Hi I just discovered your art because I followed the tag thunderstorm. I do that because I used to live in an area where we got rain all the time and now I live in an area where a thunderstorm is extremely rare. So if I want to feel like I've experienced it I have to look at pictures of it. That being said I was so impressed with the facial expressions on your drawings.

I can tell you right now I know almost zero about Pokemon other than seeing characters and knowing their names. But you can convey so much emotion in your facial expressions even though they are so simply done. And I don't see that in other drawings of anything.

I see your post almost daily because it says "Since you follow thunderstorms you might like..."

I passed one where the character is looking down and looking very sad and probably crying, and I really and truly FELT that. You conveyed that emotion so clearly.

I just wanted to say good job and keep going!!

And I'd love to hear more about your character.

I have been sitting here for like thirty minutes trying to figure out how to respond to this ask and I have no idea how This is like the most lovely ask I've ever gotten and I just want to hold it gently forever

Ask dlgame: random rant' I am 3/4 of the way through the lathe of Heaven by Ursula K Le Guin.

Ages ago I saw the movie I'm not sure if it was on cable or a movie channel but I remember watching it over and over and really falling in love with it though my memory is so bad I can't remember much of it except that I was completely enthralled.

Forward 40 years.

I saw the author's name here on Tumblr and decided I wanted to start reading her. Imagine my surprise when I found out she had written the book that the movie was based on! So of course I devoured it, and it is excellent. I think almost anyone would enjoy it

I'm on mobile and for the longest time icons or showing up so tiny you could hardly see them. But now they are back to being big and I hope that them being small did not cost you any likes or anything. I felt really bad when they got small cuz I thought that people would pass them by more. But I don't know if you knew any of this because I don't know how it looks to you. Anyway everything looks great again and I just wanted to say hey and have a nice day!

Oh cool, I hope they go back to being larger on my phone soon lol. Seems Tumblr updates Android first and then iOS (or that's what happened when they went small anyway). I think the smaller size is reducing the number of likes, but that's okay. I do hope they fix the gifsets though, because they look weird and spaced out now.

axe then fires spyros — for putting wendy in trouble re: ice juice and because everyone hates him — and spyros screams that he’s all the wilburys put together (roll credits!) as security guards drag him out.

as to my actual answer: honestly, i didn’t even know who the traveling wilburys were until i’d watched that episode of billions and, eventually, bothered to look them up. and i don’t have any intuitive sense of “ah, yes, of course jack nicholson would be a wilbury but richard dreyfuss wouldn’t” (or of disagreement with one or both parts of that) in response to axe and wags talking about it. i’ve seen billions fans on twitter and elsewhere assessing people as Wilburys or Not Wilburys, but it’s never occurred to me to do. (though it certainly is something to consider as an example of Subtext Becoming Text re: who billions considers Cool and Worthy in various ways and why.)

"Actually, listen to" makes it seem like you're just pretending to listen to the songs. How does one do that? Well, I promise I actually do listen to the following LOL

1. This is my favorite Blues Travelers song. I just love everything about it! The harmonica solo alone is the reason to listen to it!

2. There are many reasons that I love this song. I literally sing the bass line all of the time. I love primus so much. Les Claypool is one of my favorite bassists,his style of playing is mind-blowing.

3. This is so hard because all five of my songs could have easily been from this next band. So I'm going to go with the song I'm obsessed with right now. I don't care what people think about Fall Out Boy. You can't deny that they have a way with words!

4. This song just makes me want to play the piano again. Billy Jole is one of my favorite musicians♥️

5. I know this is a cover but there's something about Trixie's voice in this song thst is fucking perfection 🥰
