"I Laugh Like Me Again... She Laughs Like You" got a lot more attention than I thought it would. I'm so happy so many people liked it and want to read more!!

Problem is I wrote it on a whim and with no clear idea of where the story was going. And as of right now I have 2 different ideas for how this can go and I can't decide which one is better </3 I think I'll have to write a little of both to see which one will make more sense to me... so it might take a while. That and I also have the next part of "Fire on Fire", "The Devil I Revel In" and healer reader started.

New things I tried: As always, I wrote for fandoms and pairings I hadn't before. I also wrote original fic again after at least 10 years of not doing that. And my goal for this year was to practice smut, and I did, and at least I learned why I'm not very good at it, so I guess that's something XD

Fic I spent the most time on: Hm, I don’t know. I’m usually a quick writer once I have an idea. Maybe Gotta risk it for the biscuit, just because it's the longest fic I've written this year.

Fic I spent the least time on: As I said, I'm usually a quick writer anyway. It's probably one of those short prompt fics I did.

Favourite thing I wrote: Hmmm. Probably somehow escape the burning wait (shiver deep within). I didn't plan to write smut there at all, but I love how it turned out.

Looking Back, Did You Write More Fic Than You Thought You Would This Year, Less, Or About What You’d Expected? Well, my goal was to write 50.000 words this year, and I did just a bit more, so I guess it's about what I expected :D

Story Of Mine Most Under-Appreciated By The Universe, In My Opinion: Most of my fics are rarepairs, so I never expect much feedback anyway. I did think that night watch and hard and fast would be more popular though. I know it's not the fandom's favourite pairing, and I very much wrote them for myself, but I didn't think that there was no audience at all for them. Ah well, they're still my OTP in that fandom.

Most Unintentionally Telling Story: Probably somehow escape the burning wait (shiver deep within), because I hadn't planned to write it that way.

Biggest Disappointment: I mean, not getting feedback is always a bit disappointing, but all in all, there wasn't that much to be disapppointed about this year.

Biggest Surprise: I did not think I would ever write Detective Conan fic, and Heiji/Kazuha at that. If you told 12 year old me, she would think you were insane XD

My Favourite Part Of Fandom This Year: Getting into Steter. Both the Valentine's exchange and the Secret Santa were wonderful, and everyone is absolutely lovely and very generous with their feedback and comments.

Writing goals for next year: Write more original fic.

Soo "She Laughs Like You" might end up being a little longer than I anticipated. I opened so many questions in the last 2 chapters that now I want to answer everything properly but also want some story and their relationship to be entertaining and make sense so yeah it might end up not being just a mini series after all.

the best thing about the way i got into one piece is that. i was literally just a child who took my brother’s manga without his permission thinking it was one of his R-rated mangas. so i expected nothing at all (other than maybe some naughty content but it’s not like little me had an idea what naughty might have even looked like) and i remember got hooked with the story instead from the very first volume (that would be until nami’s first introduction) and never thought anything bad from it because it was funny and there was nothing else i needed. i genuinely enjoyed it and thought zoro and luffy’s relationship was cool and i loved nami because she was naughty (girls?? being mischievous??)

meanwhile new readers/watchers are having a problem getting through east blue because they’re getting the series sold by longtime fans who’s already seen arlong park, alabasta, enies lobby, and marineford. we’re telling them THIS AMAZING MANGA PIRATE THE PEAK OF FICTION and then they get what? the black cat pirates. as a reader who knew nothing back then, zoro’s picking up luffy’s cage was the coolest moment in history. baratie was peak fiction. but then i got arlong and suddenly this little child brain witnessed her first ever complex characterisation in nami. my first ever betrayal, the complexity of friendship when u never had a genuine one to begin with

and then the story got better and even better that when we got to alabasta we were amazed because we’ve never seen that before in one piece and then enies lobby and despite the same betrayal we’ve already seen from nami it was still something different and big and we soon realise we were in the turning point of the story and everything’s fucked and the people i have been with for whatever short period of time i spent back then but somehow felt like a lifetime were suddenly in their lowest point and i felt that too

but i didn’t expect all of that at all when i picked up the first volume because i thought it was just a silly little manga, which it is, but then i got big moments that were huge but for some reason they didn’t look weird at all in this comedy manga. the paradox of one piece truly astounds me. and at the end of the day new readers/watchers would enjoy one piece even more if they approach it as the silly pirate story it is honestly
