The most unrealistic thing amc interview with the vampire is the fact that every french character could speak English

Also the most realistic thing is the fact that Madeleine instantly changed language to English when she heard Claudia's bad french

One thing i very much appreciate aesthetically about Interview with the vampire(TV) is that their curl game is immaculate.

Lestat has somewhat wavy hair, but everyone else has curls, and I am in fucking heaven. I love curls, and all of theirs look a-ma-zing!

You know how Louis has this rock garden he uses to ground himself by sticking his bare feet in the pebbles?

The texture and colour of those rocks looks very familiar.

Big oof. I wonder why Louis finds this reminder of being buried alive comforting.

Is it because Armand saves him? Is it because he was forced to sit with himself and reflect on all of his past mistakes?

Some part of Louis thinks he deserves what happened to him, seeing as he and Armand talk about how there's still pebbles trapped in his feet from his various regenerations. Is this an act of humbling himself or just another Louis self-flagellation?

Anyway, others have probably picked up on this. I just found it interesting.

Just finished watching the TV adaptation of Interview with the Vampire ….

It was incredible!! I loved the references to memory and narrative and Louis’ headspace of still loving and having these complicated feelings about someone who hurt you!! I think when you’re in a toxic relationship it’s so hard to separate the good times and moments of tenderness with ultimately how horrendous the dynamic was in those other moments….

Of course the 1994 version and the book has such an important place in my heart but I was so impressed with how it enhanced the narrative rather than trying to simply adapt the story.

Other adaptations- learn from this!!
