Oh man just when I thought I've seen it all here I come across a bunch of pro-isreal blogs calling the Irish juddenhassen and characterizing them as "drunk football hooligans cosplaying as Palestinian" ... Talk about having a shallow and deliberately dismissive understanding of a country's history. I can't possibly imagine the history or conflict that makes Palestine relatable to the Irish. Also the 'cosplaying' dig is hilarious because you definitely wouldn't respect them more if they were actually Palestinian!

1. the euros 2020 game between denmark and finland should have been indefinitely postponed after christians cardiac arrest. it was absolutely harrowing for both the teams, family on the side of the pitch and everyone else present in the stadium and for play to be resumed was disrespectful

2. if death or life changing brain and/or spinal injuries are so common in a sport that the sports brutality is a selling point it should not be allowed to continue without a complete overhaul

Celtic Nations Composite Sides In Sport.

I think that the Celtic Nations should have Composite sides in some sports.

What I mean is that the Celtic Nations of Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Cornwall, the Isle of Man, and Brittany, should have united sides of players selected from all the Celtic Nations, at male and female sport in some sports.

In cricket the West Indies play as a composite side of some nations as one International cricket side.

In rugby union the Scottish, Welsh, Irish, and English join together to create the touring side of the British and Irish Lions.

So my idea would be that in some sport like football / soccer, basketball, cricket, rugby union, rugby league, tennis, golf, baseball, motor racing, netball, hockey, swimming, gymnastics, ice hockey, or snooker, that the Celtic Nations should unite in international competition, or in a touring side to play major teams.

For instance Celtic Nations Composite Side could play at international rugby union or cricket as a tour of some major international side.

Or perhaps a testimonial match in soccer could see Aberdeen FC, Glasgow Celtic, or Glasgow Rangers, or another big side could play against a united composite side of the selected players from the Celtic Nations.
