states
“It’s 8pm though?” I say furrowing my brows
“Yeah well the bears and coyotes come out this time” he says tapping the hood of my car
“I’m just running to the local store” I say
“You shouldn’t be out at this hour” he says again a bit firmer
“Umm okay” I say to him, remember what Professor Wayne said “no enemies this isn’t my turf”
I placed the car back in park and got out. Shutting the door and locking it I looked at Matt, a shot gun in his right hand as my eyes darted up.
“Don’t worry darling this ain’t nothing special. I use this to hunt” he says to me as he moves the gun back a bit
“For uhh Mr. Smithson’s dad?” I ask as my eyes slowly track up to his
“Oh no I do a different type of hunting for him” he says clearing his throat
“Do you now” I say rocking on my heels
“I get the animals causing issues for us here, the ones eating up all our crops. We can’t have those round these parts” he states chuckling
“Yeah…yeah bad for business. I’m going to head in for the night then” I say pointing behind myself
“Well alright now! You have a great night” he says in a whisper while offering me a smile
I smile back before turning in my heels and heading back into the house. Locking the door immediately as I run up the stairs.
I decided to shower and eat some leftover snacks. By this point it was midnight and I decided to brush my teeth so I could lay down for the night.
Shutting the bathroom light off I walk into my dark room using the brightness of my screen to lead me to my bed. Shutting my bedroom door behind me I trot over to my bed. However something in my peripheral view catches my eye.
Through the little dent in the Venetian blinds I see a light on in the house across the street from me. Slowly walking over to the window I peak out the small dent and look across the street.
All I can see is the silhouette of a skinny man with a shotgun in hand standing at the window. Almost like he’s staring out the window….
Suddenly he slides out of view and the light goes out, but I stay looking and I get an uneasy feeling. It’s like he’s still by the window…hiding in the shadows…watching….waiting….
I scared myself by doing this, so I backed away from the window and decided to lay down. Listening to my heart thump in my ears as I focused on controlling my breathing. My mind was racing because I was so nervous about this town and whether or not I made the right decision…..
I attempted to clear my mind and doze off to sleep. I knew I had a full day of adventures the following day especially since I needed to find a supermarket of some sort here!
The End…. For now
Alright guys I know I’ve been GONE, but it feels good to be back! I hope you enjoyed this part. Can’t wait to start working on part 2 shortly 🤭🖤 we’re at 2,009 followers! I love yall soooo much 🥺

Yuletide stress relief.
Weasley's Wizard Wheezes was bursting with shoppers since the moment the doors had opened that morning, a sea of people already lined up right down the street stretching all the way down past Ollivanders. Since the moment the doors had opened, it had been non-stop work with customers who were packed in like sardines across all five floors of the shop, desperately searching for Christmas presents for their loved ones.
Although he was always thankful for the success of their business, Fred was completely exhausted and a little worn down by the relentlessness of the day.
He'd been up early, having to leave the two warm bodies in the comfy bed, and had dressed quickly, not even stopping to get a cup of tea or any breakfast and had gone straight to the office to sort out a cash discrepancy he'd noticed upon closing last night. After recounting all the gold from yesterday and revising all the paperwork, he had eventually found the accounting issue and then had to redo all the paperwork.
George turned up to help with opening the store and they'd quickly discovered that they were running low of the Peruvian instant darkness powder crystals which would be a devastating loss to their business this close to Christmas with it being one of their best sellers and the top money spinner.
Fred had once again climbed the multiple stairs to the office and had checked in the books, seeing that a shipment was actually due to arrive this week but when he looked at the number ordered, he realised the grave mistake he'd made. Instead of ordering it in individual batches like usual, he'd confused the numbers and had ordered 60 crates instead which would be a massive overbuy and therefore a massive overspend. It was imported from Peru and the cost of shipping was astronomical, so he had really made a grave mistake. Not only that but the darkness powder had a relatively short shelf life compared to some of their other products and so it could be a complete financial loss.
Running his hands over his face and through his hair, he made his way down the stairs to begrudgingly tell his twin of his error, only to realise that the store was already open and the shop was already packed with customers needing help left, right and center. He'd not taken a single break that day nor stopped for any lunch, working right through as the heavy flow of customers never dwindled. A kid had knocked over a display of wonderwitch products requiring a massive cleanup, even though the child's mother had cast a spell to prevent the rest from falling and it had fallen to Fred to clean up the mess, seeing that his twin was currently helping a large family, Verity was stuck with a line of customers at the till and their temporary Christmas staff were all dotted about busy with other tasks.
He'd thought multiple times during the day to send you an owl to ask you to help out, but he'd never actually got the chance to slip away for long enough. He knew you'd come if he asked but he also didn't want to bother you on your day off, knowing that you were spending it at the Burrow with his mum, busy making preparations for Christmas next week.
When the doors to the shop closed around 7pm and the last of the customers trailed out of the store around 10 minutes past, Fred let out a sigh of relief as he flicked his wand and cast the closing spells, locking the doors.
He couldn't even bring himself to make conversation with his twin, who in striking contact to himself was buzzing from the successful day. He trudged up the stairs, not trusting himself to apparate into the office in his exhaustion; the last thing he needed today was to get splinched because he wasn't paying enough attention.
He was nearly finished with the nightly paperwork when the door to the office creaked open and you walked through with a wide smile on your face, seeing him for the first time that day. Usually he loved to see your smile, even more so when he knew it was because of him, but after the day he'd had and the foul mood that had settled within him, the smile on your face only exasperated how he was feeling, resenting the fact that you'd had a much easier day than him.
"Hey Freddie," you said with a smile, walking over to him and hopping up on the desk. He looked dishevelled to say the least, his jacket thrown off, shirt sleeves rolled up his forearms and tie hanging loosely around his neck, clearly having been loosed hastily. He looked unbelievably hot, like his hand had been repeatedly running through his hair making that ultra sexy dishevelled look.
He hardly looked up, which you thought was strange, simply nodding his head as if to tell you that he'd heard you and acknowledging your presence.  Realising he was busy, you move to hop off the desk ready to walk away, immediately feeling like you were intruding and bothering him.
"Princess wait,” he says, stopping you from walking away, casting his arm out to grab at you. He pauses when he feels your bare skin under his hand, your dress having ridden up when you climbed onto the desk. For the first time, his eyes flick up to you, specifically your bare thigh that his hand is wrapped around.
The sudden change in atmosphere seems to affect you almost instantly. His eyes are piercing, dark as they look at your skin under his hand and you don’t need to be a skilled occlumens to know exactly what is going through his mind. When his hand squeezes down on your flesh, you know exactly what he’s thinking and you can’t help but feel a little flushed with the influx of arousal that spreads through your body.
For the first time, his gaze travels across your body and up towards your face until he’s looking in your eyes. It’s tense for a moment when nothing happens until he suddenly stands from the chair, right in front of you and nudging your legs apart until they’re pulled taught either side of his hips. His tongue pokes out and wets his lips as he gazes at you hungrily and you can almost see your chest rising and falling with the sudden need to take deep breaths to calm yourself.
“Wanna be my good girl?” He says, leaning down slightly, towering over you as his hands dance along the hemline of your dress, thumbs teasing the skin of your thighs as your legs part even wider automatically. He smirks to himself, not missing the way your body always submits to him so willingly as he takes a step back. You nod, staring up at him with wide, imploring eyes awaiting your instruction.
Your gaze follows his hands as they pull away from your thighs and go straight to his belt, unlooping it, opening up his belt buckle and pulling open the buttons until he can free himself. He reaches into his underwear and pulls out his hardening cock as you watch on desperately, mouth watering at the sight.
“Suck it baby,” he says with a slight coo, “want your beautiful lips around me.”
You do as your told almost immediately, maintaining eye contact with him as you slip down off the desk so that you’re eye level with his perfect clock. Ensuring that he’s watching your every move, you timidly stick out your tongue and lock all around the head of his cock, watching closely as his eyes close on their own accord, a heavy breath falling from his lips. You take his rapidly hardening cock into your mouth seconds later, as much as you can and give one long, drawn out suck that causes him to let out a low, breathy moan. You bob up and down on his cock, running your tongue against the prominent veins underneath and try to take more and more in your mouth just like you know he likes. His hand rests in your hair but he does it to feel, not to control as gorgeous intimate moans fall from his lips, his eyes flicking between watching you and closing in pleasure.
“Well this is a sight,” you hear from behind you, making you moan against Fred’s cock. You pull off Fred’s cock, a string of spit trailing between you and his swollen member as you turn your head towards George who looks at you with a lustful gaze. You’re buzzing with arousal, being caught with a mouth full of cock, feeling so dirty by the thought.
“Princess,” Fred says, pulling your attention back to him as you slowly lick all up the sensitive underside before taking him back into your mouth.
George appears by your side in moments and begins unbuckling his own suit trousers, freeing himself and reaching down for your hand as he moves to stand beside Fred. Your hand wraps around his length and you stroke it just how he likes, feeling him harden in your hand.
Both of them moan out at the same time when you switch sides, taking George in your mouth and wrapping your hand around Fred, feasting on them both. You alternate between the twins, your hands never leaving their cocks as you give them pleasure, enjoying the glorious sounds they are unashamedly making.
As soon as you take Fred into your mouth, George slips out of your grasp and reaches for your dress, tearing at it and pulling it open until your breasts spill out, having taken off your bra the moment you got in. You gasp, feeling your nipples harden under the cold air and the feeling of being exposed and it’s mere seconds before George’s hands greedily grab at them.
Fred pulls you off his cock, his hand gently cupping your jaw as he looks at you with lust blown eyes for a second before turning to his twin who seems to have the same idea.
In a manoeuvre so slick it surprised you, Fred picks you up and exits the office with a slight slam of the door, carrying you bridal style all the way through the apartment until he places you on the bed. You watch as George steps through the doors, looking at them both eyeing you hungrily with their cocks still out and you have to bite your lip, so overwhelmingly aroused and untouched that it’s near painful.
George steps forward first, crawling up your body on the bed until he leads you into a surprisingly passionate kiss. Whilst you’re kissing George, you feel Fred reach up your dress and pull down your underwear, the wet gusset feeling heavy, drenched in your arousal. Your hips flail trying to make contact as you spread your legs, hearing Fred curse at the sight in front of him.
George pulls away and gives you a little smirk before he begins to kiss down your body, stopping to feast on your heaving chest before he carries on further and further downwards until his lips ghost over your mound.
The second his tongue laps as your heated, wet flesh you cry out, back arching in pleasure. You look down and see his eyes watching you as he feasts on your cunt, lips and tongue already working you perfectly as he sucks and slurps at your clit.
Fred appears next to you and holds out his cock for you to take back into your mouth, the angle a little awkward but your make do. It’s so sinfully dirty having one twin feasting on your cunt whilst you suck off the other one and you can’t help but feel your climax building already, so worked up.
“I don’t think so Angel,” George says, pulling away from your weeping cunt, hips undulating desperately as your climax fades. “When you cum it’s going to be on our cocks.”
Both twins pull away from you as they quickly throw off the rest of their clothes and you sit up on the bed, tits exposed in your ripped dressed waiting for them.
George gets to you first, pulling you in for a scorching kiss as his hands wander, gathering the material of your dress in his fists. It’s quick and oh so arousing when he suddenly reaches out and manhandles you, flipping you over until you’re on your front, hips high in the air for him. He pushes up the material of your dress, completely exposing you to their gaze and you bite your lip once again when you hear their breathy moans, curses and playful banter, talking about your pretty little wet cunt.
George’s cock slips between your wet lips with ease, your gasps only fuelling his desire to get inside you. The second he slips inside you cry out in ecstasy, finally feeling full just like you needed. He’s rough and sets a brutal pace almost instantly, both of you keyed up enough to take it.
“You like that Angel? You like when I’m rough with you?” His deep voice says from behind you, making your clench around him. “Mmm yeah you do, dirty girl.”
Fred slips beside you on the bed and captures your lips into a blistering kiss, his big hands squeezing at your bouncing tits, thumbs stroking over your hard nipples. You cry out about into Fred’s mouth as George shifts and gets even deeper.
“Fuuuuck that’s it baby, use me just like that, fuck yourself on me,” he cries out when you begin to meet his hard thrusts, arching your back further.
It’s dirty and messy, the feel of their hands on you, Fred’s on your tits and George’s gripping your hips tight as he controls your movements. You can feel him start to lose his tempo, thrusts getting sloppy and harder until he’s fucking you with force, no doubt watching as your ass jiggles for him.
“Fuck gonna make me cum Angel, oh fuck!” He cries out as you clench him again, making your pussy even tighter around his sensitive cock.
You reach out for Fred’s spare hand as George starts to cum, hips slamming into yours as your moans mix with George’s and echo through the bedroom. You feel like you can feel every single shot of cum filling you as George roars, his load shooting deep inside you as he continues sloppily thrusting in and out of you.
Fred gives you almost no time to recover when George pulls away breathless. He pulls you up, pulls you into a dangerously arousing kiss as he peels the useless fabric away from your frame, leaving you completely nude for him. He turns you around and lays you on the bed before slipping inside your open legs, grabbing them and throwing them over his shoulders.
You’re already oversensitive pussy burns in the most delicious way as you feel the weight of his impossibly hard cock hitting your clit. You cry out, reaching for your breasts as he devilishly taps his cock on your clit, rubbing and giving you the most delicious friction just like you need. He slips his cock inside you and you scream out, feeling him deep inside you, deeper than George had been, your body so sensitive and needy for an orgasm. He leans forward and puts his hands either side of your head, contorting you exactly as he wants you, leans down to give you a single kiss and a smirk before he draws his hips back and slams back inside you. Your whole body rocks with the movement, his pace already fast and brutal as he fucks into you for all he’s worth. It’s nasty and dirty, the mix of his brutal thrusts and teasing smirk and you claw at his back as you cry out. He curses and groans with each thrust as your pussy grips him, climax building deep in your belly.
“Fred, fuck!” You cry out, his cock staying deep inside you as he gives you short, hard thrusts, your clit rubbing deliciously on his pubic bone.
“That’s it sweetheart, fuck you’re so tight, cum for me baby, cum on me.”
Your orgasm hits you out of nowhere, his voice so arousing, his words so demanding that your body submits to him instantly. You can’t stop moaning as he continues to fuck you through your orgasm, his own rapidly approaching. His arms bulge under his own weight, a delicious sight as you canter your hips to meet his thrusts, watching as his eyes close, his face scrunching up.
“Freddie cum for me, cum Freddie!”
It’s a shock when his blistering hot cum suddenly shoots out and hits your chest, your tits covered right across to your neck and your chin. He pants, slipping back into his knees as he looks at you, so perfectly defiled and covered in his cum.
“You’re bloody perfect,” he says breathlessly with a slight laugh, the sensations overwhelming him as he looks at you. When you take a single finger and trace it across your breast, scooping up a little bit of his cum before bringing it up to your lips to suck on he looks at you in amazement, mouth contorting into a little ‘o’ shape.
“Dirty girl,” George says, making you turn in his direction, so consumed by Fred that you’d not even considered where he’d gone. He runs a warm washcloth over you, cleaning up his and his twins mess as you smile at him tiredly. “You did so well for us.”
You laze in between completely naked and free between the two equally naked bodies for a little while, your legs feeling like jelly as George strokes your hair and Fred holds you tightly.
“So did you steal us any Christmas cookies?”
“On the counter,” you say tiredly with a knowing smile.
It takes less than three seconds before both twins race out of bed and run straight towards the kitchen as you laugh at them, their very naked arses jiggling in the gentle lamp light.

Grace & Yoongi - AU Headcanons, part two
Note: I hope this makes up for the delays!
Tumblr media
A special solo stage for Grace and Yoongi highlights their undeniable chemistry, showcasing how effortlessly they complement each other. Grace begins by singing one of her solo tracks, her voice rich with emotion as the stage lights dance around her. As the camera sweeps across the scene, it reveals Yoongi—back in full blonde mode, reminiscent of Agust D’s first explosive appearance. The crowd erupts as he steps forward, clad in all black, hood up, exuding an aura of raw intensity.
As the beat drops, Yoongi launches into his first-ever solo, Agust D, his flow sharp and commanding. Backed by dancers in black hoodies, the energy crackles through the arena. Grace hypes him up, effortlessly rapping along to the chorus, her presence just as electrifying. At the peak of the performance, she makes a signature move—forming a ‘D’ with her fingers and hovering it over her eye.
The small gesture ignites a cultural wave. Within hours, fans flood TikTok with challenges, mimicking the move. Soon, it becomes an inside joke among BTS and their fans—whenever Yoongi or the group says ‘D,’ they instinctively mirror Grace’s gesture, turning it into a phenomenon. Even during performances of Dionysus, she subtly references it, sending the fandom into a frenzy.
Tumblr media
As their power as a duo grows, so does the attention from luxury brands. Valentino, Tiffany & Co., Vera Wang—every designer and high-end company wants to cash in on the couple that effortlessly blends elegance with rebellion. When Grace and Yoongi finally agree to a Valentino campaign, it becomes an instant sensation. Social media crashes under the weight of their presence, stock prices skyrocket, and the world can’t get enough of them.
The campaign itself is cinematic—moody lighting, stolen glances, the slightest brush of hands. They wear complementary outfits, tailored to perfection, exuding power and intimacy. In the background, You Right by Doja Cat plays, setting the tone for something both unattainable and magnetic.
Yet, within BTS’s world, they remain professionals. Their romance is never explicitly referenced in interviews, and their public appearances are carefully composed. To an outsider, they are nothing more than close colleagues, an artistic force that moves in sync. But those who have been watching—truly watching—know the truth. It lingers in the way Yoongi’s gaze softens when she speaks, in the way Grace instinctively adjusts his mic before a performance, in the fleeting but unmistakable moments that slip through the cracks.
The Valentino campaign cements them as the couple of the moment, but it’s only the beginning. Offers keep rolling in—Gucci wants them for a sleek, monochrome concept, Cartier envisions them in a timeless black-and-white romance, and even Vogue Korea is pushing for an exclusive couple’s cover. Yet, Grace and Yoongi remain selective, choosing projects that align with their artistic vision rather than just chasing trends.
Tumblr media
While the world fixates on their fashion influence, the music industry watches with equal fascination. Their chemistry extends beyond the stage and into the studio, where they collaborate effortlessly. When Yoongi is working on a track late at night, it’s Grace who leans over his shoulder, humming a melody that sparks something in him. A few months later, that same melody becomes the haunting hook of a song they release together—a stripped-down, intimate track that showcases their intertwined artistry.
The song drops without warning. No teasers, no promotion—just a midnight upload with nothing but their initials as the title. Fans go wild. The lyrics, raw and unfiltered, speak of two people caught between passion and restraint, of stolen moments in the chaos of their world. Every line is dissected, every whisper analysed. Did Yoongi write that verse about her? Did Grace’s harmony in the chorus mean something more? The speculation fuels the fire, but neither of them addresses it.
Tumblr media
During a BTS world tour stop in Paris, the energy shifts again. A single moment, caught on camera, spreads like wildfire. The group is performing Black Swan, a song that thrives on emotion, on the vulnerability of an artist’s soul. Midway through the performance, Grace and Yoongi cross paths in the choreography—just for a second, their hands brush. It’s barely noticeable, but the way Yoongi’s fingers linger before he lets go doesn’t go unnoticed.
Twitter explodes.
“That wasn’t in the choreo, right? Right??”“They’re literally in a Jane Austen novel at this point. The longing. The restraint. The HANDS.”
After months of speculation, Grace and Yoongi finally agree to one joint interview and photoshoot—Vogue Korea.
The cover? Iconic.
Draped in sleek, minimalistic black-and-white outfits, they stand back-to-back, exuding effortless cool. The accompanying spread features artistic, moody shots—one where Yoongi leans against a piano while Grace sits on top of it, another where they’re both drenched in rain, staring at each other with unreadable expressions.
The interview, however, is what truly fuels the fire.
When asked about their undeniable chemistry, Grace simply smiles. "We just understand each other."
When Yoongi is asked if he and Grace ever fight, he smirks. "No. She wins before I can argue."
And when the interviewer jokingly asks if fans should expect a wedding before another mixtape, Yoongi laughs—but Grace? She just hums thoughtfully and says, "Music first."
Twitter implodes.
Tumblr media
During a chaotic Run BTS episode, the group is split into teams for a survival-style mission. Everyone expects Grace to be competitive, but what no one expects is how effortlessly she and Yoongi form an unspoken alliance.
While the rest of the members are busy sabotaging each other, Grace and Yoongi quietly collect the necessary items, exchange barely-there nods, and execute their plan flawlessly. When they win, the members explode in disbelief.
"When did you two even talk about this?!" Namjoon demands.
Yoongi just smirks. "We didn’t need to."
From that point on, ARMY dubs them the Silent Dream Team, convinced they can communicate telepathically.
Tumblr media
During soundcheck for a stadium show, a live-streamed moment unexpectedly becomes legendary. Grace, wearing Yoongi’s hoodie (a fact that doesn’t go unnoticed), is practicing vocals when she suddenly realises it’s way too big for her. She lifts her hands—and the sleeves cover them completely.
Without thinking, she turns to Yoongi, shaking her sleeves like floppy noodles. "Fix this."
Yoongi, half-asleep and sipping coffee, looks up, sighs dramatically, and wordlessly rolls up her sleeves for her. The whole thing lasts maybe five seconds, but ARMY? They turn it into a meme, a sticker pack, and eventually, a full-blown merch line called "Fix This."
Tumblr media
During one of their future tour stops, BTS is performing UGH!, a song that requires intense energy. Everything is going smoothly until Grace decides to improvise.
Instead of rapping the part she has been given as written, she playfully flips a line, directing it straight at Yoongi.
The moment the words leave her mouth, Yoongi—mid-performance—actually forgets his next line.
It’s only for half a second, a barely-there stutter, but the entire fandom catches it.
The members definitely catch it too.
Namjoon nearly chokes on his own lyrics, Taehyung is trying (and failing) not to laugh, and Jungkook physically turns away so the cameras don’t catch him losing it.
Meanwhile, Grace? She just winks at Yoongi before continuing as if nothing happened.
ARMY goes feral.
“GRACE JUST GLITCHED YOONGI IN REAL TIME.”
“Someone check on him. His whole system shut down.”
“I DIDN’T KNOW THAT WAS EVEN POSSIBLE.”
After the performance, backstage footage catches Yoongi giving Grace a long look before sighing.
"You’re trouble," he mutters.
She grins. "You love it."
He doesn’t argue.

No see what's funny is that most of these people who are crying more than usual over the young bucks on the timeline today, don't realize they're are actively giving Matt and Nick more fuel to be bratty sassy assholes for their heel run. They walked in to daily's place and gained instant heat, has the internet FUMING the next day where they receive even bigger hate, that's another MISSION ACCOMPLISHED for the young bucks. GOOD. Let the internet wrestling community hate on these two all they want, the immense hatred these two receive ain't stopping the cash flow to their bank accounts when all is said and done

“One last night with you. I’m not asking for anything else.”
peterpatterlina
Luke swears, as a he takes a deep breath once deplaning, that the air here is fresher-even if he's sure Seattle has almost as much smog as LA. But he doesn't care-he's made it, to the birthplace of grunge. He had always wanted to come here, to soak up the energy, to see if it would inspire him, as it did Cobain.
Granted, Luke is only here for a few weeks-that's all he could afford, and all the time he could get off work, but he doesn't care. He's going to find a coffee shop-it doesn't matter which one, he doesn't drink the stuff-and just write.
Of course, he finds out pretty quickly that he has to buy things to loiter, and the first place he had stopped had prices that made his heart stop. Why was this fermented bean juice so damn expensive?
So he finds a smaller, dingier place that serves tea and cheap baked goods. The staff don't seem to mind him taking up one of their tables-the place isn't exactly bustling with patrons for them to care. Yet his paper is a mess of scratched out scribbles more than anything even after hours.
Just great, it seems his writer's block had jumped on the plane from Cali with him. He's about to pack it in, admit to himself that this had been a stupid, expensive, mistake, when the door opened and they walked in.
Like a burst of sunlight, he saw them-him a tall slender figure in black leather and red flannel with a twinkle in his eye and a smile that could melt butter. Her, a mass of curly hair held up by a few pencils, a song on her full lips, and brown eyes that caught his own in an instant.
Only, they kept walking-right behind the counter, reappearing an instant later in fresh aprons, saluting the faceless staff that Luke had paid little mind to when he came in here. Suddenly his throat felt dry, his stomach clenched in hunger, and he wondered if he had enough cash on him to stay there and chat until he took off back to LA once more.
He knew he didn't-hell he still had to find a hostel to take him in for the next little bit, but that didn't stop Luke from walking up to the counter to get another mug of tea and a scone.
Julie and Reggie-those were their names-smiled at him, threw out a joke or to that made him giggle and blush, and almost trip over himself as he went back to his chair. But Julie was right there with some napkins, and she stopped to read some of his scribbles.
"Can I?" she asked, nodding to the paper, and when he nodded, took one of the pencils from her hair, causing some curls to cascade down, and then added a line that felt like it was ripped out of Luke's own brain. "Reggie would be the one to talk to about adding the harmony, but maybe that will work?"
That was how it started-Luke came in every day to write, wait for Julie and Reggie to show up, and they spent the idle hours of the afternoon slump writing songs together. The music just flowed between them-what writer's block?
"We're not working tomorrow," Reggie remarked on Saturday.
"Oh," Luke deflated. They had been on such a roll, he didn't want to wait however long to capture it again. Nor wait to see them again-he was quickly becoming enamoured, and he knew it.
"So we thought maybe you'd like us to show you around town?" Reggie suggested.
"Yeah, see more of it than just our workplace?" Julie added.
"Oh! yes! I'd love that!" Luke exclaimed.
Then that became their norm-Luke would hang out with them on their off time-even if their coffee shop was cheaper, and he found them giving him just a bit of a discount, he was still going through his meagre savings there faster than he would like. They would bring him to the clubs yes, but also to their favourite park, to the top of the Space Needle, to a run down little beach that was littered with stones perfect for skipping.
But most important of all, they brought him home, to their cramped little apartment, full of plants and instruments, and a lazy mutt named Chewie that liked to sleep at their feet as they wrote over cheap ramen and even cheaper beer.
Luke loved it there, and he found himself there every night, cramped on their pokey little couch, writing away, borrowing Reggie's six string while Julie plonked on her keys and Reggie played bass, hammering out song after song, sometimes falling asleep between them, and not protesting when they wouldn't let him walk home.
Especially not when they dragged him into their bed between them-even if they didn't exactly sleep.
It was bliss.
Except-he had to go home soon. His job, his family, his life, was waiting for him. And he hadn't told Julie or Reggie that. They had simply asked if he was new in town, and he was too flustered to say anything but yes. It as the only lie between them, and it broke his heart to tell the truth.
They were understandably mad, and sullen, and he stayed away for the next few days, even as the clock ticked down. But then he was leaving the next day, and he couldn't bear not seeing them again. So he went to the coffee shop, proverbial hat in hand.
"What do you want?" Julie asked, the hurt evident in her voice, in Reggie's face. "Tea? Scone?"
“One last night with you. I’m not asking for anything else," Luke replied.
The two of them exchanged a look, a sigh, and a nod. "We're off at five," she finally said. "I expect a killer apology-not in song-and we can talk."
Luke quietly crumpled the paper in hs pocket-of course he had written them a song, he always found it easier to write his feelings than say them, but he could do it for them. He used the last of his cash to get them a pizza, and some grocery store flowers-the ones he had always seen in their apartment that he had never learned the name of.
He was surprised they let him into the apartment when he knocked, but they did, smiling privately when Julie softened at the blooms and Reggie grinned wide at the pizza. Launched into his explanation of always loving grunge, or feeling so disconnected from music back home and hoping a small change of scenery would help. When all he had really needed-was to meet them.
"We can try long distance," he suggested. "Until we can visit again. I...I don't want to lose either of you."
"Where is home?" Reggie finally asked.
"Oh, LA?"
Julie cackled at that, Reggie joining in until they were bent double over one another. Luke didn't get it, but he could compose a tune to the melody that was their laughter. "Why is that funny?" he finally asked.
"Luke, lindo, we're from LA," Julie stated.
"We came up here to find our own voices too," Reggie explained. "We met at uni here and have been together ever since. We always meant to go home we just..."
"Felt like we were waiting for something-someone-to give us a sign that it was time," Julie concluded, her eyes looking at Luke in a way that made everything make sense.
"Well I have to go home tomorrow, but maybe, maybe you guys could come with me?" Luke suggested.
Of course they couldn't, they had a whole life here they couldn't just upend. But they agreed to come visit when they could, to see if the three of them still worked, if LA felt right, and they-all of them-would make a plan from there.
The rest of the night, they resolved not to think about it, simply enjoying the pizza, and each other. Pretending that when Luke left the next morning that they would see him later that day instead of weeks-even months from now, though their goodbye kisses were bittersweet and salty with tears.
It took some doing, a few trips back and forth, some fights, some discussions, and one night when Luke was sure this was the end-but they finally figured themselves out. And Luke hopped on a plane, everything he cared about in two bulging duffels, and landed in Seattle just in time for Valentine's.
And there, with a bouquet of dahlias, two bright smiles, and a big sign proclaiming Welcome Home, were Julie and Reggie, waiting for him. And Luke-well he didn't really care where he was-because his home-it was wherever they were. And it always would be.
