I know the headcanon of Beverly and Will being besties is cute but lol it is insane. That man has no capacity for friendship in the way y'all be writing (which again is fine you do you but it always makes me laugh). I honestly commend you for making Will so human like oh he likes country songs because he grew up in Louisiana, oh he would so (insert cute little human behavior), because to me that man is the devil, he is a fallen angel, an alien, he has no past, he came to be, and he does not have tastes besides idk the particular taste of blood or something

Been thinking a lot about characters who don't have tragic/complicated/lore-filled Backstories cause I just finished Neverwhere and Richard is just like some guy. Neil never explains why he's special and he can see door, he just does.
Tolkien never explains why Gandalf chose Bilbo. I don't even think we ever find out what career Bilbo had before going on his journey. He has no Backstory at all.
Rose Tyler was just a totally normal girl. So was Arthur Dent. So was... Another example, sorry I'm tired, I already gave you four.
Look, I'm not saying elaborate/tragic/mythic Backstories are bad, my WIPs are chock full of them, I just think writblr sometimes acts like they're mandatory and they don't have to be.

"a mutually unspoken pact to ignore the worst in one another to continue to enjoy the best" the fuck was the best? little exchange of riddles and poetic talk? flirting in therapy? it was the gay sex also what was will considering the worst in himself in hannibal's perspective? the constant smell of fish? the low quality flannels...? lol no it was not the fact that they saw/understood each other bc that would include the worst lol

*sighs*
The comments for AKAA honestly breaks my heart
Like....someone literally had the audacity to say Haruka was never neglected and he's just some spoiled brat that thought of himself as 'weak, cute and lovable' therefore attention should never be taken away from him
And someone else said that Weakness was now 'useless' cause AKAA showed his 'true colors'
.......................We're talking about the same Haruka Sakurai, right?

It really is amazing the lengths reached to absolve Maeglin of any responsibility for his actions. Everyone from Turgon to Idril to Tuor to Aredhel and probably others too are blamed for his choices. Maeglin probably had a rough childhood pre-Gondolin. His entry into the city was certainly traumatizing. He was also a grown ass adult (loved, accepted, and respected by his fellow Gondolindrim, including Turgon) when he chose to betray the last stronghold of the Elves to Morgoth and then not tell the city what he had done and in fact counsel Turgon to stay rather than evacuate (and, in The Fall of Gondolin, also continue to contact Morgoth with updates from the city) because Morgoth had promised him he could stick his dick in Idril if Morgoth took the city.
He didn't die because of choices others made. He died because he tried to murder a child and that child's father caught his skeevy ass. If he didn't want to get tossed off the wall by Tuor maybe he shouldn't have stabbed seven-year-old Earendil and tried to chuck him over the city walls because his fantasy incel ass couldn't handle the fact that his crush was happily married.
