On one hand, Young Justice is kind of neglected by the actual superheroes that should be looking out for them in a lot of crucial ways and very much failed by the adults around them

But on the other hand Red Tornado straight up hosts a parent-teacher conference where their respective legal guardians all show up, barring Batman who’s in traffic so Nightwing fills in instead because Robin’s dad does not know he’s a vigilante which is objectively hilarious

#Superboy does not have a name and his ass is constantly getting groomed like Clark please take a more active role in his life #And all of these guys need a healthy interaction with their respective legacies that does not involve heroing #Take them out for lunch! Play a video game with them! the thing about being a disabled grad student is that if you want even half a chance you constantly have to not only reveal but interrogate and explain your softest most vulnerable parts. while people around you act like this is just completely normal and actually that is not the softest most vulnerable part of you and actually you are exactly the same as all of them. so you feel like you are in disguise as exactlythesame while also completely exposed. and you just have to live like that. absolutely insane

i personally am not sure if there's forgotten trauma memories for myself, or if the trauma was too subtle for me to consciously acknowledge it, or if i just turned out plural all on my own, but at the end of the day the thing that matters most is that my system is real, respectful of others, and on the way to find mental stability

back from clinical. i did not kill anyone and some patients laughed at my dumb jokes 👍

#now to do another twelve hours tomorrow #it's strange because we're allowed to do *fewer* things at this clinical than we were at our very first one #like last time we could pass meds and give injections 'n stuff as long as an RN was with us #but for this one they're like 'hand out food trays take vitals and do NOT touch anything or talk to a patient alone for the love of god'#this is our mental health rotation so i know there are safety and/or liability concerns on both ends #but i still feel bad standing around being useless for so much of the day #the tradeoff is that it's a hospital setting so we get to observe and/or interact with lot of different specialties #so even if we're not actively doing things we're still learning?#kathryn vs higher education

so obsessed with susato that i forgot that her saving holmes's life wasn't something i just made up in my head but implied by the game to have been What Actually Happened.

#mikotoba susato #she's so everything. literally who is doing it like her. fantastic phenomenal iconic brilliant amazing etc etc #tgaa spoilers #dgs #i've always thought that susato's perspective on the direct aftermath of the shooting would be extremely interesting to explore #largely in part due to her treatment of holmes's wound blending his past with mikotoba and his present with the girl he is actively #devastatingly lying to whom he now owes his life to. and all the complicated emotions that must arise from that for him and then for her #when she eventually learns the truth #but also in part due to how her reputation in gregson's (and barok's too potentially?) eyes must have been changed afterwards. they both #know her as the almost eternally composed judicial assistant and they respect her for that in spite of their prejudices but she now she's #gone and saved a man's life and i think that respect grows... deeper? more personal? as a result. and regardless of how poised and composed #susato is she must have been somewhat shaken by the events right? she was probably terrified. and being questioned right after she's #bloodied her hands and clothes cant have helped so i imagine they must have seen that too. seen her more as the person she is rather than #just the title she possesses.#which i think would be interesting to explore. lots of untapped potential here i need to go back and replay to see if there is a slight #change in how gregson and barok interact with her but i believe there was. there shouldve been even if there wasnt idc #she is the moment. no one will ever come close 😤✊

My emotionally immature ass still doesn't understand a thing of how people can pity characters

Not like I don't try to understand it! I just... Can't? Understand that??? At all???

Like why would you pity a character for their sad backstory or whatever, and poof suddenly a character is pitiful as hell, and suddenly they're understandable because a person can call them a wet kitten under their care

And that's something I can't do for some reason

And again, not like I didn't *try*, it's just a thing I can't understand at any capacity other than 'some people do that to show their affection of that character, that's their way of caring

Granted talking to more people makes you understand them better! Doesn't help much! But it's something!!

Good god I need a person to be a close friend or something to actually care #I have no idea how people live understanding everyone and being soooo kind and giving #I learn how that works though! I try to at least appear that way as it looks like I'm some kind of villain otherwise #But idk over the years I've been getting better at trying my best to comfort ones I talk to and interact with #In any case! I'm kind of sick rn and on a walk so thinking is normal #This topic actually keeps me so confused for years at this point bc people I've met have been so open and mature with their emotions #Amd then there's me ruining everything every time just because I don't get it #I get being curious I get being selfish and cruel for the sake of it #I don't get being patient and understanding to someone like that when they're actively making you uncomfortable #Which is why I'm sure am writing and enjoy characters with conflicts like that - just look at whatever characters I draw #I never get too far from characters that brings me comfort of being normal in a weird way #Anyway!
