as somebody who isn’t a fan of tommy, i think there definitely is nuance to the discussion of the hate taylor/shannon/abby/ana/marisol got vs the hate tommy is getting, and it isn’t as simple as saying it’s the same because it really isn’t.

the hate tommy is getting is strange. there are people talking about killing his character with a gun, calling him a pedophile and a groomer, and wishing harm upon him in ways that reflect hate crimes perpetrated against real queer people today.
