Ghostly Case
When Richard Grayson was asked to investigate the murder of Daniel Fenton he didn't think much of it. Sure, it was extremely sad, but Dick was a cop, he saw cases like that every day, it was a little unusual to be asked to investigate it directly but that was okay.
Dick didn't know the rabbit hole he had gone down. There were so many complications, and none of the witnesses were cooperating, the boy's family refused to see his body!!!, to make matters worse someone had stolen the damn corpse.
So yeah, Dick couldn't be blamed for bringing Nightwing into the case, maybe Bruce would scold him later but he didn't care, Nightwing had resources that Officer Grayson didn't and that was all that mattered.
When he finally thought he had figured something out a ghost appeared in his apartment, scared and asking for help. Of course the case was more complicated, what did he expect?
But Dick had never been able to say no to a scared teenager and he wasn't about to start now.

A tale as old as time: a brilliant chase between a sly phantom thief and a—hey wait a minute!
Phantom Thief!Shuichi Saihara and Detective!Kokichi Ouma for my fic, [He Lies in Spades].
Where in Shuichi is a daring yet methodical phantom thief/vigilante dead set on exposing the truth and Kokichi is the eccentric, genius detective hot on his tail!
(reuploaded because I realized that my PT!Saihara looked too similar to a few PT!Ouma's, my bad! New design has more of a detective trench coat vibe befitting of our retried private eye!)

Thank you for saying that I honestly feel embarrassed because I have no friends right now after cutting off a toxic group and I'm working through my issues in therapy but I am still really self conscious at how many posts I see lately that are about red flags around having no friends and it's nice to know that not everyone feels that way.
I think it's fair to consider it a red flag, but like, red flags are never and should never be the hard line so many people seem to think they are. It's a red flag if someone has no friends, but so is, like, talking about exes negatively early on in a relationship. Or sharing too much about a traumatic event too early on. Or just certain phrasing around certain topics and questions.
All of that stuff can be genuine, honest, and completely benign!
I was lucky to escape my toxic friend group with one other person, and I'm lucky that I make connections relatively easily. But I did talk shit about them pretty frequently for a while; I was hurting and upset, and I struggled not to talk about it. I didn't have anything to gain from that, and I had the good sense to at least avoid letting the conversation go on for too long or steer into comforting-me territory, but like. It was a red flag, and I wouldn't fault anyone for thinking that. If anything, I prefer that they know what to look out for in order to stay safe.
Anyway, all of this to say: absolutely, and I also made that post in response to one saying that not having friends shouldn't be red flags. Because I think it should be- and I think it shouldn't be taken as an insult or bad-faith-reading if someone sees red flags in your behavior.
But if someone's treating every possible red flag as a reason to cut someone off, punish them, or pressure them to change generally benign behaviors- rather than something that might be innocent, and is worth looking into- that's a red flag. Certainly more of one than just Not Having Friends Right Now.

Meanwhile, in addition to Moxxy, guess who got to go to her first vet visit.
In addition to just getting her used to visiting the vet and doing the rescue check-up, Sweet Pea has, since being found in the engine, been dealing with some off and on gut problems. We will get it straightened out, but for now she's a lil stink bug!

hi, so there's this one writing prompt i've been wanting to find for a while now for a fic, and i want to direct in the notes a link for where you can find it, but i found it over on Pinterest.
the prompt goes something like this:
assassin is set to kill the young prince and the young princess of a kingdom, however, was hired by both the queen (the kids stepmother, ofc) and their uncle.
the uncles wanted them dead by the border to a neighbouring kingdom, to start a war or smth.
the queen wanted them dead at sea.
or it was flipped, i don't really remember.
either way, the assasin 1) feels wrong about killing kids, and 2) is in a pretty bad situation bc of the job. and 3) states that they've "always wated kids"
he ends up giving a pair of daggers to the prince and princess, and that's pretty much where the prompt ends. the prince and princess are runaways too, if that helps.
if you can find it, thank you so much. i would very much so apreaciated it.
this one initially stumped me. my first thought was to go to writing-prompt-s and look through there. of course, that's not where it was. so, i took a trip over to my trusted source, google images, where i hit that search bar with countless phrases before finally finding the pinterest post that my client had mentioned. but i wasn't gonna stop there. i first checked the first username in the reblog chain and... nothin'. i checked the second username... nothin'! i thought i was outta luck, when i decided to go back to my ol' friend google search bar and ask for "tumblr evil stepmother/usurping uncle otp." and lo and behold, there it was. i quickly snatched that sucker up and copied the link.
this one stumped me all day, but i finally tracked it down! i hope you enjoy this one! i know i did. have a great day!
