🐺 ANIMAL WISDOM 🐦 . Today I want to show you two more paintings I recently created from different Life Book 2021 Taster Sessions . They may be totally different in terms of color, style and supplies, but both are meant to reflect and create intentionally, to receive messages from or through these animals, that are associated with wisdom . The first one is "Eagle's Wisdom" from the session with @melanie2_rivers and the second one is "Fox Wisdom" inspired by @willowing . Which piece speaks more to you? There is an aliveness and joy in stepping into the messy beauty of contrast. Choosing to move away from safe and see how the story evolves. Being in that space of trust that is intuitive art and allowing connections to form. My imagined owl story worlds make me smile and add brightness along the way. As I post this work in progress, I feel like the wing of the large owl wants to be a small owl huddling into the mother owls side. I love how these story relationships evolve when I pause and listen into this guided story space as she evolves. I am always curious about where the story will lead and what messages it holds along the way. I wonder what part of this art story calls to you? Random updates to wrap up April and welcome May: 🖋- I am beyond happy about using my pen name, and for the changes I’ve implemented on this account. I’ve started unfollowing every account that doesn’t directly feed my creative, writerly life because ✨I’m only on here to talk about books, writing, and creating.✨ Okay, yes, I follow cute animals, too. It’s called “balance”.) 🌌- I am *serious* about a buddy read/book club for Big Magic. It would be the perfect overlap of my professional skills and my heart’s passion!! I’m thinking starting around midsummer (June 24) for a month so that it would be right on the mid year! Thoughts on this?? Pls share below. 💖- I’ve been inspired by a former student/current colleague (you know who you are 😉) to try a new approach to healing my PTSD. The process is emotionally painful yet effective. (More on this some day.) ✍️- New therapy is helping me untangle my relationship with writing. I’m able to see the natural space between my writing & the outcomes of the writing. 📚 - Since creativity is expansive, I have room for more than one story at once. READ THIS TO AMPLIFY YOUR DESIRES…. 4 intentional creation techniques that will help you to actualize your manifestations: ⚡️ 1. Meditation with intention 👉🏼 i know what you’re thinking… meditation?! So boring. well, actually: anything in life can be meditation. walking, laughing, silence, singing, etc. when you take the time to set an intention BEFORE doing any task, it becomes that of meditation. to create something you’re desiring, simply set the intention that “X” action will create “Y” result. take a moment to feel that belief as true + watch how it begins to show itself to you! ⚡️2. aligned action 👉🏼 sometimes when we’re actively trying to manifest, we inherently get impulses that push us in the direction of our desires; these usually come after periods of rest or relaxation. choose to follow those impulses as a result of intentional focus + they will lead to bigger + bigger manifestations each time! ⚡️3. Blue Moon in Aquarius ♒ #fullmoondrawing "Untitled" This was a deeep dive y'all and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. 😜 I mean.. it can get really ugly....but if you're consciously making a choice to heal, then it's so worth it. This was definitely a twofer...Two Aquarius Full Moons, water, emotions,.... two different perspectives. First one, I was sick and I just couldn't. This one I was ready for, but the Universe had a different plan. Full moons letting go double.lol. So...journaled heavy and sat down to do this piece and it just poured out and it was good, it was heavy, it was full of wisdom and love and it told me a story. I'm greatful. I had thousand names for it but I let it be after asking my son what he thought this was about...his answer was so.....we are healing y'all, trust this.
