Boba Fett (Star Wars Droids) Black Series 6“. Been a while since I “played” with my 6” Black Series figures (I sold most of them anyway) but as far as I can see, this figure is exactly like the original Boba Fett 6” figure but of course with a different paint—and that’s okay. Maybe the dent in the helmet could have been removed for special versions like this at this point but whatever. Also in a perfect world the visor would have been remolded to have more likeness with the one seen in the cartoon, which seems more narrow and angled. I am okay with the rather bland looking plain gray guns as I wouldn’t expect much details for the accessories of a cartoon character. What I do however have issues with is that the elbow and shoulder articulation has not been improved so ol’ Boba again can’t hold his gun closer to his chest in both hands. Also I am under the impression that the plastic used for this figure is less elastic and more brittle than that of the original figure: while I tried to get his index finger on his gun’s trigger, I almost broke the finger off. Also the gun itself looks as if it may break in the middle at one point, if you put it into and out of his right hand too many times— or maybe not, I am not keen to find out too soon. Also the cape is a bit too stiff for my taste and now where I am at the end of this personal review, it seems as if I don’t like this figure at all. The opposite is the case. I do like it and it will probably stand on my desk for a while. I guess it’s hard to do anything wrong with Boba Fett, even though “The Book of Boba Fett” has proven that it is indeed possible.
