I've been dragged into an Invader Zim fixation and have designed my own OCs; Vi (she/her), Ilo (he/him), and Itt (itt/itts)!
Info on them is below the cut!
Vi is an invader who was in a similar but slightly better siutation as Skooge. She was sent to a planet that was initially deemed "highly dangerous" for her kind, but through successful infiltration was able to survive and conquer the planet, becoming their "leader." The inhabitants became slaves to the Empire shortly after, and the planet became an asset in gathering raw materials (particularly for snacks) for the army. Because of her success, she was granted the opportunity to continue overseeing the planet and its operations.
Ilo is a former Irken Pilot who became traitorous shortly after the appearance of the Resisty. Though very military-oriented, Ilo sometimes thought back on the planets he and other pilots were ordered to put under "Organic Sweeps" and sometimes felt a sense of regret. This feeling eventually became overwhelming when he and others who were a part of the Armada were ordered to put the planet of Vort under the same attack, and it was then he realized he needed to find a way out. He saw his opportunity for escape upon learning of the Resisty, and left the armada with his ship while his fellow pilots attempted to reunite with the Massive.
Itt is an Irken scientist whose experiments are quite questionable, to say at the very least. Itt is very quiet, but if itt is persuaded to talk, itt will talk your ears/antenae off in a slow, precise way. Itt is also heavily dedicated to itts work, and was once even captured by an enemy army only to continue itts work while a prisoner without much bother.
okey so it's been a little while since i dropped some selfship brainrot but i was kind of thinking of a little mermaid au, except rather than albedo being the human prince, i think he'd fit the bill for being a mer too since he's very pretty <3
then i'd most likely be the human princess who helps him find another way to communicate since he can't speak, so maybe through drawings on paper and often leaves little hearts for me to find
but in your case, would you be the mermaid or human royalty? :0
MERMAID AU.... that's honestly such a good fit >< i think albedo would keep his inquisitive nature as a mermaid. probably disregards warnings from alice not to go to the surface to go and see u ‹3 i also just imagine klee being curious bcs where did albedo go??? and she followed him once only to see him !!! talking !!! to this pretty human by the seashore !!!! ++ the drawings are so cute. maybe, he'll even collect seashells to make a necklace? all for u :D
for me, it'd depend on who's in the au with me! i can see myself in both roles bcs i've also got a curious mind who wants to find out abt other species. ayato would deffo be human royalty LOL he just fits the royalty vibe & his being that is close to canon. wanderer = half-mermaid half-??? bcs i'm trying to keep the 'discarded' theme in this au. imagining the lore for this rn woahhhh.
@bunniesandbeheadings I might misunderstand the text you linked. How could Mary call Edward a bastard? KoA was dead by then, and of course widowers can remarry. Calling Jane a legitimate Queen in no way would take away KoA’s status as Queen?
all of hviii's marriages after catherine of aragon were not recognised by the catholic church/pope. when he needed dispensations for these marriages, like for affinity (his marriage to jane was one of them), they were granted by the anglican church, whose authority the pope and other catholic monarchies of christendom did not recognise (the last real 'papal' henrician appointment, irony of ironies, was thomas cranmer's). there was also the matter of all marriages taking place when the realm was in schism, thus "all other women of henry concubines and not wives". prince edward was (legitimate) heir as reified by parliament; both retroactively from the succession act of 1536 and in name by the one of 1543.
foreign dignitaries of course, when they visited, would honour whoever henry's wife was as queen to maintain good relations and as matter of diplomacy (this wasn't, of course, done by the imperial until the last weeks of AB's time as queen, but otherwise, she was, even if 'frostily' by the french as in 1534). but they were often under instruction to treat this status as transient, as lauren mackay has summarized in her biography of chapuys, for example, charles v was rather mercenary in his attitude towards jane seymour, continually referring to her as henry's 'mistress' well into their marriage in his own instructions to chapuys:
"It appears Charles [V] was at times rather ruthless in regards to Jane, despite the fact that her being in power benefitted Mary. Charles referred to her in several dispatches as Henry's mistress rather than queen [...]"

What do other control brains look like besides "IX"?
@small-rin
Sorry these are taking so long! But I am STILL answering asks!!!!
I didn't have too much of a concept outfit wise for the other control brains but I did a bit of designing on how the other Brains might have looked inside CB's virtual world.
So here's:
I- Control Brain of Upper Irk
X- The Irken outpost Control Brain
VI- The Military Control Brain
the dalek toaster: the doctor discovers the daleks are manufacturing ordinary household items when he stumbles upon a dalek toaster in the house of his new companion
a taxing job: having put the dalek toasters behind them after investigations come to a dead end, the doctor and companion must stop an alien scheme to take over britain via tax fraud
it's behind you: some sort of fucked up psychological horror episode which makes sure you will never look at curtains the same way again
marvin (or, the second to last of the time lords): the doctor stumbles upon an accountant with a mysterious fob watch. the companion stumbles upon a plot to invade scotland (to mix things up). the two dovetail when it becomes clear that the guileless "marvin" is somehow at the centre of the scheme. things turn violent when marvin opens the fob watch, revealing that he is in fact narvin and the doctor is exactly as annoying as he's always been
god save the king: the doctor and companion go back to 1553 (quite by accident) to visit... well, they were going for elizabeth i, but hit edward vi instead. the doctor is trapped helping the dying king, whilst the companion must solve the problem of killer robots in tudor london themself
the dalek of the rani: the finale. the doctor discovers that the dalek scheme from the first episode is due to the rani genetically engineering daleks to be capitalists (by accident. she was actually just trying to make them more hateful). when it's over the doctor and the rani quietly agree they'll never talk about this or each other again
[BONUS MINISODE] braxolotl: the doctor's brother has been turned into an animal. can the doctor turn him back before it's too late?
Himeko, gesturing to Trailblazer, Dan Heng and March 7th: These are my beautiful children. They're not very smart but they're all such good kind people with nothing but love in their hearts.
Yukong, gesturing to Tingyun and Qingni: These are my terrible daughters who I've had to bail out of jail five times each this month because Qingni keeps causing starskiff pileups and Tingyun likes to scam children. Despite this, they are my most important people and losing them would send me spiraling.
Natasha, giving a thousand yard stare while Seele, Sampo, Hook and Luka destroy Jarilo-VI behind her: These are the foul wretched screeching devils who have invaded my life with the intention to destroy everything they touch and refuse to give me a moment's peace. I. Love. Them.
