To tylko takie moje luźne przemyślenia o życiu i tak dalej. Jeśli masz ochotę poczytać i poznać moje paczenie na niektóre tematy zapraszam :)

Do napisania tego wszystkiego skłoniła mnie przeważająca część naszego edowego piekiełka na Tumblr. Może przemyślenia tetryka, który lata nastoletnie ma dawno za sobą… Jednocześnie nie tak dawno by pamiętać jaka wtedy byłam i co czułam skłoni was do przemyśleń :)

Zawsze byłam żyjącą w swoim świecie nastolatką. Samotniczką, która nie potrzebowała innych by dobrze się czuć. Jednoczenie na tyle otwartą, że szybko potrafiłam sobie zjednać ludzi. Gdy ktoś ze mną dłużej porozmawiał często mawiał „nie sądziłam/em że taka jesteś! Brałem/am cię za bardzo ponurą osobę, która chce by zostawić ją w spokoju”. Cóż z drugą częścią się zgadzałam. Lubiłam być sama a na dłuższą metę męczyły mnie interakcje z innymi. Do tej pory tak mam. Wole spotkać się raz na jakiś czas, porządnie pogadać i nie odzywać się przez kilka miesięcy, niż codziennie z kimś obcować.

Do szkoły zawsze miałam rzutem kamieniem, moja mama nigdy nie pracowała zatem o żadnej wolnej chacie można było zapomnieć. Wszelkie spóźnienia również nie wchodziły w role. Byłam mocno kontrolowana co robie. Tata praktycznie był nieobecny bo ciągnął finansowo ten cały cyrk zwany rodziną. Przeżywałam swoje prywatne piekiełko związane z przemocą fizyczną oraz psychiczną ze strony mamy i patrząc na to z perspektywy czasu sama sobie się dziwie, że byłam tak dzielna. Niczym skała pośród szalejących fal oceanu. Nie chce się przechwalać. Nie o to mi chodzi. Po prostu to fakt. Nie przechodziłam burzliwie nastoletnich lat. Szkoła, dom, internet, oceny mocno średnie podchodzące pod słabe. Nie przechodziłam buntu. Nie było na niego miejsca. Jak robiłam coś nie tak nie kończyło się to jak w filmach zamknięciem się w pokoju, trzaśnięciem drzwiami przed nosem rodzica. Gdybym się tak zachowała nie drzwi byłyby trzaśnięte a moja twarz.

Przytłaczające mnie emocje i uczucia skrzętnie ukrywałam wewnątrz. Na zewnątrz zawsze byłam uśmiechnięta, skłonna do pomocy i pogaduszek. Nie robiłam sobie krzywdy. Robiono mi ją w domu zatem nie były mi potrzebne dodatkowe rany fizyczne. Moim wentylem bezpieczeństwa w tamtych czasach było malowanie, pisanie opowiadań, wierszy, granie w mmorpg i oglądanie anime.

Taki sposób marnowanie czasu z pewnością pomogło mi nie dostać pierdolca. Z perspektywy lat wszystkie moje nerwy i stresy związane ze szkołą były kompletnie bezużyteczne. Jako, że miałam wyjebongo na opinie innych, w tym moich rodziców, nie mogę wypowiedzieć się na tematy w stylu „jak się czuje będąc obgadywaną”. Mogę powiedzieć tylko, że osoby znęcające się nad innymi mają większe kompleksy od osoby „słabszej” w stadzie. Wielokrotnie pomagało mi spojrzenie w oczy komuś kto ze mną zaczynał i powiedzenie „jakie ty musisz mieć smutne życie, że cię obchodzi co robie albo jak się zachowuje. Jak masz kompleksy idź porozmawiaj o tym z kimś kogo to obchodzi a nie próbujesz się na kimś wyżywać”.

Oczekiwania innych i nasze własne. Z upływem czasu okazują się bezsensowne oraz trywialne. Chce mi się śmiać z jakiego powodu potrafiłam robić sobie mentalną krzywdę i wiercić samej sobie w brzuchu. Naprawdę, oceny, wybór szkoły, kierunku etc w bardzo małym procencie w ogóle wpłynie na wasze życie w przyszłości. Jeśli nie idziecie na kierunki typu medycyna, prawo, inżynieria nowoczesna wszelkiego rodzaju, nie musicie się aż tak mocno starać, wypruwać sobie żył etc. Mało kto pracuje w zawodzie wyuczonym. Trzeba balansować na cienkiej linii a wręcz na niej tańczyć. Bo nie można stać w miejscu ani za bardzo się starać by nie spaść. Będąc dorosłym czuje się wypalenie zawodowe, zbyt często czuje się bezsensowność tego wszystkiego co się robi. Rzuca się wszystko w cholerę i zaczyna się robić coś innego. Takie zmiany są potrzebne by stymulować mózg, aby się nie nudził. Nawet robiąc coś co się kocha zbyt często oraz zbyt intensywnie można poczuć się tym zmęczonym. Zatem trzeba być jak ta ćma, krążyć wokół żarówki, ale nie zbliżać się do niej zbyt blisko by nie spłonąć.

Często nie zdajemy sobie sprawy, że płoniemy. A gdy dotrze do nas ta informacja za późno, gdy to zauważymy najczęściej nie ma już odwrotu. Zwala się wtedy na nas ten cały ból, rozczarowanie, zawód i cała reszta z siłą lawiny. Przygniatając nas tak mocno, że nie można złapać oddechu.

Zbyt rzadko wszystko idzie zgodnie z tym co sobie zakładamy. Można całe życie przejść z różowymi okularami na nosie, może spływać po nas wszystko niczym po gumowej kaczce. Zazdroszczę osobą, które tak potrafią. Ja za bardzo się o wszystko martwię, za bardzo wszystko analizuje do porzygu, aż moja szansa przechodzi mi koło nosa.

Życie to wyścig szczurów. Jak jest się młodym biegnie się na samym początku, później, gdy dopada zmęczenie można:

a) biec, aż padnie się na zawał, b) zwolnić tępo by inni nas minęli czując, że sobie nie radzisz, c) zwolnić tępo z własnej woli bo życie to maraton a nie sprint, d) biec dalej skacząc po plecach tych co zwalniają będąc bezwzględnym.

Jaką opcje wybierzecie to zależy już od was. Niczym w milionerach macie możliwość skorzystać z pomocy. Telefon do przyjaciela to rozmowa z bliskimi o tym jak się czujecie i wyciągnięcie wniosków. Pytanie do publiczności - coś w stylu tego czym karmi nas TikTok, Facebook, instagram i cała reszta mediów. Zaś 50:50? Przyrównałabym to do zostawienia sobie dwóch z czterech opcji na ślepo i wybranie tego co według was będzie najlepsze.

Nie chce tu pisać jakie życie bywa okrutne i malować rzeczywistość jedynie w ciemnych barwach. To czy będziemy szczęśliwi czy nie… Nie zawsze mamy na to wpływ. Jednak można dać się ogarnąć tym wszystkim złym myślom i zatopić. Można również je przyjmować jak coś normalnego i cieszyć się z najdrobniejszych rzeczy w życiu. Wyszedł ci super obiad? Ciesz się. Kupiłeś sobie coś fajnego choć to tylko drobiazg? Ekstra!

Mamy tendencje do większgo zapamiętywania krzywd, niż dobrych momentów. Na 100 przychylnych komentarzy zapamiętasz ten jeden z krytyką. Można mówić i udawać, że nas to nie rusza i czytać wszystko jak leci. Jednak te złe słowa, złośliwości w życiu będą cię nawiedzać w randomowych momentach zatruwając dzień po dniu. Aby nie zwariować należy po prostu tego nie czytać. Ograniczyć do minimum porównywanie się do innych. Pragnienie by mieć lepiej, by być jak z obrazka jest normalne. Każdy chciałby mieć super związek, nie martwić się pieniędzmi, mieć spoko prace, w której się nie narobisz i być cool. Warto do tego dążyć, ale nie ślepo i maniakalnie. Bo nawet, gdy mijasz kogoś w luksusowym samochodzie na ulicy i myślisz „ten to ma dobrze” wcale ten człowiek nie musi mieć tak kolorowo w życiu jak nam się wydaje. Z reguły takie osoby mają więcej długów, niż diabeł gwoździ. Albo miały tego zajebistego farta urodzić się w bogatej rodzinie. Jednak jeden błąd może to wszystko zniweczyć. Nawet nie błąd a po prostu zmiany na świecie. I bańka pęka. Nic nie trwa wiecznie.

Dlatego cieszcie się pierdołami dla zachowania higieny psychicznej. Nawet, gdy jesteście w dołku starajcie się widzieć piękno jakie was otacza. Nawet jeśli mieszkacie w samym centrum pośród rozpadających się kamienic i zaszczanych bram gdzie wszystko jest brudne, rozpada się i psuje spójrzcie w niebo i podziwiajcie jego kolor, chmury czy cieszcie się promieniami słońca. Niech was cieszy piosenka, która wam podeszła do gustu, uśmiechajcie się, gdy zobaczycie jakiś ulotny uroczy czy zabawny moment. Niech w środku waszego jestestwa panuje spokój nawet jeśli wokół szaleje burza a wszystko obraca się w pył.

Pamiętajcie, że nie ma sytuacji bez wyjścia. Dzisiejsze tragedie za jakiś czas skwitujecie „i ja się tym przejmowałam/em? XD”

Jak wam coś nie pasuje zmieńcie to bądź swoje podejście do tej rzeczy/miejsca/osoby. Życie jest wasze i tylko wasze. Róbcie co chcecie, co sprawia wam przyjemność (oczywiście w granicy prawa nie krzywdząc innych ;) ). Pozwólcie sobie być egoistami, egocentrykami doceniając siebie. To wasze życie. Jeśli chcecie rzuć coś w cholerę to wasza sprawa. Wam ma być dobrze nawet jeśli będzie to oznaczać życie z dnia na dzień będąc bezdomnym. To wasza sprawa. Naprawdę. Jeśli tylko wam tak będzie wygodnie, nawet jeśli będziecie dążyć do samodestrukcji to wasze życie i jeśli tylko wam to naprawdę pasuje to wasza sprawa. Musicie to się zesrać i pójść spać - jakby to absurdalnie i śmiesznie brzmiało. A pewne w życiu są tylko podatki i smierć.

Dlatego róbcie tak by w waszym mniemaniu godnie to wszystko zanosić. By móc spojrzeć sobie w oczy. Popełniacie błędy? A kto ich nie popełnia? Zjebiesz coś w swoim życiu? Ponieś za to konsekwencje i idź dalej. Życie to sinusoida dobrych i złych momentów. Nie bójcie się ryzykować i stracić „wszystkiego” na co pracowaliście do danej pory. Może nie wyjść a może okaże się ta decyzja była strzałem w dziesiątkę.

previously i'd speculated all 4 polycule members will meet at falme at the end of s2, but the more i think about it, the more i suspect min won't go to falme in the show.

a) no sign of her in any of the images/shots from falme we have so far, or in the pic of the 3 wondergirls preparing for a trip. of course, i can't base an argument that she won't be in falme only on the fact that we don't have proof that she will be, but at the very least, we don't have proof that she will be.

b) unless they plan to significantly change her one non-rand-centric canon storyline, she needs to be at the white tower in season 3. no one else who will end s2 in falme will be headed for tar valon in s3 (no, for the love of god, egwene and elayne are NOT going to make a detour there in s3 just so they can take the accepted tests their stories don't actually need them to take), so it feels unlikely to me that min would travel halfway across the continent back to the white tower all by herself rather than joining one of the other roadtrips or being asked to join by someone who wants her viewings to help them out (for example, elayne and nynaeve would surely be eager for her help with black ajah hunting). not impossible, but just kinda clunky to have her go from tar valon to falme back to tar valon in quick succession rather than simply staying in tar valon the whole time.

c) the only things we know for certain about min in s2 are that her aunts have been cast and that at some point she is standing in front of a window that looks like the window in what appears to be rand's inn room in cairhien in the trailer (this is a quick post so i'm not digging up screenshots, but i did a window comparison the other day and confirmed that min's window defs is similar to/the same as the window in that shot of rand channeling fire alone at night). we also know for certain from s1 that her hometown is tar valon in the showverse, and we can predict with decent confidence that siuan makes a trip to cairhien in s2 while rand is there. now let's pull all this together into a prediction.

after losing her livelihood in fal dara, min heads home to her aunts in tar valon, and tar valon is where we first see her in season 2. maybe we start with a taste of her home life (so that she can actually have a backstory and relationships outside of rand), and then she winds up in the white tower (maybe because moiraine suspects she'd go to tar valon after leaving fal dara and has gotten word to siuan to keep an eye out for her). she spends an episode or two or three forming connections with siuan, the wondergirls, and possibly mat, and maybe having her powers studied by aes sedai or trying to research them herself. siuan gets wind (probably from moiraine) that rand is the dragon reborn and is currently in cairhien, so around mid/mid-late season, she travels there with logain (whom she hopes can teach rand to channel) and min (whom she hopes might have useful viewings about rand) in tow. the three of them spend one episode there and all return to tar valon at the end of it so they'll be in place for their s3 storyline. this is the last we see of min, siuan, and logain in s2.

i'll also add a very flimsy d) i read some random person on the internet claim that kae alexander isn't a regular in s2, so if true, that would likely mean she doesn't appear in all 8 episodes, which could in turn mean she'll be absent from the late season if my speculation that she'll be present in the early and middle season is correct.

so, what are the story implications of min not going to falme? honestly..........not much. the fact that she was kidnapped by the seanchan and witnessed their abuse of egwene firsthand had so little effect on her in subsequent books that i had genuinely completely forgotten it had happened by about book 4. i remember thinking later in the series "huh, i remember min was at falme, but how the hell did she even get there?" and drawing a total blank! her involvement in that storyline was literally never referenced again after TDR-ish. so i could imagine that rafe & co might have taken a look at her long-term book arc (lmao at the idea that min even has a long-term book arc to look at!) and decided to jettison her falme stuff because it never plays a role in her story again, especially if the restructuring of other characters' timelines means that min being in falme would make it difficult for her to make it to her much-more-important tower storyline in s3.

what does this mean for polycule development? again, not much. it would be a small bummer to lose the chance of min and aviendha meeting before either gets involved with rand, but that's not a big deal because i'm still confident the show will make much more of an effort to develop their relationship in later seasons than the books did. i do worry that we might lose out on some TGH min-elayne bonding (more because of min's potential cairhien trip than her potential falme absence), but as long as they have some hangout time in an early episode(s) of s2 and get to spend more time together later on than they do in the books, that's okay.

min would lose the TGH confrontation with lanfear over rand, but a) she would instead get more bonding time with an Actually Conscious rand during their cairhien episode, and that would be much more meaningful & believable relationship development than her telling lanfear she's got a claim on this rando she talked to one time, and b) i really am frothing at the mouth for that confrontation to go to egwene instead, with lanfear taunting her for choosing the tower over rand and that turning into a sort of "we may not be right for each other as romantic partners but i'll always love him in one way or another, so fuck off, lanfear" moment of closure for egwene like rand got in 1x08. and i for one would much prefer a natural, gradual relationship development for the polycule over the show broadcasting "Rand Is Fated To Have 3 Girlfriends, And Here's Who They Are" before anyone's remotely close to getting together, like the books did, and it would be all too easy for that broadcasting to happen if all 4 of them crossed paths at falme and if min had the confrontation with lanfear.

Let's (re)Read The Eye of the World! Chapter 46: Fal Dara

Another day, another spoiler warning. Do not read this reread if you don't want the entirety of Wheel of Time to be spoiled for you. The revelation that the seven seals are the fragments of Lews Therin's childhood sled Rosamund needs to be experienced within the text itself, not blabbed on some internet blog. Block the tags and move on!

This chapter has the tree at night icon, which is interesting since this chapter takes place in the day and the journey the heroes undergo isn't the main thrust of the chapter. Perhaps it reflects Fain? Or maybe Jordan couldn't think of a good fit for this chapter but didn't want to make up a whole new icon just for one single one.

Rand shook his head. Trees bursting? And that was during an ordinary winter. What must this winter have been like? Surely like nothing he could imagine.

As a young lad growing up in Alaska, I could only laugh at Rand's naivety. Really, there were almost no winter scenes that could impress me in fantasy worlds. Shit's cold, y'all.

“Curtains.” Perrin chuckled. He immediately wiped the smile off his face when the two women raised their eyebrows at him. “Oh, I agree with you. There wasn’t enough rust on that scythe for any more than a week in the open. You should have seen that, Mat. Even if you missed the curtains.”

Perrin, don't mock Egwene for having pretty decent Sherlock Holmes deductions. You can't even hide your supernatural powers from everyone else. Why is the people ta'veren so bad at subterfuge?

“So many?” Perrin said. “The stories say the Green Man is hard to find, and no one can find him twice.”

When I first read this bit, I was immediately put in mind of The Neverending Story's Childlike Empress, who (at least in the books) operates on similar rules. More on that in a moment.

If you boys . . . you men, can do what has to be done when you’d rather do almost anything else, why do you think I will do less? Or Egwene?

Isn't Nynaeve wonderful? She's got every reason to beat Rand over the head with a stick for this suggestion - and let's be real, that's absolutely her habit - but instead she sticks with complimenting Rand and insisting at staying by his side.

“I only danced with Aram, Rand,” she said softly, not looking at him. “You wouldn’t hold it against me, dancing with somebody I will never see again, would you?”

Was Egwene being super possessive about all of this because she thought Rand would behave the same way? Just trying to beat him to the punch because he's been so consistently shitty during this adventure? It seems like a better explanation for her behavior than anything else, and lets us move past this, right? We're never bringing this up again book, RIGHT????? PLEASE?

It's such an annoying subplot...

A number of others shouted, “Glory to the Builders!” and, “Kiserai ti Wansho!” Loial looked surprised, then a broad smile split his face and he waved to the guards.

Poor Loial, wasting all of his time in the south where people think everything interesting is all snarks and grumpkins instead of going to the North where the people know that all the myths are true. The Ogier stoneworking probably has done more to forestall the fall of the west than any specific person.

From one of the gate towers an armored man called down, “Welcome, Dai Shan.” Another shouted to the inside of the fortress, “The Golden Crane! The Golden Crane!”

This chapter is also our first taste of just how wildly popular Lan is in the Borderlands. It's probable that he gets the most love here in Shienar, since presumably most of the diaspora ended up here and the countries used to be neighbors, but he gets plenty of respect everywhere else too. It's a shame his relationship with his people and supporters is so tenuous at this point.

“Things are never as bad as they appear, Dai Shan. A little worse than usual this year, that is all. The raids continued through the winter, even in the hardest of it. But the raiding was no worse than anywhere else along the Border. They still come in the night, but what else can be expected in the spring, if this can be called spring. Scouts return from the Blight—those who do come back—with news of Trolloc camps. Always fresh news of more camps. But we will meet them at Tarwin’s Gap, Dai Shan, and turn them back as we always have.”

Good on Ingtar for being so optimistic. Shame it's all a damned lie and he genuinely thinks that it's only a matter of time before the Trollocs finally overwhelm humankind and drive them to extinction. It makes him a rather funny contrast to Lan, who as we've established is not remotely optimistic about anything but is completely faithful in his service to the Light.

“Ninte calichniye no domashita, Agelmar Dai Shan,” Moiraine replied formally, but with a note in her voice that said they were old friends.

The sheer amount of Old Tongue being thrown at us in this segment is a bit annoying because most of it is just nonsense at this point. (And really later on too.)

I am so sad that we'll never get to know how Moiraine and Agelmar became old friends. They must have crossed paths many times in her twenty year search for such a relationship, which makes me wonder: why? What Black Ajah schemes was Moiraine trying to thwart? It's still a damn shame we never got the other two prequel novels.

Agelmar hesitated, pulling a map from the tangle on the table. He stared unseeing at the map for a moment, then tossed it back. “When we ride to the Gap,” he said quietly, “the people will be sent south to Fal Moran. Perhaps the capital can hold. Peace, it must. Something must hold.”

I have to note though that Jordan's having the Borderlands in this kind of state so early on in the novels really hurt the overall momentum of the story. In just a few books - a year and a half of in-universe time - the Blight will be unnaturally quiet and the monarchs of the land utterly derelict in their duties. The later quiet does make a good deal of sense (the Shadow is holding everything it has back for the Last Battle), but the overall arc isn't strong as a result and the monarchs look incredibly stupid for having forgotten what just happened and being unable to connect the dots even as Maradon comes under siege.

When he raised his head his blue eyes burned with a fierce light, but his voice was calm again, and flat. “I am a Warder, Agelmar.” His sharp gaze slid across Rand and Mat and Perrin to Moiraine. “At first light I ride to the Blight.”

In a way, this moment must be something of Lan's last temptation. He's offered what he wants, a suicidal but honorable battle in the Blight. Further, from here on out, his path is set: Moiraine arranges for him to be handed him off to Myrelle next book so there's no way for him to truly leave, and then of course Nynaeve plays interception and keeps him alive until the end. For all the tragedy of Lan's upbringing, it is good he never gave way to this option and that he doesn't now; all he would have accomplished is the loss of too many good fighters in battles that didn't matter.

Rand abruptly realized the Lord of Fal Dara assumed it was Nynaeve and Egwene who with Moiraine would fight against the Dark One. It was natural. That sort of struggle meant using the One Power, and that meant women. That sort of struggle means using the Power. He tucked his thumbs behind his sword belt and gripped the buckle hard to keep his hands from shaking.

I like how subtle Jordan has been about Rand's firm denial about what's happening to him. Even here, it's not immediately apparent that he's forcing down the revelation about what Moiraine's quest means.

“You have seen the Green Man, Moiraine Sedai?” The Lord of Fal Dara sounded impressed, but in the next breath he frowned. “But if you have already met him once. . . .” “Need is the key,” Moiraine said softly, “and there can be no greater need than mine. Than ours. And I have something those other seekers have not.”

The exact mechanics of how Moiraine pulls this off are technically obscure - she's probably right about need, but surely there's more to it than that since the Green Man decides and apparently never helped anyone twice before but...

There was a reason I mentioned the Childlike Empress, whose "once per customer" logic had a single, strange loophole. Visitors from our world were able to see her as many times as they wished, because each time was the first time. I can't help but wonder if Rand's ta'veren made it so that to the Green Man and his magic, something like this was going on as the party approached.

“The Trolloc Wars left nothing but memories, Loial, son of Arent, and people to build on them. They could not duplicate the Builders’ work, any more than could I. Those intricate curves and patterns your people create are beyond human eyes and hands to make. Perhaps we wished to avoid a poor imitation that would only have been an ever-present reminder to us of what we had lost. There is a different beauty in simplicity, in a single line placed just so, a single flower among the rocks. The harshness of the stone makes the flower more precious. We try not to dwell too much on what is gone. The strongest heart will break under that strain.”

I hope that when the Last Battle is done and the Blight is gone, the Borderlanders can embrace intricate and soft beauty again. They're not wrong in their aesthetic, stark and simple can be truly great, but there is something tragic in their being forced into it by the Shadow when they're clearly a far more poetic people than circumstances permit.

“Your pardon, Aes Sedai, but I must see to this. Perhaps he is only a pitiful wretch with his mind blinded by the Light, but. . . . Two days gone, five of our own people were found in the night trying to saw through the hinges of a horse-gate. Small, but enough to let Trollocs in.” He grimaced. “Darkfriends, I suppose, though I hate to think it of any Shienaran. They were torn to pieces by the people before the guards could take them, so I’ll never know. If Shienarans can be Darkfriends, I must be especially careful of outlanders in these days. If you wish to withdraw, I will have you shown to your rooms.”

Again with that beautiful hypocrisy. You probably do know, Ingtar. You might very well have been the man who set them to it, thinking and hoping that a fast and painful battle yesterday might lead to a retreat today, with more men spared to fall back in the capital and forestall the end just a little while longer.

Or maybe not. Darkfriends do operate in cells and this one might have been entirely beyond Ingtar's reach.

“He made me his hound! His hound, to hunt and follow with never a bit of rest. Only his hound, even after he threw me away.”

And since Ingtar has proven false, I wonder a great deal about the other major Darkfriend in this chapter. Is he playing up the Smeagol act so that they'll underestimate him, maybe even try to set him on a path to redemption so that they can all be corrupted or killed faster? Did the merger he just experienced with Machin Shin leave him pretty traumatized in an immediate sense? Is he really experiencing spells that have him alternating between the Smeagol and the Gollum, possibly as a result of all the different forms of evil running through him? Will any of this matter after book seven or so?

“Great Lord, your might is unquestioned, but can it stand against the Dark One forever? Do you not often find yourself pressed to hold? Forgive my temerity, Great Lord; he will crush you in the end, as you are. I know; believe me, I do. But I can show you how to scour the Shadow from the land, Great Lord.”

This seems to be the Shadar Logoth surfacing but getting all mixed up with the Darkfriendliness along the way. I feel like calling anyone in the Borderlands "Great Lord" is a hell of a way to make enemies.

Stopping behind Mat’s chair, Moiraine put a hand on his shoulder and bent to whisper in his ear. Whatever she said, the tension went out of his face, and he took his hand from under his coat.

I suspect that when Mat loses a great deal of his memories, this particular moment is one of the ones that goes out. Again we do see that Moiraine can be a human, caring mentor figure, she's just not very good at it.

Day 23: ALERT! ALERT! ⚠️📣 ⚠️ A TSUNAMI OF NEW INFORMATION INCOMING!

This is not a drill! And btw, no... this is not a leak to one of the books of the third movie nor major spoilers from the film. This is information I found exclusively on the internet. The first one is from a portuguese page talking about the characters in a way nobody has done before, with more information we could have ever imagine. The second one is an spanish interview about many things.

João Paulo Rodrigues once again lends his voice to Tadeo Jones, better known as Tad the Explorer.

Tad's biggest dream is to be accepted by his archeology colleagues, but he always manages to complicate things. However, Tad had several surprising discoveries: the Lost City of Paititi and The Necklace of King Midas, which have remained secret because revealing the truth can cause unknown dangers. Therefore, Tad's abilities remain unknown. He dreams of being accepted by the archaeological community, which leads him to his next adventure to discover where the Emerald Tablet is hidden.

Mafalda Luís de Castro is the voice of Ramona, the Egyptian mummy hidden in the Louvre Museum who turns out to be Ra-Amon-Ah, a lost queen of the 18th dynasty, advisor to Queen Nefertiti and Tutankhamun's aunt. Her period in her power only lasted 3 days and as a result no one recognized her reign. Therefore, her greatest desire is to be rediscovered and exposed in a museum to receive all the historical attention she deserves.

Rui Oliveira is the voice of the Mummy, who after 500 years as a guardian of the Lost City of Paititi, was expelled when Tad made the archaeological discovery. Now the hilarious Inca mummy has become Tad's sidekick. The Mummy unleashes an ancient spell on himself, and Tad will have to find the Emerald Tablet to stop the Mummy's curse.

Ana Vieira lends her voice to Victoria, the Queen of paranormal television shows. Victoria Moon was Sara's close friend, but paths parted when her obsession with ghosts and spirits was exaggerated. Loucatoria, as she is known by the scientific community, now has a new goal: to find the Emerald Tablet of Hermes… and Sara and Tad are the only ones who can help her.

Márcia Correia gives the voice to determined and courageous Sara, a world-famous archaeologist. She specializes in pre-Columbian cultures and now leads an international archaeological team in Mexico to find the location of King Pakal's Tomb. Sara invited Tad on her expedition, unaware of his clumsy ways and the trouble he's about to unleash. She will have to team up with Tad to fight the evil forces of the underworld.

Carlos Macedo lends the voice to Ryu , José Nobre to Brian and Daniela Viçoso to Ann, the most brilliant archaeologists in the world. But Tad's antics do not help these young, intelligent and well-prepared archaeologists to accept him on their team.

Luís Mascarenhas and Helena Mota lend their voices to Pickles and Ramirez, respectively.

Special Agent Sam Pickle is an old-fashioned police officer obsessed with missions. Agent Ramirez is an investigator who never thought having Pickle as a partner would be her hardest task. They are willing to travel to the end of the world to find out what is behind Tad's actions. Ramirez will add common sense and effectiveness to Pickle's quest whenever necessary.

Emilia Ermelinda Duarte lends her voice to Mrs. Wolfstrom (the old lady who thinks Tad is a criminal for the shenanigans happening in his apartment)

Tad also has the company of Jeff, his faithful canine companion. He's a free-spirited, loving dog, but Jeff isn't the most obedient.

And with Belzoni, Sara's mute and moody parrot. Although he can't speak, he finds many ways to express himself.

CURIOSITIES OF THE THIRD ADVENTURE OF TADEO JONES...

To develop a third part of Tadeo Jones, they (the crew) searched for almost two years for an interesting concept to add to the franchise. Several stories that weren't interesting enough were discarded until they came up with a great concept: what would happen if our Inca Mummy was affected by an Egyptian curse? That concept triggered the minds of all of us who were involved in the project and marked the definitive start of Tadeo Jones 3.

If the Egyptian curse drives the entire adventure, the concept that internally articulates the entire film is Tadeo's desperation to be recognized (finally) as an archaeologist. And the fact that the more he tries to get that recognition, the further he ends up from being accepted.

The approach from the beginning was to achieve a feature film that would penetrate deeper into the adult audience without neglecting the children's audience for a moment. This has resulted in the richest and most ambitious film of the entire saga.

The initial moment in which an Egyptian sarcophagus is located in a Mayan pyramid is inspired by all the existing theories that the Egyptian and pre-Columbian cultures were somehow connected in ancient times. Despite being separated by 9,000 km, both worshiped the sun, built pyramids, had hieroglyphic writing, mummified their dead...

Tadeo Jones 3 is the first film in the saga in which there is no traditional villain and The Great Antagonist ends up being the Emerald Tablet, an object desired by all, but whose power no one manages to dominate.

The Ammit, the monster that Mummy becomes, is a being from Egyptian mythology that appears in ancient hieroglyphics. He was a mix of crocodile (head), lion (torso), and hippopotamus (legs).

In the car that Tadeo drives in the final credits you can see the license plate number 281009. It corresponds to 10/28/2009, the date of birth of Enrique Gato's son.

NOTES FROM THE DIRECTOR...

In each film I want to be sure that there are new ingredients with which to surprise, unexpected, that keep the audience glued to the seat waiting for the next scene.

When you are facing a third party, this task becomes very complicated and it was clear to me that it was not going to be a path of roses to find a new adventure for our hero.

It took about two years of script writing to put together that new story that would guarantee that Tadeo would have a well-deserved sequel. A sequel that does not simply take advantage of the inertia of the previous ones, but rather elevated this saga several rungs higher.

Today I can say that the decision I made years ago to marry a third party has been worth it and I cannot be more proud of all the fellow travelers who have made it possible. Between all of us we have managed to take Tadeo to new heights of emotion, comedy and, of course, adventure. An adventure made for the public, to be enjoyed in its purest form: in front of a movie screen.

NOTES FROM THE SCREENWRITERS...

(I'm putting all of this part because everything is very interesting)

The saying that second parts were never good is NOT true with Tadeo. If the first installment was a critical and public success, the second part not only kept the bar, but also expanded Tadeo's universe both emotionally with the characters of Sara and Mummy, and technically in terms of animation quality and visual effects.

Therefore, the commission of a third part has been a huge challenge for the whole team and, especially, for us as writers when it comes to creating a new story that continues to improve the franchise, that maintains its spirit and that does not fall into formulas that may sound topical or predictable.

When they called us to write the script, Enrique Gato told us: “we have to go up a notch and make the best film in the saga”.

It was our first animated film and we had been dreaming of this moment all our lives: we had to measure up. We set three goals. First we needed to lay the foundations well by finding a theme that would give more depth to the story and at the same time touch the emotions of the public, both children and adults.

But we couldn't forget that we were making an adventure film: we had to make it even more exciting than in previous installments. And finally, the comedy. You can't make a Tadeo Jones movie without ensuring a good number of hilarious moments. So we decided to raise the decibels of risk and madness.

The theme we have chosen is recognition and the dangers involved in seeking fame at all costs and forgetting what is truly important: friends, family, the team that accompanies us along the way. In this installment, we start from a Tadeo who has discovered Paititi and the Midas necklace, but who has never been able to tell about it. Tadeo should be the most famous archaeologist of all time, but his discoveries are too dangerous and he must hide them. So in the eyes of the world, Tadeo is still a worker who loves to find treasures. But he is dying to be an archaeologist, to be accepted as one more by the community of adventurers.

Now, thanks to a clue about a very ancient and magical Egyptian artifact, The Emerald Tablet, he will have the opportunity to achieve his goal... although he must be careful not to let that ambition slip out of his hands and end up like the previous owners. of the table: dominated by his magical powers and what is worse, alone. In this film, Tadeo risks everything. Fortunately, he is not alone in this adventure. Beyond his desire to find the tablet and become the famous archaeologist he always dreamed of, Tadeo will learn that the most important thing is not the treasure you find, the most important treasure is the people who accompany you on the adventure.

As for comedy, with Mummy we were already on the safe side. There is no better character to get carried away towards the absurd and enjoy. But we wanted him to be accompanied by more crazy characters.

That's why we created the Egyptian mummy Ra Amon Ah, aka "Ramona", and caused the mixture of Jeff and Belzoni into a single animal with the head of a parrot and the body of a dog or vice versa depending on whether he sneezes (Jeffzoni or Beljeff). Tadeo will suffer with everyone's craziness and the public will enjoy it.

We couldn't be more proud of the result. We are like children screaming with illusion because the dream has come true.

NOTES FROM THE SOUNDTRACK COMPOSER...

The leitmotifs are fundamental in each film and are linked to certain moments and especially to the characters. The first leitmotiv were created with the Tadeo short. In each film we have been adding new ones as in this third installment; to the leitmotiv of Tadeo, Mummy and Sara, created for the first two films, we add the leitmotif of Ra Amon Ah (Ramona?), the new Egyptian mummy, and the leitmotif that accompanies the narration of the legend of Hermenegildo Trismegisto and the table emerald.

In the case of Egypt, harmonies or instruments consistent with this locality have not been sought, but the inspiration has been more Hollywood-like, narratively, the sound did not need to be too ethnic.

The first sequence of Tadeo shows us a hero in the middle of an adventure, we enter the film and find ourselves in the same situation as our hero Tadeo. In that sequence I wanted to pay a new tribute to John Williams, just like the previous installments.

NOTES FROM TELECINCO CINEMA...

This third installment of Tadeo Jones is, without a doubt, the most ambitious of the saga, and surely one of the most anticipated films on the billboard.

Produced entirely in Spain with the direction of Enrique Gato and the screenplay by Manuel Burque and Josep Gatell, the film opens in Spanish theaters on August 26 and at the same time will begin its international tour through several countries in Europe, America and Oceania. We are confident that the public will return to theaters to enjoy one of the most beloved characters in Spanish animation.

NOTES FROM IKIRU FILMS...

Of all the films I have produced, Tadeo is undoubtedly the most beloved and popular. People of all ages have grown up with Tadeo and made him a part of their environment. That is why we now had the responsibility to take another step forward and, hand in hand with its creator Enrique Gato, accept the challenge of overcoming everything we had done. With a script by Gatell and Burque, with new characters and the extraordinary talent of the team at Lightbox Animation, we are proud to see that Tadeo has not only come of age, but that he does so with the best, most ingenious and funniest of his adventures, to prove once again that there is nothing better for a whole family than a good movie session.

We are tremendously proud to be part of this wonderful feat. After thousands of hours of work by hundreds of people during the last four years, Tadeo travels from the pyramids of Mexico to arrive in Egypt for the first time. In addition, he brings back our favorite moment: that of putting on our hats, meeting with Sara, Mummy, Jeff and Belzoni, and preparing to live unrepeatable adventures. We are ready. The fun is back. Tadeo in action!

LIGHTBOX NOTES...

With Tadeo's first feature film we just wanted to make an honest film, one that we would go see. In it, the only thing that was clear to us was that we wanted there to be mummies because we had already seen in the first short that they had pull and worked, so in order not to repeat ourselves, we decided that, instead of Egyptian, they would be Inca. Given the success of Tadeo's first feature film, we had the difficult challenge of overcoming ourselves for the second part of it. How could we do it? We decided to play the game at home, more specifically in Granada and "Mortadelizar" Mummy with his costumes and there are still spectators who are still in love with our "Mummy Flores" and his anthological zapateado in Tadeo Jones 2, the Secret of the King Midas.

So the challenge before Tadeo Jones 3 was enormous, and we decided to resort to common sense: What is better than a mummy? 2 mummies, and even better if one is cursed and they are of different nationalities and social classes. Thus was born Ra Amon Ah, our Egyptian mummy, Queen of the 18th dynasty, advisor to Nefertiti and aunt of Tutankhamun, in front of… ahem, Mummy.

So many things, but this is what I have to say for the moment:

- Victoria is Sara's ex friend AND a victim of the Emerald Tablet. VINDICATION!

- Although that still doesn't explain Tad grabbing the emerald tablet and being fine in that screenshot.

- Btw does that mean Sara stopped being Victoria's friend because the latter started to follow the paranormal?

- Then I wonder what passed through Sara's head when meeting the living mummies from Paititi the first time?

- It's like I'm besties with someone but stop seeing her when she starts to worship the giant flying spaghetti.

- Years later I have an encounter with Lord Spaghetti and the first two things that would cross my head are "WTF!???" and "Damn, I really should said to X that I'm so sorry I called her a loony"

- Really, what happened betweent Sara and Victoria that ended on bad terms?

- But you know what this means? We got Sara lore! Yay!

- The agents and the mean trio are antagonists, but the true Big Bad is THE EMERALD TABLE. It was in the title of the movie all along! Clever Spaniards...

Si vous vous intéressez un tant soit peu à l'art, que cela vienne de la Photographie, de la Peinture, du Digital Art, alors il est impossible que vous soyez passé à côté DU sujet du moment : L'IA vs Artistes.

En effet, plutôt récemment, le monde a connu l'innovation des IA, acronyme d'Intelligences Artificielles. Certes, leurs utilisations ne datent pas d'hier, que ce soit dans le domaine informatique, médicale... Pour ne citer que cela.

Mais récemment sont arrivées plusieurs IA "d'arts". Entièrement numériques, leurs principe est simple : prendre des images de l'internet selon un thème entré par l'utilisateur, et en former une œuvre d'art nouvelle et unique. Sur le papier, tout est beau et propre. Donnant accès à des personnes dont les compétences laquent dans ce domaine, permettant un simple loisir à d'autres, exprimant la créativité infinie... Mais est-ce vraiment de l'art ?

Ce sujet fait en ce moment polémique, surtout auprès des artistes. Malheureusement, malgré leurs travail acharné, beaucoup de ces derniers ont peur que ces Intelligences Artificielles ne prennent leurs avenir. C'est vrai, imaginez si un jour un robot faisant tout mieux que vous apparaissait dans votre vie, séduit votre parent et se fais embauché au même poste que le vôtre. N'auriez-vous pas peur ? Oui, vous êtes "humain", ce qui apparemment est toujours vu comme un avantage. Mais il y a une chose que l'on oublie souvent : l'IA n'a pas besoin d'être payée, elle. Le prix de l'achat est élevé, mais à long terme... La peur d'être viré n'est-elle toujours pas là ?

Et enfin, il y a également un point de vue légal qui s'impose. Car peut-être que cela ne fait rien à l'utilisateur, en soit il n'est pas responsable, il entre juste quelque mots et "son œuvre" est formée. Cependant cette œuvre ne vient pas de nul part. Rien d'autre que des arts postés sur internet tel que sur des sites comme Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr... servent à créer ce que l'IA vous propose. Mais est-ce que les artistes de ces dernières ont accepté de donner leurs travaux pour ce projet ? Eh bien non. Aucun accord n'a jamais été demandé par les créateurs de ces IA, ce qui engagent aujourd'hui plusieurs procès concernant les droits d'auteurs. Car un artiste passe du temps et de l'argent derrière sa création, tout comme le créateur de l'IA en passe également sur le robot. Mais elle, l'IA, ne passe que quelques secondes avant de faire apparaître un mélange de couleurs et de formes ne lui appartenant même pas, et surtout ne payent pas ce que les artistes font pour vivre.

Aujourd'hui, les artistes se battent pour que ces IA disparaissent, ou s'engage au moins à contacter et demander l'autorisation, payer l'utilisation de leurs œuvres (comme le principe des commissions). Mais les IA sont comme la boite de Pandore. Renfermant un pouvoir sombre et infini, une fois ouverte, on ne peut plus la refermer. Trop de gens sont maintenant fanatiques de ce genre de contenu amusant et ludique, oubliant parfois la triste vérité derrière...
